My wife and lucked up and snagged a last minute reservation for this past Father’s Day weekend due to a cancellation. We camped at site E112 which is conveniently located two spots from the bath house. The camp hosts Don and Ginger were right beside us and came over while we were setting up to welcome us and introduce themselves. We later saw them walking around the loop keeping the area immaculate!!! This was our first time in the State campground as we have only camped in the National Park next door in previous outings. And the State campground is much more equipped, having hot showers and what appears to be better maintained facilities overall. Whether you’re in the State Park or the National Park, the beaches are phenomenal… and pristine! Unlike the beaches in OC, which are vastly overcrowded and polluted with trash everywhere. Assateague has become our annual Mecca since we moved to Maryland 12 years ago. The wild ponies, amazing sunsets and sunrises are truly spectacular. Highly recommend!
We had incredible experiences at the park last week. Beautiful, clean, well-kept beaches. We saw lots of horses. It seemed like it was going to be overcrowded because of waiting for 30 minutes in traffic but didn't feel that way at all when we made it to the beach. *Would have liked more lunch options the day we went to that side of the beach. Overall, just awesome. Highly recommend.
What a wonderful place to visit and camp at! The water was cool in July but it felt fantastic with the hot, sunny days. The camp sites are big, too! We had 4 tents and plenty of room left over for games and such. The sunrises and sunsets were gorgeous and typically when the horses come out. Good to make sure that your food is locked away at those times especially. I’ll also add it was totally fine to camp in the middle of the summer, because of the nice breeze that lasts throughout the day and night.
Assateague State Park is gorgeous. It's definitely a must-see . The horses are able to roam free around the whole park, including the beach area. Due to that you can not bring food on the beach . They have a ton of camping spots right past the dunes .if you are strong enough to brave it . The campground is very open, so the wind wipes, though . The horses also roam, though, so you have to be careful with your food . But once you know all that, the park is amazing . It was so beautiful and peaceful
Stayed at the campgrounds for the first time, during 8-1 through 8-4 . What a neat and exciting experience to see and have the horses come into our campsite. If you haven't camped there yet, it's highly recommended. My boyfriend and I will definitely be back! Just a fore warning, the campsites get booked pretty quickly. Most reservations are booked up to a year in advance. My boyfriend was lucky enough to reserve 3 nights for us, although our first night we could only have for 1 night and then the next day we had to move to another site for the other 2 nights. But the important thing was we got the reservations just 2 days before leaving, What luck!. It was great to see so many riding their bikes, walking along the bike path for exercise, and, of course, the children playing.
Just an amazing experience. Beware of the 🌵 all over the ground be sure to wear shoes. Be prepared to be amazed! The wild horses 🐎 are beautiful! The beach is beautiful too! Definitely worth a quick visit! The beach is gorgeous as well!
We stayed at the campground for two nights. It was very windy the day we arrived and most of the first night. There was a light wind the rest of the time which was nice. It stayed cool and the bugs were not a problem. The restrooms and showers were impeccably clean and looked fairly new. The campground was pretty quiet other than a few generators running once in a while. 10 PM to 7 AM are quiet hours and no running generators are allowed during that time. The wild horses roam all over the place and are beautiful, but keep your distance. They'll bite, remember they're wild. You can hear the waves crashing all night long as you sleep. It's very relaxing. I'd recommend going here, but make a reservation or you probably won't get a site.
This is an overall favorite for our family. The beach is clean and much nicer than others around. There are many beautiful trails, and of course, there's nothing like seeing wild horses! I recommend to anyone traveling in the general area (in our case, whenever we visit Ocean City), don't miss at least a day in Assateague.

I absolutely love Berlin, MD. About an hours drive for us. We go often. Love the small town charm and everyone is nice. We really like the small businesses that the town promotes.
Too bad it's so expensive to shop here.. only good for tourists. Even the nice little thrift store is gone now. Still has some good events that are needed to keep Berlin a popular town to visit.
