I love Guild Hall. 🩷 Such a great variety of performances in a beautiful space. Most recently, I saw the Met in HD there, and it was wonderful. I also go to Guild Hall for the Hamptons Film Festival, to hear great music, see lovely ballet, etc. I'm grateful for such a fantastic resource in my neighborhood, and highly recommend everyone catch a performance there!

Beach
Main Beach in East Hampton is a renowned and exclusive destination, offering a more private and secluded beach experience compared to other popular spots in Long Island. The pristine shoreline, white sand beaches, and amenities such as lifeguards, restrooms, showers, a beach pavilion, and snack bar make it an ideal choice for visitors seeking relaxation. While the parking fee may be steep for some at $30 per day, the litter-free environment and occasional celebrity sightings make it worth the price.
One of my favorite beaches in Long Island just a heads up on the parking you will need to park at the Local YMCA and get a free shuttle to the beach if you don’t have a membership for the parking.

Wineries & Vineyards
Wölffer Estate Vineyard is a long-standing winery estate that offers a stylish and airy tasting room, available by reservation only. Founded in 1988, this Sagaponack staple exudes an air of relaxed grandeur with its rustic-modern tasting room overlooking lush rows of glistening grapes. Visitors can savor a charcuterie board and a glass of the vineyard's signature Summer in a Bottle rosé while taking in the picturesque surroundings.
Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is incredibly cozy — the perfect mix of nature, vineyards, and great taste. The live music was amazing and set the mood for the whole evening. The wine was excellent — you can tell it’s made with care and passion. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Elijah B — Google review
It was okay! The Vineyard is gorgeous. Grounds beautiful! The food menu could use a bit more variety. Our server seemed rushed & a bit overwhelmed. We made reservations so sat immediately. The venue is extremely clean, even the restroom. For 4 of us our bill was $164, not bad all. Well one person was 9, so they had no alcoholic beverages lol just the entrees. There is plenty of parking. Once seated, we were served. The grounds were lovely. Not one of my favorites. Probably will not return again. But, I do recommend if you’ve never been. Good for groups, couples or even solo.
Amaala M — Google review
It was my first time visiting a winery, and it turned out to be a really great choice. The tasting selection was excellent, and the cheese plate was delicious, but most of all, the friendly staff and clean facilities made the experience perfect. On our way out, we bought several bottles of wine, and since there was a sale, we got them at a great price. I was surprised at how many people there were for a weekday, so I can only imagine how busy it must get on weekends. I’d definitely love to come back again!
Rina ( — Google review
Ive been passing by Wolffer Estate Vineyard thousand times but never went to the tasting room. I had guests from out of town and decided to visit. Wow! I had no idea what I was missing out! It felt like we came to different country! The tasting room that opens up to the view of the vineyard was just gorgeous. It felt magical to share rose and cider with good friends. Fall is more beautiful with less summer crowds. Love the feeling of chilly fall breeze. We ordered flat breads and other finger food, rose and different ciders. They were all delicious! We came back home with bunch of beautiful rose, white wine and ciders. Highly recommend to visit Wolfer when you are passing by Hampton area.
Amy K — Google review
We had an amazing day at Wölffer Estate today. Our tour guide Fairley was entertaining and knowledgeable, she kept us laughing all day 😊 From our private tasting table and snacks under the vines, learning about the different types of trellising, how the grapes are processed, and more tastings in the barrel room, we had an amazing and memorable day. We are looking forward to our future visits. We loved the wine and atmosphere so much, we signed up for the wine club and took a few bottles home.
Alexandra M — Google review
Vince was a great tour guide, knowledgable about everything from the agriculture, history, and wine making process. He handled all our questions with a friendly and passionate attitude and showed us all the parts of the vineyard. The property is quite beautiful. The tasting started with snacks in the dining room and progressed to the wine cellar.
Matthew G — Google review
We had such a wonderful time at the vineyard! We were a large group of friends, and everyone had an amazing time. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful views all around. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel very welcome. The wines were excellent — each one had its own unique flavor and story. It was the perfect place for friends to gather, unwind, and enjoy great company. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We love Wolffer year round for a glass of wine and its beautiful setting. The cheese options are good and since going vegan I've found the Middle Eastern dips a pleasant option.

LongHouse Reserve, located in East Hampton, NY, is a 16-acre garden and sculpture park offering a serene escape from the beach scene. Visitors can explore various gardens including the vibrant Red Garden designed by founder Jack Lenor Larsen. The reserve features permanent and seasonal artworks, Peters Pond with water lilies and lotus plants, as well as outdoor art installations. Guided tours are available for those interested in learning more about the sculptures and gardens.
What a beautiful place.!! It was a rainy day when we went, but it was even better like this. The whole reserve is well maintained and in excellent conditions. I really admire the talent of every artist that created all the beautiful art pieces. Felt so peaceful and great energy walking through every part of it.

