Piers & Boardwalks
Playa El Coromuel is a vibrant beach destination located near La Paz, easily accessible by cycling. The beach offers facilities such as restrooms, restaurants, and rentals. Families can enjoy the aquatic water park with two giant waterslides that propel you into the warm sea. This stunning beach is known for its golden sand and clear blue waters, perfect for activities like snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, and fishing. It also provides breathtaking views of the local mountains.
Close to town so easy to get transportation. Snorkeling and water sports + beach service for eateries.
Christina M — Google review
Away from the downtown hustle and bustle. Public beach with free palapas and various food shops near by that career to the beach customers. You can feel free to go up and get your own or for a few shekels more, you can have them bring it to you on the beach. Nice calm water and beautiful long pier suitable for photo shoots. If you can't get one of the free palapas you can rent an umbrella table and chairs. If you're there to eat and drink the table chairs and umbrella are complimentary with your purchase. The water was calm clean and cool on the day we went with a light breeze in about 80°F. We had beers and fruit while we enjoyed the views and the sand. The people were kind, the service was great, the prices were very reasonable. The beach was very clean with people enjoying music and not a ton of loud obnoxious young adults and smokers.
Xbox U — Google review
It's an excellent choice if you're looking for a convenient, family-friendly beach close to the city. The beach is well-maintained and has all the essentials you need for a comfortable day by the water. One of the biggest perks is its accessibility. It's a quick and easy drive from downtown La Paz, and there's plenty of parking available. You don't have to worry about a long journey to find a great spot. The water is typically calm and shallow, which makes it perfect for kids to swim and play in. There are also palapas and lounge chairs you can rent, so you're not stuck laying a towel directly on the sand. The on-site restaurant and food stalls are a huge plus, offering a decent variety of food and drinks. The bathrooms are also clean and well-kept. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that it can get pretty crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. The atmosphere is more "busy public beach" than "tranquil escape." If you're looking for a quiet, secluded spot, this might not be it. However, if you're traveling with family or want a beach with amenities and a lively vibe, it's a fantastic option. It's a great place to spend a fun, hassle-free day soaking up the sun and enjoying the Sea of Cortez.
Iliana P — Google review
Solid beach on the edge of town that somehow works for both family vibes and cracking beers with the bros. Plenty of free palapas to claim, or you can spring for an umbrella setup with chairs and a table. Food is available too—take the short walk up to the restaurants or kick back and let table-side service come to you. The only buzzkill? Shards of broken glass in the sand. I didn’t hit anything sharp, but bottles on the beach are a trash move—stick to cans. If people showed this place a little more respect, it’d easily be a 5-star recommendation. As it stands, the vibe is there, the setup is there, but the glass is a safety hazard.
Lucas S — Google review
Nice beach close to town. There’s public restrooms and a small seafood restaurant. There’s a scenic overlook where you can get great ocean views.
Karla S — Google review
Went on a Saturday. It wasn’t terribly busy. You rent tables, chairs, umbrellas. There’s food and drink service. The ceviche was good. There are food stands up top but did not have cold coco. There’s a ramp for individuals not able to do stairs.
Melis T — Google review
The water is crystal clear with schools of fish swimming around. Very nice.
Frieda M — Google review
Incredibly clear calm water with a super gradual water depth with 10s of kinds of fish that swim right up to you. The happy fish 12 restaurant had the best shrimp ceviche I have ever had.

It serves as the seat of the Diocese and holds religious ceremonies along with occasional musical performances. The cathedral features a simple facade with two towers and ornate baroque altar pieces from the 18th century.
Such a lovely simple cathedral standing tall in La Paz. There’s no entrance fee.
Gee D — Google review
It's a beautiful church with a lot of history. It is beside a relaxing park with a pavillion. So many cool places to visit this area like the Malecon, local stores and ice cream shops.
S J — Google review
Very nice and quaint church. Several spots to take photos inside and out. The La Paz city sign is across the street from this church and the city plaza is across the stree as well. They had several stained glass ones depicting our lord's life and tribulations.

Cantamar Tours & Scuba / Baja Diving and Service

Mentioned on
6 lists
SCUBA tour agency
Diving center
Cantamar Tours & Scuba / Baja Diving and Service offers an unforgettable scuba diving experience in La Paz. Despite being a small group, the tour provides comfort and affordability. The trip includes sightings of humpback whales on the way to Espiritu Island, encounters with sea lions during the first dive, exploration of a shipwreck during the second dive, and a delightful ceviche lunch on the beach. The professional staff ensures a safe and enjoyable adventure for all participants.
Had a wonderful boat trip that was such a highlight of our Baja trip. We loved swimming with the sea lions and our guide and captain were super enthusiastic and lovely people. Cerviche on the beach at Balandra was amazing, we were there and we had a whole little beach to ourselves. Super nice and chilled day.
Sarah C — Google review
The tour to Espiritu Santo Island was great 👍🏽 the Capitan and the crew members were amazing. They took care of us and provided great food. I recommend this tour 100%
Janeth D — Google review
October 25, 2025 We had the pleasure of meeting the dive instructor/master, Maurice for a discovery dive. Maurice was so patient and knowledgeable making me feel safe. I’m a veteran diver but had not dove in 20 years. I was feeling a little anxious but Maurice calmed my fears with helpful information. It was like riding a bike. The captain Gil was friendly and put our safety first by handing out life vests as soon as we climbed aboard the boat. The total experience was wonderful and a delicious lunch provided with cold drinks. I will be recommending this company to all my friends who like to dive and ir snorkel. They shared their knowledge about the area islands beaches flora and fauna that was interesting. Their customer service was excellent. Thank you. Lisa and Demeris Morse
Lisa M — Google review
We had an awesome experience with Cantamar Tours. They seemed professional and very courteous. The number of people on board was small and we were able to snorkel with multiple whale sharks. In fact, I tired out and came back to the boat after seeing many up close. I highly recommend this tour group! Paul from Dallas, Texas
Paul S — Google review
We had a fantastic day with our amazing guide Valeria and our skipper Hillar around Espiritu Santo island and swimming with the Sea Lions. It was great to learn about the history and biodiversity from our guide who was also excellent with our 11 year old daughter showing her some snorkeling and diving skills aground the reefs. We felt very safe on the boat with good equipments and refreshments. Lunch at the beach was fresh and tasty. Probably the best day of our cruise and would highly recommend.
Andrew P — Google review
This was an amazing experience!!! Everything was perfect Not fancy at all, but the perfect size group, and just a great way to see the beauty of Baja!
Viktoria V — Google review
Miguel, Gil and Mau were great guides. We had a great experience. It was our kids first time snorkeling and we had a blast. We definitely recommend this agency. We will definitely be coming back to scuba dive. Snorkeling with the sea lions was a blast.
Karina P — Google review
My husband and I had an incredible day at sea. The crew was amazing, knowledgable and patient with all onboard. in addition to experiencing the wonders of snorkeling among sea lions, we encountered dolphins , manta rays, sea turtles and the breathtaking appearance of two humpback whales!!! Thank You Cantamar for such a magical tour!!!

