Persephone Brewing Company is a must-visit! The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with a great selection of craft beers brewed on-site. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, offering excellent recommendations. I loved the variety of flavors and the cozy outdoor seating area. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy a delicious pint, and take in the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Gibsons!
We went here on a Friday night and the atmosphere and live music were amazing. Tons of cozy indoor and outdoor seating with a great vibe. The food is also really good. I tried three different drinks and my favorite was the Honey Seltzer.
Last spot we checked out was Persephone Brewing Company. They make beer, cider and seltzers. There's a Little Spoon Ice Cream on site and cornhole. Nice that there's live music. - Cider flight ($12.00) - watermelon mint, wild organic, dry hopped and estate apple. Best of the bunch was the dry hopped but flavours were meek and unbalanced
Fantastic quick service, even with the wonderful LIVE music, the team was able to take everyone’s orders and deliver fast ;) The flights are a great way to fast a bunch of their Ciders or Beers and then select a 4 pack of the one you love, TO GO. Ok. We came over from North Van for the evening. Easy, lovely service, great FOOD and BEER! And Music!!
Great place for kids! Delicious cocktails and mocktails and wonderful ambiance. The burger was delicious as well. We will certainly be back next time we’re on the Sunshine Coast
Highly recommend visiting here. They have some cider options and seltzers for non-beer enjoyers too. Their smash burgers were amazing!
My first time here. Heard lots of good things about this place, so came to see myself. Excellent atmosphere and nice beer, but terrible food. The fried fish was dried and burned ( dark brown), and the burger buns were cold. With C$100 for a simple lunch for four, we can find better places around here.
This was our favorite brewery location and beer of the entire weekend. All the beers we tasted here or elsewhere in town were great and this location is absolutely beautiful. Loved the grounds and also loved the comics in the tables!

This was my second time visiting Soames Hill Park, and it was just as rewarding as the first! The stairs on the trail make the climb a bit challenging, but it’s not too long to manage. Once you reach the top, the effort feels completely worth it—you forget about the climb entirely. The view from the top is breathtaking, and it’s the perfect spot to sit for at least half an hour, soaking in the stunning colors and the masterpiece of nature.
Well-organized Park! Love the Anti-slip settings. It's an easy and short hike except for the final rock climb, but not an important mission. The view is so peaceful. Love it!
Beautiful hike, not too hard but with all the stairs, challenging. Good for a daily walk.
Pretty good hike. Good for beginners or children (walking), but don’t find yourself lost or you’ll head out to the road north. It’s surrounded by roads or beach so the search and rescue mission will be short if you do get lost. Plenty of stairs, and some hills near the peak. Great rewarding view of Gibsons Landing once you make it. Nice place to have a picnic.
Such a nice hike close to the Soames beach. There are easy to intermediate trails for getting to the view points. On a clear day, you can see a gorgeous panoramic view as far as the States. The intermediate route starts with quite a steep walk and advances to 346 stairs. After passing a few rocks, you will star to see the view. Great for a one hour hike.
Lovely little hike. Easy access from Gibsons, and a fairly short climb up and down (maybe an hour leisurely round trip) and probably accessible from anyone who is able to climb steps comfortably. You will be rewarded with amazing views over the islands and the inlet. Some parking at both the West side entrances.
Short hike to two amazing lookout points. It would be a great place to have a fancy nature adventure. It's also super close to Persephone Brewing. So go get a beer after you tackle the Soames hill. The greatest thing that really impresses me is Gibsons’s commitment to healthy living and environmental sustainability. That is Gibson's treasure. @ Sunshine Coast, Gibsons, BC
Beautiful hike with a great view. The stairs... The one set is much shorter than the other. One set is definitely better to go down. Use caution if you skip leg day.

