Great addition to a Nashville trip itinerary. It's quite a drive to get there but the facilities and grounds are beautiful. The tour itself is top notch. Amy was knowledgeable and funny and made all-things whiskey intelligible to a bunch of novices. The tour has some stairs but is generally physically accessible and you could skip the indoor parts with stairs and still get a lot out of it. The tasting room is beautiful and I walked away with a much better understanding and appreciation of whiskey making. Definitely walk into the Lynchburg town square after the tour for some food and souvenir shopping. As will be a surprise to no one, the special gift if you buy some merchandise is a shot glass.
This was one of my favorite tours of all time. Beyond what I was expecting which was just a look around an old distillery. Well it was way more than that. It was a walk back in time and through America’s history. This tour was incredible for how it took you inside the day to day workings of Jack Daniel’s which is the same today, more or less, than it was back in the late 1800s. They have been making old number 7 the same way as the distillery’s founders did all those years ago. This was a wonderful sensory tour combining visual, aural, and aromatic moments that truly drove home what it is to make Jack Daniel’s whiskey. And on top of that was the tour guide Matt. His wonderful personality and engaging style made this tour unforgettable.
The “all about the barrel” tour was absolutely fantastic! We learned so much and enjoyed touring the facilities. Kayla was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job of explaining everything. This was a highlight of our trip and we would definitely do it again!
We went on "A day at Jack" tour and our guide was Justin. It was an amazing tour, newly added. Justin did a fantastic job and made the day so much fun. We were learning and exploring the distillery and process, Miss Mary Bobo's and downtown Lynchburg. There were stories shared, Jack was sampled, great food was consumed, and plenty of laughs were had.
The All About The Barrel Tour was great. Kayla was very informative, patient and entertaining. She knows all the answers and if she didn't she found them out. She is an excellent public speaker and great tour guide. We got to see inside barrel houses, had slushies, went to the rickyard, saw the special water source and Jack Daniel's office. We walked through the process watched a video and ended at a tasting with a few small take home gifts. While at the visitor center stop in the White Rabbit Bottle shop. Mr. Flanders, the security guard, is friendly and had a great conversation. He suggested other things in the area, the next area we were traveling to, and hotel options. There are other tour options but All About The Barrel is a good one. Locally there is some controversy and are some hurt feelings between the origins story. Come check out Jack Daniel's Distillery and visit the area.
This was an interesting tour. As a Jack Daniels drinker I was able to see how the whiskey is made. My wife who isn't a Jack Daniels drinker for the tour and the information very interesting. It is amazing what goes into each shot of whiskey. This is a walking tour with a tasting at the end. Be sure to visit the gift shop, you will find some items here that are not available in stores.
We visited the Jack Daniel’s Distillery today and had a great experience. Our tour guide, Debbie, was incredibly pleasant and made the whole excursion fun and interesting. We really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it!
A really great experience. Let me tell you that you are allowed the tasting and one addition alcoholic beverage which was your choice of Jack and lemonade and or Jack and coke, both are slushies and the slushy is for an additional charge. It was my first tour of a distillery. There were some stairs but not a whole lot. Our host was charming and funny. He told us about the history of the distillery and how they make it all. The tasting room was top notch. They taught us how to really drink whiskey which helped a lot. It was a really amazing tour.

Such a nice store in the local village to Jack Daniel’s Distillery. Lots of merchandise and to be honest you could spend a lot of money in here. I spent some. But you could kit your entire house out or home bar.
Definitely stop by here whether you've already done or not done the Jack Daniels distillery store. The have extended merchandise sold here, at this store which is right by other neighboring gift shops. It wasn't too busy when we visited on a weekend afternoon, and he staff here was pleasant. I recommend visiting!
This is a great place to get Jack Daniel's merchandise. Many great clothing options and other whiskey related souvenirs make it a must-see stop in Lynchburg.
Great store for Jack Daniels items.
Great stop while you are in town. Has a lot of Jack Daniels items to buy. Prices are as expected. If you do a tour come here after and get a free shot glass with a $10 purchase. One per person. If your a Jack Daniels fan you will find something to buy if your not then you won’t. Simple as that. They have a shop that makes “stuff” out of the barrels. That was worth coming by to check out as if you need something for your bar at home this is the place to get something.
If you love all things Jack Daniel's this is the place to be. Absolutely awesome. Beautiful store with all the Jack Daniel's merchandise you could want!
The best selection of Jack Daniels merchandise and souvenirs on the town square! Whether you want a sweatshirt, t-shirt, dress shirt, barware, key chain, recipe book, post card, food items, you can find it here! You can even buy a used Jack Daniels whiskey barrel or half barrel here. Your ticket from the distillery tour is good for a free shot glass if you buy $10 of "stuff" - which is way too easy to do here!
It's an old hardware store that has ties to the distillery. It is now being used as the official gift shop of Jack Daniels. It's very spacious and has unique items and gifts for the Jack Daniel's lover. My favorite part of the store was the handmade crafts made from the old used barrels.

