I must say I initially had no interest in visiting this museum. I took my mom because she’s been wanting to go for years and I was blown away! We stayed for hours!! I love that they have several live exhibit shows, we watched the glass blowing. I love how there were opportunities for interaction and immersion and I loved the artwork!! The food court was another pleasant surprise as well. The prices were reasonable and the food was pretty decent. I ordered the black bean burger. I just wish it came with lettuce at least on it. We also made our own glass pendants which was a very nice experience as well. Overall, we plan on visiting again and will bring some friends along as well.
We thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Truly amazing what can be done with glass, I had no idea. Plan to spend most of a day to see everything. I also enjoyed the display on fiber light guide. The flameworking demo was well presented. The presenter was very informative and seemed to really enjoy her job. However the narrator at the Hot Glass demo seemed totally bored. All and all a great experience
This is a very cool museum. There are a number of sections that showcases the artistic aspect of glass as well as the science and the history of glass. It is a material so integrated into our lives that you don't even realize how often it is used. My favorite parts are the glassblowing demonstrations. The glass blowers skillfully makes works of art within 20 minutes and it's very interesting to see. During late September and October, they have seasonal demonstrations such as making a pumpkins. You can even take glassblowing or sandblasting classes. This is definitely a museum worth checking out.
The Corning Museum of Glass is a unique experience that combines creativity, science, and art in an intriguing way. Every area of the museum evokes wonder, from breathtaking glass sculptures to live glassblowing demonstrations. All ages will love the exhibits, which exquisitely display both contemporary advances and antique glass workmanship. The GlassMarket store provides distinctive mementos, and the staff is informed and welcoming, making the entire experience better. The live demos are especially instructive and captivating. A must-see location that genuinely shines with brilliance is the Corning Museum of Glass, regardless of your level of art appreciation or general curiosity.
Glass making and a Lego con! The glass making was well worth the price - Erin was a fantastic teacher. She timed her lessons very well, even including moments for pictures 😀 very informative and her direction was very, very clear. This was I believe the first time the museum hosted a Lego con. It was free with admission and a lot of fun. The layout was easy to navigate. Tickets for entrance are timed so if recommend buying in advance.
Absolutely worth a visit, even if it means a short detour from your route. A fascinating collection showcasing the history of glassmaking, with detailed exhibits from ancient times to modern days. We learned many curious facts, took part in two workshops, and were amazed by the contemporary glass art exhibit. Three hours flew by completely unnoticed - a truly captivating experience.
We visited the Corning Museum Of Glass on the weekend during Incandesent Festival in Corning NY. The museum was also sponsoring the Empire Brick Lego convention. Admission price covered the Lego display in which hundreds of creations and Lego artist were available to see and talk about the Lego art. The Lego exhibit also offered Lego themed hot glass demos. Tickets for the Corning Museum of glass maybe purchased in advance on line or purchased at the museum. Tickets are good for two days. See web site for ticket information as well as a variety of different classes which are offered at a cost for the day you visit. We had visited on a weekend and since it was during the Lego exhibit it was extremely busy at the museum. I was impressed how well organized the museum is and hardly and hadn't hardly any wait time. Maps and information are given at the front counter when receiving Tickets. Be prepared to have the time when you visit Corning Museum of glass as you could readily spend two days at this amazing place! I plan on a return visit in which I definitely will take a glass blowing class. Blown glass as well as other beautiful gifts maybe purchased at the museums large gift shop. It has something for everyone! The only downside to the museum is the parking lot. It needs more signs for location. My husband and I as well as another couple we met were confused at exactly where the museum was located. Also small buses are available to ride in for those who are handicapped.
Mi wife and I visited with a tour. We only had 2 hours but you can't really see the museum in 2 hours so we took a lot of pictures. We saw vases being made downstairs and a lady creating a carature of a bunny upstairs. The museum had a bunch of different sections. Beautiful glass art. Big gift shop and food court. I would recommend.

