Volcanic-sand beach for diving & snorkeling, featuring regular visits from bottle-nosed dolphins.

We booked a dolphin-watching tour through Klook. We arrived early in the morning, before sunrise, to board the boat. It took about an hour to reach the dolphin-watching spot, and during the journey, we enjoyed the stunning beauty of the sunrise over the sea. The calm, early-morning atmosphere made the experience even more peaceful and magical. Along with us, there were hundreds of other boats heading to the same destination. When the time came, the dolphins began to appear, swimming in pods and occasionally leaping out of the water. We were lucky to see them playing around our boat three times, which made the experience even more special. The dolphins were lively and playful, creating a joyful atmosphere for everyone onboard. The tour also offered an option to swim with the dolphins, but I wouldn’t recommend it since it’s challenging to spot them underwater amidst so many boats and the movement in the water. The experience was truly breathtaking, and the boat captain was delighted by our satisfied smiles. On the way back, we noticed the crystal-clear water and the beautiful coral reefs beneath the surface. Besides dolphin-watching, this is also an excellent spot for snorkeling and exploring the underwater scenery, making it a must-visit destination for nature lovers.
I spent a night in Lovina. It’s a big change from Seminyak or Ubud — less traffic, fewer crowds, and way more peace. The early morning dolphin tour was the highlight: we saw several pods swimming around the boat as the sun rose. Magical, even if there were a few too many boats at times. The beach itself isn’t the white sand you might expect, it’s black volcanic sand, which is cool in its own right. I also visited Banjar Hot Springs and the Brahmavihara monastery nearby, both worth a stop if you’re into nature and spirituality. Not much of a party scene here, which was perfect for me. Some nice cafes and warungs, and the locals were very welcoming. Overall, a good place to unwind and enjoy a quieter side of Bali.
Early start .had to be there 6am for sunrise .630am on boat out at sea watching dolphins 🐬 👌 best book your own boat saves sharing with idiots. Our skipper was brilliant .
Overall: Arrived at 515am. The air there in the morning was FRESH, I felt my smokey lungs getting a cleanse which breathing in the air. Hire a private boat it costs about 700k. Sharing is painful, watching how others had 8 people squeezing on 1. Boat runs slower with that much weight also. View: Spectacular, to view the sunrise. Water was so chill with no waves at all. However, I really hope the village people start taking care of this beautiful sea that they are blessed with. The water is clear but filled with rubbish. If this were to continue they would slowly destroy marine lives and dolphins may just start migrating. Dolphins: Left for the sea at 6am sharp. All of them have a group to communicate to each other if they sight dolphins which honestly is smart for the first batch but not after. Imagine 40-50 boats flying at high speed to a group of 5 dolphins. They just gonna end up hiding. Even after they hide and reappear, everyone just starts chasing it also… 700k for 2hours, only saw the dolphin 3 times. Would suggest going around 8am to 10am when the Dolphins are most active and that they’ve gathered together to come out to play.
The sunset are spectacular. There are restaurants and shops. I didn't like the many tour guides trying to get you on dolphin tours and vendors trying to sell us things. I guess that's normal in most of Asian countries. It becomes a little annoying when you want to have some peace.
PRO: the Lovina beach is reasonably quiet, always a spot in natural shadow to put your towel, not very touristy. The water is shallow hence good for children to play in. CON: it's literally littered with... litter. It's sad to see how much garbage is dumped here. A boy was sweeping sand off a little bridge on the beach and looked dismayed when I stepped over it... when the whole beach is covered in plastic bags, cups, straws and what not. They have projects on saving sea turtles yet keep dumping all their garbage in/near the sea... 😞
I drove 2.5h from Batur to see this place. There isnt a point to be here. Black sand, a lot of boats close to the beach and „dolohin” offers just for old turists, definitely not for travellers. This is even worse than beach in Kuta…
Finally visiting Bali’s northern black fine sand beach. We came to public part for sunset but it was too cloudy. Strange that someone collecting money only from foreigners for parking with some explanation to support villagers . Beach was not supper clean as many rubbish was there. Boys playing volleyball, some walking or running on the beach. We spent most of time on wooden pier relaxing and enjoying the views

Not bad for a small hotel in a small town. The rooms are spacious, tidy, and clean. There's a mini fridge and a smart TV, but no telephone. They also provide basic toiletries, and the hot water works fine. It's not far from the famous Lovina beach, in fact, it's within walking distance.
Very recomended and comportable 🙏