Was suggested by a local as it was getting late and we were unsure where to go. I had the Rooftop Cheeseburger with curly fries and my boyfriend had the Elphinstoner burger with deep fried pickles. Everything was delicious, I was pleasantly surprised that his pickles came with a dilly sauce, I was expecting more than 3 pickles for the side but with the size of the burger, I don't think it mattered. Evening (after 8pm) outdoor atmosphere is chill and cozy. We already thanked the person who recommended it!
Great service. Nice food. We tried fish taco , Mac & cheese fried (excellent ) , chicken wings .., They are all very tasty.
Stop here on our way to Sechelt. Great little place for some drink & snacks. Upstairs deck seating is perfect to enjoy the sunshine. We had the IPA & the cocktail slushie, both were great except the slushie was quite expensive for the portion. Staff were friendly and drinks were done quickly.
Tapworks blew us away! It's knock your tastebuds-off D E L E T A B L E and a treat for your pallette. The soft pretzels were out of this world, the mac & cheese bites were absolute perfection, and the filthy fries were dangerously addictive. I polished it off with their strawberry rhubarb house kombucha, which was so fresh and downright delectable. Between the amazing food, great drinks, and lively atmosphere, this place is perfect for an afternoon lunch!
Really surprised by how bad the food was given the positive reviews. Maybe it was an off day, but the chicken burger was small, very thin, and had a breading that tasted like it was fried in old oil. The fries were also clearly nothing more than basic store bought ones, with no notable seasoning to make them more than what you can make at home. My friend’s poke bowl looked good, so maybe it’s just worth staying away from anything they deep fry. Atmosphere was good, with a dog friendly patio in the back, and a spacious patio on the upper floor. Service was prompt, though they might be understaffed in the kitchen because it took over 30 mins to get any food. Also we had an issue with one of our orders being missed, and the staff member didn’t handle it very well, resulting in us nearly missing our ferry. They could definitely use some more training on how to take accountability and resolve issues promptly.
Atmosphere was good, but my fish and chips were inedible. The batter wasn’t fully cooked through and the fish had a bitter aftertaste. Portion was also very small. Slider burgers were okay, nothing special. Especially for the price, I would expect better. Decent place to grab a drink, but I would skip ordering food.
Excellent organization when accommodating food and drinks for a kids hockey team. Food was great; excellent chicken wings, fish and chips and kale caesar. Their NA beer was really good too, I’d put it up there with some of the best I’ve tasted.
What a lovely place with a patio and plenty of indoor space. Super friendly staff and delish beer. The menu looked fab. It was a hot day and I was short on time so I tried their lovely lager, and it was just right.

Gibson is a lovely town. The visitor centre is so good. Izabella at the centre was so helpful and fun. She gave us awesome advice on where to visit in Gibson and areas around. Thank you so much.
Very nice visitor center it's awesome that they actually have stuff to sell from the community/area. The lady working was very friendly and helpful.
Izabella the lady in the Visitor Center was so helpful and kind... so invitingly friendly I went back later in the week during my stay in Gibsons just to say hi again to this Gem of a Staff member. Thank for such a welcoming enviourment😁😁😁
This was a great stop! The lady working was so nice and gave us good info on hikes along the coast. They also have a washroom and water bottle fill station!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. It’s a great spot to start your trip.
Such nice, friendly staff. So excited to talk about gibsons. Visitors will have lots of parking, a bathroom to use, gifts to buy. And the Visitor center is downtown so don't have far to go to look around .
The lady inside was so nice! She gave us more than enough information on trails and fun places to see, explain the little town of Gibson and had some great suggestions. If you are ever visiting the sunshine coast and have even one question, it is worth the stop by the Gibson info centre. You won't regret it. :)
We were spending a day in Gibson's and left our car at Horseshoe Bay to save the ferry fee, so we were mostly walking around town. After chatting with the lady working at the visitor desk about what we should see, she offered her husband to give us a ride up town. After exploring the town a little longer, she called to say he was there, and he drove us up the hill towards Persephone brewery and Soames Hill which were on our hit list. Just a great experience, thanks again!