I went on a Wednesday and there wasn’t anybody at the door so it was donation only. Since they only had cash and no QR code I wasn’t able to donate. The space itself was absolutely gorgeous! The grounds are meticulously cared for and I enjoyed all the artwork. I’m not sure the rules but it would be a great space for a picnic lunch if they allow it.The best thing is there are tons of benches everywhere so you can just sit and enjoy the moment. I will definitely be back!
World T — Google review
Beautiful outdoor spaces. Beautifully landscaped flower gardens among tall trees. Meandering paths to really nice area to just sit and exhale until the parents come with their loud unruly children....but it's easy enough to find another peaceful spot. This is probably the best place to visit in all of the Hamptons for sure.
S M — Google review
I recently visited LongHouse Reserve and had a wonderful experience. This beautiful park is perfect for a peaceful stroll, taking about an hour and a half to walk through. I recommend arriving early to avoid the crowds, as it gets busier later in the day. The parking area is quite small, so coming early also ensures you find a spot easily. The art installations scattered throughout the park are average, but the botanical elements are truly incredible. The variety of plants and well-maintained gardens create a serene atmosphere that's perfect for nature lovers. Overall, LongHouse Reserve is a lovely destination for a leisurely walk and a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle. Must!
Kristina Z — Google review
Absolutely stunning garden. A lovely place to relax, especially on a nice day when plants are in bloom.
Alexandra T — Google review
I came here on a gorgeous day over Memorial Day weekend with two others. The reserve was not crowded, there was plenty of parking, and was very tranquil. We did a docent tour with an amazing and extremely knowledgeable guide. There are so many obvious and subtle pieces of outdoor through the property so take your time to soak it all in. I highly recommend visiting the LongHouse Reserve as it is a lovely and almost magical experience. I cannot wait to go back.
David H — Google review
Beautifully designed park, located in a quiet location, that will teleport you into a peaceful world. I would highly suggest visiting this place.
Nakul M — Google review
Unique combination of botanical and sculpture gardens. For me botanical and landscaping components of the reserve out-weighed the art part though. Variety of landscapes are packed into the acreage of the site. Visited on early September weekday, found ample parking and relatively few fellow visitors. Thoroughly enjoyed exploring grounds, allocate 1-2 hours to view everything.

Bar
The Stephen Talkhouse is a historic live music club located in an old house from the early 19th century in Amagansett. Despite its unassuming appearance, it has hosted renowned acts including Paul McCartney from the Beatles. This intimate venue offers live music performances by both national and local artists, making it a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike.
Absolutely awesome venue! A great place to hear music and a fab spot to play a show. The on-stage sound was killer; we were able to play at a comfortable volume hear each other clearly, which allows us to enjoy the set and just make some music. Backline is thorough and as advertised (rare these days) and the staff, from sound to FOH are friendly and helpful. There’s a great greenroom upstairs for performers as well.
Damien B — Google review
We came here to see Clay Street Unit in October. I had heard about the venue from another band I had seen perform in my home area so it had been on my list to visit. Tickets for this band were around $22/each. I bought them online prior to coming. We arrived in town around 6:30p, had dinner then headed over. Doors were at 7p. I think we arrived around 7:30-7:45p and there was no line. The opening band started promptly at 8p. There weren’t a lot or people in there for the start of the opening act but the place was packed by the time the show was over at 10p. Clay Street Unit came on around 9ishp. Chairs were around the perimeter of the floor - first come first served but once the floor fills up with people standing your chairs won’t be that useful because it won’t be easy to see with people. We were sitting near the cigarette machine and we had a pretty decent view the whole time. It was great for people watching too. There is a bar. We had a couple drinks. That area was pretty packed midway through the show. We parked across the street with no issues and it was free. This is a great small venue. The sound was good, the bands were high energy and the people were fun. We had a good time and would come back again.

This is the first time I have visited, I think it is a very nice place, it has a recommended live show.
Daniel J — Google review
Saw some band called Metallica here. They were really good live performers. If they ever play here again , I'd definitely recommend checking them out.
George P — Google review
I'm amazed at the positive reviews of this place. It's a total dive. Saw Marc Roberge there. He was great but for $125 a ticket the place was over crowded. It was hard to find a good place to stand to see the show. Several people around me said the same thing. I won't be back.
Carl F — Google review
Was here a while ago and saw the Wailers, reasonable prices for drinks and great live music for the price. Review might be bit out of date though so take heed.

Specialty Museums
The Home Sweet Home Museum in East Hampton is a beloved landmark that offers a fascinating look into the area's rich heritage and history. Housed in an early 18th-century salt-box home, the museum features well-preserved architecture, quaint rooms, and furnishings that provide insight into the daily lives of early settlers. The rustic ambiance with bare ornamentation and unpainted walls adds to its charm. Additionally, the picturesque windmill standing behind the museum creates a romantic atmosphere.
Excellent visit. The tour was great. The house has preserved many items. It was fascinating to see 18th-century dishes and the home's decor. The female guide was very pleasant and told us about many other places to visit in the city. Highly recommend this museum to everyone.
Iryna S — Google review
Beautiful location next to the windmill. The guide was very pleasant and well-informed. The old house is well cared for, and has some great older clocks and porcelain on display. Easy parking - at least during the “off-season”. Recommended.

Absolutely amazing place. Took wedding photos inside.
Yvonne U — Google review
Fabulous! We literally were on our way walking after getting our coffees to Main Beach and admired the building, garden and windmill... and then daughter saw how it was open and so we stopped in. The Docent was fabulous! Greeted us immediately and took us on the tour of the house and the belongings and furnishings and explained really well the history behind Payne and Buerk... well done! Glad that we stopped in and got to view a historical home!
Amy W — Google review
Very beautiful garden and cute house that has been turned into a museum. All rooms with the many collectibles can be visited. A very nice guide told us a little about the story of the house.

I went to visit it a month ago but it was closed. Still from the outside looks beautiful
Paola B — Google review
Well, I never got to see the inside of this museum because there was nobody to be found inside when I visited (maybe they were on a bathroom break--very strange), but the outside of the building, the windmill behind it and the church next-door all make for some nice photographs, so you should stop by while you are out here (the beach will wait).

