I wish I could give this place a proper review. There are gardens here, many hiking trails, as well as the dramatic rocky coastline. People come here during the worst winter storms to watch waves smash against the rocks, generating 50-foot spray. The way the rock outcroppings in the water are situated, they are basically ramps to allow the big waves to smash and get launched in the air. The day we came was very calm, but I could imagine just how incredible it would be to see this during a big swell. The geology of this area is very interesting, hard volcanic rocks and formations are embedded in softer sandstone, so there is this interesting contrast and strange growth patterns to the rock. It was something unlike I've seen before along the coast. Very cool, fun to explore. Unfortunately we didn't spend much time further inland where the trails are or the gardens, but they are supposed to be amazing, and very well kept. We'll have to come back someday and explore more of what this park has to offer!
This state park offers scenery so stunning it’s hard to put into words, along with top-notch infrastructure. One important note—dogs are not allowed here, so if you want to explore the gardens and coastal views, you’ll need to leave them briefly in the car. The sight of waves crashing against seaside rocks, the mist rising from the surf, and the sound of the ocean create a mesmerizing atmosphere. The walking path overlooking this scene winds through wide, open lawns that feel both beautiful and majestic. Just when you think the view can’t get any better, the trail leads you to an unexpectedly charming botanical garden. After spending time there, I browsed the gift shop and wrapped up the visit. I absolutely plan to return in another season—and this is a must-visit destination I wholeheartedly recommend.
Nice state park off the 101. We spent about an hour here walking trails, exploring the beautiful botanical gardens and admiring views of the nearby ocean. We went to the overlook and observation building. Restrooms were clean and tidy and there was plenty of parking. Saw birds and deer (a doe and two fawn).
It’s been on my bucket list to visit Shore Acres State Park during King Tides.. and I finally got to! It was a beautiful sunny day, but even with that, the waves were super impressive. Could only imagine the wave action when it’s stormy! There are plenty of little paths to take and explore, other than the view points most people stand by to get photos, a gift shop with great items and nice people working in it, and even a botanical garden. We spent a few hours here total, but can’t wait to go back again. Thank you for having us. 🌊🥰🫶🏼
What a gem of a place Shore Acres is. It was so beautiful but also quiet today (since we got there quite early). The rhododendrons are in full bloom but the roses are just budding. Will have to come back when they’re fully bloomed. Still. Just a magnificent Oregon State Park. Love that it’s so close to the ocean. Just up the way there was a great viewing area for pupping harbor seals, elephant seals, and sea lions. Today the water was particularly blue.
Wow, I didn’t realize such a beautiful place existed on this part of the Oregon coast. What an amazing garden, and the view from the viewpoint is stunning. And for the most part, a person in a wheelchair can traverse the grounds, though some of the trails have a good deal of tree roots. Even the $10 entrance fee shouldn’t deter someone from seeing this place - it’s that good!
Wonderful gardens and gift shop/ visitors center at Shore alAcees State Park. The gardens can be enjoyed in a leasurely half hour stroll and include many types of flowers and plants, there is also a Japanese style pond with Koi fish. The gift shop has a large selection of souvenirs. Fee to enter is $10 per vehicle but is well worth it.
Well kept grounds, interesting flower variations and the pond is picturesque. I also enjoy the rose garden and the short hike to Simpson Beach

