Tims Ford State Park is a 2,200-acre lakeside park located along the Tims Ford Reservoir and Lake. It offers various lodging options within the park, including cabins and camping grounds. Visitors can enjoy activities such as boating, fishing, jet skiing, and golfing. The park also features a marina with boat rentals.
Really great! Everything was clean, neat and organized. And, for the birders, there were so many birds singing and calling in the morning! No big deal, but the campsite parking is very short. You will need to disconnect your truck from your RV. The trail (Lost Creek?) suspension bridges were really neat. Hate to see them in a cage, but we loved the great-horned owl and red-tailed hawk, too. Thanks so much for a great stay!
H M — Google review
Cabins at Tims Ford are a great experience. Nice views, great locations, and rustic cabins that have more than you would need. Lots to do there including hiking, biking, birding, fishing, boating etc. Very friendly staff and a good camp store located very close to the cabins. Perfect for families or couples and several cabins allow pets but do not smell or have pet odors in them at all. Great time!
Greg S — Google review
Absolutely beautiful! Stayed in one of the cabins, and I loved every second of it. The cabin was a clean and spacious living area. The cabin has a large private porch to the master bedroom and a very large extended porch for the guest room and the dining area, all with outstanding views. The trails in this park are beautiful and generally easy to hike with scenic views of the waterway and forests. The visitors center is wonderful and full of information. They have critters found in the area that are being rehabilitated, such as a hawk , a great horned owl, snakes, and others around for viewing. The rangers are knowledge and outgoing, providing great experiences to kids. We were able to hold a snake, rock climb, and get a nice tour before we wandered off to hit the trails. I recommend bringing the family and enjoying time outdoors. ALSO, apprently, this is Sasquatch country lol, so be on the lookout out. HAVE FUN!!!
Matt C — Google review
The Tims Ford Park is nice. It offers a Great paved bike trail that goes from one end to the other end of the park. You do have to watch out for the roots that have raised the pavement. It is shaded by a terrific tree canopy. The #43 campsite was nice and spacious. With a lovely sunken patio area that includes your fire pit. Loved that. The part that I HATED....the park allowed a super loud party to take place right in the center of the campground both nights that I was there. I have camped several times at several different places. I have never encountered this situation before and I hope I don't again. If I was to go to the club, I would have stayed in Nashville. I am disappointed in the park rangers for not nippings the situation in the bud.
Shannon J — Google review
Beautiful and peaceful state park with great scenic views of the water. Trails are well-marked and perfect for a relaxing walk or an easy hike. Lots of spots to stop, take photos, or just sit and enjoy the lake. Very clean, well-kept, and a great place to unwind. Highly recommend!
April L — Google review
The park manager and his staff at the gift shop /welcome center make for a great host and hostesses. The maintenance guy dale and the ladies that clean the cabins were very kind and accommodating. I’d recommend this place to anyone!… the boat ramp isn’t crowded… slips available and affordable… the cabins are nicer than many condos… nice facilities, great spot…. 2 places to buy a Diet Coke!!
Zack Z — Google review
New/modern/CLEAN visitor center and welcoming staff at this park… Very dog friendly and kind. Very nice/new gift shop and supplies available. I purchased a Bark Ranger tag for my hiking companion (dog) and couldn’t resist a coffee mug for myself. Cell reception is spotty in this area, and staff not only reviewed my planned route and gave advice, but took my info to be on the lookout, in case we were delayed in our return. Trails are well marked, and maintained. Print your map before hiking (re: cell reception). There are several scenic overlooks to enjoy along the route When we came back to the visitor center to check in, they gave my dog a milk bone dog treat, petted her and answered some questions I had about future camping at the location… we sat in the rocking chairs at the front of the visitor center while she had some water and I cooled down. Highly recommend!
J S — Google review
Beautiful lake and grounds. Rented a “rustic” cabin and the ladies in the office were very helpful and pleasant. Rental price was also very reasonable for three days. Those are the Pros. The Cons. Can only speak for our cabin but “rustic” is kind. In extreme need of repair and upgrades if not total refurbishing. Most doors don’t lock properly and frankly offer little security. Limited TV options, no WiFi and older appliances to include an oven door that doesn’t close. Shower tub floor very slippery to include mildew. Leak in cabinet under kitchen sink and utensils and some containers greasy/dirty. If you don’t mind really roughing it, camping might be a better option.