Cerro de La Calavera

Mentioned on
5 lists
Scenic spot
Hiking area
Cerro de La Calavera, also known as the Hill of Skulls, is a geological monument just outside the city center with peculiar rock formations eroded by wind and water, some resembling skull-like sculptures. The steep and rocky trail offers spectacular sunset views but requires good shoes due to slippery rocks. Despite some confusion about access, locals assure that it's open to everyone. The top offers fantastic panoramic views making the effort worthwhile.
This is an excellent hiking area near La Paz, perfect for both walking and trail running. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and the nearby valley filled with cactuses is incredibly beautiful. A must-visit for nature lovers!
Yevhenii B — Google review
Nice hike close to town. I have tried a couple of approaches, and with the help of satellite views, I think best is to go a little past the "trailhead" and take the gradual incline dirt road up to just before a fence, then veer off to the left. I parked at the main road, took about 45 minutes up-and-back.
Brian L — Google review
Excellent sunset view. Good 10 minute hike. Better to use shoes with good grip there’re lots of loose rocks. Important!!! There are no signs of rattle snakes. Be careful!! I jumped backwards when I hear the rattle.
Arturo R — Google review
This is a nice short hike on rock faces that have a lot of traction. It is a 450 foot elevation gain to the caves and more if you continue down the trail. This spot is quite popular on weekends and every sundown. It is a beautiful place to visit and offers stunning sunsets.
Kevin V — Google review
Great scenic spot to see the ocean. Definitely wear good shoes. Enter the trail from the road past the house with the fence. You will need to go up under the old, unused billboard. If you struggle with hiking, this may be hard for you. There are a few steep areas. It takes about 25 minutes to get up. It can be difficult to know which path to follow if you are going in the middle of the day with no people.
Janelle S — Google review
The views are spectacular especially at sunset. The route we took up to the cliff was steep and rocky. I think there may be a better trail further back from the road but we took the first trail we saw. We parked on the side of the road outside of the chainlink fence. Good shoes are advisable. The rocks are easy to slide on and I fell once.
Tiffany G — Google review
Great views. Needs more parking to capture the view
Jason T — Google review
Very nice place to take photos specially at sunset!! We went like at 2 pm and it was so hot. It’s better to go at 4:40 that way is not that hot and you’ll catch the sunset for awesome photos.

Baja California Sur Regional Museum

Mentioned on
2 lists
Heritage museum
Museums
The Baja California Sur Regional Museum is a captivating destination that delves into the rich anthropology and history of the region. Visitors can explore exhibits showcasing ancient wildlife, including woolly mammoths and saber-tooth tigers, alongside artifacts from early human inhabitants. The museum also addresses significant historical events such as the Spanish invasion and revolution. Guests have praised their experiences here, particularly highlighting knowledgeable guides like Levi, who share fascinating stories that enhance understanding of Baja California's cultural heritage.
I love this regional museum. It was small but very informative. Like many museums it started at the bottom floor with an ancient history paleolithic, I think. It explains about the mammoths that live in the area and that this area is close to where the meteor strike at the end of the dinosaur era took place. It showed how the ancient people lived and thrived in the area. The 2nd floor explained more of the exploration done by the Spanish. The third went into the more modern-day Histories of the revolution and the fight for independence in California Baja Sur. It was very easy to find and access. Our cab driver took us right there and it didn't cost very much a few bucks. There was a guide but he was busy with the children's group. And so we explored our own. With our camera, the museum offers English translation through barcodes so you can look it up online as you go through the exhibits. So make sure to have your smart phone. It was very easy to find and access. Our cab driver took us there and it didn't cost very much, a few bucks. They have guides. He was busy with the children's group. And so we explored on our own. It was informative and as archeology often does, reminds of many other museums and relationships that connect us all through this worlds history. I really enjoyed it!
Pat S — Google review
It was a very lovely museum and better than I thought. Friendly employees and good collections as well. We were visiting from Carnival cruise ship from LA
Siqi S — Google review
This week the upper level had an interesting exposition. Free to enter but you can support them at the exit. Is a small museum, you need no more than 1 hour. It’s a good time to refresh your self. They have a souvenir store with local artisans pieces.
Arturo R — Google review
I admit that I like museums! This one was pretty interesting and informative about the history of Baja and Mexico. The main level had current art with many of the paintings being for sale at reasonable prices for original art! Going up from there was the story of the Baja region. From early man and cave paintings, to the Spanish and more. The dioramas and recreations of actual cave paintings and life long ago in Baja were very interesting! I learned a lot about Baja history in this visit. If your in La Paz, this is one of the places you should visit!
Donald M — Google review
Great little museum in La Paz. Only 75 pesos to enter.
Eddie R — Google review
Learned many new things about both the ancient Americas as well as the more modern BCS structure and path to independence
Christina M — Google review
I was pleasantly surprised by their exhibits, artifacts, and artwork. There are 3 floors, and each floor is a different time period in history. Starting with the natives culture & lifestyles to the Spanish influence / history to the founders of the country. All were very well depicted & made it easy to follow. The staff was very friendly & helpful as well.
Janis P — Google review
No signs in English— you need to download via QR code but site was down day we were there so had no idea what we were seeing. Looked like it would have been interesting but had no clue. Waste of money and time on a very hot day!!