Great place to hike. Love the views. The road is closed going farther into the park because of erosion under the road but should be fixed in a month or so. You can still get to the other parts of the park by foot. I recommend walking on the road on your way back for a faster trip back.
This is a pretty awesome State Park. There's a variety of areas that you can actually visit. The State Park itself is where the beach is at and it has a variety of picnic tables as well as fire pits even and a restroom. But further up along the drive, there's actually a few different viewpoints where depending on the day and the time you can find people at telescopes who are watching sea lions, otters and other variety of sea lions creatures. It's incredible to see the amount of sea lions that were there. I was amazed to see that many. Further up along the drive you'll reach the end point which is a huge scenic area. As you can see from some of the pictures that I uploaded, there's quite a few here. There's a nice walking area around to look at that lets you really capture in the breath of God's creation there. Honestly, if I'm ever in the area I will come back here again as it's an easily accessible Beach wasn't too crowded and has some great views over the next time I come though it won't be as windy.
Nice little stop! Picnic tables under shade trees and lots of seals out on the distant rocks! You can hear them before you see them! Short walk out to the end of the point and views off of each side!
One of the most beautiful Oregon coast experiences. From the drive in to the views at the point. You can't get to the ocean at the point but you can at the day use and campground area. There is also the gardens that have views and amazing gardens.
There are actually several named State Parks in this part of Coos Bay, for whatever reason. Cape Arago is the southern end of the Parks. We didn't hike any of the trails that went inland, and stuck mostly to the immediate shoreline. Most of this area is a hundred feet or more above the water, so getting down to the shore usually requires hiking down relatively steep, but short trails. The views from the main parking area are nice, but there isn't a whole lot to see. We did climb down one of the steep sandstone cliffs to get a bit closer to the water but not all the way down. A few people have made up their own trails down, but obviously these are not maintained or sanctioned. A quick stop if you're doing a driving tour of the area.
Great place to watch the ocean. Rugged cliffs and rocks. Sea lions off in the distance
Gardens are very impressive and the rocks off the cliff face are breathtaking. Has some cool history about the family.
beautiful views. lots of seals and cool tide pools. great picnic area. lots of tables around.

This place was amazing. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place for you! Along with delicious fudge and chocolates they have many delicious flavors of Carmel corn. Salted caramel cheesecake and frosted cinnamon bun is awesome! So much to choose from. They also have viewing windows to see the candy being made! I loved this place!
There were so many options and lots of taste tests. The wonderful lady who helped us at the counter was absolutely amazing. She had dark hair. She helped us with options and ideas that we definitely needed. She made our experience. Unfortunately, we did not get her name, but we won't forget her customer service. I've been in the area a few times and never stopped by, I'm so glad I finally got the chance to. Busiest place in town. I've added the photo of the sasquatch that we bought. I guess it was the last one and is so cute. Thank you!!
I see this place and it looks unassuming. Finally decided to go in and so glad I did. Super cute inside. The nicest staff. Delicious goodies. So many free tastings!
Kind of out of the way but definitely worth the drive. Samples everywhere and if there was something you wanted to try, just ask and they gave you a sample. Delicious chili late. The Big Foot was very tasty. Yummy popcorn with 10+ varieties. And did I mention tons of samples!
This is a store for everyone! Wide selection of sweets, some of them a bit weird, but that's the point. Super cute store, nice ladies helping us out. Definitely recommend this gem.
Great customer service. The ladies behind the counter are friendly and make you feel very comfortable. They encourage you to test their sampled products which are super yummy!
Absolutely a sweet tooth heaven. I miss not being able to sample things that I don't know if I'll like, however, I also know what I do like so... No problems there. They do give pre packaged samples at check out though. Love this place. I'm from Eugene and I visit every time I'm in the area. Chocolate lovers paradise!
There were a lot of tasty treats to choose from. Plenty of options from taffy to chocolate and jelly beans. I think everyone in the family could find something to enjoy. The production is right in back of the store. It would be fun to see them work through the windows but we went in on Sunday when they weren't making anything.

