Guided tours of a small-batch distillery with a big copper still & samples of rum & vodka.
Slide 1 of 8
We cruised into Grand Cayman for the first time. After taking a taxi tour of the island, a part of our group wanted to stop and try some rum at the Cayman Distillery. We did not have reservations and did not have time to wait for a tour as the ship left relatively early. But for a very small fee, Athena took us on a tasting tour of the rums and spirits that Cayman Spirits produces. Every one of the samples was different and served in an order that allowed us to taste the flavor without merging the nuances. Athena was amazing. She was friendly, conversational, and funny. She made the delicious sampling even better with her candor and personality. We purchased the "build your own sampler" 4 pint box with Coconut Rum, Banana Rum, and 2 of the Dark Rum. The Blackberry liqueur was a favorite, but it did not come in a pint. We decided to walk the path from the distillery to the cruise tender. It is about a mile, but it was an easy trip. While some have said in reviews that the area is "sketchy", we found that it was simply industrial. My wife and I are already planning our trip back to Grand Cayman and will visit again.
When we first arrived the welcoming was warm. The tour was immersive, engaging, and filled With fascinating insights about the rum making process, from sugarcane to cask. Truly enjoyed the humor from our tour guide, she was charming and funny. They had an assortment of delicious rum and coffee! We had the opportunity to taste the vintage rum along with amazing people we met there. Really appreciated the knowledgeable staff and best of all, we got to meet the coolest master distiller ever!
Definitely worth the visit. Misko was an awesome host and quite entertaining and knowledgeable. What was supposed to be an hour experience continued on into the afternoon. Perk of coming off season. Misko was a great steward of their products, a local family business. We arrived on Grand Cayman with a carry on, now leaving with a checked bag…couldn’t pass up some of those rums!
Wow! The best coconut rum and dark rum ive ever had. This distillery makes their rum in small batches and the technique they use for the coconuts amplify the flavor. I used to drink Tortuga but this is my new go to....amazing! The dark rum is like nothing you've probably tasted. It's a sipping rum, smooth, don't taste alcohol, it's made with molasses. They don't sell in the US or ship to the US so get yourself some before you leave the Island! Customs allows 5 bottles per person. 😁 Oh and the long haired gentlemen working there was awesome, very informative and funny.
We were here on Nov. 12 and we had a blast. Fantastic rum, the tasting was fun and we could not leave without a bottle 7 fathoms each. Thank you (bedankt :-) ) for a great experience.
We went as part of our Cayman’s Classic Food Tasting & Cultural Experience. When we arrived, we were taken care of by Athena who was amazing. Knowledgeable, charismatic, and so much fun! She made the experience so great and we got along so well. We spent a couple hours here to taste the rum and see the distillery. Besides Athena’s great personality, the rum was amazing as well.
My wife and I had an incredible time visiting Cayman Spirits Co. Mishko and Evan were outstanding hosts — friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. We had the opportunity to sample several different styles of rum and liqueurs, each with its own distinct flavor and story. They also shared some fantastic recommendations for food and cocktail pairings, which we can’t wait to try at home! The tour of the distillery was fascinating, offering a great behind-the-scenes look at how their rum and gin are made. We were also impressed to learn that a portion of their gin sales supports breast cancer research — such a meaningful cause. Overall, this was one of the highlights of our trip. The drinks, the atmosphere, and especially the people made it a memorable experience. Highly recommend a visit to Cayman Spirits Co.
One of the best distillery tours I have ever been on. Mischa from Croatia the assistant distiller was an awesome host/ guide! He explained all of the flavors and history of there products and lots of history of the island! Best part was lots of tastings! Dark and the coconut were out favorites but not a bad one in the batch. Make your reservation early!!! Wish I gotorr pics but I was to busy tasting!!