If you have time at OC it is well worth the 20-minute drive to visit Berlin and take a walk around this small town once voted coolest small town and also where movies were shot. Main street has some nice shops aong with galleries and the Atlantic Hotel is historic and has a restaurant (although the food was average)
Closed, but a variety of printed info available. Nice looking place. Sunday visit.
Berlin is amazing. I recommend it to everyone. Capn slice has the best pizza around and Island creamery is amazing
Awesome little coffee shop with delicious snacks and specialty coffee drinks. Can sit quietly inside and read or outside on the sidewalk tables.
This is such a great little town, perfect for a day of shopping. Everyone was so pleasant to talk to.
Waited in line forever to get beer tickets, then Waited in line again to get beer. Cyprus ark (I think was the beer company) then proceeded to pour half a glass. I asked a out it a day was told it was a out 3/4 of a glass. Walked around till 2pm. No live music This is our last O tober fest.

We had a fantastic experience working with Ocean Downs Casino for their event! We delivered two whiskey barrel tables and four wine barrels, which added a rustic and elegant touch to their setup. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful during the delivery process, and a special shoutout goes to Marissa for her excellent communication and professionalism—she made everything seamless! I had a great time won some and loss some but they give plenty of free cash and points for first time visitors and you dont have to wait to use it. Tables were $10 and up. I described the place as small-big. Plenty enough of games but my fiancé thought they should have more Black Jack tables. The Trotter races was a different experience for me.
This was our second time visiting Ocean Downs Casino in Ocean City. There is plenty of parking outside with golf carts driving around, offering rides to the doors. The casino had plenty of games to choose from for all types of gamblers. One thing I enjoyed is they had designated smoking areas. Therefore, the whole casino didn't smell like smoke. We dont usually have luck at casinos but ended up leaving happily after playing for a while.
We were looking for something a little different to done evening while on vacation in the area of Berlin MD. I noticed they had horse races, and my husband and I decided to go. We happened to go on a Wednesday and we're pleasantly surprised to learn about $1 Wednesdays outside for the races. They had lite beer, hot dogs and ice cream offered for a $1 if you chose to have those items. We had a blast! We're not big gamblers but the staff was very helpful and we pretty much broke even by the end of the night. This ended up being one of our favorite nights rooting for the horses! 😊
Having a wonderful time in ocean city. Nice visit to the casino yesterday. Only 1 mix up is that got my 10 dollar free play as new visitor after joingi the club then went to the club machine as was instructed and won another 10 dollars playing the game and picking a shell but that 10 bucks never loaded onto my card. That was disappointing. Other than that. Staff was friendly. Plenty of open machines and look forward to visiting again before we leave for home . Machines gave us some enjoyment. Tight but not as tight as Maryland live or the MGM which made this casino more enjoyable. Quaint and fun.
This casino is magnificent and quite large! The staff is friendly and professional. They add excitement and explanation, and truly seem to love their jobs. The food is all of super quality and a varied menu. We attended the racetrack as well as the musical venue; both were terrific!
It was clean and non-smoking environment, but the machines very tight. No one can beat the chicken in tic-tac-toe!! 😂
Even though we lost it was still fun! G nice casino, clean and not Smokey

Really cool spared for some good food and beer. The seller is nice and intimate and they have live music every Friday, which was awesome. The bartender is also great and super friendly!
It’s been many years since we were in the Ocean City area and able to visit Burley Oak prior to this past Saturday. We arrived in the early afternoon and were promptly greeted as we had seats at the bar. Bill & Lauren took great care of us and we enjoyed a nice variety of great beer. Their Coffee N Cream ale was the highlight of my visit, my wife enjoyed their Tiramisu stout mixed with the Coffee N Cream ale. Everything we had was wonderful, they offer a lot of prepackaged beer to go as well as crowlers & growlers for what’s on tap. Hopefully we get back to Burley Oak again before too much time passes by again!
