This place is just doing everything right. Stunning views, gardens, orchards, mature trees, accents around every corner. No doubt the wedding photos are breathtaking. Love and attention to detail is sewn into every space at Grelen. The gift shop is truly entertaining to be in, and the food/drink offerings are fantastic. I'm dairy and gluten free and had a delicious sandwich and two different GF/DF soups that were phenomenal. The iced coffee was also on point (decaf was available, and they even offer oat milk). The trails are well maintained and marvelous. My only suggestion would be to offer more dairy free ice cream flavors, maybe vanilla and chocolate, so folks aren't left with only sorbet as an option. LOVE LOVE LOVE the Market at Grelen every time we go, and always can't wait to go back!
From one wedding photographer to all the lovely couples out there, I wholeheartly recommend this venue! The staff are a pleasure to work with and the scenery is simply stunning. If you're considering any of the Grelen locations for your special day, rest assured you've stumbled upon a piece of Virginia heaven!
The staff, as usual, were amazing. The sights, smells, and colors filled our senses. The food and beverage selection was terrific. Our walk around the trails provided several wonderful sights and sounds. We will definitely be returning often!
Highly recommend this venue!!!! Had an absolutely beautiful wedding and experience at the Market. The venue has everything a plant-lover could ever want! This location offers hiking trails, antique shopping, lunch cafe, and more for your guests to enjoy. Our wedding vision had lots of greenery, and integrating this venue's natural beauty and plants made our vision come true! Nichole is a pleasure to work with. Love this place and will forever be grateful our wedding took place here!
The Market at Grelen provided the perfect backdrop for our garden party themed wedding! The setting is absolutely breathtaking, and Grelen has plenty of lovely options for ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour locations. There are so many things that make Grelen special, but some of our favorite bits of Grelen magic were the stunning spring florals, getting to take sunset photos at the Orchard Overlook, and having their homemade ice cream served at our reception. We also loved working with Nicole and Rey! There really is no place like Grelen. We can’t wait to return again and again for many years to come.
As a photographer who loves working with natural light, The Market at Grelen has always been one of those places that just delivers every time. The scenery is honestly breathtaking. You can do your ceremony out in the field or in the garden area, and both are beautiful in their own way. Just depends on the vibe you want for your day. For portraits, the hilltop is one of my favorite spots. There are so many areas to choose from and the light up there is incredible. Sunsets are usually unreal, and on clear nights you can even catch a few stars for some evening shots. The vendor team at Grelen has always been so kind and welcoming. Every time I’m there it just feels easy, like everyone’s on the same page. It’s one of those venues where you can’t really take a bad photo. The quality of light, the views, the atmosphere — it all comes together perfectly.
We truly can't say enough good things about Market at Grelen. From our very first visit, we knew it was something special. Nichole welcomed us and she asked everyone's names (and remembered them, too!), which honestly set the tone for how personal and thoughtful the entire experience would be. Some venues we visited didn’t even ask who we were, but Nichole took the time to get to know us as a couple and helped guide us every step of the way. One moment that really stood out—on a visit with our family (we hadn’t let them know we were coming), Nichole still recognized us and came right over to say hi. That kind of personal touch and care is so rare and meant the world to us, especially when planning something as big and emotional as a wedding. On the big day, the Market at Grelen team went above and beyond. They helped with food, drinks, logistics. Basically an extra wedding planner when we needed it most. Every detail felt handled with love and professionalism. And the venue itself? Absolutely breathtaking. The glass tent is a dream come true, and we had the most perfect day we could have imagined. If you’re considering Grelen, do it. It’s stunning, well-priced, and filled with genuinely kind people who will make you feel like the most special couple in the world. Also get the ice cream!! We can’t wait to come back in the future and show our kids where it all began!!!
Loved the venue for my son’s wedding, the weather was just perfect. Nicole as my contact was great to help address all our planning and vendor meetings. Wish I can rewind the day to do it again !!!