Restaurant
Nick & Toni's is a long-standing restaurant in the Hamptons, offering Italian-Mediterranean cuisine in a stylish farmhouse setting. It has been a fixture in the area for over three decades and is known for its use of local produce and fish, as well as its wood-fired dishes. The restaurant creates an intimate and romantic atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for special occasions like Valentine's Day.
Visited for the $32 Two-Course Pizza & Pasta Prix Fixe. Excellent food. Excellent service (I suspect thanks to being off season). The wait staff coming to tell me the pasta special was SEVEN agnolotti not the SIX he had sold me, was a little over the top, but attention to detail is important
Barney S — Google review
We were a group of three and had a great experience. We started with three appetizers: zucchini, artichokes and a salad. The first two were incredible. Then we shared a pizza and the rigatoni. Pizza was normal but the rigatoni…out of this world! Highly recommended. To end we had two desserts, the lemon tart and the ice cream. Finally, we also had an incredible wine, Lion Tamer, that’s a mix of Malbec and Cabernet.
Juan C — Google review
I have eaten here a few times before but my most recent visit was extra special - it was the first night of my bachelorette trip and my 4 friends and I had the best experience! The food was delicious, drinks were great and our server Moises (and the rest of the staff) were 10/10. Nick and Toni’s is a must-visit for me whenever I am in the Hamptons
Bianca H — Google review
This restaurant is a solid choice for the Hamptons, where dining options are limited. The service is excellent, the food quality is good, and the ambiance is cozy. The zucchini fries are a must-try.
Fabiola F — Google review
I've been going to Nick & Toni's since the early 1990's. I was sort of a regular on Friday nights in the 2000's sitting at the bar for dinner & drinks with friends. When my parents would come to visit, we would always go to N&T's either sitting outside or in their main dining room. I remember Bonnie so well. She treated us ever so kindly! The pandemic happened and I never went back until this past Friday night. OMG. After all these years, its BETTER THAN EVER!!! We sat at the countertop (thats what we wanted) and the service couldnt have been any better. Superior to most highly rated restaurants in Manhattan. Food was incredible too!!! The beat salad and Trumpet Mushrooms....YUMMY. Of course the Zucchini Fritti was as good as always. Actually, it was much, much better this time around. The front desk (manager and host) were incredible too. Personable and easy to talk to. Great people watching too. And atmosphere great. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. Congrats after all the years!
Danny C — Google review
A quite lively environment! My experience was ruined by the location of my table. My chair/back was up against the hostess stand, and I was either having to get up to let the staff pass or keep getting bumped against the table as they squeezed pass. The lamb was excellent…the cocktails were great…the desserts—not so much
Latisha D — Google review
It sounds expensive, looks exclusive and maybe "oh so fancy" but it's not. Instead it's a warm, inviting atmosphere with a friendly, unpretentious staff. I went in jeans and didn't feel out of place. Give this landmark a try just once, and you'll be a loyal regular too. PS: the background music is wonderful too!

East Hampton Main Beach is a popular ocean beach with lifeguards, a snack bar, and bathrooms. It's known for its long stretches of white sands and calm waters, making it an excellent spot for families to enjoy activities like building sandcastles and having picnics. The beach also offers opportunities for sun worshippers to relax while taking in the beautiful scenery. Additionally, Main Beach provides various activities such as swimming, sunbathing, beach volleyball, and surf lessons.
This place is pure happiness. Make sure to pay for parking as they do ticket the vehicles. This beach does tend to get busy on the weekends. You can have a fire at night here as long as it’s in a metal fireplace. Great sand as well!
Taylor R — Google review
This beach is so clean and peaceful. It is in a quiet area and feels like an oasis away from the madness in NYC Side note, if you’re someone who likes a classic beach day be prepared to see the locals stare if you are in anything but a linen button down and khakis. I have never seen a beach where people don’t wear swimsuits but here we are! All in all a beautiful spot and would definitely visit again.
Deanna — Google review
It was a lovely beach. The day was sunny and bright. the ocean breeze was cool. The restaurant was as you entered the beach area, and the bathrooms were clean. It's a nice beach for riding the waves and tanning. The water temp was a tad cold.

Very nice Beach. You need to pay for parking by scanning a QR code in your phone. There are a few bikes that you can rent also by using an app to unlock them. There are several benches and bins between the parking lot and the beach itself. When I was there, there was a sign saying there’s no lifeguard.

Main Beach in East Hampton is a beautiful stretch of coastline that perfectly captures the charm of Long Island’s East End. Known for its clean, soft sand and gentle waves, it’s an ideal spot for a relaxing day by the ocean. The beach is well-maintained and has lifeguards on duty, making it a safe and family-friendly destination. What sets Main Beach apart is its peaceful, upscale atmosphere—there are no overwhelming crowds or noisy distractions, just the sound of the surf and sweeping views of the Atlantic. Sunrises and sunsets here are especially stunning, with the sky painted in vivid colors over the water. While parking can be challenging without a local permit, the experience is well worth it. Main Beach combines natural beauty with a sense of tranquility, making it one of the most enjoyable and iconic beaches in the Hamptons.

