This place is pure happiness. Make sure to pay for parking as they do ticket the vehicles. This beach does tend to get busy on the weekends. You can have a fire at night here as long as it’s in a metal fireplace. Great sand as well!
This beach is so clean and peaceful. It is in a quiet area and feels like an oasis away from the madness in NYC Side note, if you’re someone who likes a classic beach day be prepared to see the locals stare if you are in anything but a linen button down and khakis. I have never seen a beach where people don’t wear swimsuits but here we are! All in all a beautiful spot and would definitely visit again.
It was a lovely beach. The day was sunny and bright. the ocean breeze was cool. The restaurant was as you entered the beach area, and the bathrooms were clean. It's a nice beach for riding the waves and tanning. The water temp was a tad cold.
One of the best beaches in the country! My happy place… 💙
Very nice Beach. You need to pay for parking by scanning a QR code in your phone. There are a few bikes that you can rent also by using an app to unlock them. There are several benches and bins between the parking lot and the beach itself. When I was there, there was a sign saying there’s no lifeguard.
Main Beach in East Hampton is a beautiful stretch of coastline that perfectly captures the charm of Long Island’s East End. Known for its clean, soft sand and gentle waves, it’s an ideal spot for a relaxing day by the ocean. The beach is well-maintained and has lifeguards on duty, making it a safe and family-friendly destination. What sets Main Beach apart is its peaceful, upscale atmosphere—there are no overwhelming crowds or noisy distractions, just the sound of the surf and sweeping views of the Atlantic. Sunrises and sunsets here are especially stunning, with the sky painted in vivid colors over the water. While parking can be challenging without a local permit, the experience is well worth it. Main Beach combines natural beauty with a sense of tranquility, making it one of the most enjoyable and iconic beaches in the Hamptons.
The parking is a nightmare. We stopped to grab a quick bite to eat and check out the scene. We went to park in the lot and it uses park mobile. I thought the app was broken because it was telling me I had to park for 11 hours. I was only going to be there for around 30 minutes. No where did it say flat rate parking or anything of that nature. I thought to myself no way they actually expect you to pay $50 for a quick stop this would be the most expensiveparking I have ever seen in my 36 years on earth. Anyway I got back to my car after a quick bite and surely I got a ticket. One would think a parking ticket of that nature might be $75-$100 as gross actions like parking in handicap spaces warrant $250 dollar tickets. Nope it was a $250 dollar ticket. I nicely asked the officer who was giving out the tickets how can you expect someone parking 15 minutes to pay the same as someone parking 11 hours. He couldn't even answer the question but explained it was flat rate parking. Honestly this should be illegal. Its not even like they lost any money because as soon as I left my spot someone else parked in it. Its just straight up greed and not right. This review is just to warn people trying to go here as I have no choice but to pay this outrageous ticket where the punishment doesnt fit the crime.
Great public beach, clean restrooms and some food options. We had plenty of room to relax and it was a great atmosphere. If you want food, make sure you have CASH. We got there later in the day so the parking lot was closed, but were able to park at the Lumber Lane lot in the village and take a free Circuit ride to the beach. Ended up taking a car back to our car since the Circuit line was a bit long at the end of the day.

What a beautiful place.!! It was a rainy day when we went, but it was even better like this. The whole reserve is well maintained and in excellent conditions. I really admire the talent of every artist that created all the beautiful art pieces. Felt so peaceful and great energy walking through every part of it.
I went on a Wednesday and there wasn’t anybody at the door so it was donation only. Since they only had cash and no QR code I wasn’t able to donate. The space itself was absolutely gorgeous! The grounds are meticulously cared for and I enjoyed all the artwork. I’m not sure the rules but it would be a great space for a picnic lunch if they allow it.The best thing is there are tons of benches everywhere so you can just sit and enjoy the moment. I will definitely be back!
Beautiful outdoor spaces. Beautifully landscaped flower gardens among tall trees. Meandering paths to really nice area to just sit and exhale until the parents come with their loud unruly children....but it's easy enough to find another peaceful spot. This is probably the best place to visit in all of the Hamptons for sure.
I recently visited LongHouse Reserve and had a wonderful experience. This beautiful park is perfect for a peaceful stroll, taking about an hour and a half to walk through. I recommend arriving early to avoid the crowds, as it gets busier later in the day. The parking area is quite small, so coming early also ensures you find a spot easily. The art installations scattered throughout the park are average, but the botanical elements are truly incredible. The variety of plants and well-maintained gardens create a serene atmosphere that's perfect for nature lovers. Overall, LongHouse Reserve is a lovely destination for a leisurely walk and a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle. Must!
