Faisal Mosque, located in the heart of Islamabad, is a place where spirituality, beauty and tranquility come together. The constructions and unique architecture here automatically take the heart towards the greatness of Allah. Its view among the mountains is so beautiful that one cannot help but stop for a moment and think. Cleanliness, peaceful environment, spacious premises and the spiritual atmosphere during prayer times — everything is unparalleled. This place is not just a mosque, it is a feeling. Everyone who visits Islamabad must visit here. This place really deserves more than 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wonderful building, stunning architecture. This is one of the most beautiful mosques you're likely to visit. This mosque diversifies itself from the traditional curvature structures to more straight lines and angles which Muslim architecture has seen in the past, the Alhambra Palace in Spain, as an example. Before anyone corrects me, the architect was White European, nevertheless, his finished design doesn't detract from its beauty as a mosque in this 21st century. We'll worth a visit. Surrounded by mountains as a backdrop, it's cinemaesque in its setting.
The Mosque itself is truly an architectural gem and one of Islamabad’s most iconic landmarks. The grand structure, set against the backdrop of the Margalla Hills, leaves you in awe from the moment you arrive. There’s no entrance fee, so anyone can visit and admire its stunning design and peaceful atmosphere. You will find plenty of taxis waiting in the parking lot, though it’s often more convenient (and sometimes cheaper) to book your own ride through apps like Yango. Visitors should note that shorts are not allowed if you plan to enter the main prayer area — access is usually limited to prayer times only. While the mosque’s beauty remains timeless, some of the walkways are in a dilapidated state and could use maintenance, so watch your step during your visit. Despite that, the overall experience is serene and spiritually refreshing — definitely worth a visit for anyone exploring Islamabad.
Faisal Masjid is an architectural masterpiece and one of Pakistan’s most iconic landmarks. Gifted by King Faisal of Saudi Arabia and completed in 1986, the mosque represents a blend of modern design and traditional Islamic inspiration. Set against the majestic Margalla Hills, its unique tent-like structure and soaring minarets create a breathtaking silhouette visible from miles away. Beyond its striking architecture, the mosque offers a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere. The vast prayer hall, peaceful courtyards, and beautifully maintained grounds make it an ideal place for reflection, photography, and quiet admiration. Whether you visit for prayer, history, or simply to enjoy its tranquil surroundings, Faisal Masjid provides an experience that is both inspiring and unforgettable.
Visited this stunning mosque and was completely mesmerized by its serene beauty! 🌙️ The scenic surroundings and breathtaking architecture instantly calmed my soul. Every detail, from the intricate designs to the peaceful ambiance, felt like a spiritual retreat. A true masterpiece of tranquility and devotion. Highly recommend experiencing its beauty if you get the chance.
Faisal Mosque, located in the beautiful foothills of the Margalla Hills in the F-8 area of Islamabad, is one of the most iconic and majestic landmarks of Pakistan. Its stunning architecture, designed in the shape of a Bedouin tent, makes it truly unique and easily recognizable. The mosque is not only a symbol of Islamic culture but also a masterpiece of modern design, attracting visitors from all over the world. The atmosphere here is peaceful and spiritually uplifting. The large open courtyard, wide marble floors, and beautifully maintained gardens create a calm and refreshing environment. The prayer areas are spacious, clean, and well-ventilated, offering a comfortable place for worshipers. The management has also provided good facilities, including clean washrooms, wudu areas, well-organized parking, and effective security arrangements. Everything is kept neat, which adds to the overall pleasant experience. I have visited Faisal Mosque three to four times, and each visit has been memorable. The beauty of the mosque looks breathtaking in every season, especially during sunset when the surrounding hills and sky create a magical view. It is one of my favorite places in Islamabad, and I truly enjoy spending time here. It is also my heartfelt wish to offer more prayers in this holy and peaceful place, as being here fills my heart with tranquility and happiness. Faisal Mosque is not just a place of worship—it is a landmark that represents the beauty, culture, and spirit of Pakistan. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Islamabad!

Margalla Hills is truly a gem for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, lush greenery, rugged trails, and panoramic views that make every step worth it. Whether you’re an experienced hiker or just out for a peaceful walk, there’s a trail for everyone. The air is fresh, the environment is serene, and the peaceful sounds of birds and rustling leaves make you feel completely disconnected from the chaos of city life. It’s hard to believe such natural beauty exists right on the edge of Islamabad! Highly recommend visiting early in the morning for cooler temperatures and a chance to catch a stunning sunrise. Just remember to bring water, wear comfortable shoes, and respect the natural surroundings. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect with nature, or challenge yourself with a good hike, Margalla Hills is the perfect escape.
The Margala Hills are located to the North of Islamabad, and give the city a touch of beauty and serenity. Driving to the top of the hills is a 30 minute drive on a very narrow and steep road. Thus, care is required. At the top of the hill are a few touristic spots and monkeys. Driving further inside leads to a few restaurants. There are a few hiking trails that are worth the time and energy. Each trail starts and ends at the opposite ends of the hills. One point of each hiking trail could be at the top of the hill, while the other end is at the bottom of the hill in Islamabad. Hiking involves climbing up or down the entire hill. Daman-e-Koh is midway between Islamabad and the top of the hills, and is another touristic spot with many people, spots for beautiful views of Islamabad, and a restaurant.