Very beautiful town, polite people. The policeman who conducted the traffic was entertaining. The scenery along the coastline was marvelous. We followed a walking tour from gpsmycity, we did not quite complete because it was a little too long.
This port was definitely one of my favorite in my Caribbean cruise. The town is nice and pretty clean, the beach and the water is absolutely beautiful. A great place for snorkeling!
We took an air conditioned shuttle ($6US) each way to the seven mile beach (public beach). Happy tours I think it was called. Sign was pink. Great port and great day.
I didn’t have time to look around the port. I booked the shore excursion that lasts the entire duration of the stay (even the ship’s stay duration). It’s still good to look around if you have time.
Getting off Celebrity Cruise Apex to see the town, I was disappointed in the Port. I didn’t expect much but I was still disappointed. I’m sure the rest of Grand Cayman is beautiful but the port is just tourist gift shops and restaurants. Everyone was nice but the shop workers kept pushing each store you walked past. Once outside the main port, it doesn’t get much better. The sidewalks are not really wheelchair friendly with heavy traffic going by. The water looks beautiful and you could get to a small sandy beach to walk into the water just outside the port security area. The bottom line is, take an excursion or stay on the ship.
Amazing port of call, we felt safe and there were plenty of venders. If you want to book an excursion simply get off the ship and head to a taxi or a tour group for booking. I would highly recommend stepping off the ship and experiencing what this port has to offer
Decent cruise ship port, nice little town with lots of shops. Don't expect cheap price though. The shoreline has lots good scenery spots, with some swimming / snorkeling area. Huge fishes (tarpon?) swimming around people in crystal clear water, quite amazing
This is smaller than other ports and rightfully so. There's multiple water taxis dropping off and picking up passengers. It's extremely hard to get on the wrong ship when leaving the port since there are multiple signs and they check your ship ID card multiple times. The port has a good number of shops and eateries. There's a designated spot for pre-booked excursions, but there's also folks offering tours and such at the port. If you choose to go off on your own, be prepared to show your cruise ID to get back inside the port... even when leaving the shops. Since a few of the shops have street access, there's security at the store exits to ensure you're on a cruise. So have your ID ready. Lastly, there's a great spot to get a picture of the ship behind you before getting back on the taxi.

Great little brewery beer is fantastic and clean. Servers was very nice we bought shirts before leaving.
Cool place to stop in and have a beer while picking up a sampler six pack. Pints were $5 which was an absolute deal for cold, quality beer. The bartender was friendly and able to direct me to a beer that was perfect for my taste. There was an outdoor seating area which we didn't visit but it looked inviting as well. Loved the overall vibe. Great merchandise/gift options as well.
I don’t want to support just cause it’s local, but I love the atmosphere! The staff is always supporting and willing to explain plus, they are knowledgeable about all the products. Don’t miss out! Love the draft and the service draw you in and keep you for a bit! Awesome guys, keep going!
A great place to relax, enjoy a drink or two. Highly recommend!!
My go to spot for a nice cold drink with the boys. Good atmosphere inside and they have burger shack food truck so u can order inside and eat while having a cold one. Also the price here is very affordable!
Awesome spot - it's pretty small, but the beer is cheap and the variety is quite good. Tons of cool Ts to buy, but a bit pricey. You can buy beer to-go, we even brought some home with us. I definitely recommend this brewery as a stop on Grand Cayman.
A must visit on the island. A great place to sit and enjoy a beer at a very reasonable price and great staff as well. Strongly suggest buying any take away beer you need from here as cheaper than anywhere else on the island. They also have some beers you can’t get in cans or bottles.
This place is always a favourite local beer spot. If you want to enjoy local beer on Cayman Island, you should try Cayman Island Brewery which is located at 366 Shamrock Road. They have a beer-tasting flight which is highly recommended, as well as Mango tango which is a mango flavour beer. 🍻🍻🍻🍻 If you are hungry you can order food from Yummy Tummy, and they will be delivered the food to the brewery.

You have to visit this Gallery if you are visiting Grand Cayman. Its amazing. The offer events, classes, and other special events. The galleries were polished, well lit, and interesting. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. It was the highlight of our trip!!
Absolutely lovely and a must-see when visiting! A beautiful showcase of the island’s creative spirit, filled with unique and inspiring art. You can really see the incredible talent and skill that went into every piece.
TimeBack exhibit showcased historical photojournalist images from the islands past. The upper floor contained artwork from local artists, there is also a sculpture garden in the back. Admission was free at the time of this review. Overall great experience and a good way to get out of the heat for a couple hours on your trip.
I came across an incredible gallery filled with art and history that many, including locals, may have forgotten. The art was diverse and the scenery was beautiful. They had many unique sculptures and artworks created by worldly artists using different mediums. The gallery offers free entry, but encourages donations. It was my favorite discovery during my vacation.
Had a marvelous visit yesterday at National Gallery, rather small but always on point with many hidden gems. They also focus on education/outreach programmes and research projects. Thanks and kudos to y'all♥️ FYI current exhibitions are, -TimeBack (until Sep 3) -Evolutions (until Nov 1)
Lovely way to spend an hour or two admiring art. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful. The entire facility and gardens were immaculately kept. It was raining when we visited, so we didn't spend as much time in the garden. What we saw was beautiful with functional and decorative pieces. Great photo ops. No admission fee was charged, but there is a donation box to contribute to the operating expenses.
A fantastic gallery to visit. Small but a perfect example of the incredible artists we have on the island. A variety of artists show permanent exhibits plus temporary shows as well. Also a little cafe and a beautiful garden with sculptures and a small maze. Not huge but still worth a visit. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
Small but impressive art gallery! Can be done in an hour or so! The lower level has exhibits that are temporary and rotating. The upper level - permanent e exhibits by Cayman Islands artists. Both are impressive. The nicest thing is that the art represents local life and history of the islands through the ages! There is a sad undercurrent of sadness brought on by development and loss of the older ways of life! Would love to recommend this to anyone. Plus it's all free!

