Historic landmark home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright offering tours, gardens & a cafe.

We were absolutely blown away by this stunning architectural masterpiece, tucked away in the mountains of western PA. Even though the home is undergoing a much overdue restoration, there were still so many sights to take in, from the moment you enter the property. The grounds, visitor center, gardens and trails capture the sublime elegance of this marvel of Frank Lloyd Wright's crowning achievement. The home itself is both opulent and inviting, refined but not pretentious. It's a place that seems to invite one to relax over good conversation. Hopefully this museum can be enjoyed by many generations to come!
Parking was fairly easy with plenty of parking spots(if you selected a your time online and just show up for your scheduled time) if not parking can be much harder. Once you arrive you check in at the gate and then the pavilion at the desk in the middle and they will get you in the next tour regardless of scheduled time. The type was about an hour and it feels very scripted to stay on time. But you have time to go through parts of the house and all of the ground on your own. We found the experience to be very good and run very smoothly. The audio devices were good so you could always hear your guide even if you couldn't see them. Give this review a like 👍❤️ now please. And thanks for reading. There are restrooms at the pavilion but those are the only ones. There is a cafe with coffee and some light snacks. There is a building about the Kaufman's, if you don't know then go to that exhibit before or after your tour. There is is a gift shop with lots of stuff for your flw fix. Pro tip: Definitely but tickets online in advance for the best experience 💯
Book tickets ahead of time. Parking is easy, but you’ll need to wait for your scheduled entry. Restroom is available as well. It’s an easy walk around the site. I’ve always admired Frank Lloyd Wright’s work—Fallingwater is beautiful and unique, though it didn’t move me as much as some of his nearby designs. Still, worth visiting at least once for its remarkable setting and design.
Would have been 5 stars, but a third of the outdoor balconies are under renovation (new stucco and paint), detracting from FLW's elegant design. Didn't expect to need reservations during the fall shoulder season, but when we arrived at the gate we were told all tours were booked for the day! $20 per person to walk the grounds and the exterior of the buildings (there are two!) was well worth it, even though we didn't get to go inside.
Frank Lloyd Wright was a genius! I was fortunate enough to tour this on a ninth grade field trip; decades later privileged to revisit this architectural marvel. The harmony between nature and home, water actually runs through the home, with a pool, plunge pool, stairs that descend into the stream and of course, falling water. Step back in time to see how the ultra wealthy Kaufmann’s spent weekends or holidays outside of Pittsburgh. Original furnishings, appliances and priceless art await you as if you stepped back in time. The in-depth tour was exceptional; Ron C. and all the staff are rightfully passionate about the preservation and sharing of this one of a kind masterpiece! Recommend making reservations for tours well in advance. There is free dedicated parking. Please note the tours are not ADA friendly with uneven ground and narrow rock stairs.
So spectacular to see one of the most iconic homes ever built in person, again - the first time I was here was in June of 2020 and the health restrictions kept us from touring the inside, so this fall season view and inside tour of the magical Fallingwater masterpiece of Frank Lloyd Wright was all I'd hoped for and more! Frank's a family favorite, and I've toured many homes and displays of his work in NY, IL, VA, PA, OR, CA and AZ, but this one takes you to another place and time more distinctly. Hearing the little extra details of the family, their style, the furniture, the history from its construction to its endowment, and the maintenance of such a monstrous endeavor plus current renovations were all fascinating! The only thing that could possibly make it better was if it was a Bed & Breakfast and you could have your morning coffee with Frank and the owners themselves. To live in a FLW house must truly be a magical existence. I booked a tour, and recommend doing so in advance.
Stopped here while in the area. House and grounds tours were sold out so all we could do was the $20 property pass. It was well worth it. It was a beautiful day and we were able to follow the well marked paths, look in the windows and even walk on all the patios and porches of the home and carriage/guest house. The walk to the lookout is worth it as well. If you have any interest in FLW, or architecture, this is not to be missed.
We had a wonderful tour guide that provided information on this house & the that lived & vacation there. The house is amazing everything is be conserved to protect it for the future. The grounds were beautiful. Lots of trails to walk & explore. We tried but the rain wouldn’t cooperate. The have a nice cafe with drinks, bake goods & sandwiches.

I have actually been to this camp a few times for youth group retreats back in the day. It's unclear where to park. I did in the event parking but I think you should pull down Old Braddock Road, there's a small dirt lot. It also wasn't entirely clear if I was on private property, but everything online seems to give an open vibe and I passed several camp employees who simply waved. The first 6 holes are just wide open chucks in the field. They play around the campus of the camp. There's nothing of real challenge. The back 12 change things up. I liked this part of the course. You are playing along the historic Braddock Road from colonial times. The land is old growth forest with big ancient trees and a lot of cool mossy stumps and things. The course design itself makes use of the trail roads. You are mostly asked to throw 200 foot razor line shots with jail on both sides. The course is not championship ready but it's not meant to be. There are no tees. The baskets are pretty old. The par system here is obviously designed to make beginners feel good. All that said, this is a great course for a drive on a day off work.
Its at a Christian summer camp. The first few holes go right through campus. There are kids and random people all over the fairway running back and forth. In the woods the fairways are crazy narrow and there is soo much knee high ferns all around. Its amazing we didnt hit any children or lose a disc.

This is the place where the house called falling water is located and it’s gorgeous. I said wow out loud.
What a beautiful park. With many trails. They probably have nine different loops anywhere from 2 mi up to 9 MI. It is really beautiful the way it meanders along the streams. If you go right now you will see Mount laurels in full bloom. It was a perfect day. Hardly anyone goes there.
Paved parking lot, ample parking, behind the barn at falling waters which is the parking lot for this trail. Did the orange loop. Trails seemed to be pretty well marked with metal markers. There were a few places that were harder to figure out but lots of leaves at this time of the year. Trail is mostly rocks and tree roots. Just be careful of your footing. We like of did the trail backwards starting at the end of the loop. Didn't think it was too hard in level of difficulty. Some hills but nothing major.
An experience with nature! Must visit when in Pennsylvania.
Beautiful! The grounds are keep in great shape. Due to covid we were unable to go inside of the house. You can still look inside and see quite abit of the interior. It is an absulely amazing place. I would live to live here.
For some reason Google Maps is calling Falling Water this. We loved the tour and the house. Wow,what insight and ingenuity to design and create such a magnificent house. The architecture is amazing, and the job that the workers had to do to create this dream in the middle of the forest and along a wild river is astounding. It is a definite must see.
Awesome night at campsite 3. Room for one hammock, plenty of room for tents. Had a hard time finding a tree that had limbs low enough for my bear bag, but managed to find one that worked. Quiet and peaceful, water source very close, fairly easy 2 mile hike in. Update- I've stayed at a few of the other campsites over the last few months. Had a great time at each. All had plenty of room for a tent or 2, and I had no problem finding suitable hanging trees for my hammock. Thankful for the chance to get away close to home
Pleasant hiking area, well maintained. Good alternative if you want to mix it up and avoid Ohiopyle