Wonderful small museum. Some terrific pieces, including significant artists from New Mexico and elsewhere. There is a huge Bierstadt landscape and numerous paintings from the Taos School of artists. Beautiful building. And a terrific little gift shop. I highly recommend it.
This is a lovely architectural marvel has worn many hats and she still stands tall and majestic as a pillar in this community with a life now as a art museum doing an incredible service to all who grace its galleries! We had a great visit and loved our time there, I highly recommend spending time there, especially with the high school student section! It is so in-depth and immersive! I’m very grateful to the curator who thought of this and got it done! Amazing artistry is on display here! The views from the top floor veranda is so lovely and cozy!
It's a nice art museum. If you pay a little extra you can get a ticket for Rockwell with your glass museum ticket. I think its really worth it. Especially since you have access for two days. The exhibits themselves are interesting. One of the ones that have up right now are called palettes. Which are basically pictures of an artist's palette after they've finished one of their works. It's really cool to see.
Lovely little spot. My 2.5 yr old daughter broke her leg so we were out exploring and went with the intention of visiting the kids lab. Unfortunately that is closed in the “winter” on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but the front desk staff was lovely and we still very much enjoyed the museum. We did the ghost hunt and the art hunt and my daughter was very happy to get some cute rewards for her and her sister upon completion. It was also really wonderful that the museum had little strollers available, that made it easier to navigate with the broken leg and walking cast. We will definitely be back!
Visiting the Rockwell Museum in Corning, NY, was an enriching experience. The museum beautifully captures the essence of the American spirit through its diverse collection of artworks. From stunning Western landscapes to thought-provoking contemporary pieces, the exhibits offer a deep look into different eras and perspectives of American history.
An amazing, eclectic, educational collection of 20th century art, focusing mainly, but not exclusively on the displacement of native Americans, and the emerging industrialization of the nation. A fantastic experience for art and American History enthusiasts. Also, we found some fairly priced, unique items in the Gift Shop.
We had a great time visiting the Rockwell Museum and seeing all of the beautiful and story telling pieces of artwork they have on display. The story behind the museum is unique and is a definitely a great museum to support. We had a wonderful time stopping here on our travels.
3 floors of American & Native artworks. Very nice gift shop as well. Everyone is very welcoming and helpful. We bought the ticket combo for Museum of Glass which works for 2 consecutive days.

This is the perfect small town if there ever was one! Super picturesque and clean. Great shops and restaurants. Regular events and markets. Wonderful community.
Well maintained area. More "services" than anticipated vs. "shops." Don't go early - most opened at 10 or even 11. Parking was confusing (garages needed a permit during the day?? and the kiosk for paying in the parking lot was out of service). Public bathrooms NOT well marked. Most interesting was Corning hdqtrs building and Little Joe's tower.
A life time of incredible experiences from a home town tourist. The original architecture, like Little Joe's Tower, Centerway Clock Tower and the Barron Steuben Building transport me back to a time before I existed and the industrial revolution was just giving birth to T. Edison's incandescent light bulb and a contract for Corning Glass & Little Joe to go light the world. The old world charm then gives way to fond childhood memories of hot chocolate, dazzling lights piercing the black winter night, and Santa visiting during the Christmas festival, Sparkle. Then I leap forward to the Harvest Festival 2025. The smell of autumns leaves mixing with winters spices, then swirled together with a palpable community spirit is a recipe for life long memory making. So, what is The Gaffer District? The Gaffer District is a living time capsule that transports you back to the industrial revolution but invites you into the ongoing revolution of glass artisans, international restrantours, craft brewers, modern architects, world changers.
Quaint downtown feel, locally owned businesses, interesting and regional merchandise. Lots of breweries and restaurants. Great place to spend the day! Be sure and visit "Finger Lakes Unique" gift shop, features items made by local artists! Great for one-of-a-kind gifts!
Nice city...the Main attraction is Corning glass museum here
Very picturesque tourist shopping strip. There are many glass shops, bakeries, pubs, design shops, ice cream shops, and hair stylists. The cobble sidewalks are lined with hanging flower baskets and many benches. A beautiful walk even when the shops are closed.
Lots of fun little shops and restaurants on a cute and well groomed street. I really enjoyed walking around here!
Such a beautiful town.

