I’ve had good experiences there. When it’s busy, they have “Live People” to help you - WooHooo! And if you need help betting, go to Joseph. He’s the best. Patient, friendly and helpful.
This is more if a place to watch racing at various race tracks and place bets. We were looking for a diner for a coffee and sandwich. Host was very accommodating. There was a very good restaurant in the same building, but is no longer there. This is located across the street from Cook County Courthouse. Prices were great, but very limited menu.
We arrived to have a good time on sunday before 4 pm. Jan 22. We had cold pot roast nachos with fruit flies flying all around us. We said something so bartender poured a bottle of bleach down drain in front of us. Gagging smell. Left immediately. She could care less. Wanted sunday dinner special. Not with bugs. This was ditkas otb.
Place is very nice but the problem dont have the program or book showing on the tv that. I want to bet maybe im not the only one experiencing this
I hear Patsy Cline singing....I fall to pieces....no soda....no food...it must br AP'$ last year...very sad....it used to be the best destination in the summer
Went out with my mom and wife for the Kentucky Derby, we got there early and had a great time
Amazing sports bar and awesome FOOD! $3 domestic bottles. Can't beat it!

The musical was great. The actors were perfect for their roles. It was a perfect Mother's Day Gift
We saw Grease on the opening day and it was magical! Just an amazing show filled with wonderful acting, singing and oh oh the dancing! I was blown away by the talent and I want to thank them for putting a song in my heart and a skip in my step and taking me out to get absorbed into an amazing story! Loved it ❤️
Visited to see “The Christmas Carol” opening night and I loved every second of it! The lightning, the sound, the intimacy of the crowd… this theatre is one of the good ones! Parking was free for the show (not sure if it’s always like this), around a nice amount of food places in case you want to eat before or after the show, and they even have their own mini bar to get wine or beer during the show (I tried their red wine and it was nice for someone who doesn’t really drink wine!)
Grease cast was fantastic! we ate dinner next door at Mago and walked to the show. Bought a refreshment and headed in. Cozy seating intimate theater. So nice !!
I have been on hundreds of shows, but today actors played like never. Thank you for outstanding performence and art of play. Deeply enjoyed!
I've seen a couple of stage plays at this theater located in Arlington Heights, IL. Friendly service. However, I was ticketed $25 while I was parked in the parking garage, behind the theater for taking up multiple parks..??🤦‍♀ I unknowingly parked over my "parking space line by a smidgen!" So, be on alert if you park there.🙄
We hadn't been to this theater in a long while and pleased to see how new and updated it was. Perfect venue with no 'bad' seats. Located in the heart of the downtown restaurant district can make for a great night out.
Cozy and quaint. Have gone to couple shows there so far and really had a great time. Looking forward to the next few that we have purchased tickets.

Beautiful! The path around has 2 lanes, one walking and one biking. No dogs allowed seems harsh, but I see rabbits and smaller birds regularly. Never seen geese more calm when I walked by in my life. No dogs allowed, which I appreciate, And I love pups! There are benches spaced well along the path to take a moment and take in the view. The front is right off of a main street but so far has never been very noisy. Such a gem to me!
Calm, serene and beautiful. Good for family with playground, fitness area, sensory garden. You can spot a variety of birds if you love bird watching and do fishing as well. It also has a 2 mile walk and cycling path around the lake.
Love this place. First time there today. Very nice walking trail, beautiful scenery, they even have a small workout spot which I found very unique as I havent seen that anywhere before. There are multiple things you can rent to go on the water which is awesome. No swimming is permitted though. They do have a park for the little ones as well as a concession center for your refreshments. Will definitely be back.
Had a visit after a while and absolutely loved it. The walking trail is peaceful with beautiful views all around. There’s even a small outdoor workout area, which I thought was such a cool touch I haven’t seen that at other parks. You can rent different kinds of gear to go out on the water, which adds to the fun, though swimming isn’t allowed. There’s also a nice playground for kids and a concession stand for snacks and drinks.
We often enjoy walking around the lake. It is beautiful and peaceful.
Beautiful place to go with family or friends. I rented a Kayak and I just had a great experience down there. Nice spot for picnics.
Love the 2 mile track and the availability of washrooms. It's well kept and the water gives it a tranquil vibe. There's a walking/running lane and a separate bike lane. There's a playground for the kiddos as well. It's beautiful during the fall as the many changing leaves occur. I just wish there were solar lights of some kind for the evening walks as one side gets very dark. It's not so bad on the side where the houses are. Love seeing people go on walks during the late afternoon into early evenings.
This is an amazing community resource! Beautiful 2 mile waking/biking path around the lake. Lots of birds, ducks and turtles. Great fishing spots on the shore or at the dock. Reasonably priced paddle boat rentals. The Boat House is open 10am to 6pm and has concessions and bathrooms too. Fantastic new playground with something for all ages. Adult workout equipment too. Opened August 2018.

