Waterpark was awesome. We enjoyed this park thoroughly when visited Quebec. Park had many water rides which were enjoyed by kids. It had warm water too so didn’t feel cold. If we are visiting as tourists I suggest you to go early(around 09:45) so that once park opens then you can get one of the shades. Also have some food snacks with you. Overall you will definitely enjoy the park.
Good family fun. Nice water parks indoor and out. Restaurants not so good. 4.50 for a fountain pop, 9 dollars for a slice of works mainly mushrooms not even fresh .Bring your own drinks. Bring snacks. Burgers free like fully processed not much real meat. Fries were over cooked and tasted old like cardboard. Eat away from hotel . Nice hotel, seems to be ran mainly by student. Like a gigantic McDonald's mentality.
My family enjoyed a three night stay over the weekend of October 3 - 6, 2025 and we were not disappointed. We stayed in a family suite that was spacious, clean and well adorned. The room was top notch. Our “Tropical” package included passes to the water park on two days. We had full use of Bora Parc without lines or waits. We all had a great time. The hotel staff were excellent and indulged my efforts to speak en francais. The staff were bilingual and happy to switch to English when required. La receptionist, Louise, est tres gentile est professionelle.Merci! The hotel restaurant The Captain, has a nice selection of food and the poutine (very large portion) was excellent. This is a great resort to visit, with excellent amenities, close to Quebec City and a very professional staff. Merci beaucoup. On reviendra bientôt!
Pretty dang cool facility! We chose to do the indoor park (Bora Park) on a Sunday at the end of July. We got there right at open and stayed for about 3.5 hours. That was enough to tire out both of my kids who were 13 and 10. No lines for any of the slides! We got a cabana but honestly it is not worth the price. If it were busier, yeah maybe it would have been nice to hide out there for a bit, but really they are not worth it. There was one teenager in the kitchen and one working the till at the restaurant so it took a while to get food, but all things considered it wasn’t too bad. We don’t have anything like this where we’re from and the kids had a blast! It was an extremely expensive day factoring in the cab rides to and from Quebec City too.
Our stay at Village Vacances Valcartier was nothing short of amazing — the perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and top-notch hospitality. The resort has everything you could possibly want for a memorable getaway: a luxurious hotel, a world-class indoor waterpark, an incredible spa, and a variety of dining options all within the same property. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, with all the modern amenities you’d expect from a premium resort. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience comfortable — friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The indoor Bora Park was the highlight for us — tropical vibes in the heart of Quebec! The slides, lazy river, and wave pool were so much fun, and everything was well maintained and safe. Dining at the on-site restaurants was another treat — great food variety, generous portions, and a cozy ambiance that made every meal enjoyable. Plus, having access to the spa and all the inclusives really made it feel like a complete luxury experience.
While it was quite busy for a late July week day, it enjoyed our time at this water park. We were happy with our decision to rent a cabana. We arrived after 11 (an hour after the park opens) and there wasn’t a chair left to put one’s stuff. The cabana comes with a fridge, safe, electrical and USB outlets, fan and waters. It was worth every penny. We were impressed with the design of the park, more specially the lazy river. The theme and ambiance were really nice (I won’t spoil it). While you do need to get off at the end (about 12-15 minutes), we managed to do it many times despite long lines, but they move fast. Generally, the park is smaller than, say a Six Flags water park, but it’s big enough for every age group to have fun. Finally, the wave pool almost never stops. After 15-20 minutes, the waves stop, but start again within 2-3 minutes tops! As expected, the concessions were a big meh. Not only were they not cheap but I waited nearly 30 minutes for 3 bowls and a wrap at one of the restaurants. I think they were training kids…. As we walked around we noticed all the locals bring large coolers with all their food…. Despite this little hiccup, I would definitely return to this park.