Serpentario de La Paz

Mentioned on
1 list
Animal shelter
Nature & Parks
Serpentario de La Paz is an ecological park that serves as a shelter and sanctuary for over 150 species of reptiles, birds, and other rescued animals. It offers a petting zoo for children and provides educational programs about the local wildlife. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, ensuring the well-being of the animals. Visitors can see, touch, and learn about various creatures while supporting their recovery from injuries before being released back into the wild.
This place has been a highlight of our time in La Paz! It’s a small rehabilitation center for injured or abandoned animals. It now costs 200 pesos per adult, which was well worth it! We saw the animals being lovingly, and attentively cared for. There is an area for group education. You can purchase food for some of the animals in the gift shop. We didn’t notice that until we were on our way out, but this did not detract from our experience. The best part is the aviario where guinea pigs and various birds are very social. The birds would land on our arms and nibble at our feet. The guinea pigs also were interested in touching our feet, but not being held. It was magical!
CherylAnn C — Google review
One of the highlights to our La Paz trip. We love animals and it was amazing to see all the work this sanctuary does to help rehabilitate and care for these animals. Saw so many species of snakes and reptiles that we have never seen. The volunteer workers are very passionate and friendly. One told us all about the owls. Recommend wearing long sleeves and pants, in case of mosquitoes.
Angela C — Google review
11 and 9yr old grandsons loved it - want to make it a reoccurring adventure every time they visit. Lots more than just reptiles. Highlights were “feed the birds and Guinea pigs” cage and the pond full of red ear slider turtles. For a few pesos you can purchase food for some of the creatures. It was a fun jaunt. Place was mostly shaded but we brought hats anyway. Cute gift shop and the boys love their T-shirts
Michelle M — Google review
Very impressed. Drove by this place many times without ever seeing it because it's in a residential area. As being someone who helps care for a reptile (see some of my other reviews), we were impressed by the whole experience. The critters seem happy and healthy. The staff seem to really enjoy what they do. I would definitely recommend stopping by for a visit. FYI, They are providing care for more than just reptiles.
KC D — Google review
Wonderful reptile and animal rehab center that's worth a visit to see some endemic species. * Lots of different species of reptiles, birds, and small mammals. The center will try to rehab the endemic animals for release. * Animals are well taken care of and their living spaces are clean. * Animal caretakers walk around frequently and are happy to chat about the rescues. * Plenty of street parking. The serpentarium is located in a suburban neighborhood, nestled between two townhome complexes.
Urian C — Google review
A small zoo, with turtles, reptiles and birds. There is a fee for entry, and you can purchase small amounts of food for the turtles, birds and rabbits. A small information card gives the animals scientific and common name, region and diet, in both Spanish and English. The animals appear to be well cared for. Some are being rehabilitated and some are permanent residents, used for educational programs. (There was a Mexican Grey Fox there when we visited -- so cute!) The turtles, birds and rabbits are habituated to expect food from visitors, so they will swarm you pretty aggressively. The only unfortunate part was the number of biting insects. We all had 20+ bites on our legs and arms before we were done. Wear bug repellent!
Bits — Google review
El Serpentario de La Paz is an excellent animal shelter to bring your family to. Make sure to bring pesos because they don't take credit cards. You can buy animal food in little water bottle lids to feed turtles, guinea pigs and birds.
Josh F — Google review
This is my wife's favorite place to visit in La Paz. We have tried to visit every other week for the last six months. My wife especially loves to feed the birds, hamsters and occasional rabbit in the enclosure they have. It's like a Disney princess moment for her when the birds are covering her and hamsters are underfoot. I highly recommend Serpentario and it's a must see if you're in La Paz. They have many rehabilitation and permanent exhibits and they take great care of all of the animals.

The sculpture Monument to the Dove of Peace is a huge symbol of La Paz and can be seen by anyone coming or going from the city. It is a simple pair of doves or a whale's tail, with a short walk around it.

Playa Ensenada Grande

Beach
Outdoor Activities
La Paz is located on the Baja California peninsula on the Bay of La Paz, 210 kilometres (130 mi) south of Ciudad Constitución, municipality of Comondú, and 202 kilometres (126 mi) north of Cabo San Lucas, municipality of Los Cabos. It is located 81 kilometres (50 mi) north of the town of Todos Santos. Its geographical coordinates are 24°08′32″ N and parallel 110°18′39″W, it has an altitude of 0 to 27 meters above the sea level. It is one of the three state capitals of Mexico that are on the coast of the sea.La Paz has a subtropical desert climate (BWh). The climate of La Paz is relatively consistent with generally little rainfall, with a year around average temperature of between 17 and 30 °C (63 and 86 °F). Summer months (July–September) typically see highs between 34 and 36 °C (93 and 97 °F) and dew points of 21–23 °C (70–73 °F). [8] The winter months (December–February) are the coldest with temperatures dropping below 15 °C (59 °F) at night, but cold mostly are from 20 to 25 °C (68 to 77 °F). Breezes from Bahía de La Paz moderate the temperature. The bay also acts as a barrier against seasonal storms in the Gulf of California. Rainfall is minimal at most times of year, although erratic downpours can bring heavy rains. Rain tends to be concentrated in a short, slightly rainier season that peaks in August and September, following the pattern of the North American Monsoon. The driest season, where it is common to have no rain, occurs March through June. La Paz averages over 300 days of sunshine annually and an average of 3148 sunshine hours. During the summer the cooling Coromuel winds, a weather phenomenon unique to the La Paz area, blow during the night from the Pacific over the Peninsula and into the Bay of La Paz. As with most of the Gulf of California, the temperature of the water changes substantially over the course of the year, with temperatures around 68 °F (20 °C) during winter and around 85 °F (29 °C) during summer

Being an explorer in searching for good diving, snorkeling, and natural sceneries, we bit the tourist trap by purchasing the tour. The water is not as clear as Hawaii, or some part of Cancun. Even around the coves where they are sheltered from the coastal winds, when water is as calm as a lake with gentle winds brushing the surface, the water is murky. The visibility is less than 4 meters from the surface. We can barely see corrals beneath the water at 4 meters below, and the bottom estimated to be 10 meters. We have to swim in water depths of 1 meters around coarse sands to see small fishes no larger than three fingers. Any deeper, you can't even see the bottom clearly. Larger fishes the size of your two hands couldn't be seen around August. Make sure to visit during peak periods around December to March. It will be very crowded. Not sure how the turbidity conditions be with that much movements.

Nice place to chill after sea lions diving! Must stop for a quick visit (stayed there around 1 1/2 hours) and the views are spectacular. Believe you should book a ride to take you there, as it does not have direct access from the Espirito Santo Island

An incredible beach to visit, even thought it is quite hard to get there since the only way to visit the beach is by boat, but after all, it is still a must of you are in La Paz, the beach is just as beautiful as Balandra which means an stunning view and maybe one of the most beautiful beaches you would ever see!.

