The place to visit for a lovely sunrise, make sure you arrive at least 30 minutes before the sunrise to climb up the hill or even to get the best spot on the beach!
Absolute must see. Very exciting. Beautiful and astonishing views. But beware, there are NO toilets in the area.
This outing was very enjoyable! Make sure to wear good shoes and hike up the hill to the cross at the summit. The climb is worth it as you’ll be rewarded with a magnificent view. There isn't a designated parking area, so you'll need to park along the side of the road, but it doesn't seem to be an issue. Despite the lack of parking, the experience is well worth it, and I highly recommend making the trip.
Beautiful place. The sand is soft and the sea is rough. Watch your step into the ocean, the sand drops and the current will carry you away. The view is amazing. Love the rocks and the atmosphere!
One of the spots to visit in Guadeloupe with usually a good view of the Désirade island. An easy hike up to the cross.
Amazing views. Photos don’t do this place any justice. I’m so glad we rented a car. I can’t imagine trying to take a bus here. The waves are very strong here so I wouldn’t suggest swimming.
We didn’t rent a car. Took a bus from the small airport. Asked the diver what time the next bus will come. We really enjoyed the view. It was spectacular Waiting for 1 H for the bus. Never showed up. We walked 3H back to st.Francois marina. In the heat. Almost passed out. Overall: lesson learnt
Beautiful, great for sunset!

Saint Anne Beach is undoubtedly the most popular in Guadeloupe. With its deep turquoise blue and calm water, it is the perfect place to relax after an island tour. Nearby you‘ll find the local market, traditional restaurants with caribbean meals and different bars. All you need.
A very busy beach and parking is very difficult to find so I can advise you to look around town for free parking and walk a little to the beach. The sand is very white and the water clear however you do need to walk a bit further into the water before you can swim. On the beach you can get the artisan made coco ice cream , that is really worth it! Bring some cash. If you want to sit down for a coffee or some ice cream you can also visit Gelato & Cappuccino Maitre Glacier Italien which is a great place.
Presumably the best beach on the island. You can get the Bus Orange S01 from Pointe-a-Pitre for EUR 3,- one way to St. Anne. Leaves about every 20 minutes. On your way back walk to the church/townhall and look for the orange pole. Busses tend to get crowded in St. Anne, so people get left standing in the bus stops towards Pointe-a-Pitre. It is a paradise for families, yet can get packed, of course. Beautiful beach, still water and palm trees. Also some iguanas-in-residence. Enough natural shade and fine white sand, so no need for renting sunbeds ATM and supermarket near bus stop, if you care for the occassional coconut drink, buy it at the market stalls at the bus stop.
Love it Restaurant right there Respectful crowd, mix Young and old Family and single Transat rental for great price
Beautiful beach, clear sea and white sands. Some shade is available under the trees and there's lots of market stalls and restaurants and bars on the beach front to stop at.
Popular beach with beautiful sea. A little shelter under trees. Restaurants and shops nearby.
Don’t waist your time and go there. We went on a Saturday in march and the beach is fuller than Côte d’Azur in August. TOTALLY overcrowded. The beach is nice, but if it is so full that you can’t put your towel somewhere….! We left after 10 minutes.
There's a long stretch of sand here with places for everyone. Towards the restaurants there's less shade, but there are sunbeds. In the area with more shade, the water is also deeper, there are ropes to protect against sargassum, but the beach is narrower. Lots of food trucks if you want to try the local food. In the weekend it does get quite busy. All in all, it's a must visit in this part of Grande Terre

