My husband and I booked ourselves a little weekend get away and had a fabulous time! The room was clean, no awful smells, shower had a floor mat and bar for grip. No pool but a fitness centre visit with the some essentials. Staff is wonderful and always greeted us with a smile and warm welcome. The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast itself, but has a free tea and coffee room and two restaurants in the casino, a quick minutes walk. Which also has a covered walk way too! The casino has live tables and lots of slot machines with different credit values. Something for everyone’s budget. We didn’t win big this time, but maybe next time because we’ll be back for sure!
We had a wonderful dining experience at the restaurant inside the Great Blue Heron. The food was absolutely worth it—flavorful, warm, and generously portioned. The servings were more than sufficient hat my family and I were able to share, making it even more enjoyable. The plating was well done, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. On top of that, the service was excellent—the staff was incredibly polite, helpful, and welcoming. We left completely satisfied and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend, the only suggestion we have is additional food on the menu if possible.
It smells very musty upon entering, the hotel is very outdated. I understand since this is on a property with a casino the owners may not want to include any amenities, but since this is the only fairly decent hotel in Port Perry that is pet friendly we stayed here. Almost $400 a night, no meals included, no pool, it took a long time for the room to cool down (no air conditioning running when we went in the room) We weren’t interested in the casino; we wanted to visit beautiful Port Perry on our last stop of our week long road trip. Port Perry didn’t disappoint, but this motel did. It’s too bad. They could really take advantage of being a large hotel in a beautiful area.
Clean, beautiful rooms. Comfortable beds and pillows. Friendly staff. Complimentary morning coffee in the Eatery is robust and flavourful. Restaurant in the Casino serves amazing meals - generous portions - delicious.
NO WIFI. good experience, casino entry for ID is an unnecessary interrogation. I’m 36 and Asian, felt targeted just for looking Asian and the other ethnic bodies just walked in. But I had a good time either way. Lots of parking and slot machines were nice. Some table games. No water or drinks in sight. Couldn’t even find a place to signup for the membership. Would only come back really if I’m in the area, it’s very remote.
The room was clean and welcoming. A card and chocolates were left on the bed for us as we were celebrating our anniversary. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast. The service at the restaurant was impeccable and the food was fantastic. The casino staff were knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend. We will go back on our next trip to Canada!
The hotel is very nice and clean. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. They have a room where you can get coffee for free in the morning. I think they should also offer some orange and apple juice for the none coffee or tea drinkers. The staff are great! As far as the casino goes, it could be better. I don't expect to win, but I would like to be able to play, please.
We visited the Casino. We hadn’t been to it in over a decade. It appears that they’ve renovated since then as the interior looked different from how I remember. Staff was nice, however I felt the casino had a lot of slot machines (which isn’t unusual) and then some blackjack tables. They had two roulette tables, but only one operating. I swear they used to have more. The roulette table was crowded by what looked like regulars. It didn’t feel welcoming or easy access, so I just left. For a 45 min drive to Port Perry, I’m not sure I’ll be back.

Beautiful winery with quite a history and background. The owner is a beautiful person. She is welcoming and super excited to explain things in her store. Their wine is good but farm, setting and outside sitting area are awesome. Please visit, you will feel special to be there. A beautiful experience today.
We visited Ocala Winery with the family and had such a great time! The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were so kind and helpful. The kids loved walking around and picking out apples — they were crisp, sweet, and absolutely delicious! We also tried a few wines, and everything tasted wonderful. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful family outing. We’ll definitely be back!
Such a beautiful winery, they have all kind of wine for every palate, plus cider. You can pick apples from trees with your family or enjoy one or more of their flight of wine/cider with your special one.
Ventured out to Ocala today, great country drive. Greeted by the owner after we pulled in, very pleasant lady. Went here with 2 other girlfriends. Worked out well since we all ordered different flights. Sampled 12 wines. The ladies inside are very friendly and informative. It was a wonderful way to spend our afternoon chatting with other wine lovers. We purchased wine and apples. We had a tour of the grounds. The barn is gorgeous and holds events. Great way to chill out today. Will definitely go back!
Lynn, the very friendly owner is amazing! She allowed us to explore the campground which looks fun and exciting. You can also pick your own apple here. The white chickens are very pretty.
Great visit to Ocala winery and orchard..delicious apples and great venue and cider and wine
We came across Ocala randomly on our look for a winery. At first glance it has a beautiful orchard with tons of apples to pick from. We were greeted by Franca who was lovely and helped us with our wine tasting! The wine selections are amazing and it’s such a nice spot to relax as well. I definitely will be coming back again! Thank you Franca for an amazing experience:)
This spot is great for a family outing. We had fun snacking and tasting all kinds of apples.

