My wife, 11 year old granddaughter, and I had a great time. Lines were not bad for a Saturday in July, and there seemed to be plenty of lifeguards/attendants. We brought a cooler with lunch and drinks and were able to bring it inside with us. We even brought our own chairs, although there were plenty available early in the day. We also found a shaded spot to put our chairs and towels. All in all, it was a great day.
The entry fee was $50 per person for under a group of four The hours of operation are 10 AM to 5 PM Would I return yes? Would I recommend to try at least once yes You do not have to print your tickets a scan the QR code They do have food on site, but I recommend highly that you bring your own food. It is not very appetizing and for a large pizza it’s $28. You are allowed to bring in coolers and food and drinks just no glass This is a great waterpark in a sense that you can use it as just lounging. There’s plenty of free chairs to sit in shade or sun not overcrowded, but as for thrillseeking, this does not have any thrill seeking to it. I didn’t find the waterslides to be anything I wanted to go on more than once but I did stay from 10 to 5 using the pools the lazy river and people watching the atmosphere was great. It was not overcrowded.
What a great day at the Waterpark! Anna was so patient explaining how to surf with our kids. We couldn't have done it without her. They quickly got the hang of it. Hopefully her toe feels better soon.
a great place for the whole family to enjoy a water park in the mountains of New Hampshire. it is not overly large, has a few water rides, heated swiming pools, hot tubs, and places to eat. very laid back and controled admissions means it is never over crowded. best bet is to pre purchase tickets online, that way you do not get turned away at the door.
Was pleasantly surprised! Took our two boys (ages 7 and 13) there not expecting it to be a hit. Got there when it opened and secured a cabana by the wave pool. They had nice live music, the rides were great, and the place was super clean. From the road it doesnt look like much, but once you get in there it is a blast! The lazy river was very relaxing, and they have three big hot tubs for hanging out as well. For little kids, they have little spray attractions with pirate ships and wading pools. The wave pool was a big hit as well. I love that you can bring your own food and coolers, too. We will be back!
Went back to whales tale for the first time in over 25yrs and brought my 11yr old daughter who had a blast...loved the lazy river..wave pool was awesome...and the double rider slides were a hit...place was very clean..staff were awesome...Will definitely be back
Went as part of a large group. Informed to enter at the group entrance but then had to call and ask someone to come let the group in. Kids were extremely happy with the park itself. Clean, plenty of lifeguards and amble seating. I gave three stars because we attended on August 1st and one dining option was closed. The other dining option had chicken tenders, fries, hot dogs and burgers. Salads were listed but none in the cooler. When I asked about the salads the worker said they were out. When I explained that I was gluten free and had hoped for a salad to eat, she told me there was one left and I could have it. Not impressed that dining does not have all that is listed as selling, especially since it was still the height of summer.
So much fun. Just had a son(11yrs)and mom day and was perfect. Not big or too small . We loved the wave pool, Cabana we rented, wave surfing and waterslides. Love how you can bring your own cooler in. Place was nice and clean too

Beautiful train experience with friendly staff and lovely views. Very kid friendly! Provided a coloring page and crayons. Also snacks are available for purchase on the train ride.
The website made the ride out to be grander than what it was. The train went about 10 mph through a wooded area by the river but also through some people's neighborhoods/backyards. There wasn't much of a history given to us by the conductor. For what we received I believe it's a bit overpriced.