Wonderful outdoor waterpark for families, beautiful lobby, my 5 yo had a blast! We went Saturday and Sunday and even though it was packed there were space for everyone and we didn't wait much to do the rides. We will definitely be back! Thanks! I only wish the food areas had a better manager, and a nice breakfast included option with the hotel stay, In the waterpark the servers (teenagers) didn't wear gloves to serve the hotdogs, prepare the burgers etc. We also tried to have breakfast in "Le Capitaine " and we paid 60$ for 2 adults and we didnt even eat it because the food buffet was covered in flies! The servers didnt bother to clean, it was very dirty 🤢, food was terrible we could not eat it and that kind of ruined our nice experience in the hotel. (Only for this reason I'll remove 1 star). Everything else was awesome
This place is amazing for families. I usually buy a Calypso water park pass for the season, you can enter here for free if you have the Calypso pass, so my family and I visited for 2 days. Lots of options for family and friends. Hotel and camping on site.

Honestly such a unique experience! We did the day pass visit and were blown away by the sculpting technique and the skill. This felt like pure magic. The detail that went into every part of this ice hotel, chapel, bar, restaurant, slide, and exhibit was phenomenal. I cannot recommend stopping here any more highly! It wasn’t too crowded and had so many activities. There’s a winter playground tubing park, indoor water park, and then this ice hotel exhibit. Outdoor fire pits, etc. Staff were friendly, helpful, and very proud to assist in the upkeep of this facility. Wild that you can stay here overnight if you wanted! 10/10 this was so much fun for my entire group. It’s certainly family friendly and accessible for wheelchairs (even though there is snow everywhere, they have a wheelchair on skis!). Take the time to visit this exhibit if here from January-March!
I was looking at booking a stay here or at the least, visiting. After looking at the responses by management to those who've complained, I won't bother. It seems people with concerns are dismissed and invalidated and yet asked to "give us another try" - without an offer of a discount or any form of meaningful apology. Whoever responds to these reviews need to put a little more heart and thought into their responses. A potential customer lost.
The Ice Hotel and ice sculptures are impressive —but I found it quite overpriced. My husband and I were also disappointed to learn that guests can only access their rooms late in the evening (around 8 or 9 PM) and must check out by 9 AM the next morning. For the cost, that felt like very little time to truly enjoy the experience. What really put us off, though, was discovering that the sleeping bags are reused. Mine had a strong scent of men’s cologne, which was unpleasant since neither of us wears any fragrance. Considering that nothing else is included in the price—just about 12 hours in what seem to be unwashed sleeping bags—it didn’t feel worth the money.
We did the hotel tour. Fantastic ice sculptures. Great concept. Really fun ice bar with drinks. We explored the rooms but didn’t find it as spectacular as rest of the ice hotel. Definitely should visit, the sculptors and builders have added so much detail on every side of the building, it’s mesmerizing!
Our family spent the day viewing the hotel and the sculptures. This was a bucket list stop for me. My children enjoyed the slide and the various sculptures, each room was unique and we all voted on our favorite. This is def worth the drive to see the amazing art that the sculptures have created.
Visiting the Hôtel de Glace in Québec City was an unforgettable experience! The craftsmanship and artistry behind each ice sculpture were breathtaking, creating a magical atmosphere throughout the hotel, chapel, bar, and slide. Every detail, from the carved walls to the illuminated ice decor, was stunning. It wasn’t overcrowded, so we could fully enjoy exploring. The nearby winter playground, tubing park, and indoor water park made it perfect for families. Outdoor fire pits added a cozy touch, and the staff were warm, helpful, and clearly dedicated to maintaining this unique space. Staying overnight is an option too—definitely a must-see from January to March!
Another one off our bucket list! The iced hotel was a lot bigger than we thought, hard to imagine that they recreated this (rooms, chapel, restaurant, ice sculptures, etc) every year and the amount of details in each room is incredible. We stayed a night at suite 21, it was pricey but you get a hotel room (check in at 4pm, but we were able to check in by 2:30pm), an iced room (available at 9pm), a drink in a glass that is made out of ice, tour of the ice hotel during the day, 3 hot tubes and a sauna for the iced hotel guests to shared from 9pm onward, skating rink was closed when we arrived, so we didn't get to check that out. We arrived early n did snow tubing too, it was a lot of fun! The sleeping bag provided were very warm, I was cold during the tour so I'm very surprised that I slept through the entire night with base layer, a hat n thermal socks. This was unlike anything that we have ever experienced before, definitely recommend!