Absolutely stunning garden. A lovely place to relax, especially on a nice day when plants are in bloom.
I came here on a gorgeous day over Memorial Day weekend with two others. The reserve was not crowded, there was plenty of parking, and was very tranquil. We did a docent tour with an amazing and extremely knowledgeable guide. There are so many obvious and subtle pieces of outdoor through the property so take your time to soak it all in. I highly recommend visiting the LongHouse Reserve as it is a lovely and almost magical experience. I cannot wait to go back.
Beautifully designed park, located in a quiet location, that will teleport you into a peaceful world. I would highly suggest visiting this place.
Unique combination of botanical and sculpture gardens. For me botanical and landscaping components of the reserve out-weighed the art part though. Variety of landscapes are packed into the acreage of the site. Visited on early September weekday, found ample parking and relatively few fellow visitors. Thoroughly enjoyed exploring grounds, allocate 1-2 hours to view everything.

Read bio on Krasner and had to make a pilgrimage. Interesting tour and beautiful location. Gave me chills to see remnants of Pollock drips and being in studio where Krasner painted. Even had their own outhouse .
Amazing just to be there. You can feel the energy in the studio. Much of the buildings and grounds have not been changed.
For the abstract impressionist artist this is Mecca. We came here last year and did drip painting at a family drip painting day event. We brought the canvases back and worked on them some more. This weekend was Jackson Pollock 2nd Annual Pilgrimage ... with more to come. Joyce who leads the drip painting sessions is great with the kids. The opportunity be inside his studio and to walk on the floor - on the paint (with booties on) is a spiritual experience. We do both the family drip painting at 10:00 and then the adult lecture tour at 12:00. The second tour adds a lot more information. Having followed Pollock since High School for over 50 years, visiting the Pollock-Kranser home is a personal experience that that transcends way beyond just a nice historic stop. If you are not a fan of Pollock or Krasner - you will learn something. Just sitting on the rocks in the backyard and looking over the view beyond views. will touch your soul. Staff is great, nice book store. This is an important place in American Art History.
I visited from the UK in the summer and it was very easy to find details about visiting hours online. I booked tickets in advance and when I realised that I would miss the last train back to NYC, Roberta kindly moved me to an earlier tour the same day. The studio and house tour did not disappoint and it was good to see a focus on both Lee and Jackson’s work. Helen was very knowledgable and I enjoyed talking to her about Jackson’s record collection. Special thanks to David for taking time to point out some of the colours on the studio floor from key Pollock pieces. I will definitely return for a follow up visit in the future.
This place is such a gem! Highly recommend a visit to any art enthusiast, history buff, or to someone who seeks unique “museums”. The whole place has a peaceful energy, and the staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable.
The Pollock-Kramer House is a must see if you are visiting the Hamptons. Walking through the home and studio of two great artists is a powerful and intimate experience. The floors still bear the drips and splatters from Pollock’s iconic “action painting” years. Inside the house, many of their personal belongings — their record player, library, furniture — are preserved much as Lee Krasner left them. After the tour, watch the 2000 documentary/drama, Pollock!
Much like the home studio of N.C. and Andrew Wyeth in Chadds Ford, PA, Jackson Pollock's is only open to visitors on rare occasions. So glad I was able to get permission to take a few exterior shots to see where he created his abstract expressionist paintings in a wood-framed barn and white shed. In 1945, Jackson Pollock and his wife Lee Krasner moved to what is now known as the Pollock-Krasner House and Studio in Springs on Long Island, NY. It's not hard to see why he was drawn to the area and this bohemian community. Bohemian culture always fascinated my Danish grandfather and father, and now me. A major figure in the abstract expressionist movement, Pollock was widely noticed for his "drip technique" of pouring or splashing liquid household paint onto a horizontal surface, enabling him to view and paint his canvases from all angles. It was called all-over painting and action painting, since he covered the entire canvas and used the force of his whole body to paint, often in a frenetic dancing style. This extreme form of abstraction divided the critics: some praised the immediacy of the creation, while others derided the random effects. A reclusive and volatile personality, Pollock struggled with alcoholism for most of his life. In 1945, he married fellow artist Lee Krasner, who became an important influence on his career and his legacy much like Jamie Wyeth was on Andrew Wyeth. Pollock died in a single-car crash in his Oldsmobile convertible while driving under the influence of alcohol. At the time, Krasner was visiting friends in Europe; she abruptly returned on hearing the news from a friend. One of the passengers, Edith Metzger, was also killed in the accident, which occurred less than a mile from Pollock's home. The other passenger, Ruth Kligman, survived. In December 1956, four months after his death, Pollock was given a memorial retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City. A larger, more comprehensive exhibition of his work was held there in 1967. In 1998 and 1999, his work was honored with large-scale retrospective exhibitions at MoMA and at the Tate in London. In 2016, Pollock's painting titled Number 17A was reported to have fetched $200 million in a private purchase. (excerpts from Wikipedia)
We made the trip from Philadelphia to Long Island to see this place, and it was magical. The home and studio have essentially remained unchanged since Pollock and Krasner resided there. Just being able to stand inside their studio on a floor covered in Pollock's drips surrounded by walls covered in Krasner's bright splatters was worth the price and the trip. The site is beautifully kept with loads of information available in a museum style format. The tour guides are fun and informative and the shop had a great selection of books and catalogs. I would highly recommend this place for any level art enthusiast. Thank you for making this available to the public!