We went on the Fall Foliage Tour. The train was fairly comfortable. We didn't see a whole lot because we sat on the wrong side of the train. We remedied that on the return trip. The food was okay at the restaurant. The soup was cold. They ran out of dessert but several minutes later they brought out another pan. Cute giftshop - especially the cat sleeping on the lounge chair. The stop at the Ashland station seemed unnecessary. It was far too crowded to walk through the station let alone see anything. I was under the impression that there would be several costumed characters walking around talking about the history of the area. There was only 1 lady who stood there for pictures with passengers. Kind of a letdown. Overall, it was a good trip. Glad we went.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Leaves, Laughter, and Surprisingly Cushy Butts" Took a rail bike ride with friends and let me tell you—it was short, but so is a shot of espresso and we still call that a good time. 🚴‍♀️💨 The ride may not have been a Tour de France marathon, but what it lacked in distance, it made up for in fall foliage fabulousness. We’re talking trees showing off like it was their last chance before winter—reds, oranges, yellows... basically Mother Nature’s version of fireworks. 🍁🔥 The staff were absolute gems—friendly, helpful, and didn't judge us for trying to race the people ahead (who were clearly not racing). Also, big shoutout to the bikes themselves: smooth ride, solid condition, and seats that didn’t feel like medieval torture devices. Honestly, my backside has never been so pleasantly surprised. Perfect little adventure if you're into great views, good vibes, and cardio. 😄
It takes a lot for me to write reviews however I felt like I should make note of this. Simple rundown: 1. What seat your pick is very important as one you are staring at the water and the other you are staring into people houses the whole ride (Me and my boyfriend started rating houses at some point). 2. The pricing compared to the view of the houses is not worth it. I can take a drive and I would have had the same satisfaction. Paid $119 for two first class tickets. 3. The employees were friendly and helpful. I am usually you paid for the experience kind of gal, but the experience wasn't there unfortunately.
Oh my gosh, what a huge waste of money. How are people giving this good reviews? The best view you’ll get on the supposed Winnipesaukee train (no, you won’t see any of the lake on it) will be someone’s old trash. There’s a reason that there are no pictures on their site: there’s nothing worth taking a picture of! I attached photos of the “views”. Save your money. Don’t bother.
It was a nice trip that took about 1 hours, through the woods and next to and crossing the Pemigewasset river
The tickets I was sent were reserved tickets, but when I got there they told me its general admission! RESERVED SEATS AND WHEN I GET THERE ITS GEBNERAL ADMISSION! I even showed her the eletronic tickets that I had on my cell, she said it didnt matter its general admission! OF COURSE IT MATTERS, ONE SIDE OF THE TRAIN IS MOSTLY TREES AND THE OTHER SIDE HAS THE BEST VIEWS, IT SHOWS THE RIVER AND MUCH BETTER VIEWS! The Train ride was 1/2 hr forward and 1/2 back, so what you just saw is still going to be what you just saw, just in reverse. WAY BETTER IN NORTH CONWAY, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ONE IN LINCOLN, NH.

I love this place! I had the best time there last weekend with a friend. I am coming back next month with my son, because it was such a great experience! The gardens are gorgeous and taken care of meticulously - I thought the flowers were fake, they are so stunning! The natural river behind the resort adds the sound of water flowing, and yet another thing to explore. The lake and the view of the mountains are so beautiful! We loved the paddle boats, the pool and hot tubs- both inside and outside. We didn’t even know about the tower you can climb there for a 360 view- incredible! Thanks so much and I will be back often!
We stayed in a cabin on English Village Rd. The cabins are dated, but the resort is upfront that they are rustic and if you're unsure stop by for a visit before booking. The cabins are perfect for sleeping and using a launch point for all your White Mountain adventures. We also enjoyed paddle boating on the pond and breakfast in the restaurant. All were great and we would definitely stay again.
Beautiful views and property at a great location! Visited recently with out of town family and what a treat it was to stay in such a beautiful area with wonderful views. We absolutely loved staying here and loved visiting the gift shop. We must have stopped at the gift shop atleast 3 times, ha! Added bonus was enjoying the heated sauna and hottub after enjoying hikes in the outdoors. We will absolutely be back again and can't wait!
The accommodations were terrible. The room was smelly, dated, worn, and in poor condition. The shower was moldy, the shampoo and shower gel containers were empty and the bathroom was dirty. We had no housekeeping. The restaurant was very good, as was the pool and hot tub. I understand it is the off-season, but why be open at all if you're not going to provide basic amenities? We wanted to love the place but were very disappointed. Will not be staying here again.
The bed is very comfortable. The view is spectacular. The restaurant and food is excellent. We had dinner here and just finished having a breakfast buffet with a huge selection of freshly prepared foods and it reminded me of the breakfast buffets in Europe. I highly recommend this place.
