One off my bucket list, I drove the Natchez Trace back in October. What a wonderful trip it was, the slower speed limit made it so relaxing and enjoyable, at times I didn't see another car for 30 minutes, and no commercial vehicles are allowed at all. So many historic stops along the way, make sure you get a route map from the Ranger Station it's full of history info and distances, real handy.
A very nice visitor center and museum that covers the entire history of the Natchez Trace Parkway. The drive down the parkway is very picturesque and has numerous scenic pull offs to take pictures. Saw numerous motorcyclist enjoying the nice winding slow drive down the parkway.
If you've never taken Natchez Trace Parkway you are definitely missing out on an adventure. You know me, I'm always up for one. I was on a road trip to Fulton Mississippi with a friend. We took Natchez Trace. There was a slight downfall. IT was dark and on HALLOWEEN. HOLY CRAP. They have campgrounds where you can camp free for up to 14 days. We were tired and wanted to rest. This place is cool in the dark. They have plenty of bathroom facilities, of course, it's a the tourist attraction. Lots of history here. I saw an old graveyard. It was dark, and Halloween so NO, we didn't stop there. We got our camp site. We never exited the truck. 🤣🤣🤣It was so dark you couldn't see around you. We followed the beautiful moon all the way thru. The Trace is a historical site for ancient Natives. Hiking trails, Roadside stops with views, swimming, hiking... Lots of creek water but I'm not sure your allowed in the creek. I definitely know YOUR NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE ANY ROCK OUT OF THIS PLACE. You're being filmed, and will be arrested. You can look at the artifacts, but I wouldn't touch em if I were you. It's a beautiful place to go. It's best to go in the daylight. Night time is scary.
Fantastic drive, (444 miles from end to end) and informative, friendly visitors center. Absolutely take the time to watch the 15-minute film that explains what the Natchez Trace actually is. Many stops along the way with historical and scenic significance. One of America's true hidden gems.
Closed due to government shutdown. We were there with three bikers to ride the 440+ miles of the Trace but had no access to any of the Visitor Centers. Exterior bathrooms were open and reasonably clean. Thanks for that! FYI, if you are deciding which direction to ride the Trace, definitely start at the north (near Nashville) end and travel south toward Natchez unless you are a very strong rider. The hundred miles, give or take, on the north end, are killer if you chose poorly like we did and started in Natchez. They call it 'hilly'. 😐 Clever. Unsolicited opinion - Also, plan on staying in better hotels while in Mississippi. We found that the budget priced ones ($85-100/night) can be really dirty. When I told the desk clerk that our room was dirty, she said to me, and I quote, "ALL of our rooms are dirty. There is only one person here, other than me." 😑🤢 I had to pass on that one and go to higher end places to find a clean room.
Very informative and interesting visitors center highlighting the different time periods throughout history and how the trace was used by each group. They also have an interesting 15 minute video talking about how the Trace was preserved. The on-staff rangers were quite helpful. There is also a small gift shop with a good selection of items. Worth a stop, especially since there is a gas station right down the road.
A great starting point to explore the Natchez Trace Parkway. The visitor center is well maintained, and the staff is friendly and eager to share the park’s history and routes. The exhibits are informative, covering nature, culture, and the historical significance of the Trace. Perfect place to get oriented before your trip or enjoy a peaceful stop.
The Natchez Trace Parkway Visitor Center is a wonderful resource for anyone interested in the history of the roadway. The park rangers are friendly, super knowledgeable and go out of their way to be helpful. Inside is tons of information and displays and even a nice gift shop.