Playa El Tesoro

Beach
Great place for snorkeling with the kids! The waters are shallow enough to walk for several hundred meters and the ocean life is able to be seen all around! Careful for the puffer fish and little critters that pinch though!
Jonathan V — Google review
Really nice private-like laguna. A bit of noise from the road behind, but not too bad. Can rent there small canoes 🛶 for 10 peso pp. The restaurant has really nice food, great guacamole and fish Tacos, selection of the best Mexican beers.
Ran S — Google review
If this is your first beach trip ever, yeah, it might feel like five stars. But I’ve logged plenty of sand time, and this one’s barely a three. Sure, it’s pretty and low-key, but the water is murky with algae and gives off “do I really wanna swim in this?” vibes. I’d love to bump it higher, but with way better beaches just minutes away, this spot is strictly a backup plan. Pretty view, gross water, and not worth a return trip.
Lucas S — Google review
I‘ve never wanted to leave the beach before I got here. The prices are so insane, you have to pay 500 Pesos for the seats, restroom is not included (which was by the way super dirty and nasty, paying 15 Pesos for that is just crazy). Service was slow and not paying attention to the guests and food was overpriced as well. The Ceviche was at least good, but all in all would not recommend coming here! Comparing to other beaches in La Paz, this one is definitely to skip!
Cung P — Google review
We came in late October, around 10am. There was no one :) Good: water is clear and shallow for a bath. Bad: The road is very close so it can get noisy from the trucks. Ugly: $500 pesos for a sun bed and umbrella. You can always stay on the beach side on your own if you have your own cooler and umbrella.

A beautiful beach on the way to Playa Balandra and Tecolote but worth a visit on it's own. Great staff, delicious food and drinks and beautiful water. Highly recommended!
Dom — Google review
Honestly, the worst experience I've had at the beach in my life, they charge you from $500 to $800 just to sit down, it's noisy and they still charge you for the bathroom that is disgusting, the beach is dirty and it's so low that you can't swim, the food is very expensive and the service is slow and rude, *there's really nothing to rescue. * If you have the opportunity to come, better go to Tepalcates or any other beach, there is simply no point of comparison in any of the ways.
Carlos S — Google review
Cute crescent beach on a shallow bay. Perfect for children - watch out for stingrays. Restaurant draws a crowd - pleasant music. The truck noise from the highway is a bit irritating 😠

Mariscos El Toro Güero is a popular seafood restaurant located in La Paz, which started as a small kiosk in the Reforma neighborhood of Mazatlan in 1990. Despite its simple open-air setting with a straw roof and lack of air-conditioning, it attracts both locals and tourists due to its delicious seafood offerings.
This is a legit local joint for seafood. Located a 5-10 minute drive away from the touristy malecón center in La Paz. El Toro Güero is very popular with locals. The menu choices are numerous and varied, the seafood is very fresh, portions are large enough to share and prices are very reasonable. Lots of easy streetside parking. Ample open air dining under a huge palapa-like roof and roving mariachis during evenings. If you are searching for a great fish or seafood meal at a reasonable prices, make your way here for the real Mexican experience.

Food was good. Service not so good. My wife ordered a shrimp cocktail which had about 20 shrimp and was very good. I had the weathered fish taco meal which came with 3 tacos with 6 pieces of fried fish on each taco for a total of 18 pieces of fish. I rather have too much food than not enough but this was over doing it! I was expecting some kind of slaw or something on the tacos. Nope, just fish and tortillas. Made for a very dry taco. Hiding under the tacos there was a green salad made out of stale, brown lettuce. We had to get up and get our own napkins and condiments. Once we got our food, the waiter never checked on us and my beer sat empty for the last 20 minutes of my meal. The entertainment was a guy pulling a speaker around while singing karaoke…

Didn’t have to walk too far from our camping area. Very good and reasonable price seafood. From fresh fish to octopus to clams and their infamous cocktails. We ordered the grilled octopus and ahi tuna with garlic sauce. The portions are huge can’t fish mine. They come with shrimp soup/broth with dinner. All the condiments to your choice. Service is very fast and friendly. Very island liked place to dine.

The Octopus was delicious, the sarandeado fish was acceptable. Because of the open space environment you’ll be fighting flies.

All locals. 3rd recommendation from a local as a seafood favorite. Mariscos sopas - very fresh seafood and remarkable broth Camaron toro loco special - relleno, bacon wrapped and coconut covered 6 pieces total. I love the flavorful rice. worth the price. All the locals had a cerveza.

Nim is a restaurant that has achieved a perfect balance between creating an excellent dining experience and providing a comfortable atmosphere. In addition to offering a unique menu with influences from countries such as Morocco, Vietnam, India, and France, Nim also hosts cooking classes and art exhibitions on occasions when it's not open for regular dining. The restaurant prides itself on using the freshest ingredients in its dishes.
We were finally able to sample the lunch offerings at Nim; this place has been on our radar for a few years, and we’ve just been able now to check it out I must say that it was worth the wait! A really diverse menu - we opted for the Summer Rolls (think Vietnamese spring rolls), Nim Salad, and the Cubano Sandwich. Service was warm and attentive (they even brought a bowl of water for our small dog). Food was artfully plated and quite delicious. Nice selection of wines by the glass as well. Of course we couldn’t pass up the warm brownie with vanilla ice cream for dessert! Reasonable prices. Highly recommended. We shall return!

I highly recommend sitting on the patio. This is our second visit in 2 weeks. We’ve had the Lamb burritos (my partner went a second time just for this), pork soupe, Mediterranean fish, lasagna (big enough for 2), caeser salad (this I would give 4 stars), beet salad, pork tenderloin (ordered twice) and Chicken with mushroom gravy. All delicious. Service is also amazing.

Nice space with local artists’ work on the walls, delicious, creative entrees and otherworldly cocktails. Salads are fresh and dinner-sized, shareable. Very reasonable prices considering the quality and service; Karen was a fantastic server.

Absolutely fresh and delicious. I met a friend for lunch and loved the food so much, I returned with my husband for dinner. And we dug into the food so fast, I completely forgot to take pictures. 😜

Food was great, nice size portions and decent price, I was expecting a little bit more of the french onion sup not as thick as it was but liked the flavor though. Meat was fresh and cooked to perfection. I do recommend the place for a casual after work dinner.

We went twice. Once at brunch and again for dinner another night. The food is outstanding! The service is fabulous. The atmosphere was a bit loud but otherwise clean and bright! We had eggs Benedict, shrimp pasta, chicken mole, catch of the day. Everything was cooked perfectly and so full of flavour! The presentation was beautiful! They served meals with lot of fresh cooked vegetable. We had cream brûlée and carrot cake for dessert. The wine as excellent! No photos of the chicken and fish as we were quite excited to eat! Haha

We decided to try Nim after seeing all the good reviews online and it was one of the few restaurants that lived up to the hype. For drinks we got the tamarind and maracaya Mezcalitas which well both good followed by a michelada which was also good. For the food we got the shrimp ceviche which was so delicious that we ended up getting a 2nd order, 10/10. We also got the scallop aguachile which wasn't as good but still ok, 7/10. The tuna tartare was better though, 9/10. The bone marrow was served with tortillas instead of toast. It was good but was missing something, salt maybe, 7/10. For dessert we the brownie with ice cream which was as expected, 8/10. The flan was a tiny portion but delicious, 9/10. The baklava was the star of the desserts. It was three pieces and also came with a scoop of ice cream, 10/10. Service was good and the atmosphere was fine for this dinner.