First ran into Burley Oak at Glizzy Fest and really got into their Jream series so naturally I was excited to go to their brewery. Pros - Friendly Beertenders - Variety of Seating Options - Will pour flights when it’s busy Cons - Beer is meh. Would rather stop at RAR on the way down to the beach instead of this place. - Food is overpriced for portion size. $19 for me feels like it should be shareable nachos. See attached photo. I laughed out loud. - Flies everywhere - landing on the beer, the food. I get it - brewery close to the beach but figure something out.
The staff was friendly and really took care of us. The beer was okay. I had the Lost and the Pineapple/Mango JREAM. I thought they Lost was good but enjoyed the JREAM more. The experience was a little confusing as there is a distillery and a bar with a common outdoor area but there are no clear signs of where to go in that outdoor area my wife and I found ourselves wandering around trying to figure out what was going on. Then when we went to leave the way we came in was now closed so we had to look around again to find the exit which was through the distillery. Not a bad experience just confusing.
Cozy little local brewery with some awesome beers. Great IPAs and a lot of fun fruited sours as well, they have a diverse beer selection that’s always changing and innovating. Nice outdoor seating area for the warmer weather. Burley Oak also has a great reputation in the OCMD and Delaware Beaches community— I love seeing their beers all over town. And they host a few different big events throughout the year like their Sour Fest and Controlled Chaos!
Beer was good but the flights were ridiculously expensive at $24 per flight! The price was not on the menu.
We have been going to Burley Oaks the last few years when we’re in OCMD. I have always generally liked their beer but the last two times we visited, we were disappointed. Hope the next time they’ll have more fruitful or wheat beers on tap. The atmosphere is fun and the bartenders are nice.
The place is nice, but there is significant room for improvement in terms of experience and service. When we arrived, we were seated at a table without realizing that we needed to ask for the menus or find out where to order cocktails, food, and beer, as these were located in different areas. Fortunately, a couple sitting next to us helped us out, saying, “Yes, we learned the hard way too.”

Huge place and friendly staff. Covid 19 season so it’s been very slow things are not moving around.
Awesome gift shop and souvenir store. We were visiting OCMD and love going to Berlin MD. Small town vibes with a ton of things to do. Our first time coming to Outten,s Delites and it didn’t disappoint. The lady at the front was nice an helpful. There is a ton of souvenirs and gifts, antiques and local business products. There are different sections for many holidays. The Zultar machine and pressed penny machine was really cool to see.We will definitely come back soon.
Very nice store with interesting items
I found the store to be delightful. The lady behind the counter was very friendly. I asked for a veterans discount, and she very nicely explain to me why she was unable to provide one. That was ok. There were so many nice things in that store. My daughter was on her way to spending a fortune. I read some of that one and two star reviews from several years ago, very harsh. I encountered none of that. I recommend the store and will be returning myself.
I love this shop. Every time I come to OC, I stop at this shop and pick up something for a treasured memory. The owners wife usually takes care of us and is very friendly and cordial , prices are fair . Stop by you won't be disappointed
The only reason that I'm even giving this store a star at all is because of the fact that I can't write a review without giving them one. I am absolutely completely outraged and appalled at the experience that I just had in this store. We were asked to leave when I mad an honest attempt to let the ladies at the register know about a necklace I had just tried fell apart in my hands when I reached back to take it off. I was then informed that there is a "you break it you buy it" policy here at this store. Let me mention this was a $6.95 necklace. I told them that I would not pay for it. There was no intent to destroy something. The necklace was cheap and clearly defected. The woman then disappeared and a Gentleman comes out and confronts me and my children telling us that we needed to leave the store immediately as if we were criminals. Should I mention that both of my children are biracial? I want to believe that had nothing to do with it but I can't hell but think that there was definitely some racial profiling taking place. I am absolutely and completely disgusted with this kind of treatment this man doesn't even deserve to have a store. He gives a poor name to small business owners everywhere. I'm a small business owner and I would NEVER treat clients this way. Please spread the word people should not visit this location there are other stores in Berlin more worthy of your time and money.
