Amusement park

Longstanding fun park reopened in 2004 after redevelopment, including a big top & a Ferris wheel.

Luna Park Sydney is an incredibly fun and vibrant place to visit. The mix of classic rides and modern attractions gives it a unique charm, and the harbour views make the whole experience even more special. The park is clean, well-run, and full of energy, with great atmosphere both day and night. Whether you’re there for the rides, the lights, or the nostalgia, it’s a super cool spot that always feels lively and memorable.
Sydney’s Luna Park – A Disappointing Experience From a distance, Luna Park in Sydney looks attractive and well-located, but once you get closer, the reality is very different. The park is squeezed between residential flats, and the overall atmosphere feels cramped and uninviting. When we visited, several of the main rides — at least four to five — were closed without any prior notice. Despite paying around $150 for tickets, we felt the money was completely wasted. On top of that, we had purchased additional tickets for some games, but when we saw them up close, it became clear that the games were overpriced and not worth the money. One of the biggest disappointments was the management’s attitude. When we asked about the closed rides, the staff gave vague, roundabout answers instead of providing clear information. At one point, a ride even stopped operating while people were still on it. The riders were taken off, and when we asked what happened, the only explanation we got was: “It’s closed for today.” When we asked when it would reopen, there was no proper answer. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing visit. Both our time and money were wasted. If you are planning to visit Sydney as a tourist, it’s better not to even bother going near Luna Park. It looks appealing from afar, but once inside, it fails to meet even basic expectations of an amusement park.
Very fun day out with lots to see and do! We ran out of time to see everything, you really need a whole day there to enjoy all the rides. I would have given 5 stars if there was more rides available for the 'red ticket' holders (generally 3-4 year olds) and if the park had some sort of lockers available to store your things in. Don't buy any food here if you can avoid it....it's pretty expensive and make sure you catch the ferry over. It's much quicker than trekking back up the hill to the train station.
O wow what a unbelievably amazing amusement Park, must go and I would suggest take a longer pass coz you would want to go again and again. Big Dipper is amazing thrilling ride, so is wild mouse. And as soon as you enter there is a rotor one. Do try that it's simply wow the feel in that ride, make sure not to eat too much and it's going to make you feel light headed. Enjoy and enjoyyyyyyyy
You know there is a 4 hours Halloween ticketed event with entertainment everywhere you go and amazing staff keeping you entertained and shows. - so instead of grabbing grabbing a popcorn and enjoy the vibe you decide to waste your night by standing in lines and wait for a ride and miss out on the whole idea of the hallowscream then come back here and post a 1 star review. go do rides on another day when you have time - i enjoyed my night here and i wanna do it again next year And by the way i did 4 rides Thank you luna park
It was great but it was warm best time for a look around is midweek not too many people and then catch the ferry to darling / hbr. Great and stay on and go back to the quay 5 stops for $5. Good value.
Great place, wortg a visit with kids for fun and amazing views. Food is not bad and the waiting time is average for a teame park. Can get around with a pram and a fair amount of rides for little ones as well.
Biggest waste of money ever. This place should be renamed “sorry, not in service”. Half the arcade games don’t work. Half the rides are closed. At least all of the “carnival” prize games were open..well of course they were so they could rip you off some more with dodgy scams and literally pay to win big prizes now..want a a big toy? You literally will need to fork out for 10’s of games to accumulate enough points. Best of all, after ordering and paying online, was told at the gate that our child with a cast can go on nothing..can I get a refund? Of course I can’t, because I should have read the website.. found it, 5 pages down hidden away. Thanks Luna park. Proper carneys ripping you off blind 👏 👏 never again

This is the place I want to visit whether I’m feeling down or joyful — a sanctuary that purifies the soul. Like the name, it’s a secret garden by the bay, it opens up into wide, breathtaking views of Sydney’s skyline, harbor, sailboats, and landscape. It’s a spot that truly clears your mind: you can take a peaceful 20-minute stroll through the garden and along the water, or spend two hours simply sitting by the shore, soaking in the scenery. An absolutely perfect place to relax and unwind.
The entrance can be a little hard to find but definitely worth looking for. It is close to Milsons Point or North Sydney train station. The garden itself has some beautiful spots, some hidden to have something to eat and drink or to just take in the beauty of the garden. The plant life and trees are both interesting and beautiful. There are some interesting statues, and Wendy’s house is lovely. It is situated right by the train line with glimpses of the harbour. it is not advisable for people with walking disabilities as there are a number of stairs and some of them are quite rugged. this really is a beautiful garden and definitely worth visiting. Oh, and look out for the bush turkeys as they will try and steal your food.
This is a quiet and calm environment who seeks to escape from busy city vibes. The garden is full of green and it is a beautiful place to be in the evenings. Can be accessed easily by public transport. And you can see a nice angle of the harbour bridge.
Nice little garden that you can visit, walk around enjoying nature and also has a good view toward the iconic building of Sydney. There are few areas that have chairs, tables, rocks to sit on and enjoy the view which is pretty nice to have. The garden is well maintained.