The parking is a nightmare. We stopped to grab a quick bite to eat and check out the scene. We went to park in the lot and it uses park mobile. I thought the app was broken because it was telling me I had to park for 11 hours. I was only going to be there for around 30 minutes. No where did it say flat rate parking or anything of that nature. I thought to myself no way they actually expect you to pay $50 for a quick stop this would be the most expensiveparking I have ever seen in my 36 years on earth. Anyway I got back to my car after a quick bite and surely I got a ticket. One would think a parking ticket of that nature might be $75-$100 as gross actions like parking in handicap spaces warrant $250 dollar tickets. Nope it was a $250 dollar ticket. I nicely asked the officer who was giving out the tickets how can you expect someone parking 15 minutes to pay the same as someone parking 11 hours. He couldn't even answer the question but explained it was flat rate parking. Honestly this should be illegal. Its not even like they lost any money because as soon as I left my spot someone else parked in it. Its just straight up greed and not right. This review is just to warn people trying to go here as I have no choice but to pay this outrageous ticket where the punishment doesnt fit the crime.
Mike M — Google review
Great public beach, clean restrooms and some food options. We had plenty of room to relax and it was a great atmosphere. If you want food, make sure you have CASH. We got there later in the day so the parking lot was closed, but were able to park at the Lumber Lane lot in the village and take a free Circuit ride to the beach. Ended up taking a car back to our car since the Circuit line was a bit long at the end of the day.

The rental pick up and drop off process was efficient and easy. The bike ran like a charm. I definitely will be a repeat customer in the future and highly recommend this shop to others!

Absolutely wouldn't hesitate to rent bikes from here again. They test the bikes that have come back from rental to make sure they are running fine before they go out again. Plus I ended up purchasing a bike which I just love. Barbara was super friendly and helpful with everything. The staff just have a lovely attitude which makes all the difference these days.

Carissa's the Bakery in Amagansett is a light-filled locale offering freshly baked breads, pastries, and a full menu of breakfast and lunch bites. The staff even grows the grains for their homemade bread, making it a perfect spot to pick up sandwiches for a beach day. They are known for their signature pickled rye bread and top-shelf sandwiches served on thick slabs of sourdough with unique fillings like pickled Fresnos and braised greens.
✨Breakfast heaven alert ✨ I had the most amazing breakfast experience at this place! Everything was so beautiful, it felt like I had walked into a Pinterest board 🖼️. The decor? Stunning. The food? As pretty as a Vogue spread and just as delicious. I almost cried. If I lived next door, I’d probably be here every single morning pretending I’m living my best life (and I’d totally be broke $$$$!, but with good lighting and great eggs). Pro tip: wear your cutest outfit, this place deserves a full photoshoot. Also, bring the whole crew! The menu has something for everyone. I only missed some fruit on the side 🫠 (toddler problems lol you know) because the fruit was hiding deep inside the yogurt — which was still delicious, by the way. Will I be back? Yes. Weekly? I wish. Daily? If I win the lottery and move in next door. 😁🏡🙌 10/10 highly recommend. 📸🥐🌿🧃 Thank you, guys!!!

Carissa has good food and some truly delicious pastries, but unfortunately the service is extremely disappointing. There’s a woman who seems to be either the manager or the owner, and her attitude comes across as unfriendly and unwelcoming. A lot of people had warned me about the service here, but I still wanted to give it a chance. Sadly, I had the same experience, and I won’t be coming back. It’s a shame because the place has so much potential to be a warm, inviting spot, but the lack of hospitality really takes away from it. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend it.
Fabiola F — Google review
I love Carissa's bread and the outdoor garden at this location is lovely for a brunch time gathering. Glad there are a few vegan options but would love to see some vegan pastries and the otherwise vegan sandwiches to be made with a different bread than milk bread (they won't substitute which is frustrating). That being said the grain bowl was delicious and the avocado toast without cheese is always very tasty. Good coffee and plant-milk options too!
Lynette K — Google review
The pistachio latte was absolutely delicious, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. Despite being kind and leaving a tip, we were met with cold and unwelcoming service—no smiles, no thank yous. It’s hard to want to return when the atmosphere feels so unfriendly

Great food. The pastries are the best part personally. Drinks and sandwiches are also really good. They have different things every day but normally stick to a schedule and repeat products. It can get really busy, so the workers are trying to keep the line moving. I recommend not standing in line if you have no idea what you want, you're just slowing the line down and making the workers frustrated. Nice patio for seating with a lot of shade. Great prices for great quality. I recommend coming to this Carissa's instead of the one in East Hampton, because everything is baked here.

Amazing bakery and desserts. Staff are friendly and chill. Love this place. They messed up our order but made it up to us. Highly recommend!

Omg everything is so good! I had 2 sandwiches, and pistachio croissants 🥐. All of them r so good. Especially the bread is crunchy outside and soft inside. I also bought plain croissants and tried the day after I bought. It is one of the best 🥐 in my life. I hope they have location in queens or Manhattan so that I can try more often 😆
Tam S — Google review
It's unfortunate that there is such a beautiful patio, but if you're having dessert and coffee you can't use it, only allowed on the communal table inside - even though the tables outside were almost empty. Felt like second class citizens. The carrot cake was amazing, the almond croissant and the chocolate cookie overcooked and crunchy. Atmosphere great, service OK, food hit or miss. Could be a 5/5, needs small adjustments.

The Pollock-Krasner House, built in 1879, was the residence and workplace of renowned painters Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner. Visitors can take a guided tour of the house and study center to see Jackson Pollock's original paint-splattered floor. Additionally, art enthusiasts can explore the Light|Waves mixed-media installation at the nearby Parrish Art Museum or attend various events at Guild Hall.
Read bio on Krasner and had to make a pilgrimage. Interesting tour and beautiful location. Gave me chills to see remnants of Pollock drips and being in studio where Krasner painted. Even had their own outhouse .

