"Indulge in Tasmania's rich chocolate heritage at Anvers Tasmania, a renowned chocolate factory, cafe, and shop in Latrobe. Discover award-winning handmade truffles, fudges, and specialty chocolates made with fresh Tasmanian cream and Belgian expertise. Enjoy free tastings, factory tours, and beautiful gardens"
Such a lovely location for a house made hot chocolate! There are viewing windows to have a look at what is being made or decorated in store. There's a separate building where you can buy the housemade chocolates. A cafe to have breakfast or a light lunch. Cafe on the pricey side but nice if you're passing through. Friendly staff. Beautiful grounds with a play area for the kids!
Got there early on Saturday morning and it was a great way to start the day after getting off the ferry. Food was fantastic, hot chocolate was divine, and service by the young woman serving (It was an A name! I'm so sorry, I did ask and then forgot!) was excellent. Definitely my go-to stop next time I'm catching the ferry over from the mainland.
This was the one location I was excited to see in my trip. The museum is very informative and you can watch them at work - but the waffles and hot chocolate combo was beyond amazing. Don’t forget to pop by the shop and buy some choccies ☺️.
My granddaughter Zoe and myself visited Amvers before Zoe was to head to the mainland on the Spirit. We both had a toasted sandwich with different ingredients and they were both delicious. Then we finished off sharing a chocolate slice which also was delicious The atmosphere, staff friendliness and the general outlook make Anvers a beautiful place to visit to enjoy food and the company you have with you. It is very relaxing. AND THE CHOCOLATE 🍫 IS SO SO YUMMY! GO AND I BELIEVE YOU WILL AGREE 😃
Very interesting place to visit. It has made me appreciate the art of chocolate making again. Pretty surroundings and well presented. Love the free taster bag.
An elegant chocolate tourist factory 🍫🏭 It’s good to have a hot chocolate with the self guided tour!! We learned the history of chocolate in Tasmania and saw lots of equipment in the window cases ✨ We really enjoyed watching the chocolate chef performed in front of us!!🤤 The food and desserts here were amazing!! Good quality, beautiful, delicious and inexpensive with large quantities!!! And the staff here were very friendly too!! It’s a must visit attraction especially it just takes 10-15 minutes from Devonport CBD👍🏻
Awesome stop. Great food, great coffee, the service was very friendly and cheerful. Factory was in operation, free viewing and very interesting Chocolate is absolutely delish... we spent lots...lol

Was recommended to call past on the way through and so glad we did. This shop (although it doesn't feel like it) is such a great experience, amazing how they are able to fit all that cool stuff into one building. Each area has so much to look and the back rooms carry the themes so well. Honestly a small entry fee would be well worth it. Credit to the team who setup/own/run the store.
What an amazing shop!!! We were mesmerised. They have all the unique gifts and so much more. You will need lots of time to come here. Perhaps even have coffee and a slice of cake while you shop. Simply stunning! The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the items are all arranged neatly and beautifully. I can't wait to go back. Love it!!
I remember going here as a kid years ago, and so while we were in the area, I wanted to take my children. It's different from what I remember as, unfortunately, there was the fire back in 2015, but it's still a fantastic shop to visit. There is such a wide variety of things to buy for gifts and some very unique ones. There are also activities in the outdoor areas which the kids loved to play. There has been a lot of thought put into Reliquaire, and you can see it throughout the whole shop.
Oh I love this store, so many different little spaces, displays and gifts for absolutely everyone. This store is like no other, I have not seen anything like it before. The staff are so friendly and willing to assist when required. I have been here several times already and I am never left disappointed. Thank you Reliquaire for creating such an amazing store to visit. See you again soon. 🤍
What an extraordinary fantasy and memorabilia experience, disguised as a shop! The themed spaces extend from Alice in Wonderland to Chainsaw massacre, with a glorious Father Christmas section - and a red chair for photos. The store has been here for many years and its display are constantly refreshed, I’m told. Come with $5 or $5,000 and be surprised! BTW the cafe next door, Shadows, has good Aussie food at pre-inflation prices!
Coolest gift shop I've been to, huge building with many different areas both indoors and outdoors each with its own theme to explore, definitely worth a visit!
Most amazing store! A place of dreams. We had such a great time looking around. I can't believe they fit so much stuff in one store. They even had earrings from my favourite maker Denz and Co. Definitely stop in if your in the area.
What an amazing store, if you can’t find a gift here you will never find it!! A great mix of practical and fun items. I usually have to drag my husband to the shops but he loved it in here. A trip to the disco toilet should be included in the experience. We had a lovely coffee too. Definitely worth a visit.

