We had such a fantastic time at Coffin Ridge Winery! Not only is the property absolutely stunning, but the experience was top notch from start to finish. The pizza was delicious, fresh, and perfectly paired with their wines. The drinks were outstanding, and you can really tell the quality and care that goes into every glass. On top of that, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. This is the kind of spot you want to visit whether you’re looking for amazing food and wine, or just a beautiful setting to relax with friends. Sunsets are 10/10 from their seating and you can even see great views of Georgian Bay on a clear day. Highly recommend stopping in. You won’t be disappointed!
An impromptu visit to this beautifully located gem of a winery totally surprised me. Nice , helpful staff and excellent munchies that paired well with my wine selections. A wonderful and affordable getaway in an amazingly scenic area. Highly recommend. Ron R
What a beautiful place with amazing views. Be sure to get the wood-fire pizza - it is SO GOOD. Service is a little lacking; when we got there a couple of servers passed us but didn’t acknowledge us. I stopped one of them who directed me to the distillery; after that, the service was great. A lovely young lady named Jorren helped us decide which ciders to include in our flights. She was pleasant, engaging, and her recommendations were excellent. I would suggest Coffin Ridge to anyone visiting the area, just don’t be afraid to stop someone for assistance.
The place is amazing. They have wine cider beer plus non alcoholic beverages. The staff I'd really nice and lots of seating. Go before lunch because it does get busy. The last leg of the road is rough packed gravel so not great for classic cars. Washroom was super clear. Prices average for a winery.
If you don't come for the wine, at least make it for the view. Stunning. As we honeymooned our way along the coast of the Georgian Bay, a kind stranger outside of an ice cream shop in Meaford recommended this winery to us. Man, it did not dissapoint. The views, spectacular. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, clean and air conditioned bathrooms, and the PIZZA. To die for. Buffalo Chicken with Bluecheese. Don't knock it till you try it. Service was on top of it. Oh, the wine was fabulous too! We took home 3 bottles and are slowly savoring it!
Fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Would like the opportunity to buy wine by the bottle when you’re with a group of 4+. The wine & the service needs to be as good as the view. Everything seemed to take forever. Even chips & dip!
I visited Coffin Ridge yesterday (Thanksgiving Monday). During our time there, there was a slight increase and decline in business, but overall it was not too busy. First, hats off to Mason. He was a pleasant, professional server and I would give him 5 stars if I could. The experience at the winery, however, was subpar compared to the many, many visits I have experienced over the last 15 years of going to Coffin Ridge. I have always been a huge fan of the Vintners plate- it has always been well portioned and well priced. I have literally praised it to dozens of people I have sent to Coffin Ridge over the years. Unfortunately, that no longer seems to be the case. It used to come with 3 cheeses and 3 meats, but now only comes with 2 of each. The portions of the accompaniments has also decreased substantially, ie the chocolate, the olives, etc, but of course, the price did not decrease. Shrinkflation in action, I suppose. Also, it was odd watching a staff member repeatedly socializing with one table for extended amounts of time. They obviously knew each other, but the server stood there playing with a guests hair, sat at their table, ate their food etc... I have been in the service industry for 25+ years and totally get that you can often visit with friends or family while they are at your place of business, but it is still a business. There should still be some degree of professionalism. I have been a fan of this winery since shortly after it opened, visiting multiple times a year and bringing all my friends & family when they are in town, so it is sad to see the decline.
Coffin Ridge Winery is beyond your expectations as it sits upon a high peak overlooking the blue waters of Georgian Bay and acres of hills and valleys in the shadow of the Niagara Escarpment. Less than a one drive from Collingwood, sits is one of Grey County’s first wineries, where you can retreat to the deck for a glass of wine and enjoy a superb charcuterie made up of local artisanal breads and cheeses which have been specifically created to match your wine choice. A heavenly peaceful place to enjoy with friends, guests or family.
