I've been going to Allegheny for 30 years . It's my happy place. It'll never get old . Thunder rocks , creek walking , fishing , spotting at night for animals , night walks and campfires are my favorite things to do . Best campsites are Macintosh and bee Hunter.
Stunning park. Beautiful views everywhere. The lakes and scenery are very eye catching. The electric cabins on Weller are perfect for what you need. (Pack a toilet, curtain and rope.) Hamlin trail no electricity we're sufficient but very rustic. Pack a decent amount of lanterns and flashlights. Cabin 17 on Weller Is on a pretty steep hill. Do not recommend for elderly people. I brought my mom and she struggled quite a bit.
We recently visited Allegany State Park and had an amazing experience! The fall scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with vibrant colors everywhere.🍃🍁🍂 The trails were well-maintained and perfect for hiking and exploring. We also loved the playgrounds, which were great for kids, and had a blast riding our scooters around the park.🛴🛝🏞️ The bathrooms were impressively clean and convenient, adding to the comfort of our visit. Overall, Allegany State Park is a fantastic destination for nature lovers and families alike!
We stayed in a travel trailer at the end of September by the red house. We had almost the entire park to ourselves. The staff was super friendly and they have night shift for people that show up after close. We have traveled the country and seen many city, state, and national parks and this one by far is one of the nicest. The rates were very reasonable and we ended up extending our stay because of how nice it was. We will definitely be coming back with our dogs in the coming years.
We visited Allegany State Park in the beginning of October, and it was absolutely beautiful! I really loved the park. It’s huge, and although we only hiked a little before heading back, it’s such a wonderful place to explore and enjoy nature. The fall colors were simply stunning!
A quick stop on our way out east to take a short walk and explores little. Beautiful visitors center.
Our family went there to camp for the weekend. We paid for our campsite and we have the empire pass. They bullied us to pay $7 for our 2nd car even though we paid for the site and every other state park both cars are included. We couldn't even use our empire pass. there is no cell service or public wifi anywhere sad it was a beautiful park with tons of bike paths
Great Park for camping especially during the month of October Excellent quite camp sites and lots of hiking trails.

Be prepared to spend hours here. I recommend starting in the South Wing (at the front desk, turn left), the prices are better. There are alot of runners (people who grab your items) but they seem to clique together and chit chat rather than spread out and grab items but when its closing tome they’ll be sure to visit you several times to remind you. Overall, great selection. I found some rare items here I’ve never seen before.
This is one of the best antique malls I have been to …and I have been to a lot. The staff is the best and always ready to help you at a case. Great selection. Literally something for every collector. I collect Fenton and there was a very good selection. Worth the trip and even a drive to go to this VERY VERY LARGE MALL.
Purchased a Chevy Silverado Diecast car there today and my experience was wonderful! The store is huge and you could find practically anything there. Nice employees and cashier, and lots of space to walk
This place is awesome. It is huge. Leave lots of time and carry pencil and paper with you. All areas are coded to help you get help.
We try to get here atleast once a year while we are in the area. This place is huge so expect to spend about 3 hours or more for your hunt. There are often a lot of booth sales offering 20% or more on things over $10. The staff is very good and are in the aisles often to offer to bring your stuff up front or open a case for you. Which makes me more willing to look at the cases here vs avoiding them in other places. I highly recommend making the trip to this antique mall, wear your walking shoes and plan a day.
Plan to be here all day if you love searching for treasure that you didn’t know you needed! This place is packed to the gills with just about anything and everything, so take your time to dig in. Awesome employees and an even better manager/store owner. Super nice people!
Really enjoy visiting this place. It's well organized. There is some much to look at. Top to bottom with deals. Collectibles of all types. Plenty of things can be missed if you don't take your time.
Prepare to spend some time there. Did a bunch of good purchases