Bismarkcito is a bustling restaurant located on the La Paz malecon, offering a lively seaside terrace. The restaurant features a high thatched roof and an array of tables overlooking the sea. Known for its fresh seafood, Bismarkcito offers two menus - one dedicated to fish tacos including their renowned smoked marlin, and another with a wide selection of grilled surf and turf dishes.
We spent two weeks in La Paz trying all the restaurants along the Malecón only to come back again and again to the Bismark. We highly recommend our waiters, Kevin and Jose Louis, they welcomed us warmly, helped us with our Spanish, remembered our drink preferences and always provided great service with lots of smiles. Go early on Sundays, it’s the only day they serve paella mariscos ($250), it’s a huge portion you might want to share and it’s amazing! Their seafood dishes are the best, their prices are reasonable and they provided the quickest and friendliest service on the Malecón.

Ramon took care of us with utmost care! He ensured there that our orders were perfect and that we had a great dining experience. The chef did a great job preparing our food. It was delicious! We also had front row seats to the most amazing views on the bay. We’ll be back!

Portion sizes are huge (big enough for 1 plate to be shared for 2 people), food is very delicious though! The grilled octopus was amazing, it came with such a flavour burst rice and good vegetables. Fish ceviche had no juice and was similar to a tuna salad. Had a beautiful view of the sunset!!

We were greeted by Rodney our bartender who made us perfect drinks and made us feel welcomed. We only had drinks but will come back later for food. Fresh squeezed fruit for cocktails. We came back for dinner, our server was great but most of our food was just average, a real disappointment. They also ran out of wine by the class, red and white?

This spot is, without a doubt, my favorite place to relax on the Malecón of La Paz. It’s more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. The food is incredible, the cerveza is ice-cold, and the staff works together like a well-oiled machine, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Tacos Camerone (shrimp tacos) are a must-try, especially with a stop at the side bar to pile on your favorite toppings. But the true showstopper? The Ostionas a La Leña—fire-roasted oysters that are simply unforgettable. They take time to roast to perfection, but that just gives you an excuse to sit back, sip your drink, and soak in the breathtaking view of the Sea of Cortez. If you’re in La Paz, don’t just visit—linger, savor, and let the moment become a memory.

I love the restaurant’s setting. Very relaxing with the beautiful ocean spread in front of us. I love that their salsa bar included a lot more than other places we went to. Unfortunately the lobster taco was very tough and I couldn’t eat

This restaurant is a fantastic spot with an unbeatable location, always buzzing with people. The food is solid, and their empanadas—only available at lunch—are a must-try! The service can be slow, but it’s always friendly, which makes the wait more bearable. Be prepared for a crowd, as it’s a popular choice, but the lively atmosphere is part of the charm. Great for a lunch stop if you’re in the area!

The term "Hambrusia" refers to a special kind of hunger that goes beyond mere sustenance. The restaurant offers a variety of tacos with unique flavor combinations categorized by protein type. Guests can enjoy exquisite Mexican small plates with an Asian twist, complemented by craft beer and handcrafted cocktails.
Excellent service and wonderful selection of Mexican fusion dishes, craft cocktails, and beers. I went twice because I loved it so much. Would have gone thrice except they were closed for the holiday. The mezcal-based Margarita Ancestral was refreshing after a long, hot day in the sun - and it’s part of their happy hour offerings from 6-8pm. Food was tasty and made with quality ingredients. Outside seating for sunset is a must.

I don't know if it was an off night or business as usual, but the experience was disappointing. The food took a long time, despite the place being empty. Service wasn't great (e.g., never asked how we wanted the burgers cooked, didn't check in after the food came, didnt ask if we wanted another drink). The place was empty although the Malecon was bustling. The food was only okay, my burger was more bun than burger. Overall just underwhelming, especially for the price.

La Ambrusia in La Paz, BCS, offers an exceptional dining experience that blends creativity with traditional flavors. From the moment you step in, the restaurant impresses with its cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, making the dining experience seamless. We started our culinary journey with the Taco Tripulpo, a delightful surprise of octopus with tripitas. The unexpected combination delivered a burst of flavors that was both unique and satisfying. The presentation was impeccable, and the taste was simply excellent. Next, we indulged in Mei Mei, featuring pork belly topped with a tantalizing mix of Teriyaki sauce, served on a delicate flower tortilla. This dish offered a fusion of flavors that delighted the palate, showcasing the chef's skill in blending different tastes into a harmonious dish. For the main course, we savored their signature burger and fries. The meat was incredibly flavorful, complemented perfectly by the pesto and meticulously cut French fries that were crispy and delicious. Each bite was a testament to the chef's dedication to quality and taste. Overall, La Ambrusia deserves a perfect score of 10 out of 10. The restaurant not only delivers on taste but also on presentation and ambiance. It's a place where every dish tells a story of creativity and passion for food. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore unique flavors in a welcoming environment.

This restaurant has good vegetarian options. After reading the reviews we thought we would give this place a shot. We ordered beef tacos nachos burgers beet tacos tuna tostada and fried shrimp happy. The burgers were fantastic however the fries were over done and super thin. The beef tacos were not served hot and were Luke warm by the time they got to the table. Nachos had good flavor however the chicken on them was cubed and obviously reheated and hard. The tuna tostada things were okay....the best tacos were great. Service was wonderful. Great atmosphere.

While renowned for its grilled meats, Asadero Rancho Viejo also impresses with its seafood offerings, including delicious fish tacos topped with fried peppers and onions.
Best deal quality/price. The staff treated us as Royals, filling us with delicious treats and attention to our picky requests. I liked very much to have my meal with table cloth and beautiful pottery plates. Of course the food and ingredients were outstanding. Eventually we came here three times during our vacation. I will miss this very much. The location on the street is not the best, but tables are nice and the chairs are very comfortable. Floors and bathrooms spotless.

