In my road trip exploring upstate New York I decided to stop by Taugannock Falls. I saw pictures online and it looked pretty cool so I told myself I'll stop by. I was not ready for how absolutely stunning this park is. Walking to the falls itself is quite easy and the whole way there you have a breathtaking view of the mighty gorge. I was essentially looking at a wall of rock hundreds of feet high. It was stunning to see such a site especially in the northeast. Usually something like this is out in Utah or Arizona. I got to the end of the trail and was absolutely in awe of how beautiful the landscape was. The falls itself was stunning albeit not a lot of water was falling when I visited. But just being surrounded by natural walls hundreds of feet high was magical. It makes you really appreciate mother nature. Don't forget to drive a quick few minutes to the upper view! It's a minute walk to the vantage point from the parking lot and is just as striking!
This is a dramatically scenic set of trails! We hiked the Rim Trail and enjoyed spectacular views of the gorge and the falls. Be prepared for a challenging walk with a lot of elevation change. We did the Rim Trail clockwise, but the park actually advises going counter-clockwise for a more gradual climb. We learned why the hard way: the start of the clockwise route is a very steep rise with lots of steps. Trust the park's advice—it would have been less effort to hike it the recommended way! A quick note: we couldn't hike the Gorge Trail because it closes mid-October, so keep that in mind when planning your visit. The Rim Trail itself is well-marked and fenced, so there's no danger of accidentally getting near the edge. Overall, the views are truly stunning and worth the effort.
This is a wonderful place to get outside and enjoy a hike. The views of the waterfall are magnificent. It was well worth the three hour drive to get there. Another natural wonder in New York State has been crossed of my bucket list! Yeah! 😃😊
This is a great place to visit! It is a beautiful easy hike thru a wide gorge to the waterfall! And yes, you can explore the bottom of the gorge along the way! Popular hike, so best to go off peak times! There is also a nice, quiet hike along the rim. Part of it is fenced off at the rim for safety. There are several views of the gorge below. You can park at the gorge entrance (bathroom across the street) or along the rim at a waterfall view point (bathroom).
An amazing place. The walk took about an hour, but we thoroughly enjoyed the natural beauty and took so many wonderful photos and videos. I think visitors see completely different views at different times of the year. If you love nature, this park is definitely worth a visit.
Nice place for hiking or walking with kids. Trial to the falls are very easy and flat. Prapobly you need about one hour to complete the hiking, depending on your speed. But is worth it falls on the end are very nice. When I was there water level was pretty low. Will be even better when we get much more water flow.
This park has some nice trails. One of the trails leads to a gorgeous, tall waterfall that is an easy hike. There is an overlook of the falls that you can drive to. There is a small gift shop that dis not have power when we arrived so we couldn't buy a souvenir. That was sad but overall, it was a great day.
Amazing state park. The gorge trail for this park in my opinion is a lot better than the Watkin glens trail. There is a big water fall at the end. Very great scenic views. The trail itself is very wide and easy to walk. There's less people and a smaller, fuller waterfall near the beginning.

Bill is such a gentle soul and very informative on the cider and wine. There's a cat and dog, which made my experience 10x better. The cider tastes fresh and juicy. It's a less busy place than others along the finger lakes, but I highly recommend making the stop.
A hidden gem among the Cayuga Lake winery trail. This place has some of the most delicious ciders and Rieslings I have had in the area. The Pet Nat Riesling is one of the most compex and interesting wines I’ve experienced, so yummy! A must try.
Great service, we were able to do the tasting in their backyard. We loved their Pet Nat Riesling.
We had the pleasure of meeting Zanzabar and his human (aka the proprietor of this lovely establishment). We did a full tasting and left with a full trunk! We chose to select the Petillant Naturel as our dessert wine for this year's Thanksgiving - and when paired with a cast-iron skillet apple pie - it blew everyone away.
Not sure how the cider was, as we were immediately "greeted" by the employees loud barking dog that was jumping on our group. There were not attempts to quiet or control the dog, and the staff offered very little or no information despite our multiple questions. The entire experience was unfriendly and unwelcoming. We did not stay, and will not return.
Had a lovely tasting, with the guy who actually makes the cider pouring them and explaining each one. You can feel his love and passion for this place. Such a nice place. Beautiful doggo too.
My wife and I ad a great time tasting Bill’s delicious ciders and Riesling’s and petting the dogs and cats that were hanging out with us. Also learned quite a bit from Bill on the history of cider and distilling in New Jersey. A must stop on your wine trail visit to the finger lakes.
This cider house/winery is an absolute jem. The atmosphere was peaceful and laid back like sitting on your parents outdoor porch. Cute vine covered porch and an apple tree in the corner. Picnic tables were distanced nicely so you were not concerned at all. Unlike many of the other wineries where you feel like cattle hurded down a line. Very reasonable pricing $7 for 5 tastings and they were substantial tastings. The tasting felt friendly and personal with recommendations about the area and the cider and wine. Which were some of the best I have ever had! The owner went above and beyond to make our time so enjoyable and memorable. Just go!