This place has a great location and is right across from the bay. Centrally located to just about everything you need grocery, coffee, restaurant and the sand dunes are only 8 minutes away. Hotel is pretty nice for its age. Rooms have a strong chemical smell but they are clean, comfortable and roomy It can get startlingly loud with people walking up and down the stairs and a lung the outdoor corridor. Also some rooms are fairly close to the main road so you can hear traffic noise. Seems to be pet friendly and I did not have any issues. The staff are super friendly and attentive to needs. I would/will stay here again.🇺🇲🇺🇲
The sheets and towels were clean, you could tell the floor wasn’t cleaned or vacuumed. The shower looked like it wasn’t scrubbed in a long time, it had a ring around the tub, there was hair all over the floor and in the closet. There was a period when the tv remote didn’t work either. The breakfast was as good as expected, they had the typical waffle bar, apple juice, orange juice and cranberry juice machine and hot food. The hot food served was eggs and sausage. We arrived at midnight and the staff was always kind. The stay was great besides the room not being the most clean.
I don’t recommend anyone stay here unless you wanna get your stuff stolen from you. I’m a traveling nurse and there was a group of us nurses staying there, And at some point when I was gone, they came in to clean my room, and I very quickly noticed that many of my things were missing. My $3000 Louis Vuitton shoes were missing and also a bunch of makeup was missing out of my make up box along with some of my clothes. Before I left, the cleaning lady came in as I was leaving, and I wasn’t gone long and she was Cleaning a couple of the rooms next to me when I got back so I know my stuff was not missing before she came in and clean the room. She didn’t even take the time to make it look like she didn’t take anything, Didn’t even bother closing my suitcase and putting everything back so I wouldn’t be suspicious. Everything was thrown around, Nothing was the way that I left it. I’m a very neat and tidy person. But I will say I was suspicious of the lady at the front desk because when I brought it to her attention, she was very confrontational and rude would not give me any corporate number to call management number, Wouldn’t give me any numbers to call to complain to. If I had to put a number on it, I would say over $5000 worth of my things were missing, And if you go read the reviews, there are several if not over dozens of bad reviews with people saying this has happened to them as well. I did not read the reviews before I stayed at this hotel. That’s my fault, I should’ve done my research. Not only where my things stolen, but the hotel is very old musky, almost like a moldy smell. Not up-to-date on anything you can tell, just by walking in that they have not taken any action to update their hotel. Now that I think back on it, I should’ve called the police, but I’m not from the area and was leaving that same day, So I did not take the action that I should’ve during that time, that is also my fault. But Nobody wants their Belonging stolen when staying at a hotel ,that should not be a fear or a worry when you are paying a lot of money to stay somewhere. I normally don’t write any bad reviews, even if I’ve had a bad experience, but I want to warn others to be careful and staying at this place. It was absolutely disgusting the way that the staff treated their guests. Again, the lady at the front desk was absolutely rude and horrible and she made it seem as if she was above me and me complaining to her was not even worth her time. Probably because she’s heard it before many times and doesn’t want to deal with it , Which it made me even more suspicious of her because If there’s a thief in her staff, you would think she would be concerned. So again, please be careful staying here. There were items I had still on that were not replaceable. I hope this hotel will actually take the time to consider their customers and also hire staff that are not stuck up rude people. I’ve stayed in probably almost 100 or even more hotels in the last 15 years for work being a traveling nurse, And I can honestly say this is the worst experience I have ever had….
I had ants come into my room. There was peanut shells and food crumbs behind the TV stand and a spider. The bathroom door was very difficult to close. The bath water took 5 to 8 minutes to warm up. And the screens for the AC unit was very dirty! Was not my best experience
The beds are pretty firm, if you have a bad back it might help your sleep. Bring extra pillows the ones they offer go completely flat and will wake up with a stiff neck. You are close to an airport which can be very busy at night. Kind of hard to find the entrance to because it's hidden behind a coffee stand next to a taco bell.
The owner of the hotel has clearly taken steps to make the hotel look nice the exterior of the hotel is clean and the rooms were "updated" partially. Buy partially I mean the carpet was removed and replaced with vinyl flooring and the walls were painted over (not repaired just painted) the cleaning staff has took the effort to make sure everything is clean this is why they got two stars instead of one The reason for the less than stellar review is the manager she is appalling I listened to her on the phone talk horribly to a potential customer when she hung up she said "I hate third-party travel agents they're so pushy" right in front of customers. My entire check-in took over an hour. The person who was helping me was quite good and showed good customer service but was slowed at every turn by the manager's incompetence. Once in the room it was clearly clean I don't know what they did to the bathroom but the tiles have a permanent stain, and other than the new hard floor in the room everything just looks meh.
Be aware! I reserve and paid a room $113 on 06/13/25 for 12/24/25 and I accidentally cancelled it on 08/11/25. I spoke to the manager Donna and she would not refund or add our reservation back in the book. I would understand if it's within 24 hours but I reserve it 6 months a head and it's only August. I even explained to her that I am a single parent who work 6 days a week and can't afford another hotel to see our family for Christmas. She said this happens all the time and absolutely no remorse. I believe in Karma and you should be ashamed of yourself
AC in the room didn't work. Wasn't blowing cold. Light stands have rust on them. You can tell they threw a coat of paint on the walls and a new floor. The room feels and smells very humid. The nose tissues had a musty smell and felt moist. I would have rather driven a couple hours for a better experience. Guy at the front desk was nice.