We were pleasantly surprised that there was so much to do. It was great seeing his original home and we got to go to his childhood church for a service. I really liked the museum and we bought some things in the store. They have a 20 minute video in a little theater that is really cool too. The grounds are beautiful. I think some of the staff needs to smile more lol. We spent about 3 hours there. So glad we went!!
This is an homage to Elvis and gives his fans an insight to what his early life as a child was like. The museum and grounds are well done and very well maintained. Its a very serene and peaceful experience. The visitor center is well stocked with Elvis memorabilia and has just about anything you can think of related to his career for a souvenir. It'll take you about two hours to tour the ground and museum. The museum is located close to downtown Tupelo and if you're food you will enjoy your time here.
Although we arent Elvis fans, we stopped here on our way through the area. We had seen the great reviews and decided to give it a shot. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and it's obvious they work hard to keep them that way. Seeing the old buildings was nice, but the fee to go in seemed excessive. It's $12 for one attraction or $2 for all three. The 4 star rating is because ofvthe high price for entry. There is ample free parking on site, along with five spaces for RVs. Our truck and 26' travel trailer fit easily into their space, but it would have been tough backing out of it, had the lot been full. We visited on a Tuesday, so it was mostly empty. There's also an overflow lot that is at the top of the property.
As big Elvis fans, we stopped here on our way through the area. We had seen the great reviews and decided to give it a shot. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and it's obvious they work hard to keep them that way. Seeing the old buildings with big history was nice Fee is $12
Loved going there. Didn't have enough time to go to the top of the hill so will have to go back to see that part but enjoyed what I got to see. I think the vine on the fountain needs to be moved off the dates some so you can see them better but I loved the look and idea of it. It was a nice museum and a good selection in the gift shop.
I love coming to see the Humble beginnings of the King Elvis Presley. From his small home his dad build, To the outhouse they used... Man how lucky we are to have modern plumbing! 😆 🤣 But seriously, Great place to visit.
Got love the King. They have done a wonderful job preserving his birthplace and documenting his rise to King of rock and roll! It's not just a one room home. It's the whole history of his rise to Memphis and Nashville fame.
Visiting the Elvis Presley Birthplace in Tupelo is a truly moving experience, whether you’re a die-hard Elvis fan or just curious about American music history. The site is beautifully maintained and offers a deep, personal insight into the humble beginnings of one of the world’s greatest musical icons. The centerpiece of the attraction is the small, two-room house where Elvis was born in 1935. It’s modest but powerful — standing in the room where it all began gives you a profound appreciation for how far he came. The surrounding museum and chapel add layers to the story, showcasing his early influences, gospel roots, and personal journey. The grounds also include the Assembly of God Church Elvis attended as a child, relocated to the site and restored to reflect the era. Inside, a multimedia presentation recreates a 1940s worship service, complete with Elvis’s early gospel inspirations. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the gift shop has a great selection of memorabilia. It’s not a large complex, but it’s thoughtfully curated and emotionally resonant. A walk through the park, past statues of young and adult Elvis, offers a nice reflective ending to the visit. Tip: Go early in the day to beat the crowds, and take your time reading the interpretive signs. It’s more than just a birthplace — it’s a journey through the roots of rock and roll.

Great experience! As pictured, Museum is a large warehouse containing hundreds of vehicles spanning all of humanity’s automotive endeavors. You start with a brief video introduction to the founder and facility, then meander through vehicles laid out from oldest to most recent. Most vehicles contain a tiny audio speaker with a red button on top, when pressed will give you a brief narration about the car you’re standing in front of. It’s a nice touch, but if the facility is at all noisy these narrations are difficult to hear. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, with the experience being reasonably priced and well maintained. Definitely worth checking out of you’re in the area.
A really great place to visit. Unfortunately the museum will be closing for good at the end of March 2019. I recommend going if you can.
Wow just really cool. Beautifully restored as well as all original cars from 1908 to 2012. My only criticism is that there are so many cars it is impossible to really get a good look at them individually because the are parked so close together. There are a few exceptions. Still all in all a fun day. Knowledgeable staff and very friendly service.
This is a really awesome place if you like cars. The prices are reasonable and has plenty to look at.
Spent a lovely morning there today while the family went to Elvis’s Birth place. My 7 year old Car nut and I had a wonderful wander around. It is a clean and well setup museum with a little electronic box at each car to hear a small snippet about it, just enough info. Cars have some good patina for their age and some fully restored but great to see some in clean as driven condition. Highly recommended if you enjoy cars to pop in.
The building has a nice setup with the displays of the cars & trucks. Love the replica of the ole' general store. This was our 2nd time visiting. We went ahead & got a yearly pass to come back with guests as many times as we would like. Great experience for all automobile lovers.💜
Excellent museum! Incredible collection very well maintained and curated. It was a huge surprised and I highly recommend it!
You have to love this place if you love cars with history! Super nice personal, I had a great time and I will be back some day! (Y)

