The Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish offers a breathtaking 10-minute ride, taking you 885m above sea level for stunning views of Howe Sound and the surrounding landscape. At the top, visitors can enjoy food and drinks at Summit Lodge, cross the impressive Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge, or explore interpretive loop walking trails with cantilevered viewing platforms. The gondolas are wheelchair and pushchair accessible.
Breathtaking! This was such an amazing experience. The views are spectacular! There is a few different choices for hiking, different distances and levels of difficulty but all are fairly easy to navigate offering amazing vistas and closeness with nature. We were there early and it was not very busy which made it all that more enjoyable. This is a must stop while traveling the Sea to Sky highway!
Troy M — Google review
Just amazing! Breathtaking views, but the ticket to the top are pretty pricey. There are a lot of trails here though, so you can save on gondola and have a really good hike. Just check the difficulty level in advance
Max P — Google review
We still highly recommend the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish, even though the views were mostly hidden by clouds during our visit. The lack of a grand panorama was a slight bummer, but the trip was absolutely worthwhile. Riding up through the misty forest canopy was incredibly atmospheric and peaceful. Up top, even without the vast, far-reaching vistas, the summit provided a beautiful, unique perspective on the coastal rainforest. And trust us, the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge is a thrilling experience that delivers a rush regardless of what the weather is doing! Go for it.
Remee D — Google review
The view from above is stunning. There's also a long suspension bridge with beautiful scenery on both sides. Here you have a gondola, a suspension bridge, and a view of high mountains with a clear blue lake all in one place. I would skip other suspension bridges just to come here. You should arrive early when they open to avoid the crowds. Be prepared with your camera to take many beautiful pictures here.
DN — Google review
The gondola ride is an amazing experience. At the top there’s lots of hikes you can take with spectacular views. The suspension bridge was beautiful. The restaurant is also a nice touch, we just got a few refreshing drinks. They were on the expensive side but I guess your paying for the experience. Definitely recommend coming here at least once!

Sea to Sky Gondola was the wedding venue of our dreams. From planning to the big day, everything was absolutely perfect. After finding the venue online in our search for an adventurous or ski-focused location, it almost seemed too good to be true; the location/facilities were stunning, the price was affordable, and many of the rules were much more relaxed compared to the ski resorts we were looking at. We visited a little over a year before our ideal wedding date to learn more about what Sea to Sky has to offer and pretty quickly knew that this was the one. Michelle gave us an incredible tour and was able to answer every question that we had. She also pointed out several things that we didn’t think of such as the bridal suite and some of the unique aspects of the venue (eg. bridge closures). The gondola ride up was complimentary and we were allowed to stay and continue enjoying it at the end of the tour which let us continue to explore and see if this was the right place for us. Turns out, it absolutely was and we soon booked our wedding date. Booking the date and understanding the contract on their portal was really easy even though we were international and wouldn’t be able to do too much in person. Everyone we spoke to on the portal over the next several months (Renee, Sarah) were all incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. We were able to come back to the dinner menu tasting which, while not having every option available to try, had the most unique things which helped us pick things that we otherwise would not have chosen. For the menu items we weren’t able to try, at our request the staff was so kind to provide us with photos of the other dishes. Additionally, they were happy to accommodate special requests like allowing us to have the macaroons instead of the included desert option. We were SO thrilled about that! The day of the wedding, Sea to Sky was well prepared and executed their role flawlessly. The food was absolutely incredible and the wait staff was fast and professional. The bar staff was also amazing and even with our party doing their best to consume as much as possible, they were able to keep up with the orders! One minor bummer was that the outside bar area was closed, so everyone had to funnel in on the inside to order another round – I think this is normally open, but just not for our event. Finally, even though our party was rowdy, the security and staff at the venue didn’t mind and let us continue to have a blast. A few days after the wedding, the venue continued to impress us with how easy and transparent it was to finalize the remaining payments; something we really needed to be easy having just gotten married! If you’re looking for the most amazing views and venue in the world, chill and communicative staff, and flexibility to tailor the party the way you want, S2SG is the place to go!! First time and totally worth it. The weather was just a cherry on top! Gondola takes it sweet time to reach the top while taking you through the breathtaking views. Prices are reasonable for the gondola. Gets you amazinv view of Shannon Falls in the ride. Suspension Bridge at the top to walk by and beautiful trails. Cafe and shopping centre at the top with lots of food options and souveniers.
Aarti J — Google review
All in all this is a great experience. We had a nice clear day, which would be a must if you want to get the beautiful views. And the views were amazing, for us. The Ride up was quick and smooth. You can fit up to 8 people in the gondola at a time. There are nice gift shops at the top and bottom of the hill. The parking is not free. We did the after 4 pm and were able to save 40%, which was a bonus. However, there are a ton of hiking trails at the top, so you could spend hours at this location. All in all we found it worth the trip up.

Britannia Mine Museum

The Britannia Mine Museum, located in Squamish, British Columbia, is a former mine transformed into an educational and family-friendly attraction. Visitors can explore the history of the region's mining industry through interactive exhibits and artifacts. One of the highlights is an underground train tour that takes guests through authentic mining tunnels. Additionally, visitors can try their hand at gold panning and engage with knowledgeable guides to learn about the area's heritage.
A must visit spot. Lots of history, amazing guided tour, and incredible views. I brought my son over (5yo) and he had a blast panning, visiting the mine, the mill, and the little gift shop. Although we had no issues dropping in, I highly recommend booking in advance. Check the days they have panning, because some days they don’t have. There are lots to see, and I recommend take the tour first and then visiting the other attractions. It makes easier to understand the history behind each part of the museum.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Britannia Mine Museum is an amazing stop and one of the highlights of my trip! ⛏️ From the moment you arrive, everything feels well-organized and welcoming. Guests are given hard hats ⛑️, which adds a fun and authentic touch before heading underground. Riding the little mine train 🚂 into the tunnels was such a unique experience — it really gave me a sense of what daily life for the miners must have been like. The tour guide was fantastic and did several live demonstrations of real mining equipment. 💥 The noise, the sparks, and the vibrations made history come alive in a way that books or photos never could. After the guided portion, there’s a chance to do a free walk-through of the exhibits at your own pace. I loved seeing the artifacts, old photos, and interactive displays that showed what it was like to live in this mining community. 🏠📸 The interactive movie 🎥✨ was another highlight — creative, engaging, and surprisingly moving. It pulled me right into the story of the mine’s past. Overall, this museum is educational, entertaining, and fun for all ages. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Whether you’re into history, science, or just looking for a great stop along the Sea-to-Sky Highway 🌲🍁, this is absolutely worth a visit!

📝 Top Tips Save time [Book in Advance]: Underground rail tour & the Awesome "BOOM! SHOW " have scheduled times. Dress Appropriately: Cool, damp tunnels—light jacket and comfortable shoes recommended. Plan 2–3 Hours: For tours, panning, exhibits, and a café break. Hands-On Fun: Gold panning and interactive exhibits are great for kids. Photography: Mill No. 3 and Howe Sound are photogenic; Food & Souvenirs: Café has light snacks; Company Store has themed items. [The Beaucoup Cafe & Bakery across the road is as picture perfect as they get / menu has great offering] Accessibility: Some areas may be challenging—ask Guest Services if needed. Timing & Weather: Weekdays are quieter; bring layers for rain or fog. Combine Stops: Pair with Shannon Falls or Squamish town for a full day trip. The Café inside and gift shop are modest; plan extra time if you want to relax. Engage Staff: Guides enrich the experience—ask questions. A must-see stop on the Sea-to-Sky Highway for families, history buffs, or anyone curious about BC’s mining heritage. Combines industrial history, hands-on fun, and dramatic experiences.