Them he wine was very good. The owners are very knowledgeable about the different wines and provided great detail about the different grapes. The atmosphere is very relaxing with outside seating available with beautiful views of the vineyard and the hills. They have a nice selection of dry white and red wines. There a couple sweeter wines but the majority are dry which is my preference. We did the wine and chocolate experience which I highly recommend.
We liked this place a lot. The hostess was friendly and chatty. The wines were solid. We left with 5 bottles(ai background in the attached image)
This was an amazing winery. I did the wine tasting with chocolate pairing. The wine and chocolate were extremely delicious. The staff were very nice. The lady at the counter was very knowledgeable on all the wines they had in stock. It was a great time, I highly recommend going to this winery.
Such an adorable and beautiful spot! Our group loved their Pinot Gris and the Dry Riesling. Also, the owner of the winery was so sweet and accommodating! We had a large group and we wanted to sit outside but the seats were a bit wet. She came outside and dried off the seats and she had such a great sense of humor! Definitely a great place to go to!
This was a cute location and the wine was good, however, our wine tasting experience was a little awkward. My boyfriend and I were expecting a tasting like we have had at other places, like being given all the wine options at once and having the ability to sit elsewhere and taste them. However, the tasting was comprised of receiving each wine at a time - you could not get the next sample until you finished the first one. At the time we went, we were the only customers. We were sharing a tasting and it was so quiet inside - which made it feel like we couldn't talk to one another. Every time we finished the wine we had to get back up and go get the next glass. We wanted to sit outside but then we would've had to get up 5 separate times. It didn't feel worth the experience. It was unfortunate because it was recommended to me by a friend who went to college in the area.
My friend and I visited after completing the Gorge’s 1/2 Marathon in Ithaca. We had fantastic service, experienced great hospitality along with a delicious wine and cheese pairing tasting! The winery also has beautiful views if you are able to have a seat outside. Highly recommend stopping by if you are near the area!
Bet the Farm Winery was a delightful experience to end our Finger Lakes visit. The wine tastings we did were all delicious, so much so that we grabbed 2 bottles to take home. The food pairings were similarly tasty. The employees who chatted with us throughout and provided great context for the winery and area were icing on the cake. I highly recommend visiting.
Forgot to take pictures as the conversations were great with the hostess and owners. Recommend the chocolate and cheese tasting. Wine was delicious and such a great variety to choose from. Highly recommend this NY wine.

This is the most beautiful place. I cried the very first time I saw it. Go in March to see the falls at their fullest. Fall is beautiful for scenery! Winter is awesome! The Overlook is open all year!
If I could give 10/10 stars I would! Not only is this an amazingly beautiful view and hike but the staff are also incredible! Jody at the visitor center is the best!!!! helped me locate and returned a necklace I had lost last weekend, I am so grateful and look forward to going again this season :) thank you again!
If you visit the state park or the falls trail, definitely stop at the overlook to get a bird's eye view of the falls. Also, stop at the visitor's center. The staff is awesome and there are some great souvenirs.
This is a great place to view the falls from the top, and offers some hiking trails around the rim. It has a gift shop and flushing toilets. No fees for parking, but it is a small parking lot. We hiked the multi day use trail that is a loop (a little over a mile) featuring an old furnace and so different views of the falls. It was a little buggy in the woods.
A high up view of the main waterfall and a very small gift shop. I was able to buy a magnet and take some pictures of the waterfall from here, but even this was busy and hard to find a parking spot.
The water flow is very low, but the fall color makes it beautiful. I had an amazing experience at the visitor center. The staff was genuinely nice and went above and beyond to provide me with the details I was looking for.
Stopped here on our way through the Finger Lakes of New York State. We were going to head into the State Park that would also include Cayuga Lake but decided to head to the overlook. It was very easy to find but by afternoon parking was limited. There are great views of the Falls from up here. I imagine from the park you can cross the road and hike a little to the base of the falls. From the overlook you can truly take in the majesty of this falls. At 215 feet it is awesome to see.
I live here and I still visit on bike every weekend weather permitting. Not a food destination. Views of the falls and gorges are great. 2 mile hike around the falls. Simple walk up to the falls from ground zero. Cayuga lake across the street. Don't miss it. A wonderful peaceful place.