Absolutely recommend. It was an interesting place full of beautiful old stuff that has great stories behind them. Make sure to check the operation hours.
Outdoor play presented inside the tent on the grounds. Wonderful setting for a great performance by local theatre company, Theatre On The Ridge. Highly recommend! They put on several different plays throughout the summer season -- It's a must do!
This is a pretty nice museum with many of great artifacts and buildings. Not as large as other villages but cute and a nice way to spend your day. The price is great too and not expensive. We all loved it.
We got a personal guided tour and they showed us how to use some of the tools. My kids aged 9 and 11 were curious and interested and asked many questions.
Thank you Kaylie for an interesting tour through the history of Scugog Island. And fantastic information on the Caesar's Cemetery.
Visiting the buildings here felt like travelled through the time machine to the 1800's. Seeing the Blacksmith shop that's still functional. Woodright shop on ancient woodworking crafts. Beef ring in pre-refrigeration era. Lee House, Cabins, the head school and the church. Lots of antiques and history being preserved. Worth the visit.
This is a well laid out museum with lots of great artifacts spread out over several buildings and barns! Price was budget friendly too. Wife and I really enjoyed this look into the past. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to see this, but if you're in the area I suggest not missing it. Caution: I had my hands deep into the interesting items when I was told display items are not to be touched.
I am a huge fan of Dog Days of Scugog. Plenty of events. Great vendors, lots of Rescues

Date/Time of Visit: September 27 approx 3pm. First visit to Nature's Bounty. Upon turning into into the entrance drive straight down towards the tent on the left. You'll be greeted by a friendly staff member to clearly explain everything you need to know for your visit and amazing picking experience. We went to pick apples which was a combination of Gala, Blondie & Silken. Many other varieties are available in the orchard but not ready for picking yet. The layout of the orchard is really nice and well kept.
Farm was large. We did apple picking, with tons of varieties of apples available. They have a herd of sheep. We had fun on the corn maze, too. They have a bakery that has fresh butter tarts, pies and apple ciders. They have pumpkins now, too. They have a food truck for a pizza which takes a while (45mins) to make. They have picnic tables. It was fun!!
Such a cute farm! Well-maintained with lots of other activities, including a shop and corn maze. Staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful. Admission is 1 pick-your-own per 2 people. Appreciated the signage indicating which types of apples were ready for picking. Would definitely recommend!
Little sad it’s not our family’s little secret anymore, but good to see this farm flourish over the years. Wonderful selection of apples. I went at the end of October and there was still a good variety left.
I had an amazing experience at Nature's Bounty Farm! The apple picking was fantastic – the orchard was beautiful, and there were plenty of fresh, delicious apples to choose from. It was a perfect way to enjoy a beautiful day outdoors. After picking, I treated myself to a pecan butter tart and some apple cider, both of which were absolutely delicious. The tart was rich and flavorful, and the cider was the perfect complement to the day. Overall, it was a fun and memorable outing. I highly recommend visiting Nature's Bounty Farm for a delightful, family-friendly experience!
Good farm to visit with small children. Closer together to walk around and not too expensive. Apple picking was simple and less walking distance compared with others. Recommended for short visits too with children just to be in nature and buy from the shop.
We did apple picking in this place. The apples were just amazing, super sweet and crispy. There are many varieties of apple, peppers and pumpkins to pick. Friendly staff and nice place for kids to have farm experience and good fun 👍 We have done picking many times in other farms before, but I’ve never had apples this good!! Will keep going to this place just for their apples 👌
This is a super fun family place. We really enjoyed our time. The apple picking was really nice with various kinds to choose from. The wood fired pizza was surprisingly delicious. Better than so many pizza places out there. The apple cider is really good and I suggest you either buy a bottle or try a cup at the store. The obstacle course is a fun addition for kids. The maze is fun as well and is a good challenge. All in all it was an awesome experience and we definitely recommend it. Prices are also reasonable for what they offer.