Nice place to visit while in Gibsons. Very informative. Donations are gladly accepted for admission. Learned some history about the sunshine coast
What a great little museum! Popped in for a visit while exploring Gibsons for the first time and had a really nice experience. Lots of interesting local history and very kind, passionate staff!
Really cool museum! The second floor had a lot going on, and their butterfly collection was amazing! Definitely worth going. 10/10
Visited the museum with my mom. Admission is by donation. What a charming museum and enjoyed learning about the history of the Sunshine Coast Loved the curator's sense of humor!
A place worth visiting in Gibsons. Entering by donation, you have a lot to see and learn about the history if Sunshine Coast. Not busy and easy to park.
Great little museum, gives a good insight an history of sunshine coast. About an hour is more than enough to have a look. It's entry by donations
Didn't have much expectation and got WOW'ed by the content, artifacts and interactivity with various things. Small museum packed with so much history!
Amazing spot. My grand daughters love to go every time they are in town. Its become a part of our family tradition.

We absolutely loved it!!!, this place is like the ucluelet aquarium, they have the aquatic fauna for a while and then release them again to the ocean!, everything is well preserved, clean and the staff is amazing!, my husband was si thrilled!, you can touch sea stars and hear some sound of the ocean in the ipad activity, i wish more places like this exist!, if you are going to the sunshine coast this place is a must!, they will relese the animals on this next weekend june 15!
We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the aquarium, and we learned so much! The staff were kind and attentive, and spent significant time answering our daughter's many (many!) questions. Thank you for filling our holiday weekend with aquatic joy! :)
It was really fun we even got to touch some of the creatures. I highly recommend. The aquarium was amazing, having a big punch packed in to a small space. The staff was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Admission price is great. We spent a few hours here. Wish we lived closer, as we could then visit all the time. Thank you!
Geat value and fun half-hour activity for the family. Knowledgeable, helpful staff and good information about the local marine life. my son loved the touch tanks. Great value
What a gem of a place! If you are visiting, please don't skip over the Tide pools Aquarium. Even though it is a small exhibit space, it's packed with interesting displays of marine life, a touch pool and staffed with very accessible, and very knowledgeable staff. I watched my kids (17, 14 and 12) all revert back to curious 5 year olds. We spent a good hour and a bit there just looking at all the neat marine life, asking questions and got to watch a crab hunt, break open a clam and have it's lunch. And this experience is super affordable!
A wonderful experience! The staff was great with kids, very knowledgeable and kind. We got to touch different types of sea stars and sea urchins, as well as see other creatures like eels, crabs, and sea slugs. It's really cool and interactive! They are a catch-and-release aquarium so the animals change from time to time. Plus, the organization supports conservation and education efforts on the coast
TidePools Aquarium is a small but fascinating collect-and-release aquarium that focuses on local marine life from Howe Sound. It has about 30 exhibits showcasing over 70 species, including fish, invertebrates, and plants from habitats like rocky reefs, eelgrass beds, and kelp forests. The touch tanks and scavenger hunts make it especially fun for kids, while the knowledgeable staff and volunteers add depth with stories about the animals and ecosystems. I liked that everything here is community-driven and sustainable—the animals are collected by divers and later released back into the ocean. It feels more like an educational experience than a tourist attraction, which makes it unique.
I was really impressed by the volume and variety of critters to be found in this small aquarium. The staff member (or perhaps volunteer?) was so informative, and totally accessible for questions while also providing lots of space to explore on your own. Money well spent for about 45 minutes of entertainment and education.