Recommend this muse me with 5 star! The mine museum has provided a very different tourism experience to all ages! First is small exhibition showroom with 15min movie, then you get to take a small train to the <underground>, the instructor is knowledgeable and funny! You get to see how old days the workers were doing! And lastly we did some gold panning, and I was so lucky to find some! Great place to take the whole family for an adventure!
Sitong L — Google review
Great experience! We bought tickets in advance so there was basically zero wait. I would recommend getting there early so you can explore the museum, watch short films they have playing and also do some gold panning which was incredibly fun. The tour was nice and started off a little slow, but Tessa was a great guide and finishing of with the BOOM! Show was amazing!
Vishnu G — Google review
We had a truly amazing experience visiting this museum! The tour was very well organized, informative, and fun for both adults and children. Our guide was outstanding—engaging, knowledgeable, and made the whole visit enjoyable. The kids especially loved exploring and learning through the activities, and we all came away with great memories. In the final part of the tour inside the mill, there was a noticeable sulfur smell. While it was a bit strong for my son, I’m sure this is part of the natural environment. With some additional ventilation, even visitors who are sensitive—especially children—would be able to enjoy that fascinating section fully. The gold panning activity was a highlight! One idea that might make it even better would be to have a guide demonstrate the correct steps for the children—it would add an extra educational touch to an already fun experience. Overall, this museum is a wonderful place to visit, and I highly recommend it to families and anyone interested in history and discovery. We truly enjoyed our time here and are grateful for such a memorable tour!
Amir S — Google review
I enjoyed my visit to this museum! The guided tour was fantastic. Our guide was enthusiastic and engaging. The museum ticket price is a bit steep (a little over $40 for an adult), so be prepared for that. Lots of history here! There are a couple of restaurants and little shops across the road too. Makes for a nice day out.
Anusha S — Google review
Stopped in for a planned visit on our way to Whistler. I was wondering if my kids, 16 and 18 would be interested or bored. Well our whole family loved the museum, it exceeded our expectations. The tour guide(Simon) was excellent and made the tour very interesting. The mine tour was amazing, we learned so much about the mining process. The Boom show was so good and seeing inside the mill was unbelievable. This place must be seen to believe how cool it is, I guess that is why so many movies are filmed here. I think this is a hidden gem in BC and everyone should visit. Also the my 16 year old loved the gold panning.

Stawamus Chief

Mentioned on

Mountain peak
Stawamus Chief, also known as "The Chief," is a massive granite formation in Squamish, Canada, offering challenging hiking trails that lead to three peaks with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. The hike involves a choose-your-own-adventure route that ascends the second tallest freestanding granite structure in the world using various trails, boardwalks, bridges, ladders, and ropes.
I really enjoyed this hike! It’s a very popular spot — I went in early May, and there were already enough people that I had to wait in line at some points, especially near the chains. The chain sections and the narrow canyon are definitely the highlight of this hike. There are lots of stairs, a beautiful river running alongside the trail, several waterfalls, and, of course, incredible views both from the slopes and the top of the cliffs. I highly recommend it — it was a truly pleasant and rewarding hike!
Mariia M — Google review
Followed all the reviews that said to do 3,2,1. Enjoyed this route. Majority of the trail to peak 3 we were the only ones. Keep an eye out for yellow & orange markers they will lead you. If you can’t find those then just look for the beaten path. Getting up peak 3 was steep but worth it. Everyone says peak 2 is the best view but honestly I disagree and think peak 3 was the best. The trail from peak 3 to 2 was nice but at one point the markers just stopped. Just start walking up and you’ll get to the peak. We skipped peak 1. The way down after peak 2 was intense with ladders and chains. Follow the markers the trail is well marked. My knees were killing me on the way down but if we did 1,2,3 my knees would be dead. Definitely recommend 3,2,1 to save your legs.
Sarah P — Google review
Did the Chief First Peak today and it was an incredible experience. The views from the top are absolutely stunning … definitely worth the climb. The trail is well marked and well maintained throughout. Be cautious if it’s rained recently or raining during your hike, the granite rock near the summit can become very slippery. Near the top, there’s a short section with chains and a metal ladder, it’s a bit exposed, so if you’re highly scared of heights, it might make you nervous. I personally don’t like exposure, but I felt okay going up. Coming down was much harder for me. I took it slow and stayed very cautious, especially on the steep granite sections. Definitely a good workout and a rewarding summit, but not something I’d repeat often due to the descent. Parking lot was free and so many empty spaces at 8 am.
Manu G — Google review
Hail to the Chief! 🪶🏔️🏞️ This hike has to be one of the best in all of Canada — challenging, breathtaking, and absolutely worth every step. I went up to the Second Peak, my favorite of the three, and I’m pretty sure it’s also the highest. The route is about 5.5 km round trip with roughly 650 m of elevation gain, and it took just over two hours at a steady pace. Don’t underestimate it — this trail is basically the ultimate natural stair master. If you’re out of shape, your legs are going to be toast for a few days afterward. The climb is steep and relentless, winding through forest, rocks, and roots before breaking out into some of the most incredible views you’ll ever see. The top section gets a bit spicy — chains, ladders, and a few sketchy moments where you’ll need both hands. It’s thrilling but definitely not for the faint of heart, and dogs won’t make it past this part. Once you pull yourself up onto the summit, though, it all pays off. The 360° view over Howe Sound and the surrounding peaks is simply unreal — one of those moments that makes you forget how much your legs are shaking. Bring lots of water, a snack or lunch, and take your time up there. There’s plenty of space for a picnic, and every direction is a postcard. Just watch your footing on the way down — tired legs make for easy missteps. A must-do hike. Hail to the Chief
Kai B — Google review
Experience was from a couple years ago, can't believe I never posted! What a challenging hike to the top. And it started raining too so we were just sliding all over the place to try and stay upright. What a unique experience, the top views were worth it, even if it was a bit foggy!
Lia — Google review
We recently completed the Stawamus Chief Trail, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! This trail is known for its three distinct peaks—each offering its own challenge and stunning views. The descent from Peak 3 back to the main parking lot is long, exhausting, and quite technical in parts. But despite the fatigue, the feeling of completing all three peaks in a single hike was incredible, pure satisfaction and accomplishment. Aim to begin by 7:00–8:00 AM so you can return by late afternoon. Carry plenty of water and some snacks or a light lunch, you’ll need the fuel! Good hiking shoes and a bit of grit are a must. If you’re up for a solid adventure, this triple summit trek is absolutely worth it!
Mahesh M — Google review
An epic experience being able to hike peaks 3,2,1 descending order. The full hike can be a challenge (giant stairmaster to begin!) but it’s a great adventure for those looking for it! Views up top are incredible with the highest and most serene at peak 3. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Squamish!

Shannon Falls is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a variety of activities such as hiking on the Sea to Summit Trail and taking the gondola down. The area features additional trails leading from the Summit Lodge, a suspension bridge, viewing platforms, and a restaurant with live music in the summer. Nearby attractions include the Stawamus Chief for climbing and various crags and routes for rock climbing.
Lovely place to be at. Loved the fall, trails and surroundings. So peaceful and soothing. Became the favourite fall. Will come again. You could see it from the hwy but it’s worth going near. Small trail and you are there to see this fall with a breathtaking view.
Mandeep S — Google review
Incredibly stunning almost too beautiful to be real. There are three different viewpoints to enjoy the waterfall, each offering a unique perspective. The walk to each viewpoint is easy and not far at all, making it perfect for families with kids or seniors. The air is fresh and cool, and the natural surroundings are peaceful and calming. It’s a great place to relax, take photos, and enjoy nature without having to hike long distances.
Achaparn T — Google review
The trail we took involved some scrambling and using a rope to get up some rock faces. This was very fun! The trail didn't start from the main carpark area and was a bit tucked away. The pools at the base of the waterfall were very fresh but fantastic to swim in. A steep walk in places, so be careful! Toilets at the car park. Free carpark.
Emily K — Google review
A beautiful waterfall you see when passing Squamish. Nearby the Sea to sky gondola. There is a road which connects to Sea to sky gondola from here as well. There are plenty of picnic benches beside the creek. The washrooms were smelly so badly though. There are not many parking spots even during the weekdays. I saw RVs having a hard time finding a parking spot. I saw people climbing up to the waterfall as well and there are few trails to go closer to the waterfall.
Ruwanthika P — Google review
An incredible place! On warm and sunny weekends, it’s almost impossible to find parking after 9 a.m. If you hike up to the waterfall, there’s a natural pool where you can take an amazing dip after a tough hike — totally worth it!
Vladyslav H — Google review
Super beautiful and very tall fall! Hard to find a parking there during weekends. Walking to the bottom of the fall only takes 3 min from parking lot however you really can’t see much from beneath and you have to walk a trail to get to the pools on top!