A quick walk through, nice park,🌹🍀
I decided to take a leisurely stroll during my visit and came upon this historical site. This is located right outside the port terminal, so it's easy for visitors to get to. I didn't know much about the Cayman Islands, but any amount of history is appreciated. Although it's a smaller historical site, I suggest every person visit.
Quick 15 minute stop to read about the Fort George. It’s in a busy location, but there is parking available and lots of stores and good restaurants. Is busy when cruise ships are in, but otherwise not so busy area
Just some small ruins, an observation tower and a couple cannons. Almost nothing left, due to it being knocked down by developers some decades ago. It's a shame the government of Cayman does not seem to care about preserving what little history they have.
It was a quick visit that we'd walked past three times the previous day.
Small island, beautiful and bursting with tourists. A good place to visit and spend time with family and friends.
Some might view this place in other light but I believe the rustic dirty look works for it. Almost like a fisherman town vibe. Little shops all around. Being a tourist I don’t know much about the area but I just feel it needs slightly more attention from the local govn’t with as much funding as it can. A lot of people want to come see this.
Very interesting history of the fort although not much has been saved. They have the markers and murals to explain the significance of it.

Had a wonderful visit to the island during our cruise. Heroes Square was still under construction but still had some great sculptures in place to see. Love the island and the locals were very polite and friendly.
For a small country it is very proud of the accomplishments of its people. The Square honors some from the distant past but many whose contributions are more recent. It's located in the heart of the business district and seat of parliament. The public bus stop is very close. The foot traffic must be very good because of the location which makes this an easy attraction to visit.
Lots of interesting things to see here.
An attractive square with fountains, sculptures and monument to all the National Heroes of Cayman. Unfortunately there’s no seating (head across to the Centennial Park outside the library for seats) unless you perch on the wall around the fountains - they aren’t always operational so you may stay dry.
Immerse yourself and find peace.
Interesting history of the island.

Only mini golf on the island. Always a fun time
So sad they haven’t put a little investment into repairing this beauty. Would be nice to have mini golf in Cayman again.
Zero stars if I could. I'm not really sure how they get away with actually charging people to go to this poor excuse for putt putt. It was such a disappointment for us and our son. The place is falling apart. It really needs to be closed down.
It is currently in shambles. It was a fantastic place to go, but now it is not. Do not spend your money here.

Best and biggest public library on the island; no need to waste time and try the other smaller ones at West Bay / Bodden Town etc if you live near George Town as you’ll only be disappointed.
Good & clean library, friendly staff and free Wi-Fi available
A great space for calm and concentration! They also have a great conference room space upstairs.
The “Opac” online booking system is amazing and makes it easy to find and reserve books within the entire collection (including other branches) - including great authors and lots of history books - from the comfort of your home!
Large collection over three floors - don’t make the mistake of thinking it’s only the ground floor! Entrance is through one of the two side doors, not through the older front door of the older part of the building. Staff are friendly and helpful - they may be able to request a book from one of the other libraries on island if you can’t find what you’re looking for. Often there are free or cheaply priced ex-stock available.
I got off the cruise and needed secured WiFi so I went to this library which was walking distance from the port. The library was really convenient and clean. It was in a historical area of Georgetown
A public space you can go an get a little peace on quite ,read Book do some research use there WiFi Get your school work done etc!!!
If you need to print something just dont do it here. Also the wifi is terrible , but otherwise than that its a nice area to do your studies.

