Just the place to have a feel on how mighty nature is. Be prepared because there’s no chance you won’t come out dry, despite wearing a rain poncho or not. The views are incredible, although in winter the water flow is bigger so there’s less sight of some of the falls because of the mist.
What else can be said of this mesmerizing place. For reasons VFA is considered one of the 7 natural world wonders. Being there can not be described in words so you should just book the trip and visit!
Victoria Falls had less water due to summer season which made viewing better. We had less must. The helicopter ride over the falls provides excellent views.
Incredible, of course! I highly recommend getting to the falls before sunrise. It's early, but the crowds aren't there yet and the falls are amazing at sunrise. About an hour or hour and a half after sunrise head towards the farther falls to see the rainbows over the falls. Each view spot is numbered. For sunrise, views 6-8 are good. For the rainbows 9 and higher are good. Also keep your eyes open for the many different birds and animals including bush buck deer, monkeys, and warthogs. Around 10am the crowds start getting heavy. If you go in the end of the dry season (August-September) the falls are easy to see but not as full. If you go earlier the falls are full but will be hard to see because of the mist created by the falls. Even around September 1st we had places where it was misty enough to obscure the falls and it felt like it was raining on us. Which was welcome relief from the heat! That leads to one other interesting point about the falls. Unlike the surrounding dry landscape, right next to the falls is green and lush. Almost rainforest like. It's an incredible experience. Don't miss the "smoke that thunders" as the local language calls the falls. It cost us $50 per person to enter the park. You do not need a guide for this, just get a taxi ride to the falls, pay the entry fee and enjoy. There is a nice outdoor cafe inside the park entrance. If you're up for a little walk (or you can take a taxi) I recommend walking to the "Lookout Cafe - Wild Horizons" for lunch. You'll pass a number of vendors, perhaps some more warthogs, and a dusty road. I'd estimate it's about 1/3 of a mile walk, maybe 1/2 mile. But it's a nice way to top off a morning at the falls. Enjoy!
The falls are over 1.7 kilometers (5,604 ft) wide and 108 meters (355 ft) high, making them the largest water falls in the world. It is extremely picturesque and popular with tourists and locals. Best to go there early in the morning after 6am to avoid the heat of the day. You can also go in late afternoon. Entry fees are payable, waiting to enter can take 30 minutes even with advance booking. Best go with a guide. The route involves visiting 16 stations offering views from different angles and also the statue of Livingstone. The route is mostly level though there are stairs. Water sprays carried by winds can affect photography and make pathways damp. Walk carefully. There's additional activities such as bungee jumping and abseiling here.
It's one of the natural wonders of the world for a reason. Stunning and magnificent. I highly recommend the Zimbabwe side, since it has the better vantage points overall. The Zambia side gives you a complimentary view, so seeing both is not a bad thing, but do Zimbabwe if you have to choose one. I can also recommend going to Livingstone Island on the Zambia side as well, for an experience at the top of the falls that you will never forget.
Fabulous place to visit, with many vantage points and great photo opportunities. The park entrance fees were a tuck up but that's Africa ... Beautiful and money hungry.
God's majestic wonder. I don't understand why its no longer on the 7 wonders of the world list. Beautiful unexplainable wonder. Its breathtaking. The flora and fauna is like no other. Warthogs (Pumba) hang around like they own the place. The double rainbows 🌈, the roar of the water, the rain, the amazing views at every turn. There are about 20 view points, all amazing.

What a beautiful place! Not very busy and lots of personal space to enjoy the fall. It was low season so the falls were not as active as other times of the year but it was great.
Great experience. Don't bother doing an organized day tour. Get a cab to the park, pay your park fees ($50 each) and either walk yourself or hire a guide for $25
What’s not to love about Victoria Falls? Great walk to all the posts. Take lots of pictures!!! Enjoy!
We were at the falls in one of the drier months. It was still breathtakingly beautiful. You move from tropics, to forest to arid rock, rainforest to scorching sun. What an experience. Victoria Falls is a very beautiful town.