Stopped while waiting for car was at Samuel's Chicken fried steak I'm still eating on it
Just noticed the Casino charged $3.00 for a balance inquiry. I didn't ask for. And $3.00 atm withdraw charge. That is plain crooked tribal, crooked fix this!!! Do not use ATM at tribe. They set their own rules for fees. Be aware!!! You try to retrieve funds it ask if you want a balance, you choose no, then withdraw funds. It charges you twice. Crooked!!!
Will always remember the staff as kind and in the past I had great experiences. Recently I came to the casino and now there are only a bunch of cheaper, high-volatility machines. Everyone I spoke with the night I was there were winning nothing. All the older machines my friends and I used to play were gone. Regrettably I won’t be back. Too bad. I think the Tribe should take a good look at what they’re actually doing here by in my opinion, cutting corners. Not impressed.
Three Rivers casinos food is close to the same price as you would at a fast food restaurant. Great menu! Including chicken, fried steak pizz and much more. Kickback atmosphere a very friendly staff And yes, a full service bar. Enjoy!
Don't go... Worthless ripoff of a place. Not a single ticket cashed out to anyone out entire visit.... On the take completely...
I had to eat, skipped lunch as STARVING!! Idk why or how but the people here in the cafe 1297 are SO kind and the food is great ! Thanks!! Sarah and Branden were my servers !!
Love the tater tots burgers good but I ask for well done to borderline burnt and was still pink in the middle so just ate around the edge
Today my friend and I ate at the 1297 restaurant or cafe at the Three Rivers casino we both had the ribeye steak dinner I'm just surprised for the price that you get a little skinny piece of meat that doesn't even represent a ribeye I was thoroughly disappointed The flavor was good but the cut of meat was just ridiculous for the price I have ate there before and the food is always been really good I'll never order the ribeye again It is really not worth the price.

This was such a neat experience with a super reasonable admission fee! We were visiting from out of town and decided to stop in to kill time, and we left feeling super impressed! Also had a very neat gift shop to check out.
It's a nice museum with some cool information and displays about Coos Bay history.. it's a bummer that they don't allow video recording and the price is a little high for adults for a small museum.. I was a little disappointed in the lack of information and displays of the Native American tribes that were here for thousands of years before..
So interesting, and the personal tour at the beginning is very educational. A beautiful facility. We loved it!
It was $25 for 2 adults and one child. The place was small and just didn't have as much as we were anticipating. When we walked in, we were greeted by a gay pride and transgender flag. There was also gay propaganda outside the bathrooms marked 21 and over. We are not planning to return.
I walked in thinking, “Alright, cool, let’s explore a bit,” but the moment I stepped inside, it felt like I’d dropped into some kind of time-travel side mission. The place has this quiet energy—like the walls are whispering stories if you just stop and pay attention. Every room pulled me in deeper. Old photos, artifacts, pieces of people’s lives… it all hits different when you’re standing in front of it. I got that feeling I love—the one where curiosity takes over and suddenly you’re wandering around wide-eyed, trying to soak everything in at once. There were moments that made me kinda pause emotionally too. Seeing how people lived, worked, fought through rough stuff… it made me feel connected in a way I didn’t expect from a museum visit. It’s like you walk in just wanting to explore, and you walk out carrying something meaningful with you. The staff were awesome—super kind, super passionate. You could tell they care about the history they're sharing, and that energy rubs off. Makes you want to learn more, stay longer, just keep exploring. When I left, I had this weird but good mix of excitement and calm, like my brain was buzzing but my heart was grounded. It’s the kind of place that reminds you how much story there is in the world—way more than we notice running around in everyday life. If you love exploring, discovering hidden stories, or just getting lost in a different time for a while, Coos History Museum is absolutely worth the trip. It’s not just a museum—it’s an experience that sticks with you.
The children are free and adults are only $7. We learned so much about Coos Bay history.
Spent a fun few hours here. Recommend it to learn of local history.

