It's a short half-hour drive from Niagra vacation spots and well worth it. Great tasting experience, solid selection with good variety, and a friendly informed staff. I'd make this stop on any trip to Toronto.
We attended the Whiskey weekend and took the tour. A great place and very informative. Bonus was the live music, BBQ, corn hole game, bottle signing, gift shop and the free samples. Definitely going to make this a yearly event. Well worth it.
Tasting experience was great! Taylor was friendly and informative regarding the whiskies and liqueurs offered at the distillery. Online reservation is highly recommended. Pricing is worth it for the tasting!
Forty Creek has been one of my favourite Whisky’s for a while, since the Tariff’s took away Kahlua is no longer obtainable, I decided to try Bolivar’s Coffee Liquor and it is easily a superior product. I always order directly through the distillery and they always get the package to me the next day. This last order was suppose to come with a free 50ml sample of Pickled Vodka that never came in my package, but the shipping is so quick and everything else was right that I don’t really care. The packaging they send the items in is also really nice and ensures the bottles do not ever touch. I hope to get the 3L barrel they sell soon and maybe in the future, get a chance to tour the distillery in Grimsby Ontario.
We had a terrible experience at Forty Creek Distillery after driving roughly 20 minutes out of our way to visit them. The moment we walked in, we were treated like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. Despite arriving 30 minutes before closing time, they immediately shut down the tasting option and seemed annoyed when we asked to try just one whiskey. The three girls behind the counter had a negative energy and made us feel unwelcome. We were the only customers in the store after a few others left shortly after our arrival, yet they still couldn't be bothered to provide decent service. We ultimately decided not to purchase a bottle from them and will be looking for another local distillery to support. Overall, I was incredibly disappointed with the service at Forty Creek Distillery and would not recommend them to anyone.
If you are in the area, it needs to be added as a "must" stop. If you aren't in the area, make it a destination! The variety, service and exceptional offerings are well worth it. Beautiful tasting room with something for everyone. Amazing service and knowledgeable staff. Gaby was fantastic. Although you can just show up, I recommend booking your tasting ahead. ~Repeat visitor and loyal Forty Creek consumer. Cheers!
Great product. Annual onsite whisky weekend is always worth a visit with tastings, live music and games.
Highly recommend booking a whiskey tasting at Forty Creek. Elise was our host and she made the experience so enjoyable and educational. The whiskeys are delicious and you will definitely want to buy some on your way out.

Easy to get to and free parking. Nice trails along the top. All are fairly easy to moderate. Plenty of great lookout points. There's a staircase built along a rock wall that'll take you down to a trail. From there if you want you can head up the river (if it's dried up) and you'll eventually come to a small waterfall. Head the opposite way and I think you come out near station 1 coffeehouse.
Why is this place not more well known!!!! Oh my goodness it was so peaceful and the trails were great and the views were amazing!! And there is a lookout where I watched about 30 turkey vultures sit in trees and then circle around flying. Such a magical place!!!
It’s a nice trail. The main advantage is that it’s mostly shaded; which is perfect for summer walks. It also has an accessible trail to lookout point, which is really rare for conservation areas. Parking isn’t huge, unless we have not seen another entrance. There are also toilets.
A lovely short hiking loop with a stunning lookout. The waterfall is a small detour and the access is from the Ridge Rd. The water level was low and we could "walk" the falls but there was a bit of a stench there so we could not stay there for long. A map would be a useful addition to this trail. The washrooms are out of order.
Such incredible views. Really worth the visit. We have gone multiple times. The only issue is the parking at popular times. Unfortunately people who were parked safely off to the side were getting ticketed while I was there. By-law were a little zealous on that occasion… but the park itself is perfect.
Fantastic trail with great views. Much of the trail is easy to hike and accessible to people with wheelchairs or walkers with wheels that are able to manage pea gravel. There are also plenty of "goat track" type side trails for the more adventurous. Nice lookouts too
Great visit to Beamer Memorial CA, even on this gray rainy day. The main trails, including the Lookout trail, are well packed, smooth, and wide for wheeled vehicles like strollers, wheelchairs and walkers. One of the two lookout platforms is accessible on the lower level. The Bruce trail also runs through the park. The parking lot off Quarry Road has a decent number of spots available. I'd like to visit again during hawk migration season to see the viewing tower. Views over the lake are tremendous even on a cloudy day - a sunny day must be spectacular. Looking forward to a warm weather trip! March 9, 2024 Cynthia & Jamie