Margalla Hills are a natural treasure of Pakistan and one of the most beautiful and peaceful spots in Islamabad. Covered with lush greenery, scenic hiking trails, and rich biodiversity, the hills offer a perfect escape from the busy city life. Whether you’re a nature lover, fitness enthusiast, or just looking to enjoy fresh air and panoramic views, Margalla Hills never disappoint. Popular trails like Trail 3 and Trail 5 attract visitors of all ages, offering everything from light walks to challenging hikes. You might even spot monkeys, wild boars, or beautiful birds along the way. The view of Islamabad from the top is simply breathtaking — especially during sunrise or sunset. However, there’s a need for regular maintenance of trails, improved waste management, and better signage in some areas to help first-time visitors navigate safely. Still, Margalla Hills remain one of the most refreshing and revitalizing experiences in Pakistan. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Islamabad.
God gifted for twin city's A good hills collection for outing with family. It looks more good at night when the view of Islamabad clears to see Trails, hiking, atmosphere, weather, etc Gorgeous
The beautiful range of mountains offers multiple hiking tracks, surrounded by lush green trees and a diverse array of wildlife. Visitors can encounter monkeys, boars, foxes, and even the occasional leopard, creating a truly immersive and nature-rich experience for those exploring the hiking trails in this picturesque mountainous region.
The Margalla Hills, with their tranquility, serenity, and natural beauty, are a true blessing for the residents of Islamabad. We should express our gratitude for this magnificent mountain range that graces our doorstep. Furthermore, we have a collective responsibility to protect and preserve the diverse wildlife that inhabits this area. Visitors and the government alike must treat the wildlife with utmost care and respect. Let us all strive to maintain the cleanliness of the Margalla Hills, ensuring that it remains free from both trash and immoral activities.
Ideal place for hiking. Different trails are available. Carrying Drinking water & hiking stick is suggested. Avoid hiking during rainy season as the trail gets slippery.
I have no words to explain about this place. You can see Islamabad view from here, and in the morning specially when it's a rainy day. Wow! The trails are scenic, and the views of the city are amazing. I hiked to the top and felt great about it. The air is fresh, and the hills are green and beautiful. If you like nature and hiking, you should definitely visit Margalla Hills. I highly recommend it!

Really a beautiful and stunning place in Islamabad. You will get a stunning view of the whole city and it is very exciting to watch from there. Mostly it is smoggy from over this point but it is worth it visiting there. You can see a few international tourists there and you can get a chance to meet and greet them and have some pictures. There is a small restaurant also available here and a snack shop. Please visit this place at 5 to 8 PM as it is hot and very sunny in afternoon. If you want better pictures with great colors then visit in the morning.
amazing views of the whole city. you can see the hills and faisal mosque. great views at sunset. lots of monkeys. some are hostile but most are just there doing what monkeys do.
“Daman-e-Koh offers breathtaking panoramic views of Islamabad’s skyline, including landmarks like the Faisal Mosque and Rawal Lake. Nestled in the Margalla Hills, it’s a peaceful spot perfect for family outings, romantic visits, and nature lovers. The view is especially magical at sunset. Easy access and nearby food stalls make it a must-visit Islamabad attraction.” This concise review captures the essence of the experience and the highlights most visitors appreciate.
One of many fine parks in Islamabad that is adjacent to the Margala Hills, and has lovely views to the city. Entering the place is free. The place is served with ample parking and restrooms. There is also a restaurant on-site. The place can get crowded at times, and has many walking paths. Very close to the place are some of the hiking trails of the city.
Daman-e-Koh is a beautiful viewpoint in Islamabad with breathtaking views of the entire city. A peaceful spot for families and tourists to relax and enjoy nature. Definitely worth visiting
The Dome Restaurant is having a unique and beautiful view. You can see Parliament house , PM House and Supreme court buildings. Prices are high as compared to taste. Taste 7/10
Visited Daman-e-Koh last week Thursday was very pleasant trip with my sons and nephew. what a view! 😍 The whole city of Islamabad looks so beautiful from up there. Loved the cool breeze, peaceful vibes, and the drive through the Margalla Hills. Perfect spot for a quick escape into nature! Definitely recommended!
Daman-e-Koh is a most beautiful place in Islamabad capital, if your priorities are good views, nature, relaxing atmosphere, photo-opportunities, minor hiking, and a light outing. Pleasant, peaceful environment specially after 10p.m loving sounds of nature.

Definitely, Monal was on the top list to dine out with beautiful scenery in capital Islamabad. Adventurer road, awesome service, good food worth the money. I've been there 3 times, very much satisfied with food and services. Will be missed. the restaurant is closed in 2025.