Great shop. Stopped in and grabbed some sweets. The owner Bill is a great guy and shared his story on how his business got to where it is today. Get the Pecans!
local man who got into cake & candy that includes Jack in the ingredients after he retired. Very friendly gentleman who operates this in a building next to his home. Very informative on how it all began as well as letting u look around how its made. The sign is one on the main road as u approach Jack Daniels so watch for it & take the half mile detour and check it out, plus the tour is free, and his cake & candy is unique.
Great little family business. People were very friendly. Just a mile outside of Lynchburg.
Nice little tour of a cake and candy factory. The owner is very friendly.
I met the owner Billy Thomas a few years back. A group of us were riding motorcycles and saw his sign so we stopped. What a wonderful decision! Billy gave us a tour, samples, and a great welcome. Each year some of my friends ride through and I tell them to stop in and see him. I know they will always be welcomed warmly!- Love the whiskey balls. Very tasty and affordable. I order them for Christmas gifts every year.
My friend and I stopped by here after our Jack Daniel's tour and wow did we love it. We live in Vegas, so we aren't used to small towns, therefore we were a little leery when driving up as it looks like a home. We were welcomed by such a friendly man who took us on a tour and told us all about what he makes. We had a great time and walked out with lots of deliciousness. The Whiskey Praline Pecans are our absolute favorite. We bought a bunch to bring home to our family and everyone loved them. That was three years ago and now I have it delivered to my house. There is nothing like it!
My boyfriend & I are in Nashville visiting from Seattle, WA - I used to live here but we love to find new things to do in the state when we come to visit. We were on our way to the Jack Daniel’s Distillery when we came across Billy’s shop! He super sweet & passionate about his candy - which by the way is absolutely delicious! He gave us a tour of his shop & told us all about his company. I strongly suggest everyone stop by to meet this amazing gentleman & try his candy!
While in Lynchburg visiting the Jack Daniels facility, we heard about this cake and candy shop. We left the Jack Daniels plant and to our surprise our next destination was only a mile away. As we turned onto the driveway, my thoughts were that the GPS had lead us wrong again. At the end of the driveway sat a small building. My thoughts were that this must be a retail shop to purchase the cakes and candy.. I was wrong, this was the whole kit-n-kaboodle. As we entered the building, we passed through the heart of the business, the office. Mr. Bill greeted us with a big smile and led us to the mailing room. As we looked at all the treats that they had to offer, Mr. Bill explained the history behind the business. Let's just say you'll have to take the trip to Lynchburg to hear it for yourself. It was the best hour spent, of anywhere I went in the Nashville area, hands down. Awesome visit, and a inspiration for anyone who has just started or is thinking about starting a small business.

They have options for whiskey or moonshine tasting. The bartender was knowledgeable with the types of alcohol that was part of the tastings. She was very friendly and easy going.
We had an amazing experience! Amber had exceptional customer service skills and product knowledge. The tastings were delicious, so much so that we came home with some MuscaShine and Lemonade. The icing on the cake was the Smoky Old Fashioned.(photo attached) Do you ship to US addresses. We definitely be back.
Awesome experience. Came in about 15 till close and the wonderful bar tender stayed until we left. Loved the corn whiskey the best. Would be here often if I lived here!
Wow what a nice little surprise! Walking around the town after the JD tour and we stumble upon a nice little winery, then BAM! A cool little distillery right next door!!! The cocktails were delicious and the bartender was super nice. My favorite was the Whiskey, bought a bottle of that to take back to Texas. What a find!
Absolutely wonderful distillery and tastings. With areas dedicated to wine and whiskey, you can learn about and sample both. Drinks are great, the bartenders and taste guides are knowledgeable. A friendly place to spend an afternoon sampling and relaxing.
Great drinks! Awesome bartenders. The girl checking IDs at the door, Alyssa not sooo much. We were making jokes about age and I said definitely check my ID, I might be under age.(I’m visably 41) she rolled her eyes and said yeah ok. I said dang you know how to make a girl feel good. Her response, “It’s not my job to make you feel good. I don’t get paid to make you feel good. I’m here to do my job!” Ummmm, you’re in hospitality. Yes it’s your job to make people feel welcomed. You failed!
The booze is alright. None of it really sang to me, particularly the moonshine. The service wasn't especially informative or enthusiastic despite me being the only person there. Worth visiting though as a tack-on to the JD tour.
Happy we stumbled upon this place. Whisky’s are all great. Tasting is cheap (8$) . Friendly staff that know their products. Cheers !