We had a great time at Krisna Funtastic Land! It’s a perfect place for a fun family day out. There are so many rides and activities for both kids and adults to enjoy. The park was clean, well-organized, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was lively, and we loved seeing everyone having such a good time. It’s also a very affordable way to spend a few hours with the family. We created so many happy memories here — definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area!
had dinner here with my business partners, and it was a great choice! the place is super cozy, the service is excellent, and the food was delicious. one thing is that the water on girls toilet somehow doesn’t work 🤦🏻‍♀️
We visited on a Tuesday evening, arrived around 6PM. 2 kids (7 and 8). It's not really a theme park, rather a fairground. There are 2 tickets: a basic ticket (85k; entry only) and a full ticket (250k; entry plus every ride ONE time). 3 of the main rides (including the ferris wheel) were closed but you don't get a compensation for it, can't do an extra ride on something else. If you want to do extra rides, you pay extra - and those, too, have inflated prices for foreigners. The park was deserted and in dire need of repairs. Most attractions were really old, damaged or out of order. There was only 1 5D film on show and since there isn't really a lot else to do AND I specifically asked if it was appropriate for children, we went in to see it. It was some kind of dated horror/monster film, my 7 year old was completely freaked out. There are only 10-12 working attractions, all of which are old and very basic (I would not recommend going with children over 8 or 9 years old if you are used to European/American/Australian theme parks). There are no queues so it took us just an hour to do all of them. Staff are friendly but there are more of them than there are visitors. The kids had a good time but they don't pay the bills of course and frankly I don't think it's worth the money. Indonesians pay 105k which is a fair price seeing how basic and decrepit the attractions are. For 14€ per person (250k) there are way better playgrounds in Europe (Belgium/Netherlands) with more modern equipment and better safety instructions where the kids can play all day. Now I paid 42€ for 1 hour which is just not worth it. There is a restaurant with some very simple fast food options on the menu, but that too was mostly deserted.
The price was a little bit overprice and not worth compared with the rides there. This place actually has really potencial to be one of the best amusement park in Bali, but need maintenance in some aspects
Great place to go with young kids - opens from 4pm and closes 10pm. Recommend to go when the sun goes down so you can see the light installations in which there was a boat that took us through a venetian style canal which gives a great view of the lights. Our kids liked the train and the merry go round. 😀
This is really good place for family and kids !! Really good staff and so much care with all kids about safety!! Keep up your great work team
It's ok. A few attractions. Not big at all. It's Fun not Funtastic. Within 3 minutes you have seen the whole park. There are 2 options for tickets. 1. Only pay the entrance ticket and then pay for every attraction. Or 2. Pay ticket including all attractions 1 time.
A good recreational park in the city. The price is very affordable. Me and my sister's family had so much fun. But I think it could be improved with adding more attractions and spacious area to make it more attractive.