Took the family to an afternoon here and had a wonderful time! The staff were very courteous and helpful when we arrived. I can’t emphasize how great the staff was when we first arrived. That first impression really made us feel welcomed. We explained to them it was our first time and they gave us great recommendations since my kids wanted to see certain animals. We got our buckets of feed and headed straight to the giraffe feeding area since the staff recommended we do that first. My kids loved feeding the giraffe! Note the giraffe eats different food than what is provided in the buckets of feed but the lady at the front desk alerted that to us as well when we arrived. Then we did the rest of the walking area of the zoo. The animals were friendly and looked well cared for. My kids loved feeding and seeing the different animals. The walking portion of the zoo also has a playground and various slides and things for kids to play on as well as looking at the animals. We will definitely come back here if we are in the Tupelo area and we might do both the driving option and then finish up with the walking option.
Great! Saw a lot of animals, and was able to feed animals. You get a check list to check off animals you seen(A Driving and walking list), There was an area with sloths, another with reptiles/snakes, etc. *Not to much people when I went * (Went on 5/29/2025 around 10:30?) Had a gift shop, Had a collectible souvenir coin (?), Plush, small farm/animal figures and a little bit more. (Overall, Would recommend!)
Went on a weekday in the summer. It was hot so many animals were in the water but we did have some come eat. It was fun. Didn't do the walk through as it was closing shortly. I recommend checking it out.
We visited today - a group of three adults - and had a fabulous time. Some of the animals were not out due to the cold weather. That was no problem - we're glad to know their safety and health are considered first. The two ladies in the reception area were so courteous and helpful. Driving tour tickets for three people and a couple buckets of feed was around $45. We saw a number of cute animals, shared a ton of laughs and had some photo ops. A good value, in my opinion. Best - we didn't see any signs of neglect or anything to cause concern for the animals.
We had a great time feeding the animals. The young lady behind the counter was very sweet and helpful. This is a great place to bring your family.
The staff was friendly and informative. The entire place seemed to be kid friendly, no matter the age of the kid. All animals looked healthy, with clean environments. We were surprised at how many and the variety of animals they had. We will definitely go back.
The animals we did see looked unhealthy and conditions looked poor. I personally don’t think it’s worth $12 a person and to me kids shouldn’t be the same as adults. I don’t see how the animals are allowed to look like that… raw skin blood shown. A lot of animals were close in so couldn’t actually walk up.
Wonderful safari experience as well as the walk around exhibit. You might even get french kissed by Jafar the giraffe by far my favorite part was feeding him.

Very cool national park. Its a very small park located at an intersection. Short walk across the battlefield to read the signs and see the cannons. Doesn't take too long to see, so you'll have plenty of time to cross the border into Tennessee to see Shiloh National Military Park and travel to Corinth to see its sister park, stop in at Brices Crossroads National Military Park, Natchez Trace Parkway visitor center, and stop in at the Elvis Presley Birth Place Museum all in one day.
The history is where all the worth is at if you visit this site. Definitely an important consequential battle that paved the way for the Union’s victory over the war.
This is a very small battlefield near downtown Tupelo. A memorial and two cannons. Other than that, not much else to see or explore.
Extremely small but interesting skirmish site right in the middle of town. Gravesites, cannons, and markers. Worth visiting. You do not need to alot much time; again, it's very very small.
Small , well kept up, battlefield dedication with a large monument to the battle, a small monument to the Southern soldiers who died here, two cannons, two officer gravestones, and several small gravestones with Roman numerals on them. There's a container with the battles pamphlets.
A very small park in the side of the road in West Tupelo. Parking is along Monument Drive on the street. It is a shame that such an important memory is represented by such a meager offering.
Completely perplexed as to why this is an NPS unit. It’s a street corner at an intersection in Tupelo. No parking. No visitor center. No artifacts. No exhibits. You must visit the Natchez Trace Parkway visitor center for information and passport stamps.
We love visiting National Parks but this one left a lot to the imagination. A very little corner, at a stop light, in the middle of town. There was a map board that explained the battle but nothing there really showed that. It was hard to enjoy.

