This wonderful museum provided a welcome educational diversion from a spectacular but lengthy road trip. Anna Lee was the highlight of my visit. Knowledgeable and instantly likeable. Thank you all for maintaining this apposite representation of the life of George Johnston.

What a wonderful museum! The staff was very knowledgeable and have us an great introduction to the museum. We enjoyed seeing all the artifacts and learning about George Johnston. We walked around the outside areas. There is a nice area where you can have your lunch. The bathroom was very clean. Definitely worth the stop.

Excellent museum that really brings the Tlingit culture and the story of their transition to a white-dominated world to visceral life. Johnston was a remarkable man. His photographs of the village and people are fantastic. The museum holds tons of incredible artifacts and really well done dioramas. You need to see this.

What an amazing visit we had at George Johnston Museum! For a small town in Teslin, they sure packed a punch with a rich history of the Tinglit Tribe clans and with all the fantastic displayed pieces & animal mounts! We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the tour! Bought a few beautiful mementos & souvenirs to remind us of our visit! If you haven't, George Johnston Museum is a must-stop, must-see when you're passing through Teslin, Yukon Territory! 💚

Wonderful educational museum with lots to see, read and hear from well informed amd engaging staff! Life wasn't easy for George Johnston and those who lived inland Yukon during those days before modern amenities but he certainly was impressive with his desire to learn and master new skills and make life better for those around him. I look forward to watching some of the movies about him once we return home and have time. Thanks for a wonderful experience at the museum.

A great museum honoring First Nation photographer and larger-than-life character, George Johnston. Also, well covered, is the cultural history of the Inland Tlingit and Teslin. I love the archival photographs and extensive video about Teslin. This museum and the Teslin Tlingit Heritage Center are must-see destinations for anyone interested in First Nation culture and history.