Beautiful, powerful waterfall just off the Sea-to-Sky Highway. Easy, short walk to the viewpoints, great for all ages. Gorgeous scenery, nice picnic spots, and totally worth the stop between Vancouver and Whistler!

Great spot to quickly get a few steps in! Quick easy hike to a pretty awesome view of the falls. There is a second view of the falls further up a set of stairs with a great view as well. Overall, it is a fairly easy and accessible walk with great views all around.

Shannon Falls holds a special place in my memories as a breathtaking natural wonder nestled in British Columbia's stunning landscape. Standing tall at 335 meters (1,105 feet), it is British Columbia's third highest waterfall and an iconic attraction along the Sea-to-Sky Highway. Visiting Shannon Falls was a mesmerizing experience. As I approached, the thunderous roar of cascading water grew louder, heightening my anticipation. The sight of the falls, with its powerful torrents plunging down rugged cliffs surrounded by lush forest, left me in awe of nature's raw beauty. The trail leading to Shannon Falls offers a serene hike through old-growth forest, adding to the allure of the journey. It's a tranquil escape where the scent of cedar and fir trees mingles with the mist from the waterfall, creating a sensory experience that's both invigorating and calming. Standing at the base of Shannon Falls, I felt a profound sense of wonder and humility. The sheer force and majesty of the waterfall reminded me of nature's immense power and resilience. It's a place where time seems to stand still, allowing visitors to reconnect with the natural world and appreciate its awe-inspiring creations. Whether you're a local seeking a peaceful hike or a traveler exploring British Columbia's natural wonders, Shannon Falls promises an unforgettable experience. It's a testament to the province's stunning landscapes and the timeless beauty of its waterfalls, inviting all who visit to marvel at its splendor.

Nice view of falls during the winter part of the water is frozen. It is a very romantic place to visit. Take extra clothes, hat and gloves, it is very cold especially when you are near water.

This place is absolutely amazing! It’s conveniently located with easy parking and a safe trail that leads to stunning views. You can even climb around the rocks near the waterfall, which adds to the fun. The atmosphere is beautiful and serene, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing day outdoors. Best of all, there’s no entrance fee! I highly recommend visiting if you're looking for a great outdoor experience. You won’t be disappointed!
Marina G — Google review
Shannon falls is a gem of a spot to spend your day. Parking lot was full when we got there but there was plenty of parking available across the street. Short 4min walk and you come to the base of the falls where you come across clear water flowing and people enjoying nature. My kids 8 and 10 were adventurous enough to climb quite a bit through the rocks to get to a some serene spots, where we were able to sit and enjoy some snacks. Highly recommend to visit this place, take the short hike to also get some good photos a bit closer to the falls. Don’t forget to drink the water directly from the flowing stream as it’s just nature at its best. Love love love.. Oh do remember to wear shoes with good grip or keep your shoes at the base of the falls and go bare feet as it’s much easier to climb up.

Shannon Falls Provincial Park is a true gem! I recently visited the park and was blown away by the breathtaking beauty of the falls. The sheer power and majesty of the 335-meter waterfall is awe-inspiring, and the surrounding lush forest and hiking trails only add to the natural wonder. The park is well-maintained, with easy-to-follow trails and plenty of viewing areas to take in the stunning views. The falls are accessible for visitors of all ages and abilities, making it a great destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike. What really impressed me was the serene and peaceful atmosphere of the park. It's a perfect place to connect with nature, relax, and unwind. I could have spent hours sitting by the falls, listening to the roar of the water and soaking up the natural beauty. Overall, I would highly recommend Shannon Falls Provincial Park to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience. It's a must-see destination in British Columbia, and I can't wait to go back and explore more of what the park has to offer!"

Beautiful view of Shannon Falls minutes from the parking lot. There is an accessible route to Shannon Falls for those who has to push a stroller or a wheelchair. Shannon Falls is big and although you’re still quite a distance from it, you’ll get a good view from the viewing platform. Many people were climbing on the rocks to get closer to the falls, but do so at your own risk. Parking lot was busy but because most people are there to view the falls only, the turnover is relatively quick.
May Z — Google review
Beautiful water falls just beside the 99 highway. There is a small gift shop and picnic area. There is a short walk from the parking lot to the falls. The water is white and the sound is good. The view is amazing. You can spend 30 minutes here. Must visit in Squamish. There are also a few trials here. There are restrooms available.

Squamish Spit & Estuary is a well-known tourist destination that offers breathtaking natural scenery, panoramic views, and an abundance of bird species. It is a perfect place for exploration and photography, with its beautiful landscapes providing ample opportunities to capture stunning photos. Although the area can be windy at times, it's still a great place to walk around or simply enjoy the view from your car. The road leading there may be rough, but it does not require four-wheel drive vehicles.
The Squamish Spit and Estuary is a bird watcher's heaven! But be warned, the gravel access road has many potholes and can be rough for sedans or cars with low clearance. Make sure to arrive at low tide & pack muck boots if you want to walk all the way out on the spit. Arriving at 9:00 am this morning, we spotted otters playing, a seal resting on a log, herons fishing, and an assortment of local songbirds. Great views of the Chief and Garibaldi!

Beautiful water/ mountain view! The spit itself was not easy to walk on and we could not go too far as the tide was high. The estuary area leading up there was nice pleasant hike with a lot to look at.

Down a long uneven gravel road lies a little piece of windy heaven. Estuary on one side river on the other! Views for days! Home to a ton of wildlife! A wonderful place to explore! Wear a jacket, the wind is strong!

A fun, simple bike ride from Downtown Squamish. Relatively flat terrain, although the surface was quite uneven on the spit itself. There were some big potholes, large rocks and jagged edges. A mountain bike would sail through but my city bike did not fare that well. It was worth it to take in the scenic views. Sweeping mountain landscapes and a tranquil creek that meandered around wildflowers and tall grasses. My wife and I were so taken aback by the splendour and spent a warm sunny day watching kitesurfers and blowing dandelions.

We had been to the camping at this location. The park was so good and pleasant. The wash rooms were well maintained and always clean. 24 hours warm water facilities and warm showers. There are multiple trails around.

We did Stump lake loop with our small dog, it's a beautiful short hike/walk along the lake. If going to four lakes trail, just be careful to check which trails are dog friendly if going with your pooch, some arent! Parking was full by 10 already, beware of that. Worth coming early for a short walk, or staying for a picnic- the picnic areas looked lovely! Those aren't dog friendly though

Alice Lake Provincial Park is an absolute gem of a destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Our recent camping trip there left us in awe of its natural beauty and the plethora of recreational opportunities it offers. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the serenity of the surroundings. The towering trees and the tranquil lake make for a picturesque backdrop that takes your breath away. Our campsite was well-maintained, and the campfire under the starry sky was a perfect way to end the day. What really made our trip special was the family-friendly atmosphere. The kids had a blast exploring the area, and the availability of paddle boarding at the lake was a big hit. It's a fantastic way to enjoy the pristine waters and soak in the serene ambiance. Alice Lake Provincial Park is not just a place; it's an experience. It's a place where you can disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with nature and your loved ones. Whether you're an avid camper or just looking for a day of outdoor fun, this park has it all. It truly is a wonderful place, and we can't wait to return.

This is a beautiful lake that many many people go to. They have campsites but you really have to book early if you want to get in. There are lots of hikes in the area and it's a great spot to park for the day and trick through the beautiful forests. A lot of the post photographs that I posted with this review are the hike that goes around Alice Lake. If you enjoy hiking, this is definitely something you should do when you are there.

Alice Lake is a wonderful destination for families looking to enjoy some time outdoors not too far from Vancouver. The lake is located in a stunning setting, surrounded by trees and mountains, making it the perfect place to enjoy a variety of water activities during the summer months. Visitors can bring their own kayaks, paddleboards, and other watercraft to explore the lake and take in the beautiful scenery. The water is clean and clear, and there are plenty of areas for swimming and playing in the water. During the other seasons, Alice Lake is a great spot for picnicking and relaxing with family and friends. There are plenty of picnic tables and other amenities, making it easy to spend a day enjoying the outdoors. One of the only drawbacks to Alice Lake is the lack of parking during the summer months. The lot can fill up quickly, so it's best to arrive early or carpool if possible. However, the park is well-maintained and organized, with plenty of signage and helpful staff to guide you along the way. Overall, I highly recommend Alice Lake for anyone looking for a family-friendly outdoor experience not too far from Vancouver. Whether you're looking to enjoy water activities during the summer or picnicking and relaxing during the other seasons, this park has something for everyone. The stunning location and abundance of amenities make it a true gem in British Columbia's park system.