Best experience ever. Small private military collection and the owner is so helpful and full of knowledge. The phone number listed online is not in service but he is open so be sure to visit. You won't be disappointed.
My teenagers enjoyed learning about the history. There was a gentleman I wish I remembered his name but he walked around with us and gave us a tour. It was so much more interesting that way
What a treasure this museum is, incredible artifacts. Mr. Lute is passionate, knowledgeable and entertaining. We will stop again, it was so interesting to visit.
My husband and I are Veterans and he is a military history buff. We visited this museum yesterday and had a wonderful time. We spent a couple hours there and could have stayed longer. There is so much to see. Tony is a wealth of knowledge and you will leave knowing much more than you did when you arrived. It is a must-see attraction in Tupelo. Thank you, Tony and God Bless.
A very interesting private collection. Tony the curator is quite the character. Bring the kids for a wholesome learning experience. Plan about an hour to view the exhibits and another hour to socialize with Tony.
Incredible private collection! And we've been thru the Smithsonian and USAF museum in Dayton. Highly recommended if you're anywhere near here. Gentleman is a living military encyclopedia. I'm spreading the word to all my military friends and suggest they do the same.
So much more than we expected. The curator is very knowledgeable and enjoys sharing information. The musuem has an extensive collection from all wars. Very interactive my kids aged 9-21 all enjoyed their experience here.
The staff here were very friendly. Also several interesting exhibits, mostly shelves of WWII militaria. It was awesome though, lots of good artifacts there, great for military buffs. The Veterans Museum is attached to the Oren Dunn City Museum, which also houses several interesting exhibits. The price of admission is $4 for adults and $2 for children. Well worth the money!

Very pleased with the new updates to Ballard Park! The playground is phenomenal and very inclusive. We also love to see the Christmas lights on the walk path every year. Definitely a great spot for the family.
The play are is nice because it's in the shade. Swing sets are newish. The picnic tables are falling apart though and the thing that bumped it from 4 to 3 was the bathroom. Even if it wasn't 85 and hot and sweaty. They are dirty, rusty, crumbling and not kept. Plus side the running water....everyone appreciates a flushing toilet.
I love it here. This is my go to relax spot where I can just enjoy the scenery, eat lunch, feed the ducks or whatever. It's refreshing if you have nothing to do but wanna get out of the house. It has plenty of restrooms to use as well as a couple of playgrounds for kids to run around.
Such a beautiful park located in Tupelo,MS . Great views with a huge playground for the children. Nice performance stage, and still doing construction to expand some areas.
My 9-year-old grandson played in a soccer tournament here. It was a nice venue. My six-year-old grandson loved the playground.
Great park. Directions could be improved for tournament field locations. Also cash only parking. Not much shade but well kept fields. Very much enjoyed fields
I run here every week and it’s amazing. They have just built a massive new playground near the track. Not much shade but great for the kids. There is also a 1mile trail loop on the other side near the baseball fields that is shaded and nice.
Loved the new addition to the park! And of course, we still love walking the loop and feeding all the cute little ducks!

We stayed three-nights in a full-service RV site on the lake. We really enjoyed this park - it’s well maintained (except the roads - they’re really rutted and difficult to drive) and the facilities and park itself are great. We lost a couple of dollars in the washing machine, so gave it up and went to town to do laundry, so can’t recommend you do laundry at the park unless they’ve modernized the machines. Beautiful park - lots of land and amenities - lots of families with kids. Can highly recommend.
Roads in the park are beyond bad. Massive holes everywhere that you can't avoid. If pulling a camper as I was, 5-10 mph is the limit you can go. Sites are outdated and un maintained. Did not see a single staff member the entire week we were there. Lake was beautiful, but not enough to bring me back. They also had a burn ban in effect even though the previous week it had rained all week, so no camp fires.
We had a Wonderful experience there! We had Fully stocked bathroom, bedrooms and kitchen with Everything we needed. (brought our food of course).I was amazed that we had our own little peir to fish off of! Checking in and out was Super easy. All of the staff were Very Friendly and Polite. Our cabin was just like a home with a beautiful view of the lake. The boat landings are Super close! The ducks were fun creatures to watch. Nobody bothered us at All! It was so easy to check In and out! Didn't even have to get out of our vehicle. The place is clean, safe, and Well kept!
Skoolie friendly! I stayed at site 121 (the equestrian area) for the entire month of April. This site is fairly far from the restrooms which was an inconvenience for me. It’s very nice and quiet back there, and pretty dark too. Through the trees you can see the water. There’s a nice little dock/fishing area within walking distance. Lots of nice nature experiences! I didn’t use the sewage, but the water and electric hook ups worked great for me. I loved the concrete patio area. The picnic table is wood with metal supports, and is chained to the ground. There’s a nice fire pit and grill as well. Most of the people staying back there are long term, and everyone seemed nice and respectful. A camp host also stays back there. The bathroom shower was amazing (very large, handheld shower head with various settings, and hooks and spaces to sit things down without them getting wet.) I believe there is AC/heating in there, but there were some weird issues with lights. I guess they are on a timer because they wouldn’t come on a certain times of the day/night. There was tons of insects and spiders and crickets with black worms in there, but they cleaned it fairly often. It has 2 toilets and one sink with a mirror. The site is fairly private as well, and I saw a deer family very often as well as other critters like raccoons on my patio. Definitely recommend this area of the park! The month long stay in April was expensive in my opinion though as it was $676. Also the road through the park is terrible with tons of pot holes.
The setting is beautiful and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The roads have a lot of potholes, trash cans are few and far between and fire pits unmaintained. Some sections have people living there full time in ramshackle RVs. But the place is beautiful.
We rented a 2 bedroom cabin (#2) for an overnight birthday celebration for our 12 year old and 3 friends. The cabin beautifully accommodated the 6 of us, and was more updated than the photos showed on the website. The panaramic views are stunning, and the park was lovely. We will definitely stay again in the near future.
Rented a cabin. Nice clean. Beautiful lake, nice deck attached get for early morning coffee.
Made a last minute reservation and ended up arriving past closing, 5pm. Able to hookup my 30amp power and enjoy the cold weather of the night. Woke up with beautiful view and friendly ducks 😁 Showers/bathrooms very clean and stocked Did not use laundry facilities but the area looked clean Kids were running around, fishing, playing near the open lake. I will be back to explore more of the park.