Yummmm you could almost make a meal out of the salsa side plate they bring out before your meal. 😉 Food was good. The Carne asda was a bit chewy and grisly but the lengua ( tongue) was very tender. Flavors were good. Cocktails were good. Looks like a relaxed locals spot. I trust the locals. 😊

The Filete de pescado al ajo was delicious, but the service left much to be desired. Upon arriving, I waited over 5 minutes just to get a menu, and after finishing my meal, I struggled to find someone to request the bill. Eventually, I had to go to the counter to pay. Unfortunately, I later realized I had been charged 298 pesos instead of 238 pesos. I’m unsure whether the cashier added a 25% tip without my consent or simply entered the wrong amount, but discovering this on my bank statement after returning home was deeply disappointing. I didn't take a physical receipt, so I couldn’t verify or contest the overcharge, but this experience felt incredibly disrespectful. Overcharging customers, whether intentional or not, is unacceptable. It overshadowed what could have been a great dining experience.

Hoped for better 🥴 Margaritas were okay, ribs were dry, & shrimp were cooked fine, the butter used for the dish tasted like 'movie theater butter'.

We went on a Tuesday early evening, it was quiet with some locals and also a group of tourists. The waiter was friendly and food was tasty! Meat on el pastor and chorizo was a little gristly but the gringa was delicious. Mango cake very nice. Recommend for any kind of taco you wish for. Also the central plate comes to all tables as standard! Guacamole especial was tasty

We were excited to try Sorstis from the web, and photos. Unfortunately disappointing. Cocktails were good, but when food came out , the flys were so bad you had to shouu, them away to take a bite. Seafood linguine overcooked, not linguine, but spaghetti. Half way through the meal waiter finally brought out a can to burn rosemary and lime to help keep them away. 😩. Bathrooms filed with flys , they should put several in there, and clean them. Not likely to go back!

This has to be the best restaurant in La Paz. If it's not, it's definitely up there on the podium. Our family was seated after a short 3-5 minutes wait. The waiter made his introduction and started off with water. Provided a quick rundown of the specials as well as offering his recommendations. Gave us plenty of time to decide. Foods came out looking great and the taste was excellent. We enjoyed every dishes that were brought out. Between the fresh squeezed orange juice and mixed alcoholic drinks, it was a very enjoyable night. Definitely an elevated dining experience that we did not think existed in La Paz. Summary: The combinations of a great setting, with excellent services and foods, at a very manageable price make this a must place to visit!
J T — Google review
It was the second time I have eaten there. I will not be back. The first time, a year ago was fine. This time I was joined by a friend. Both of us have had careers in hotels and restaurants in the US, Switzerland and Italy. The service was manipulative and obnoxious, the food just OK and the prices much higher than justified by the quality provided. These things that stuck out: The waiter made stupid gestures and expressions that may have meant to be charming in a petulant sort of way, but came off as disrespectful. The wine list was over-priced. And they were out of many things. After they said they did not have the first two wines I selected, they insisted I follow another staff member to the wine room, located in a small private dining room, which was occupied by diners at the time. I was forced to squeeze behind their chairs while they ate to get to the wine room door that could barely open due to the tight quarters, where I was presented with the most expensive of their wines, most costing 3x - 4x more than the ones I had tried to order sitting comfortably at our table. No price list was provided and so I was expected/encouraged to select blindly while my friend sat alone. When it was time to pay I used a card and in Mexico you are given the option to manually select a gratuity percentage from the handheld device. I noticed that the obnoxious waiter had scrolled down to the bottom of the screen so the options for 5% or 10% were no longer visible, only the option for 15% or more. There is no excuse for greedy and contemptuous service like this. Avoid this place.

OMG everything we had was AMAZING 👏 Our server Lorenzo? was super nice, even though it was close to closing time. Prices were also great for the quality they put out. Family of 6 went out and EVERYTHING was amazing. This contemporary grill in La Paz is known for its traditional seafood dishes with a modern twist. The chef, Carlos Valdez, proudly presents up to 20 varieties of shrimp on the menu, including chocolate, butterfly and chili pepper shrimp. He is originally from Sonora in Mexico, so you'll also find preparations like rib-eye tacos with jalapeno sauce on the menu.
This has been hands down one of the best meals of my life. The rib eye taco was the best and I ended up ordering a second because it was so good. The catch of the day sashimi, clam and scallop aguachile and huge fresh oysters were also incredible. And the cocktails!!! Light, refreshing and smoky, we tried a few different ones and each was amazing! I will definitely come back, also our server was very helpful with recommendations and very friendly with perfect English. I can’t remember our servers name but he was the handsome bald man! Everyone should go here when in La Paz !!

They have a relatively small menu compared to other restaurants. The restaurant is hidden in a little corner. The hostess was not very friendly. The server was friendly enough. Ordered the wagyu hamburger and the tuna tartare. The burger was good! When paying, the hostess asked if we wanted a tip and we said 5% given that service was subpar but then she asked for 10% instead which was bit jarring.

This was one of my favorite meals in my life, im a chef, and i can tell you that this restaurant is 100% underrated. Definitely, this is the best restaurant in all baja California, i drove over 2 hours just to be able to have this amazing experience. It was worth trying every single dish. cocktails were amazing as well together with the customer service
Aaron M — Google review
As someone who has dined extensively in Baja California Sur, I walked into Tatanka with high expectations, only to leave deeply disappointed. The evening began with service that can only be described as painfully slow. Even by La Paz standards, the delay was excessive: menus were dropped off and forgotten, and it took over 15 minutes—only after we insisted—for someone to take our order. Throughout the meal, service remained inattentive. We poured our own wine, staff never checked if we needed anything, and the general execution was disorganized. To make matters worse, we could clearly hear someone in the kitchen literally shouting, “I need these plates out to the tables, now!”—a sign of poor coordination behind the scenes that reflected exactly what we experienced at our table. The only redeeming dish of the night was the Rockefort Oysters—flavorful, well-prepared, and a glimpse of what Tatanka could be if the rest of the menu matched that standard. Unfortunately, everything else fell flat. Entrées and mains arrived out of order, with the main dishes hitting the table before the starters. The tartare of the catch of the day arrived without bread or tostadas until we asked—an amateur oversight for a restaurant in this price range. Worse yet, the tartare itself was bland, dominated by mayonnaise, with fish that tasted neither fresh nor handled with care. It had the unmistakable texture of seafood that has been frozen, thawed, and refrozen. Heavy, unbalanced, and ultimately inedible. The lobster mac and cheese was equally disappointing—a monotone dish lacking richness, tasting more of shrimp than lobster, with nothing memorable about it. The lobster burger was dry, uninspired, and poorly composed, with the lobster itself indistinguishable under heavy seasoning and limp vegetables, and a bun that was dry and slightly tough. Worst of all, the potato wedges served alongside were soggy, oily, and rancid—like they had been fried in recycled oil. These, too, were left uneaten. Tatanka positions itself as one of the most expensive restaurants in La Paz, and with such steep prices one expects quality ingredients, thoughtful execution, and attentive service. Instead, what we experienced was mediocre food and inattentive staff—standards far below even the seafood sold from street vendors, which often offer fresher and more satisfying meals at a fraction of the cost. We decided to dine here based on a glowing recommendation from El Arturito on TikTok, but after our experience it’s hard to believe those endorsements are genuine. What we encountered was a restaurant living off hype rather than delivering on quality. Sadly, for a place with such potential, this was one of the poorest dining experiences I’ve had in La Paz. Verdict: Not recommended.
Roberto L — Google review
Excellent place! High level restaurant, I will give 6 stars not 5 to the chefs and the rest of personal . Visited this place 4 times, was ordering seafood always. Tuna tartar , oysters embarazados, almejas trufadas, sashimi and pesca del dia - all super fresh and delicious . My favorite is Tuna tartar. Going to come back here to try the rest of menu. Great choice of wines.

