We recently enjoyed a peaceful one-night camping trip that offered exactly what I was looking for—tranquility and a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The campsite was quiet and well-maintained, making it an ideal spot to unwind and soak in the beauty of nature. While there were no hiking trails, the serene environment more than made up for it. It was wonderful to just relax, listen to the sounds of nature, and recharge. The facilities were clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, this is the place to be!
Nice campground, the washrooms and showers could use with an enlargement, not sufficient for the amount of campers on North side and Pines, and they could be maintained a little cleaner, floors always dirty. Beach is gravel and stone,
Very small sites. NOT motorhome friendly! Nothing even close to being level. Fantastic staff and friendly seasonal campers, though. My advice if you camp here ... park on the road to register, and walk to view your site before taking your camper in.
This place is beautiful. We grabbed a pavilion for a birthday party a d it was perfect! The views are incredible! But hey, lake Erie smells almost as bad as lake Ontario. It's cool though because it's beautiful. The smell doesn't matter when you're staring out at the lake in awe of its majesty and vastness. From the mid day to the sunset this conservation area provided. Hawks, swallows, and finches were plentiful and flying all around. For a short drive from Toronto this was a great area to have a bbq, enjoy some non-city views and quiet, and kick backs with folks you love, to eat some food and hang.
Wonderful and such beautiful views; a great getaway for family and friends. A gem in Ontario you should visit at least once! Highly recommend the drive. Beware the terrain is rocky on shores.
Great one-night camping 🏕 stuff was friendly and helpful, a lots hiking trails and camp was clean. Only thing down was dead fish on the beach (every 2m one at least) there is sign but still. Also it's not the easiest way to get down on the beach, specially with little ones and some stuff. Overall great experience.
The site we booked for our son the waste pipe and water hook up was too far from the trailer which was ok as it was just him, he just walked to the bathroom but it wouldn't work for a family. I walked to the bathroom but it was not disabled friendly. The sidewalk was not wide enough for my walker and none of the stalls were for disabled so if I was staying I wouldn't be able to go to the bathroom where he was staying.
Great place to camp! Beautiful sites. Showers and bathrooms were cleaned multiple times a day. Lots of walking trails. We are definitely coming back.