One of the most beautiful and touching museums I've ever had the privilege to walk through. Very grateful and would highly recommend.
The history is thoughtfully presented and beautifully displayed. I appreciate how it covers all aspects of Seneca culture—from centuries ago to the present day. The artifacts, along with the stories behind them, offer a powerful and authentic representation of their heritage. The exhibit provides an in-depth look at Seneca traditions, especially the vital role of women in their society. Topics include origin stories, traditional crafts like pottery, basketry, and beadwork, Indigenous medicine, contemporary artwork, lacrosse, and the impact of U.S. policies. I highly recommend stopping by—it's a meaningful opportunity to learn genuine, often overlooked history.
Warm and friendly welcoming lobby and display. Interesting anthology and informative culture expert on staff. Easy access from Seneca Casino and ample parking. Very reasonable admission. ( and senior discount offered)
Ja:göh! Nyá:wëh for capturing our history and displaying it with intention and respect.
Nice museum for its relatively young age. Currently there is a lot of static story boards and not a lot of actual displayed artifacts which is what we look for. Their story telling is very good and gives the visitor good perspective on tribal history, struggles etc. The beadwork exhibit was amazing. We hope in future years more artifacts from tribal history will be donated or purchased to round out their collection. Clearly the museum was built with good forethought for expanding their collection as there is a lot of unused space. Looks like they are building a replica of a long house outside and that is great. Their gift shop is nice.
Beautiful, informative exhibits teaching me the history of the area. Truly centers the Seneca experience of religion, geography, history, politics, art and even sports. Something for everyone in the gift shop too - I got a book of folk takes for myself and will be going back to get stuffed animals for the children in my life.
Knowing that there are not many museums about Native Americans in the States, we planned to visit here before even coming to Salamanca. And I am glad we did! The museum opens a wide window into the Native Americans’ lives in the Seneca nation which is a union of various tribes in Northern New York. The museum does an amazing job to explain the Native American culture from the stories of the creation to their traditional dresses, the healing plants they benefitted from for centuries, their folkloric dances, and so more. The museum does not only explain the cultural aspects but it informs the visitors about the struggles the Native American experience still to this day. If you happen to be in the region, I would highly recommend you visit here to gain a different perspective about the Seneca nation.
The history goes deep.. I love places like this that actually enrich the culture of all the Indian clans of Seneca.. The artifacts they have and the stories behind each one.. I personally recommend going to places like this that give the real history of Indian culture...

This was the greatest experience, it was truly a dream come true!!! My sister surprised me with a one hour trail ride for my birthday, and I will be going back as frequently as I can!! I'm so excited to see the trail in the fall. 10/10 experience!!!!
Great for beginners and kids! It was a slow paced and scenic little ride that my kiddos enjoyed as they've never been riding before. I felt secure with the calm and mild mannerisms of the horses we were all on; Lily, Chick, and Gem just to name a few. The owners were very welcoming and the guides made us feel comfortable during our tour. I love that all the horses are rescues and get to live out their lives on this lovely and serene ranch.
We went this weekend for my daughters 17th birthday! It was amazing. Such a beautiful ride! The horses and the family are amazing! Made our first experience riding so fun! From the second we walked up they were amazing!! The horses are beyond smart and you barely had to do a thing, they showed us what to do!! We will definitely be back! Thank you so much! Jackie, Norman and Landree!! Beautiful place with beautiful people and horses!
We did a 2 hour ride and had a great day on the trail. Rachel was an excellent guide. Jim and Dolly run a wonderful ranch and our family loved our ride today. The horses are well trained and easy to ride. We’d recommend it! Only a short 15 min drive from Ellicottville and just over an hour from Buffalo!
Love this place!!! Not only were we able to take in some amazing views, we learned a lot about ranch life, wild life and some plants. Staff and guides were amazing friendly and on the ball when it comes to matching the right horse with the right person. They love and care about the well-being of everyone including thier horses!
Holly and Jim have something special happening. It’s not every day you meet such welcoming folks. We booked a proposal ride and they went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It ended up being a perfect day out on the trails and couldn’t have asked for anything more. From the beautiful scenery to Holly’s homemade hot chocolate it was a phenomenal experience. Highly recommend
We were really looking forward to this place but after multiple phone calls we were apprehensive. The woman who answered the phone was very rude. After we got lost and experienced closed roads, we called to communicate and were told 5 minutes late was unacceptable and that we needed to hurry up. She also angrily stated that they were very busy today so any amount of time late was unacceptable. After getting stuck in heavy traffic after the call, we opted to turn around and go home because of how the phone call went and once we got home, the woman called us to say that they would have waited for us even though she gave us the complete opposite idea over the phone earlier. She charged us anyways despite the miscommunication on her behalf.
We had to cancel due to being late. Be prepared to be early. When we called to say we were being late, we were met with hostility, even though we were only going to be 5 minutes late. She called us back and said that we would be charged. We did not know we were being charged (could be user error). The person on the phone did not have very good customer service.

We are losing our wonderful Priest! He is going to another parish! Love him and will miss him! He has done a great job for us!
Jesus Christ centered Church. Jesus shows up at every Mass. It does not get any better than that. Jesus is alive and well. Thank you Jesus for everything.