Very detailed museum. There's so much to take in so give yourself some time. If you don't know alot then you will learn alot. The fee for Zambians was just K6. The person at the entrance was very friendly and told us the direction we should take. The museum artifacts ranged from primal time to modern time. Gave a vast history of what Zambians used and showed the development overtime. It also replicated Zambia's flora and fauna, likewise the animals that can be found. The live replicas of animals made it very interesting and relatable. Then it moved on to history and culture, from Zambia's independence an entire area for David Livingstone. It's the perfect place for a school trip or if you want to educate your kids in Zambian history for a low cost. Bathrooms were also available and clean. They are shops selling local art if you want to buy. Would recommend to check it out!
Livingstone Museum is really the history museum of Zambia. The display started from when the earth continents were Pangaea to the most recent history. It is quite detailed. A must visit in Livingston.
Interesting museum! Entrance cost us $5 per person. Phots and videos are not allowed to be taken inside. Has interesting natural history section about the origins of various animals and a zoological section. More interesting though is the areas about local history and traditions, as well as about Zambia's recent colonial occupation back when it was known as Northern Rhodesia. I found it very insightful learning about the Zambian perspective of this as someone who comes from Europe. Finally, there is a section about David Livingstone that is interesting if you don't know much about him already.
This is a very extensively fitted museum. Covers a wide range of topics with an impressive number of artifacts. I was impressed by the size and exhibits. No photos allowed inside, which is understandable considering the delicate nature of some of the artifacts. Well run and very well maintained.
To be honest - the guided tour was passionate and interesting, however if I am being very honest. It was a little bit boring and for today’s standards really nothing special. Rather enjoy the nature than the museum
The place has the best history of Zambia than the things we where taught in schools. I would recommend the employment of tour guides because they will give our visitors from other countries a better understanding of our culture and rich history. I had the best time learning about our country and it's thriving present never the less I would have enjoyed it the more if I was being guided through to get a clear picture of everything because I had so many questions left unanswered. This is according to my experience thank you.
The museum was very nice and detailed, each room was unique and made you feel like you were stepping into history.
Have eggs become lighter over time? The existential question our our times, finally answered. Aside from this, the museum gives a good overview of Zambia under colonial rule and subsequent independence, albeit only up until 2001.

Nostalgia filled activity, train takes you back in time and the train staff that explain the story about the railway being built, and everything that goes along with it. 5 course meal included, fine dining.
Really enjoyed our evening even though the weather conspired against us with plenty of rain. Food was good and the service exceptional.
A beautiful sunset rail ride with cocktails and a wonderful dinner. The train is meticulously restored and the history of the railway told by a great guide. This is a truly unique dining experience.
Experience here is amazing. Best staff, best dinner, and best atmosphere I have ever had in Africa. You should try if you like to experience high quality activities.
We had the most amazing time on the Royal Livingstone Express. We went in with high hopes given my teenage daughter has always wanted to experience an “old school” steam engine train and “classic dining car”. The Livingstone Express did not disappoint! The train is very well maintained, so doesn’t feel old or stuffy. The staff was super professional, the host was an incredible speaker and storyteller, educating and entertaining us with the history of the train and railroad connecting much of southern and eastern Africa. The train also stops on the famous bridge overlooking the waterfall so you can disembark and take pictures of the sunset over the falls. And lastly, the quality of the food was exceptional. Often times these more “touristy” experiences don’t have the best food. We were super impressed by how polished and delicious the food was, starting with the appetizers to the 3-course sit down dinner. Not at all gimmicky or mass-produced, but instead elevated and authentic. Note, we have high standards for fine dining as we’re from San Francisco and NYC. Would highly recommend the Royal Livingstone Express to anyone visiting Victoria Falls!
Nice Experience touring the Livingstone express. Lovely antique wooden furniture and elegant seating. I really loved it
Great little train gorgeous dinner.

