We did two coffee tours in Guatemala on our honeymoon and this one absolutely took the cake! Azotea's grounds are beautiful and it was so fascinating to see how their coffee is grown and made into the coffee we tasted! Their gift shop is great for souvenirs and to bring home delicious coffee and chocolate. I highly recommend the short trip out of Antigua to check out Azotea!
We did an ATV guided tour from Antigua and it was an amazing experience! The guides were fun and informative. Finca La Azotea is beautiful, and as a coffee lover, the tour of the plantation was so captivating and unique. Our guide was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, would definitely recommend checking it out! They have a a variety of other things to do there as well. A few different spots to get food, a gift shop, and a chocolate shop where you can also learn about how real chocolate is made and try a few samples! :)
The best tour we could have booked. We were super lucky, when we arrived we got a tour from the owner Riccardo. He explained us everything and showed us the entire farm. Also looking online it was the best price it’s honest and affordable. The owner has the farm since 1997 and created a little sanctuary. So many different things to do and all the staff is like family they work there for years and he takes great care of them. Thank you for taking the time to show us around. It was an unforgettable experience 🥰
Very unique! This property has it all and is great for a family with people of all ages. There are horses, bike tours, ATM tours, coffee plantation tours, playgrounds, schools, weaving classes, chocolate making classes and so much more. We did the chocolate making class (2 hours) with Edwin “Yonka”. He was fantastic, very passionate, kind, funny, excited about his job! We went to the Biergarten for a drink before taking the 1 hour coffee tour! Would recommended visiting this location. It’s beautiful and very well taken care of, as well as massive!
Very peaceful. There's something for everyone, kids, teenagers, young adults and not so young ones. Attractive, entertaining, educational with museums, high quality restaurant, activities for the entire family. You may spend 1/2 day without getting bored.
We booked the coffee tour and it was one of our favourite activities in Guatemala. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, he spoke English very well, and we learnt a lot. We also picked up some delicious coffee liqueur, recommended!
Miguel was an amazing guide and we had a great conversation in both English and Spanish (we’re learning) while he showed us around the farm. I’d absolutely recommend spending an afternoon on the farm.
Sweet place, worth a visit. You don’t have to make the tour. Just buy the ticket for the museum for 20GQtz and you’ll be able to see everything. Definitely check out the surroundings there are beautiful gardens

Fun experience! I went solo and made fast friends. Learned so much and had a delicious meal at the end. Great instruction and service from the staff - thank you Cindy, Liam, and Bea!!! Tip - bring exact change if paying in US $
What a cool experience!! We booked the 10:30am class and it was just us, Pamela (translator), and Beatrice. The food was incredible, best food we had in Guatemala. The company was just as good. Pamela and Beatrice were more than nice and felt like friends by the end of our class. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience!!
Enjoyable few hours here making traditional Guatemalan cuisine. We were in a group of 5 who were great company - between your team, you do get to make a variety of dishes, but you will all be doing different tasks which contribute to the entire meal, rather than making one entire dish yourself. You get unlimited wine and the chance to sample some authentic local meals - a fun way to spend an evening!
It was quite an incredible cooking experience to learn how to make traditional Guatemalan food. My chef was an expert and made it very fun. My translator, Isla, did an amazing job as well and had a great time chatting with her while cooking. I went on a Tuesday and was lucky enough to have my own private 1:1 class which was so amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and I learned so much about Guatemalan culture and cuisine. They offered to play music while we prepared the meal, so I chose to listen to typical Guatemalan music, which was quite pleasant. I highly recommend!
Wow, I had such an amazing experience last night. The staff could not have been more impressive. The recipes were fairly straightforward and the ingredients fresh. I had a meal that was better than any restaurant thus far in Guatemala. I have taken many cooking classes around the world and this one was tops. Thank you La Tortilla.
I absolutely loved this cooking class! It’s so interesting and so fun. The instructions are explained really clearly in Spanish and English. The food and wine were delicious and we were even allowed to take some leftovers home! Thank you for a great experience.
This was such a great experience. We made 5 traditional Guatemalan dishes plus a drink. The chef and volunteers were so helpful and kind. I highly recommend if you’re looking for something to do in Antigua!
The experience alone is worth the stop for this class. Beautiful location, friendly staff, great instruction on the food preparation and cooking. Loved learning the culture.