Beautiful campsite. Well maintained. Nice hiking trails whether it be around the lake or on the longer 6.5km trek. There are no dogs allowed in or around Alice Lake, and they must comply with regulations regarding this. You are allowed to have your dog at your campsite. I'm walking on certain trails, but they are quite explicit. Washrooms are clean, well maintained, and the outhouses have clear roofs for natural light, and are well-vented and don't smell.

Great 👍. For day use. You can do swim, paddle boats, canoeing and all outdoor activities. Best for families ❤ also. Lots of patios around lake so you can enjoy your meal looking beauty.

Museums
Nestled in the heart of Squamish, the Railway Museum of British Columbia is a captivating destination for train enthusiasts and history buffs alike. Spanning 12 acres, this museum showcases Western Canada's largest collection of vintage locomotives and railway artifacts. Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich railroad history while exploring well-preserved trains that date back over a century. The facility is meticulously maintained, offering an organized experience where guests can learn about the evolution of rail transport.
It's a nice 'little' museum set to the backdrop of Squamish mountains. A bunch of railroad history to see and learn. Seems like they rotate locomotives/cars in the yard as I didn't see the CN locomotive. Real trains, model trains, and cute little experiences. I got to ride the speeder maintenance vehicle on the main track. (the photoed train with the eyes) Kids love it. An easy going 2 to 3 hours.

We took our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson to the Railway Museum on Friday morning. We were concerned that the 2-1/2 year old would not enjoy the exibits, but we were concerned for no reason. He loved it. He thought the train ride on the small train was the best time. He also enjoyed playing with the wooden train sets, sitting in the fire truck, walking through all the different train cars, watching the model train running through the large model town, and ringing Buddy's bell. We ended up staying for well over two hours without realizing it.

Such a fun and memorable visit! The museum has an amazing collection of historic trains, and the mini train and short ride are highlights. Definitely worth every pennies of the admission. The volunteers are incredibly friendly and passionate, which makes the experience even more special. A must-visit in Squamish! Looking forward to the North Pole Express and Buddy Train Ride.

This place was one of my favourite places to visit with my Dad during my childhood, however life got busy and we never found the time to make another trip to return. I have just recently turned 20 and decided to return after almost 14 years to experience the good memories again. I was immediately greeted by friendly smiling faces as I came through the gates, and couldn’t hide the excitement of walking through the same exhibits that brought me so much joy as a child. It was incredible to see the layouts, history, and exhibits that offered so much to a young train enthusiast so many years ago, and was still able to keep me entertained today. I want to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff and volunteers who were able to give me memories I hope to remember forever.

This is a great place for both kids and adults. There's a few ride on trains, with different engines, including a steam train so even a longer line doesn't take long. The ride itself was longer than I expected and they have small bridges, tunnels, a pergola, and a few silly things to see like gnomes etc. There are a couple different tracks so one ride can differ from another. There's no admission fee to the park, just a nominal cost to ride the train, the concession, and souvenir items. There's a party area that can be booked, a grass area with smaller picnic tables and a few larger ones with umbrellas for shade and a little rain cover. Mind the rules and watch young children when crossing the tracks to see the train displays on the far side. They usually have different scale trains running on tracks, such as N and HO. There's also a small scale train display inside the washroom building. The volunteers are personable and informative if you have questions about the park and/or trains. They even have a machine shop to fix the trains on-site which sounds like a specialized field, often prompting them to create replacement parts that can't be purchased. There is some street parking and a parking lot next to the park that are free but can fill up quickly if it's busy. It's a nice little place and as a 3 generation family, we spent approx 2-3 hours here.
Dee H — Google review
Quaint museum run by volunteers, not overly fancy but a decent amount of exhibitions to look around, mostly in weathered as used condition. Some real gems in the collection being the Royal Hudson, what an enormous glorious machine this is, blows the UK rolling stock out the water for scale! Could happily spend 2-3 hours here for a relaxed wander, longer with children as there is some child friendly exhibits and play areas. Cherry on top was the mini railway that takes a U shape journey round the site and its a great way to see some more of the rolling stock and spend 20-25 minutes relaxing on a mini railway
Alex S — Google review
Great museum. Worth the drive up to Squamish if your into history, or enjoy old rail equipment. A definite must see if you want to see one of the last few Hudson locomotives left.

OMG!! This is such a great place. Well worth the visit. Check when opened as run by volunteers. Great history of BC and Canadian trains. Make sure you take a ride on both trains! Fun place for adults and children. Wish I had known about this place a long time ago

Brohm Lake, located just north of Squamish, offers a perfect blend of rocky forest and a tranquil lake, making it an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. This large freshwater lake is popular among both locals and tourists and serves as a great destination for a day hike away from the main town. The serene lake is surrounded by lush, quiet forest with a shoreline adorned with massive boulders.
We only go here on our motorcycles. Parking has gotten worse and worse over the 10 years that I've lived here. Going later in the day (if you're a local) for a refreshing dip is so wonderful. I take my hammock to my favorite spot a lot. I like hiking up the steeper backside or access other hiking (including Tantalus look out) from the parking lot before cat lake (if you're heading north). I've had some of the best ice-skating memories on this huge lake as well. Dog friendly although it's kind if you keep your dog on a leash so they don't shake on people when they are laying out!

Fantastic place - just the parking is a nightmare. Clean water; 100% nature - a great experience. If you do a hike - note that the Bridge isn’t there (at least not as of July 4th 2025).
Thomas — Google review
Cold Lake with limited waterfront access at the South East end of the lake. Limited parking on hot days. Great for paddle boarding, kayaking or canoeing. Two rope swings. One along the North West end of the lake and one along the North East end of the lake. You'll have to hike around the lake to access these, or swim or paddle there.
Christian J — Google review
Parking can be a bit of a hassle and you might have to hunt around for a decent spot to sit, but once you’re settled in, this place is absolutely worth it.
Patrik — Google review
Nice hike around peaceful Brohm Lake. Plenty of shade from the trees, very few people on the trails end of August on a sunny day. Tantalus view trail worth the .2km trail to the top with lots of shady room. Happy to see newly built wood bridge on the way back. We only waited a couple minutes for parking with what seemed like people regularly coming & going.

WHERE DO I START! It’s probably the best lake we visited during our 1 week in BC. So good we visited it twice. It’s clean, clear, and calm/still lake. Lots of places to dive from, no jagged rocks (though water shoes are recommended). Swimming is great because it’s warm and clean. Probably going to be my go to place when I finally move there! Only downside is that it’s busy, but I guess it’s to be expected with it’s beautiful attraction!
Usman U — Google review
I drove by this lake many times but never stopped before. I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful the lake was. We spent a day paddle boarding on the lake, very nice nature and clear water. I don't know if this is an everyday thing here but the wind was very strong and kind of annoying. We will give this lake another chance for sure. 4 stars because of the tricky access to the water, be careful when going to the lake.
Livia R — Google review
Stunning lake. There is a serious parking shortage. We waited over an hour to enter a parking spot. There is no tidy seating area. Sitting on rocks. The bottom of the lake with rocks and not sand. You should arrive early in the morning.

Stawamus Chief Provincial Park, also known as The Chief, is a renowned mountainous park in Squamish that attracts climbers and hikers with its impressive granite monoliths and breathtaking panoramic views of Howe Sound. The park offers popular camping areas, a slacklining park, day-use picnic tables, and public restrooms at the base. The Chief hike is a well-liked intermediate trail leading to three summits: First Peak, Second Peak, and Third Peak.
I’m more of a food guy, but we were really excited to see some nature around Vancouver while visiting our friends and they suggested a First Peak ascent of the Chief. We were not entirely prepared for the intensity, but adjusted after a half hour and really started appreciating the beauty and cleanliness of the trail. Getting to the top caused days of leg soreness, but the view was entirely worth it and resulted in some of the most honest dopamine my brain had ever produced. Come prepared and well-stocked with food and water!

Beautiful place. You can find challenging trials all over the park, but you also have the gondola, so don't get tired. The views here are stunning.