I recently stayed there the night and it was beautiful and so peaceful. I took the ferry from Gibsons and then hiked from Keats Landing to the campsite. The ferry runs all year round but only on demand so you need to give them a call beforehand (check schedule and info on BC ferries website). It was $7.30 one way, bring cash! The hike takes 30-45 minutes, it goes up and down a hill but it's not too steep. From Keats Landing, follow the main road (the only road really) for a few minutes until you see the building with the red roof and a bunch of cars and golf carts parked (see picture). The trailhead is on the left. From there, follow the signs saying Marine Park and the square markers on the trees. Don't try to use Google maps and watch your step, the rocks were very slippery! I was the only person in the campsite, although there were a few boats on the dock. During the summer they sell firewood, in the winter the shed is locked and the park is not staffed. There is also no water! When I went there was a small creek running on the other side of the campground, by site 20, but I wouldn't rely on that unless it's been raining a lot. No bear caches as I assume they are very rare in the island, but don't leave your food unattended anyway, I had 2 raccoons trying to steal my dinner :)
Nice park for easy walks with great viewpoints and marine-related activities; even a few geocaches to find. If you boat over (which we believe most people do), the buoys make for an inexpensive ($12) and quiet night; they are spaced apart for boats up to 40' long. Obviously you'll need a dinghy or kayak to get to the dock and use the facilities if your boat isn't equipped. If you can't find an unoccupied buoy (they go fast around weekends - especially long weekends and there's only 8 of them), then you can tie up to the dock ($2 per foot) or anchor in the bay which has good holding South of the buoys. There are also designated overnight camping spots which can be reserved online. The bay is close enough to Gibsons that if you need supplies it's a quick and easy trip in the dinghy.
so natural and clean. if staying camping 16 ca 4 people 1 night. Taxi trains go and return 160 ca. for 6 people.
This little park located not far from Gibson's is quite nice. There is a well maintained dock for boat access and you can pay to stay the night on. The beach is a mix of sand and stone with clear clean water. There are what seems to be a sufficient amount of well maintained camp sites around the park as well as some lovely trails to hike into the island. A grassy orchard with some picnic tables borders the beach for a nice place for a meal. Access to the island is by passenger ferry, boat, or kayak. The area seems well sheltered from the wind making it a nice place to tuck into when the straight is blowing.
Great little park and well upkept. Has several mooring balls and dock and slip space on first come first serve. Slip and dock have room for about 11 to 12 boats, plus 8 mooring balls. Lots of different hiking trails from the main park that weave over the island. For the most part they are well marked and well traveled. Good shelter provided in the bay, but fills up in the evening quickly. Well maintained pit toilets and a well with hand pump for water. It does state that water needs to be boiled.
Beautiful place. Calm water. Nice park with docks, mooring buoys and camp sites. Reasonable rates.
Although there aren't many mooring spots on the dock and you get rocked by any tiny boat going by, it's still a great little spot. We explored by boat, kayak and on foot. In the evening, thrre's a gorgeous view across to Gibsons. The campground is really tidy and well looked after. The trails are awesome as many previous posts have mentioned. Great job BC Parks staff! Too bad "somebody" (BC Government) keeps expecting our Parks staff to do more with less and less. We noticed the same thing in other Gulf Islands parks this summer. (Like Hornby Island.) Loved Plumper. Will definitely return.
Beautiful spot, I love that the old orchard is still there and produces plenty of apples. Two beaches and two beautiful views. Nice looking sign and an old water pump.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I was so excited to find your shop online, and today I received the most wonderful parcel, wrapped with care by one of the beautiful "elves" that work at this amazing BC woman owned/ designed/ operated small businesses. My items were packaged beautifully, and there was also a personal note- so thoughtful and sweet! Very high quality items (I ordered tea towels, cards and magnets) that I am going to be so delighted to gift (and probably keep a few for myself LOL).... I will definitely recommend you to others and I will shop again! Have a beautiful day!! Katherine from Nelson BC
Placed my order Monday and it came in the door this morning just befor lunch. The Dr. Bonnie Henry tea towels and shopping bags are superior quality. Just the thing to mail to my friends and relatives in Denmark. Got the Things we hope to do in 2021 tea towels as well, giving those a big thumbs up as well. Air hugs to you and the elves. Thanks Mira for the lovely surprise❤️❤️❤️
The tea towels are so creative and fun to read! Really great quality and good gifts. Wish they had more tote bags though.