Great experience! Cold as heck! I kinda hate the cold, but if you live it, you’ll be right at home lol. It’s a once in a lifetime experience, even just to see it. Very pricey. I wish I knew more before visiting - they have tubing and sports, and an outdoor winter wonderland! Very kid friendly. Bring a bathing suit. The actual hotel rooms were each individually different and themed. Very cool! And the bar uses cups made of ice cubes!! Gotta do a shot in one for sure.

The staff know what they are doing, they are very professional. strongly recommended. Very good service.
Perfect team, we were very well taken care of. Roman is a brilliant guide 👏. This was the best adventure during our stay in Canada. Highly recommend the company and the beautiful river!
Had the most exhilarating time rafting with NWE! Went with a group of 5, from which 3 couldn’t swim. Our instructor Oliver made sure to adapt to my friends needs, all along making them feel comfortable with the water. Although they were afraid of the water; they sure as hell love being in the water now, thanks to Oliver! The views were breathing taking, very scenic, fresh water falls. One of the best rafting experiences I’ve ever had! The rain made the experience even more wilder, with adrenaline rushing towards us! Hands down the best rafting place in Quebec! Thanks Oliver for everything!
My Wife and I were vacationing in Quebec and made the short drive up to go white water rafting. This place is awesome! English is our only language, the guides and staff were fantastic. The Guides are very knowledgeable about each section of the river and we had a great time getting to know ours between river sections. JB was our guide and he was great, A+. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a thrill. Ask for JB to be your guide, he is awesome!
Great day of rafting. The team were super helpful and friendly and made sure we enjoyed the experience as much as possible while ensuring we felt safe and reassured the entire time. Also went out of their way to help us get the most from the river including cliff jumping!

A well-organized place with excellent service! At first, I was a bit nervous because of my previous surgeries, but from the very beginning I felt safe and taken care of — the staff already knew my needs thanks to the form we filled out beforehand. The guides were always attentive, making sure everyone felt comfortable. They explained the rules clearly, which made the whole experience safe and truly enjoyable. I would definitely do it again and recommend it to anyone! Thank you for such an unforgettable experience!
One of the most emotional and energizing experiences of my life — and my very first rafting trip! We went down the Jacques-Cartier River, tackling class 3–4 rapids. We were lucky to have two amazing instructors: Romain, our lead guide, and Benjamin, who followed us closely in a kayak, capturing photos and making sure we were always safe. He took so many great shots — real action moments we’ll definitely keep forever. Romain was the ideal guide: calm, confident, and totally in control. Before we even touched the water, he trained us in all the commands. That preparation made all the difference — we felt safe, focused, and never unsure, even in the middle of roaring rapids. Before each rapid, Romain would explain exactly how we were going to approach it, what commands he’d use, and what to do in case anyone ended up in the water. His instructions always changed depending on the section of the river — he adapted everything to the current and conditions. At one point, we even had the chance to jump off a cliff into the water — which was just wild and so much fun! We also got to jump directly into the current and float downstream, riding the river like in a “lazy boy” position — an unexpected and thrilling experience. I especially loved the feeling of just switching off my brain and following commands. In my day-to-day life, I’m the one making decisions — but here, I got to surrender to the moment. After a quick snack stop, we drifted into a wide, peaceful section of the river — total bliss. But soon enough, we were back in motion, slicing through waves in sync, moving like a real team. If you’re looking for something unforgettable, full of adrenaline but well-guided and safe — I highly recommend this experience.
Great team and a great day out rafting! We got to the site a little early and staff were super sweet and welcoming. Got ready pretty quickly and then took a bus up to the spot we would be rafting from. Our guide was Alex L. And he honestly did such a great job!! Kept us well informed at all times, motivated us, made sure that even the people who were a little insecure would feel safe and have fun. The water was pretty shallow in some spots because it isn't a high tide season right now, which made some spots a little more technical to pass through. It was still a lot of fun to throw ourselves onto one side of the raft or the other to get through those sections (and almost tip over the boat once 😂)! We also did some "cliff jumping", which was basically jumping off of a huge boulder that was right in the middle of the river. We could choose to stay in the raft or jump from a 3m or 5m high ledge....and despite my ear of heights, I jumped off of the taller one! 😊 lots of encouragement from our guide there, so that's what made it possible. We also got to swim in the water quite a few times, which was super refreshing! We had booked burgers for lunch, so after we had taken off our wetsuits and showered, we enjoyed a nice warm meal before eventually heading back to Quebec City (which is also only a 30min drive away from this spot). Altogether a great experience, would do it again for sure!! But next time definitely in May so we can experience those high tide waves 😊
Had a great time here with my wife and two of our daughters (their first time rafting). The rapids were fun and our guide, Jeremy, did a great job keeping us safe and entertained. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the water was low and we got stuck on rocks several times, and with all the effort to get unstuck, a little refreshment would have been appreciated but the staff forgot to bring the snack. Not a big deal, we’re all human! Would definitely do it again, but earlier in the season with higher water!