Love this place. The group camping area is awesome! Clean bathrooms, great views, an amphitheater.. Beautiful lake. Will be back a LOT!
the park itself Is beautiful, beautiful lakes for kayaking (they have rentals) or fishing, very small roads coming in to the park, no sign when you get close to the office to tell you stop and park in the overflow parking lot because if you go into the office area circle you won't get out unless you have a tiny RV, there are nice paved roads for riding bikes but I would definitely not suggest the trails in the woods as there are lots of roots and overgrowth, there are several items on the playground for kids and lots of picnic tables (some with covers), nice staff in the office, there is a guard shack towards the entrance of the park that seems unmanned and it is in a very odd place and we almost hit the roof with our fifth wheel, there are several dumpsters around the park and a dump station if you need it, there are several large pavilions with picnic tables, water pressure is good but the sites can be quite difficult to back into if you have a large rig (we thought we would flip over at one point). Elvis's birthplace and museum are maybe 15 minutes away, restaurants and stores are 15 min or so away
Very nice campground. If I was staying more than couple of nights I would have liked more privacy. It seemed that 14,15,16,19 and 20 are stacked on top of each other. Also, I'd like to recommend that disabled people like myself, have access to the lake. I didn't see any place for us to get near water and fish. Melissa was extremely helpful on my phone calls and when I checked in.
I stayed here for several weeks in May. It is skoolie friendly! This campground has a lot of beautiful scenery and space to play around. I stayed at site 4. The picnic table is on the driver’s side which was weird to me as normally they’re on the passenger side. Site 2 has the hook ups on the passenger side which is even weirder. Anyway, site 4 is very close to the bathrooms which have 2 showers, 3 toilet stalls, and 2 sinks in the women’s and then a few washers and dryers in the center section of the bathhouse. There is a light pole right behind the site. Every weekend TONS of families came to stay, and there was always a ton of annoying children running and screaming and riding their bikes all over my site. They would even go sit and play at my picnic table, which is bad on their guardians, not the campground. I also saw several stray dogs that stayed for a while. The week days were typically very nice and quiet. I didn’t use the sewage, but the electrical and water hook ups worked perfectly fine for me. Overall 4/5 stars because of the hot restroom and weird layout of the sites I mentioned earlier.
I have not been really impressed by Mississippi, however the state parks have been really NICE. The park here is beautiful and the people are very nice. Very impressed.
One of my favorite places to camp when I'm in the area. The lake at dusk and dawn are on another level and I was able to get a campsite last minute. Incredible place that I have nothing negative to say. If I was to say something it would probably be there are more primitive campsites to be needed. But other than that it works for what I needed.
They got cottages, which are $100 tops per night. Got kayaking system, boat launch, fishing, camping etc. so many things to do...
Gorgeous park, fantastic hikes, secluded and peaceful. We stayed in Cabin 2 which is the largest cabin, but if you have more than 2 adults, I would not recommend this cabin. The interior had recently been renovated and was very nice (granite counters, stainless steel appliances, etc..) but, it was lacking a kitchen table, no upholstered chairs, no end tables. We ate our meals at the coffee table. There are 3 bar stools at the bar, but they feel flimsy, so we weren't comfortable sitting there. The outdoor table on the back deck had two sturdy chairs, but If you have 3 adults or more, you'll need to bring your own chairs to sit in. The park itself is lovely and well taken care of. Be sure to take a stroll on the bike path near the entrance. The views are awesome. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. This a a great place to spend your vacation time. We enjoyed our visit.