WOW!! I immediately felt compelled to write a review about the incredible couple’s massage we just got— we’re visiting the area and booked a spa appointment to relax (alas we aren’t staying at the Inn). We were asked to arrive early to enjoy some time in the sauna, rinsed off and changed into robes and had an incredible massage with Suzanne and Angel. I am typically pretty indifferent about massages and was so blown away with how soothing, yet deep and firm, this was. My husband noted how intentional the movements were, as opposed to what you may get at a commercial spa. This was 10X better than any chain spa and honestly, more affordable! Big Kudos to this spa, everything was 10/10.
My partner and I had booked a couples massage and drove up from Maryland. They called us 30 minutes before we were supposed to be there and cancelled. Very unprofessional and we wasted a lot of time and money coming up for nothing. Very frustrating!
My husband and I booked a couples massage and time in the hot tub as a part of our anniversary getaway. Our experience was a bit iffy at first, but it turned out well in the end. When we showed up for our appointment 10 minutes early, everything was locked up. We walked over to the B&B and called the number posted. The owner made an error and thought we were scheduled for later, so no one was there to let us in. We sat on the porch and waited until a girl arrived and let us in to start our paperwork. The interior of the spa is stunning! It is clear that the owner put a lot of thought and time into transforming the building into a peaceful place. The heated floors were a treat, and the stone work, tile and wood were beautifully done. We got changed and went to the outdoor hot tub where we got to soak for maybe 20 minutes since we got started late with everything. There wasn’t much privacy. We had a view of a school and playground, solar panels and neighboring yards. I was hoping for a bit more privacy. Perhaps some greenery or shrubs could be planted to create a more secluded area. Another odd thing about the hot tub — we were asked to cover the hot tub when we finished. Other spas I have gone to would never ask guests to do something like that. It was just odd to me. After showering, it was onto massages with Lang and Jodi. Both were excellent, and our experience was relaxing. When we were all done, we didn’t know what to do with the towels, robes, or spa shoes. No one said to leave them or to put them somewhere. Maybe there should be a hamper with a sign so guests know what to do. After this we had to wait for the owner again to check on payment. Overall we enjoyed the experience in spite of little snags. I think this place has some great potential.
We had a couples massage at The Spa at Gothic Eves Inn with Suzanne and Raven. THE BEST massages we’ve ever had! The Spa was beautiful and clean. Do not hesitate if you are looking to relax while staying in the area!
We had our first couples massage at The Spa at Gothic Eves and what an excellent experience it was! It was a comfortable yet intriguing atmosphere. The girls guided us the whole way and really made us feel pampered. The massage itself was more than I hoped for and my partner agreed. If you haven’t been here, you should go!
I had Beth for a one hour massage and she was wonderful. She used a combination of light and medium pressure to relieve knots and tension around my entire body. I thought I wanted a deep tissue massage but Beth knew what she was doing and what my body needed. It was the best massage I ever had. I felt like a new person afterwards. I only wish the hour lasted longer. I highly recommend this spa!
Came to the spa with my mom for a massage. Warm, friendly welcome upon entering the spa with comfy chairs and water or tea. We went in the Sauna, which was so cozy and perfect for 2 people and then had a massage. I must say it was the best massage I have had and I will be going again. I felt very comfortable at this spa and highly recommend it!
When we reach out to Rose for a couples massage during our vacation in the region, she found 2 people despite staffing problems. The massage was relaxing and the spa overall has a very nice cozy feeling. We had a good time.

beautiful place, very friendly staff, friendly alpacas, we spent a pleasant day getting to know this beautiful farm, I recommend it to everyone to visit, we bought organic eggs, we also bought clothes and other items in their beautiful store. Thank you, we will return with my husband
Closed for winter and will open in spring. Check the timings. This place is amazing. The owner Chris has kept all Alpacas very healthy clean. The animal Alpacas are so nice , gentle and amusing. There are local made stuff in the gift shop and Alpaca wool stuff. Enjoy your visit.
A great experience! The Alpacas are adorable and on the tour you get a chance to feed some of them. There are other animals on the farm to see as well and the view of the lake from the farm is gorgeous. Nice selection in the shop, including items made on site from the wool the farm produces.
Great place! Must see! Clean, organized with gorgeous lake view! The alpacas are cute! The owners are very nice, answered all of our questions. Did I mentioned cute alpacas? Gift shop is also cute. Too bad that we can’t bring couple of alpacas home :-) We had a great time!!! Recommend to everybody!
Wonderful visit! Great experience. They were so friendly & welcoming to us!
Love the Alpacas. They are so cute and the place is very well maintained. The owner is really sweet and does a wonderful tour..
Clean and beautiful farm facing the lake with cutest animals! The owners are very nice, introduced a lot about their alpacas and answered all our questions!