Very good view point, Very good management and services. Despite being so much rushy on the weekend they managed it soo well. Hatsoff to the management. We not only got the parking easily, Also got the table vacant too. They have appointed their staff from 3 KM range to help and guide the traffic and to keep them in lane. We tried their fish and sandwiches. Taste was good as well.
"Your restaurant is truly exceptional! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and every detail shows your passion and hard work. I really appreciate the excellent service and the effort you put into making every guest feel special. It’s one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had!"
Definitely on the top of the list is the beautiful location and environment. The service is good, it could be better knowing that they have many foreigners visiting daily and their staff can hardly communicate, let alone discuss the menu and suggest something. They should have a few dedicated servers or managers going to these tables. They really need to see how good food standards are followed internationally, what are the expectations etc. Overall experience was good. Just some positive criticism. The prices were so high that it was pointless for a common man to go to them, but still there was a good hotel restaurant. Now it's time to say goodbye. After the Supreme Court's decision, this journey has ended forever
Memorable experience. Food quality and taste is top notch. Not very value for money 😔💰. Too much expensive. But experience and view is everything. Food spice levels and sugar and salt levels are very balanced. Very tasty food. Every bite the taste is top notch and more than expected. Always jam packed. Always wait for seat reservations. Standards and customer care are top priorities.
Best experience and very nice food. The staff was too humble and their behaviour was very good. We ordered 4 platters continental,Thai, Peshawari and Italian. All of them were delicious. We were sitting in the open ,the heaters were on and the waiters were distributing fleece blankets to the people sitting there. It was a beautiful sunset and really good live music was playing. I have made a video of the overall experience and uploaded on YouTube. Do check it out if you want to.
Perfect dining experience, and I’ve complained at places that serve rs 18,000 steaks. The wait staff was very friendly, well mannered, and treated us like VIPs. The food was made exactly how we ordered it and came out fresh without any blemishes. The entire dining area and bathrooms were clean, and the view is incredible. I can’t wait to come back at different time of day to try other dishes and take more pictures!
This place once was a landmark for Islamabad now just ruins left. Did bbq here with amazing view.

It was a great experience to visit Pakistan Monument. I visited in early hours so it was empty on that time. It was nice and clean and fun to visit. I also visited the museum. It was well made and very informative related our history of independence
I had never heard let alone seen this monument before and I was so pleasantly surprised. Parking is a short walking distance away. The views, the architecture and the atmosphere were so good. There are public toilets neat the souvenir shop.

While the park itself is rather peaceful and maintained, its not an ideal point for the tourists. Free parking and free entry, the management works well maintaining the cleanliness all over the park its upto the visitors to play their part and keep it clean. As of Nov 2024 boating is prohibited.
A fine lake located in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and can be visited from several locations in these 2 sister cities. Each visiting spot is equipped with observation decks, kiosks and buying spots, and walking paths. You may also find restaurants, horse rides, and kids activities areas. Entering the lake area is free. The place can get as crowded as it gets at times. The place can get some attention; mainly the cleanliness. Expect to spend 1 hour onwards.
Rawal Lake and Rawal Dam are stunning! The scenic beauty is breathtaking, with lush green forests surrounding the lake. The area is perfect for relaxation and picnic spots, ideal for family outings. The dam offers great views, adding to its natural charm. To make the most of your visit, consider going on weekdays to avoid crowds, and be sure to respect the environment by not littering. Be prepared for changing weather conditions, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and stunning views. Overall, Rawal Lake and Rawal Dam are a must-visit destination for those seeking relaxation.
Entry is free, and parking is free. You can go there, roam around the park, enjoy the trees, and there’s also a bird-watching area. However, you have to pay for that. There are many small stalls selling various items. No boats are allowed on the lake. I noticed some really awful behavior from a grown man who took pictures and videos of two girls, which I initially thought were with him, but they actually weren’t. He secretly took the video and then walked away as if nothing had happened. I was behind him, so I saw it. Also, the security there is non-existent, so be careful.
I recently visited the lakeside, and it turned out to be a truly refreshing experience in every way. If you're someone who loves nature, photography, and a taste of fresh local food, this spot should definitely be on your list.
It is a very good place to enjoy with your friends family and your children because there are places to enjoy. There was a time when the place was considered one of the best recreation sites in the city however, over the period of time the lake capacity has reduced thus fishing and boating activity has been reduced. A must-visit for every Pakistani, especially with kids! Lok Virsa Heritage Museum is a treasure trove of Pakistan's rich traditions and cultural diversity. Every exhibit tells a story of our roots, beautifully showcasing the customs, crafts, and heritage of our people. It's a journey through time that connects you to the soul of Pakistan. Overseas Pakistanis, bring your kids here - they'll learn and love every bit of our vibrant culture! Highly recommend for a soulful, educational family experience.
It is a good place to visit especially on festive days. It has a huge museum and statues and artifacts showcasing Pakistan's rich culture and history. The museum sadly has no AC, so it's very hot. The place has bookshops and other merchants and artists as well. Overall a nice place. I feel that adding Pakistani scientists statues is important.
