First time to Tres Palapas, and first time to Baja. Attended the Skills Immersion Camp, which is offered about twice a month. Great weather, great people, and great coaching. Hats off to Joe and Gus for raising the level of our game. Much gratitude to our hosts Brandon and Mindy who were super helpful, and always did so with a smile on their faces. Great friendly staff, who are also good players! As all inclusive package customers we had great accommodation (house) a great meal plan, and transportation to and from SJD airport included. We had coaching in the morning, did excursions in the afternoon, played before dinner and watched elite players grace centre court while we had our meals. Oh, and we miss Joe's dog Chili! Well done guys, and all the best for 2025.
This was one of the best Pickleball weeks I’ve had in a long time. The all inclusive package was amazing. We brought down about 22 players and mixed in with the locals, and it was unbelievable. The staff at the resort made our experience amazing. The accommodations were absolutely beautiful and the food was five star plus, the chef they have on staff is amazing. The owner‘s runner very very good business. Everything was taken care of. The pleasant surprise was the amount of excursions we were able to do. We went diving, snorkeling, side-by-side up the river bed to a waterfall, horseback riding, deep-sea, fishing, and many other things, including just going to the city. Highly recommend you come as an individual couple or you get a group together and thoroughly enjoy the experience.
The new gym is SUPER cool. They have great classes too! It's an outdoor gym and I went when it was super hot outside but the gym was really nice and shaded. Great addition to this already outstanding place. We love the pickleball -- really fun place to play, excellent courts. Plenty of people to play with so just show up!
This is Pickleball Paradise. The facility is absolutely gorgeous down to the last little detail. The community, owners, and staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Lessons were excellent and very helpful. The pro shop had a good selection, even late in the season The food, smoothies and coffee are all great. I love all of the seating/viewing areas. Even on a hot day, there is usually a good, cool breeze. Water is triple filtered. Bathrooms are clean.
We had an incredible time at Tres Palapas! The onsite accommodations were right next to the courts and swimming pool. The room was very spacious, clean, and beautiful, with a full kitchen, which we really didn't need because the resort is all-inclusive. They had a cook there named Miguel and HE WAS AMAZING! The food was absolutely delicious and you can order anytime during the day with a dinner special that was to die for in the evening. Joe was the pickleball pro who ran drills in the morning and MLP-style play in the evenings. You can play as much or as little pickleball as you like. You can also walk 3 minutes down to the beach, where we watched manta rays jumping 5 feet out of the water and whales doing what looked like a mating ritual. We went in February, and the weather was perfect! Highs in the 70's and warm at night. We will definitely go back!
The owners & staff were friendly & helpful. Accommodations were spacious, well appointed & clean. Especially liked the local wood cabinets & comfortable King sized bed.
We have had an incredible week at Tres Palapas. The all-inclusive package has been amazing. Chef Miguel's meals are incredible. I have not had one meal all week that I haven't absolutely loved. All of the staff is friendly and amazing. The pickleball is super fun, too. I would recommend this experience to anyone who loves good food and good pickleball!
We had the most delicious smoothies here every morning of our trip, the breakfast burrito was also yummy! Service was very friendly and extremely fast.