We visited this place three times and every time we were greeted warmly by the staff, the good vibes were followed by cold drinks and delicious food. Let’s start with best creole grilled fish we ever had, just the right spice and seasoning. We loved their cucumber salad, a unique treat for a beachside eatery. Their fish brochettes (skewers) and rice with beans were also incredible. We ordered rosé and it was perfect and affordable. Finally, they also serve great ice cream.
Beware location is wrong
(Translated by Google) This is the first beach we have been to, and so not disappointed, certainly it is not perfect and very smooth, but what a pleasure to spend the day there. Few people, easy to park, a slightly wild spot where you can admire colorful fish. We found a little place to eat (small green food truck) where everything is homemade, from the burger bread, to the breaded chicken, the fries and even the sauces!
(Translated by Google) The Plage des Raisins Clairs, especially in its western part, a little before the center of Saint-François, has all the qualities to have a good time. (Translated by Google) I didn't like the beach. The busiest part has cars close to the sea. The most suitable part for swimming is the one close to street stalls with comfortable plastic tables and chairs but let's say that in the general aesthetic picture they do not make the place one of the most beautiful to look at. The whole beach that goes towards the pointe du Grand Boeuf is more beautiful but less suitable for swimming due to the seabed with rocks at different heights which make swimming a little difficult. Shoes required. The first part of this beach also has buildings right next to the palm trees and the beach and again they ruin everything a bit. Also pay attention to the numerous residues from previous nights, especially glass.

Nice unattended beach in a lagoon, riff not far away. A lot of trash and leftovers on the side. Pristine waters but not very clean on land. Free access with huge parking space. You can walk along the waterfront, partially inside the water.
Lovely beach which I recommend. There is enough parking there.
Perfect beach for relaxing. Lots of shade. Water was calm and great for floating or just sitting in the water. We got there at 9:30 and the parking lot was almost full.
Excellent beach. Little waves which allows you to wade in the water. Great for families with little kids. Plenty of area that is full shade or full sun depending on what you are looking for. You can bring floats to just hang in the water. There is a full service restaurant at this beach. Great food/ desserts/drinks (full bar). Water is crystal clear with areas of sea grass. White sand and very fine. Perfect spot to spend the day.
Giving 5 stars because it is gorgeous but my kids did not like this beach. The water is very shallow and full of sea grass so it was not easy to swim/snorkel for my tweens/teens but this would be good for little kids who stay close to the shore. Beware the current is very strong further out where it is slightly deeper so they could not swim there. This is the PERFECT lay out/rest beach as there were so many amazing shade trees and private areas to rest. It is wild and beautiful to look at. There was quite a lot of sargassum but it was not too much as we were able to avoid it and it did not smell strong like in some places. The sand area is smaller and right next to the water but that I think adds to the charm. We found many perfect hammock spots. There weren’t too many people. There was one restaurant but it looked closed throughout the afternoon. Not sure if it was or not. No bathrooms that we could see. But this was a nice quiet place after the crazy busyness of Saint Anne beach.
One of our favourite beaches on Guadeloupe. The vegetation grows close to the water, so there are plenty of shaded places. A good long walk along the seashore is possible. The water is a little shallow but you can swim there. Glorious!
Lovely long beach, easy to access and pretty empty as it's so long. Not very wide, but perfect to stop by the road and jump in the water. Also good to spend longer time there - has plenty of trees to hide from the sun.
A great place to relax and have a bbq (or a birthday party). Waves are not big, but it’s not broad as all the sand has been washed away due to Sargassum and Tornadoes.