Stayed here for 1 night expecting great things for the $275 charge. We had a room in the annex across the road from the main hotel. The room was very tired and basic. No bottles of drinking water were supplied and didn't wish to risk drinking the tap water. Wanted to walk up the viewing tower but required a Dollar in coins for the turnstile which we didn't have. Given the room price this should be free. I know it's only a Dollar but it's the principle. Went to use the sauna which was not working but used the outdoor pool and jacuzzi which was great to be fair. Didn't have breakfast or eat there so can't comment on this. With some money invested in a refurbishment this could be a fantastic hotel as location is great.
Attended a wedding there and requested a handicap room. The wedding was fabulous, food and DJ were amazing. The facility is not handicapped accessible. Areas with steps and no ramp and a lift that was broken. Even with a wheelchair, the raised threshold make it impossible to get over them. Yes, the view is amazing but what good is it if you can’t get out of your room. They need to seriously consider updating the facility.
I spent my summer vacations here, and now, as an adult, I continue to come back. It's much more popular now, but it's for the reasons I'll list! 1) Amazing grounds, everything is kept well, and there is no trash. Mostly thanks to the staff but also because the typical people you'll find staying there are kind and caring people that generally pick up after themselves 2) On sight dining is great, breakfast buffets are awesome, dinner is always amazing and during peak times it's accompanied by live music. As a kid, we would always just go do karaoke next to the dining room or go play in the arcade downstairs. There's everything for every generation you're traveling with, and if you want to explore off sight, there are plenty of places nearby that are amazing! 3) Nearby entertainment is awesome if you want to take a break from the peaceful retreat! There is an awesome waterpark down the street, scenic rail, and much more... I still haven't done everything in 20 years of going back. 4) The lake. They have a private lake with a perfect view of Indian Head (a rock formation that looks like a native chief which the resort is named after in honor of the likeness) and I believe they stock it. There are paddle boats for guests and an island in the middle that you can tie off on and enjoy the view with seating. 5) I prefer the cabins. There are multiple ways to craft your experience there based on your preferences, I prefer the cabins, but sometimes they are all booked. They offer a living room with a pull out couch that is large enough for 2 people, a private bedroom, and a bathroom. They're on both sides of the resort and offer extra privacy with all of the privileges of being on the resort. 6) The staff has always been amazing. In 20 years, I've seen many faces come and go and I've seen the property grow. Though faces have changed, the quality hasn't, and they are always so kind and caring. Overall, this is my #1 place to stay in NH. Cost is way outweighed by the value. If you're looking for a quick getaway or start an annual trip with your family, you will not be disappointed. Lincoln is a great town, and this place, in particular, is the best. Even when I'm visiting friends in the area, we still drop in to at least have a drink at the bar and enjoy the entertainment in the dining room. You'll make friends and form memories that will last a lifetime!

My friends and I stopped by Seven Birches for a wine and cider tasting, and we had a fantastic time! The place is super cute and has a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. We tried the cider along with a mix of reds and whites, paired with a tasty mini meat and cheese snack. One cool feature is that you can view the cellar on the level below, near the restrooms. Our server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, giving us great insights into our selections. If you're looking for a chill spot to unwind, this is definitely the place to go!
After visiting a few New Hampshire sights, we were looking for a winery to try and relax a bit. Seven Birches had something for both my husband and I. I tasted wine and he tried a flight of ciders. We enjoyed both and the ambience of the tasting room. This is a lovely area to visit and this place was a great finale.
My boyfriend and I have never been to a winery before let alone a wine tour. And the experience was one to remember for sure. The winemaker Nathan was amazing, and super knowledgeable. He made the tour very fun and enjoyable. And meeting the owner Mark was great as well. We will definitely be back for sure !!
Decent place and wine, purchased two bottles of reds (Pinot Noir & Cabernet Sauvignon). The minute I entered I was greeted with a welcome but the person quickly checked my wrist to see what kind of watch I was wearing (Garmin) (don’t want to say who and yes I saw that look she gave me lol). FYI, I was in my hiking attire as well lol. Right after the welcome and how can I help you? was pretty much like hurry up are you going to buy something attitude but in a nice way, So I asked for some tasting for two white and reds so I can purchase some bottles to go back home to NYC, so she nicely served me two whites and red to taste without telling me. Yay, I guessed all of them and her face expression changed, right away. I asked for the two reds and checked out. Point of this review.. I run 3 Bar Restaurants in NYC so please don’t judge, I would never do that to someone. For the wine.. it’s decent for the shop price and interior is nice but too judgmental. Maybe it was the personality or something. My first experience over there was just okay.