Wonderful venue. Well laid out and plenty of room. Some areas still closed, but betting machines were well spaced and convenient. Beautiful grounds and track. Different areas allow for different experiences from tailgating style experience to elegant dining. Family friendly and fun for everyone.
An awesome spot to watch horse racing and to bet on the results. However, it is much more than that. We attended a private event. The rooms are beautiful. The staff is professional and friendly. The food was delicious. The grounds are breathtaking. It is a relaxing and comfortable experience wherever you are seated to watch the races. Of course, it is also exciting if you have some skin in the game!
Last season: Very sorry to see this beautiful track being closed after this year but, the owners let the community, employees and racing fans down. This is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon watching thoroughbred racing. It will definitely be missed....
A day at the races, what can I say. We were invited by owners to come and experience the normal routine of the backside - even more facinating. Spectacular fall weather, the beautiful coiffed grounds of Arlington, the anticipation of a good race or in our case - a great daily workout, observed with great friends. It doesn't get much better.
A great place for everyone. It is kid friendly, safe and above all immaculate. All the latest in race track set uo, with betting in everyway you can imagine. In additio. It has track feeds fro. Around the country. The low end food is barely passabe, but it improves from there. Go to the restuarant if you want a r es al meal
Went to a racecourse for the first time and it was a fun experience. On Sunday they had activities for kids like a petting zoo and pony ride for free. You can get your own food. The entrance ticket is $10 per person.
Drinks are pricey, but you can bring in your own cooler & food for the afternoon. We'll definitely do that next time...had a fun day! 😊
A beautiful track set in the northern suburbs with so much green and energy to make any visit sublime if you love horses or excitment. Breakfast at Arlington is also great way to enjoy the park and see how the thoroughbreds go thru their morning paces. Held every first Sunday in summer, it's a great outing for the day.

Recently visited this location to pay my respect to the one and only Harold Ramis, Ghostbuster. I grew up watching HR on the big screen. Location was very well maintained and clean. Highly recommended!
While visiting my father's spot yesterday, I had the lovely opportunity to meet one of the grounds staff- Gabe. He took the time to ensure that we knew where we were going to and offered my mother water as it was a hot day. I appreciate the kindness that he shared. Great member of the team!

My beloved aunt was interred at Shalom Memorial Park this afternoon. Hers was a life well lived in service to her family, her clients and her myriad friends near and far. The manifest stress that resulted secondary to her passing was exacerbated by the fact that her daughter, my nominal cousin, is a card carrying member of the lunatic fringe, certifiable and several French fries short of a Happy Meal. Imagine, if you will and care to, flying in from Florida to Chicago during the dead of Winter to bury the most important person in your life, sans winter coat and/or notification of the plethora of friends and relatives who knew and loved this person, and, upon arriving at the burial plot, asking site management to inform the few guests that presented that, because the daughter traveled from a warm enclave and has no winter coat, the eulogy would take place outside the certifiable daughter's rented Toyota Corolla while all guests gathered around the vehicle from which heat and David Bowie emanated, while daughter sat warm, comfortable and completely impervious to all that transpired around her. I'm still trying to figure out how Shalom's management team and the excellent presiding rabbi pulled this off without averting their eyes while explaining this "plan" or, frankly, laughing out loud. That they were able to do so both transparently and professionally is and was unfathomable to the few other relatives in attendance and me, and was, again, appreciated. While my beloved aunt now resides on the other side of eternity, her progeny lives on, which is perfectly acceptable as long as she returns to Florida and never again darkens either my doorstep nor generally jovial disposition any time soon, if ever again.
You would think that a son of the deceased would be treated with kindness and respect during the weeks following their dad’s funeral. Boy was I wrong. Shalom Memorial promised me copies of my father’s death certificate would be forwarded to my attention after the ceremony. Boy was I wrong. Shalom Memorial promised follow up phone calls after I requested copies of the death certificate from their office on 5 different occasions. Boy was I wrong. (In fact, I am still waiting for a call from the last message I left three days ago.) I was forced to go to the county clerk’s office for copies of the death certificate. The DuPage County clerk was more understanding (wishing me condolences for my loss, apologizing for my loss, etc,) than the staff at Shalom Memorial. Just wrong. My wife has planned numerous funerals for her loved ones, working closely with the catholic church and funeral homes. Not once has she been treated anywhere near the treatment I have received from Shalom Memorial. Just wrong. Shalom Memorial = wrong
My experience with the staff at Shalom was excellent. They are a caring group of professionals who helped make my Mother's funeral go smoothly, taking any undue pressure off of me and my family. We were able to lay my Mom down in peace and with respect for all of us.
The policy of uniform, flush-to-ground headstones is wonderful. Having visited family plots at Westlawn to grieve...the crowded headstones are a distraction....almost like visiting someone in jail. The open space at Shalom allows one to pray and grieve at a family member's plot...without so much distraction. Don't know who pioneered this policy, but thank you.
Great place, my Dad is buried here.