Not sure why there are mini parks located within that same park. You can easily walk the whole park. Nice little walk. Lake close to the shore pretty dirty and polluted but if you don’t walk close you don’t see that and the view is still very nice and pleasant. Dog friendly. Lot of dogs on a leash. Nice playground for kids to have fun and spend energy. There is some space in the grass if you wish to do some picnic. Looks clean and well maintained. Depending if you decide walking on the grass further after the fitness outdoor area? It can be lightly muddy after a rainy day. Construction site type washrooms available. Some were pretty big compared to the normal ones. And luckily we’re not too dirty (pretty rare for this kind of washrooms). Free parking access the streets. Parallel type parking. There is also a Municipal Green P parking. A lot of bakeries and coffee shops in the Main Street getting down to the park.
Awesome waterfront park on the edge of downtown Port Perry. There are a lot of chairs set up with views of the lake. It has a cool gazebo that is pretty big. The grass area is nice to just sit in. Also, the playground is big and modern looking with a splash park. There is a small Farmer's Market at the end during the summer months. Great spot!
Palmer park has been on my list to try for a while now. The park looks lovely- a quaint small town park that’s buzzing with excitement. Right opposite is an ice cream place that’s super popular! There’s a ton of muskoka chairs to relax and look at the lake. The children’s area was packed- every picnic table, bench and even the grass was filled with people on a weekend. The playground really loved upto it’s hype. There’s a splash pad that’s sensory controlled. So I love that water isn’t wasted. The children’s structures had a ship themed play area. A tower/lookout, some swings, a really nice zip line, a merry go around concept and really so much more. It definitely caters to all ages beautifully. Definitely worth the drive to Port Perry.
This park is located just in the core of Port Perry Downtown surrounded by beautiful Scugog lakefront. Enough space for picnic, you can carry your summer chairs and table. Lot of activities for kids including play area and splash pads. Washrooms are located near Tennis club. You can visit the near by shops and enjoy the patios. Pizza Pizza is just close to the park. Dont miss the handcrafted icecream shop right infront of the park. Lot of varieties and flavours, iced coffee, gelatos. Pleanty of parking available. We reached there around 3 pm after visiting the lavender farm and still could find the spot on busy weekend. You can rent kayak, pontoons and boats at this place. You have to book in advance from their website. People are very humble and kind.
The charming downtown area of Port Perry comprising of the Marina, the beautiful Palmer Park and the unique shops within stone throw distance has a great appeal to me. A great spot to sit and enjoy some fish and chips by the waterfront while the children go crazy in the splash pad.
Very nice. Very clean. Though it was a rainy day, but I enjoyed every aspect during this visit. I'm so excited to grab my favorite dish and come here enjoy it. Perfect to relax. Perfect to enjoy some quite time. Not sure during the weekend though.
Port Perry - Palmer Park This is a nice Park in a quaint town of Port Perry. There is a marina, a boat launch, a boardwalk and a waterfront trail. There are picnic tables but you can't swim at the beach. There is fishing and boat rental. We did the Waterfront Trail from the park and ended up at the town hall, the main street where there are many restaurants close to the park.
We spent the afternoon there. There are free parking right by the park. Along the park and across the park, there are lot of restaurants. We usually go to cafe but this time we decided to get some snack and sat in the park. In the park.there are benches and tables. The park is very clean maintained. The park has a dock for boat loading, amusement park with facilities for the kids. Also basketball court and baseball diamond available. I really enjoy spending an afternoon there.

Nice park for the dog, hike or bike.
Nice trails and well marked...if you're looking. Forgot the bug spray so I didn't get to the side trails.
No motorized vehicles are allowed here, although you might see the occasional dirt bike crossing through. Not exactly "exciting" hiking but good for excercise; 9 km from one parking lot to the other with a side loop and back. Easy trails for all levels.
Great trails and scenery. Trails are snowmobile friendly so keep your head up in the winter months.
Beautiful experience riding around the forest with leaves on the ground. Lots of trails to explore.
It was mild and rainy but still a great walk on the trail!
Amazing hiking place with beautiful scenery. The trails are snowcovered with great wide paths. Saw lots of birds while walking and our dog loved all the sights and sounds. Just keep your ears open when you are going to keep an eye out for snowmobiles as they are on the trails as well. Be the parking lot is cleared and has lots of spots. It was not too busy and we only saw one other person out there.
Beautiful and quiet place. Easy to hike, you can do it with children as well.