Place is quite and so good... Guide is so friendly they have a massive crocodile... Called Godzilla. They can feed the crocodile with you pay, which is good, in future which leads to sponsors for crocodile feeding and care. Need more varities of crocodiles, need more animal care takers. Please find the price list from the pics.
Small park, will take you max an hour if going slowly. I enjoyed it but it was a bit concerning that a fair amount of the reptiles had no heat source in their enclosures - snakes and baby crocs. Larger crocs seem well fed and happy, nice enclosures and they have friendly staff. No place to eat here, just a few snacks.
I generally dislike zoos or places with captive animals. However, Livingstone Crocodile Park also serves to protect the public (and the animal) by removing "man-killers" from the community. This one good step toward human/animal conflict. The guides are very knowledgeable of the area and of each individual croc. Great learning experience. Today's price: K100 for locals, $10 for foreigners.
We had a wonderful time with our tour guide Mbakala. He was knowledgeable and quite fearless, getting into the crocodile pen with one of the maneaters and showing us how they attack. The kids were terrified and entranced. Some sites list them as not being open on Wednesdays but now they are open every day.
Very cool place to visit that only takes about an hour. I recommend buying 2-3 chunks of meat for the keeper to feed the Crocs.
Ideal for family outings and educational tours.
The Reptiles in the park were kept really in a bad condition hence I am rating this 3 stars. They treated the chameleon very brutally and also the turtles were in bad condition. The crocodile was injured and the guide was playing around troubling the Black Mamba. I really regret visiting this place looking at the bad condition the reptiles were kept
I loved how natural the aesthetics and feel of the park were. We got quite a real experience there as we got quite close to the crocodiles in their habitat. The guide was great too, very informed, friendly, and gave us an awesome tour. It was also quite affordable to visit, with not much of a difference between local, resident and tourist fees.

I booked this trip but I think my husband enjoyed it more! If you're engineer or into mechanical vehicles and how they work, you'll certainly enjoy this museum. If you also love railways history, you will enjoy. The tour guide? 10/10. Exceptional. Very knowledgeable and kept your interest. There is no extra fee for the tour guide but you can feel free to tip him. Entry fee is only K8 for locals. You first get the history of how the railway started, what material they used, where it came from and who were the people involved. Then you get to go visit the train models who've the your guide explains. It's very cool to see trains that were used previously in Zambia. You would entire a train cabin, the EXACT one used in the 1900s along with the train platform. That was pretty amazing to do and I was amazed how in fact everything was. The Jewish Museum is also linked to Zambia's railways as the providerd of the materials were Jewish. It was interesting to read about the Jewish history and the part that each person played in the development of the railway. Would definitely recommend as something new to try out.
We were at the Railway Museum less than 45 min before it closing time of 4:30. After paying for our tickets the gentleman from the museum told us he could keep the museum open until around 5:00 pm. He would be our tour guide and he was sure we would see everything by then. He explained in very detailed the history of the museum, took us to see some of the locomotives that were on display. They were not in very good shape. All the locomotives used to be used by a sawmill to transport lumbers. The varieties were quite limited.
Rusted and broken playground equipment for kids. Dangerously rusted out train cars. Train cars with swarms of bed living inside. Toilets with no running water or seats or soap. Little to no information about the trains. Several of the trains had human excrement in them. Was very pricey for what it was (non-resident). The Jewish museum was nice.
The train museum is in a state of complete dilapidation. The majestic old trains are rusting away, most with no signage and certainly no TLC. The entrance is an amazing $15; I am sure the museum hasn't had investment equivalent to one ticket in the last ten years. Several of the engines are mundane late steam built in the 1950s,in three or four are old and / or interesting. I suppose it is kind of a graveyard not just of trains but of colonialism. However that isn't intentional, it's just complete disinterest in the history of the railway in Zambia. The Jewish museum (which is in the same site and included in the ticket; deal... is interesting and quite well maintained. I'll review that separately...
The museum boasts a fascinating history, but many trains are in poor condition and require restoration. A modern update to the museum is definitely needed.
Had never been on a train and seeing the inside of the first class coach and also the other locomotives/engines was really a great experience. I liked the swings in the play pack too. The place can be made more beautiful by greening the environment. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and our tour was awesome.
I loved it here! I was taken aback by how cheap it was to enter but it was great. I entered some of the carriages and for a while felt like I had returned to the past. A little more maintainance could do some good but it's still okay the way it is. One idea though would be if the museum was open to holding curated events on their premises. Those steam engines would make an excellent backdrop for a cat walk or something.
The Railway Museum is only one museum in Zambia. which has oldest railway engine & compartment, engine from 1892 to 1957 and the most existing things the steam crane. From the museum you can see the old railway lines maps of northern & southern Rhodesia. The Guide in that museum is very friendly & explained everything, a lot about Jewish history in Zambia. Please find the entrance fees from the picture.