My children and I visited Liberty Mills Farm this past Saturday to celebrate my twins’ birthday, and it was truly the experience of a lifetime. It was our very first visit, and from the moment we arrived, we were so impressed by the kindness and warmth of every staff member from the younger team to the older staff throughout the property. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure guests were having a great time. We purchased the all day tickets, and honestly, we loved it so much that we were already talking about returning the following weekend, and we live an hour and a half away. The food was incredible, and we enjoyed every bite at the picnic tables while laughing and spending time together. Several staff members even came by just to say how happy they were to see us enjoying ourselves. After the two shorter mazes, we relaxed with warm apple cider by the fire while waiting for the flashlight maze to begin. The staff made sure the firepit stayed well stocked so everyone could stay cozy with the fire roaring. The property itself was beautifully maintained, with clear instructions throughout to ensure everyone could have a safe and fun experience while respecting the grounds. My boys especially loved the large playground area as it’s beautifully tended to with incredible equipment for kiddos to get their energy out. It was such a fun playground that my pre-teen boys asked to play there twice in between our fun at the mazes. Inside the mazes, there were emergency exits clearly marked, and even coolers with cold water available on an honor system. A true reflection of the trust and community spirit here. During the flashlight maze, my knee began to swell from an old injury as we made our way through the maze for about an hour, and though we were disappointed to cut it short, the kindness we experienced was unforgettable. A young staff member noticed my children and I giggling in the dark maze trying to find our way through and kindly checked to see if we needed help and noticed me limping and asked if he could assist in any way. I assured him I was used to my knee flaring up. When we exited, an older gentleman warmly greeted us at the front of the maze as we walked down the road from the emergency exit. He mentioned seeing us throughout the day and said that he hoped we were having a great time. When I mentioned we were on our last maze, but my knee was acting up from an old injury, he acted with genuine concern, offering to drive me and my children to my vehicle in his gator. He ensured I was okay before we walked away and I chatted with him about the wonderful experience we were having. His thoughtfulness truly touched my heart. To the owners and staff: thank you for creating something so special. You have built more than just a maze. You’ve created memories that last forever. You’ve touched hearts, including ours, in ways words can barely describe. We hope you know what a gift you’ve given to your community and to families like ours. We hope you know the huge significance you made on our hearts in your beautiful, small town.
Liberty Farm Corn Maze is such a charming and well-organized spot! 🌽✨ They have plenty of parking, which made arrival stress-free, and the whole place feels thoughtfully put together. After tackling their mega corn maze, it’s lovely to stroll through their beautiful flower fields—definitely a highlight! The maze itself is a lot of fun, especially with the friendly “corny humans” walking around to help any lost souls. The panic button is a clever touch that made navigating easier. My only wish is that we could explore the maze when the corns are still green—it was still fun, but green corns would be magical. A delightful surprise was seeing basil flowers for the first time—I absolutely loved them! I even tried to buy some, but sadly, they don’t sell them. Overall, Liberty Farm is a fun, relaxing, and picturesque outing—I’d definitely recommend it for a family adventure or just a day of fall fun! 🌼💛
Every time I have gone, Liberty Mills has been exceptional and left me with beautiful memories with family and friends. They have always been accommodating. Any reviews stating that they have too many rules but no understand what it takes to work in Agriculture. Many bad reviews are from parents that have just as hard of a time reading rules as their kids have- except most the kids can’t even read so at least they have an excuse. Farms are hugely dangerous places. To have such a fun place, there must be rules. If a group member can’t follow simple rules, that makes total sense why that would result in a person being asked to leave. This farm is also their home. If someone dies or burns the place down on accident, they will have to go back to their home where that happened every night. They don’t deserve something like that after providing so much joy and so many good memories for this community and the entry country. Which is why they ask you follow rules. It is a wonderful place and is worthy of their accolades for being one of the best corn mazes in the country. The family who runs Liberty Mills took a huge risk to move here and to try this business model. They’ve done a wonderful job and was a blueprint for many similar places in the area to create similar experiences- lifting up our agriculture community as a whole. Cast expectations aside and give this place a shot this November 1,2025. They deserve the biggest thank you and job well done. Let’s all go out and support and show what customers are supposed to be like! Cough cough- opposite of those folks that left bad reviews here that can’t follow simple rules and treat people and land with respect and dignity.
We enjoyed the farm in the early afternoon Oct 13 with our family and some friends. Corny jokes are central here as is love and respect for the agriculture, people, and history. The staff is kind and helpful. Please note that Liberty Mills Farm is just that, a farm. One should expect nothing more than tractors, corn, pumpkins, land, and love. The maze is a unique opportunity to enjoy a simple thrill of wondering a maze. Some may not characterize it as a thrill and that is okay. Thank you Liberty Mills Farm for sharing something unique with us for all these years.
Best place to go have fun ever! Super friendly staff, great kids play area, wonderful country store. They are absolutely incredible! There are VERY simple basic rules to follow for the safety of everyone and to protect the actual crop that makes up the mazes. 10/10 best place in Virginia.
My fiancé and I came up here. It was an absolute blast, the corn maze is spectacular with trivia! The pumpkin patch was great! We got tea and some other food items at the shop and the taste is amazing. Will be back and buy more fudge!
Liberty Mills Farm is, without a doubt, the ultimate destination for fall family fun. I’ve been coming with family and friends since 2018. We visited again two weeks ago and were completely blown away by the organization, the atmosphere, and the maze! This is far more than just a farm; it's an annual tradition waiting to happen. The famous corn maze is a masterpiece—challenging enough for adults but perfectly manageable for kids with the interactive passport options. The entire property is well maintained, making for a beautiful and safe afternoon.
My girlfriend and I visited this past weekend and had a great time! As a queer couple, we were a bit nervous about the location, but we felt very welcomed and were treated very kindly. Food and activities were a bit expensive, but as is to be expected from a family run farm. Most of the pumpkins in the pumpkin picking patch were rotted or broken, but we did go rather late in the season and were still able to find some pretty pumpkins to take home. The staff were very polite and the apple cider slushy floats are a must have! All in all a fun outing (: This was our first time visiting and we hope to be back soon!
