This lake is quite vast. Visitors with more energy can enjoy a pedal boat ride, while others can opt for a boat operated by an authorized person. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance. Around the lake, there is a scenic road where people can rent bicycles or enjoy a horse ride in the evening.

⚠️ Please note: The area remains closed during heavy rainfall due to slippery conditions in the forest, so plan your visit accordingly. 🌲 The trail begins with a few steps leading downward, followed by a scenic walk along a sloping hillside. The views of the lake and surrounding pine trees are absolutely stunning. 🐎 Horse riding is available and highly recommended—the hilly terrain makes the experience even more enjoyable. It costs ₹200 per person, and the staff will take photos and videos using your own phone.

Pillar Rock is breathtakingly beautiful! The towering rock formations and stunning views are simply mesmerizing. The scenic spot offers ample photo opportunities, and the surrounding landscape is perfect for a leisurely stroll. A must-visit destination for nature lovers and photographers. If you want to enjoy the tranquility and serenity of this place, Do make a visit on early hours. Otherwise this spot become too crowded and unable to enjoy it. Highly recommended! Best place for nature lovers. It was best part of my Kodai visit. It is part of the reserve forest and requires permit to enter, private cars are not allowed inside. You can park your car near the entrance at Moir Point and take forest jeep to reach the lake which is around 10km inside for around Rs.300. Also you can ask your hotel or taxi company for forest tour package which will cost around Rs.3000 to and from your hotel.

Bryant Park is an absolute gem, and a visit here truly feels like stepping into a tranquil oasis right in the heart of the city. From the moment I entered, I was struck by its incredible beauty and lush greenery. The meticulously maintained lawns and vibrant trees created such a picturesque setting that I honestly felt transported to a charming European country. It's rare to find such a peaceful and aesthetically pleasing place that offers such a delightful escape from urban hustle. Beyond its stunning appearance, the park is remarkably neat and clean, which significantly adds to its appeal. Even the washroom facilities were impeccably maintained, which is always a welcome sign and speaks volumes about the care taken in the park's upkeep. Bryant Park is a must-visit for anyone seeking a serene and beautiful environment. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, a quiet read, or simply to soak in the peaceful atmosphere. I can't recommend it enough!

Also called Devil’s Kitchen, Guna Caves are full of deep and narrow gaps that feel thrilling when you stand near the fence. When I visited, the skies were not clear, so the surrounding views were not visible, also it was quite crowded and there was hardly any space for photos. One of the most striking sights here are the tree roots, which twist and spread in fascinating patterns — almost like nature’s own artwork — and you can easily find pictures of them online. Small shops nearby offer snacks and souvenirs, but the main charm is the adventurous and slightly eerie atmosphere combined with these unique natural formations.

It’s one of the popular places in Kodaikanal. The temple is small yet beautiful and the views from there are spectacular. The temple is maintained well and new hall is being constructed. The roads are tidy and parking space is very limited. There are lots of shops and residences surrounding it. One of the best places in the town.

If you want to have a majestic view os Kodaikanal lake, this is the place for you. Looks stunning when you have a clear sky. The place looks beautiful during winter and monsoon

One of the most beautiful lakes in south India. The backdrop was like something from the Himalayan meadows, and the climate was incredible! We had a great time going on a boat ride, which they call in Tamil "Parisal". You get to do these 360 degree stunts due to its circular structure. Overall worth a visit.

Overall, Bear Shola Falls is a beautiful waterfall that is worth visiting. If you are planning a trip to Kodaikanal, be sure to add Bear Shola Falls to your itinerary. The falls themselves are not very large, but they are very beautiful. The water cascades down a rocky cliff, and the surrounding forest is lush and green. The best time to visit Bear Shola Falls is during the monsoon season, from September to December. However, the falls are also beautiful during the other seasons.

One of the best trekking experiences deep down from top view to bottom view. The place where you can see two solid rocks standing edge of the hill side. Awesome experience bot not suitable for old people who can't climb in solid steps through rocks and roots of the trees.

Excellent museum ! So fascinating ! We get to see preserved skins of animals like snakes, frog, panther, bear, birds, etc. Then preserved bodies of foetus stages. Bones of skull, elephant, panther, tiger, snakes, etc. Definitely worth it !!! 😍😍

Our stay at Alpine Haven in Vattakanal was peaceful and truly memorable. We reached Kodaikanal by public bus and had to take a cab to Vattakanal since there are no direct buses available. The cab ride from the bus stand cost us around ₹500. Once we reached near Altaf Café, there was a bit of a climb — the property is located on top of a hill, around 200–300 meters uphill. While the trek was manageable for us, it might be a bit challenging for elderly guests. But once you reach the place, the experience is totally worth it. The room was cozy, built entirely with wood, making it warm and comfortable despite the chilly weather outside. There’s no fan, but you won’t need one — the mountain air takes care of that. The view from the room is stunning — not a valley view, but a beautiful mountain view. The large glass windows let you enjoy the scenic beauty right from inside the room, and with the curtains open, it's just breathtaking. Clouds drift by during the day and the whole area gets covered in mist by evening, which adds to the magical feel. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. One minor thing to note is that the room didn’t have a mirror (only in the bathroom), but we informed the host and they said they’d be adding one soon. In terms of food, they have an in-house restaurant which serves really good food. We preferred dining in the room itself — while there’s a slight markup (₹10–20), it was convenient and the food was delicious. A special mention to their momos — they were absolutely amazing and a must-try! There are also a few other restaurant options nearby if you feel like exploring. Another plus is the location — Dolphin’s Nose and Vattakanal Falls are within walking distance (about 30 minutes), perfect for a short hike. Overall, my wife and I had a wonderful time. If you’re looking for a quiet, cozy escape in the mountains with beautiful views and good food, Alpine Haven is definitely worth a visit. We’d love to return!