They offer complementary drop off and picks from lodges within Livingstone. The operators and attendants are very friendly and know alot about Livingstone too
Great activities for very good prices. I paid usd 205 for a twelve minute helicopter flight over the falls and for gorge swing (twice), zipline (twice) plus abseiling.
These guys offers great activities. At least they can respond in time

Definitely a must for adventure seekers! The staff were helpful, knowledgeable and ensured the safety of my harness. The views here are amongst the best in Livingstone. There is an extra K250 charge for a video which was sent to me immediately.. worth the money. Next time id love to try the flying fox.
The experience was scary but worth it, the hike back up was pretty taxing but overall a worthwhile experience. The staff weren't the best, god forbid you're afraid, they'll be quite short with you, I do hope they get some training in customer care.
Scary but fun. Amazing experience
We did the tandem swing which was awesome but paid for the video which we didn’t receive 😡
This was definitely a thrilling experience. Words still fail me on how to explain the free fall but once on it, it's downhill all the way! Will definitely do this again. Mulele was the one! Made sure our booking was done, time followed, picked up and sent us straight o he airport after. Do ask for him for a great service.
For the adrenaline seekers this is your spot, they provide free transportation to and from the place. For the gorge swing I was a bit disappointed because I wasn’t asked permission for recording and later being told I have to pay for it. But otherwise friendly staff and safety is considered

I love this place! It's got such rich history and an amazing story. The original trains are still available for viewing. It's quiet, neat and clean. We asked for a conducted tour and the guide really enlightened us with insights I hadn't known before. If you ever get a chance to be in Livingstone stop by the Railway Museum and the Gateway Jewish Museum. I didn't know about how much the Jewish community contributed to modern day Zambia. I will definitely be going back to take it all in again. 5 stars! And more.
It was such an insightful experience. The staff are very welcoming and the tour guide is willing to have everything explained to you for a better understanding. It’s a go to site for my people who love sites that offer rich knowledge and also for my Jewish friends. Things like the first Jewish scroll are kept in this very museum. Not forgetting that it also the museum for the trains used by our forefathers. Very insightful experience indeed.
Amazing spot in the heart of Africa. Interesting history of former Northern Rhodesia. Livingstone once a boomtown with railway connections benefitting from the copper-belt. It attracted especially Jewish migrants from Eastern Europe - looking for a different life (pogromes started there in about 1900). During terrible German fascist times a couple of Jewish people managed to escape to here. While South Africa and Southern Rhodesia refused to issue Visa for Jews after 1939 it was still possible here. After independence many left the country …
A beautiful and peaceful museum located within the Railway museum in Livingstone. A pool of Jewish history in Zambia. Until the visit, I didn’t know the great Simon Zukas was a Jew. Wonderful experience!
It is a small museum found within the Railway Museum. It was interesting to hear about Jewish history in Zambia from the guide.
Learned a lot about the history of the Jewish people in Zambia.
I really loved this museum. It needs to be spoken of more and should really be advertised to the public. I'd encourage everyone to visit it

A great cruise to check out the Zambezi River in comfort. You can expect to spot some hippos, Elephants and pretty birds.
Very pleasant cruise over the Zambesi with amazing sunset !
The Zambezi Explorer was operated alternately by Captains Yolanda & B, who also served as spotters for wild life such as crocs, hippos, zebras, elephants, etc. We were allowed to sail on Zambian territory as long as the boat didn’t stop. It’s the biggest vessel on the Zambezi River that were entertaining visitors with a relaxing, serene sunset cruise. Their eclectic group or couple seatings are comfortable. Their wash rooms were clean and presentable. We opted for vodka tonic then a juice drink. I believe other guests had as many drinks as they requested. Their hors d’oeuvres - potato chips, chicken satay with rolls, sliders with mini quiches - were filling. Their spoke-person, Ms. Luba, asked everyone if we had food allergy. The staff entertained us with two traditional songs.
Quite expensive for a river cruise, canapes average, nice selection of drinks, ambiance is good and obviously the zambizi sunset is awesome.. The reason for going.
We had a very nice cruise withva wonderful dinner
What an amazing experience. The boat was beautiful and the crew was knowledgeable helpful friendly and just brilliant. thanks for a wonderful afternoon/evening.