Wendy’s Secret Garden is a very special and meaningful place. You can really feel the love and devotion behind it. The garden is full of life, with plants growing freely and creating a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere. It’s a beautiful spot to slow down and reflect. Just be prepared — the paths can be a little overgrown in some areas, but that’s also part of its natural charm. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate quiet places with a story behind them.
A beautiful place of tranquility and quiet enjoyment. Visiting in the rain was particularly delightful. You will need to be able to climb stairs to visit. Highly recommended.
Spectacular views on the short walk from the Milson Point ferry wharf. Just head off around the harbour side of Luna Park. The gardens have plenty of places to sit and relax and many short walking trails.
I have to give the survive star because of all the effort the volunteers have made to bring you something special out of an ordinary piece of land it's really beautiful what they've done and they've worked so hard it is a very good example of what can be done with volunteers the gift of their time

The location in North Sydney is excellent. It feels as if you're in the quiet suburbs, and not in a major part of a capital city. The room cleanliness was outstanding, and it's not often you can say that. Rooms are spacious, climate controlled, blackout curtains and a fridge, Great staff. If attending conferences / events in South Sydney at the ICC (Darling Harbour etc), this is good location to head out from each day with a little bit of planning. Train from North Sydney can save you a lot of money in cab fees etc, you don't need an Opal card as a short-term visitor, as they support debit/credit card NFC to tag-on / off the Sydney trains. The property has a secured garage for hire cars also. --- The only additions I could think of, is a shared microwave somewhere, and a filtered water fountain to fill up at.
A wonderfully serene stay in the heart of North Sydney. Only a short stroll to the trains, beaches, shopping etc. My room was very clean with modern amenities. I also appreciate the friendly staff and complimentary brekky. Loved visiting the beautiful chapel for prayers and mass as well. All in all, top notch!
Mary Mackillop Place is an ideal location to stay when in Sydney. Located in the heart of commercial North Sydney, it is perfect to be the base for visiting any place in Sydney and surrounds. It is situated a four minute walk from North Sydney train station and within easy downhill walking distance of Milsons Point Wharf. The Greenwood Mall has a variety of eateries and a super market. (Be aware that the mall is closed on Sundays!) Situated within the busy North Sydney area, it is an oasis of calm and peace. The grounds and buildings are immaculate. Sitting in the serene gardens is idyllic. The history of Mary Mackillop and the sisters is respectfully outlined in the information boards throughout the complex. The accomodation in Anderledy Lodge is modern, spotless and comfortable with all amenities provided that one would expect. The daily breakfast provisions in the dining room were outstanding. Plenty of choice to cater for all tastes. Highly recommended.
Certainly a very peaceful and serene place of worship Love the peacefulness and very clean. The gardens are a great place to relax or simply bring your picnic lunch and spen the day. Must do is the museum I hoped in yo see the dining area.. Certainly very impressive dining where breakfast is served. Parking can be costly as with any place in North Sydney
Great location for accommodation in North Sydney. Clean comfortable quiet and affordable. Close to railway station.
We have spent a few breaks in Sydney staying at the tranquil well located and well appointed hotel which has everything you would expect for its rating. Perhaps a microwave and some plates and cutlery in each room would be nice as most patrons will be eating some of their meals in their room even if it is takeaway.
Really enjoyed our stay, great location, good price and large, nice rooms. Good staff too.
What a gem. Stumbled across Mary MacKillop Place when an emergency meant that I was looking for accommodation at 11pm. Staff are very friendly, helpful and able to find a room within a few minutes. Accommodation is renovated, clean, tidy, thoughtful. Lovely surprise that breakfast is included provided the price of the accommodation. Great location - easy to get around. Special thank you to Andres at front desk for going the extra mile. Will certainly be back.

Blues Point Reserve is an absolute gem and a must-visit for anyone in Sydney! I walked nearly 3 kilometers from St. Leonard’s on a wet, windy, and drizzling day, and despite the weather, the experience was unforgettable. The panoramic view from the reserve is nothing short of breathtaking. You get a stunning perspective of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the iconic Opera House, Luna Park, and the towering skyline of Barangaroo—all in one frame! Even in the rain, the beauty of this spot shines through, and I can only imagine how magical it must look on a clear day. It’s a serene escape from the city, perfect for photographers, nature lovers, or anyone who wants to soak in Sydney’s iconic landmarks. Blues Point Reserve is definitely worth the walk, rain or shine!
Amazing place with Instagram worthy view. A peaceful, serene environment with clean facilities and space for events. You will usually see weddings or birthday parties happening at this place. Perfect place for a dream proposal 😌 If you keep walking you can find spot to yourself and enjoy the view. Can see amazing sunset and appreciate the Harbour Bridge view with Opera house or be on the other side and appreciate the Skyline. Nice quiet place with plenty of autonomy. Hard place to find parking on a busy or sunny day or on weekend. Can look around for street parking though.
Blues Point Reserve is one of my favorite places. People come for walks, picnics, weddings and other celebrations; and mainly to admire the views of the Sydney icons - the Harbour Bridge and Opera House over the ocean. Beautiful place to visit!