Located in Lynchburg, Tennessee, the Jack Daniel's Distillery is the oldest registered distillery in the country. Visitors can explore its history through guided tours and tastings at the visitor center. The town of Lynchburg itself is a significant part of Tennessee's heritage, with over 200 years of history to discover within its 130 miles. The distillery offers daily tours that provide insight into the production process and a chance to sample their famous whiskey.
We did the guided walking tour today, and let me tell you it was well worth the 1.5 hour drive from Nashville. We got to see, do and learn new things about Jack Daniel’s and the process of making their products. Our tour guide Amy was awesome and she made the tour experience that much better. A must see and do if you are a Tennessee local or visitor. I also recommend checking out the gift shop which is located in the town square. I picked up a new favorite piece of furniture for our house ;-)
Lars S — Google review
I arrived around 10:15am on a Sunday and easily signed up for the next tour starting in 10-15 minutes. It was a warm day, but comfortable in the shade. The tour guide was extremely friendly and provided great information. There are no restrooms during the tour, so definitely use the restroom before going on the 1hr45min tour. Easy drive from Nashville. Tasting is included and there’s an optional slushee for $10 you can purchase ahead of time. There’s also optional engraved bottles and photos you can buy too. I had lunch on the town right next to the distillery. Recommend if you have a day to spare!
J M — Google review
This place is just so cool… even if you don’t drink whiskey, you learn some neat history of the area. Plus the property is just beautiful. And the tour guides are wonderful…they clearly love what they do and the company they work for. The experience is really worth the time and money.

Our tour guide Courtney was great. She was very knowledgeable. Very friendly great tour. Would come back again. Originally I didn't want to come due to it being a 4 hour drive from where we were staying I have never been happier with my husband convincing me to do something.

Five Stars All Day Long! Our visit to the Jack Daniel’s Distillery during the World Championship Invitational BBQ event was absolutely amazing! While you do need to make reservations for the Distillery Tours well in advance for this busy weekend, it was so worth the effort. Everything was incredibly well organized — from the layout of the grounds to the seamless flow of the tours — and the food at the BBQ Event was simply mouth watering! A special shoutout to Angela G. at the White Rabbit Bottle Shop, who truly went above and beyond! She not only educated us on the different Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskeys available that day but also helped us secure a limited-edition bottle, all with an infectious smile and genuine enthusiasm. Could not recommend the White Rabbit Bottle Shop and the Distillery Tour enough. An unforgettable experience from start to finish
Mike M — Google review
The tour is informative about the whiskey making process and there’s a lot of history behind the distillery itself. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the whiskey tasting at the end is the cherry on top. It’s totally worthwhile if you’re passing through Lynchburg.

We had such a wonderful time on our Jack Daniel’s Distillery tour today with Kathy! She was incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole experience fun from start to finish. Her personality kept us laughing the entire time while also sharing so much history and insight about the distillery. Our whole group really enjoyed the tour, and the whiskey tasting at the end was the perfect finish. I even purchased bottles that we had engraved, which made for an amazing keepsake from the day. Highly recommend taking the tour with Kathy—she truly made it memorable!

Fantastic experience - guide offered many anecdotes about Jack Daniels and the border southern whisky makers. Beautiful grounds, Note barrel making is off site and process shown via short video. Also, bottling lines are not operational on the weekends. Items prohibited on tour can be left in free lockers.