An amazing state of the art glass fronted gallery in the bush. The only Gallery built and maintained by the Government of Zambia. Changing exhibitions every 3 months. National and international artists exhibit here . Currently there is a Children's Art Exhibition and an instillation featuring international Artists in the main gallery. Free entrance. An excellent place to visit. Highly recommended for all.
Art gallery right in the Park. Few meters of the Mosi-O-Tunya Road. A stop you cannot afford to miss. Great pieces and a myriad of local artists and sculptures have their pieces on display. Great service from the staff too. Simply a beautiful unexpected beauty amidst all the wonders in Livingstone.
A very quiet, well lit and spacious gallery with various artworks. Being an artist myself, I must say I was elated to pay a visit.
Worth a quick visit after a game drive in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, for viewing paintings and sculptures by Zambian artists.
One of the most amazing places in Livingstone to enjoy the best of Zambia
The building not so visible but the gallery was really nice with good paintings. We were guided perfectly by one of the staff members. He was explaining a lot and with very good information. There were some artworks outside as well. There was an exhibition about understanding cultures, which motivates you to look beyond what is on the surface. We really enjoyed it and recommend everyone to go there.
The best of the best art galleries. Visit and see for yourself.
Beautiful gallery, showcasing a variety of contemporary Zambian art. The artworks are for sale and are all original pieces. Great place to buy authentic Zambian art.

What a fun experience! Absolutely loved my sirloin steak, cooked to perfection. Our waiter was energetic and very efficient. The only thing I didn’t quite enjoy was our seating spot, would have much rather preferred a better view of the gorge. I suggest booking way in advance if you want to enjoy the full experience. I also recommend the crocodile kebab, so tender and flavorful. The French fries were so good, a unique crunchiness and flavor to them. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Vic Falls
This open-air cafe is all about drama - natural drama. The panoramic views stretch across the gorgeous, where you can watch daredevils either bungee jump or zip line while sipping on your tea/coffee or even cocktail. The decor is understated, letting the landscape do all the talking. Its the kind of place you'll want to linger long after dessert just to soak in the view. The breakfast was delicious. Expect heart options like but not limited to- traditional English breakfast, vegetarian friendly plates and for a lighter fare - fruit platers yogurt and granola. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and clearly proud of the cafés unique location. Service is prompt but relaxed matching the laid back vibe of the place. Its an entire experience with jaw dropping views, flavorful food and a front row seat to the wild pulse of the Zambezi, its a must visit for anyone in Victoria falls. Come hungry, bring your camera and prepare to be wowed.
Stunningly located facing the gorge at Victoria Falls, this restaurant is very popular amongst visitors to the Falls. We sat at a table that gave us a good view of those indulging in zip lining and other adventurous activities at the Falls. The restaurant had an interesting menu and I opted for the crocodile kebab which came with rice, Thai curry, vegetables and chips and it was very tender and flavorful. Others in our group who ordered the vegan burger and the chicken wrap too were pleased with their meal. The dishes were also reasonably priced despite the touristy location.
Beautiful viewpoint, very nice place and very nice staff. The prices are similar to restaurants that are not situated on such a lovely spot with such a view. So all and all I absolutely recommend this place. I had the Cesar salad and my wife had the Calamares salad, both lovely. I also did the activity Gorge swing over there, that was really exciting!
It took us about 10 minutes to walk from the falls entrance via a dirt road. We arrived at 11:30 am without a reservation and snagged a seat on the lower terrace under an umbrella for shade – though the heat still radiated up. I tried the curry crocodile skewer, which tasted surprisingly like chicken. The view is gorgeous, with a bird's-eye view of the zip line below.
I have not visited a cafe before in my life with such breath-taking view. If you find the right seat, the views are one of a kind. We ordered ginger cocktails and an ice-cream and everything was delicious. Service was efficient and courteous. It is walking distance from the town centre and very near to the falls entrance. A must visit while you are in Vic falls town.
Lunch on the lower deck was a wonderful experience with a stunning view of the gorge. The food was fresh and tender, but honestly, it’s the setting that makes it special — the gorge, the beauty of Victoria Falls, and the thrill of watching the zip-lining and free-falling. I really enjoyed it here.
The location itself was really nice with a lovely ambience and the views are fantastic! However the service was poor (especially compared to all the other amazing places we’ve experienced in Zimbabwe!). We were seated on the downstairs part of the cafe and had to wait almost 15 minutes just to get someone’s attention to order. They were also not very friendly and weren’t helpful when the items we wanted weren’t available - instead of suggesting other things they stood there impatiently as though we were a nuisance. We ended up just ordering some drinks which took nearly 10 minutes to arrive and we ended up having to get them takeaway as we didn’t have much time to enjoy in the cafe and the service took so long that we only had a few minutes to actually enjoy our drinks. Would only go here if you have ample time and don’t mind being slightly ignored by staff!