Nice little store, actually love looking around and spending some time here. The reason for the one star is the woman who works the counter. She's not polite and she's very fake. She's been rude to me more than once. I've heard her be rude to other customers. Today I went in to look around and I had something in mind to buy, I got there 20 mins before close so I was planning on being quick. When I walked in I was told ' we close in 10 mins' then she immediately started turning off lights and started to close. I could tell I wasn't welcome so I left. Horrible representation of the business. They rent booths out and people sell stuff. I bet the people paying rent to sell there would love to know she turns away sales.
The store is okay, but the woman who works there has a nasty disposition. She rolled her eyes when I wasn't ready to check out, and lied about having a restroom. She told us it is private. It is NOT A private bathroom, as it clearly states it's for men/women customers! She left a very bad taste in our mouth. All the other antique stores in Berlin are delightful. Watch our for this snappy witch!

I love all the fun activities that have been planned! Peach fest, 80's party and movie on the lawn. As a resident we have been excited to attend! Would love for run away bride or tuck everlasting movies on the lawn in the future😊
Great venture into what the history thru the house and tour given. Some place worth the stop while visiting Berlin.
Really thrown off by the signs about pesticide application surrounding the free concert area where kids were running around in bare feet and people were sitting on the ground. Seems like a very cool place otherwise, and would have loved to spend more time, but not willing to hang out because of that.
Very enjoyable visit. Local history presented in an interesting manner. Don't forget to stroll around the grounds to view the ancient trees.
Quaint museum...we visited for the Berlin peach festival and the place was filled with vendors. Atmosphere was very lively, and ofcourse tried the famous peach cobbler. Great place to visit with family!
Really enjoyed this old house. The museum was lot's of fun. Loved seeing the old painted floors. It's not quite as nice as the Poplar Hill Mansion in Salisbury and the guide wasn't quite as pleasant (could have been a bad day, someone had broken the porch chairs the night before). We did enjoy learning about the local peaches and what made them so special. I plan to go back when my granddaughter visits, it is worth a second glance.
Berlin Peach Festival was fantastic! Loved it. Been a local for over 35yrs and this was my first time, will definitely be back.
This museum is a must for anyone who cares to know about what made Berlin so special. Plus, their free live music events are a real treat for locals and visitors.

FABULOUS EXPERIENCE!!!!!! Everyone here is amazing and so welcoming. Amy served us and she was absolutely AMAZING! Super friendly and knowledgeable. Loved every minute of our tasting here. Wine, food and people here are great. A must visit!
Thank you Savannah for an amazing experience! Where do I start the wine was delicious! We got a bottle, price was very reasonable. We had the New York steak cooked to perfection and so delicious. We also had the duck and the chicken flat bread both amazing! We had the wine cheesecake for dessert so light and fluffy not filling like a usual cheesecake. The rooms were beautiful afterwards we went to the field and picked wildflowers for free. I love this place! 10/10 for everything. ❤️
Holy cow, this has got to be the most amazing winery I’ve ever been to. The hospitality is next level, Deb was SO sweet and passed us onto Jack at the bar who was incredibly knowledgeable, fun, speaks 7 different languages AND provided a wonderful tasting based on our preferences. We then got to experience the igloo, which caused us to book one for the following Sunday because how cool! And there was one of the igloo servers/hostesses who showed us to the flower field, which was beautiful. I can’t express how amazing the hospitality was here, and we can’t wait till next week!
This place was amazing! I am ready to be here too often!! Wine tasting was on point (thank you Reid)! They have a good looking menu, I didn't eat any food today, so can't say if it was delicious, but what I saw come from the kitchen smelled fantastic! Very quiet spots if looking for seclusion, more festive outdoor areas with corn hole. They were setting up a band when I left, always fun! Got to trek through the wild flowers and clip some nice ones, they supply vases and clippers! Really, just such a beautiful property and everyone is very chill. I will be back!