Blues Point Reserve is a stunning spot to catch the sunset, with panoramic views that feel like Sydney showing off. As the sky turns golden, you’re treated to a perfect lineup: the Harbour Bridge standing proud, the Opera House glowing softly across the water, and Luna Park twinkling with playful charm. It’s peaceful, romantic, and effortlessly cinematic — a moment that makes you fall in love with the city all over again.
This spot offers a perfect view of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and city skyline all in one. Also a nice walk along the water a great way to take in Sydney. Highly recommend!
Blues Point Reserve Blues Point Reserve is, without a doubt, one of Sydney's premier vantage points. Located on the northern side of the harbor, this peaceful park in McMahons Point offers a breathtaking and perfectly framed view of the city's icons that is hard to beat. 🌟 The View: Unparalleled Sydney Icons The main draw is the spectacular panoramic view. From the grassy knoll, you get a full, head-on vista of: The Sydney Harbour Bridge (its western side). The Sydney Opera House (its sails gleaming across the water). The City Skyline twinkling beautifully both day and night. It’s an absolute must-visit for photographers, especially during sunrise or, more popularly, sunset. The light hitting the Opera House and the city as the sun goes down is truly magical. 🌳 Atmosphere and Facilities The reserve is a well-maintained space perfect for relaxation: Picnics & Leisure: Plenty of open, lush green space under the shade of mature fig trees makes it an ideal spot for a picnic, a lazy Sunday afternoon, or a romantic date. Family-Friendly: There is a delightful maritime-themed playground that is a huge hit with younger children, bringing Sydney's nautical history to life. Walks: Pleasant walking paths trace the waterfront, offering additional scenic views of the harbor and neighboring suburbs. 🤔 Key Considerations Crowds: While peaceful on a regular day, be prepared for it to get very crowded, especially on weekends, sunny days, and certainly for major events like New Year's Eve fireworks, where it is one of the most sought-after (and managed) viewing points. Parking: Finding parking nearby can be challenging due to its residential location, so public transport (ferry to McMahons Point or walk from North Sydney Station) is highly recommended. Food/Drink: It is primarily a reserve, so bring your own food and drinks. There are excellent local cafes and the historic Blues Point Hotel nearby if you prefer to dine out before or after your visit.
Awesome view of the key places in Sydney, the bridge, opera house and has nice cafes and acccess via ferries at Mcmahons point
Great views of the Harbour Bridge , Darling Harbour, Barrangaroo, and lastly Harry Siedlers Blues Point tower!

Ensemble Theatre is a quaint little theatre, delicious menu and bar. Staff are extremely lovely. Saw a show called Primary Trust, absolutely magnificent cast. Can't wait to see the next show at Ensemble!
Always a great theatre to visit. I have been to three shows so far this year. easy to get to by public transport. Superb shows on offer, and a great theatre. I am looking forward to returning soon during the 2026 season.
A fabulous little theatre in beautiful Kirribilli. Lovely bar with a great selection of drinks with fabulous water views. Bayly's restaurant is also fantastic, with good quality food including vegetarian options. A purpose-built theatre showing high quality performances with top-rate actors at reasonable prices, including discounted student tickets. Lovely, friendly, welcoming staff. I highly recommend the Ensemble Theatre.
Ghar ghar ki kahani… Aria – A Snapshot of Australian Society in a Flash, in Ensemble Theatre in Kiribili on the edge of Sydney Harbour, beautiful… built in 1958. Recently, I had the pleasure of watching Aria in Sydney, a play that brilliantly encapsulates various facets of Australian society. Set against the backdrop of family dynamics, the story revolves around Monique, a mother deeply devoted to her three sons yet unmistakably biased against her daughters-in-law. Her love, protective yet overbearing, exposes the tensions within a household shaped by tradition, favoritism, and unspoken expectations. The play skillfully weaves in themes of class divide, infidelity, and Australia’s drinking culture. It highlights how financial struggles often lead to social exclusion, reflecting an unspoken truth about societal biases. The performances were strong, with the actors bringing depth and authenticity to their roles. One striking aspect was the audience—predominantly white Australians over 55, with us being the only Asians in the room. This further underscored the cultural setting of the play and made it an immersive experience. For tourists seeking a deeper understanding of Australia beyond the usual sights, Aria is a must-watch. It offers a raw yet engaging glimpse into family relationships, class dynamics, and cultural norms in contemporary Australia.
I have been loving attending plays at this theatre the last few years, everything is perfect, beautiful sets, an amazing location and theatre space, wonderful play selection and great acting everytime we've come! Has been very nice to get away from spinning stages, camera men running around to take close ups of actors, Russian classics in the outback and radioactive cows - just talented productions and amazing acting at Ensemble 🙂
Easy to book tickets on line. Great travelling by ferry and a short walk to the theatre. Great to eat before the show at the theatre ir next door - advising booking at either. Seats are designed so you can see from at the back etc. Wonderful views over the water for a pre show drink.
Always a delight to be here. The theater is very small but intimate. You really do feel a lot more connected to the actors. If you booked Row A, you're literally on the stage with them. It is a more immersive experience than you would have if you watched the same play in a bigger, more opulent theater. The view from the bar and restaurant isn't too bad either. Parking could be hard, but not impossible. Kirribilli is also very accessible by public transport, both by train and ferry.