We’ve made a tour with our chef friends in Mexico City and La Paz, and let me tell you Tatanka was one of the best restaurants we’ve been too. Their cocktails are amazing!! I got passion fruit mezcalita that was made with fresh passion fruits. Then we had clams and oysters - OMG!!! We were crying. Their lobster mac and cheese - mind blowing. Tacos - bone marrow or fish - mind blowing. Service - sooo kind and nice waiters. Always running around, changing our plates, smiling, and attending all our requests right away. This was a full experience for us. Thanks to the whole team behind Tatanka ❤️

While it's considered somewhat touristy, the food is still delicious. The restaurant is part of a chain with locations in other cities as well.
Excellent food. Good service and nice location. You can see the ocean from the terrace. The menu is quite large with a lot of choice. The seafood is fresh and super tasty. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the good service. After the meal you only walk 3 minutes into heart of the town and onto Malecon

We visited for an early dinner after a long day traveling from the east coast of the US. Location is great, the restaurant has a non assuming character with affordable pricing. Seating was easily available. We started with margaritas- they were really nice and a big size without much added sugar or any weird orange flavors you sometimes get in the US. The lime flavor was perfect. The menu had many options but we chose using our local friend. I chose a taco paceño shrimp that locals favor. My wife had grilled octopus and grilled shrimp tacos. My empanadas were great. We also tried the onion rings but were a bit disappointed with the amount of oil… a large dish with too much oil can lead to discomfort later ;) The salsa bar had his selections for topping off the tacos. I heard that sometimes they have onion rings at that bar and maybe tasting one or two is enough. The main dishes were great, pricing was even better!! I highly recommend. 👍 if you find this useful

Wow! We absolutely loved this place. They have so many different options for seafood tacos. We tried the scallop, crispy fish, and crispy shrimp as well as a shrimp empanada with cheese. It did not disappoint! Huge pieces of shrimp, freshest scallops I’ve had. The empanada was ridiculous almost the size of my forearm. The condiment bar was beautiful, so many different salsas, and veggies to make the tacos even better. We enjoyed it so much we ended up eating here twice. La Paz has been an amazing foodie trip we were not let down once which is quite rare.

We had an absolutely fantastic lunch at Claros Fish Jr. today! The food was truly delicious – we especially enjoyed the seafood dish baked in foil (the one with the octopus, shrimp, and fish was incredible!). Every bite was fresh and flavorful. But beyond the amazing food, the service truly stood out. Our server was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful dining experience. It's clear they take pride in their food and their customers. We highly recommend Claros Fish Jr. if you're in La Paz and looking for a superb seafood meal with top-notch service!

The food, ambience, and drinks are good. Nothing over the top or extraordinary. They did have a salsa, toppings, and condiments bar. It was very good, but I have concerns for food safety. It wasn't very busy, but it might be a problem if the restaurant gets crowded. I would recommend that they have extra fans because it gets very hot in July. The servers were helpful, again, nothing extraordinary. The restrooms do need some upgrades. The restaurant does not have parking, but there is street parking available, sometimes. . If I were in La Paz again, I would choose another restaurant for a better view. Prices were comparable to other restaurants in the vicinity.

Nestled just outside the historic downtown of La Paz, NEMI is a culinary gem that beautifully showcases the flavors of Baja California Sur. This cozy fine dining establishment offers a dynamic menu featuring 15 innovative dishes that change weekly, ensuring each visit brings something new to savor. Renowned for its creative Mexican cuisine, NEMI sources local ingredients to craft mouthwatering plates like miso-marinated grilled shrimp and slow-roasted pork picanha.
I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant today. Every dish was bursting with authentic Mexican flavors, using local ingredients that were paired creatively by the chef. Every bite was delicious, especially the beef tacos and the tuna seasoned with Mexican spices. The service was outstanding, with staff taking the time to explain the inspiration and design behind each dish. I learned so much about local Mexican cuisine and gourmet combinations. This meal far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

In my very honest opinion, the price is simply just not worth it (1500 pesos for the 6 course tasting menu + automatic 200 for water). The ambiance is cool but nothing spectacular . The service is good . The food is good , some plates however were pretty average. I'm not a cheap diner but I do feel I want my experience to match the bill. Best from the menu when I was there was the risotto and desserts, very tasty.

Came here for dinner on Wednesday in March 2025. Require reservation. Such a great restaurant! We ordered seven course tasting menu. Each course was an amazing, unique and interesting. Especially loved the short rib with banana purée and chocolate sauce and the Jerusalem artichoke cream soup. The service and presentation were Michelin quality. In fact better than many Michelin restaurants we tried in the UK or elsewhere. Thank you for the meal.

Wow! This place is truly unique. Their menu offers two options, both of which change every week: a 5-course meal or a 9-course meal, with the option to add wine pairings. We chose the 9-course meal with wine pairings, and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions of each entrée. I will add a picture of the menu and our dishes. Nothing short of amazing. We enjoyed every bite. Our favorite - if we had to pick one - was the Clams and Setas Mushroom with butter, lime & cilantro. (Chocolate clams in a garlic butter sauce that was exquisite.) Every dish was a harmonized blend of flavors that pleased our palates. I can not say enough about the service and attention to detail. We are grateful to have experienced Nemi. Chef Alejandro's dishes were flawless! Andres was incredibly attentive, passionate, and thorough, explaining each wine pairing in detail and sharing the unique origins of every wine.

Best vegan/vegetarian fine dining experience of my life! Our reservation ended up not making it into the system, but the staff were incredibly gracious and made sure we were taken care of. We were able to select the 10 course vegan/vegetarian menu with wine pairings, and were literally blown away by each course. The level of care that went into making not only delicious but engaging, unique, and complex vegan dishes with all local ingredients will never cease to amaze me. We couldn’t stop gushing to the wait staff about how incredible every single course was, and they all were incredibly gracious and even brought out the chef so we could thank him in person for giving us such an unforgettable dining experience. Every single member of the staff was lovely and attentive and made us feel incredibly welcome. I will be talking about this meal for the rest of my life! Cannot recommend enough!!