Wow. The meal was delicious. The cocktails were awesome. Atmosphere sublime. Service was so polite and friendly. Can't wait to return. Even had a walk along the river afterwards and saw the sunset. Fabulous evening.
I wouldn't recommend. Not authentic Thai food. My prawns for entree had no hint of corriander in the sauce and topped with parsley, not corriander. Waitress wasn't very helpful. The restaurant was overbooked and understaffed. My mint slice cocktail was full of ice. Yuk. You are better off going to the Pub.
Experience the royal flavors of Thailand — a culinary journey once reserved for the palace. Thai Imperial cuisine: where tradition meets. Serving with royal grace — every dish, every smile, every delivery.
I took my family out for tea. It was wild weather outside we came inside it was so warm and inviting. Very friendly, polite and helpful staff. Meals didn't take long to arrive, was good timing. Our meals were fresh, well presented and very delicious, great size and very filling. Staff came and checked on our meals and to see if everything ok. Which is very nice to do. Nothing a problem. Prices were reasonable as well. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back.
Ordered trio pork for $34 delivery, I received this messy box with three kind of overcooked very salty pork dishes in mini portions + some rice. Packed with a cardboard box so the sauce all soaked underneath and the meal arrived cold, hard and messy, so unappealing. The dishes didn't taste Thai, more like Chinese. Such a waste, I wouldn't even pay $20 for it.
Our interstate visitors wanted Thai food to celebrate a birthday. Waited over an hour and no food served, despite people arriving after us receiving their food. Approached staff about the unacceptable time delay and were told it was being cooked now. Waited another 15 minutes then told staff we were leaving. I can only comment on the drinks ... the water bottle was dirty/greasy on the outside, the wine glass had the letters Thai Imperial stuck on it ... half the letters were missing/had fallen off. Let's just say Gordon Ramsay would have a field day here.
After a cold beer and delicious cocktail we enjoyed an entree for two. Although we chose different meals from an extensive mains menu we both chose different satay dishes that were so delicious, I’ll definitely try mine again sometime.
Food was ok but very rude staff, just because one time do wrong entry which we want to corrected but she told us is ok and let us in, we said we sorry but then she remind us 6x about the way out with serious/annoyed face, before order, after ordering, when the food came, when she take out our appetiser plates, taking out maindish plates (plus remind us where is the cashier located), after paid our meal. I feel like she want us out from the restaurant since the beginning but just not to obvious, also my husband insisted to try their meal. I have worse experience ever.

Omg best food in Tasmania. My partner had steak and chips and I had a chicken schnitzel and chips with pepper gravy. This is he second time we have eaten here before going on the spirit of Tasmania...omg. so good. The gravy is amazing. I highly recommend. I just wish other places in Tasmania were this good.
What a great pub. The meals were so big what I sent back would have fed someone else. And if you’re old like us you get a beer, wine or soft drink with your meal, bonus. Would certainly come back here if we make it to Tassie again.
Ordered a steak naturally wanted gravy on it, seen on the menu they offered lactose free asked if I could get that gravy to be told they don't do that and that my only option for any gravy lactose free I could get the Neapolitan sauce from a parmigiana. No thanks so, I had a dry steak and chips. They kinda also decided that I did not need salad dressing on my salad, I kindly ask if I could have some salad dressing as my meal was already dry enough. The steak was cooked well but I was not satisfied with the meal. Just a tip don't assume what the customer wants if I asked for no salad dressing then fair enough. Venue overan by screaming children one that entered the play area with a butter knife, and then walked on top of the table.
Very welcoming environment. I can't go to restaurants with my kids as it's a huge sensory overload but mackeys is very large/open and the playground makes it possible. Thank you.
Great place, staff, meals, atmosphere. Great for kids
Great meal and great service despite being very busy on a Saturday night.
Had a lovely meal. Roast of the day & had sticky date pudding for dessert was awesome
Went here for lunch. Range of options were great and staff were fantastic