A very difficult hike but you will be rewarded at the end with the most stunning views! We ascended peak 1 and a ladder plus some sketchy crawling on bare rock was involved. We also got a little bit turned around on our descent, so make note of the markers!
Viola C — Google review
Awesome to visit and see. The gondola ride is incredible, fantastic scenery and views both going up and coming down. The food in the restaurant at the top is very good, fair prices, friendly staff. The views from the observation deck around the gondola station at the top are breathtaking. The suspension bridge is one of the best features at the top.

This is a challenging hike in Squamish. Prepare for a natural stair master if you’re looking to take on this hike. The peaks are all really a site to see but you are going to be on all fours at one point. Thankfully you will have some assistance, there are chains that you can grab on to to get to the peak. I would advise anyone to be careful as the peaks do not exactly easy to access. There is cation to be used but it has been done by many so it’s not too dangerous. There are many people on the hike and everyone is friendly enough to give you any recommendation or guide. There are also camp grounds at the entrance of the hike so you can also set up camp here.

This was a really cool hike. Almost like an obstacle course! I had running shoes on and was fine, but it is pretty rocky/cliffy, so be prepared for that! Great views at the top too. We took a long break at the second lookout and still finished in around 4-5 hours.
Emma M — Google review
It is by far one of the best hikes I have done in British Columbia. Super challenging to many but a cup of tea for me. The best way to do it is start with the 3rd peak and then come down to the second peak and then first peak. There is a short cut from the second to the first peak you just need to be brave to climb the rocks without looking down. It's so trilling and fun. My legs thanked me after words. Tips, carry enough water and protein bars you need them. Do not liter no one wants to look at your rubbish. Go with a good camera the view is gorgeous. It's a great place to propose 👌🏾📷
Ivan K — Google review
Beautiful nature and the peace and quiet. Then the hike up was awesome with the climbs and ladders and chains.. and at the top of the peaks it's all worth it . The view is breath taking and the walk back in the evening was awesome through the forests as the sun set.. yet take it easy on the trail.. not really easy yet if u love hiking you will enjoy it

The Watershed Grill is a laid-back bar and restaurant in Squamish, offering a taste of Canadian cuisine along with the opportunity to catch sports games on TV. Its riverfront patio provides a stunning setting to enjoy the natural beauty of Squamish while dining. The menu features an array of dishes including wild salmon, seafood, ribs, pasta, and homemade burgers. With its friendly service and cozy atmosphere, this waterfront eatery is known for its draught beer selection and quality food.
Needed a place to eat and stumbled upon this quaint-but-cute-looking restaurant along the river. The menu was conventional but had a fun, eclectic twist, so it had something for everyone. The drinks were priced reasonably and portions were very generous, so we all feel we definitely got what we paid for… And the view was amazing ☀️ Would love to come back the next time we’re in the area! Thanks for the superb service and food!

Great place to have a meal when in Squamish. The location was by the water, really nice relaxing view. This places gets really busy during Summer. Came in around 2:30 and was told I have to wait for 30 minutes. Hot seated after 1 hour. The staff was really and welcoming and the fish and chips were great and reasonably price. If you have time to wait for a table( this is a good place to eat. Highly recommended. This is the same restaurant that was used in the Netflix series “Virgin River”

We went for dinner around 8 p.m., and I have to say — everything about this place was super nice. The staff were warm and welcoming, service was relaxed but attentive, and there’s plenty of parking just across the road. The restaurant has a cozy vibe with outdoor patio heaters, and even though it was a cool October night, we chose to sit outside. You can just make out the river flowing right in front of the patio, which must look absolutely stunning during the day. The food was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. I even ordered tea afterward, and the presentation was perfect. Highly recommend this spot — great atmosphere, friendly people, and incredible riverside setting. Definitely a must-visit when in Squamish or Brackendale.

If you happen to be in Squamish, (maybe taking the gondola ride, visiting Shannon Falls, or coming down from Whistler or up from Vancouver) this is a great spot to stop for lunch. It’s a little off the beaten path and it has limited parking, and it is a climb, (requiring navigating a good flight of stairs to access the patio) so it’s not “accessible”. The floors are worn, the staff are gracious and welcoming, the food was hearty and delicious, but my rating is as high as it is because of the view. Seated inside or on the patio you will look up and down the river and beyond to the mountain tops. It’s just a lovely place on a sunny day to fuel up and take a deep breath. Two recommendations on the menu: the tomato soup and the yam fries. Some photos, to enjoy!

The is the restaurant that was featured in the Netflix series Virgin River. The setting on the river and the mountains in the background is spectacular. The place is what i call a 5 star joint. Food was great and our waitress Jada was awesome.

I think serving food items on printed paper doesn’t seem very healthy. That’s a thoughtful observation! Some people feel that printed paper might not be hygienic, or that it can affect the presentation and taste of food. Others might worry about the ink used in printing. Other than the food it is Very tasty. The location is very beautiful and the staff are very friendly. No doubt about that..!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Watershed Grill is one of the best spots I’ve been to recently, and I can honestly say it’s worth the drive. The view by the river is absolutely beautiful, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal on a sunny day. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff were warm and attentive. I tried the fish and chips, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had — the batter was crispy, the fish was fresh, and the fries were golden and perfectly seasoned. I also ordered a burger, which was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Both meals were served hot and fresh, and the quality exceeded my expectations. The combination of great food, beautiful location, and friendly service makes Watershed Grill a standout. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy classic comfort food with a view, this restaurant is an amazing choice. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Fergie's Café is a legendary dining spot located in Brackendale, British Columbia, nestled within the Sunwolf resort. The café has a rich history dating back to the early 1900s and is renowned for its breakfast and brunch offerings. Situated on the river, it offers stunning views and a cozy atmosphere. Following a fire in 2018, Fergie's Café has been transformed into an architectural marvel.
Beautiful location by the river with mountain views and a cozy, laid-back vibe. The brunch is fantastic—especially the Eggs Benny and shirt rib with eggs. Worth the wait on busy weekends for the fresh, locally sourced food and peaceful setting.

Overall, a great spot for a day outing. The wait time was about 45 minutes, but I enjoyed the view outside and even saw salmon jumping upstream. I ordered the BBQ asado, which I found a bit too greasy for my taste.
J H — Google review
Fergie’s Café is something special. It’s the perfect mix of great food, beautiful design, a relaxed vibe, and genuinely lovely staff. I had the smoked salmon Eggs Benedict, possibly the best I’ve ever tried, with perfectly poached eggs and a great balance of flavours. The food here always impresses with its fresh ingredients and thoughtful touches. The design adds so much to the experience: clad in black-stained cedar and steel with rusted plate accents, the building feels modern yet grounded in its setting. Elevated above the floodplain, it offers amazing views of the surrounding landscape. Inside, the mix of wood, steel, and big windows creates a warm, bright atmosphere, while the outdoor patio and lawn seating are perfect for sunny days. In cooler weather, the indoor space feels cozy and inviting, and the outdoor patio, with heaters and blankets, makes for a warm, comfortable experience too. Service was lovely, friendly, attentive staff who clearly take pride in what they do. If you love brunch, riverside views, and places that bring together design, nature, and exceptional food, Fergie’s Café is a must-visit.

Fergie’s Café, Absolute Brunch Gem! We had brunch here last week and it was amazing from start to finish. The food was fresh, creative, and beautifully presented — every dish felt made with care and local love. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, surrounded by nature, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The coffee was fantastic, the portions were generous, and everything came out perfectly timed. Definitely one of the best brunch experiences we’ve had in the Sea-to-Sky area. Highly recommend Fergie’s — can’t wait to come back! ☕🍳✨

The quality of food is exceptional but the portion and sides could be better for this price range. The location is pretty nice and you can spend hours to explore the surrounding. My favourite spot was the fireplace that you can relax for hours. Many parking spots available. Despite the number of people visiting, they do a good job in managing crowds and ensure you get a table to enjoy.
Arman — Google review
The atmosphere of this restaurant was stunning. I’ve never been to a brunch spot as cool as this one. The ambient lighting along the wooden passage leading to the entrance was a beautiful touch. My wife and I visited on a foggy, rainy day, which made the place look even more magical. We ordered the BBQ Asado Hash and the Bison & Pork Smash Burger. The Asado was especially impressive—the chimichurri and harissa hollandaise were a perfect pairing for the asado. I’m not usually a brunch person but this dish completely won me over. The food is on the pricier side, but it’s absolutely worth it. I finally found a restaurant I’d happily recommend to friends visiting BC. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more of their menu.
Tom C — Google review
Heard so much about this place, tried a couple of times, but the line was too long. Finally made it here. Honestly, the reputation is larger than life. It was okay. Food was not particularly unique, fries were too salty, prices on the high side, environment- it is like eating in a cafeteria. You are not missing a lot if you don't make it here.
J T — Google review
The place has a beautiful view, and although we waited about 3 hours, it was totally worth it. The menu is a bit on the shorter side, but everything on it is well thought out and super tasty. We ordered the Spicy Caesar it was amazing. I had the pulled pork, and my friends had the Bennies. Everything was delicious, but the Bennies were definitely the standout. There are a couple of cute shops around the area, so it’s easy to kill time while you wait. Plus, there’s a river nearby if you have some time, it’s definitely worth checking out for a nice little walk or just to enjoy the view.