Lovely theatre with a bar and restaurant overlooking the water in Kirribilli. They have small, independent plays but well-directed and acted. A wonderful venue to support upcoming and established Australian actors.

Crossed walking Harbour Bridge, late for breakfast, early for lunch…. Walked 5 minutes (or less) and found this lovely restaurant!! We just asked for appetizers to share and were all amazing!!! Sorry but I have to recommend all of them !!
Was raining when we were looking for a place in Kirribilli to eat for dinner. Spotted a cozy rustic restaurant and decided why not? The Botanist was an incredibly delicious meal and the ambiance was amazing. The pasta was so flavorful and probably one of the best I've had. The chicken also was very good and the BREAD WAS FANTASTIC!! Paired with the burrata was just a chefs kiss. Great meal.
Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at Botanist in Kirribilli, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely amazing—every dish was a delight. In addition to the delicious menu, they also have a great selection of cocktails to complement the meal. I would highly recommend it.
Local pub/bistro style dining with casual vibes and elevated Australian dining. We had the Beef Wellington (a Sunday roast special, be sure to pre-book as this needs preparation days in advance), tuna crudo, sausage pasta, and apple pie to end. Great selection of cocktails (mostly also available in temperance, non-alcoholic versions). We had the lychee martini, negroni special, and a spiced raspberry tequila. Warm, friendly, and inviting atmosphere. Would definitely recommend checking them out if you’re in the area for a small celebration, or just for a little treat.
Such a Vibe at The Botanists in Kirribilli! If you’re looking for a spot in Kirribilli that nails both the atmosphere and the food, you need to check out The Botanist. We had what we thought booked a reservation, unfortunately we did not do what we needed to do as customers, we did not finalise finer details through email... so on arrival, we weren't on the system! It was our anniversary so we were visibly upset. The lady who greeted us at the door, Hannah, was an absolute gem! Super friendly, helpful, and quickly came up with a solution for us. She hooked us up with sitting at the bar tables to wait for a dining table to be cleared, however we were happy to eat from there, which she was very happy to accommodate us. The food? Wow. Every dish was full of flavour and you can tell they’re using top-notch ingredients. Seriously, you could almost taste the freshness in every bite. The wine? Always hits the spot. This gentleman (sorry, did not get him name) also recommended a lager with our mains which complemented the dish well, and topped our wine throughout the night. Overall we had a beautiful experience, and will come back for our next anniversary 🥰 will definitely recommend this place to everyone. Thank you so much to the team at the Botanist! Wish I had taken more pictures, but the night was thoroughly enjoyed to stop and do so at each time.
Had a birthday dinner at Botanist. The place is top class, delicious food, good wine, extraordinary and very knowledgeable customer service. We had very enjoyable evening and we will be definitely back. Thank you The Botanist for having us there
The food is great and as always warm and friendly hospitality with good service. It's a local favourite with visitors flocking the venue regularly too. Prawns were fresh and cooked to perfection and Tuna entree was amazing. Steak shoulders were perfectly made rare to maintain its tender meat, a great suggestion by Ryan the GM. His wonderful team Evie and Paddy, were absolutely delightful serving our table too. Thank you so much we will be back again.
We booked a last minute table for 7 for the lunch banquet. It was amazing ! Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere and throughly enjoyed the food! A Cozy setting along with hearty share dishes. No one left with an empty stomach! Thanks so much. Anna and the team at Guest Realty

What a hidden gem. Great spot for a bath walk, picnic and incredible views of Sydney city and the harbour. There are a few car parks not shown so do the drive around the loop as there is one close to a bbq area and toilets, right near the views. This is a dog friendly walk so long as on leash.
I think Balls Head Reserve is a really great bush walking track. Along the route, there are some flat roads, but the majority is actual bushland. Natural paths have been carved around the headland, though, due to the constant walking of many visitors over time. There are some stairs and narrow parts in the walk, but I found it to be a relatively mild trek. The track is well marked and easy to follow. Although a relatively popular spot for bush walking, during the times I have been here, it has never been crowded. To me, the walk is really peaceful and tranquil. There are many places along the walk that have amazing views of Sydney Harbour. The area is very well maintained. There is free street parking at the start of the route. There are also barbecue and picnic facilities. Dogs on leashes are welcome here.
I really enjoy bush walking with my dog through track from the Coal Loader to Balls Head Reserve. There are plenty of car park space around or short walking distance from Waverton train station. You can see stunning sunset view Sydney harbour bridge, Sydney Opera House and city skyline.highly recommended.
Amazing views at Balls Head Reserve. Bush walks and an amazing cafe. There's plenty of awesome photo opportunities at viewpoints - highly recommend Balls Head Reserve for tourists and locals!
I like this place. The environment is good, quiet and close to the port. You can see Sydney landmarks, the Sydney Harbor Bridge, the Sydney Opera House, and major buildings in the Sydney CBD area. This is a great place to walk your dog, relax, and watch the sunrise and sunset. The public facilities here are pretty good, including parking lots, public toilets (very clean), barbecue pits, and open-air picnic areas. Here you can see many pheasants looking for food.