I stumbled across this little gem when I was looking for a place to walk my dog. The park next to it was lovely, but the museum caught my curiosity. I was warmly welcomed and invited to take my time, although it was close to closing. I spent a fascinating hour learning about the area from prehistory to modern day. The attached but privately curated Veterans Museum was equally fascinating and worth a trip all in itself.
Very cool place! Recommend visiting and learning more about Tupelo history. There’s also a museum of military artifacts in the back that was interesting. Staff were super welcoming, helpful, and informative!
The staff and volunteer we met were caring, passionate, and wanted to spend a significant amount of time chatting with us. I could tell they were extremely knowledgeable about Tupelo’s history.
A hidden gem organized by a great full-time staff. Such a neat experience to learn the history of Tupelo and all its people. Thanks to the staff for their hard work. It's evident they love their job and sharing the Tupelo Spirit.
The inside has very good information about Tupelo. Enjoyed reading about the history of Tupelo. Not sure why the rock exhibits to the point that some of the cases holding rocks are blocking the actual history boards. On the outside they could put info plack's up that describe what each old piece of farm equipment did. Otherwise, what am I looking at?
I took my grandson so he could learn more about Tupelo history. We had so much fun. Tupelo has changed so much since I grew up. He enjoyed the displays and pictures. Now when we drive down a street, he asks what used to be there.
Not enough security, not enough lighting. Medals should have been given out by age groups, not three medals for children ages 3 up to 16. Especially when there were almost 100 children there. Someone did not think this through. We will not be bringing our children and grandchildren back to your museum.
It's a great little museum that has local history. A cool early scaled model of the city is a highlight as is the outdoor cabin, old diner, and caboose. Not expensive and a fun way to spend a few hours in Tupelo. Right next to Ballard Park.

I thought this was a cool mall it was definitely clean when I was in there. It wasn't too packed and I like it like that, I feel like you can do peaceful shopping that way. There were several officers in there on all sides of the mall so that was great, but if you want too grab a few things without going to numerous of stores, this would be a good mall for that.
It's a pretty nice mall. Unlike so many others (like the one in Jackson, TN) there aren't too many vacant stores. We we're looking for something specific so we didn't take in the whole mall.
Bigger than expected! The have lots of fun and security. Indoor train ride was so neat. Lots of for options and quality clothing stores. What ever you need they pretty much have it. Bathrooms however need dreamy renovation. I addition to adding more bathrooms and more signs for finding the bathrooms.
I love this mall. Its not too big but it has lots of nice stores. Barnes and Noble is my favorite store here.
This mall is very nice and clean. My kids favorite place is the mall park play area. It is great to take them there and get out of the heat. They have a phone and laptop charging station there for the parents. You can eat or do some work while watching the kids play.
Surprisingly great mall! A lot of different stores, very clean, lots of food and restaurants to choose from. Plenty of things to keep people of all ages busy!
Always clean neat and stores up to date and modern. Food Court, Arcade, and play areas. Love this mall.
Love this mall, so many stores that are actually open, fun things for the kids to do. Bathrooms need a remodel.