Just a gorgeous museum. The museum has many rotating shows.kind and helpful workers there to help with any questions.they also offer art classes, for those interested. Another feature that is great is the rental sales gallery where people may rent original paintings for a good price.below are examples of paintings done by an artist known as Earl Hamilton. It's a great place for families and children to enjoy. Stop by and enjoy while your vacationing through.
Two rooms being remodelled, so discounted entry. But to be honest, even though the wood carvings were ace, and I appreciated the exhibit honouring a local athletic hero, Steve Prefontaine, the rest was underwhelming. Hopefully, the two closed rooms are good enough to lift the experience. Value for money was ace, only $3.50 due to the exhibition remodel. Worth that to support the arts.
My family enjoyed it they were from out of country ,currently a lot of the expedition was closed due to remodeling it was a nice place to visit and would recommend it when they have the rest of the exhibits open they are giving a discount currently because of limited things being shown. Staff was very helpful in getting other things that I needed
As a runner from middle school through college, I was thrilled to see Steve Prefontaine's memorial. The curator of the museum was extremely nice; and he informed me I barely missed talking to Pre's sister. I was honored to discover I was at one time in the same room as her. Until next time.
The Coos Art Museum is a very nice Museum. The building is clean and well maintained. There are several restrooms in the building. There is a fee but it is very minimal. Most of the artwork is for sale and there are binders showing the prices. The staff is very friendly. I did not see any handicapped parking in front of the building but there is a ramp to the front door and there is an elevator to the second floor. The entrance door does have a button to open the door.. The first floor art rooms are wide open and plenty of open space. The second floor rooms have doors that are not automatic and could be problematic for handicapped visitors. It is a very nice art museum and worth a visit when visiting Coos Bay Oregon.
Came to Coos Bay on a Monday to see the Prefontaine sites. Museum was closed but someone let me in the backdoor to see the Prefontaine room. Don't miss it if you are here for him. Lots of memorabilia you can't see anywhere else! Didn't see the rest of the art museum but it seemed nice
Absolutely fantastic venue, art and staff! So thrilled at the programs put on by the Coos Art Museum.

It was one of the most amazing experiences. This historical building is still running and managed by the good people of Coos County. We went to the Elf show with Santa, and it was amazing. If you're in town, please take the time to see this historical building and support the community.
I love the Egyptian theater. It's nostalgic for me. I wish they had more events like tonight's circus of "horror" or concerts or comedy. I know they do, but more & better. Tonight was entertaining but not really horror themed. & for some reason, there was the odor of pee a waft in the air amongst the popcorn.
We had a fantastic time watching a Star Trek movie here! The seats were incredibly comfortable, the screen was crystal clear, and the entire atmosphere felt delightfully nostalgic. The decor is full of character — from the intricate snake door handles to the towering Egyptian statues, every detail adds to the charm. The staff were all genuinely kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. And the best part? Tickets were only $5 — such an amazing deal for a great movie night!
This place is an amazing old theater!! Just a beautiful place!! Had the opportunity to watch Raiders of the lost ark!! ❤️ it was an amazing experience!! I have never seen this old movie on the big screen and boy was it awesome!! 😳 my husband grew up going to the movies here!! It was a very cool experience!! 😎 They have done a nice job with the renovation. If you like old buildings and want to support keeping this old place alive. I cannot suggest it enough!! Tickets price and popcorn was very reasonably priced!! Totally worth it!!
It was our first time in this historical building, so I was excited. We watch the circus on ice our kids. Popcorn was cold, but my kiddo didn't complain.
The Egyptian Theatre in Coos Bay, OR is a wonderful cultural gem that is not to be missed. The theatre's historic facade and stunning interior transport you back in time to the golden age of cinema. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making for a great movie-going experience. The theatre offers a diverse selection of films, from independent to mainstream, as well as special events like concerts and live performances. The seats are comfortable and the sound quality is excellent. Overall, the Egyptian Theatre is a must-visit destination for any film lover or anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience.
Excellent rehabilitated old theater. Fully operated by volunteers, too!
I have been to the theater a couple of times and it's nice and I've had a pleasant experience. However, last I was there for a work meeting, the person behind the counter was so disrespectful and rude that I don't know that I'll go back again. My understanding is that they're volunteers, if that's so they shouldn't be if they can't be respectful to the people that are coming to the establishment. Again, this will sway me from ever going in that establishment again.