Must go here for the city view & Sydney harbour bridge. I went for a run here, definitely one of my favorite spots in Sydney. It’s such a hidden gem!
Magnificent views of the city in a bushland setting. A wonderful place to bring the kids and have a picnic or barbeque.
Balls Head Reserve is a great place to go with family, friends, your partner and even take the kids out to play. Family environment and very nice for calm walks and contemplation of nature. If you want to relax or have a picnic, this is definitely the right place for it. In addition, the view is simply beautiful to behold, if you want to take good pictures, enjoy the sunset and you will be able to make magazine pictures. Even more, the hike in the reserve is a sensational experience and for all ages, but remember to be prepared for it. I highly recommend the tour, it's worth every minute.

If you are a May Gibbs fan. This is a must. Did the guided tour. Very Interesting. Our tour guided was great.
A lovely hidden Gem!!!! I highly recommend for those looking for a special location with historical meaning. Part of the Australian Heritage and a little wonderland. Walking distance to restaurants and cafes. Susan is lovely… she invited me into the garden to have my hot chocolate.
We enjoyed a beautiful high tea and house tour on Mothers Day. The volunteers are so dedicated, they created a wonderful atmosphere (and baking!). The gift shop is full of lovely items too.
Love it! Learnt a lot about May Gibbs and what a blessing for Australia to have such a gifted artist in the history!
Beautiful little cottage, I finally visited this place, I’ve known about this place for a while but have never had the time to visit. We did a tour with a lovely informative lady, I didn’t catch her name but she explained told us all about the history of May Gibbs’ and the beautiful home. The cottage is preserved very well, almost like a step back in time, I would definitely come back to here to explore the place properly and the gift shop has beautiful items of everything from souvenirs to linens and children’s wear.
A great place to visit with very friendly and passionate staffs, the house tour gives you a full story on the life of May Gibb, her inspirations, her struggles and how her brilliant works come about. No photos allowed in the house (for copyright reasons) and the house entry is only via the guided tour so please check before your visit, there is no parking around the house so best to come via public transport. To make a half day trip for it, arrive by train, hop off at the Milson Point train station, grab some brunch if necessary (Nutcote opens at 11am and the first house tour starts almost right away), takes a leisurely walk (around 1.6 km - 20 mins), arrive at Nutcote by 11am. After the visit (roughly around 1.5 hours), get some lunch around Neutral Bay Ferry Wharf (recommended an excellent and cheap Thai restaurant - Ta Ta Thai) and take a ferry back to Circular Quay. The suburb of Neutral Bay where the house is located is stunning so please allow some extra time to explore.
Such a magical place if you love May Gibbs. Her house is my perfect house!! My daughter and I had a wonderful day out visiting Nutcote

Stunning water view, easy free street parking next to the park. There is a cafe around the corner to sit and enjoy a cuppa. If you visit around October when Jacaranda blossoms, you will not be disappointed with the pretty purple on the street.
Well kept park with tall palms. It's alongside MacDougall Street, famous for the Jacaranda blooms.
One of the best spots in Sydney to see jacaranda trees in bloom.
Milson Park in Kirribilli, Sydney, is a charming and picturesque green space known for its stunning views of Sydney Harbour and the city skyline. The park features ample green space, shady trees, and picnic areas, making it an ideal spot for relaxing with family and friends. It's particularly popular during the jacaranda blooming season, when the park and the adjacent McDougall Street are adorned with vibrant violet flowers, creating a beautiful backdrop for visitors
I enjoyed the scenic views of the beautiful trees, the waterfront and marina offered at Milson Park. There is also a stretch of Blue Jacaranda trees on McDougall street. This place is very popular when the Blue Jacaranda flowers are in bloom (November- December). Also be mindful of the traffic when looking at the trees and respectfully of those living in the area. After looking at the trees I suggest you walk down to nearby Luna Park and take in an awesome video of the Sydney Harbour, Sydney Bridge and the Sydney Opera house. It's the most pleasant and calming time when it comes to going into the early morning, that's how I like Sydney😌🥰
Jeffrey Street Wharf offers one of the most stunning views of Sydney at night. From this quiet spot, you can admire the Opera House glowing on the water, the sparkling CBD skyline, and the Harbour Bridge rising proudly above the harbour. The perspective here feels close and intimate, as if the entire city unfolds just for you. With the cool night air, the gentle sound of waves, and reflections dancing on the surface, it’s a perfect place for both photography and relaxation. A hidden gem that easily deserves five stars.
One of the worlds most Iconic structures "Harbour Bridge" is just a stone throw distance from Jeffrey Street Wharf, and just the opposit of it is another famous building "Sydney Opera House"... Every now and then I visit the place either for an evening or morning walk, just to relax or have a picnic with my friends & family. The view is just magnificent... One can never have enough if it... just so beautiful..