Barrel House BBQ is a charming smokehouse with a cozy, Southern-themed decor. Visitors rave about the delicious ribs, pulled pork, and burgers. The atmosphere is described as awesome and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy mouthwatering barbecue. Located in Lynchburg near the Jack Daniel distillery, it's popular among tourists and locals alike. Guests recommend trying the pulled pork sandwich or the pulled chicken on crack jack for a satisfying meal.
We stopped in here for lunch before doing a tour at the Jack Daniel’s distillery and I’m really glad we did. It’s the best food we’ve had on our trip so far. The food came out quickly and was very tasty. The crack jack grilled cheese is really just a pulled pork sandwich with melted cheese (aka more meat than cheese) which was exactly what I wanted, and I could only eat half the sandwich since I had a few bites of my husband’s smoked sausage and potato salad. Everything was delicious and we couldn’t finish it all, so we took leftovers with us.
Rebecca F — Google review
Recommended from JD Distillery tour for the grilled cheese on Crack. It was so-so. I had higher expectations of it. It had a good flavor, but I wish I'd order something else. Ribs were delicious, as well as potato salad. Fries were weak. I've had better, sweet potato casserole. Glad we tried it anyway.
Laura C — Google review
Barrel House BBQ is a hidden gem for anyone who loves great BBQ! The ribs are absolutely delicious—tender, smoky, and full of flavor. The owner is incredibly friendly and makes you feel right at home, always ready to recommend something amazing from the menu. A fantastic spot for amazing food and a warm, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!

I've been all over Texas several times, I'd like to think I know good BBQ. BARREL HOUSE BBQ has the BEST Pulled Pork Sandwich I have EVER HAD. The fact that it was prepared by a young man named Jack made it even better after a wonderful tour at the JD distillery. WOW!! I tell anyone who will listen to stop here for lunch....OUTSTANDING, great staff and great prices!! Thank You
Decals S — Google review
It's not every barbecue place that has a barbecue baked potato. Theirs was good; well cooked and not the largest I've seen, but not so small I was wondering where the rest was. The decor was unique with money on the walls. We went here at an off time, as there were no crowds anywhere in town. Showing up at a popular time on a weekend might be different.
Stewart B — Google review
first I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was so good that I had to try ribs too not disappointed! service is casual and the place is pretty cool just a bit pricey and they are not generous with the sides… but, hey, it’s a touristic place so it’s quite normal anyway, I recommend it

Day 2

Northwest side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northwest side side of town. Start the day off with Woodard's Market & Deli, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Rock Creek Greenway. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Woodard's Market & Deli is a convenient stop for travelers with campers, boats, or trailers due to its spacious parking lot and easy gas pumping. The small grocery store inside offers a variety of items, including tasty chicken strips and pizza. Visitors appreciate the ease of maneuvering their vehicles at this convenience store. Customers praise the friendly staff and great deals on 'meat & 3' meals, making it a favorite for truck drivers passing through.
Amazing deli with good food and grocery store. They also have THE BEST pimento cheese of anywhere I have ever tried. I go out of my way to visit when I am heading up theough Tennessee.

Stopped in early for breakfast as I was traveling. The food was just OK but overpriced. Overall, the experience was unpleasant as the staff working the breakfast was somewhat unfriendly and acted like I was "putting them out" by waiting on me. Will avoid this place in the future.
Billy W — Google review
Whoever the woman is serving food at the deli needs to get another job. The most hateful person I've dealt with in a while. I thought maybe it was me until my working partner came out and said the same thing. Terrible attitude

We were glad to see this store after traveling with our camper for several hours. It has a nice roomy parking lot for anyone pulling a camper, boat or trailer. Easy and convenient to pump gas too. There are bathrooms in the back. It is a small grocery store inside so they had a lot to offer. We bought some chicken strips and pizza which was pretty good. We really appreciate the ability to easily maneuver our camper when we stop at a convenience store.

Woodards is a Great Place. Very few family owned grocery stores that offer a true family atmosphere. Employees very helpful and courteous to each customer.

Great little store! Friendly, helpful people, got some good deals & had the best "meat & 3" I've had in a long, long time! Yummy, moist chicken strips & smoked pork chops every bit as good as if I smoked the mn myself at home!! The ladies in the deli are awesome too. Nice find in a small town for a hungry truck driver!! I'll definitely stop in again the next time I come through.

Breakfast was great, beats McDonald's hands down. Had my first experience of French Toast. Buckets of fresh coffee! Friendly staff, and good prices

It's one of the best deli foods from Knoxville to Lynchburg! Just happened to make a stop here while taking the scenic route. Woodard's will now be a road trip tradition! Had a great grocery and deli selection as well as decent pricing! Nothing like the charm and nastalgia from a small town market and deli!