Phenomenal! The charcuterie board was generous and delicious! Who knew duck prosciutto is a thing? And the shaved beet salad was so delicious, my son says he thinks he's now going to crave salad. THAT salad. The pasta of the day was salmon, capers and lemon cream sauce, and The Salted Vine burger was delish! Servers were attentive and friendly. Fantastic experience! Thank you Romain for taking such good care of us!

Dined here for my partners birthday and everything was incredible!! The servers were so so lovely, the food was absolutely outstanding, and they brought out a birthday dessert on the house for my partner. The bread for the table is absolutely to die for, freshly made in house!! Really reasonably priced for the quality - will 100% be coming back here!

Friendly staff. Good food. We sat on the patio, don't do that. It was windy and dust was getting into our eyes and our food. The charcuterie was okish. The salmon and the pasta were great.

Please read my review carefully before you dine. The multiple awards this restaurant has received does not match the current state of this establishment. We chose the Salted Vine for a special occasion as we wanted an elevated dining experience. 45 minutes for our entrées to come out. Service was friendly, but super slow despite the restaurant at low capacity. Meatballs were dense and dry. We asked for more sauce but the wrong sauce was brought out. The salad leaves were old and yellow (see picture) as opposed to green. Duck was cold when it came out. The only decent things were the cocktails. Spent nearly $200 on a dinner that we had higher expectations on. Save your money and go elsewhere.

My family and I dined here on a Friday evening for my father-in-law’s 75th birthday. There were 7 adults and 1 two year old. We arrived at 6pm for our reservation and didn’t receive our overpriced (and mostly ice) drinks until 6:30. It wasn’t until 7:00 that we received our first piece of food - bread and the worst charcuterie board we’ve ever seen and tasted. This set the tone for the rest of our visit. None of us were happy at this point and were ready to leave, but our lovely waitresses kept insisting the food was on the way. Finally, our main courses showed up at 7:30. The steak was undercooked; the risotto was soggy and tasteless; the clam linguine was tasty. We had preordered deserts, but at this point we were ready to leave, so we asked for them to be packed to go. None of us will be back to this restaurant, nor will this be a place we recommend to anyone in the future. They have a lot they need to improve before that happens.

Second time eating here. Last time was about two years ago and we remember we were very satisfied with the dishes we had. This time I have to reduce a star as I felt the quality has gone down. Beet salad and duck breast were excellent, but disappointed with wagyu beef meat balls and mushroom risotto. Sorry to say that the meat balls tasted like they came out of microwave. Duck confit in steamed buns tasted good but could have a better presentation. Service is friendly and efficient, but overall disappointed.

One of my favourite beers and I’m so happy I finally got to visit their brewery. They have a lot of different flavors and products available, including an awesome orange creamscicle style sour - which tastes more like a dessert than anything. Fun spot that has a discount when you dine in as well - which is an added bonus. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking to try some fun beers.

Hands down the best pizza at any brewery I have been to. Flight of IPAs was good but the G.O.A.T. pizza was outstanding. Great crust: good leoparding, good structure, and great taste. The toppings were rich but reasonably well balanced in texture, saltiness, and fattiness. Service was just OK, borderline poor.

Great beer and usually great pizza. Maybe we just ordered wrong and shouldn’t have strayed from our normal pepperoni but the Hawaii 5.0 pizza was so disappointing. Undercooked and incredibly floppy to the point you can’t even eat it. Everything falls off the moment you pick it up. Maybe we just got a bad one or caught them on a bad day as usually the pepperoni is great. Pretty disappointing though considering it was $50 after tip for 1 beer and 1 pizza to go that we could hardly eat.

Nice little brewery. Came on "Wing Wednesday" ordered the salt and pepper wings and dipped in their dill forward ranch and hot sauce. Nice crispy wings. Good beers and sours, got some to go. Regret not getting a pizza, guess we will have to go back. Parking is not ideal but we found parking on the street, nice for bigger vehicles.

Excellent craft beers with a smooth taste. The pizzas are cooked fast with a thin base (great so you don't fill up on dough) - a few different varieties. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Sitting inside you can see the vats and machinery where the beer is brewed.

Oh my God the best wings I have ever had in my life! Oh yeah the beer is not bad too. :-) My husband wants to remind everybody that we also have the schnitzel on a different night, so we went back naturally and I am still shocked at how good the Korean barbecue wings were really really good.

I'm, shall we say, a finicky beer drinker from Vermont. Such a PITA that I sometimes don't look forward to traveling. On our way to Whistler after flying in to Vancouver we needed a place to eat. I typed in "breweries" and this place came up along the route. Thinking it was a burger and beer place I was excited mainly for the burger (again, not having much hope for the beer). Imagine my disappointment when I found out it was a pizza place (the older I get, the more lactose tolerant I do not). Well hold on to your lug-nuts, they could have served vinegar coated pretzels for all I care. That was one AMAZING beer. Holy cow. I mean, I mean... Shark Repellent? It has wrecked me from any other beer. You couldn't see through that beer with ground penetrating radar! If I could have, I would have all left my clothes behind and packed a case to bring back in my carry-on. All I could bring home was a souvenir can :( I wish I had tried some of the others but when you find a beer you instantly fall in love with, you don't want to be separated. And now that I'm back home there is just a dark hole of sadness that is waiting to be filled either in a return to the West Coast OR for waiting for folks to figure out how to do here what Backcountry is doing over there.

Been a couple times over the years. Today we went as a family of 4 with our two kids who are 2 & 3 years old. All of us enjoyed it! Right from the greeting when we walked in to when we left, staff were helpful and friendly and happy to offer beer choices for my tasting flight. Fries and GOAT pizza were delicious. Decor is fun - our 2 year old loved the moose head 😂 It was nice because it was still quiet when we arrived at 1230pm on a Sunday but tables had filled up by the time we were leaving. Thanks for a nice meal for our family!

Saha Eatery is a cozy and health-conscious restaurant that offers a modern twist on Middle Eastern cuisine in a laid-back setting. Drawing inspiration from Lebanese and Moroccan flavors, the eatery prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients to create authentic dishes from scratch. With daily lunch specials and a menu featuring highlights like Halloumi, Deep Fried Cauliflower, and Baba Ganooj, Saha Eatery promises a delightful dining experience.
My hubby and brother was there to enjoy something we don’t normally eat. The meal was super delicious, even I’m not a potato person but they have crispy potato, the skewer is well made. I was pretty full. The size is big and flavour is savoury. Strongly recommending it.

My chicken pita was super burnt to the point you can taste the charcoal and overall underwhelming. The other dish we thought would be warm but instead the Baba Ganooj in the pita was cold, and just didn’t hit the spot. The service wasn’t outstanding either. However, the tomato lentil soup and fries were both pretty good. The service wasn’t outstanding either, we somehow got our orders late and didn’t feel welcomed. Overall underwhelming but not horrible. Bathroom was 🚽 🚽 🚽 🚽/5

The food here is delicious! Definitely worthwhile checking out this restaurant!! The restaurant in the outside looked nice, inside it needs some work. The tables and especially the chairs could do with replacement as they had the appearance of being chairs that had been picked up from Goodwill or the Salvation Army. The food was good, I had the Falafel which came with Hummus and zatar potatoes. My wife had the grilled Salmon which she enjoyed. The service was okay, really not worth talking about. The Mango juice had the taste of have being watered down. $4.50! Aside from the appearance of this restaurant the food (not the drink) is worth checking out!