The Trumansburg Farmers Market is such a lovely scene. There are a wonderful mix of vendors, options to eat while you’re there, and live music happening every week. Parking is convenient and the location is central so that Village residents have the option to walk or bike there.
A decent venue filled with old hippies, except they were completely exclusive which is ironic. Definitely not a welcoming vibe after getting yelled at in the parking lot while waiting for a parking spot. Visitors beware.
This farmers market usually has a diverse selection of foods and other items. A bathroom is present as well as a children's play area. Usually live music is present.
Great little place every Wednesday 4-7. People talking, kids playing, dogs relaxing! Local wendors selling their homemade, home grown product. Family atmosphere all around!
This is one of my favorite farmers' markets!
We live only a few miles from Trumansburg so often attend the Farmer's Market. We love the people and what they sell here.
Delightful farmers market and community gathering spot. Small, but everything good quality and friendly atmosphere. There was an excellent live band playing the day we were there in late August.
This is a wonderful bucolic Farmers market located in the beautiful village of Trumansburg. Features fresh garden produce, artisan products and live music weekly on Wednesday from 4 till 7 p.m. a very family-friendly atmosphere. All of the wines were great, we really enjoyed doing a flight of each type of wine and tasting them all. Plus the view from the deck is gorgeous. Overall a great experience, we'd recommend stopping in for a tasting!
My husband & I had a great time here, really good wines & a pretty large selection. The staff was very helpful & informative on the wines but also gave great recommendations for other places to go on our trip. The atmosphere was very quiet & peaceful, we also liked that we could bring our dog! Overall great place, we’ll definitely be back!
I went for a tasting recently and had a great time! The owners were interacting with customers, the service was amazing and the environment was comfortable. The servers took time to explain about the wine and the view from the deck is amazing! The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend!
Stopping in for the first time we were greeted warmly and with honesty of the wine selection being mostly dry. We were offered to try a couple before committing to a full tasting/flight, as we prefer sweet wines. Deciding it wasn’t for us, Lawrence was extremely understanding and even helpful recommending sweeter wines locations nearby. Although we did not drink here, the customer service was amazing and deserves recognize. And for those who DO prefer dry wines, the views are beautiful from the deck!
Tucked away in the scenic beauty of Upstate New York, not far from Cornell/Ithaca, this charming winery offers a relaxing and memorable experience for wine lovers of all kinds. From the moment you arrive, the peaceful surroundings and sweeping views set the tone for a perfect visit. The tasting room is welcoming and unpretentious, with knowledgeable staff who are happy to guide you through the selection. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or just discovering wine, there's something here for everyone. One of the highlights is the spacious outdoor deck, which offers panoramic views of Cayuga Lake and rolling hills. It's the perfect spot to sit back with a glass of wine, enjoy the breeze, and take in the natural beauty that makes Upstate New York so special. Whether you're touring the Finger Lakes, or visiting friends and/or family in Ithaca or any of the lovely surrounding towns, this winery is definitely worth a stop!
Friendly and laughable staff with good tasting wine and reasonable price range, great scenery as well. It is a good place to take pictures. If you come during the fall or winter, I recommend bringing a thick jacket.
We were blessed to have an amazing experience today at Frontenac Point vineyard today. Thank you so much Carol, Larry and John. Hope we can come back!

I played Trumansburg GC for the first time today and was very impressed. What a beautiful track. The course was in phenomenal shape. Greens were running fast, but true and consistent all around. Every hole was well manicured and scenic in its own way. The course is challenging but fun. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Pace got jammed up but the nice lady running the pro shop was fast acting and quickly got everything back on track. We called into the bar/grill for food to pick up on the turn. I got the chicken salad sandwich and it was phenomenal. I dont make a lot of reviews but when I have as good of an experience as I did today, its only fair to share it. If you have not played it yet, its worth the trip. We drove an hour one way and it was well worth it. I will definitely come back again.
It was my first time playing here, and the layout and course conditions were excellent! Had a great time playing with my two sons while I was visiting from South Carolina. Pace of play was really good on a Thursday!
I'm not a golfer, I hear that the course is very nice. A group of friends and I went to the Tap In Bar and Grill ( on site) and enjoyed food and drinks. Delicious food, friendly service and reasonable prices.
For your money you will be hard pressed to find better value. The course was in great shape! A nice mix of challenges, yet can be forgiving. The staff was outstanding, super friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend if you are in the area.
One of the best value for money courses in Upstate. 2021 course in great shape (ignore the traps), challenging and friendly. Try the fries at the grill.
We played today 11/10, course was in fantastic shape; leaves removed, fairway cut and dry, greens fast and dry just awesome
Best golf course in the area by far! Club house has really good food too!