There were people there today (11.09.24) recreating the Revolutionary War era. It was very informative. The volunteers were great!
I went with my son's class on a field trip to Heritage Village, and it was super cute. Everyone who works there was incredibly friendly and great with the kids. I've lived in the area all my life and didn't know it was there. I would completely recommend scheduling a tour if you like history at all.
The staff was incredible! They are closed on Fridays these days, with only the office staff on property. One of the folks still went out and unlocked some buildings for us, even though they were closed! It was a fantastic experience.
So I am a total history nut, this place BLEW ME AWAY. I was raised in New England in CT which is rife with history, I used to think Mystic Village was awesome... Nah this place... Wow they moved all these houses that are breathtaking to this little authentic village, you get to see them in the middle of creating items to the time, like the iron Smith, there was a lady on a loom, farm animals we were there for close to 6 hours and still didn't experience everything! And the gardens... My goodness...the people were all super friendly and they were sooo patient and informative! Absolutely not a wasted trip!
We had a wonderful group tour! Our Docent was very knowledgeable and made the historic village come alive. Wonderful place for adults and children to visit.
What an amazing place! So much history and interesting stories as told by the docents and volunteers. In all honesty, I had driven by and never quite known what it was. But I am so glad it caught my eye on the day it did and I ventured in. It's definitely a very worthwhile stop in the town of Corning along the likes of the Corning museum and the Rockwell museum.
Its rather small museum. A little disappointed since its was not open while we were there. I can only hope there is highlight with the narrative.
Awesome!! I went there for a ghost hunt. Friendly and fun. We heard from ghosts!!!

I was visiting Corning during the last weekend and caught up on a show of “maleficent” movie here. This place proved to be a perfect spot to relax and enjoy. The staff is great and they made sure that all the customers had a great experience - from serving warm snacks to keeping the theater clean, the small yet lovely team ensures you are all smiles the entire time that you’re there. Shout out to Mackenzie and Sam for being so good at their jobs - I would highly recommend watching a show here especially when you are visiting Corning.
I have had the pleasure of doing business with The Corning Palace Theatre and it was nothing short of a wonderful experience. Tiffany is an amazing business owner and a complete work horse. The theatre radiates a lot of character and it is due to the people that manage it, and work there. Thanks for the great experience
We always go to this theatre. Very reasonable and staff has always been super friendly. When you can get a large popcorn, drink and a candy for $15 with free refills (1) that’s a affordable deal for families.
Palace Theater is a charming, hometown theater. The staff is friendly, and there is a great variety of concessions. The seating is comfortable, and the theater is clean. I love the options to rent the space - birthday parties or private screenings. You can watch a movie that they have or bring in your own. We always enjoy our experience there!!
Absolutely loved our experiences at The Palace Theatre in Corning! It's such a family-friendly venue. Every visit for a movie has been fantastic, thanks to the top-notch staff and great films. We even hosted our daughter's birthday party there, and it was a blast! A fun and unique way to celebrate for any child. I highly recommend The Palace Theatre for both movie nights and special occasions!
My boys and I love this theater. It’s clean with a great atmosphere. I had my son’s 6th birthday party here and everyone had a great time. It was reasonably priced and everything was set up perfectly for the kids to enjoy.
Love the Palace Theater! The owner and staff are amazing! They have everything thing you need for your movie, are quick so you do not miss anything, and is very family friendly! I love going there to watch a new movie!
Limited open door. Though the theater was nice inside, even had a small TV dinner like table to use.

Absolute gem in Corning! Owner is so kind, she will help you experience the art to its fullest while giving you the privacy and freedom to truly enjoy on your own. Great small business. So worth the stop. Ask Jesse about the Meyer Art with 3D 👓
Wonderful gallery space. One of the best I’ve visited. Friendly, inviting atmosphere and people. And of course some very talented artists on display. Will definitely visit again when in Corning.
I wandered into the West End Gallery while walking through town on a visit and I was immediately blown away. The gallery was full of a vast variety of different artists and mediums with plenty to look at at every turn. The atmosphere was warm and inviting (which isn’t always typical of galleries) and the staff, Jesse and Lin were very welcoming and wonderfully personable. Even if you are only looking, this place is absolutely worth a stop. It’s also family owned and operated which is a huge plus in my book. Thank you again for the warm welcome ladies! You truly made my experience in the town one to remember. “Enjoy the rest of your adventure” will definitely stick with me.
Unfortunately, I have not yet had the pleasure of visiting West End Gallery. Hopefully, post-pandemic, I will be able to do so! I found West End through one of their amazingly talented artists a few years ago and I have been following them on Facebook and Twitter ever since. Recently, all of the pieces fell onto place for me to finally acquire an original painting by that artist, which meant purchasing through West End. For anyone thinking about a long-distance transaction like, please do! I contacted the gallery about my interest via email and they sent me photos of the entire exhibit the painting I was interested in was in, as displayed in the gallery. The purchase process was easy, just call them. I corresponded with Lin via email inquiries and Jesse on the phone to finalize purchase. They were both very helpful and very friendly and pleasant to deal and communicate with. Very prompt with communications, and they genuinely care about the piece you're interested in, the artist that created it, and you and your experience. I completed my purchase ona Friday, they shipped it the following Monday (to avoid any languishing in a distribution center where the risk of exposure to who knows what damage could occur), and I received the painting two days later. The care in wrapping, padding, and boxing was clearly evident and very much appreciated! It arrived in pristine condition and was absolutely perfect and beautiful! It was a real treat and a real pleasure. I can't wait until we will finally be able to visit and see their exhibits in person.
This gallery is perfect for us. We know what we like, but not a lot about art. Jesse and Lin are very helpful and informative. We've purchased several pieces and enjoy them very much. Anyone will enjoy a visit here.
Jesse was really lovely and patiently helped us find a painting that we are very excited about her. The shop is beautiful and well-curated.
Best gallery in Corning. All local artists, a mixture of painting, ceramics, and glass. Jesse and Linda are incredible and can tell you all about the artists and their work. Simply the best!
Wonderful local arts and a great staff! Disclosure: I'm biased and am quite partial to the paintings in which I'm the subject, but that's just my opinion.