Amazing just to be there. You can feel the energy in the studio. Much of the buildings and grounds have not been changed.

For the abstract impressionist artist this is Mecca. We came here last year and did drip painting at a family drip painting day event. We brought the canvases back and worked on them some more. This weekend was Jackson Pollock 2nd Annual Pilgrimage ... with more to come. Joyce who leads the drip painting sessions is great with the kids. The opportunity be inside his studio and to walk on the floor - on the paint (with booties on) is a spiritual experience. We do both the family drip painting at 10:00 and then the adult lecture tour at 12:00. The second tour adds a lot more information. Having followed Pollock since High School for over 50 years, visiting the Pollock-Kranser home is a personal experience that that transcends way beyond just a nice historic stop. If you are not a fan of Pollock or Krasner - you will learn something. Just sitting on the rocks in the backyard and looking over the view beyond views. will touch your soul. Staff is great, nice book store. This is an important place in American Art History.

I visited from the UK in the summer and it was very easy to find details about visiting hours online. I booked tickets in advance and when I realised that I would miss the last train back to NYC, Roberta kindly moved me to an earlier tour the same day. The studio and house tour did not disappoint and it was good to see a focus on both Lee and Jackson’s work. Helen was very knowledgable and I enjoyed talking to her about Jackson’s record collection. Special thanks to David for taking time to point out some of the colours on the studio floor from key Pollock pieces. I will definitely return for a follow up visit in the future.

This place is such a gem! Highly recommend a visit to any art enthusiast, history buff, or to someone who seeks unique “museums”. The whole place has a peaceful energy, and the staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable.

The Pollock-Kramer House is a must see if you are visiting the Hamptons. Walking through the home and studio of two great artists is a powerful and intimate experience. The floors still bear the drips and splatters from Pollock’s iconic “action painting” years. Inside the house, many of their personal belongings — their record player, library, furniture — are preserved much as Lee Krasner left them. After the tour, watch the 2000 documentary/drama, Pollock!
Deborah G — Google review
Much like the home studio of N.C. and Andrew Wyeth in Chadds Ford, PA, Jackson Pollock's is only open to visitors on rare occasions. So glad I was able to get permission to take a few exterior shots to see where he created his abstract expressionist paintings in a wood-framed barn and white shed. In 1945, Jackson Pollock and his wife Lee Krasner moved to what is now known as the Pollock-Krasner House and Studio in Springs on Long Island, NY. It's not hard to see why he was drawn to the area and this bohemian community. Bohemian culture always fascinated my Danish grandfather and father, and now me. A major figure in the abstract expressionist movement, Pollock was widely noticed for his "drip technique" of pouring or splashing liquid household paint onto a horizontal surface, enabling him to view and paint his canvases from all angles. It was called all-over painting and action painting, since he covered the entire canvas and used the force of his whole body to paint, often in a frenetic dancing style. This extreme form of abstraction divided the critics: some praised the immediacy of the creation, while others derided the random effects. A reclusive and volatile personality, Pollock struggled with alcoholism for most of his life. In 1945, he married fellow artist Lee Krasner, who became an important influence on his career and his legacy much like Jamie Wyeth was on Andrew Wyeth. Pollock died in a single-car crash in his Oldsmobile convertible while driving under the influence of alcohol. At the time, Krasner was visiting friends in Europe; she abruptly returned on hearing the news from a friend. One of the passengers, Edith Metzger, was also killed in the accident, which occurred less than a mile from Pollock's home. The other passenger, Ruth Kligman, survived. In December 1956, four months after his death, Pollock was given a memorial retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City. A larger, more comprehensive exhibition of his work was held there in 1967. In 1998 and 1999, his work was honored with large-scale retrospective exhibitions at MoMA and at the Tate in London. In 2016, Pollock's painting titled Number 17A was reported to have fetched $200 million in a private purchase. (excerpts from Wikipedia)

We made the trip from Philadelphia to Long Island to see this place, and it was magical. The home and studio have essentially remained unchanged since Pollock and Krasner resided there. Just being able to stand inside their studio on a floor covered in Pollock's drips surrounded by walls covered in Krasner's bright splatters was worth the price and the trip. The site is beautifully kept with loads of information available in a museum style format. The tour guides are fun and informative and the shop had a great selection of books and catalogs. I would highly recommend this place for any level art enthusiast. Thank you for making this available to the public!

The coffee is good but the customer service is absolutely horrid. I tried , and I wasn’t the only one, and the workers just would look at you deadpan and not even try to be polite or sweet. Or smile. Never been more clear that that the workers at this place are miserable. Whoever handles employee management either needs to raise the pay so that the workers are less miserable, or tell teach them proper customer service. If you’re wondering why Jacks is not as big as Hampton Coffee out here, this is a main driver.
Megan H — Google review
This used to be one of my favorite coffee shops on the East Coast. Two years ago, I discovered how good the hot chocolate was at Jacks. I am lactose intolerant, so I struggle to find coffee shops that offer vegan hot chocolate. I visit The Hamptons once a year and I was so excited to stop by Jacks again! However, I was disappointed to find out that they changed their recipe, and it now includes dairy in the mixture. You can tell that it tastes like a powdered hot chocolate rather than a chocolate syrup. I wish they would bring back the old recipe.
Ariana B — Google review
Two words: Delicious. Coffee. Their coffee is 100% organic and you can tell. As their sign says, they only pull triple ristretto shots in their espresso drinks and it shows - rich and smooth with minimal acidity. The iced Stella was particularly refreshing with the summer heat. I’d say this is more of a grab and go coffee joint, as there is minimal seating. If you’re looking for a place to sit and chat, you’ll likely want to go elsewhere.