One of the best meals I've had not only in La Paz but in all of Mexico and all of my travels! I'm not sure why Nemi doesn't have a Michelin star yet. If you come to LA Paz, you have to come to Nemi...or you didn't really try La Paz!

The food was absolutely amazing. Easily a top three dinner experience I’ve had in my whole life. Andres was an amazing host and expertly described the dishes and why they were special. Any time my wife and I are in La Paz we shall return. Just a wonderful experience from start to finish.

I had a vegetarian tasting menu and hubby had the usual. We both loved it. My favorite dish was the vegetarian aguachile which was freaking spicy and packed with flavor. I also liked the first salad course and goat cheese appetizer. Again both were packed with flavor. The complimentary chocolate cake they gave for our anniversary was also delicious. I enjoyed the NEMI cocktail and hubby liked his wine pairing. It’s a small place and they only do tasting menu so make a reservation and spoil yourself.

Mc Fisher is a local culinary gem in La Paz, offering a true taste of the region with its fresh and fried dishes. The owner, Mirsha Macklis, infuses surf vibes into the restaurant's ambiance and menu, ensuring a hearty and authentic experience. Whether you're returning from a surf session or a snorkeling trip, Mc Fisher's hearty soups, fresh appetizers, fish tacos, and burritos are not to be missed.
Best cevice and fish tacos we’ve ever had! Came here twice during my stay in la paz. Very worth it! The service and the margaritas were perfect too.

We had an amazing meal at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was incredibly warm and welcoming. One of the great things about this place is that you can see the chefs cooking nearby, preparing the dishes with great skill and care. Their guacamole and seafood were outstanding—so fresh and flavorful. The octopus, in particular, was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. It was tender, slightly sticky in texture, yet still pleasantly chewy and packed with flavor. The prices were also very reasonable, making it a fantastic value. We stopped by for a quick lunch, but we left feeling completely satisfied. Highly recommend this place!

This is my favorite seafood place where I go with locals and love sharing with visitors. Mirsha Macklis, the owner, as well as other staff (Ariel, Lupita, Eric, and the chef, Tita, and more that I don't remember) are all phenomenal. They welcome you in English, if you're not comfortable with Spanish, and willingly answer all your questions. I've never had anything that was just mediocre but, my absolute favorite is to get the catch of the day as a "grilled fish fillet" with the side of vegetables. In fact, their veggies (which actually include slices of pear and apple in a light soy-based sauce) are so delicious I often ask for a double portion. The grilled fish fillet option comes with a topping of feta cheese and some other magic. The fish portions are large and perfectly grilled (I've often split the dish with a friend, just getting more of the veggies). They provide MANY condiments to choose from (like your own personal condiments bar). If your hearing is sensitive, I recommend seating in the "side room" (if it's dark, don't worry.... they'll gladly turn on the lights and/or fan for you), as the acoustics aren't the best in the main seating area and local musicians will occasionally come and perform with their own equipment for tips. Although I enjoy the music, it can be hard to hear conversations in that room. Go try McFisher's. They've been around for several decades and are a true Paceño institution. Ask Mirsha about his family history. You'll be glad you did.

Mack Fisher is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for a great dining experience. The food was exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations, adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Whether you're out for a casual meal or a special occasion, Mack Fisher delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended!

Was recommended by another guest at our hotel as having the best fish tacos in town... These folks did not disappoint the fried fish and shrimp tacos were superb! My better half loved the grilled shrimp tacos as well. The service was spot on and friendly, even to a couple of spanish challenged gringos ;) Don't miss it!

Great Food and Friendly Service We had a great dinner here. The food was really tasty, and the staff gave us some excellent recommendations. Service was very friendly and professional — and the staff spoke great English, which made things easy. The atmosphere is relaxed and modern, with a cool, laid-back vibe. The seafood dishes were a real highlight — full of flavor and unlike anything we’ve had before. Prices are very fair for the quality. We’ll definitely be back — even if it means having dinner a bit earlier (the kitchen closes at 5:20 PM, so we made a 5:00 PM reservation). Well worth it.

This is a nice airport, easy in easy out. They have a restaurant that does serve beer, wine and cocktails but it limited and many items on the menu were unavailable during this visit
Steve M — Google review
The nice thing about small airports is that everything is quick and painless. A few bottle necks with crowds but tends to be easy going. After check-in there is only one VIP lounge and one open restaurant. Also a small gift shop. Around 30 mins from the city.
Jose G — Google review
Small and efficient airport. No long lines. Several domestic flights daily.
S — Google review
Yes, it’s a small airport. But it’s clean, efficient, and way closer than dragging yourself down to Cabo. If you really need a Señor Frog in your life, be my guest—burn a few hours on the highway and call it “vacation.” For the rest of us, this spot works. Security is quick, baggage isn’t a nightmare, and you’re in and out without the circus. Priority Pass lounge? Check. Customs? More like a polite nod on your way out. Sure, more flight options would be nice, but let’s not kid ourselves—airports in mid-sized cities are all playing the same game. This one does the job, plain and simple.

No other transportation other than Taxi is available. 400 mxn to the center is quite expensive for the short distance. DiDi works well from the hotel back to the airport. It was 180 mxn (cash). I tried to see if DiDi works from the airport again - they probably control the connection at the airport. The app kinda froze, but the booking went through. If you speak Spanish and have a number for them to reach, it should work. But the message didn’t work on my app so I couldn’t make it work because I don’t speak/understand Spanish.

The airport itself is good there’s nothing structurally wrong or obstacles hindering travel. The four years I’ve lived here and traveling often the airport itself has not been a problem. The real problem is with individual airlines, taxis, and government employees. For example, immigration asked for my passport which they’re legally entitled to do however, they’re not entitled to take a photo of it with their PERSONAL cell phone to upload into a group chat. Thankfully my lawyer was picking me up so we went back inside and they politely informed the immigration agent what they’re legally allowed to do then we watched him delete the photos from his personal device and group chat. Volaris is one of the primary airlines and I used to strictly fly Volaris until this year when they stopped doing their anniversary discounts to some of the best cities and are also no longer the budget airline as they’re more expensive than Viva and AeroMexico.

Convenient small airport and quick services. Be ready to face the hot sun and high temperatures

Is an abuse and monopolization about the transportation only by taxi and charges 1 person a lot, no uber, no bus, anything.