Nice, quiet, beautiful place for a quick visit in the region. The noise from the falls is soothing and relaxing.
Absolutely stunning spot for a day hike or quick nature getaway! Beamer's Falls is a hidden gem—peaceful, scenic, and full of natural beauty. The waterfalls are breathtaking, especially after a good rainfall, and the surrounding forest trails are well-maintained and perfect for all skill levels. The lookout points give incredible views over the Niagara Escarpment, and it’s one of the best places around for birdwatching, especially during hawk migration season. There’s a calm energy to this place that makes it ideal for walking, relaxing, or even just sitting and taking it all in. Parking is easy, signage is clear, and it never feels overly crowded. A must-visit if you’re exploring the Grimsby area or just want a peaceful escape into nature.
It's a Gem,trail is easy and the Falls offer great opportunity for pictures, one can adventure on side trails to see the bottom of the main falls and also lower falls however be prepared to have good waterproof hiking footwear and walking poles definitely an asset!
Came to see the fall, but there's no fall as it's drying out. It could be nice during the rain season. The parking place is not easy to find. There are hiking trails, so we end up took a shot hiking.
Beautiful hiking spot with many trails. The falls is gorgeous too. Keep in mind, there is a falls further up, past the first one you see. There is a rope you can use on the right side of the first falls to pull yourself up. It's not much further!
It was a nice experience. We just took a deviation from highway and drive towards grimsby. Fall is one of the attractions which is very near to the town. A parking facility is near to the falls, but it's difficult to notice. It's before the destination arrives. You can walk down and try the trail. It's better to visit during falls. It will be really beautiful. Will never let you down.
Lovely trail & great waterfall. To see the front of the falls you have to go along the road at the end of the trail until you are at the scouts house.
Beautiful falls but this season before winter not much water left Few parking spots and not much spots to view falls

I played a gong meditation two weeks ago at the gallery. Beautiful. Great folks attended. And the gallery staff were fabulous to work with.
Beautiful. Simple but lovely, well worth checking out the art and gift shop. Pokemon Go players will find lots of stops and gyms in downtown Grimsby!!!
Small little gallery in the town of Grimsby. It's a nice space to take in some art and local subjects. Niagara falls was the theme for March.
Was visiting for the annual Wayzgoose Printing Arts Festival. Always impressed by the work this library is doing in its community. This year I had the pleasure of seeing it's musical garden.
Very friendly helpful staff. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Lots of activities for every age. Love our Grimsby Library📖📚📓📒📚♥️🌠🌟😚
Great community space. Gallery has great programming and shows some excellent artists. The library is in the same building (separated by a gift shop) and is an airy comfortable place.
Always an interesting and inspiring place to visit. A nice get away, for a short while, from the hustle and bustle of life. We just enjoyed the Pumphouse Artist exhibit. Lovely.
Was invited for a friend's show opening. Excellent, of course. Clean, spacious and a cool vibe. Connected to the local library and staff are well versed in Arts. Easily worth the trip and a tour of the area.

We have attended several events hosted by the Grimsby Museum including the Graveyard Tours, having attended two years. They are always well planned, extensively researched and very informative. Tiffany is friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. We appreciate this amazing community resource and Team, thank you!
Went to see the fantasy of trees. Setup very nice. And for a good cause. Go support the Rotary Club of Grimsby
We took a drive towards Toronto and decided to make a few stops along the way, which is how we made our way to this quaint local museum in Grimsby. Being our first time on this side of Canada, it was a great space to learn more about the cultural historical development of Ontario. Tiffany and Colleen were beyond insightful and engaging; we had an excellent time getting to speak with them. This museum has such rich and deep ties to the community, it's great to see such a thriving and supportive relationship. I'd take the time to visit if you're in the area!
Lovely museum with Interesting and meaningful displays .
This was our first time here. We're definitely going back. What a great piece of history that still looks beautiful. We recently went for a kids activity and didn't really see the show rooms. Next time for sure!
The Christmas trees get you in the spirit and the gift draws are enticing.
First time Medieval Exhibit to see until end of October 2018. Definitely popular subject matter for families and elementary school age children. Many hands on activities such as brass rubbing, medieval games and crown making to inspire. Examples of chain mail on display. Worth visiting each season as the exhibitions change. Upcoming Halloween event Oct 27 at the museum. Plan to return for the annual Grimsby Rotary Club's Fantasy of Trees Nov 23-Dec 9. Surprisingly good for a small town museum. Permanent collections also available online.
First time attending Fantasy of Trees - it was a cool experience. Nice to walk around and see all the trees decorated. We’ll be returning each year now