The staff were very accommodating and very polite. Bathroom very clean. They advise. We were the first Camper to stay since the reopening. There are no camp sites near the water. I think all electrical panels are 30 amp. It’s an awesome place for peace and quiet if you enjoy camping.⛺️
I really wish I could give better ratings to state parks within Mississippi, yet they struggle to grasp the concept of being proactive at enticing folks to explore the outdoors. Beautiful park, especially for (1) Maitenanace employee who has experience in retail sales and not in taking care of a State Park. I give him a huge shout out for his dedication and the overall look of the grounds. Great boat launch area, plenty of picnic areas, but there could be soo much more done to make this a phenomenal experience right outside Tupelo MS. Get some volunteers or HS students that want to learn about lifeguarding, open a beach, put in some volleyball nets. Ballard park has a better pull in visitors than this park. Really hope the campgrounds open up soon. Water views from the campgrounds would be an enormous pull for some, as of right now, they are tucked in the woods.
Very disappointed. Lake has always been difficult to access for bank fishing due to steep sides. Now that's it's reopened post tornado repairs there is no elderly or disabled access to the shore lines. Nice new pier and even a connecting bridge across the lake but no steps or ramps on either side to reach them.
Was completely reset when tornado went through and tore everything up. I used to really enjoy fishing there on the dock. I haven't caught anything the last few times so I'm finding another place to fish.
Really great visit. We got there before they opened and met a few people that work there who showed us around a bit. It was really cool seeing the church and schoolhouse.
Absolutely love this place very quiet and discreet.. Go there at least once a week to fish🎣🐟🐟🐟
Beautiful lake and campground very quiet and peaceful my husband and I have been going here for awhile now because it’s not too busy and I like to walk so it’s a great place until a park ranger pulls up on you and ask for your ID. For what reason I don’t know. I’ve been out there many times and this is the first time a park ranger pulled up on us acting like we was doing something wrong. I believe it was because we were BLACK.... I pay my taxes like everybody else and if it’s a “whites only” park they need to put a sign up this has ruined my experience there and will never be back. I hate that because it’s a beautiful park and lake.
Tornado ripped though park a few years ago. Bike trails are history. RV camping sites are still nice, a few tent spots too, shower house, waste disposal station, edge of town near a bunch of businesses...5-6 miles, convenient store and breakfast restaurant a couple miles

The birthday party at Healthworks was great! The employees were wonderful. My son and his guests had a blast!! Thank you Healthworks!!
This place is a must visit if you have kids between 1-7, lot of activities to keep them entertained and they might learn a thing or two. Entrance is just $5
Brought my 2 year old son here. He loved it! They have lots of health oriented games and informational areas. They are aimed at children but they are informative for adults as well. Admission is $5 per person, 2yrs and over, at the time of this writing. Would recommend to anyone with young children.
Wow. What a wonderful place. We are visiting tupelo for a few days and we stopped in here for a quick morning play session. My 2.5 year old had a blast!!! So did my 71-year-old dad (he aced the trivia games) and myself. We stayed for 1.5 hours, which was a perfect amount of time. The PERFECT place for some indoor and educational play. Very clean. Wonderful ladies working there. Great admission price. We’ll be back on our next visit.
We took our elementary school students today. Healthworks is great! The employees were very upbeat. My 5th and 6th graders favorite activity was getting to diagnose a patient.
My daughter loved it! We spent over 2 hours here. Clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Great fun for kids and adults to have quality time while learning!
Very well pleased with the care and concern from my, brother's Doctor!

I'm an Aussie and "stumbled" across this wonderful memorial during a three month roadtrip. The entire memorial park is beautiful. I visited the Wall in Washington in 2010 and Tupelo's memorial wall is just as impressive and emotional. Well done to the people of Tupelo and Mississippi for this beautiful memorial to the 58,318 who didn't come home
I happened upon the Tupelo Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park after a missed turn. Normally I never stray from my route however; I was drawn to the park’s beautiful lake and trees. There were several monuments, a walking/running trail, and a marble wall listing over 50,000 fallen U.S. military. The entire park was lovely, clean, and safe.
Lovely, peaceful park honoring the fallen soldiers of the Vietnam War. We used the Vietnam Vetrans Memorial app to locate several friends and young men from our community that gave all in their service.
The memorial park is a beautiful tribute to the sacrifice of lives. It gave a somber peace as i walked thru thinking about the names engraved.
What an eye opener. For anyone who doesn't plan to visit the real Vietnam Memorial Wall you need to visit here. So much loss in one wall. The feeling can't be explained. Thank you to all who serve and their families.
Worth a visit with respect.

Small museum, but some lovely pieces. I would have liked more, but it was just right for my son.
A lovely space to experience some amazing exhibits and to learn more about various local artists and their artwork.
The museum was great. TPSD TUPELO schools had art work up . Fantastic!
This is a beautiful place! Beautiful building, beautiful artwork, and a great place to go with friends and family! The workers were very nice and helpful, too. I definitely recommend going!
It's a beautiful day or night and old building, well kept up, and a friendly staff
Great local treasure! Very community involved!
Interesting. Friendly people in a small town atmosphere
Clean. Excellent art work. Convenient.