A greeting as you enter the building and asking if you’ve been in before honestly goes such a long way. And the conversation I had with the owner was wonderful. Super kind man. I thoroughly enjoyed picking through and adding some new antiques to my collections. I didn’t know I needed a 3 piece hen on a nest, but so happy to find it!
It was our first time visiting this antique store in Port Perry and they really have a lot of great finds. The prices are also very reasonable. So many one of a kind pieces of antiques and collectibles. One should really take their time looking at the different pieces since there are so many to look at that you don't want to miss it. There are lots of "treasures" in this place.
Had a nice time there everything was good. Bought a clock Labs blue light clock for $15. I stole it for that price and I bought a boat anchor was gold. Well it was gold color. Got it for a really nice price as well. I go back there you betcha that’s a very cool store.
Redmans Antique Barn has lots to look at. Material is fairly well organized. It was well lit, which is helpful, because the floor is very uneven. The two women who were staffing the entrance were very friendly. Items ranged from tools, kitchenware, toys, clothes, books, comics, the list goes on. It takes a good hour to be able to look at all the items there. I'm not an antique expert, but prices weren't outrageous. There are deals to be had.
Great spot to spend some time in and pick up something unique for the house. We enjoyed the picking.
Love this place in general have so much stuff but off course you need time to explore and find stuff of your interest. However the prices are really high, One small ship which wasn’t antique had an original tag of $3 and they were selling it for $15. I also had a bad experience with (staff or owner) whoever was on cash. They tried to charge me $30 over my bill and were quickly giving me the machine to tap my card, luckily I asked to print the list of items that I bought and find out that they were charging me for the items which were already paid by my wife (could be a mistake? after seeing their reaction I don’t think so!). Also the cashier told someone that they were giving 10% off over $10 purchase but they didn’t mention it to me when I was buying so much stuff? May be different policy of every customer. Prices for some things are unnecessarily high. I mean if they expect to get that kind of money than they should put stuff in order and clean it.
Nice shop! Very old fashioned. Also, I can't believe I found some bottle of coke here. These are never opened. Who wanna try how it taste like? 😁😁
Much bigger than I thought...lots to check out if you love antique shopping and rustic items. Great staff. There's also a Gluten free bakery beside with lots of options.

Great selection and always great staff... Their trees always last which is a sign of quality and care. Thank you!!
Pretty good trees. No "hayride" service or cider as there is at other tree farms, but price is competitive and people are nice.
By far the best place around to get your Christmas tree. Great variety of sizes and types of trees. Friendly and helpful staff. A Christmas tradition we look forward to every year!
Lovely Christmas tree farm! Visited in December of 2018, and had a fun and adventurous morning. Saws are available to use, huge selection of trees. Small big slim wide ... you name it they have it. We ended up bringing home a $50 gorgeous silver spruce which held up into mid January. All trees from what I remember were the same price. Cute little gift shop and complementary hot chocolate. Awesome day and memories we’ll cherish forever !
Nice Christmas tree farm with many nice selections for chopping.
We look forward to coming to Spademan’s every year for our tree. We always go for cut your own, this year we scored a beautiful 9.5’ tree and couldn’t be happier. Very friendly staff and an enjoyable atmosphere for the family. We typically get our tree on opening weekend and it lasts until after New Years!
Spademan Tree Farms sells beautiful, full christmas trees of a variety of heights and sizes ranging from jumbo to under 6 feet in height. Friendly staff and an inviting outdoor firepit makes buying your tree a fun experience. Prices are very reasonable.
A fun family place. Lots of great trees to choose from in the fields. They provide a sweet if needed and have Either cut your own or precut trees available. And a quaint log cabin with various Christmas items for sale. This will be our new go to place for the annual tree !

If you’re looking for a big variety of old collections you can definitely find them here.
Beautifully curated and unique pieces! The staff are so lovely and helpful. I was excited to find original prints from Canadian artists. I can’t wait to come back again. The store has a lot of items but it’s clean and well organized. You can spend hours here!
This market doesn’t have a lot valuable jewelries or porcelains but has an outstanding feature of having many interestingly good quality antique/vintage furnitures. If you like upholstery or refinish, you could even buy some furniture paints there.
Loved shopping here! Lots of finds. Great prices. Shop keeper was nice to chat with. We will be back.
Very nice place with variety of collections, staffs are friendly and helpful
I love walking around this place, I discover something new every time. Great place to relax and destress.
2020.09.19. The drive was to Port Perry. The drive was like an hour from downtown Toronto. The visit was to "Port Perry's Vintage Market" ... Antique-ing. The place is in a small plaza. A good collection of antiques but small enough.
I've been looking for a place like this since moving to Canada; it's marvellous, full of curiosities.