Jack’s has great coffee and breakfast. Their cold brew coffee was some of the best I’ve had. The homemade biscuits are great and make for an awesome breakfast sandwich. The donuts were good too. There were lots of vegan friendly options and unique “local” coffee drinks. Things were a bit pricey, but it was worth it.

This summer, the renowned Eleven Madison Park has set up a delightful pop-up in East Hampton, bringing its culinary magic to sunnier shores while the main restaurant undergoes renovations. Known for its exceptional seafood dishes like poached lobster and ginger-infused striped bass, this casual spot offers an a la carte menu primarily accessible to American Express cardholders in the main dining area. However, if you don’t have that card handy, fear not!
Fantastic meal at EMP Summer House for my sister-in-law’s birthday. Great flatbread pizzas (loved the corn with Parmesan and Black Truffle), amazing fluke and a really rich and delicious bouillabaisse. Thanks for the really great service.
Thomas M — Google review
This is overall an amazing experience! The service is phenomenal and you won't regret trying it at least once. That said, the food is interesting, fun to try, but not sure if I'd go back for seconds. The atmosphere/ambience is not my favorite, I'm not a huge fan of the very high ceilings, the whole place feels a little corporatey to me (for lack of a better word).
Ammar M — Google review
Top notch NYC food served casually in an exclusive East Hampton home. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Get in if you can. Open an American Express card if that’s the case. Daniel Humm’s 2nd annual pop-up restaurant in the Hampton’s strikes back. Come here to find his elevated cuisine served in a more casual setting. Get classic summer dishes like striped bass (pictured) that probably was not caught too far away, or the Bouillabaisse (also pictured) that will gave you asking for more wood oven roasted flatbread to soak up the sauce. There are three (ish) settings of service at the summer house. Find the families with kids running around the backyard sitting around picnic tables enjoying cocktails and snacks. Come inside to the terrace where you can have a casual dinner experience but still feel like you’re sitting in the garden. Come further inside and you’re situated in the main dining room for dinner service. The setting is “casual” but most men are wearing pants and shoes (less casual then your typical summer wear). The invite is through American Express. You must have an American Express card to dine and pay here. Regardless, if you’re in the area for a vacation or close enough to make the drive, I recommend reserving your spot to have your taste at Humm’s cuisine, deconstructed for a more casual outpost, where you want feel embarrassed to take his bread and sop up the bouillabaisse sauce. The details have not yet been ironed out, but for the first time, a winter house will be in store for Aspen, CO. I will see you there.

Amazing food and atmosphere - if you have an Amex make the reservation but also even if you don't make a reservation GO! Amazing outdoor seating area with the same amazing service and food!!
Lindsey L — Google review
This 'casual' outpost of Eleven Madison Park delivers on delicious ingredients and tasteful summer fare, but expect far more casual service than EMP is known for. Bar service is relatively slow and inflexible, and while table service was polite, our server was not knowledgeable about the menu and forgetful/slow about our orders (we waited 25 minutes for a bottle of sancerre, for example). Obviously the restaurant has only just opened for the summer, so I understand growing pains; but perhaps my expectations were mismanaged based on all the media hype. Knowing that EMP brought their award winning staff out to East Hampton for the summer, the experience was disappointing and the focus of our discussion, despite the quality of food.
Clayton M — Google review
So excited to have this addition to the Hamptons. The staff was amazing - all imported from the location in the city. Turns out they are all living in the area this summer. We couldn't get a reservation online but decided to walk in - 30 minutes later after a drink in the outside bar we were seated in the dining room. Had delicious cocktails and - tempura lobster, snow pea salad with pancetta and clam linguine. All outstanding and up to Manhattan standards. Highly recommend for a fun night out with attentive service (a rarity out here)!

We had a great stay....walked to restaurants and downtown. Kenny, the manager there was so gracious and welcoming in helping me with our reservation after I messed up online. Kelly and Dawn were such friendly hosts and so accommodating. The whole staff made us feel welcome and pampered. The chef prepared exquisite breakfasts, which we are still talking about. We stayed at the Inn for our anniversary last weekend. We are devotees of bed and breakfast hotels and loved this one. We arrived to find a huge, and I mean, huge, bouquet of the most beautiful white roses waiting for us in the suite that they upgraded us to. Totally unexpected. These folks could not do enough for us. Breakfast was extremely nice, cooked to order with quality ingredients. Bed was extremely warm and comfortable. The management, the staff, can't say anything negative about the inn at all. It was a very nice stay and we would absolutely do that again.

We loved our stay at the The Mill House Inn, and are already planning our next trip. It was my spouses first time out east and I wanted to find a place that was welcoming, had the spirit of the Hamptons, and was well located so we could visit different villages. What I failed to realize when I booked was that we could also just park the car at the Inn and not move it as there was so much to see and do in East Hampton. Genius. Dawn welcomed us and made us feel right at home and it was as if we had our own country house. We loved the breakfast, the friendly staff, and the fact that the other guests seemed to be regulars really spoke to us. We are quite and love to meditate, and walk in nature, so this was heaven to us. Under Dawn's guidance we went to the local beach and surprise, saw a seal giving birth to a pup, had an amazing meal or two thanks to her suggestions and picked up food at Citarella right down the street. We had a lovely time at The Mill House Inn and our two day stay was as relaxing as a week long vacation.