Nice little place. Friendly staff. Good beer. Brewery is on-site. Try the coffee brew, it's excellent.
Nice spot to stop for a drink after visiting the glass museum. We tried almost everything on the menu. Dog friendly. Great prices, service, and atmosphere! Thanks.
We stopped here during a road trip, and the bartender was so sweet. She went above and beyond. The beer was so good, and it was the perfect stop for our family. We would definitely come back!
After finishing our visit to the Corning Museum, we came to this brewery. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic about introducing different kinds of beer. I’m from Miami and have a big interest in beer tasting, and I was lucky to meet the owner, who chatted with me and my parents. The bar area was very clean and well-organized, and there’s also outdoor seating in the back. It’s definitely a place worth visiting.
Excellent brewery! Their Pilsner was nice a clean, but the standout for me was the Sweet Potato Stout. Also really enjoyed Hello Darkness, My Old Friend Imperial Stout as well. Great staff that was chatty and fun local vibe in this place!
Good beers, great place, nice employees. Loved the selection of beers. A bit small inside but accommodating to our group of 6. Definitely recommend. Worth a stop.
Nice place with super friendly service. Cozy, but there is a side room and patio available. Beers are good and flights are available.
Enjoyed our visit! They had a Food truck and a band while we were there! Nice spot to hangout out back. Double IPA was delicious!

I didn't have a chance to say a prayer the last time we visited as it was closed, but the prior time we visited Corning we came in prayed and lit a couple of candles. A beautiful church to be thankful in for all good that the Lord has given you.
This beautiful classical church 💒 adorned with the memorizing and deep thought (prayer) embracing stained glass windows, pillars and arches and statues is the stunning setting for Sacraments. Blessed by the arrival of Fr. Walter a few years ago, this Parish has found its re-awakening. He has gently led us to and through valleys of the previous few years. His warmth, spiritual guidance and approachable intellectual is the trilogy that not only fills the parking for the succinct 35-min weekday noon and full Sat 5pm Masses but also the hearts of those ages 100 days to 100 years. 🙏 Please care for yourself in only the way that Spiritual Care can ease and inspire you at St.Marys, join us in song, prayer, thought and comminty. Come early to enjoy reflection and find a seat. See you there.
Beautiful historic building overlooking the town of Corning.
The Father is a motivational speaker and captures the audience with his eloquent speech to teach his patrons to be close to Jesus
Very beautiful Church and a Beautiful mass
A beneficiary of the unfortunate need for consolidation. Beautiful church both in and out. Welcoming congregation. Parking can be an issue. We parked on the street.
Beautiful, traditional church! I came to Sunday Mass while visiting friends who are parishioners here. The priest's homily was excellent and thought-provoking, and the entire Mass was very reverent and conductive to prayer. Looking forward to coming back on future visits to the area!
Wasn't expecting a Tridentine Mass when we went. Definitely a different experience. Was not thrilled that the priest and deacon did not sanitize their hands and wears masks to give out communion, especially since the priest had his fingers in his mouth when he received and then gave communion to the deacon on the deacon's tongue. If the priest had been the one to give me communion I would not have received.

