An unexpected stop in Vandregoof led us to the tourism and culture centre. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of useful information about the region the staff and various booklets offered. We felt welcome and not rushed. Historic village on premises offers a story of early settlers. The cafe offers basic coffee and hot chocolate, however amazing Filipino food. Gift shop is unique, and you can buy works from local artists at a fair price. A quick stop turned into a 2+ hour visit, an we loved it. I am leaving a review here to encourage more visits!
It’s definitely worth stopping by, even if it’s just to admire the impressive wall carving. And don’t miss the museum! It’s super interesting, even if you're not a history buff. A great little spot all around. Last but not least, Jeannie at the visitor centre is an absolute gem - super friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
Interesting displays in the Visitors centre, including an amazing wooden mural! The EV charger with a token $1 fee doesn't hurt, either. Didn't look around other than the Visitor's centre.
Great little museum. Friendly staff a nice walking trail and dog park
This information centre has helpful and friendly staff, informational pamphlets and displays, public restroom facilities, and memorabilia and art pieces for sale from local artists. It also has one of the largest and most intricate wooden murals, and two absolutely stunning stained glass panels, that are as impressive as they are beautiful. Definitely worth a visit.
Awesome building and surroundings. Went into nearby early buildings. Spacious. We amazing and impressive art pieces (stained glass and wood carving). Very clean a BB do welcoming. Not a widespread choice of brochures but good for region.
This is a great museum and historic attraction - it has been set up with great passion and dedication, and the result is interesting and inspiring: the history of the First Nations here, and then the stories of how the new city was founded and built, and the struggles the early settlers had. It is well worth a visit.
Amazing site! Historical buildings are together. Better than general city museum.

Friendly caretaker. Awesome location right on the river but also just around the corner from anything you may need. Very peaceful and clean.
Very friendly host and clean campsites. The showers are a bit rough. Had a bit of a strange vibe with random people (non-campers) walking through the grounds. When we checked out we were told that it’s best to keep all your stuff locked away due to the theft, homelessness and drug use in the area and under the bridge at the back of the campground. The neighbouring park is really beautiful and fantastic for kids. We had booked two nights but moved on after one due to the vibe and RCMP being there to manage the homeless and foot traffic.
Riverside Park Campground in Vanderhoof is a peaceful spot right by the Nechako River — perfect if you want nature without being too far from town. I liked how easy it was to walk to shops and grab a bite, yet still feel tucked away. The sites are well-maintained, and having water and electricity hookups is a big plus. Washrooms and showers were clean during my stay, and the free Wi-Fi at the office was a nice touch. On the downside, the campground can get busy during peak season, and some sites feel a bit close together. Also, if you're looking for deep wilderness, this is more of a hybrid spot. Still, it’s a solid choice for a relaxed, convenient camping experience.
Great campground! Fantastic people run it, and when something happens, they solve it immediately. Will always come back to this campground.
Hesitated to come here because of the previous reviews but very glad I did. Completely safe, no issues with any homeless, all of the bathrooms and showers are locked with code so no one but guests can get in. Big private sites, next to park with a great playground for kids.
Cheap over priced spot with only power . Washrooms totally terrible access to disabled people . Stayed in many B.C. Forestry campgrounds 10 times better . But was a spot to crash and Richard the Host was whitey and Humorous and made up for it Chef D .
I went to stay here but unfortunately upon check-in the gentleman checking me in told me how awful the place was and that I needed to lock everything up make sure to keep everything inside my motorhome or it could be stolen also that there'd be heroin needles found in the bathroom so I went to my campsite thought about this information and decided it'd be smarter to drive 30 minutes down the road lost $ but probably a smarter decision
Beautiful park at Vanderhoof. Nice lookout area, playground, and wash facility. Will visit again

It is a very interesting place. We came to closing time, but young lady let us in to see 100 yo white sturgeon and told us about sturgeons' life and more.
Was an interesting tour. Learnt alot about sturgeon. Great educational spot for kids to learn about fish. Get to see real fish in different stages of their lives. Very interesting.
Great facility. Enjoyed the tour
One of the sturgeon is a different colour.
Went fishing at their catch and release pond on Father's day weekend. The staff are really knowledgeable and helpful, would definitely recommend to people new to fishing. Great experience, thank you to the staff at Nechako White Sturgeon hatcheries.
Lovely tour today - definitely recommended as a stop if you're in town!!
Wonderful place doing great work that involves the entire community, including school children. We were given an unofficial tour and saw the absolutely massive sturgeon in the tank (Hef and his girls). Good informational plaques describing what the centre does and the risks faced by the sturgeon.
Amazing facility with friendly and professional staff

Closest Timmies to my workplace so I drive through it every other day. Often has homeless loitering around but I don't mind sparing a coin for my fellow man so it doesn't bother me much. As it goes with every Timmies, the ice coffee is Russian roulette, will it be too sweet, too bitter, or just right? You never know, but just gotta get it every time! Lol
I thought Prince George would have need the centre but I guess the spot is closer to Vanderhoof. Strange why blue spruce were planted in front of the cairn instead of behind.
Nice day for a drive

We had a memorial service for a loved one and were treated very well by all staff. Placed this bench in memory.
Incredible front 9. It's built in the woods, with hills. Even passed a deer. Back 9 feels like an afterthought, literally 9 holes on the field. Would recommend the front 9. They have a grass driving range.
New owners, refurbished club house and starting to see the golf course come back to life 18 holes with great service and a drink cart
Good 18 hole course. Front half is challenging. Back half looks like it was a old field turned golf course but gives you a break for those off shots. I'd golf it again next time I'm in vanderhoof
Racist towards natives. Definitely won’t be golfing here anymore