Aquarium
Nature & Parks
Intimate, local aquarium exhibiting a variety of marine life, including sharks & sea turtles.
Slide 1 of 8
Brilliant aquarium with a focus on local species. Loads of colourful tropical fish and it was amazing to see the turtles. If you’re going snorkelling while in Guadeloupe, this is really worth a visit to reflect on what you’ve seen out in the wild and it has lots of information about each species. Well worth a visit!
Small aquarium with focus on the local marine ecosystem. All written explanations are sadly in French only. The online audio-guide is available through the dedicated WiFi but without geolocation or other markers it’s hard to find the relevant content as one walks from one room to another. The entry price (15 euros) seems high compared to the size of the exhibit.
Very nice place and family friendly. The kids enjoyed coloring and displaying their art on their large screen. Not many animals but just enough to enjoy the experience.
This aquarium is correct but for this price it's so small and you can see small fish most of the time ... When you pay for this kind of price you deserve to have at least 1h our of visit but in 30 mn you have done...it's a shame because there is very interesting animals to see...
A great, enlightening and educational tour. Got immersed in the fauna and flora of the Caribbean Sea. You get to watch live fishes of various species including dolphins, sea horses, turtles, lobsters. Each station has it's narrated audio. Photos and videos can be taken but without flashes. The facility is clean and well maintained. The staff is welcoming, warm and friendly. Make this a must visit place in Guadeloupe.
Good experience to have for an hour or two. Found it a little short. Fish look well taken care of. Lots of corals and sea creatures to see. I really liked the Cassiopeia. At first i thought they might be sleepy jellyfish but it turns out they are supposed to be like that. Worth going if you are in the area.
In size, it's quite small aquarium. But it manages to fit some sharks 🦈 in one place. Good enough to have "something to do" with kids when you're in Guadeloupe. Max spending time would be 1 hour max, so you can visit other places in one day.
Small but really nice aquarium. Felt well thought out to me and there were lots of interesting sea animals to look at. Including two giant sea turtles that really look like out of this world.

Slide 1 of 8
Absolutely fabulous. Informative, well presented; history of the greater Caribbean Islands through the eyes of slaves. Excellent contemporary artwork. Don't miss this museum.
It was a great experience. Interesting and thought- provoking. The exhibits were interesting. For kids from 8-12 it was good. There was one minor issue the auto- guides got confused on which track to play. But a really good museum all in all.
The exhibits were set out nicely and the fact that they had a translator ear piece was kool however after paying 15euro to enter and they didn't have water in the washroom so they were closed was a big problem for me
Fantastic exhibition and the horrors of slavery. The temp exhibition of Antoine Nabajoth paintings was worth the entrance fee alone, loved them?
I am so sorry but Today the museum was closed and in Google maps it was shown open. This is not fair as I came and i was so disappointed to see it closed.
Essential on the island, the memorial act is to be done without fail. Museum that traces the history of the island and slavery. It's very interesting I highly recommend it. Very modern architecture and design for the structure, very big inside and air conditioning more than functional, it refreshes. Full tour minimum required 30 minutes.
memorial / museum about slavery & colonialism. good first stop to learn about the island’s history. no photos allowed inside
A story well told. The outer skin of the building is beautiful by day and astonishing by night as it becomes an eye catching Iight show that goes on all night. A must see if you are visiting Guadalupe.

Unspoiled, tiny isle accessible by boat with wading & snorkeling, a cafe-bar & chickens roaming.
Slide 1 of 8
One spectacular view offered by this wonderful island in the town centre of Gosier can be a good choice to spend a day on the beach or snorkelling at only couple minutes boating from Datcha digue.
Very nice wild beach, crowded in high season but it’s worth it. Bring something to drink and eat because the beach bar it’s expensive . You can arrive by boat (10/15min - 5$/€ with the return).
I think it is quite overrated. Forget the idea of an exclusive paradise island. There are a lot of people and the beach is quite small (you are almost walking onto each other to reach the sea). The first boat (9am) was 45 minutes late and the queue on the pier was obviously really long.
A wonderful island to go spend the day with family and friends
Cute little island off of Gosier. There was a small pontoon boat that took us to and from the island for 5 Euro each. Not much to do on the island other than enjoy the beautiful beach. It can get a little crowded, so I would suggest going early. There is a small cafe that serves food and drink on the island near the dock. I would recommend it as a nice way to spend a few hours on the beach.
Nice beaches. Visited on a saturday. The island has a lighthouse and a few abandoned buildings. No toilets. Restaurant open for lunch. Boats to and from the island every 30 minutes at a price of 5 € there and back.
Overrated. Very very crowded!!! Hard to find a decent square meter on the beach. 3/4 of the island is rocky and impracticable for swimming. Otherwise it’s a spectacular sand and coral pieces into the sea. It worth maybe one hour visit.
Over crowdy.a lot of people even at 10a.m. The place is over rated. Many glass pieces on the island. The beach is very narrow and full of garbage..very dirty.we read all the positive reviews and saw the line-up for ferry.so we decided to go there too. A big disappointment. The colour of water is amazing but nothing else.