Honestly, unexpectedly good!!! Stopped here on the way back from Whistler, was surprised by the quality of everything! Hostess was SUPER sweet and the food was delicious! Really left us speechless considering Squamish isnt a big city and we weren’t expecting this good quality! Definitely would recommend this eatery!

Wow, this is probably one of the best Lebanese restaurants my boyfriend and I have ever experienced! Went there after a big hike and received a warm welcome right when we walked through the door. Decor is modest but the flavour profile of the food was on point. The dips and baba ganoush were out of this world and the meat and veggies were cooked well and fresh. Will definitely be our go-to spot next time we stop by Squamish!

Howe Sound Inn & Brewing is a rustic brewpub located in the charming town of Squamish, offering a variety of craft beers and delicious food options. Situated along the breathtaking Sea to Sky highway, visitors can enjoy scenic views of Howe Sound and the Coastal Mountains while savoring farm-to-table dining and exploring the area's rich history at attractions like the Britannia Mine Museum.
The craft beer selection is fantastic—lots of variety and always fresh. The food pairs perfectly with the brews, with hearty portions and plenty of comfort options. I had honey garlic wings and ribs with yam fries, they were perfectly cooked. Service is friendly and relaxed, making it a great place to hang out with friends or grab a casual meal after exploring the area. The mountain views from the patio are a bonus!

The location is good but the inn could use many improvements. Breakfast included is out in the hall with no coffee (we were told to use our room machine yuck!) breakfast was a small box of cereal and milk or a dry croissant. I’d recommend they include brewed coffee in the hall with breakfast at the least. We ate several time at the restaurant (which is good) only to discover a sign in the elevator on our way to check out - that if you stay at inn you get a discount. Lastly we parked our car in paid lot across the street and our credit card got compromised so just park behind the inn. Place is pretty basic definitely charge a lot for what it is. Maybe next time we just book an Airbnb instead. Sorry.

Always an incredible time Here with the best food imaginable! I of course had the famous amazing ale and cheddar soup mmmmmm I crave this as soon as we know we have booked whistler and over the years it’s a must and part of the trip! My husband had the poke bowl and absolutely loved it. The service was incredible! We sat outside the temp Was lovely, really enjoyed the views and the birds! And of course our drinks! I had a glass of wine and my husband was so happy and really enjoyed being able to have a draft non alcoholic beer as he’s driving the car…. He loved it

Wow, what an incredible experience! I was in the area for a business trip from Abbotsford and stopped by for lunch. I tried their lunch special with a veggie burger, drink, and fries; absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The staff were wonderful, and the manager and chef are truly gems. Great food, great people, and an overall amazing spot!

The hotel location is great, however that's really where the positives end The room is shabby and dated, maybe not all rooms are the same. We were in room 1 which was next to he bar. It was noisy until about 2300. They had a quiz on one of the nights, we could have joined in from the room The shower made a high pitched noise whilst being used The choice for breakfast was a few boxes of cereal, some reasonable bagels and some fruit They took $100 holding deposit from us. 8 days later after 5 messages and a phone call they have still not returned the deposit. When i rang the hotel about the deposit the staff member wasn't interested. She told me they didn't take a deposit, then said they had but it would have been returned when i checked out and then hung up I would not recommend this hotel at all
Alex R — Google review
Extremely disappointing stay. Would not return. I don’t mind that the room, bathroom, and furniture are dated — with this budget, the room size is actually decent. But the problem is, the place fails to provide even the most basic essentials. Heating / A/C: There’s no proper heating. They said there’s an A/C unit, but it’s a huge one mounted just 5 feet above the bed (the A/C plugs directly into a wall outlet, and you need to plug that in by yourself — not a permanent or professional setup at all. ) — and the bed is only about 2 feet away from the wall. The unit itself is thick (around 10 inches), so my husband nearly hit his shoulder on it when getting up at night. The noise of the unit is unbearable; there’s no way anyone could sleep with it running. We ended up turning it off, which left the room freezing (and it’s November in Squamish!). Bathroom: No ventilation. After a hot shower, the steam filled the room and brought out a strong musty, moldy smell. Breakfast: Honestly, the “breakfast” is a joke. I’d rather they just skip it entirely and lower the room rate a few dollars instead of giving guests false expectations. Security Deposit: This was the most frustrating part. I booked through this platform, and they charged a security deposit CAD100.00 at arrival. When I asked for proof of payment, the reception said they couldn’t provide one because it was “not a purchase,” just a hold. But when I checked my bank email later, it showed up as a "Purchase". Completely unacceptable. I originally booked one night but needed to extend another night for work. They required me to pay another full CAD100.00 security deposit just to stay an extra night — even though it was a continuous stay. They explained it was because both nights were booked through the platform separately, so they needed two separate deposits. As of today, CAD 200 is still being held as a “purchase,” despite their claim that the first one was already refunded. Wish the management will get involved to return me deposit asap, the reception said everything is the policy... what policy is that that people are charged but can't even get a proof? I got sick after coming home, cough, sneeze and fever. The room was freezing last night as Squamish' temperature has dropped but no heat in the room. Overall, this property is far below standard — both in facilities and management. I would never stay here again, for work or for personal travel.

Stayed at the Howe Sound Inn and it was the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. We had ice cold water in our room and no hot water in our room for our entire stay. We had to shower in another room at the other end of the hall. Staff lied to us and said that all the rooms had no hot water due to "events" going on, when it was only our room and they knew there had been problems with the water for a while. Room was poorly maintained. Paint peeling off walls, knobs missing off old, beaten up furniture, broken soap dish, high pitched squealing noise during the night and when showering in the other room, etc. There was a strong smell from the brewery in the common areas, as well. Clearly Niradia, the parent company, and Viaggio only care about the dollars coming in and do not put a cent into their properties. The bar was equally poorly maintained. Floor and furniture were sticky and not clean. Will never use one of their hotels or restaurants again. Requested and received a full refund.

WEDDING REVIEW - Aug, 2025 I want to give Kyley and her event team an HUGE thank you for helping us put on just the BEST wedding reception ever and for making it so easy!! Your flexibility was unmatched (from what I’ve heard of other venues) and lead to the most stress-free day ever. Kyley was so responsive all the way leading up the wedding, was super open to ideas and timeline changes and such, and was super present on the day. Not only was the service wonderful, but the location is absolutely beautiful!!! The views of the chief from the Firebread room were breathtaking. Our guests absolutely loved the mushroom risotto!!!!! One of the best I’ve ever had. For reference, we had 89 guests and I’d say that was a good amount for that room, not sure I’d add any more. I would highly, highly recommend Howe Sound Brewing for your mid-sized wedding in Squamish (especially if you don’t want to be robbed by modern day wedding prices. Howe Sound was by far one of the most reasonably priced venue for our reception)

The menu features an array of vegan options including banh mi tofu sandwiches, cauliflower salad, and veggie burgers with homemade vegan mayo and cheese available.
Hidden in Squamish. Incredible food. Drank alot of their beer. Loved it. We had a great day. 12 of us. You have to order your food at the taps. You get a buzzer. Worth it! Great outdoor seating.

Locavore is such a treat in Squamish! I really wish they had a location in North Van, but whenever I get the chance to go to Squamish, this area—and this place—is a must. The salmon burger is huge, and the portions overall are generous. M The seating area is spacious, warm, and inviting, and the menu is extensive with options for everyone—from vegetarians to vegans to pescatarians. It’s located in a fun little spot with some nice shops and even an ice cream place nearby.

I ordered a Brisket with Wedges and a lager which was approximately $32 ish dollars. Food took around 20 minutes but the wait time is advertised before ordering so there’s no surprises during busy periods. The wedges were hot but the brisket was disappointing. A sandwich that could be described best as a red cabbage sandwich. I did mention to the chef and he kindly gave me a touch more brisket. So many thanks there. But unlikely to return. Tipping at a quick service/ grab your own food/ clear your own table should start at 10% on the terminal. Tipping fatigue is real and it is exhausting having to change the percentage.

Fun concept, open courtyard with a food truck. Very slow kitchen. A little pricy. The food wasn't anything special. You can easily split a portion between 2 people.