Took my son in law and grandson, they had lots of fun. They came out with huge smiles and our grandson was super excited. The staff were friendly. Plenty of room to sit or stand and watch. Prices I thought was very reasonable.
Nice experience . Guide were awesome explaining safety would love to visit again. Book in advance if you don’t want wait.
Customer service was a 0/5 never had such rude staff. Karts were in very poor condition, brakes not working and seatbelts in bad condition and when asked about it, the staff said it's meant to be like that. There were way too many karts on the track for the size of the track, which meant you could never get a clean lap. For the cost I was expecting a decent experience but turned out to be a waste of money.
The staff there are friendly and accommodating. They really spend time to explain how things work to my kids. We had lots of fun there. It is a must stop!!
its great but would have been great if they would install timing record for every laps
🚗💨We buy a 10-minute ticket for $35 It’s Very fun and exciting🎉👍 The service staff are very friendly🥰
A really nice go kart track and super friendly staff. On the whole very well organised. Not a very long track hence the 4 stars but def 5 star on the service.
Went to kart magic today (frequent visitor) and must say, the amount of change that has occurred is great. Staff were awesome, lots of fun was had, GoPro chest mounts were also allowed. Overall was excellent and glad the day was awesome.

🌹When I enter Madame M Cafe shop! 🤩The garden was so amazing that I couldn't go on! 🌟This is a very carefully cultivated garden, really beautiful! I was very lucky to see the flowers in bloom👍! When I entered the cafe, the French decor made me feel more in love with it! Because the cafe has a mural of Madame de Pompadour that I love so much! It’s all super tasteful! Not to mention the waiter who impressed me so much! Very polite and humorous. 🥰I really enjoyed talking to her! This day starts with a cup of good coffee! 👋I‘ll be back! See you next time💕
The atmosphere and vibe of the cafe is really nice, with delicate paintings, exquisite decos and calming music in the background. There's a big courtyard and it's really nice to sit outdoor and enjoy the atmosphere. I did not like the coffee (it tasted bitter to me and the milklab soy milk tasted a bit weird?) but someone else might appreciate it. ☕ The staff member is pretty friendly. I came on a Wednesday afternoon and the cafe was quiet, which is good for people looking for a place to chill on a weekday. They offer a range of cakes and treats in-house, and a fantastic selection of wine available. They have a cute little shop at the front that sells various items, the shop opens a little later so if you arrive earlier for coffee or brunch you can enter the cafe via the courtyard at the side of the building.
The food there is classic. The staff knew we were visiting and recommended us a few places to visit. A very friendly atmosphere. We love the creamy broccoli and potato soup!!
Nice cafe with a comfortable courtyard, good food, coffee, tea and baked goods. The Croque Madam is the best I’ve had with an egg, ham and cheese, and a delicious mustard based sandwich spread. 5 The special was a savory crepe with creamy chicken filing.
Tasty food and impressive service, I really love this place! Recommend for any visitors. Must go without a doubt! 🤩
Our fav place, many options for vegan/vegetarian/gluten free. Cappuccino super! Homemade cakes delicious!
When you 1st walk into this timeless place, you feel you have walked into a piece of history. It has been remodelled with care and love and it shows, taking into consideration of the great service and customer care. To listen to the history and hard work from the owner himself was such a pleasure, to sit and enjoy fresh Home-made scones, jam & cream, a piece of Carrot cake ( yum)with an awesome cappuccino. For a small amount of time the rest of the world didn't exist till you walk back through the gates onto the side walk. Thankyou 💜
This is a beautiful little cafe. The staff member was extremely friendly and knew how to make a good coffee. The Banoffee pie was delicious as was the Carrot cake. Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Latrobe

Nice outdoor trail. Not much trail marks. You can walk up to the Mersey river..
Nice little reserve for a wander. Orchid reserve so different orchids at different times of the year.
Lovely walk where you can see lots of orchids, but the signage was pretty bad so you'll have to follow your own GPS to come out. Couldn't find a trail from the Alltrails app as well. Lots of rubbish around 😱
A good place to wander when driving from Latrobe to Railton. Blink and you will miss the turn off
Lovely walking track here. No real facilities, but some nice bush and a good place to hunt orchids.
Easy walking trail. Lots of orchids within view of the track as long as you walk slowly and look carefully as many are tiny and blend in well. Liked the signage with photos and names of the orchids. The track could have been better marked as there are other tracks that crossed over that we mistakenly followed. Really glad we spent time here.
I went on 30 November and spotted several of these orchids photographed.
Very pleasant walk. Would be better if more people picked up after their dogs. A garbage bin may be helpful