Lok Virsa in Islamabad offers an immersive journey through Pakistan’s cultural soul. Though the traditional crafts were slightly overpriced, each piece reflected the authentic artistry of KPK, Sindh, Balochistan, gilgit and Punjab. The highlight, however, was the food and music — rich, vibrant, and full of life. The traditional dishes were truly delectable, and the live music infused the entire place with infectious energy. A must-visit for anyone seeking Pakistan’s cultural heartbeat in one vibrant spot.
A Cultural Treasure Worth Visiting! Lok Virsa Museum is a beautiful place to explore the rich and diverse culture of Pakistan. The exhibits are thoughtfully arranged, showcasing traditional art, crafts, music, and heritage from all regions of the country. It’s a great learning experience for both locals and tourists. The only downside is that the indoor area can get quite hot, especially during summer, as there’s limited air conditioning or ventilation. Still, it’s absolutely worth a visit — just try to go in the morning or cooler months for the best experience.
Lok Virsa is the best place to quickly dive into Pakistan's rich and diverse culture. The museum does an amazing job showcasing the nation's history, beautiful traditional crafts, vibrant folk art, and regional heritage from all provinces. The detailed exhibits on cultural life, gorgeous textiles, and the Hall of Sufis and Shrines are truly worth seeing.
I visited Lok Virsa Museum recently and while the cultural display and overall atmosphere were enjoyable, there are a few areas that definitely need improvement. Firstly, the place was extremely crowded, which made it difficult to fully appreciate the exhibits and stalls. Better crowd management or designated walkways could really enhance the visitor experience. Secondly, parking needs serious attention. There didn’t seem to be a proper system in place, and visitors had to struggle to find a spot. A well-planned parking area would make the visit much more convenient. Lastly, the area where the stalls were set up was quite dusty. The ground wasn’t properly solid or paved, which caused dust clouds whenever people walked by. If the management could solidify or properly prepare the surface, it would make the environment much cleaner and more comfortable. Overall, Lok Virsa is a great place to explore culture and craftsmanship, but with a few improvements in infrastructure and management, it could offer a far better experience for everyone.
Lok Virsa Museum is an absolute must-visit for anyone in Islamabad, whether you're a local or a tourist. It's not just a museum; it's a vibrant journey through the heart of Pakistan's diverse cultural heritage. Tucked away in the beautiful Shakarparian Hills, the museum offers a refreshing and educational experience. The exhibits are incredibly well-curated, showcasing a rich tapestry of handicrafts, textiles, musical instruments, and traditional attire from all corners of the country. I particularly enjoyed the sections dedicated to the regional craftsmanship, where you can see intricate embroidery from Sindh, stunning woodwork from Punjab, and colorful pottery from Balochistan. The life-size dioramas depicting rural life and artisans at work are a fantastic way to visualize the country's folk traditions. The museum's architecture itself is a treat, reflecting traditional Pakistani styles that blend seamlessly with the lush, green surroundings. The outdoor spaces are perfect for a leisurely stroll, offering a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The presence of a cultural library, a souvenir shop with authentic handicrafts, and a café make it a complete experience. It's a place that sparks curiosity and instills a deep appreciation for the customs and history of Pakistan. A visit here takes about 2-3 hours, but you could easily spend more time exploring every detail. It's a truly enriching and memorable experience for families, students, and anyone with an interest in culture and history The administration needs to install some screens in every gallery to give the people a digital visual roundup of the related history.
The Lok Virsa Museum in Islamabad is a wonderful place to learn about Pakistan’s rich culture and traditions. Located at Shakarparian Hills, the museum has many galleries that show our local crafts, colorful clothes, musical instruments, pottery, woodwork, and jewelry from all parts of the country. The section about Sufi saints is very special, with beautiful art and poetry that touches the heart. I really liked the life-sized displays of village homes and workshops—it felt like stepping into history. The museum is very family-friendly. There is plenty of parking space, and you can easily spend a few hours here with kids. There are food stalls nearby, lots of trees for shade, and benches where you can sit and relax. Sometimes there are cultural shows and festivals that make the visit even more fun. I didn’t take photos inside because I wanted to respect the place and it’s rules. A great place for families, students, and anyone who loves our culture!

Lake View Park Islamabad truly impressed me! I was amazed to see the lively atmosphere even past midnight—families and friends enjoying picnics, music, and the soothing sound of guitars under the night sky. 🎶 It’s the perfect spot for a fun outing, and I’d highly recommend it for both locals and foreign tourists looking to experience the beauty and vibe of Islamabad. A must-visit!