The finest ingredients make up the tremendous selection of takeout and ready-made meals making the most of the abundant seasonal produce. Everything from their baked goods to their cheese selection is incredible. The staff that works here is incredibly friendly and for those who may say it can be pricey, well yes some things can but that’s the price you pay for the impeccable quality of their products!
Personally, I don’t like this place I get it that it’s the Hamptons but it’s so very expensive. I tried to get chicken and it was $22. The people there are not very kind and this place is so cramped and small and it took us around like half an hour just to get a few things. My friend put his hand on a crumb of a muffin and then the woman there forced us to buy the whole pack and it was around $30 I would not recommend going here unless you’re rich rich
This is for their Montauk Shop. I visited the shop for the first time today. Their products look good. The staff are extremely impatient and rude. I am a 69year old. I asked if there was a box for the muffins that I was purchasing. The sale’s person got nasty and impatient with me. Upon completing my purchase on my way out, I asked the sale’s person why she was being impatient with me. Her response to me “good bye” ( repeating it 3 times) while pointing me to the door. I was absolutely baffled. I suggest to anyone who has a foreign accent or look foreign to avoid this location.
I depend on this place most of the time, but especially when we have people over. The side dishes are a perfect compliment to anything on the grill. It is not cheap, but the quality is top notch.
All other stores do not stack up to Round Swamp! Everything I have tried is amazing. If you buy something and bring it home it will get eaten! The famous chicken salad is all the rage! Love the baked goods, guac you name it. Thank you Round Swap! This location is always busy best to get here early in the day.
The poor customer service ruins the place for me. Cannot stand how rude and dismissive they are 🙄👎🏽. Get over yourselves. I’m a nurse and have to put a smile on when I don’t want to sometimes too✌🏼😁not that hard.
They have one of the best crumb cakes, I’ve ever eaten! Prices are very high. Very popular joint.
We stayed in East Hampton for a weekend and were given the suggestion to go to Round Swamp Farm, I'm so glad we did! The food was absolutely incredible. They have a huge selection of pre-prepared foods, fresh produce and homemade KEY LIME PIE! Incredible. We will be back.

Such a fabulous event for the entire family and friends!! Love the welcoming and beautiful setting! Great music variety! Thank you!!
Halloween Silent Disco was such a blast! Great costumes and the DJs were great, most fun way to celebrate the spooky season!
The performance by Candace Bushnell about the history of her life in New York City and Sex in the City was outstanding. Guild Hall in East Hampton, NY is a perfect venue for unique performances.
Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy Great show, the cast and crew were so entertaining. Highly recommended.
I love Guild Hall. 🩷 Such a great variety of performances in a beautiful space. Most recently, I saw the Met in HD there, and it was wonderful. I also go to Guild Hall for the Hamptons Film Festival, to hear great music, see lovely ballet, etc. I'm grateful for such a fantastic resource in my neighborhood, and highly recommend everyone catch a performance there!
I've recently discovered this artist in residency program and it's a gem! The theater experience is so intimate and the Q + A at the end really makes you feel like part of the creative process.
What a fun night at guild hall- Decoupaging! Thank you GH for all the joy, education, inspiration and community you bring together! The food, the instruction, the folks who showed up- sooooo good!!! Can't wait for the next event!!!
Visiting Guild Hall is always fun. Lots of performances and events. We spent a lovely evening. Thank you!

A spontaneous visit turned into an unforgettable experience. And extra lucky because I was the only person there. The curator was so wonderful and attentive and I got to hear so many details and stories behind the designs and what inspired the pieces as well as hold 2 pieces one of which oddly the very last design. Such creativity and passion is truly inspiring, what a prolific creator with boundless imagination! Thank you very much!!
This is SUCH a hidden gem! The gardens are so peaceful and they have different local art on display each season. The handbag and painting collection inside was incredible. The curator totally created the experience - he was so knowledgeable and happy to answer our questions.
