Amazing location. It's been on my life list and I almost did not see any due to weather. Perroquets and Ile Nue were cancelled due to torrential rain. I could not reschedule the next day due to high wind. Finally in my last day in the area, the weather broke and I got to see Quarry and Niapiskau. So beautiful. I would loved to have stayed longer, but I took what I could get. The Parks Canada guidea were very informative. Dress warm and in layers. It's very cold and wet on the boats and then you heat up walking around the islands.
This island is beautiful. You can take a hike on the beach to go see the monoliths while encountering marine wildlife.
A must visit place in Québec by the Sea route. The views never disappoint you. You need to book the boat ride to the island in advance though.
Want to escape crowds? This is the park you should go to. Amazing rock formations and nice eerie foggy mornings.
Great experience! Love spending time on the islands . Perfect set-up by parcs Canada great walking trails.
I was reading all the reviews because I am planning to go but I'd like to know when it's the best month to go (no rain). The comments are very encouraging and motivating. I can't wait to be there.
Long drive from Montreal but worth it. WOW
Beautiful islands with unique rock formations that would rival the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Cappadoccia, Turkey. We took boat tours that brought us to Ile Nue, Ile Quarry, Ile Niapiskau, and Ile Peroquets (which has no rock formations but has a lighthouse and is also a bird sanctuary). All are spectacular. Boat tours are a must-do. We also stayed two nights at an Oasis (a Parks Canada mini-cottage with solar lighting, propane heating, and BBQ but no electrical or water system). We got to the island through a boat taxi. This is a superb option for non-campers like us but its main drawback is that reaching the camp from the boat drop-off is a long and very rough walk to carry your bags. But the views around the island are all incredible. Highly recommended.

Very nice boat trip to Niapsskau Island nice walk when there excellent guide from Havre St Pierra
Best tours of the rock formations that stops at Niapisco island(best formations) and Quarry island (good formations). My understanding is puffin tours don't leave the boat and those are best done from Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan. Tour is only in French but captain spoke English and answered any questions.
We love the excursion. The boat, nature, information everything was great
Extremely nice boat tour. The captain and the lady are nice, knowledgeable and welcoming. They speak both French and English.
The building and parking lot were modern and clean. There is a small cafe on the waterfront. If you have questions about the experience you would like to have speak with Parks Canada first. They know about the islands, parks and camping. You have to book and pay for your transportation with this company. The captain was AMAZING! We took a Zodiac to a small island where we hiked for 3 hours. I don't like fast boats or waves but the captain made it enjoyable.
Great six hour tour involving total of four hour stops at three islands. We had a foggy day which added to the "atmosphere". Great geology and flora.
Nice place 👌

Beautiful lighthouse on a small scenic island near Hauvre St. Pierce. We arrived in the fog. The lighthouse is about a 1/2 mile walk from the boat dock. You can walk out on the rocky beach near the lighthouse and get very scenic views.