Lake View Park offers a experience defined by its stark contrasts. On a positive note, the main draw is, without a doubt, its stunning natural scenery. Many visitors, like one reviewer, are completely captivated, calling it a "must-see" with "absolutely breathtaking" views that become a highlight of their trip. The entrance is free, the park is generally clean with active CDA presence, and the availability of small kiosks selling snacks and drinks allows visitors to relax and enjoy a picnic by the water. However, the park's management and maintenance are highly inconsistent, leading to significant frustration. A large number of visitors report a severe decline in facilities. Previously popular attractions like boat rides are now absent, and many former restaurants stand closed and derelict. There are reports of rusting equipment and a general air of abandonment, with one reviewer bluntly labeling it a "complete waste of time" due to the lack of upkeep. The presence of beggars can also detract from the experience for some. To be brief, Lake View Park’s natural beauty remains its strongest asset, making it a worthwhile stop for a free, simple picnic with a fantastic view. However, manage your expectations. Do not visit expecting functioning rides or high-end amenities. It is a place to bring your own blanket, enjoy the lake's vista, and hope that future restoration efforts can match the potential of its location.
The park is a Part of the national park . Which is vast and green . With great view on big lake . There is parking area at entrance with booth control for cars , after that long walk path with trees and gardens on both sides , birds area , gaming , racing area . Many Dukkan ( mini shops ) are available . Good for families and friends to spend time . Pleasant nature , green area around . Peaceful and quiet . Many guys stop you ask to take photo for you . You may deal about price . near the lake there is so much mosquitos . On the lake there is option to have paid tour on boats . Overall highly recommened .
Lake Park View is a must-see! The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. I was blown away by how beautiful it was. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip. I highly recommend checking it out if you're ever in the area.
This is a nice place; the entrance is free, and it’s always clean. The CDA is very active here, and a lot of people visit. There are also plenty of shops where you can get cool drinks along with samosas, fries, etc., and you can enjoy them while relaxing by the lake.
This place used to be great when there were facilities and management here such as boat rides and maintenance of this place but now it is clearly abandoned and should be labeled as abandoned because there is nothing left here. the restaurants have been closed the seats are just lying around there catching rust nothing is managed or looked after and it was a complete waste of time there. I would never visit here again. the only case is if you’re bored and have nothing better to do in life then yes you can come here. And the combination of baggers and global warming have ruined the beauty of this place. And not to mention the amount of hundreds of dead dogs in the lake 🤢 Ruined my day as it was the last place I was visiting during my stay in Islamabad. If you’re planning to come here come around 6 PM and there is a fun horror house there you can visit that or just enjoy the beauty of nature and abandonment. There was trash everywhere on the lake coast smelly environment.overrated place. There were washrooms, washrooms for disabled, food stalls, a shop for girls accessories and lots of trees. The horror house, a shooting range (not sure about availability), A birds park and much more
The lake was beautiful, especially at sunset. Aside from the scenic views, there are several other attractions such as the bird aviary, rides, and more. However, there aren’t any lake-related activities like boating.
Lakeview Park used to be a beautiful place, but it’s honestly disappointing to see how much it has declined. The lake has a strong smell now, the grass is mostly dry, and the overall maintenance feels ignored. Even the food options have dropped in quality, which makes the visit less enjoyable. It’s sad because this park used to be a great spot for families and friends, but right now it really needs serious attention and proper upkeep.

A refreshing spot with lots of greenery and trees planted by the hands of famous personalities. We had dinner at Tahir Khan Restaurant (TKR), and the food was delicious with a nice place to sit and relax.
Shakarparian Park holds a special place in Islamabad; not just for its natural beauty, but also for its deep historical significance. After a relaxed family lunch at the nearby TKR restaurant, we took a stroll through the park, and the experience was truly refreshing. The light drizzle added a quiet, soothing vibe to the whole atmosphere. One of the highlights is the iconic viewpoint where the master plan of Islamabad was officially approved on May 24, 1960, in a special meeting presided over by Field Marshal Mohammad Ayub Khan, the then President of Pakistan. Standing at that spot, overlooking the city, you can actually feel the weight of history and the vision that went into shaping this beautiful capital. The park itself is peaceful, green, and clean—ideal for family outings, casual walks, or just a moment to take in the views. It’s not crowded, well-maintained, and has a calming energy that’s hard to find elsewhere. Definitely a must-visit if you want to enjoy both nature and a piece of Pakistan’s history in one go.