We took the fascinating tour and learned many details about the Nelles history in Grimsby (known then as The Forty). The Forty and Forty Mile Creek were considered 40 miles from the mouth of the Niagara River.
My daughter and I really enjoyed our tour! Our guide was a young guy( sorry, can't remember his name! Whoever was there Saturday, January 10). He was very enthusiastic, quite funny, and you could tell he loved his job. He gave us a 2 hrs tour! Thanks for a good experience and for preserving this place for us to learn from and enjoy🙂
We had our intimate wedding ceremony at Nelles Manor in June. The ceremony was performed in the drawing room, followed by pictures taken inside the home, and the beautiful grounds outside. Our guests thought it was just perfect. Thank you to everyone involved who made the afternoon run smoothly.
What a beautiful historic landmark in Downtown Grimsby! We stopped in for the 10 am tour and it was absolutely an amazing experience! Mark our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the Nelles family and their participation in the history of Niagara and Grimsby itself. We asked lots of questions and it was very difficult to stump Mark on any dates or facts of the manor or the surrounding region ! The restoration of the Manor to its original beauty is truly amazing .Don’t miss this experience if you visit Grimsby Ontario
How lovingly restored! What a huge commitment for a volunteer group. Our guide Katie was amazing with a wealth of information about the Grimsby area, the war of 1812 and of course the lineage of the founding Nelles family.
Myself and three friends toured Nelles Manor today. We found the tour to be informative and interesting. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the Nelles family history and local Grimsby history as well. It is a beautiful home, decorated with Georgian and Victorian period pieces including a few unique historically significant pieces. The grounds and garden are lovely. It is located in a very pretty area of Grimsby. I highly recommend this tour!
Came here for a tour. Had a great time. Great way to spend a couple hours. Very informative and learned quite a bit. Didn't realize how much history was right in our backyard.
Very interesting place! Rich in history, the guide brought us back in time and showed us what life was like 200 years ago. Highly recommended

There are a number of attractions here in a small area. The pumphouse, the Indigenous history, the War of 1812, Colonial history, the water of the Lake and 40 creek, the birds, the trees, and a trail that has a surprise near the end.
I've been coming to this ever changing location since 1967, where I smoked my first cigarettes and got in bits of trouble. It's a pretty and unique location, set next to one of the world's biggest inland freshwater seas, lake Ontario. Nearly 60 years later, I brought my Thai wife here - that's her in the picture. She loved the place. Lots of greenery, big lake, not as searingly hot as Thailand.
What a beautiful discovery! Took my mom post-surgery and was a lovely afternoon spent laying in the sun!
I really enjoyed this park! Little bit of history beautifully displayed on Lake Ontario. People with SUP's, canoes, and swimmers. The trail the winds along Forty Mile Creek is kinda great but could have issues for those with kids. There is a lot of broken glass, some of it could be old, but just something to keep an eye out for. Part of the trail is posted as Closed because of a bridge that looks a little old. Use at your own risk! Saw a Kingfisher looking for food which was a nice surprise. Many ducks, gulls, and a few geese.
Loved the hiking trail just off the parking lot of 40 mile creek. Its not a long trail but its so scenic and crosses a wooden bridge that is closed but passable..a couple of the planks are damaged. The bridge is stable. The sides of the trail are ablaze with dame rocket and other wild flowers. There is a gorgeous wooden teepee lean-to dedicated to Terrabita that is fun to check out. Its a great starting point for a loop hike to nearby Beamers falls. Around 9.3km return.
Peaceful, lots of geese and other wildlife.
This spot at the end of the Forty, right on the beach it's always a great place to relax and take photographs. Unfortunately there has been little done in years (by the town) to maintain the park, beach or anything but the Pumphouse. The Pumphouse is off limits to the public but I'm pretty sure it can be rented for private engagements. Despite there being a lot of visitors year round, the Town of Grimsby will not maintain a Johnny-on-the-spot year round. From November till late spring consider the great out doors your toilet. The walking path, boardwalk and bridge have all fallen into disrepair and barricaded by the Town because there has been no resources to maintain what once a fabulous trail.

Friendly inspiring sermons & music here at Lakemount Worship Centre, Grimsby, Ontario, Canada.
I listened to the sermons online from April to May of this year and I loved it here! Lakemount is a warm, spirit filled church that makes everyone feel safe and welcome. The worship flows with the Holy Spirit and Pastor Matt is one of the greatest speakers I've ever experienced.
Awesome service, great people, wonderful time had by all!
Throughout the week I tune in to hear the word from Pastor Matt and the exceptional guest pastors, all the way from the other side of the continent. Online there are literally thousands of choices for an online service. Nothing else I’ve found compares to hearing the word delivered from Lakemount. Non Political, grounded in the true word of the Bible and Holy Spirit led. Pastor Matt preaches to his congregation with such clarity, respect and reverence. He always takes you on a journey through the Bible. And he’s hilarious. The message always stays with me. PLUS the worship team is stellar. I always learn so much and these services are life giving and life changing. Thank you Lakemount for providing such a valuable life changing resource. This church is an inspiration to Canada.
I can't recommend this church more highly! As someone who struggled to feel like I fit in, in church and out of it, this place made me feel welcomed and at home. I found Jesus here, and my life is transformed because of it. ♡
Fantastic church with great leadership, inspired messages and very kind people.
Such a beautiful place to worship. Love the music, you can tell everyone presses in when serving. Very organized and I really feel the Holy Spirit. My kids love it as well. Very fun and engaging for them and they do the funnest activities to keep them engaged in the word.