This was so cool to do. Jermaine was so knowledgeable and explained how to operate the scooter to the tea. At 1st I was nervous cause it's GPS guided but I actually like it that way. The set up of it is so cool and it explains each stop and history of the island! Would def recommend doing this but dress accordingly cause it be hot!
Their phone was out of service but cancelled via email prior to their policy and was assured a full refund would be offered in a few days. Emailed multiple times to follow up with no response and had to get my credit card company involved. When disputed, they said I did not cancel within their policy (not true) and would not honor a refund. Not ok.
Scoot n tour is so much fun please be advised if you don't drive or have a license you shouldn't participate in this activity as a driver. Those who don't drive should sit in the passenger seat. The scoots are very small they have a trunk very small that can fit two small bags in the back. It is a wonderful fun experience but can be dangerous a little bit because of the traffic in the street. Sometimes the scoots were delayed to start but once u wait about 2 mins the engine will turn on. Do not drive it in the sand or any pot holes you will get stuck and the scoot doesn't reverse so if you do get stuck you will have to get out the scoot and push with your partner to get out. It's very easy n light to push if this happens so don't think you can't do it. We didn't use the GPS because it was a iPad that had set places kind of difficult to work and our phones had service all over the island so we used our phones for gps and that's how we got around. Overall we had a great time shout outs to Jermaine he was truly a big help. Great service fun activity to do real quick on ya vacation. We choose the west tour package for $199 plus 40$ for insurance. It was a 4 hour self tour no one takes you or guides you. But their is always a gps on ya phone or you can pay extra for the iPad gps that comes with it. So about $248 with tax tops you'll pay for 2 people. It went by so quickly but I think it was just a perfect amount of time to enjoy Grand cayman.
Such a fun experience!! We had a blast learning to drive on the opposite side of the road and Scoot N around the island. The scooter performed exactly as advertised and Jermaine M. was there to help with all of our questions! Awesome Customer Service! If you get the GPS guided tour, ear buds might be helpful. We highly recommend trying this place out for your next adventure!
The employees were so incredibly nice and helpful!!!! We LOVED our tour and we especially loved that we could detour and the iPad tour guide would just pick up where we left off. Saw lots of points of interest we would have never discovered without this tour. Super fun!!
I believe they may be closed down. We had made reservations for 2/15/25 and arrived to find the trailer office closed and no one around. The mechanic shop next door said they hadn't been there in a few weeks and that we were not the first people who had reservations and didn't get them. They responded quickly to an email I sent and said a refund had been processed on the Monday before (and an email sent) but neither of these was ever received. I had to contact our credit card company and dispute it. I appreciated their quick response, but they need to shut down their website or put a note about not accepting any more reservations if they are having difficulties. I continued to get emails from their reservation system asking how our tour went (that we weren't able to take).
Lots of fun. The cars do not keep up with cars on the main road around the island. Once you get out of port area the cars drive faster, so this was a little uncomfortable to be backing up cars behind us. If you do not opt for the tour with GPS, be sure to have GPS access on your phones through international data plans. That was a little strange to only use a map that was a touristy map and not traditional road map. This was fun though, we would probably do it again, just we learned things that would prepare us more for the next time.
The scooter was a very fun way to get around the island! Jerman was such a great help!

Awesome gym!! Love the old school vibe with motivational environment and great equipment. The go-to training center in Grand Cayman, highly recommend!
Best sports recreation center on the island. Shame there isn’t more. The gym is fantastic I’ve been going there for years.
We did the bowling as a team. Extremely expensive. Both lanes that we used had technical issues. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Because we booked in advance we had to pay $40 per person for an hour, vs $18.50 if you dont book. Both lanes had technical issues, the pins would get knocked over by the machine, it would not count certain bowls even though pins were knocked down, gutter guard didn't go down properly. Staff were unhelpful. Won't be going back.
Look out for adult entertainment - Mid week bowling fun for adults! Adult Skating fun!
Nice place for kids. I would say the only roller skate 🛼 in the Cayman Islands. Haven’t tried their food or related.
We spent our daughter's birthday party here with friends. We had fun bowling and skating. BUT!!! The staff are super rude, except Cadeen, who only knows customer service. The staff by the bar and bowling area got to go! They are so lazy, embarrassing the customers and giving attitude while kids are ordering. Shouting and arguing with us because we ask why they are acting up like that. It's a great place to hang out, but sadly, we will avoid returning because of the staff. Not the best experience.
If you are looking for a clean, functional fitness gym Kings is not the place for you. If you are hard core weighting lifting, basement or garage type athlete you might find it more appealing. The equipment is very old and outdated, the few functional machines are dirty with several layers of dust and fuss on them and dont you ever think about laying down on the floor or walk barefoot. The lack of gyms on the island makes it a choice. Also they are, at the moment, less expensive than the other outrageously priced gyms, but this is exactly what you get. Cheap.
Some days, the gym isn't about gains. It's about therapy.

Beautiful gallery with lots of pieces in every price range. The woman working there was very helpful at picking out a nice, original painting that fit within our budget. Very happy with our purchase.
Gorgeous open gallery filled with a wide variety of beautiful art from painted tiles to cast sculptures to photographs to notecards to paintings to prints. The selection is always changing and you can more than likely find something to fit most anyones taste here. It is a higher end gallery, though, so prices for most of the pieces will set you back a pretty penny...
There is wonderful and reasonably art here from local artists. Excellent customer service and we really appreciate the gentleman who checked us out who made sure our multiple art pieces were very well packaged for our flight.