Shakarparyan National Park is truly the green heart of Islamabad, offering much more than just a park experience—it's a blend of stunning natural beauty, panoramic city views, and immense national history. My recent visit reaffirmed why this spot is a mandatory stop for both locals and tourists. The most compelling feature is undoubtedly the Shakarparyan View Point. Situated on a central hill, it provides breathtaking, uninterrupted 360-degree views of the entire capital. You can clearly see the iconic Faisal Mosque shimmering in the distance, the vast expanse of Rawal Lake, and the Red Zone buildings, all framed by the beautiful Margalla Hills. Visiting in the late afternoon for the sunset is highly recommended; the city lights gradually twinkling to life beneath you are simply magical. Adjacent to the park is the spectacular Pakistan Monument and Museum, which adds profound cultural significance to the location. The monument itself is a work of art, and the museum offers an insightful journey through the nation's history. It's fantastic that you can combine a serene nature walk with a valuable educational experience in a single visit. The park itself is well-maintained, featuring wide, clean walking and jogging tracks perfect for an early morning stroll or an evening walk. There are ample, shaded picnic spots and the famous 'Head of State Tree' plantation area, where international dignitaries have planted trees—a unique touch. While parking can sometimes be a bit limited during peak hours, the general atmosphere is peaceful, clean, and secure. If you are seeking an escape from the city hustle without leaving the city, Shakarparyan National Park offers the perfect retreat. It’s a wonderful place to relax, reflect, take amazing photographs, and appreciate the vision behind Islamabad’s beautiful design. Highly recommended for families, nature lovers, and history enthusiasts alike.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Shakarparian Park is one of the most beautiful and peaceful spots in Islamabad! 🌿🌺 The park offers breathtaking views of the entire city, especially from the top viewpoint where you can see the Faisal Mosque and the Margalla Hills. It’s a perfect place for families, couples, and nature lovers who want to relax and enjoy calm surroundings. The park is clean, well-maintained, and full of greenery. There are plenty of sitting areas, walking tracks, and shaded spots to enjoy picnics or evening tea. The fresh air and cool breeze make every visit refreshing and memorable. 🌄 It’s also an excellent place for photography and sightseeing, with nearby attractions like the Pakistan Monument and Lok Virsa. The management and security are good, and the environment feels safe for everyone. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Islamabad — Shakarparian Park is pure peace and natural beauty combined! 💚🇵🇰👏

Rose & Jasmine Garden is a worthwhile spot in Islamabad for nature lovers, families, or anyone wanting a short respite from the city. It has great potential: beautiful flowers, good location, decent amenities. If well maintained, it can be truly excellent. Right now it seems to be a mixed bag: parts are lovely, others need work. If you go, going during weekdays or off-peak hours gives a better experience (less crowd; facilities more likely to be better). If you're interested, I can check up-to-date condition photos or recent visitor reports to see how it's holding up now. Do you want that?
Today I visited Shakarparian Park and Museum, trash is everywhere. Administration must take responsibility also take action against person throwing trash and penalize with fine. Very disappointed to see this beautiful place
Love this place. Often visit from Express way but discovered new road that goes from Kashmir Highway and is better as a scenery point of view and lesser/no traffic. Beautiful view of Islamabad, Rainy season makes it amazing though. This place has Pakistan History Museum as well. In road to this place, we often visit Lok Versa (my favorite musium).

Visiting a bird sanctuary is a wonderful way to learn about different species. It's fascinating to observe their behaviors and habitats firsthand. The educational programs offered at these sanctuaries are informative for both adults and children. Learning about conservation efforts is crucial for protecting these beautiful creatures. I highly recommend a visit to anyone interested in nature and wildlife.
A must-visit for bird lovers and families with kids! If you enjoy the soothing chirping and sweet melodies of a wide variety of birds, this place is a real treat. It’s especially delightful for children and nature enthusiasts. Though the Aviary was better maintained during my visit a few years ago, it still offers a wonderful experience and is definitely worth a visit.
Very nice place to interact with hundreds of types of birds. Went there on a weekend, but it wasn’t very crowded. Found the parking easily too. Birds are kept in the open in a large netted tent, they can fly around too.
Pretty good, quite large over all maintained The staff detailed at tame large birds section was v active and was eagerly letting visitors hold the birds Just music playing in background was not in accordance to the environment
The Birdhouse at Lakeview Park in Islamabad is an absolute gem! With over 350 bird species and more than 5000 birds, it’s a paradise for bird lovers. The aviary is beautifully maintained, offering a serene and immersive experience. Walking through the park, you can see a variety of birds, from colorful parrots to majestic peacocks. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making the visit even more enjoyable. It’s a perfect spot for families and nature enthusiasts. Highly recommend visiting this wonderful place

This is a very peaceful and nature-filled trail in Islamabad. Please take care of the environment. It's a safe place for families and couples to spend quality time together ❤️. There are multiple waterfalls, especially during the monsoon season, which are fed by heavy rainfall. 🌧 ❤️
Serene, beautiful and waterfalls rich trail which interconnects with other trails. Good for experts and beginners alike. Options of short trail/ hike of 5 kms till 10 plus Kms are abundant.
Beautiful, peaceful, and full of life! Trail 5 offers stunning views, fresh air, and lush greenery - a perfect escape for nature lovers.Great Experience!!💫
Trail 5 in the Margalla Hills is, without a doubt, the most scenic and rewarding of the central Islamabad trails. While Trail 3 is shorter and steeper, Trail 5 offers a genuine escape into the wilderness, feeling far more secluded and natural. It's an excellent, well-maintained route for hikers of moderate fitness, offering a perfect blend of challenging climbs and relatively flat, easy walking sections, especially near the start. The best feature is the beautiful, clear water stream that runs alongside a significant portion of the track. This provides a refreshing atmosphere, especially on a warmer morning, and the sounds of the water are incredibly peaceful. If you are aiming for the top, the hike to Pir Sohawa Road (where you can continue to Monal Restaurant or get a ride down) takes about 2.5 to 3 hours at a steady pace. Be sure to check out the initial waterfall area—it's a fantastic spot for a short break. Wear proper hiking shoes, carry plenty of water (as shops are limited past the entrance), and watch out for the occasional friendly monkey! This trail is highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a deep dive into nature right on the city's doorstep. A truly rejuvenating experience.