The Moore County Old Jail Museum is a must-visit attraction in Lynchburg, TN. The museum offers a self-guided tour with a volunteer to greet you at the entrance. Donations are encouraged to support the museum's funding, and visitors may receive souvenirs based on their contribution. The knowledgeable staff shares captivating stories about the building's history, former sheriffs, and even possible ghost sightings.
This old jail house museum is an interesting part of Lynchburg's history. They guy who volunteers there is so informative and tells some great stories about the jail. He is also is very knowledgeable about the history pertaining to the area. It is free to visit, but they accept donations. It is definitely worth stopping by while you are walking around the town square.

My children and I took a homeschool field trip here to do a tour. The gentleman working was so kind, and informative. There's so much history here, and it was great to tour and read all about the people that have been there. It is donation based, so please be sure to leave what you can to help this gem stay around!

Ivette M — Google review
Interesting old jail in Moore county. Plenty of history to check out, including stories of a number of celebrities who are a part of it. Our grandkids loved the old jail cells and getting “locked” in them for a few minutes. Entrance fee was a donation.
JW E — Google review
I was visiting the Jack Daniels distillery and walked over to town and saw this old jail. There is quite a bit of history in this building and the gentleman working the day I visited, his name is Ernie, was very knowledgeable. The tour is by donation and I don’t think you can book in advance. There is a lot to see not just in the jail but artifacts and memorabilia from the town. Ernie will tell you stories of sheriffs from the past and possible ghost sightings. If you’re visiting Lynchburg and walking around the town stop in and check it out.

As a member of Spooky Time, me and my friends attended one of the overnight paranormal investigations and had a blast of a time! It was a 10/10 experience. Jory and Amisha (sorry if I spelled your name wrong!) Were excellent hosts and extremely kind, willing to work with us on anything we needed assistance with. The Jail itself has so much history that we were able to see and interact with that it'll be an experience that sticks with me!
Austin Y — Google review
Great piece of small town history. The gentleman at the front is very friendly and full of information on the jail.
Todd O — Google review
Very historic and interesting free tour. Self guided, with a volunteer greeting you on entrance. Currently (01/2024) if you donate $5 or more, the give you a nice JD shot glass. A $15 donation gets you a nice bag of literature and other goodies, and since the museum relies on donations for funding, it is a good cause. If you are lucky, you may meet Randall Fanning, a fixture at Jack Daniels for over 40 years, and a wealth of stories and local information. There have been births in the jail, as well as deaths over the years, and some say the old jail is haunted! Many great displays and wall hangings to keep your attention. Free parking nearby, and the first floor is wheelchair friendly, but I am not sure you can get to the second floor.

During my recent adventure in downtown Lynchburg, TN, I made a delightful stop at the MoonPie General Store. This charming little shop is a treasure trove for anyone with a sweet tooth! The customer service was so warm and inviting that it felt like visiting family. Inside, you'll find an impressive selection of MoonPies in various flavors—who knew there were so many? My personal favorite turned out to be the Strawberry flavor; it's definitely worth trying!
If you like moonpies especially with RC then this little store is definitely for you. I am not a big lover of moonpies, but my wife sure is. It was her idea to visit this neat little store and I am sure glad we did. I had no idea how many different moonpie flavors exist and this establishment has them all! I have to say the Strawberry 🍓 flavor is actually pretty tasty, I guess that makes it my favorite moonpie and I definitely recommend it. They also have moonpie shirts and other moonpie collectibles which were really neat. You can mix and match different flavors to make your very own variety pack. So after a tour of Jack Daniels come out and give this store a browse.

Cute little store downtown! Every moon pie imaginable is for sale here, as well as some pretty unique sodas. I didn’t try the pickle soda! Lots of cool items like coffee mugs and funny bumper stickers too. Even on a Sunday this place was busy. The sign asking people not to eat the pies until they paid for them was hilarious, but probably happens I guess!