We rode our scooters out to a tiny sign pointing to Sing Sing Waterfall. There were a couple guys there that wanted to be guides for us as we hiked up to the first two of three falls. We wandered through a teak tree farm with giant leaves on the teak trees. The first falls was an almost flat walk up to the falls. It is a pretty falls but not as impressive as the second. The trek up the side of the canyon really got steep and would have been really tough if it were raining but after 10 or 15 minutes we arrived at the second falls. We stripped down to our suits and headed in to the pool and then stood under the falls. It has enough height that it is uncomfortable under the falling water. After a refreshing swim and a few photos we headed back. Awesome little hike to take.
Dry, unfortunately. As others have said, can access via singsing resort through staircase opposite bar (near lookout). <5min walk, early but overgrown. Buy a meal to support the staff while you're there, the view over the North coast is amazing.
We visited during the rainy season and had a nice time, lots of water. We walked up to the Sing Sing resort and asked them about the falls. They were very kind and showed us a staircase down to the second falls in the back of the resort. The stairs were very overgrown with weeds and there were mosquitos so have bug spray. Some climbing required to get to the water. Much prettier than the first falls based on the pictures I saw. We had the place to ourselves. We had a nice lunch at the resort after with an amazing view. This was a good way to avoid the local 'guides' who want money.
Scary experience especially by yourself. Parked across the street and they wanted me to pay for what I thought it was worth. The parking was basically in someone’s front yard. We then had two guys take us through what you could hardly call a path. We also did not ask for guides but definitely couldn’t have even found the way without them. Needed to walk through the water and soaked our shoes. Honestly felt as though we were being taken to be kidnapped. We only made it to the first waterfall as the water was so heavy we would have had to trek through the water to continue on the path and we just wanted to get out of there. So I suggest not going alone if you feel as though you must do this but there are plenty of other waterfalls in bali to visit that feel much safer and are much better paths. Once we returned they asked us to lay them when we never even asked for guides in the first place. Our worst and scariest experience in Bali.
I’d give 4 stars for the experience but the falls themselves aren’t spectacular so 3 stars. We chose Sing-Sing because its the only waterfall in reasonable walking distance from our villa. We opted to do what Alex Hummel suggested- walk to the Sing Sing Resort. From our villa it took about 1 hr and 30 mins along a lovely back track through the villages. Note there’s a very steep climb to the resort at the end, but we are in our early 40’s with low-moderate fitness and we managed, so you can too. We ate lunch there, the food was very nice (North Bali is still recovering from the pandemic- do visit now as it’s quiet), enjoyed the spectacular view to the ocean, and then went down to the waterfall via the stairs at the back of the resort. As described they were very overgrown (maybe the resort will clip the bush back when they get customers again) and definitely take insect repellent. But it’s short and only slightly perilous. It was raining and it was ok. I had a refreshing swim and we had the place completely to ourselves!!! We did not see any of these pushy touts others described, and the waterfall was free. A beautiful day of exploring the region for us. Note we went in wet season- March 2023.
Great waterfall, but we couldn't swim since the water was too strong after the rain. You can either ask someone to guide you there following the stream upwards or go directly to Sing Sing Resort Lovina and walk down a long and overgrown stairway which ends at the waterfall.
No entrece fee but a small parking fee. You can park in front of the strance. You have to do a small hike to get to the waterfall but it not much, also keep going to get to the viewer point
💦 Wow! 💦 Such an amazing and cool waterfall especially in raining season. Easy to find but drive not to far up hill. It's a easy 300 meter walk 👣 to the waterfall. I read on the internet about a second waterfall. We couldn't cross to the other side because there was too much water coming down. Definitely worth visiting!

interesting actual library. extensive collection of bahasa, dutch and english books in fiction and nonfiction plus comics and picture books (with improper nonfiction classification but that’s ok). probably more languages too that I didn’t see. not amazingly modern but I found some good books. staff small and quiet. 2 floors with what seems to be a no frills reading room. capable of handling small classes for the community. seems tourists can make an account and check out books for like 40k. worth a visit for sure if you in the area for a while; good for young kids too. recommended.
Found few of my favorite international writers, the ambience is so homey. Feels like a local domestic library. Love!!
Library is permanently closed. We tried to visit on 11/23/23 and the neighbor said it was no more.
Nice little library here in Lovina. Surprising ammount of English books, with dutch and German and of course indonesian books as well. Friendly staff also :)
I love this place. It has many collections and varied in themes. The place is comfortable. Coming here cwould be a perfect option to spend one of a long school holiday with your children.

It is restored but a consecrated Buddhist Stupe with a little tempek in it. Very nice.
Bit run down and no information about the landmark. Kind of thought it was worth the trip but you just walk in, check over the temple fence, take a photo and leave. Really nice structure and respectfully it is a beautiful area, however I don't think it's for tourists anymore (as maybe Google maps would have you believe).
A very small place to stop. Not a lot to see and not a lot of information about it. No tickets or entry fee. There’s only one main structure and a small gate. Not worth making a trip for, but if you’re driving by, why not
If you’re passing by, this place is a nice stop for a few minutes. It’s a pleasant and charming spot for a short break.
Lovely calm space. Nice chat with the gardener / caretaker. Be at peace
Great quick stop to have a look at this amazing little archaeological site! If you are in Lovina, this place is an awesome, I always feel an amazing energy/presence at old places of worship and this place gives off that exact vibe! It’s incredible to think that at some point in time this was probably the villages central point of life, yet when I visited we were the only people there. It is apparently from the 9th century and it has been rebuilt but nonetheless it was cool! I’ve actually been to Lovina around 40 times and didn’t even know it existed only 5 mins from my house, go check it out!
Beautiful place. It is small buddhist temple reconstructed according to excavations that were found 1.3 m underground. It it pleasant quiet place with a pleasant nice atmosphere.
Quite an unusual find in the middle of nowhere. Looked poorly maintained though at the time I visited