The veggie burger (chose the vegan option) was extremely delicious! You can choose different sides, I’ve chosen Pita and Hummus. The pita was not my favourite. It was more like tortilla chips and I expected it to be like a bread. Nevertheless a great meal just because of this awesome burger. I had a mocktail which was good as well. The service was good and fast, we waited 15-20min for our food and less than 5 minutes to be served. It was on a weekday at 8pm.

Had an amazing gluten-free wrap, I got the gyro. I chose a side salad, which was very tasty. I think it had beets and pumpkin seeds, and the vinaigrette was very yummy. This place does their sauces well, there was a lot of flavour in all the food. Healthy and tasty, glad I went there.

Fox & Oak is a charming and trendy cafe that opened in the fall of 2020. The cafe offers a unique coffee experience by showcasing various coffee wholesalers. With its clean white decor, floor-to-ceiling windows, and delectable doughnuts, it's an Instagram-worthy spot.
A great little corner cafe. Coffees, pastries, and specialty cocktails. The staff is friendly and efficient. The drinks are prepared well and served hot, or cold depending on the drink. There are small tables and a counter. A small patio accommodates those who want to enjoy their time outside. There is also a small area along the curbside. We were there for over an hour and there was always a line of customers waiting to order. We suspect it's always like that at this cafe.

On the corner of main, quaint little cafe. Tried a gluten free cardamon donut and regretted not getting a real donut. Had a matcha too which was pretty good. Ended up getting a real vanilla bourbon raisin fritter and that hit the spot.

I visited this cafe because I heard it’s really popular these days, and I could see why! The interior, atmosphere, and beautifully made donuts were all amazing. We got our donuts to go, and the bread itself was so tasty. They even sell donuts for dogs. Our pup absolutely loved it! I’d definitely come back if I visit the Squamish area again.🍩

It’s worth the long drive from Vancouver. The place is a bit small but they have patio seats outside which has a nice view of the mountain. The staffs are nice and friendly. We are not gluten allergic but had to try the Thai tea donut which is really the best among the donuts that we ordered, Mango passion fruit and Maple walnut are the other two. The cortado coffee is good and the london fog is okay.

This place was our go to almost everyday when climbing in Squamish. The old fashioned donuts were SO DAMN GOOD!!! The drinks were pretty good too, I tried the lemonade, chai latte, but ultimately stuck to their iced lattes since the other two kind of lacked flavour for me or tasted watered down. But you can’t be that mad about a dull drink when the donuts are THAT GOOD. (!!!) Very kind staff too :)

Got in early on a Monday so didn’t have to wait. Carrot cake doughnut was a delicious way to start the week. These aren’t by-the-dozen style of doughnuts. They’re indulgent treats to be savoured like a fine pastry. Once you understand that, you’ll appreciate that the prices are about right.

Donuts are reallly great here! Service is okay but i find most places in squamish don’t provide great service. Not sure why? The spot is super cute and aesthetic with a gorgeous view of the Chief. I had the strawberry peach matcha and it’s not powerful enough. Super milky and needs more matcha flavour. For $8.50 i expect better quality.

Sushi Sen Japanese Restaurant is a mellow eatery in Squamish that offers a variety of sushi, including specialty rolls, bento boxes, and authentic Japanese sake. Despite its remote location, it surprises visitors with its delicious and fresh sushi offerings. The Blue Sea Roll with real crab, mango, mayo, tuna, and garlic sauce is highly recommended. The restaurant also stands out for its attentive service and generous portions of fresh sashimi.
Service was amazing and food came out really fast. Sashimi was fresh and each piece was mouthful. I was also really impressed by the blue sea roll and the tempura, both were super delicious! A very cozy place that you definitely need to pay a visit when you’re in town.

Food presentation was good! Looks appetizing. Rice was a bit too mushy, almost like a mochi consistency. Miso soup was the best we've had in town 👌

I had ChatGPT summarize what the negative reviews were about… they had nothing to do with the food. Someone actually gave them a negative review because they wouldn’t let their dog in. I’m sincerely so tired of these entitled people. With that said… The sushi was incredibly fresh and tasty. It took everything in me to not devour each piece, which I tried to savor for as long as possible. The service was great, and the only reason why anyone would complain about it was probably when it was super busy and they might’ve been understaffed. This place is a gem, definitely check it out .

Izzy ruined our experience here. Our party of 10 ordered quite a large amount of food. Our first server was very kind. Food was mostly good, and was served really quickly. Only one dish was quite chewy and not enjoyable, it wasn’t eaten, and the party asked to have it removed from the bill. Izzy stepped in to handle the complaint and obviously is new to customer service and restaurant management. She told the party she wasn’t able to take it off the bill despite how much money we were spending, the dish was not eaten, and there was no offer to replace it. She ultimately told us she could take 50% off or make us pay full price. She was snide in her comments and facial expressions. She tried to withhold her name when we asked. As a party with guests who have worked in the restaurant business for fifteen years, we told her we weren’t pleased with her treatment and how commonplace it is to offer a refund for a dish, but she just kept repeating she was being professional and doing her job. We were pretty bummed out by her treatment. As a side note, I’d also recommend they clean the bathroom which was pretty gross, and the sticky tables need to be cleaned more thoroughly in between parties.
Megan R — Google review
We’ll never return to this restaurant, and here’s why…. One roll that was recommended to us was completely inedible. The ginger sauce tasted like runny mayo with no flavor, the tempura was so overcooked and tough it couldn’t be chewed, and the whole roll had the taste of old fish. When we asked to have it removed from the bill, we were sent another server, ‘Izzy’—who flatly refused. She offered only 50% off, was rude, condescending, and incredibly unprofessional. It was the most disrespectful service we’ve ever received and it ruined our entire dinner and vibe. What’s especially disappointing is that our actual server was wonderful—kind, attentive, and did a great job handling two families together. Unfortunately, Izzy’s behavior left us with such a bad experience that we’ll never be back. We used to frequent this restaurant frequently but since moving away we haven’t been back. We heard it was under new management and it’s such a shame. What used to be a wonderful restaurant now serves inedible food with horrible service.

Just amazing! Breathtaking views, but the ticket to the top are pretty pricey. There are a lot of trails here though, so you can save on gondola and have a really good hike. Just check the difficulty level in advance

Go for it.

It is a busy and beautiful airport that sees thousands of passengers traveling globally. The entire space is clean and well-maintained, featuring numerous restaurants catering to all types of travelers, ample amenities, natural lighting, comfortable seating, and detailed signage for easy navigation.
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is one of the most well-organized and traveler-friendly airports I’ve been through. 2025 August 3★ The Vancouver airport is really the bridge to Asian countries from Canada. There's no doubt about that. With Canada spanning a good chunk of land between East and West, you are certainly going to need a stop here when flying from the East coast. This airport isn't bad, but it's not spectacular. The good: easy interconnecting connections for multi leg flights There's some decent open spaces such as the open air atrium and play areas. The bad: the food prices are atrocious. About $20+ for fast food. Face it, you'll be stopping by here eventually. Just pack yourself a cup noodles.

The airport was SPOTLESS - couldn't find a single speck of dirt anywhere! 👏👍 Check-in was a breeze, super easy and efficient. Plus, the atmosphere was really nice and welcoming! The whole experience was stress-free! Kudos to the staff and cleaning team for keeping it so clean and organized! 🚀"

If you are in YVR international airport, you will like it. It's rated the best airport in North America. After you check in, it's better you go inside to eat and wait for your plane. There are many seating area inside and food court. Many nice shops to browse or shop around.

The chapel area is very CLEAN, quiet, private, and welcoming. The information lady upstairs wished me to enjoy my prayer when I asked her where the chapel is. I DID 😊. Staff are respectful welcoming taking really good care of the place. Dennis guided me and my son. Very thankful and grateful to the management and personnel in charge. Staff are great, smiling, and supportive. The chapel is located on Level 2 - across from Tim Hortons. Enjoy 🤲🏻📿📖🧎🏻‍♂️‍➡️🧎‍➡️

Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is fantastic! 20231102 The airport features many spectacular Totem Poles and Indigenous artworks. They are intricately carved and vividly coloured, making the airport feel like a free art museum. These cultural displays are very eye-catching and offer travellers a unique taste of B.C.'s culture. Just looking at the art makes the waiting time much more interesting!