Romain is an excellent guide, but the best tour guide in the world was definitely the wonderful white dog. Please give the dog a tip — preferably in the form of some good meat ✌🏻
Simple free visit with few posters to read, this is not a vosit with a guide. Great art on the outside of the factory. Great shop with large choice of merchandise and Rhum to purchase Good quality rhum.
Damoiseau is a rhum agricole distillery located in Le Moule, Guadeloupe. It is one of five distilleries in the Guadeloupe archipelago, and the only one in the Grande-Terre region. It has roots back to the 19th century and was originally founded as an agricultural estate. Damoiseau is the leading rum producer in Guadeloupe, producing more than 8 million litres per year and exported to more than 40 countries worldwide. Damoiseau rhums are produced from sugar cane that is harvested and crushed on the same day before fermenting for 24–36 hours. It is distilled in a continuous column still to between 86% and 88% alcohol, and then aged in charred oak barrels previously used for aging bourbon. After aging for six months or more than six years, the rum is diluted with local spring water to a consistent commercial proof and bottled. In 2011, Damoiseau opened a bottling and storage facility near Pointe-à-Pitre International Airport in Les Abymes, Pointe-à-Pitre that is capable of storing up to 5 million bottles.
Really enjoyed our visit here as arrived just before closing so had the place to ourselves. Staff were lovely, grounds pretty and the rum was delicious 😋
Interesting and nice tasting but lacks a bit of theatre around production and history. Good for a quick visit and to buy some lovely rum!
Unbelievable experience . Discrimination and hateful treatment given to us at this distillery. We were at the tasting area and had 1 tasting of the white rum. The other people near us were French and received the next 2 tastings . The young man found out we were Americans and told us we needed to buy rum if we wanted to taste the dark one. Just a horrible experience. I will spread this on Facebook and everywhere I can.
Simple production facility, not much to see actually. Good shop for buying rhum, good prices.

Great beach, good for kids and family, plenty of restaurants 👍🏻
This is a very nice place for snorkeling. Loads of fish, tube sponges, brain corals and anemone. Walk or drive past the cemetery to the second beach. The first part is sandy followed by two rocky strips. Swim towards the second rocky strip and then follow it to see loads of marine life. Watch out because the sea can be very shallow at the rocky bits so in some points you cannot float over it. You risk hitting the seabed and there's a danger of getting hurt and distroying the coral. We came from St François, 50 min drive in the country side and very doable.
Great beach and I can say my favourite on this island, calm turquoise water and fine golden sand.
Good spot for sunset !

The northern tip of the eastern half of Guadeloupe is worth the drive! Dramatic cliffs, stunning water and crashing waves. Every turn on this road is jaw dropping.
Beautiful spot! The view is amazing and it’s impressive. Must do. The place is easy to access but the walk once there can be tricky for older people , kids and disabled people. But it’s still worth the stop, just to see the view and maybe not do the walk after 😉
We did an out and back hike here mostly in the woods. The views were nicest at the beginning near the parking lot as there were few views of the water because the forest was so dense. But the real highlight for us after an 11km hike was the wonderful “Glace Coco” stand operated by a gentleman from a hut in the parking area for the Grande Vigie. It was so wonderful and was a perfect treat after a long walk. Definitely the best coconut ice cream we found during our week in Guadeloupe.
Point of view with a great panorama. Mother nature is incredibly beautiful. I have a lot of trouble with the points of view repeated in Guadeloupe, but this one is by far the best. Watch out for the wind
This is on part of the route around the area be warned it's very rocky and sharp under foot not suitable for young children or adults carrying young children, if you do go take the trail backwards as it's I bit easier from half way round this way you can see the rocky track before committing to it
Easily reachable by car and very nice views. Unfortunately the place seems to be a bit abandoned and there trash laying around. But the view does make up for it.
Extraordinary view
Breathtaking scenery. Although the parking area isn’t well-maintained, there’s ample space for vehicles. It’s a worthwhile pit stop on the way up to Pointe de la Grande Vigie