Wife and I stopped in for a scheduled Tasting with the Wine Maker. They are moved into their new home and I want to say I was blown away by their new facilities and the wine was good as well. We are sweet wine drinkers and the Strawberry and Blueberry were fantastic. They also have a sweet apple but it was not available for tastings. I would recommend the Wine Maker tour as you get to see behind the scenes as well as some history on them as well as souvenir glass each. We stayed for a glass and a slushy afterwards and some extra chatting. I see a fantastic future for them in this location.
The wines were different than what we expected but in a very pleasant way. Brian served us a flight and was super friendly and knowledgeable. Kamila was an absolute joy to converse with and had a ton of knowledge about local places to visit as well sharing other places to visit around the country. You must absolutely stop in here in you're visiting the area!
Cute little tasting room and gift shop, all connected to the beautiful hotel, and also part of Rhythm Cider next door, which we went to afterwards for lunch. This was for a ladies weekend, just my friend and I, and this was a great stop. They have wine slushies and if it were a hot day, I would've really enjoyed those! The wine was great, the hostess was knowledgeable about the wines, which was really helpful. Everyone was super friendly and the place was immaculate! We didn't have reservations, but were seated immediately. They have some charcuterie board type foods to order, but we knew we were having lunch soon, so we passed. I always love a tasting room that offers food! They did give us some oyster crackers and water to cleanse our palates between wines, and that is what set them apart to being 5 stars, because some places won't do this. Would recommend and will return!
While our boys were off on the slopes, we stopped in to this cute winery and met Brian. He was super accommodating and knowledgeable about Seven Birches. We loved hearing about the history, the wines, and the ciders. Definitely a great place to visit while in Lincoln.

March 2024: mostly ice covered trails; wear microspikes. Well used, saw several people and several people with dogs. Really beautiful hike along a gorgeous river.
For me I love a good waterfall at the end of a trail destination that says "waterfall hike". Sadly there was no waterfall but some water cascading over and around smooth carved granite. I also like hikes with some rocks and roots to climb. This hike is about 7 miles total on a flat abandoned railroad. The last 200' or so starts to have a lil elevation with mild roots and rocks to climb. It was pretty at the top where the water cascades a lil over rocks but no waterfall so don't get all excited to see a waterfall at the end. I definitely prefer the Basin Cascade trail which is like the very top of this Franconia trail but has granite water cascades the whole entire trail that you can either hike on cascades themselves or the adjacent trail. I'd probably rate this lower for me but for those wanting a 7 mile flat trail this is good for them. Looking at past reviews it could be better if you are a strong swimmer and know where to water slide down the rocks. I noticed after I was done that bikes are allowed and wish I ride my bike down that trail.
This was a very disappointing hike despite being pretty long, almost seven miles. The majority of the trail is long, flat, and very dull. The end of the trail with the 'waterfall' was unimpressive and very crowded. There are way better places in the area if you would like to hike to a waterfall, like Kinsman Falls at the Basin. Also beware that there is a parking fee here and the volunteers actively come out into the parking lot to check who has paid to park and who hasn't. Overall not worth the very long trek.
This is an awesome trail to do any time of year. It's the best on a hot, hot summer day so you can enjoy the water which is always cold, really cold. You can jump into the pool created by the falls or slide down the "chute" and into the pool. If you have kids going in, make sure they are strong swimmers and do not get pulled I to and under the falls. It's beautiful and fun, but also very dangerous if you're not careful.
It is a beautiful place. Crystal water. Wonderful I love it.