Today I toured downtown Lynchburg, TN. My main stop was the Moon Pie store. In Fact it's my favorite place... This place is the best. Customer service is wonderful. I almost invited her to family dinner..haha! They have all your favorite PIES, assorted CANDY, MOON PIE GEAR (Tshirts, stickers, socks, etc) as well as RC COLA. Well all know they go together like Peas and carrots. So if your near lynchburg, then you should stop by. It's only a short walking distance from the Jack Daniels distillery.. Parking is FREE.

Such a nice store in the local village to Jack Daniel’s Distillery. Lots of merchandise and to be honest you could spend a lot of money in here. I spent some. But you could kit your entire house out or home bar.

Great stop while you are in town. Has a lot of Jack Daniels items to buy. Prices are as expected. If you do a tour come here after and get a free shot glass with a $10 purchase. One per person. If your a Jack Daniels fan you will find something to buy if your not then you won’t. Simple as that. They have a shop that makes “stuff” out of the barrels. That was worth coming by to check out as if you need something for your bar at home this is the place to get something.

The best selection of Jack Daniels merchandise and souvenirs on the town square! Whether you want a sweatshirt, t-shirt, dress shirt, barware, key chain, recipe book, post card, food items, you can find it here! You can even buy a used Jack Daniels whiskey barrel or half barrel here. Your ticket from the distillery tour is good for a free shot glass if you buy $10 of "stuff" - which is way too easy to do here!

I met the owner Billy Thomas a few years back. A group of us were riding motorcycles and saw his sign so we stopped. What a wonderful decision! Billy gave us a tour, samples, and a great welcome. Each year some of my friends ride through and I tell them to stop in and see him. I know they will always be welcomed warmly!- Love the whiskey balls. Very tasty and affordable. I order them for Christmas gifts every year.

My friend and I stopped by here after our Jack Daniel's tour and wow did we love it. We live in Vegas, so we aren't used to small towns, therefore we were a little leery when driving up as it looks like a home. We were welcomed by such a friendly man who took us on a tour and told us all about what he makes. We had a great time and walked out with lots of deliciousness. The Whiskey Praline Pecans are our absolute favorite. We bought a bunch to bring home to our family and everyone loved them. That was three years ago and now I have it delivered to my house. There is nothing like it!

We stopped thinking it was a candy/bakery store. It is a online store, however, an employee who was working allowed us to make a purchase. Learn some more history of Lynchburg, TN. Great stop! We enjoyed our time listening to the employee and I believe the owner.

So beautiful and peaceful. I loved taking the dogs here. Naturally, we had to stop so they could sniff every leaf, but it was worth taking it all in.
Jordan J — Google review
The Greenway could be a lot better, but it's not terrible...AKA better than nothing. There are several sections that just seem like an afterthought ending randomly. The section over by Ollie's takes you through a less desirable residential area before you get to the library and bridge over Rock Creek. This section has zero guidance as to which directions to go but as of now since it's a fairly new addition you can just follow the newness of the sidewalk and cross your fingers. We passed a local couple that were passionately making out on the middle of the trail when we passed by with our stroller. They were so into it they just kept going were even there when we came back through. Would have been fine had they not literally been on the middle of the trail. I don't think I'd let kids venture out far on this path.

It's and great place to bike and walk and run.But It floods and lot.It needs to be longer .It also needs more hills and it needs more woods and to be clean up.It is nice along the creek it has snakes. If you go druing tge day you don't have to worry about snakes. Its not perfect but it's and good place in town to walk it just needs to be longer and more hill and clean up and more hill some flat and some hills that way everyone is happy.

Awesome service and excellent food. Lots of locals and tourists eat here. That's always a good sign a place is something special. The catfish was fantastic and the coleslaw was much better than most. They have a good menu with lots of options and specials every day. Probably not a great spot for vegetarian or vegan menu options. I'll definitely be back.

Loved this little place! Food and service was fantastic. We had the sampler platter to share (perfect for 2) The best "red beans and rice" I've ever had....yum! Ribs and pulled pork was amazing. So, if you visit "Javk Daniel's Distillery" after the tour....take a short walk into town and visit this place for a great meal.