The owner was so welcoming helpful. Loved that he struck up a conversation with me around the items I was interested in and was extremely knowledgeable. Even if you don't find something that you are looking for, the conversation with him is a great takeaway. Plenty of trinkets to look at and some larger items as well. Can't wait to visit again soon!!
It was ok. I’m sure if I was going to learn how to make stained glass this would be a great place to learn.
Great little shop to visit. Joe has a nice selection of glass and accessories. Prices are very reasonable. If you would like to learn the art of stained glass stop in and sign up for a class.
This place is great! And the owner (Joe) is unbelievably accomodating and so helpful. I HIGHLY recommend doing your business here.
Loved the place. Great selection of stained glass sheets and Deb was very helpful and cordi

Iconic riverside tower once used to draw glass for making thermometers, now an industry monument.
Slide 1 of 8
"Little Joe" Thermometer Tube Draw Tower Little Joe draw tower The old thermometer-tubing draw tower stands as a monument to Corning's technology leadership. When built in 1919 the tower replesented a great step forward in tubing production technology-the vertical draw. Before Corning introduced the patented vertical draw, tubing was made on the factory floor. First a gather of glass was shaped into a cylinder, which was then stretched horizontally between two workmen as they backed away from each other. The last tubing was drawn in the tower in June 1973. The 185-foot tower is now restored and preserved as a historical landmark. The blue gaffer symbol painted at the top is affectionately known as Little Joe. Gaffer Symbol The Little Joe gaffer symbol dates back to 1880. It was taken from a sketch made by an itinerant painter who visited a glass factory in Pittsburgh. The symbol has undergone a series of graphic modifications, and today is a Corning trademark. The vertical draw process revolutionized the production of Prior to the draw tower innovation, thermometer tubing was made by hand. The Little Joe tower is a familiar landmark to visitors and Cornina. N.Y Since its origin in 1851, Corning has been renowned for its expertise in glass technology. One of the company's earliest products was thermometer tubing, which was hand-drawn for many years. In 1897, Corning patented a vertical tube-drawing process, beginning a series of innovations that would drive thermometer tubing sales to more than S2 million by 1968. Over the years, Corning has manufactured many drawn-glass products, including neon tubing, electronic component tubing, and its current flagship product: optical fiber. In 1954, Corning employees produced the largest piece of thermometer tubing ever made. Corning still makes drawn-glass Products, Including optical fiber for telecommunications.
One of the best historical attractions in Painted Post. We went on a weekend and it was less crowded.
The tower actually used for making glass tubes by pulling up melted glass to the very top of the tower.
Icon of Corning, seen from most of the city. Be sure to walk over to the base. There is a sculpture of a person blowing glass, that is also worth seeing.
A nice little spot with a history of this tower. It’s too bad you can’t go up it. It has been that way since 1973 since they stopped blowing glass up there. But it is still cool to look up at and marvel about. There is also a statue of Little Joe himself which adds a nice touch to the park.
A landmark for Corning right next to the Corning Head Quarter. It was part of the old factory that occupied the area. Build in 1912 to draw long glass tube vertically (part of reason why it's so tall and slim.). There is a status near the tower and a memorial plate on the base. The walkway around is part of the walkway around the whole head quarter grounds. If you have time to go on the other side of the river bank, you can see a different view with the white tower stand out from the hills on the background. By the way, the front gate structure leading to the Corning head quarter building has it unique Mosaic inside its under-Archie. Worth to walk over and take look. Picture yourself before it with the building at the back also worth a peek.
A nice little park describing the history of the vertical glass drawing tower.
It's literally just a white tower looming over downtown Corning, but it has a great deal of local significance and ties into the region's history as a pioneer in quality glass manufacturing. If you get up close, you'll find some nice statues and info at the base. Note that you cannot actually enter the tower. (Though it was never meant for that purpose anyway.)

I bought a bottle of their Crystal City Vodka at the WNY sportsman show in Hamburg NY. I open it tonight to mix with cranberry juice and to my surprise it is gin. Too bad I now have. $30 bottle of gin that I do not like! Buyer beware!
I had a great visit here. The bar tenders were friendly and funny. It was truly enjoyable sipping craft whisky while snaking on goldfish and playing super Mario cart. Does it get any better? Great bourbon and friendly staff especially since we were from out of town. A Nintendo doesn’t hurt to have either...

An incredible distillery. Fantastic details shared about the process of creating their spirits and an outstanding sampling experience. Four Fights shows how classic tastes and new flavor elements can be merged to create an experience that's warmly familiar yet satisfyingly unique.
A nice little place for something a little different. Their vodkas were surprisingly good! The staff was informative and knowledgeable.