This collection of the works of Judith Leiber really came to life because of the man working there - he was SO engaging and knowledgeable and generous with his time. He told stories and even brought out two pieces for us to hold and open. Honestly I would have been ten minutes here on my own but stayed nearly an hour!
Wasn’t sure what to expect when I arrived, ended up having a lovey visit! The grounds are very pretty and contain quite diverse sculptures and installments. Was very delighted to learn more when going inside the building about both artists, their lives and their love of one another. Scott was greeted us warmly when we arrived and had extensive knowledge of all the pieces. He was wonderful! We were told the collection rotates so I’m excited to return during my next visit.
The grounds are beautiful and the museum is small but really cool! If you are a fan, the bags are amazing! They have some great booklets that are free and nice to bring home regarding the collection and their love story. It's a nice hidden gem in the Hamptons for a couple of hours.
Great collection of handbags. The Leiber's were there & we herd their story of how the met & how she got started designing her handbags.
We had such an amazing experience! A very unique and special legacy, stunning pieces of art. Scott(?) was incredibly nice and knowledgeable.
What a wonderful museum for the beautiful artwork of Judith and Gerson Leiber! Not to be missed if in the Hamptons and you enjoy fashion and art! Scott was an amazing tour guide and a wealth of fascinating information. Will definitely visit again. Thank you Scott!!

Beautiful place to camp. Love the water and woods! Looking forward to going back.
Such a beautiful quaint park- would recommend staying here albeit please be informed on the below before you make the trek out here: 1. Some of the staff is very kind but it seems that they have newly enforced rules that not all members are up to date on and there was one woman at the front desk that took this all very seriously and was quite intense - we received conflicting information depending on who we asked but on the way out a nice man at the front helped clarify all these check in guidelines to us. 2. Checking in with a car requires documents that are very strictly enforced…green key, car registration, license and proof of annual inspection. The reservation holder absolutely needs to have all hard copies of these items up to date and present for their car/any other car on the reservation or else you will be asked to leave the premises immediately (which unfortunately happened to the second party in our group). 3. If you have 2 cars staying on your site (which we did) be sure to have photos of all the above documents for the second vehicle with the reservation holder when you check in (photo proof we confirmed was fine for the second car at the original check in as long as they were not the reservation holder) - they will not allow the second car to check in at a later time if you do not show all their documents at original check in. This is very strictly enforced. Again, this park is beautiful!! We plan to stay here more often and over-all the staff was wonderful. While the ‘rules’ are strictly enforced and rigid- there was confusion amongst the various staff members and a little hostility from one in particular due to the confusion. I would just make sure you read all the rules and regulations/come prepared.
Nice wooded county Park. Sites only have water no electric or sewer. They do have new dump stations for 3 campers at a time on the main road. Sites are not very level and there isn't much cell service but still a decent place to camp
“Repulsive and Horrifying”, “Hell on earth”, “Human rights violation.” These are terms I would NOT use to describe the men’s public restrooms at Cedar Point campgrounds. There’s no shortage of wonderful things I could say about Cedar Point, but THIS REVIEW WILL FOCUS ON THE MEN’S BATHROOMS, as they were unequivocally the highlight of our trip! -An impressive legacy: There’s an info plaque explaining that the Cedar Point men’s bathrooms were actually designed by the same guy who designed the award winning Marriott Bonvoy bathrooms. And it shows! Don’t let the humble exterior fool you-once inside, you find yourself in a sparkling palace of grandeur - the PINNACLE of luxury! - Smart Showers: To shower, simply fashion a complex system of levers, pulleys and wheels to activate the water sensor. The showers are conveniently bluetooth enabled and accept Bitcoin! - Welcome to the ELECTRO-DOME: There are charging outlets on all the walls. None of them work at all but it adds sort of a fun “cyberpunk” decorative element! - Customer service: They have a 24/7 concierge at the sink who will give you a complimentary spritz of cologne, a mint, and a steaming hot-oil wrist and ankle massage. He doesn’t take no for an answer! He lives in a hollowed out space behind the sinks i think. -A flourishing ecosystem: If you’re like me and totally geek out learning about the local wildlife, you’ll appreciate the abundance of new and freakish insect species that will crawl up your legs while you piss. There are LEGIONS more insects INSIDE the men’s bathrooms than there are OUTSIDE in the woods, which for many, is a perk! According to the gals in our group, their restrooms are nothing like the men’s!? they said it was “very gross” and “pretty much what you’d expect for a campsite public restroom”. I really felt bad for them, so I am docking (1) star. We will be returning!