My wife (and I) enjoy visiting local vineyards when out of town. THIS WAS THE BEST VINEYARD we have been to out of town in a long time. The staff is phenomenal and Savannah was amazing. Went through the menu with recommendations and the appetizers that came out were perfect. After a few flights we through a couple bottles. The primary "house" is amazing inside and out. The owners obviously care to keep the property is pristine condition and preserve older attributes while improving the esthetics. If you have the chance to come by or can make the trip, 11/10 recommend.
on September 23rd my boyfriend planned the most romantic birthday bringing me here to the windmill winery we had the sweetest server, Savannah. She was so accommodating and knowledgeable on the menu. All her suggestions from the wine flight to the strip steak were delicious .. got to tour the property, pick flowers & feel like a princess all in one. An unforgettable experience.
A couple of friends and I went for a girl’s night out to enjoy the igloo experience. The food was delicious (we got the fondue with chicken and steak skewers for two which was plenty!) and the igloo (igloo #5) was really cozy with fuzzy covers on the chairs and lap blankets plus a small space heater. There was a speaker in the igloo with music playing. (Last night was Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, etc.) Our server was perfect too, very attentive and knowledgeable. The property is set up nicely with several outdoor seating areas that include fire pits so you can grab a bottle of wine and some glasses and just hang out. We didn’t go into the farmhouse/restaurant part but want to go back and try that another time. The whole property is set up perfectly for a romantic afternoon/evening or getting together with friends.
My sister recommended this lovely little place. I went with a high school friend just to check it out. We were delighted the moment we drove up to the quaint property. We were greeted very warmly by everyone. We were seated at a nice table in the well decorated parlor room. The fall colors were very attractive to our eyes. We were given the menu, and the details were explained to us. Our friendly host...I believe her name was Natasha was very hospitable and funny. She allowed us to taste some wine choices. We settled on a bottle of "Bless Your Heart" . Everytime someone said that we took a drink. We enjoyed our food choices. "Good job Chef". We took the tour upstairs and admired all the antiques and character of the house! It was a wonderful afternoon of good wine, food and laughter. We certainly want to come back, and have an experience out in the igloo. Thanks everyone....we will be back and will bring more friends!

The best. Rodney and his wife are true professionals, the old school way; polite, kind, appreciative of every customer who walks in. I’m there a lot for planters for my business, I always leave with some of the most beautiful finds. Friendship Cottage is a very special place.
Fun for treasure hunters. This place is PACKED with stuff so be prepared to take your time and I’d leave your bulky bag or jacket in the car. Clean restroom available. The day we went, they were having a 50% off sale store wide. I was able to score some beautiful stoneware - there was so much, I had to leave some behind. Hoping they have that awesome sale again!
Just beautiful everything, and the couple who work there are so sweet
What a great place to go treasure hunting - this place is packed with all kinds of goodies!! You never know what you will find. GREAT customer service !!!
AMAZING! You could easily spend an hour here and not even scratch the surface of all there is to see. The couple running it are sweet, knowledgeable, and don’t hover at all. Definitely a must if you enjoy “the hunt” of finding unique treasures. The aisles can get pretty narrow and items are stacked precariously at times. I would not recommend carrying a large purse/backpack or bringing smaller children.
My favorite store! I have many treasures in my home from Friendship Cottage. Anytime I’m looking for a special item, I find it here!
What a unique place to go treasure hunting! It’s really amazing. So much stuff at very reasonable prices! My husband and I will definitely visit again. The owner was very kind as well!
I love shopping at Friendship Cottage Antiques. It's always my first stop before going to the hotel in Ocean City. I usually go more than once during our visit. You can't leave empty handed. I usually leave with a car load. 😁 Looking forward to my next trip. The owners are very friendly & helpful! Stop in & have fun looking for your favorites.