The window displays don’t do it justice so definitely go inside. This place is huge, like two floors the size of a grocery store and full of goodies. The majority of the offerings are vintage or antiques mixed in with some reproduction and handmade items. Prices are in line with vintage malls versus antique stores. Displays are nice and the clerk is very friendly and she wrapped up my purchases nicely. I found lots of great stuff and I would shop here again! Good to know: *Street parking *Credit cards accepted *Stairs required to access the upper level might be an issue for customers with mobility issues. Not sure if there’s an alternative to the stairs for access of the top floor.
I absolutely love it when I can get a chance to sneak away into the intoxicating land of treasures! Such a huge selection of tastes and varieties! Good way to end up refurbishing a room! With the sister store next door there’s even more room to enjoy it!
Absolutely loved this shop! So many amazing vendors. Great prices. Something for everyone. Definitely check it out!!!
The moment we walked through the door we were greeted with a smile from the counter even though the counter was swarming with customers. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Help you locate what you are looking for and if you can't find it they give you good ideas of places to check. The item I was trying to find, they had one side of and the lady that helped me gave me a list of other locations from Astoria to Portland that carried similar items. Very good experience. It was really neat to see all the different types of products they carried. Many from my childhood.
April is very friendly. The shop is a must stop destination for the vintage and antique lover! There are amazing things from many different vendors. Great place for unique farmhouse, coastal farmhouse, shabby chic, vintage, rustic, primitive as well as true quality selection of antiques. I was pleasantly surprised to see the most remarkable antique bidet. (Chamber pot) in pristine condition among the unique finds there! It's as easy stop when going through Coos Bay, as it sits right along 101. Parking was easy. The quality of upcycled and hand made items give you an in-store feeling that you miss on Etsy. Found a vintage pyrex bowl just like the one Grandma had. PS... whoever's purchases the antique buggy upstairs is going to be VERY lucky indeed! As an artist, it's great to find places where you could see yourself selling your items there. Cannot wait until we get into the new place so I can make our house a home with the great finds there. Kudos!
Amazing little spot to kill time and buy something you must have! Very cool little store!
I absolutely adore this place! It is very well set-up, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and I'm always excited to walk around and see what treasures I can find! Definitely stop by here if you're local or visiting the area!
Very nice vintage mall where we bought some cool rusty gold and some great ideas for projects

Great to see the local legend immortalized this way. When there, check out the very cool bicycle racks of a persons legs running
5 stars for Pre. The murals are large and beautiful. Definitely worth taking a photo with. Nothing else there but the murals; multiple Coo's Bay souvenir shops right there but no Pre souvenirs.
Beautiful mural that honored a hometown hero and an inspirational runner. I highly recommend seeing this.

Super cool local place! Me and husband stopped by after grabbing a bite to eat nearby and had fun crawling through all the trains. There was a little boy and his grandma having a blast playing in one of the engines too!
The train museum was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved exploring all the train cars and ringing the bell. Staff also recommended other places to take the kids in the area! Definitely would recommend seeing the museum!
Love just love Trains, and these are full size, the history is amazing.
My kid and I went yesterday cause it only opens Wednesdays and Saturdays. It was really nice, big trains to see in and out. Don’t miss the opportunity to chat with the friendly staff, they are all volunteers. If you have little kids go to the gift shop, they have many souvenirs about trains and a nice little train track game available for kids to play. Sign the visits book and leave a donation.
We almost missed it so glad we stopped! The trains are in amazing condition. A great look back in time! The museum volunteers are super knowledgeable and friendly!
I have lived here my whole life myself and kiddos went and ate lunch there. It has tables ect. It is so cool!
Neat little railway museum with free admission. They allow you to access the inside of most of the exhibits, which is pretty cool.
Awesome place to go you can even touch certain trains and Bells for your kids to ring also go inside that trange only when there steps to go up to the train and take a look inside and see how they did it back in the old days also check out the gift or very very good prices on their souvenirs and check out the back that's where all the goodies are from back in the day enjoy