One of the best and most excellent taxi in Lovina Singaraja, the car is clean, the air conditioner is cold, the service is friendly, the driver is handsome and sweet, good at speaking, good at finding tourist attractions in Bali, the car is also clean inside and out, does not make you motion sickness, the service from the driver is also very good and kind, the price is very cheap and does not drain your pocket, the music in the car is also good, the taxi is cheap, the service is very good and the best, the taxi picks up its guests on time, guaranteed not to make you regret it if you book this taxi, thank you for the service you gave me🥰🥰😊
We bought a tour around the surroundings of Lovina. Perhaps we misunderstood the sellers, as their English was very poor. We thought that entrance tickets to the places we visited would be included in the price. In the end, we paid €55 just for transportation and €45 for all the entrance tickets. The photo doesn't even show all the tickets. We expected a fun trip with a group, but it ended up being just for the two of us. The driver was a very nice and kind man. However, we don't like the feeling of having someone constantly around us like "service staff." Along the way, there will be many expensive places where they take you specifically to spend your money. You also buy your own food, and we don't recommend going to the restaurant they want to take you to. We try to stay positive, but our impressions of that day were more negative than positive. If I hadn't accidentally taken more money with me, we wouldn't have been able to enter the locations we were taken to.
Good driver, nice car. Service top
Very satisfied with driver Hendra. A pleasant holiday experience. Great local knowledge.

Good value for money. Smaller scale, less crowded and less fancy, but very enjoyable as a family with children (7-9 y/o). Friendly staff. We can recommend it. Just don’t expect a Waterbom park.
I was almost put off by the last few reviews earlier this week, but luckily our experience was good. The area recently has had some very heavy rains, but overall the park was in generally clean condition, with only a few slimy bits - one of which my wife slipped on. Staff were helpful and polite, andost importantly the kids had a really good time. The wave pool runs for 15min every hour so make sure you plan around this. The two large slides are 12 years + for good reason. They have mastered the art of monetizing everything, but as a tourist we're only talking a few dollars here and there so it's a total non issue.
This park is old and in need of some maintenance. Once you have paid to get in, you have to pay for a tube to ride the main attraction. Food and drinks well priced. The kids loved it.
Don’t usually write bad reviews but this place really is worth avoiding. It’s so run down and clearly got no money coming in. It is FILTHY- edges of pools covered in green algae. Bottoms of pools sharp on your feet. We spent our short amount of time here trying to not get injured or get any pool water in our mouth. Such a shame we from other reviews it is was once great. All the foot outlets are closed. There is also only 2 water slides. Silly ticket pricing (family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children is 250,000 but they will not let you purchase this unless you have exactly 2 adults and 2 children, so for 2 adults and 1 child you will pay more than for 2 children, they won’t let you buy the family ticket and just not use one child space)
Very nice place to visit, really well kept and right behind where you can buy tourist and local gifts and clothing and art. Menu included in attached photos
The waterpark was nice for two kids 4/6. Two slides and a nice small wave pool which is every hour for 15 min. Entry for my family was 300k idr (2 adults/ 2 children) You can get a waterpark debit card with that you can pay the food and also the inflated ring for the slides. 50k for the card + what you think you want to spend. If you don’t use it you will get the money back -1k idr for administration. The announcements in the water park are all in indonese, and the friendly staff translated it to us. 16:30 everything closes there and this is the LAST POSSIBILITY to get your money back from the card :) A little bit complicated (why not paying with “normal” credit card or cash inside)
I was very skeptical about this place, I thought surely there isn’t a decent water park in north Bali, but my niece wanted to go and to my surprise this place was awesome and extremely cheap! Super clean as it is brand new, the staff are super helpful and the rides and facilities were of high standards! All food and drinks were at similar prices to Indomart, entry was only 70,000, or 35,000 if you are local, I had no problems paying 70,000 because we had the place practically to ourselves and I’d love to see a awesome place like this thrive and survive. Most of the attractions are for kids which is awesome if you are a family but there was a couple rides that were strictly adults. All in all a great day, highly recommended for anyone in the north.
Its a great activity to do with kids if you have a couple of days in Lovina. There are quite a few kids slides and keeps everyone cool against the heat of Singaraja. There were only 2 adult slides but that's OK. The food was fine.