Jeffrey Street Wharf kirribilli is a decommissioned wharf. Usually it got people fishing 🎣 or taking photos 📸 nevertheless i saw 👀 a ferry dropping off people and picking up people 🙄 I have only seen a ferry ⛴️ stop here twice. I google it and it says it's Jeffrey Street Wharf is decommissioned. Jeffrey Street Wharf, in the Lower North Shore suburb of Kirribilli, has long been a favourite spot for locals to enjoy a picnic, party, proposal or barbecue. This is one of the best lookouts /spots for taking photos photos 📸 of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera house. Jeffrey Street Wharf in Kirribilli offers one of Sydney's most iconic and breathtaking vantage points for viewing the city, making it a highly recommended spot for both locals and tourists. The Main Attraction: Unbeatable Views The primary reason to visit Jeffrey Street Wharf is the spectacular, postcard-perfect view. Situated directly across the harbour from Circular Quay, you get an unparalleled perspective of: The Sydney Harbour Bridge The Sydney Opera House The CBD skyline This location is particularly popular for photography, offering stunning shots day or night, and is a famous spot for major events like Australia Day and New Year's Eve fireworks. Its elevated position along Jeffrey Street adds to the perspective, often capturing beautiful reflections in nearby puddles after rain, which is a big draw for Instagrammers. Ambiance & Activities The wharf itself and the surrounding street offer a tranquil, charming harborside atmosphere. Relaxation: It's an excellent place for a leisurely stroll, a picnic, or simply sitting and soaking in the serene harbor environment. Fishing: The wharf is known to be a popular spot for fishing among locals. Historical Charm: Jeffrey Street is lined with a row of beautifully preserved 17 historic terrace houses, adding a touch of old-world charm to the backdrop. Accessibility: While the general area is easy to access, be aware that the actual wharf itself is not fully wheelchair accessible due to steps, according to public transport information
Great location for views of Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. There's reasonable paid parking nearby, and one get here by public transport by getting Milsons Point station.
Excellent ferry stop with beautiful views of the harbour including the bridge and opera house. It’s actually a nice place to just sit and take it all in on a quiet weekend 🤩
An amazing view if the harbour and very relaxing parking can be hot or miss especially on weekends and alot better Monday to Thursday. An added bonus is public toilets near by which are generally clean. Luna park is just around the corner as well as the fairy wharf

I was always too scared to go for dinner, but after making the plunge it is great! Everything you would expect, super low-key, think plastic chairs. Hot vegetarian food in huge portions and super friendly people everywhere. It's surprisingly quite to sit outside and enjoy and early dinner on a warm night.
The rituals were beautifully performed, and the surroundings were well-maintained and welcoming. Whether you’re visiting for prayer, meditation, or simply to take in the tranquility, the temple provides a wonderful space for reflection and peace.
One of the oldest Hindi temples. Nice ambience. One of the unique characteristics of this place is that it attracts a lot of mainstream Australians as well. The prayers held on Sunday around noon is a must watch. You will get a lot of inner peace participating in the prayers.
a must visit place in northern Sydney, the Deities who live here, Sri Sri Radha Gopinath were installed by Srila Prabhupada, the founder of the Hare Krishna movement
Lord Krishna Hindu Temple maintained by Iskon. As all Iskon Temples are set up with glamorous theme similarly this temple is also colourful with a hall and opposite to core temple, icon of Shri Prabhupad, founder of Iskon is established. Temple is having own website from where all a activities and information is published. On Sunday, there is always great feast where many devotees from all around Sydney gather to Chant Hare Krishna Mantra. Temple is distributing free food to homeless at regular routine.
This place does not exist, spend 2hrs trying to find it, location on Google is north sydney council road maintenance facility
Thankful for a good life to live and share good things to all the life I have touched.❤️

We can’t recommend Tastes of the Hunter Wine Tours enough!! Suzanne was very professional and helpful in creating and organising the wine tour itself, and then we were gifted 2 of the best tour guides (bus drivers) Grant & John for the day. We were celebrating a friend’s Hens party and the Hen absolutely loved the tour!! Was a great day for all and we will definitely be booking again in the future.
An Unforgettable Wine Tour Experience with Pete! We had the absolute best time on our wine tour and cannot recommend this company enough! From start to finish, everything was seamless, fun, and perfectly tailored to our group. The real star of the day, though, was our driver Pete — what a legend! Pete was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating. He made us feel welcome right away and went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing time. His local insight added so much to the tour, from hidden gem wineries to helpful tasting tips. He even took the time to take group photos for us and made sure everyone was comfortable and having fun throughout the day. The vehicle was spotless and comfortable, and every stop felt thoughtfully curated. We never felt rushed and got to enjoy each location at our own pace. If you’re looking for a relaxed, personalized wine tour experience with a fantastic guide, look no further. Huge thanks to Pete and the team for a day we won’t forget — we’re already planning our next tour!
Highly recommend Tastes Of The Hunter Wine Tours! From the start Suzanne was extremely helpful in sorting out our day. She had very quick responses and gave great recommendations for wineries and distilleries to go to. Joe our bus driver was so lovely, he walked into every venue with us to find our table. He kept us on schedule and always walked around to the steps of the bus to help us down. Very nice gentleman.
A big thank you to Tastes of the Hunter Wine Tours for helping our friend celebrate her hen’s party in the Hunter Valley! Communication from Suzanne was great. She was so helpful with organising the itinerary. Kevin was a wonderful driver! He kept us safe, on time and made suggestions throughout the day. Highly recommend them!