(Translated by Google) Beautiful place to go. Very beautiful. The walk inside a tunnel of trees is done next to the river that makes you relax with the sound of the water on the rocks. The waterfalls are not high but they are beautiful. (Original) Beautiful place to go. Muito bonito. Just saw an amazing performance of Jersey Boys at Jean's Playhouse. Can't say enough good things about it. The singers were fantastic and sang over 30 songs. We attend several performances a year at Jean's. Jersey Boys was the best so far!
Just went to Ghost Light. It was so well done. Lots of spooky stuff. All the couples were holding hands to make it through. A must see.
Great show with Wooden Horse! What a cool little theater! Before the show there was an awesome food truck and craft beers and ciders. Very cool. Sound and lights were awesome!

We just went to the haunted tour! So fun, very different and unique! Loved it!
Went this afternoon and saw Grease... it was fantastic ... The actors singing and the music were awesome... the piano music was incredible🤗

❄️Highly recommended! Super snowshoeing experience! Narrow but only moderately difficult until the end where it’s a bit steep. Not much parking (3-4 spots) but okay.
Loved the hike! Georgina is the best of the falls but there is one more above and several below.
3.44 miles, 847 ft ascent. Most of the trail is well marked with red markers. Toward the top the trail it becomes a little unclear. We stopped and turned around, maybe with 400 ft left as the trail seemed to be nonexistent, or maybe the maps we were using were older and it has been shortened. Very nice overall, views towards the top with several waterfalls. One time thing for us but glad we did it.
Amazing hike with gorgeous scenery. The hike keeps getting strenuous as you keep going higher. So be prepared. The only down side is that it needs better markers so hikers don't get lost.
It's a great hike. I would rate it moderate for kids. Was definitely a challenge for mine but we enjoyed it. The extension to Harvard Falls is much steeper and more challenging. The falls are nice but the trail peters out just after the falls and should be better marked.
Beautiful waterfalls and views. The hike gets a little challenging at the end.
Nice hike. Beautiful scenery. I would say it's not difficult one. Worth every step
The hike was definitely tough, pretty much all uphill. However the views were so worth it! Make sure you're paying attention to the red markers, you can make it all the way to the last waterfall by following the river and it's beautiful. You can swim along the way to cool down on hot days.

Update: Oct. ‘23 Went back during foliage season. Gets crowded with visitors and overflow parking is beside the road(hazard especially from a sharp curve) view for me is not as beautiful as those with the unofficial pullovers. I guess this has the most beautiful scenery out of the 4 official pullovers in kancamagus highway Aug. ‘23 I bet this is very beautiful during fall. This is the image during summer, see my pics below. There is an ample space for parking.
Very nice vista off the highway, but the trees are a little grown.
A very beautiful place to visit when you are doing the Kangamangus Highway.
Overview of mountain, didnt had much fall vibe but was beautiful distance view
Probably one of my favorite spots I visited along the Highway! It was so beautiful and calming. I went during Columbia day weekend, but it was towards the end of the day, so it wasn’t as crowded. You could see the fall foliage for miles! It’s definitely worth seeing in person.
If you have time to stop, definitely do.
Beautiful quick scenic spot on the highway between Lincoln and North Conway New Hampshire. Stop has wonderful views of the forest and mountains and is also near some water so is a good spot to look for moose.. Unfortunately we did not see anyone we were there, but we did find a patch of wild strawberries and plenty of birds and smaller wildlife.
A really beautiful place to just stop and enjoy the kangamangus highway. This was a very pretty setting even on a cloudy day. Great places to explore and walk.

The best church view in the world! Super family friendly, inviting environment for anyone from all backgrounds. Inspiring music from (worship pastor) Drew, and motivating message from (pastor) Marcus with nature allll around. Discounted “church gondola tickets” to ride to the top of the mountain where church is hosted. ✅ Clean, easy access bathrooms at the base and the top of the mountain. ✅ cafe with simple tasty food. ✅ I can’t wait to go back this summer! 🙌🏼 It was so cool to see people from all over the world enjoying church together.