Their products were all beautiful ( tea towels, coasters) and provided lots of much needed smiles! The extra care in packaging by the elves and personal notes were an added bonus! Highly recommend their products!
Highly recommend this business. Their tea towels are of excellent quality and the customer service is fantastic!
Unbelievably awesome, I ordered this towel yesterday and it's at my doorstep today. You guys rock!
Excellent customer service and fun products!
Her artwork is both heartwarming and hilarious!

Great sandwich as ordered and ready for pick up.
The most garbage Subway on the planet. Garbage service, trash attitude. The veggies are either frozen or rotten. and the widow where you look at toppings is covered in stickers so you cant see what they are doing. Plus they don't know how to assemble a sandwich. 100% would not recommend.
I was disappointed with the customer service during my visit this morning. It was frustrating to see staff member on their cellphone and talking in the other line while they were supposed to be working. And this is not acceptable. I place my order while in the store and I noticed that the machine is ringing and no one is taking it, I’m pretty sure it is my order. It’s keeps beeping for a long time and no one picking it up. Then a 1st customer came in and he assisted him. Then the second. I asked him to finish the order but he insisted to assist the second customer. I placed the order first, he should attended it before assisting others because we have been waiting inside the store. This lack of attention and professionalism really affected the overall experience, and it’s clear that more focus on work is needed to provide a better service."
No one was where gloves and food was growing mold I got food poisoning and when I called to complain the phone operator tried to gaslight me and say he was there and they where wearing gloves even tho I have picture of them not
Called to ask for help claiming a buy 2 get 1 deal advertised on Facebook. The Indian woman who answered was unhelpful then hung up on me.
Subway is on a fast track to the bottom. Mustard is now discontinued???!! In a sandwich shop??! I wont be back for your brown lettuce, and when someone asks for mayo try putting on end to end not in the middle not a glump on on end and a tiny trail on the other end. I think smiling must be extra? Then they have the nerve to have the machine ask for a tip? Also, The app sends me notifications for deals that aren't honored after charging me then keeps my money for days. Time for an employee team building customer service seminar at the least. The owner doesn't care by the looks of the reviews.
The employee service me was horrible and had a attitude for some reason. Everytime I asked for veggies, he would put the littlest amount possible. I had to keep asking for more of everything. My son and I both ordered a 6" turkey, as we do always. He had white bread and I had Italian herbs and cheese bread. At checkout, he was charging us 2 x 6" subs instead of 1 footlong. He was actually arguing with me that it is 2 separate 6" subs because the bread was different. For me, it wasn't about the money, it was just a lack of customer service and the horrible experience we had. Never going to this Subway again.
Clean and well maintained subway 👍

Fantastic!!! I never went in before! Saw the T. Owens Union exhibit, here! I was very moving! Way to Go Gibsons Public Art Gallery! Thank you for this Black History exhibition❤️
This is a great little gallery with much to offer. We took in all three thoughtfully curated exhibitions, each by a different artist using different materials and showing a unique perspective. There is a nice little shop featuring items by local artists as well. And it’s right in the heart of Gibsons. No admission fee, an off-street parking lot. So may reasons to visit!
Great place e to stop by when you are at Gibson village. Great local art by all age community. Entry is free by donation.
A small and modern gallery showed beautiful exhibition of modern indigenous artworks. I met two female artists. Very friendly. Check it out.
A wonderful small gallery. Non-profit, helped by numerous volunteers and a staff that are dedicated to art and community. Supportive and friendly atmosphere.
Fantastic art gallery, amazing pieces.
A wonderful gallery for a myriad of artists to enjoy showing their work. Of particular note is the incredibly beautiful polished concrete floor. Along with proper lighting assures visitors of an excellent art experience
