Impressive archaeological site featuring the ruins of a pre-Columbian Mayan city from ancient times.

Fantastic! The largest group of restored buildings at Yaxha. A complex of three huge pyramids and residential buildings. You can climb all of them, and I recommend that you scale at least one. the views are great. A truly magical place!
The North Acropolis is perhaps the most impressive part of Yaxha. Due to its elevated position, this well-restored part of the city has that little bit more character than, for example, the Grupo Mahler.
Definitely worth the trip is you're visiting Tikal or Flores! Better than Uaxactun in my viewpoint!
Must go! Pre Classic 200 BC Mayan ruins. Amazing views and astonish temples, easy and relaxing trails compared to Tikal. Great historic site!
Had the site to ourselves. Compact site so you can see most of it in 3 hours.
An amazing place!
Beautiful place to admire the lonely pyramids of the north acropolis in Yaxha ... amazing spot

The Mayan Sport Complex is a nice place to walk in the mornings. The problem are: pigs around and dirty water from the people living around, it smells very bad. The Municipality of Flores has to do something about like Drenages or something.

What a nice excursion! At one of the exit trails in Tayasal I found a friendly dog who followed me all the way to the Viewpoint and Chechenal Beach and back. The views are not spectacular but I enjoyed the wall through the rainforest. There is a guy who asks signing in a book before taking the stairs to the mirador, but in my case he didn't ask for money.
The best view-to-effort ratio you can get, haha. Absolutely a must when visiting Flores! It only takes about 20 minutes of walking to get all the way up, and the view from the top is totally worth it. You get snove trees and can see the whole island and the surrounding lake. Great place for sunset.
The best to look out in all of Flores! This amazing viewpoint is located in a remote and serene part of San Miguel, and it only takes a short 15 minute walk from the lake shore to get here. This is a wonderful spot to watch the sunrise or sunset, or just to get an amazing view of Flores Island. Make sure to bring your camera to take lots of photos, and if you are lucky, you will get to hear the sounds of the incredible howler monkeys. This Mirador is a must visit if you are coming to Flores. There are several steps, but get in here should be easy for people of all ages.
Great views! Take the boat from Flores to San Miguel (Q10 per person). Then walk about 15 minutes to reach the Mirador (there are some signs but not many, so follow the trail which at times can be uphill or muddy). Then you sign in at the Mirador, it's free, quite a few wooden steps to the top but the view is great!
This was a cute short excursion from Flores! Take a lancha to San Marcos for Q10 each way, takes maybe 5 minutes. Then walk up for about 20 minutes, boat driver and locals helped me with directions. Super simple to get to! The mirador is some steps, takes a few minutes to climb. And then at the top there's a colorful platform painted with Guatemalan jungle animals and temples. You leave your shoes at the bottom, so wear socks to protect your feet if you want. Loved the views! Got to see many birds, boats, and an airplane landing. Took me maybe 2 hours total from Flores and back.
10Q each to take a public lancha to San Miguel from Isla de Flores. Then a short hike here. The mirador is actually the site of a temple and there are excavations and investigations taking place nearby.
Beautiful viewing platform. Little bit of a walk from San Miguel. Head to the edge of the town and the path carries on a dirt road out of the town.
This lookout named after one of the Mayan Kings has definitely a great landscape. You can get there in boat from Flores and the price is very cheap, especially if you book a tour to all the different places the lake has. It was built in a Mayan pyramid that wasn't restored after it was discovered. It is a great experience to see such a beautiful landscape from a Mayan ruin that has so many stories.

I love this place. They have most anything you need.
Very nice center, there is any type of food you can think about, we ate Macdonald, there is also shopping mall, we didn’t came in 🙋🏽‍♂️
Beautiful shopping mall across the airport within walking distance. I spent a few hours there waiting for my flight . Plenty of restaurants, bakery, ice cream places, coffee shops to choose from
Nice design, fast food restaurants and la torre supermarket which has everything you need
Shopping is great 👍 here as well . You can find from house hold items, male and female stuffs grocery and many other items.
Beautiful new plaza with places to shop and a place for kids to play outside.
It's great that this mall is next to Mundo Maya Airport, the mall has some of the most popular fast food restaurants, it has banks, ATMs, Grocery store and some other services available which is great if you are just arriving in Flores after taking a flight and you need some stuff before any trip to any place Peten has to offer.
This is a mall across from the airport in Flores (not on the island). There's a Maxi Dispensa (Walmart), a Dollar Store, a hardware store, a large second hand store (can't remember the name but it's like Goodwill in the US), a McDonald's, a Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, shoe stores, and lots of other places. Plenty of tuk-tuks available for transportation.