Restaurant
Southern Perks is a coffee shop located in Lynchburg that offers an amazing dining experience. After a visit to the Jack Daniel's tour, customers can stop by for a quick lunch and enjoy delicious Pepperoni pizza. The frappes, such as the vanilla latte and vanilla bean varieties, are also available, although they lack a strong coffee flavor. Despite this, Southern Perks still provides good service with friendly staff and efficient service of getting pizza in just 15 minutes.
It's definitely a great spot to start your day! The staff is friendly, the food is pretty dang good (breakfast burrito or you're doin it wrong), and of course the coffee. It's a nice shop with plenty of stuff to look at and wonder to and from.

We ate here twice while in Lynchburg and it did not disappoint. It’s an adorable, small town coffee shop with a lot of American spirit! The coffee was really good! We had pastries and an egg sandwiches, both very tasty. The workers were polite, and everyone seemed to know each other giving that small town American atmosphere. Loved it!

M D — Google review
After a wildly unsuccessful visit to Lynchburg for lunch (1st choice was closed, 2nd choice insisted that I sit with strangers if I wanted a spot), I wandered to Southern Perks desperate for...anything. Their menu has sandwiches, pizza, and coffee drinks. I intended to eat lunch because I was hungry. It was around 1:30 in the afternoon on a Monday and there was absolutely no one in there. An employee came out from the back after a minute or two, but the eerily empty environment and somewhat odd smell in the space dissuaded me from actually ordering a meal. Instead, I wound up ordering a small iced white chocolate mocha to go. It was pricy for a small iced coffee -- over $6. The employee went to the back to fix it for me. It took a few minutes but nothing unreasonable. She brought it back out to me in a cup that looked like a hot latte cup, but it was fortunately made correctly and iced. Overall, it was...fine. Not super creamy, pretty thin and almost watery instead of milky consistency. Decent white chocolate flavor but not a ton of coffee flavor. For the price, I probably wouldn't get it again, but it was serviceable. I dunno, I feel like I'm maybe being a little unfair because of my overall poor experience in town, but given the one thing I tried was resoundingly average, I guess I stick by my 3 star rating. Hoping for a more successful venture the next time I return to town.

Stopped in for a quick lunch after the Jack Daniel's tour. We shared a Pepperoni pizza, and it was delicious!! We each got a frappe, one vanilla latte and one vanilla bean, they were good but didn't taste much coffee flavor at all. Not sure if they were supposed to include coffee or not, but because this was a coffee shop, that is what we anticipated. Overall, it was a good experience, staff was friendly, and it only took about 15min to get our pizza!

Restaurant
The Sundrop Shoppe and Lunchonette was bustling on a Saturday afternoon around 1 o'clock. Although the food took some time to arrive, the drinks were excellent. I ordered a delightful Cherry Sundrop Float and a bottled Sundrop. The entrees, including Grand Daddy's Pimento cheese sandwich with kettle cooked chips and Pot Roast French Dip, were both outstanding. According to my partner, the sandwich truly captured the essence of pot roast.
After 4 years living in Tullahoma we finally visited the Sundrop Shoppe for lunch and we are so glad we did. My wife had the Nutella french toast & bacon and I had the chicken salad sandwich and a bowl of their potato soup. My wife really enjoyed her food and I really enjoyed mine. We definitely will be back and highly recommend you visit also. The waitress was great also!

