A nice small provincial park located off of hwy 3, there is a short hike/walk to three viewing benches and a small campground. Since it is located beside the hwy, you can hear the traffic as it goes by and there is a fair bit of truck traffic.
Great little spot to stay, if you like to hang out in the camp site. There is a trail to hike, but it is small and doesnt take long to complete. You can cross the fence at some points so perhaps you could hike down there as well? 🤷‍♀️ The views at the benches are beautiful though. Worth the night that we spent there, $18 a night. The back campsites are more private than the first couple, but they are also closer to the highway. If we were in the area and needed a spot to stay a night I would go back here.
$18 for a place to sleep is pretty steep in my opinion. very buggy toilet, but other than that it seems fine. flat sites with a fire pit and table. i would recommend finding another place to camp if you are passing through
The campground was very casual, good spot for a night. The walk to the falls was enjoyable.
$18 a night. One pit toilet with lots of bugs. Had a quiet evening.
Nice and quiet. Just opened but weather was amazing. Almost no one around and sound of creek was nice, didn’t even hear highway (we were at site 2)
This is a first come first serve only campground and does not accept reservations. This is what lost the 1 star for me. Comming from Vancouver the distance is too far for me to risk a site not being open when I get there. That said this is a nice little camprground. We drove through on our way to Kettle River Rec Area (which does accept reservations). The sites were flat and well spaced out. The sites had fire pits. I did not check out the toilets but you can tell they are pit. I have only found 1 pit toilet that I consider clean and usable, it's in yoho, and I will not reveal it's location due to I don't want it ruined. Overall I would camp here.
Bring your own toilet. The outhouse is nasty. Home to 100 flies and covered in waste. They might want to consider hiring someone that actually cares about the place. People come and collect the money and sometimes empty the garbage, but they don't even look at the toilets, clean them, add extra paper, etc.

Fantastic sandwiches! Fantastic coffee! If you're hungry and need a delicious, and filling sandwich for your road trip, STOP HERE! The sandwiches are very filling, and extremely tasty! Paired my Grazer sandwich with a wonderful Americano Misto, this place should be a mandatory stop for any traveller in this beautiful area. Didn't try the ice cream, but wow, there are a ton of flavours. There is a little gift shop with plenty of items, and some neat antiques around the shop. Really though, get a few sandwiches for your travels. You will NOT be disappointed.
What an excellent little shop sandwich, deli, ice cream store and more! Friendly service, incredible sandwiches excellent ice cream and coffees. Highly recommend this stop. You can browse around the local art and knickknacks while you wait.
My partner and I stop here any time we drive through. The owner is so lovely, and the coffee is great! And i get to browse all the cute trinkets (and occasionally purchase) while our coffee is being made. It is such a delightful stop on a road trip - so much better than a gas station coffee.
We came in for breakfast this morning and picked the first sandwich we saw on the menu. The Angry Itallian was hands down easily the best sandwich we have ever had. We have literally never been so impressed by a sandwich. We will be telling our friends and will be back someday.
Great family owed business. Always friendly and helpful. Food is very good. Rare place to get breakfasty items. Local artisan items , delicious ice cream. Propane tank exchange. In the summer they lend their lawn to for a market with fresh vegetables, pies, antiques, eggs, fish , bird houses, burgers.. Etc . Great community gathering and economic boost for the locals . Thank you guys
Cute little place. Love the food. Large variety of ice cream for the kiddos. Best coffee.
Have driven through Rock Creek many times and took the time to stop for a coffee at this great destination. Our espresso drinks and breakfast sandwiches were amazing. Looking forward to an affogato next time! Wonderful staff and atmosphere. A must stop for us from now on👍
My friends and I stopped here with about 10 kids on bikes. There was something here for everyone. My afogoto hit the spot on the sunny morning. Since the kids were slow finishing ice cream I ordered a ham and Swiss Panini. Ice cream, coffee, espresso, sandwich's... What else do you need?