She assisted in recommending restaurants and local attractions that we may want to see while we wete there. It was such and enjoyable and relaxing time and we are already thinking about our next trip there. Would highly recommend the Mill House Inn.

This was our initial experience at the Mill House Inn located in East Hampton. We visited for the Hampton Classic, and the location proved to be extremely convenient. Our accommodation was situated on the third floor, which was ideal, featuring a king-sized bed, a television, and a bathroom equipped with a spacious soaking tub. Each morning, we enjoyed a complimentary breakfast that included eggs, yogurt, fruit, pancakes, coffee, tea, and more. This meal was available in a cozy dining area or could be served in our room. Additionally, there is a small snack area accessible throughout the day. The Inn itself exudes the charm of a bygone era and is well-maintained. The staff consistently demonstrated friendliness and attentiveness. The Inn is conveniently positioned within walking distance to downtown and other attractions. Overall, it was a delightful stay.

We stayed for three nights at the Mill House Inn and it was an incredible vacation! The room was perfect for a romantic getaway. Room 7 has an amazing bathroom that makes you feel as if you’re in your own personal spa. Breakfast was also delicious and very generously portioned. We had incredible lobster rolls as well as more traditional breakfast fare. Great coffee and side dishes delivered right to your door! Dawn took care of our every need and provided excellent recommendations for where to eat and what to do in the Hamptons. She called ahead and made sure we would be taken care of at our restaurants of choice, too! The snack bar is a very nice amenity and the Inn’s overall vibe was extremely cozy and welcoming. We even spent some time in their back garden around the koi pond despite the cold weather. The location is very convenient; you can walk almost anywhere you might need to go, even to the beach! It was the perfect escape from the city. Thanks, Mill House! We’ll be back :)

The Hook Windmill, also known as the Old Hook Mill, is a historic site in East Hampton with a rich history dating back to 1806. Although it ceased operations in 1908, the allure of this place extends beyond its historical significance. The surrounding area boasts stunning natural beauty that enchants visitors. While access inside the windmill may be limited, its original machinery and captivating stories make it an intriguing destination for history enthusiasts and curious travelers alike.

(Translated by Google) Dear windmill. You can buy tickets and go inside, the windmill only opens a few times a year. It's a beautiful place even if you don't go inside. Legend has it that if you look out the window at the right angle you will see a girl at the top of the window. I've never seen anything, I keep coming back to take pictures and check it out anyway. Great urban legend. Gran leyenda urbana.

I am not sure what kind of room freshener they use in this place but it’s way too much and it’s definitely an unhealthy synthetic compound. It was so strong that I could only stand staying in the store for 5min. The smell and resulting nausea stayed with me for 30minutes after leaving the place. I will never set foot there again.

Very disappointing. I’m tall, and the bike handle bars don’t adjust high enough to make it a comfortable experience for me. Fine to waste money on one class, but I signed up for a second which I’ll never use. I wrote back to the manager (replying to an auto email they sent asking for feedback). Such a beautiful quaint park- would recommend staying here albeit please be informed on the below before you make the trek out here: 1. Some of the staff is very kind but it seems that they have newly enforced rules that not all members are up to date on and there was one woman at the front desk that took this all very seriously and was quite intense - we received conflicting information depending on who we asked but on the way out a nice man at the front helped clarify all these check in guidelines to us. 2. Checking in with a car requires documents that are very strictly enforced…green key, car registration, license and proof of annual inspection. The reservation holder absolutely needs to have all hard copies of these items up to date and present for their car/any other car on the reservation or else you will be asked to leave the premises immediately (which unfortunately happened to the second party in our group). 3. If you have 2 cars staying on your site (which we did) be sure to have photos of all the above documents for the second vehicle with the reservation holder when you check in (photo proof we confirmed was fine for the second car at the original check in as long as they were not the reservation holder) - they will not allow the second car to check in at a later time if you do not show all their documents at original check in. This is very strictly enforced. Again, this park is beautiful!! We plan to stay here more often and over-all the staff was wonderful. While the ‘rules’ are strictly enforced and rigid- there was confusion amongst the various staff members and a little hostility from one in particular due to the confusion. I would just make sure you read all the rules and regulations/come prepared.

