David is an incredibly welcoming host and a fantastic storyteller. We loved the wines we tried and it was a unique experience sitting under a jacaranda, partaking in the tasting, overlooking the vineyard. Highly recommend.
As others have mentioned, David is a great storyteller and very knowledgeable of the local area, being involved in the community for a long time. Oh, and his wine, though only small in varieties, is of excellent quality. Wine sampling takes place under an old majestic jacaranda tree. The location, area, surroundings, backdrop, and scenery are truly spectacular!! Yes, I highly recommend the drive this winery... even just for David's engaging conversation!!
We had a brilliant time on Sunday afternoon at Bunjurgen. David, the Winery owner and wine connoisseur was extremely informative on his wine and the local area, as well as a great man to chat with. Belle, the Winery Dog was a young pup, happy to show us around ☺️
David was really patient and really hospitable! The Shiraz was great too. Hopefully we’ll have a chance to visit again.
Great afternoon exploring Bunjurgen Estate. While I'm not a fan of Port, the opportunity presented itself, so I did enjoy a tipple. David is a great story teller & our group enjoyed savouring his wares. His ability to explain the right way to enjoy Port was spot on, and certainly something I will remember in my trying of other ports. I visited this estate as part of a tour groups day out, but the best way to find out more is to check out their social media & website. Unfortunately the weather on the day we visited was a bit of a downer & won't be the case for further visitors.
An excellent morning, venue and host for our little group visit to Bunjurged. David is a polished raconteur and knows everyone in SE Queensland. He also knows a lot about the wine industry. Many thanks David for your great hospitality and wine. I will drink to your good health and mine for a few weeks. Until next visit. Regards, Monty, Jan, Don and Moby.
This is a small boutique winery, Dave the owner was a larrikin, many a story to tell. He has two wines and two ports on offer, all four very tasty. $25 @ a bottle for the wines, & $25 a bottle for the 350 ml port or $50 for the 700 ml. Highly recommend a visit.
Dave was so knowledgeable about the ancient and modern history, and the wine was incredible. He worked so hard on them! Gorgeous sunset, incredible value local business. No charge for the group tasting, only for the wine and port we bought after. Absolutely coming back again!