The four star is for the food. It was a little over salted but good. The service was pretty amazing! Our server was great. She took all four of our orders by memory and got everything right. The restaurant is definitely a very cool blast from the past. We enjoyed the nostalgic feel of yesteryear. Breakfast is always hard to review because the delivery has got to be better than what you can do at home. The staff and the history of this place make it worth stopping in. I wish we were here longer so I could try other things on the menu. If I am ever in the area again I would definitely give it another try.
Charles B — Google review
Our waitress was a joy. Wife enjoyed the French dip but did not care for the au-jus. I had a grilled cheese and bacon. Buttery and well made. Chocolate malt was tasty and very rich with good malt flavor. A bit expensive but enjoyable.
Pat C — Google review
I love this place and have ordered from here many times. When I was pregnant, I went here at least twice a week for a period of time because I craved tomato soup & grilled cheese. This was my top recommendation until today. If your business hours are until 5, you shouldn’t be closing your kitchen at 2:43 without so much as a Facebook post. There’s not one single business popping or jumping at 2:43 on a Tuesday, but you don’t see every other business closing early. Took my business elsewhere & I will not bring my business back.
Sarah B — Google review
Yummy!!! The pancakes filled me up. I could not even finish them! My husband and I each had the T Town Special. The waitresses were very friendly! The restaurant is a "seat yourself" restaurant. The full menu is served all day. The waitress let us know the grill was full, so it might take a little bit to get our food depending on what we were ordering. Luckily, we picked out the choice we did because I do not think it was even maybe 5 - 8 min after we ordered, that our food had arrived. My husband and I visited here on our way to Chattanooga, and it was worth the stop!
Melanie B — Google review
Traveled over an hour and a half to eat here. We walked in around 1 and just stood in the middle of the place. No one came to offer us a table or put us on a waiting list or anything. It was moderately busy but not enough to warrant being ignored. After standing there a couple minutes feeling foolish, a waitress literally bumps into my wife and finally we realize we’re not invisible because she excuses herself for doing so. My wife asks her if we just wait for a table, or get put on a list. The waitress literally said she didn’t know. Who do you ask if not the waitress? Either way we said we’d go outside and wait. We stood outside for about 10 minutes before we saw a man wave us in and offer us a seat beside them. Very nice. Keep in mind this is a small place and sitting with someone may be your only option. We sat at the table for about 5 minutes before we got our drinks. The waitress seemed to be bothered that we took that table but I may just be imagining things. Either way went for the “bottomless” fountain drink. It came with paper straws and the rumor is now paper straws are toxic. Surprised they’re still being used. I ordered the pot roast dip sandwich and the wife ordered the hot Turkey sandwich. They hit the table and The food was delicious. That’s kinda where the satisfaction ended. After we finished we waited and waited for the waitress to come back to ask for napkins that we never had and a refill of this “bottomless” fountain drink. After about 10 more minutes we were finished with our sandwiches and had greasy fingers still waiting for those napkins to show up. I went ahead and pulled my wallet out so I wouldn’t have to wait even longer for her to show back up. Finally a drink came….no napkins. I had to again ask for the napkins. She walked off. My back was to her. My wife was watching her and said “I think she’s doing this on purpose.” She walked all around with a handful of napkins seemingly going everywhere but my table. Finally I got those napkins and was able to sign the receipt with the tiny tip that she earned. The “bottomless” drinks actually mean one tiny 10oz drink and hassle to get any more it seems. We stayed there well over an hour more than we should have just waiting on things. Not a good experience. Again we loved the food though.
Wrexx — Google review
I've never been here before, so I was very anxious to go after hearing how great it was. The food really was good. I had the Club, and the rest of our table had the Roast Beef Dip. None of us were unhappy with our food. The Sundrop Float for dessert and the Caramel Blondie were insanely good. As far as service. I'm not sure if they were short staffed that day, but the service was nothing to compliment. We got our order taken fairly quickly, but then it took almost 40 minutes for our sandwiches to be delivered. We let the server know that at that time, we would be having dessert. Our server never came back, so one person in our group went to the counter to get help. Our entire visit lasted over an hour and a half because, for whatever reason, perhaps they were short staffed. I will probably go back sometime because the food is really good, but in my case, if you need a quick bite between work hours, it might be tough to get in and out. Overall, it was not a bad experience and the place is clean and attractive, and even with the problems the staff is very nice.
Rachelle O — Google review
I’ve lived here for years and I can’t believe that today was my first time to eat at the Sundrop Shop! It absolutely will NOT be my last time. The club sandwich was loaded down with honey ham and turkey plus bacon, American cheese, lettuce and tomato. I could easily get full on half of it. For dessert was Miss Daisy’s Blondie Sundae. I will definitely be popping back in just to have that again. It was “plate licking delicious!!” Check it out. You’ll be so glad you did.