Fantastic tour, we had such a great time and would highly recommend! The communication from Suzanne leading up to the tour was prompt and helpful and a huge thank you for opening adding an extra tour for our group! Our tour guide Kevin was very knowledgeable, friendly and had a great sense of humour. The tour itself went perfectly and loved the wineries that we went to! Would highly recommend 👌 😍
Communications were positive but unfortunately our booking for 17 had to be postponed due to the person whose birthday we were celebrating being hospitalised in the week leading up to our visit. We had to postpone but there was no allowance, even in part, for re-booking so $2,300 wasted. I don't believe that all that is "out of pocket" and that none of the proposed providers don't make allowances for such a situation given no service or product was, in the end, provided. If however this is the case, then the arrangements should be better negotiated with the end providers. Very disappointed. Reply: Just to clarify, we sought to reschedule on the Tuesday for a Saturday tour (so 96 hours).
My friends and I booked with Tastes of the Hunter Wine Tours (THWT) as the highlight of a hen’s weekend towards the end of May 2025. 6 of the 8 attendees live in Port Macquarie. Unfortunately, the weekend was at the end of the week in which our town (among others) was declared a natural disaster zone due to intense rainfall and flooding. The highway between here and Taree, along with the Oxley Highway through Walcha mountains, Port Macquarie airport, and Waterfall way / Dorrigo mountain were all closed by the end of the week. We were devastated to be unable to go and hoped to obtain a credit so we could rebook. The Air BnB overrode their terms and conditions and provided a full refund, but, despite three attempts to recoup any monies at all that had not yet been paid out, THWT enforced their terms and conditions which state no refunds within 7 days of the booking. We were told that they were unable to obtain refunds of monies paid to third parties for wine tastings, bus hire and bus driver fees, or the cost of the time spent arranging the tour. It was suggested that the two people coming from Sydney go ahead on the tour (despite the bride and her mother living in Port Macquarie). On contacting the wineries we were advised that no tasting fees had been paid for our group (and indeed these are typically paid after tours), and the two winery owners advised that in such circumstances they definitely would refund tasting fees had they been paid advance. In response to this, THWT explained that their drivers sometimes help with admin and must have marked off the tastings as paid by accident. The tasting fees were refunded at this point. We then queried the prepayment of bus hire as there are photos online of the tour bus with the company name on it, but again we were reminded that there are no refunds within 7 days and we should have taken out domestic travel insurance. We acknowledge that legally the company has every right to keep the money, but $1145 (after the refund if $175 tasting fees) seemed unfair. We did ask one final time for a portion of that to be refunded on compassionate grounds (assuming bus hire and probably driver fees had not been paid given the facts before us), knowing that legally we had no rights and it was likely that all we really had the right to would be sharing our story, and we were told that this was blackmail, the owner would simply request the reviews be removed, and should we wish to argue further we would need to formally pursue mediation. I see now we are not the only group befallen by unexpected events and responded to the same way, so be sure to take out domestic travel insurance! No need to reply Suzanne. I have read your response to the other one star reviews and I’m sure the reply will be much the same.
Grant was the best and loveliest tour ever. It was so much fun and all the places we went too were amazing. Thank you so much!!

Mary Booth Lookout Reserve is a beautiful spot for weddings ceremonies. The fact that you can get both views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, makes it a stunning backdrop for photos. As a wedding photographer, I also love how spacious the lawn is, it gives plenty of room for group photos afterward. Plus, it’s more quiet than other popular locations in the same area, which makes the whole experience feel more intimate and relaxed. Highly recommend!
Mary Booth Lookout Reserve is tiny in size and huge in payoff. A few steps from the street and the harbour arrives all at once, framed by fig trees and a neat strip of grass that feels made for lingering. Sit for a minute and you get the city in motion without the bustle: ferries tracing white lines, gulls gliding on the breeze, the bridge and skyline shifting with the light. It is the kind of view that makes coffee taste better and conversations unhurried. What I like here is the balance. There is enough lawn for a throw rug, a couple of benches if you are traveling light, and just enough height above the water to feel special. Early mornings are calm with soft colour on the stone. Late afternoons turn warm and golden, and the lights across the harbour flick on one by one. Photographers set up tripods, couples take engagement shots, and locals sneak in with a book on sunny weekdays. During big nights on the calendar it becomes a sought after vantage, but most of the time it reads as a quiet neighbourhood green with a front row outlook. A few simple tips help. Parking is scarce, so public transport and a short stroll keep things easy. Shade moves around, so bring a hat and water if you plan to settle in. The grass has a slight slope near the edge, which makes flat shoes smarter than sandals. Pack out whatever you bring, keep voices down after dusk and give the residents the same peace you came for. Do that, and you have a small, beautiful spot you will want to return to whenever the weather is kind.
Perfect picnic spot near Sydney to celebrate your special moments.. There is also a jogging track which you can enjoy walking while exploring iconic harbour & opera house views. 2 hours free parking available on weekends.
Amazing view on the harbour bridge and opera, absolute gem! Great for picnics or sunsets. Combine with a stroll around Kirribili
One of the best places to see the opera house, and the Harbour bridge. Watched the Australia day fireworks, and was pretty great. Nearest train station is Milsons point.