Phenomenal Ministry, phenomenal coffee!!! My wife and I were in Lincoln NH for a mini vacation, and had heard about a wonderful thrift store, coffee shop, as well as a church worship service that occurs on Loon Mtn, Well my wife Linda enjoys the experience of shopping bargains, while I enjoy coffee!! The desk clerk at our hotel recommended the little coffee/thrift store, and off we went! The ice coffee was delicious, kind of dark roast, with ice also made from dark roast coffee, Dee-liscious!! My wife found something in the thrift store!! We decided to come back for worship service on Sunday, a full church, the Pastor Chaplain Marcus Corey asked how many people were tourists, and there were quite a few vacationers, some from Canada. We were a few weeks off from their Worship Services taking place on top of Loon Mtn, so not hesitate to see YouTube videos of previous seasons!! Worship was Jesus led,
What a beautiful setting to worship God! We arrived early and were welcomed by the staff of Loon Mountain Ministry. At the service we attended, we sang worship songs, there was a brief lesson for the kids, and a sermon for all. Drew gave a great sermon. I would recommend this to anyone! Services on the top of the mountain run from mid-June to sometime in October. Service starts at 11 and they suggest getting on the gondola by 10:30. Be sure to ask for the church ticket for a discount on the ride up.
I don't get to church often enough, but when I do I like to go hear my friend Marcus. He is very welcoming and engaging. Plus we are in one of my happy places, even if there is no snow on the ground. Great kickoff to summer.
It's been amazing to meet the fantastic people of Loon Mountain Ministry! What a gift to worship along side other believers while viewing God's breathtaking creation! Sunday worship on Loon Mountian is refreshing and points you to the One who made us all!
Marcus, Drew and Nathan are amongst the purest preachers of the word of God! Thank you for not only spreading The Word, but marrying me my beloved Lisa in his name.
An amazing place to help get closer to God while being closer to nature the ministry itself has an amazing staff and an extremely welcoming presence to anyone from any walk of life
Inclusive welcoming and great views this ministry is very rare and I would suggest that anyone is a Christian should definitely go for at least one service if not many

This is a really nice tribute to an event that shook the world! The abduction of Betty & Barney Hill in September, 1961! Created international headlines when their story was released in the “Boston Traveler” newspaper. This marker stands on the site where Barney stopped the car and crossed the field to see the aliens up close! The actual abduction happened across the river off Rt 175 in Thornton NH! A true story ! A fascinating one.
It's exactly what it looks like…A sign along the highway. But if you love aliens and abductions then it's definitely worth the trip! It's actually really cool standing in the same spot where Betty and Barney claim to have been abducted.
If you don't know this story, then do your research! You can find the book used online and Discovery has a great documentary from 2022! So crazy to visit the place where it all happened!!
Very good place to go for a picnic with Aliens. friendly staff. Aliens ship was a bit small but we managed to be comfortable inside it. they informed us that they will upgrade the alien ship soon. Alien-123421 helped us a lot. thanks man I enjoyed the ride.
Beautiful view of fall foliage, cross the road and behind Indian head resort
It's just one of those historical markers on the side of the road. We saw no UFO's or UAP's. Neither were we abducted, nor were we probed. Very disappointed.
The actual incident took place a couple miles up the road. This was the closest landmark that Betty could recall.
Located just a few minutes from flume gorge. On the major route, it was slightly easy to go past it. Indian head hotel is a good landmark

This is my favorite river in NH to photograph. There are many trails along this 65-mile river. In the heart of the Whites, this river won’t disappoint for some beautiful views 😊 be careful visiting in the spring though as the water is freezing cold from mountain snow melt and the river is at its highest. These pictures are in Woodstock, NH.
Our first visit, but it won't be our last. Beautiful view from every direction. Our visit was in October and the weather was perfect. The trails are clean and very maintained. We had an amazing experience and would highly recommend to everyone.
We have our Pemi Shore Cottages at its widest part down in Franklin, and it's both private and beautiful. Very few tourists and usually you have the place all to yourself for kayaking, fishing, etc. The water comes down from the White Mountains and is clean but can be quite cold, which is great on those hot summer days.
We always enjoy the river when we're at the White Mountain Boogie N' Blues Festival
A nice lazy river. If you’re having a rough day, just hop on your tube and drift away. 10/10 would recommend.
It's clean, it's mean, and it's surrounded by green 😎