The Beechcraft Heritage Museum, located in Tullahoma, USA, is a contemporary aviation museum that showcases various Beechcraft plane models and artifacts. The collection has been amassed over many years through donations and loans of aircraft and artifacts. Visitors can explore exhibits featuring more than 20 aircraft displayed across two hangars, including notable models like Staggerwings, Twin Beeches, Bonanzas, Debonairs, and the Starship.
This was an absolutely outstanding experience. If you’re an aviator or into Aviation, this beach craft Heritage Museum is absolutely fabulous that goes from the first beach craft by planes, stagger wings to barons and bonanza and king airs. These people at the museum are super friendly and are most helpful. I’m so glad I got to go here and visit them when I was in Tullahoma Tennessee recently.

Excellent sandwiches and wonderful service with high price. I wonder what management is going to do to combat high prices and stay competitive? I know that this is not a “discount” sandwich store like Subway, but your price tags should be justified. Even if you have got a “Signature Take” (9” sandwich for $9.49 plus), isn’t it better to go to some independently owned local restaurant and get a full meal? I know restaurant’s margins are coming under pressure because of rising labor wages and inflation, but $10/- sandwiches are little too expensive. I admit that the quality of the sandwich is worth for higher price, but how much? I will continue to come here for that consistent taste and quality, till it can’t compete anymore with other competitors!

I wanted to update my previous review and add how FANTASTIC the manager here always is. Very kind and I have never had a bad sandwich. The service, consistency, and VERY clean store is what keeps me coming back. You guys are awesome! Great Sandwich, great service. However, in my opinion the prices are steep and the fries are kind of a waste of money. I realize this store has no control over the prices and aside from everything being expensive, the service was excellent.

Absolutely EXCELLENT!!! From the service to the food to even how sparkling clean the restaurant is! Their subs are big enough that we all get two meals from one large sub. Very generous on all the meat, cheese and fixins'! The fresh baked bread is superb! Penn Station fries.....Oh My Goodness!!! The large is more than enough for 3 people to share! AND they are FRESH cut and cooked to perfection! By far the best fries in Tullahoma - bar none! But my personal favorite is the warm and caring staff...I always feel like family when I walk in the door. They really do care about your order and truly make it personal on my every visit. Always fresh and most importantly.... consistently a great meal! Thank you Joey and Mary for making my family dinner tonight (and lunch tomorrow). OH....! My husband and I ate at Penn Station for our first time. The service from when we opened the door until we left was absolutely wonderful! Based on that alone we will return! Yeah the parking is limited but no a big concern for us as there was parking available. The food was delicious!! My husband asked for no lettuce and they forgot and put lettuce on his sandwhich but he was okay with just taking it off himself. We both liked the variety of hot and cold sandwiches that they offer. There's no question to it we will be back. They are a bit pricey so we may not go often.

This is the sorriest food I've received in a long time. The Reuben had no kraut & I'm not sure what the sauce was, but it wasn't 1000 island. There was enough meat for maybe 2 bites. The grilled club was just a piece of ham & a little cheese. There was nothing else on it. No tomatoes, lettuce or condiments. It was even missing the turkey & extra bacon that I paid extra for. The cheese steak really looks like something my dog threw up. It didn't have any mushrooms, let alone the extra I requested. Again, very little meat. If not for the onions there wouldn't have even been a sandwich. The fries were old, crunchy and hard. I fed all of my order to my dogs and opened a can of spaghetti o's for me;at least it had actual meat in it. I don't mind paying extra for good food, but I really hate to pay for garbage. I could get that for free out of my own can and it probably would have tasted better. Save your money. Get Subway or Jersey Mikes. I won't ever eat at another Penn Station. Photos if needed. ETA: 10/21/2020 Jason Day reached out and offered a free meal. Why would I want more terrible food? I asked for a refund instead, sent him the pictures of the awful mess and haven't heard back. So, customer service sucks, too.

We would just like to shout out to the manager Paige at the Tullahoma, TN location for her amazing work. Even though it was very busy, she had complete control of her staff, and she utilized them in a completely efficient and effective way. She went out of her way to make sure our order was accurate. We could tell that her staff appreciated her leadership as they all were very happy and eager to do their job. My husband and I have extensive experience in restaurant operations - this restaurant could have not run any better with anyone else. Paige and her team are absolute professionals and service is rarely provided at that level. It's refreshing to see. She strongly deserves consideration for higher positions.