So much scenematic view, splashing water, birds voices and for beginner hikers this is ideal place. Can go with kids and family as well start 2km is flat path. Really amazing place.
Trail 5 is a very peaceful and tourist-friendly spot. You can even enjoy bathing here, just like in a village stream. For trekking lovers, it’s an ideal place to visit.
Amazing experience it was we started the hike and then picked up a wrong trail and almost got lost and the wrong path was a steep as a wall and we got tired earlier and could not make to reach to the top
Watching and memorizable place .Such a challenge and Natural view highly recommend for all families and students/tourist because it is a tourism place .

Very historical, spiritual and heritage related location. Guide name "Riyasat Ali" did amazing job. Visited after a long time. Was an amazing trip. Most attractive item is Baba e Qoom Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah personal railway compartment and salon. Museum was also very well organized and managed. Another interesting item is Kingston Ontario Canada build Steam Railway locomotive.
Golra Railway Station is a charming step back in time, with its well-preserved Victorian architecture and vintage locomotives. It's more than just a station; it's a living museum showcasing Pakistan's railway heritage. While not a major transportation hub anymore, it's a must-visit for history buffs and train enthusiasts. The on-site museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the past, and the tranquil surroundings make it a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or a picnic.
The Golra Historical Railway Station, situated in the picturesque suburb of Golra Sharif near Islamabad, Pakistan, is a captivating relic of the British colonial era. Established in 1882, it was a significant part of the North Western Railway network, serving as a crucial junction that linked Rawalpindi with other regions of the country. This architectural marvel seamlessly combines Victorian and Mughal design elements, making it a visual delight for history and architecture enthusiasts alike. The station's exterior features grand arches, ornate facades, and a striking clock tower that stands as a beacon of the bygone era. The lush gardens surrounding the station add to its charm, creating a serene ambiance that transports visitors back in time. The interiors are equally mesmerizing, with high wooden ceilings, antique furniture, and vintage railway memorabilia adorning the waiting rooms and ticket counters. This railway station transcends its utilitarian purpose; it's a hidden gem complete with a small museum. The architecture is captivating, complemented by an awe-inspiring surrounding. Road access is challenging through a narrow street with no parking facility. Despite this, the railway line and station remain functional for signaling. Transforming this into a designated tourist spot and implementing measures for visitors could elevate its status and charm.
This railway station is one of the finest historical sites that exudes the scent of bygone memories. It is an ideal destination for families, especially those with a passion for history. The location boasts of two railway galleries that are incredibly intriguing, displaying vintage engines and railway carriages. The staff is remarkably courteous and welcoming. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review Safa Gold Mall is one of the best malls in Islamabad! The environment is clean, well-maintained and very comfortable for families. The variety of brands, shops and food options is impressive, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful compared to other crowded malls. The staff is polite, the building is beautifully designed, and the shopping experience is always smooth and enjoyable. Parking and accessibility are also convenient. Highly recommended for shopping, dining and spending quality time!
Very good and cosy mall, not too many people and you have mostly everything you need. I frequently visit Adidas , Nike or Cambridge for clothes since they are all imported and last a long time but there is no shortage of local brands as well. There are soo many discounts in this mall and that is another reason to go here. Parking is a nightmare so bring a driver or park far away, if your lucky you can get parking in the malls areas if not then you have to do some cardio.
Safa Gold Mall is one of the well-maintained and attractive shopping malls in Islamabad. The location is excellent, and the mall offers a wide range of stores including clothing brands, footwear, cosmetics, jewelry, and mobile accessories. The environment is clean, comfortable, and family-friendly, with decent security throughout the building. The escalators and elevators work smoothly, and the air-conditioning makes the mall very comfortable, especially during summer. The parking area is adequate, although it can get crowded during peak hours. The food court has some good options, but adding more variety would make the experience even better. Overall, Safa Gold Mall is a good place for shopping, hanging out, or spending time with family. While there is still room for improvement in a few areas, it remains one of the nicer and more convenient malls in F-7.
