Big sandy beach, gently sloping sandy bottom, watch out for rip current and topless ladies on north end near rocks. Lots of surf instructors pick this beach because it is generally free of hazards. Beach is clean, parking attendant kept our car safe for USD$2. We went back here a couple times.
Nice beach for learning surfing and also just to chill
Playa Hermosa is a surfer's dream come true! The waves here are consistently excellent, offering a challenging yet rewarding experience for all levels. The beach's vast expanse provides plenty of space to catch waves without feeling crowded. Beyond the surf, the beach's natural beauty and serene atmosphere make it an ideal spot for relaxation after a thrilling day in the water. The sunset is breathtaking! A word of advice: don't put your gear too close to the water, as the water tends to rise on the beach in the afternoon. Whether you're here to improve your surfing skills or just to enjoy the waves, Playa Hermosa won't disappoint!
Gorgeous beach, great for surfing or surf lessons. Unfortunately me and my friends swam here a year ago and almost downed to death in a Riptide. Scariest worst moment of my life please be careful!!!!
Beautiful big white sand beach. Saw some surfers, swimmers, and boogie boarders having a good time.
A very beautiful sandy beach with many small improvised huts along the shore for shade. However, be cautious as some of them get flooded during high tide. Great for both beginner and advanced surfers, with free parking available at the beach. There's a surf shop at the crossroads about 5 minutes away from the beach. We even saw a turtle laying eggs. Ideal for watching sunsets.
Most beautiful beach in Santa Teresa, with amazing surf conditions for all types of levels. Be there at sunset if you want to see magic, and don't forget to pick up some micro-plastic if you see it !
Such an amazing beach. Definitely worth making it out here and going away from the busy beaches in town. There is a great cafe and surf shop by the entrance too. Not super busy and even a good lil parking area. My favorite beach in the area.

Beautiful location, amazing parties, delicious food, friendly staff. Great vibe and amazing place. Taboo - the place to be! <3
This club is loud and fun if you seek crazy and wild crowds; or you have lots of cash to burn and like to show off your power. The music is great and energetic. The service is up the top. They have beautiful dancers ( all female) every corner to entertain you. The waiters are on their feet to serve any of your request. The food and drink is out quick right after you ordered. But all this is for a price. I spent $2500 pesos to get in the beach just entitle for a table or a lounge bed twin size on the beach; and I couldn’t get the bed because there wasn’t any available so I had to settle for a table, which I wasn’t happy because it beats the purpose of to come to the beach to lounge. Half of the entry money will go to your food and drink bill which is not much if you’re a drinker. I went with a friend so we have $2500 total toward our food bc we are not drinkers. The pictures below are what we ordered with $2500 pesos not including tip. If you decide to go, I recommend to book early time to guaranty a bed lounge. My reserve time was 1:30.
Went there for some drinks and bites while watching the sunset ans surfers on the beach. Definitely a good spot to watch these. We took the offer on 2 cocktails for 6000 colones which is pretty cheap around there, however the cocktails were not good at all. If you go there just go for beers, and small bites like the yuca sticks.
VERY EXPENSIVE. The food is great and the service is kool. Bring extra money bc babyyyyy NOTHINGS free. Not even the water ($5 ) now the food was AWESOME. Came here for my husband's birthday they wanted $85 per person just to sit on the beach or even a table on the sand. Free to sit in the bar area. It was an amazing experience will do it again bc the food was great but I have to bring my wallet and my husband's wallet lol
This is your typical touristic beach front restaurant with mediocre food in a prime location. They offer appetizers and specialty cocktails - the quesadilla was pretty underwhelming, bland, but it also wasn’t awful. The service was a little slow but it as also quite busy, but the food at our table didn’t all come out at once so people were getting their dishes while others were finishing theirs.
It's closed, but their website says they are up and running.