Nice wooded county Park. Sites only have water no electric or sewer. They do have new dump stations for 3 campers at a time on the main road. Sites are not very level and there isn't much cell service but still a decent place to camp
Chris H — Google review
“Repulsive and Horrifying”, “Hell on earth”, “Human rights violation.” These are terms I would NOT use to describe the men’s public restrooms at Cedar Point campgrounds. There’s no shortage of wonderful things I could say about Cedar Point, but THIS REVIEW WILL FOCUS ON THE MEN’S BATHROOMS, as they were unequivocally the highlight of our trip! -An impressive legacy: There’s an info plaque explaining that the Cedar Point men’s bathrooms were actually designed by the same guy who designed the award winning Marriott Bonvoy bathrooms. And it shows! Don’t let the humble exterior fool you-once inside, you find yourself in a sparkling palace of grandeur - the PINNACLE of luxury! - Smart Showers: To shower, simply fashion a complex system of levers, pulleys and wheels to activate the water sensor. The showers are conveniently bluetooth enabled and accept Bitcoin! - Welcome to the ELECTRO-DOME: There are charging outlets on all the walls. None of them work at all but it adds sort of a fun “cyberpunk” decorative element! - Customer service: They have a 24/7 concierge at the sink who will give you a complimentary spritz of cologne, a mint, and a steaming hot-oil wrist and ankle massage. He doesn’t take no for an answer! He lives in a hollowed out space behind the sinks i think. -A flourishing ecosystem: If you’re like me and totally geek out learning about the local wildlife, you’ll appreciate the abundance of new and freakish insect species that will crawl up your legs while you piss. There are LEGIONS more insects INSIDE the men’s bathrooms than there are OUTSIDE in the woods, which for many, is a perk! According to the gals in our group, their restrooms are nothing like the men’s!? they said it was “very gross” and “pretty much what you’d expect for a campsite public restroom”. I really felt bad for them, so I am docking (1) star. We will be returning!
Sam G — Google review
I’ve been staying out here all summer and I love it!!! Showers are clean, there is a pizza spot. And apparently they do a brunch also at the park store. Might be a separate entity but still nice to have! The beach isn’t too bad, but be careful of the currents.
Bri M — Google review
We saw so many bad reviews that we were hesitant to book here, but it’s such a great deal for the Hamptons that we took a chance and I’m so glad we did. The glamping tent was lovely - comfortable bed and they provided towels and shampoo & conditioner which was a nice bonus. The tent was right on the water and we got a beautiful sunset. There is beach access in several locations very close to the tents (ours was just feet away) and you can walk along the water and swim. It was very peaceful. A perfect way to end the weekend for us. We also enjoyed pizza at their restaurant. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back.
Stephanie R — Google review
Come time for check out, I had to give myself an extra day. I've travelled and camped in around 26 states and this location is one of my favorites. Friendly staff, quiet & peaceful environment, incredible views, swimming, hiking, a well stocked bar and delicious pizza menu... there's a lot to look forward to if you're planning to visit. Doug B. was a top notch host and went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable and enjoying our stay the entire time. I stayed in the "glamp" tents over looking the bluff and it was perfect! The amenities are basic, but its all you need to enjoy the stay at Cedar Point County Park. I knew immediately that I will be returning here for the rest of my life.
Anthony M — Google review
Campsite with small lots and no privacy. Neighbors were very loud playing music and talking loudly until 3 AM. Incredibly, no enforcement. No fire rings provided. If you’re used to camping upstate, this is different and worse. More regulations and rules than the state run campsites, more expensive, and yet they can’t enforce basic quality of life issues like noise properly?

Very unique opportunity to see a structure of this age on Long Island. So interesting as the home dates from the 1700s and is pretty much in the original state. Originally from 1680 but they are not sure how much of that structure remains. East Hampton has an active historical organization so you can benefit from their knowledge. They researched local records from all sources. Arrange visit early to get the tour. East Hampton a lovely visit.

Mix and match your historicals, farm with windmill, church with services, memorial arbor dating to the 17th century and the Home Sweet Home museum. 700yds further on James lane is a rebuilt saltbox house and in front of the original town graveyard that Lion Gardiner calls home is the Gardiner Windmill. Two Historical Markers (landmarked) are across from each other in the graveyard and across the road. Back down towards town just past the Mulford farm is another landmarked marker for the First Town Church. A must stop if you're touring the Windmills of East Hampton, not far away (1500yds as the crow flies) but on private property is the one built into a house (Robert Downey Jr. owns it). The graveyard, village geen and village pond are all NRHP landmarked. Mill is in back of the Payne Home Sweet Home museum at #14 James lane, it is the Pantigo Windmill, in 1917 Gustav Buek purchased and moved it to the backyard of HSH from Pantigo rd & Egypt ln, where it had been for 72 years.

Historic community center located in Springs. It would appear that the parking area in front needs some grading maintenance as it is quite steep, and if you pull in - if the vehicle that you have is a little bit lower - it can scrape along the bottom of that graded gravel. There is additional level paved parking, to include handicapped accessible, to the other side. While there is a ramp for handicapped individuals, that also needs some grading and the ramp to go into the building definitely could use a little touch up to make it easier for those trying to transit the ramp. Inside the building itself is a gem and always fun to go to events held there. Hopefully their fundraising goals will allow them to keep maintaining the yard and parking areas up to date.

Artisan Holiday Market was a wonderful experience. Met great local artists. Sammy's Light Show on Wheels came with Santa 🎅 for the kids to whisper their wishes into his ear. Customers of all ages were greeted with Holiday Cheer, Artisans encouraged and supported one another. Met this incredible Wood worker Eugene from Wood Stump Works—The Outside Inside. His work is so incredible upcycling wood 🪵 pieces into master pieces. Another multidimensional artisan who stood out was an upcoming artisan Mirifique, show casing hand crafted Holiday Home Decor with all the Glam, "putting on the Ritz" so to speak. Elegance, Glamor and her cheerfulness pointed out by customers and other Artisans was a delight to brighten up any grinch and scrooge. I overheard another Artisan say to her:"Keep on spreading your love and light, this world needs more of that". Another customer said to the Designer Mirifique, "The love, passion, your vision is impeccable, keep at it. It just shows in your designs." The venue was a little bit remote to be a greater success for the vendors, not enough traffic in off season.

Justine, the owner, who is so knowledgeable and helpful, has an incredible eye for art as well as a tremendous heart for the artists on display. J. Mackey Gallery is truly a treasure in East Hampton and a must see when there.

Fresh, exciting art. Justine is a real visionary, an amplifier of artists, a connector, and a bold presence in the often predictable world of art. Real human energy doing the good work in gallery form.

Not only are the pieces stunning, the owner Justine has a tremendous amount of knowledge and care for the artists on display. If you are in the market for art from an emerging artist with a link to East Hampton or to simply enjoy beautiful work - check out J. Mackey