An truely amazing museum that rivals larger local history museums in the sheer depth it gives its subject. My wife and I talk about our visit to anyone that will listen. We're in our 30's and got a lot out of our trip
Lionel came down on a day when it was closed with his daughter Allison. They were very gracious and he had lots of local knowledge about the paper and town. Very nice of him and my wife I very much appreciated it. Thanks Lionel and Allison.
This is a wonderfully preserved letterpress print shop. This was the one-man shop of a newspaper — the Marshfield Sun — which was published weekly for over 50 years in Coos Bay. (It was also a general print shop, printing handbills, etc.) All of the original equipment has been preserved — in working order, no less! The museum also has a collection of historic typewriters, as well as a fairly complete research archive of local newspapers. The guide was wonderful: knowledgeable, friendly and interesting. The museum also provides some hands-on demos for children. (I would guess an advance appointment would be called for for that.)
Awesome little time capsule, the man who gave the tour was very friendly and knowledgeable. Upstairs exhibit has archives of old newspapers and vintage typewriters. Loved the demonstrations of the different machinery there!
Saw this museum a few years ago. Excellent tour guide and fascinating bunch of equipment! If you like old machines and history, highly recommended!
I have not been here since I was a kid my pioneer ancestors that first came to Oregon in the mid 1800's owned and operated this print shop as well as operated one of the first sawmills in coos bay I am so lucky to have that as my heritage and I am proud to be a 5th generation Oregonian my other ancestors also came in the late 1800's into the Columbia river Gorge on the wagon trains we need to preserve the history of our great state
Hi. Have you checked your website lately? If not, please do. Theres a gambling website on there.
I had found some vintage newspaper papers in my mom's estate and offered the papers to them for their archives. Old printing press and very friendly.

Very cool place to visit walking through multiple stalls tons of stuff to check out and browse through. Employees were very helpful and nice even after shopping after closing time
Friendly, well organized, amazing eclectic selection. Also, they do gift certificates!
This antique store is pretty cool! There’s nothing like looking through some old decor and seeing a crossbow on the shelf!
Great antique store. Lots of cool things. Also get your chocolate fix here as well. Friendly service.
Super cute and very nice people work there!
Fun antique shop to browse. It was big, with a varied selection of items. My favorite was the gem and mineral cases located to the left of the register, which held an array of nice and very unique stones from a life long collector at extremely fair prices. I was most excited and grateful to purchase several stones.
Wow, what a selection. There is so much to take in. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly making the stop even better.
Absolutely love this place. They had such a huge selection of many different items for reasonable prices. I mainly was so happy to see vinyls, vintage clothing, cassette tapes, and primitive dolls/decor! I was so happy to find specific cassettes I was looking for for awhile now. Definitely will be coming back!

Loved finding this place on our road trip. Tons of options! These ladies can create all your sweet tooth desires. Boba drinks were great! They were willing to try mixing flavors for us. We had samples and pretty much hung out for a bit. Rolled ice cream, boba, chocolates, regular ice cream, toys, candy, popcorn, freeze dried candy, endless options with the kindest service.
Regardless of if you're living in the area or visiting, this place is a must. In addition to some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet, they have the best sweets and treats around. Hands down. They're also pet friendly, so when you do stop by for some of their amazing fudge, made to order drinks or other sweets, don't forget your your furry friend. I can't walk by without mine wanting to stop for his pup cup at least once a day.
This place is awesome. As soon as I hit the door, I could smell my childhood. It's amazing how the aroma can knock off 40 years within a second. It's like I was 7 years old again standing in the middle of Quaker Square in Akron, Ohio, where so many different styles of confectionery were made. It takes a lot for me to recall that at this point in life, but it's instinatinious every time I walk through the store. The store is immaculate, and the staff is amazing, and their products are out of this world. Plus, since it's Christmas time, if you go in, you can get free hot chocolate with marshmallows and sprinkles. It's always a fun time there with my 6 year old son. There's nothing better. I completely get the concept of "Sweet Street." It truly is Sweet. Thank you to all of the staff!
very cute, awesome service, and really good sweet treats! i recommend this to anyone!
We love coming here for a little sweet treat! They are so nice and welcoming, and my son loves the boba
The absolute best boba in coos country as a matter afact it's the best within 100 miles guaranteed and they have so many flavors and so many different options of tapioca for them all so I highly recommend this place
I went to Sweet Street because I had a Sweet Tooth that I had to feed.So I bought a few peaces of Fudge and enjoyed some other samples. The Lady who helped me was kind and the Prices are within reach.
A really cute place enjoyed how the product was merchandised and took home some salt water taffy.