I’ve been staying out here all summer and I love it!!! Showers are clean, there is a pizza spot. And apparently they do a brunch also at the park store. Might be a separate entity but still nice to have! The beach isn’t too bad, but be careful of the currents.
We saw so many bad reviews that we were hesitant to book here, but it’s such a great deal for the Hamptons that we took a chance and I’m so glad we did. The glamping tent was lovely - comfortable bed and they provided towels and shampoo & conditioner which was a nice bonus. The tent was right on the water and we got a beautiful sunset. There is beach access in several locations very close to the tents (ours was just feet away) and you can walk along the water and swim. It was very peaceful. A perfect way to end the weekend for us. We also enjoyed pizza at their restaurant. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back.
Come time for check out, I had to give myself an extra day. I've travelled and camped in around 26 states and this location is one of my favorites. Friendly staff, quiet & peaceful environment, incredible views, swimming, hiking, a well stocked bar and delicious pizza menu... there's a lot to look forward to if you're planning to visit. Doug B. was a top notch host and went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable and enjoying our stay the entire time. I stayed in the "glamp" tents over looking the bluff and it was perfect! The amenities are basic, but its all you need to enjoy the stay at Cedar Point County Park. I knew immediately that I will be returning here for the rest of my life.
Campsite with small lots and no privacy. Neighbors were very loud playing music and talking loudly until 3 AM. Incredibly, no enforcement. No fire rings provided. If you’re used to camping upstate, this is different and worse. More regulations and rules than the state run campsites, more expensive, and yet they can’t enforce basic quality of life issues like noise properly?

Excellent visit. The tour was great. The house has preserved many items. It was fascinating to see 18th-century dishes and the home's decor. The female guide was very pleasant and told us about many other places to visit in the city. Highly recommend this museum to everyone.
Beautiful location next to the windmill. The guide was very pleasant and well-informed. The old house is well cared for, and has some great older clocks and porcelain on display. Easy parking - at least during the “off-season”. Recommended.
Absolutely amazing place. Took wedding photos inside.
Fabulous! We literally were on our way walking after getting our coffees to Main Beach and admired the building, garden and windmill... and then daughter saw how it was open and so we stopped in. The Docent was fabulous! Greeted us immediately and took us on the tour of the house and the belongings and furnishings and explained really well the history behind Payne and Buerk... well done! Glad that we stopped in and got to view a historical home!
Very beautiful garden and cute house that has been turned into a museum. All rooms with the many collectibles can be visited. A very nice guide told us a little about the story of the house.
What a gem and what a great, passionate, knowledgeable and witty guide inside!!!!
I went to visit it a month ago but it was closed. Still from the outside looks beautiful
Well, I never got to see the inside of this museum because there was nobody to be found inside when I visited (maybe they were on a bathroom break--very strange), but the outside of the building, the windmill behind it and the church next-door all make for some nice photographs, so you should stop by while you are out here (the beach will wait).

As a Wedding Photographer I highly recommend this location for a Vintage, Boho, Barn Wedding ... It's a magical place :)
Very unique opportunity to see a structure of this age on Long Island. So interesting as the home dates from the 1700s and is pretty much in the original state. Originally from 1680 but they are not sure how much of that structure remains. East Hampton has an active historical organization so you can benefit from their knowledge. They researched local records from all sources. Arrange visit early to get the tour. East Hampton a lovely visit.
It's educational. The guy that was inside the farmhouse was helpful and answers our questions. There's an old spinning wheel that my kids thinks it's from sleeping beauty.
Mix and match your historicals, farm with windmill, church with services, memorial arbor dating to the 17th century and the Home Sweet Home museum. 700yds further on James lane is a rebuilt saltbox house and in front of the original town graveyard that Lion Gardiner calls home is the Gardiner Windmill. Two Historical Markers (landmarked) are across from each other in the graveyard and across the road. Back down towards town just past the Mulford farm is another landmarked marker for the First Town Church. A must stop if you're touring the Windmills of East Hampton, not far away (1500yds as the crow flies) but on private property is the one built into a house (Robert Downey Jr. owns it). The graveyard, village geen and village pond are all NRHP landmarked. Mill is in back of the Payne Home Sweet Home museum at #14 James lane, it is the Pantigo Windmill, in 1917 Gustav Buek purchased and moved it to the backyard of HSH from Pantigo rd & Egypt ln, where it had been for 72 years.
The Mulford Farm museum is a great place to take the kids. Along with this particular location they also have several other historic buildings that can be viewed including the newly renovated Thomas Moran studio. Don't miss out and especially make sure to look for their antiques and design show every mid July.
The beginnings of a wedding set up! Many years of happiness to the happy couple!