Had a fantastic trip on the Tewksbury section with 2 teens. Our guide Samuel was fantastic! There were families with younger kids as well and they seemed to also love it. We were there at the end of August so water was maybe lower, but I preferred that and everyone still had plenty of fun. Would return 10/10
Very good place! They accompany you through all the steps. Everything is safe and made simple. This was my first time doing rafting. I would definitely come back to do rafting with them again. 100% recommendations this place!
Amazing experience, some of the best rapids we have done. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Felix and Luigi were the guides for our raft and they were great fun and great at translating everything to English for us. Good safety information before each rapid section.
We did the family rafting experience with our 3 and 5 year old yesterday. This was their first time rafting. Our guide Eliot did a great job with the kids and kept them entertained. I did not realize we were going to be stopping to do side activities like jumping in the river and having the kids go on a float and it was so nice to break it up and keep them engaged. This was a highlight of our vacation!

Had two family dinners here during our stay in Valcartier. Christine looked after our family of five both times and we enjoyed everything! Burgers come well done and dressed, and with ample fries! Real pub feel. Ample free parking. Kitchen closes at 8 or 9 depending on crowd. My only suggestion - if getting a salad, ask for the dressing on the side because that too is a generous portion! Fantastic experience at Pub St. Gab Hope to return one day! Merci, Christine!
Great meal here. Fun atmosphere close to Valcartier Vacation Village. Only a 5 minute walk. Great food, bilingual staff. Thanks for a great dinner!
Nearby the water park, awesome homemade style food, number 1 choice after the water activity.
Good food, good prices and great service by Koralie :) We tried samples of their different poutine sauces and they were all great. Bilingual service on top of that!
Pizza, salad, nachos, French onion soup. All awesome! Very good friendly bilingual service! Going tomorrow for breakfast
We went there yesterday and it is very near to the ice hotel (Hôtel de glace). They have a lot of food choices for adults and kids. The atmosphere inside is so chill. Also, I appreciate the server who was very nice, accommodating and friendly. She made an excellent job! I recommend to try their "soup of the day". Just surprise yourself.
Koralie looked after us with the utmost of attention and friendliness.

I had a really good experience staying here with my family. Yurts 🛖 we’re very cozy and relaxing. Special kudos goes to Silvie, who went out of her way to make my experience amazing!
Centre Castor is a wonderful place to visit. The trails are beautiful, and the yurts are spacious, clean, and comfortable. While you do need to walk a bit to reach the bathrooms and showers, it’s really not a big inconvenience. One thing to keep in mind is that the site is close to a military base, so you might occasionally hear training exercises. Overall, it’s a great place for a relaxing getaway in nature.
I tried the mountain biking yesterday. Simply put, what an outstanding network. To whoever initiated the development of such an awesome trail network and made it free to use for military members, thank you. I can see this as a massive boost to morale. I’m sure most wont appreciate that this is world-class biking that many people would drive hours to get to, and on a military base of all places. I obviously will be back.
Amazing yurt experience with my family. Clean comfortable modern accommodations in the woods with lots of activities available.
A great place to hike up the mountain and enjoy the added workout stations along the way. Each station has a workout challenge that will keep you motivated till your reach the summit. Great cardio workout!
Fairways and most greens in good condition. Some red tee boxes need work. Staff is excellent! Hard to get desired tee times though.
Great spot for mountain bike trail
Very nice golf course in good condition. Good layout and good test from back tees, play was slower than expected but did not spoil a good day.