Luxurious fashionable Mall , with stylish exterior design and good interior quality . The mall contains 6 floors . The square of each floor is not that big but decent enough to harbor many shops . "I recently had the opportunity to visit this sprawling park, and while it has tremendous potential, it's a bit of a mixed bag. The jogging and walking track is fantastic - well-laid out and perfect for a morning or evening stroll. It's great to see a space that encourages people to get out and be active. The scenery is lovely, with plenty of trees and greenery, and it's a great spot to clear your mind and get some exercise. However, the park desperately needs some attention when it comes to maintenance. While the main track has decent lighting, the rest of the park is pretty dark, making it hard to explore the various areas. It's a shame, because there are some truly amazing monuments scattered throughout the park that are worth checking out. They're beautifully designed and offer a glimpse into the country's rich history and culture. The mosque on the premises is another highlight - it's a beautiful spot for reflection and contemplation. The architecture is stunning, and it's clear that a lot of thought and care went into its design. It's a peaceful oasis in the midst of the bustling city, and it's a great place to visit for anyone looking for a spiritual experience. If the park's management could focus on improving the lighting and maintenance, this place could be truly spectacular. With a bit of TLC, the park could be a real gem, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Maybe add some more benches and seating areas, improve the pathways, and make sure the facilities are clean and well-maintained. With some attention to detail, this park could be a real showstopper. For now, it's worth visiting for the track and the monuments, but it's clear that there's a lot of potential waiting to be tapped. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit - just be sure to bring a flashlight if you plan on exploring the darker areas of the park!"
I visited this park in my recent islamabad tour and i was amazed a huge lush greenery area for park is reserved in Islamabad that is covered almost a sector area. Walk track bicycle track are also available in park and many other healthy activities can be played in this park. Many monument built here to attract the people. Family and children area also available here. I wonder to visited this park and also happy. I recommend to all must visit the park once.
This park is a true blessing for Islamabad residents! With gates on all sides, it's easily accessible. The abundance of walking tracks, sprawling lawns, children's play areas, and a cricket ground make it a perfect spot for families and fitness enthusiasts alike. I wish the government would take good care of this park, maintaining its beauty and ensuring it remains a treasured gem that enhances the city's charm.
F-9 Park, officially known as Fatima Jinnah Park, is unequivocally the green heart of Islamabad and an essential visit for residents and tourists alike. Spanning a vast Area—effectively an entire sector—it provides a crucial, expansive escape from the city’s concrete jungle. Its sheer size means you can genuinely lose yourself in nature, a rare luxury in a modern capital. The park’s primary strength lies in its excellent infrastructure for physical activity. The well-maintained, dedicated walking and jogging tracks are fantastic, making it the perfect spot for morning exercise, cycling, or just a leisurely evening stroll. With the picturesque Margalla Hills serving as a backdrop, the environment is both serene and motivational. Beyond the tracks, the park is a hub of varied activities. There’s a large, well-equipped children's play area that keeps families coming back, and open lawns are always filled with people picnicking or playing casual sports. Facilities like the outdoor gym stations and dedicated recreational complex (Leisure Arena/Gandhara Citizen Club) further enhance its utility. I also appreciate the efforts toward sustainability, including the visible solar power plant. While a few sections, particularly near the gates, can get crowded, the park’s immense size allows for tranquility in its inner areas, which feel more like a wildlife sanctuary. It's truly a testament to Islamabad's planning and remains free of charge for general entry, making it accessible to everyone. F-9 Park is more than just a park; it's a vital community space that is essential for the city’s well-being. Highly recommended for fitness enthusiasts, families, and anyone seeking fresh air.
Dated 4th Nov, 2025 Today, visited this beautiful park, green belt, and an amazing space for out door exercises, walk, running, some calm alone time and study etc.. This park is situated in the center of Islamabad, so it can facilitate a lot of people and it is kept facilitating. It covers a lot of area and today, i didn't get the time and chance to explore it fully, but I will try to explore it completely as soon as i get the time. RECOMMENDED
Nature all around (as much as a big city can have).. peaceful environment and wide area for a walk, stroll, jogging or even playing.. i love the calm of this place that doesn’t matter how much crowd is there, there’s still a silent side… spent a number of birthdays, eids and regular evenings there and made a whole lot of memories there… i hope they never convert it into a commercial area or whatever the rumours are saying.. it’s perfect the way it is…
Very good park in the heart of islamabad. Play ground and children play area need more attention to make park more prominent. But you can spend a good day with family.
F-9 Park, also known as Fatima Jinnah Park, is one of Islamabad’s largest and most well-maintained public parks, offering a calm and refreshing escape from the city’s routine. Spread across a vast area, the park provides a rare combination of open green spaces, jogging tracks, family picnic spots, and recreational facilities. It is particularly popular among joggers, walkers, and fitness enthusiasts due to its long, well-paved tracks that allow you to run or walk without interruption. The park’s environment is clean, peaceful, and ideal for anyone looking to unwind. The greenery is extensive, with plenty of trees, landscaped areas, and open fields that give a feeling of openness that few other places in Islamabad offer. Families often visit for picnics, and children have ample space to play safely. The security presence inside the park is also notable, which adds to the comfort of visitors during morning and evening hours. In addition to natural beauty, F-9 Park includes facilities like the Megazone complex, indoor games, a cafeteria, and dedicated areas for events. Whether you want to exercise, take photos, relax, or spend quality time with friends and family, the park caters to almost every need. Overall, F-9 Park stands out as one of Islamabad’s most enjoyable and accessible public spaces, consistently offering a clean and refreshing experience.