. Dr Mary Booth Park and Lookout With beautiful views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, it’s no surprise the Dr Mary Booth Lookout is a popular place for tourists and locals alike. A short five-minute walk from Milsons Point, this dog-friendly park is a great spot if you want to go on a picnic with your furry friend in tow.  The park is named after physician and welfare worked Mary Booth who did incredible work for women’s rights in the early 1900s. I saw many bush Turkey's Address: Waruda St, Kirribilli.
An awe-inspiring vista awaits at this breathtaking viewpoint! From the iconic Opera House and majestic Harbour Bridge to the bustling cityscape, tranquil suburbs, and bustling river traffic, it's a feast for the eyes. Sit by the riverside and soak in the panoramic beauty – ships, boats, lush greenery, and the expansive river complete the picture-perfect scene. Feeling down? A visit here promises to lift your spirits as you're enveloped by the serenity and grandeur of this unparalleled view. A surefire remedy for a mood uplift! 🌉🏙️🛳️🌳
The view from the lookout reserve is fantastic. Rain or shine. It's has an amazing view of the city and the harbor bridge. Proper sun protection is very important as there isn't too much shade other than the entrance/curb side.

Coco Chocolate is the most beautiful shop I have ever walked into. From the wrapping of the chocolates, to the beautiful music and the stunning decorations, this shop is Kirribilli's hidden gem. I had amazing customer service, super friendly, kind and happy to help out with any questions I had. The hot chocolate had to be my favourite part of my Coco Chocolate experience though. I tried the Rose and Black Pepper Dark chocolate hot chocolate, it was rich and flavourful and a unique and delicious combination. Plenty of other flavours to try for next time. A must visit any time I'm close to Kirribilli or getting the ferry to Circular Quay!
he moment I stepped into this store, I felt the warmth and love in the atmosphere. The variety of hot chocolate options is delightful, featuring flavors like lavender, rose, and cinnamon, alongside classic chocolate and truffles. This place is definitely worth the one-hour drive. I enjoyed the exquisite chocolate and a lovely walk with a stunning view of the bridge and Opera House. It truly nourishes the soul. This place deserves 🌟🌟.
I had the most amazing experience visiting Coco Chocolate in Kirribilli! The chocolate is fresh, flavourful and delicious and daily samples are the perfect opportunity to explore a new chocolate each visit. The costumer service was so helpful and I loved the happy, bubbly and helpful staff member that served me, she answered all my questions and helped me find the perfect gift. Every time I need to by a gift for my chocolate loving family this is the FIRST place I go to! I find the right gift box and packet of shards to gift friends and family and they love it every time! The hot chocolates offered at Coco for both dine in and takeaway are so delicious. I had the milk chocolate hot chocolate and it lived up to the hype! Warm, rich, creamy and chocolatey! The first place I would go before heading to Luna Park, the City or a stroll around Kirribilli!
Everyone has been telling me to visit Coco Chocolate in Kirribilli so whilst the markets were on I decided to head down to Bligh St (only a 2 minute walk) and find the most beautiful french inspired chocolate shop. I felt like I was instantly transported to a French village, with beautiful decor, music and lighting, this place felt magical. The staff also were so lovely and really brightened up my day. I bought a packet of their Coco Shards in the milk honeycomb flavour and it was SPECTACULAR, the fresh milk chocolate truly was so smooth, creamy and high quality and the honeycomb added that extra depth. I also ordered a Cardamon and Cinnamon hot chocolate and the spice mix was perfect. I ordered this in WHITE chocolate however it is also avaliable in dark chocolate. The sweetness from the white chocolate was balanced out with the spice mix and it created the most heartwarming drink, it felt like I was in Stars Hollow in Autumn! I will totally recommend to all my friends and family!
Coco Chocolate is a great place that supports the local community - the majority of their chocolate isn’t imported, it’s made right here in Mosman! At their chocolate studio and school! How wonderful is that? The staff are always lovely, very patient and very knowledgeable. Their range is incredible and fairly priced for such a high-quality chocolate store. They have chocolates covered with beautiful edible artworks, an impressive range of hot chocolate powders and many chocolate-coated goodies. I’d absolutely recommend checking this store out! I also believe they can make up hot chocolates for you for takeaway, and you can also book for classes at their chocolate school in Mosman! It’s also worth mentioning they have a range of more obscure flavours, such as ‘Dark Coco Chocolate with Haggis Spices’! Very interesting
Beautifully presented range of chocolates and chocolate bars; I recommend indulging in a hot chocolate while you are here ( many enticing flavours) ; a small shop , but so much to choose from !
Lovely little artisan chocolate shop in Kirribilli. Hidden away 5 meters down Broughton Street (right next to the Kirribilli Church). Delectable selection of chocolates and coffee on offer in store. The owner / staff are very nice and offer chocolate making courses at $180 - worth checking out as a present.
Feels like you’re back home in Europe the interior is warm and very French! The chocolates are however made locally which gives it the freshness and great taste. Lots of interesting variety and the ladies there are lovely. Good choices for chocolate indulgence or get them for gifts! We listed this place in our content some time back and the feedback has been great.