If you like moonpies especially with RC then this little store is definitely for you. I am not a big lover of moonpies, but my wife sure is. It was her idea to visit this neat little store and I am sure glad we did. I had no idea how many different moonpie flavors exist and this establishment has them all! I have to say the Strawberry 🍓 flavor is actually pretty tasty, I guess that makes it my favorite moonpie and I definitely recommend it. They also have moonpie shirts and other moonpie collectibles which were really neat. You can mix and match different flavors to make your very own variety pack. So after a tour of Jack Daniels come out and give this store a browse.
Cute little store downtown! Every moon pie imaginable is for sale here, as well as some pretty unique sodas. I didn’t try the pickle soda! Lots of cool items like coffee mugs and funny bumper stickers too. Even on a Sunday this place was busy. The sign asking people not to eat the pies until they paid for them was hilarious, but probably happens I guess!
Anybody who grew up on moon pies and RC Cola needs to make sure they check out this cute whimsical store. Lots of moonpie favors to choose from and souvenirs. Recommend this place highly. We really enjoyed the first class service we got from the staff there.
Today I toured downtown Lynchburg, TN. My main stop was the Moon Pie store. In Fact it's my favorite place... This place is the best. Customer service is wonderful. I almost invited her to family dinner..haha! They have all your favorite PIES, assorted CANDY, MOON PIE GEAR (Tshirts, stickers, socks, etc) as well as RC COLA. Well all know they go together like Peas and carrots. So if your near lynchburg, then you should stop by. It's only a short walking distance from the Jack Daniels distillery.. Parking is FREE.
What a fun and neat little store! Has old school candy as well as any moonpie flavor you could possibly imagine. Collectibles and toys. Kids will love it. Definitely worth the stop to check it out if your in the Lynchburg area. But go during the day! The whole town closest up shop no later then 5pm-6pm. Definitely a day trip!
Cute little store! I think she said they have 8 flavors of moon pies? And I love they sell them individually and the small sized! Some cute old timey candy and funky sodas etc… cute stop
Stacey was Very unprofessional. We asked about A Certain moon pie she told me and my husband I guess if you don’t see it we don’t have it Then she recommend us to go to next-door down on the left. WILL NEVER BE BACK
Any and all things Moonpie and nostalgic candy from childhood. Well worth the stop.

This old jail house museum is an interesting part of Lynchburg's history. They guy who volunteers there is so informative and tells some great stories about the jail. He is also is very knowledgeable about the history pertaining to the area. It is free to visit, but they accept donations. It is definitely worth stopping by while you are walking around the town square.
My children and I took a homeschool field trip here to do a tour. The gentleman working was so kind, and informative. There's so much history here, and it was great to tour and read all about the people that have been there. It is donation based, so please be sure to leave what you can to help this gem stay around!
A must visit if you are visiting Nashville, Lynchburg chambers has so much history. The host was so welcoming/ informative.
Interesting old jail in Moore county. Plenty of history to check out, including stories of a number of celebrities who are a part of it. Our grandkids loved the old jail cells and getting “locked” in them for a few minutes. Entrance fee was a donation.
I was visiting the Jack Daniels distillery and walked over to town and saw this old jail. There is quite a bit of history in this building and the gentleman working the day I visited, his name is Ernie, was very knowledgeable. The tour is by donation and I don’t think you can book in advance. There is a lot to see not just in the jail but artifacts and memorabilia from the town. Ernie will tell you stories of sheriffs from the past and possible ghost sightings. If you’re visiting Lynchburg and walking around the town stop in and check it out.
As a member of Spooky Time, me and my friends attended one of the overnight paranormal investigations and had a blast of a time! It was a 10/10 experience. Jory and Amisha (sorry if I spelled your name wrong!) Were excellent hosts and extremely kind, willing to work with us on anything we needed assistance with. The Jail itself has so much history that we were able to see and interact with that it'll be an experience that sticks with me!
Great piece of small town history. The gentleman at the front is very friendly and full of information on the jail.
Very historic and interesting free tour. Self guided, with a volunteer greeting you on entrance. Currently (01/2024) if you donate $5 or more, the give you a nice JD shot glass. A $15 donation gets you a nice bag of literature and other goodies, and since the museum relies on donations for funding, it is a good cause. If you are lucky, you may meet Randall Fanning, a fixture at Jack Daniels for over 40 years, and a wealth of stories and local information. There have been births in the jail, as well as deaths over the years, and some say the old jail is haunted! Many great displays and wall hangings to keep your attention. Free parking nearby, and the first floor is wheelchair friendly, but I am not sure you can get to the second floor.

Beautiful new distillery for this tremendous brand. Master Distiller Jeff Arnett and the Company Distilling team are making some of the best Tennessee Whiskey around. I had the great pleasure to visit on their grand opening day and it was a blast. So many happy people and good vibes all around. I had the great honor to meet Jeff and get a bottle signed by him. He is a genuine person and an amazing ambassador for Tennessee distilling. I highly recommend stopping by this distillery and also checking out their Townsend & Thompson's Station locations as well! Thank you to the Company Distilling team for being so awesome.