Very nice team (Sophie and Renaud), to make you experience a perfect baptism ! The diving was secure, and soooo many fishes and sea creatures to watch at the first dive ! The equipment is also complete and well adapted for every one ! I highly recommend to explore the sea world with SeacretDive 🐟
Really enjoyed diving with Sophie and Renaud! They were able to make it a very enjoyable experience for me even though I don’t speak French. The arches dive site is really amazing, one of the best I’ve done on Guadeloupe, Highly recommend!
Me and my husband had a great time and dives with Sophie and Renaud. It was so relaxing to Dive with both of them and they showed as many different species underwater🦀🦞🐠🐟…
Had the time of my life! Just popped spontaneously in while underway, they offered me immediately a nice course. Renaud, is very friendly, passionate about diving ( what a surprise:-) high focused on safety and so relaxed. Not my last time at SeacretDive! Thanks a lot for all lessons!
We had a great time diving with Sophie and Renaud. They do an amazing job of adapting to the individuals needs in terms of language (french/german/english), level (new/beginner/advanced), dive length... They showed and explained a lot at the site and during extensive (de-)briefings in relaxed atmosphere at the shop. I recommend going for multiple dives - particularly the 2x dives on Sundays/Thursdays are great.
one of the nicest diving schools i have ever visited. sophie and renaud put so much effort into making everyone have a very good and special experience and you can tell they have a real passion for diving. We felt very comfortable and, above all, extremely safe! the equipment was first class!! Sophie also speaks German and English very well :) Many thanks to you both, we had a fantastic day!!
My partner and me did the Open Water Diver at Seacretdive. The vibe at the dive center, the gear, and the organization of the dives were nothing but excellent and the demonstrations of exercises needed for the certificate were really helpful. Even more amazing were the dives, we saw a lot of marine life during all 6 dives and always felt safe and looked after. Hopefully we'll be able to come back in the Future 😊👌🏼
We went snorkeling with SeacretDive and it was worth it. It is a fantastic business and we got to spend several hours seeing an absolutely beautiful coral reef with lots of amazing fish. The guide was relaxed, super helpfu,l and took the time to show us the sights. What I enjoyed was they allowed us to explore and take our time. We had the entire reef to ourselves and the water was crystal clear. Owned by a husband and wife and lo aged in a really quaint part of Guadeloupe. I highly recommend them. Thank you all for a great trip. We hope to return soon!

Maybe it was the time of the year, but it was super choppy, this not good for snorkeling. Beautiful beach tho…but some areas had the strong seaweed smell.
Great white beach with snorkling options. Not that crowed on the right side. No shade.
Windy, but great. No shadow
Beautiful beach with clear waters, even if there are a lot of waves

So far, the most beautiful scenic that I've seen on the island.

(Translated by Google) There are two places called "Hell's Gate" in Guadeloupe. The lesser-known one is nevertheless listed on the oldest maps. It is located a few kilometers east of the town of Le Moule, with an access road accessible from the St-François road in Le Moule. The place is very wild: a small, undeveloped parking lot, a large concrete staircase, and a magnificent coastal landscape with La Désirade in the distance. The more well-known one is located not far from Pointe de la Vigie. But we couldn't get there. There are no location signs, no marked parking, and probably a no-go zone (landslides, toxic sargassum? We don't know). May 2025. Mai 2025.

A little dangerous cove all the same for swimming, to admire the sea and take a dip it's great, watch out for sea urchins.... and big waves (Original) Anse très sauvage et bout du monde, pas de resto ici ni de masse touristique, le rêve! Crique un peu dangereuse tout de même pour la baignade, pour admirer la mer et faire trempette c’est le pied, attention aux oursins.... et aux grosses vagues

And above all, do not do anything stupid because there would quickly be consequences, but when you respect the potential dangers, there is nothing negative to say.