Top 3 best wings I've ever had in my life, possibly #1 I'm just still trying to process how this is even possible. This place was an amazing spot to stumble upon. They had live music, kind/fun patrons and all the Bills vibes you could ask for on a football night. Wish I lived closer, can't recommend this place enough. Also, the bar tender was fantastic as well.
Currently closed for renovation due to new owners. Does not say when they will reopen
Amazing local place with an incredible atmosphere and the best wings I have had to date; Blarney sauce is a must try. Great vibes on a Thursday night with live music and football. Bar tender made us feel welcome and had great recommendations. Look forward to going back next time I'm in the area.
From Rochester, these are the best wings I've had in a long time, if not ever. Blaney sauce.. insanely good, and wish I asked if we could purchase a jar. Will make sure to come back when in the area. Great time!!
Very nice lil tavern. Excellent food. Very friendly staff. Nice place. Prices are good.
I always stop here when I get near Salamanca. Excellent burgers. And the blarney sause is a fantastic twist on wing butter. Great on fries too.
Got the Jamie burger cause well its my wife's name..(pure coincidence).... was soooo much better than my wife :) jk just the ride to get there was pretty great and better in the fall ... if your just bored one day and need something to do it's a place to check out and have a Guinness in a glass not a can
I think it was the owner who waited on us. He was fast and friendly. The food was great!! My husband and I were out for our anniversary and love little off the wall places and this place hit the spot. It's a great little Irish pub and the atmosphere is cozy and fun. The locals at the bar were friendly and inviting and we had a wonderful lunch there! We highly recommend!!!

Greeted by smiles upon arrival and enjoyed every moment out here. What a lovely course. I really enjoyed it. Will definitely come back.
Great course! We have two foursomes and everyone loved the course. It was in great shape for being so dry so far this spring.
Drove in from out of town with friends and it was our first time at Elkdale. 1. The price does not reflect the course at all. I've played much better courses for less money and the clubhouse needs some work. 2. The lady who got us drinks at the bar was such a most rude person. All four of us said we would never golf there again just because of her. We asked for specific types of seltzers and between the eye rolls and pissy attitude, I can't believe she still has a job there.
Great overall experience. Friendly staff, golf course was in good shape. I would recommend this course to anyone. Staff in the bar were also very good.
A gem of a place. Old school course with small greens. Not overly difficult but interesting layout. We will return!
Course was gorgeous...well kept fairways and greens...everyone was very friendly...and the beer was cold
I had an incredibly disappointing experience here. We booked a tee time about a week in advance. Teed off at noon. The course was very quiet. We were on the 14th when a single golfer was catching up to our foursome, so we just waited and then let him play through. We were definitely taking our time as there was no rush. Then a Marshall came and told us we had to stop playing as there were school students on the course and we've "already been four hours". That really ruined the flavour of the round. We had no idea there was a time limit on the round. Had we known, we likely would have chosen another course or just teed off earlier. We went back to the clubhouse and they didn't offer a single solution for us. They just told us we should have been done faster and that we were told about the students being on the course before the round, which we did not. Staff didn't even care at all and only offered a rain check after the threat of sharing our experience with others. Thanks, but no thanks We played the Black Diamond course at Holiday Valley the day before and that course was much nicer, better maintained, far better greens, and at a comparable price. We regret not going back and having such a terrible time in the end at Elkdale. We'll never go back.
I would give this course 5 stars if it wasn’t for the rude and openly hostile bar staff and not just to me but to everyone in our group who had encounters with this person. The course was in excellent shape. Nice country 18 hole challenging course. Lovely views of the hills. We have played here in the past so I don’t know if the problems are due to new ownership or the bar staff just needs to retire.

Love this beach and the park in general. Plenty of room to sit and relax either in the sand or the grass. So worth the drive to spend the day.
Simply gorgeous area, will visit again, I did the hike around the lake, very easy- it’s paved about 2.7 miles. Nature is so beautiful
Red House makes my heart happy. I can sit on the hill looking at the lake and the lodge for hours.
My wife and I have been coming to this park at least twice a year for the last 15 years. We are avid outdoors people and this place has it all. Hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, swimming, biking, lounging at the beach, you name it! We usually do a cabin camp in early spring and then a tent camp in the mid or late summer. This time we just came for the day to treat ourselves to a relaxing day of literally just floating around the lake in our kayaks. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the wildlife is amazing! Back in may we saw a bobcat while we were here camping. This place never ceases to amaze me. The hikes are everything from easy paved walkways along the lake to very challenging trails through the woods up steep grades and over water. I highly suggest the three sisters trail!! It's pretty short but it is extremely exhausting and a very rewarding feeling once you reach the end! We already can't wait to come back in a month or so!
We parked by the beach to access Beehunter Hiking Trail. It was a beautiful hike two miles up to the creek and back. Even my grandsons had fun. Allegany State Park is beautiful I’ve been coming here for 52 years and love every visit.
I love the atmosphere. One walk around the lake sets my day rolling. The most peaceful time is in the coolness of the morning. The birds are talking, fish jumping, there’s so much movement in the trees.
I came here with my family off-season. The wooden playground was unique, with lots of fun elements that the kids really enjoyed, including a zip line, digging area with an "excavator," swings and climbing structures. The restrooms were nearby and open. There's a pavilion, picnic area and second playground across the road (Beehunter pavilion).
My father grew up in Salamanca. Used to make annual trips to Allegany State Park! This was a Daycation Fall Foliage visit. Everything was beautiful. We also had a very nice lunch in the restaurant in the Administration Bldg!!
