If you want to go on the dam, tickets are available at park gate which no one told us so we walked all the way and then had to leave since we didn't have tickets. Park is very badly maintained with most of the attractions in a very bad state. Overall, an average visit.

The food, stay and the hospitality by the tribal people was awesome. The only place we had issues with the guide. Better to plan in Feb or March as you can see many animals due to summer. Kudos to the food preparation

A guest house inside a deep forest maintained by kerela eco tourism. You can spot deers peacocks and sometimes elephants near this stay. The overall experience is amazing. But only drawback was even if drinking and smoking is banned here few tourist were drinking and smoking and created lot of chaos there. That ruined the place. Do not do that

Visited Palakkad Fort on a holiday and it was almost empty except for a few workers. The calm and peaceful atmosphere made it a relaxing stop. It's a wonderful experience. Ropeways of 20 minutes is present for Rs71 and fast track is also available at a little higher price. The service is available till 7pm. Its a wonderful view point in nelliyampathy. This view point doesn't have any entry ticket byt there is a 20 rs charge for the parking. From the parking there is only around 400 m walk to the view point. We need to visit there at a good weather. A slight rain may get a good fog there. I dont prefer this destination in summer.

Nelliyampathy is a beautiful and alluring destination. It requires a 300-meter walk to reach the viewpoint, and there is no entrance fee; only a parking fee is required. The path to the viewpoint is adorned with beautiful trees, tea gardens, and a cool breeze. However, it's important to beware of the monkeys and refrain from carrying any visible food items, as they can be very aggressive, especially around children. The viewpoint offers a stunning vista of Palakkad, including the paddy fields. Despite this beauty, I believe there are untapped opportunities to attract more tourists, but the authorities have yet to take action. Furthermore, the roads to Seethargund are in a deplorable state, despite it being a major tourist destination. The authorities have neglected the road's maintenance for a long time, and it remains narrow, making it difficult to accommodate other vehicles.

A week before i went here. Seethargundu viewpoint is awesome. you can see the mist and clouds passing on simultaneously . From here you can watch the water falls . Such a wonderful place and nice experience . But be careful if you carry your children because there is no barricades to restrict & carefully handle your items safe from the monkeys also😅

Powerful & Divine Shiva temple located in Kalpathy. This is one of the famous ancient temples in Palakkad-Kerala. Beautiful Temple. Neat & Clean & well maintained. Separate Sanidhanams available for Gods & Goddess. Festivals are conducted in a grand manner. One must visit this temple to get the Blessings of Lord Shiva.

The temple and the surrounding provide a special ambiance to the visitors. I have visited there during this festival, unlike the other temples in kerala they controlled the noise pollution. Even it is the festival season, they installed only two speakers used only for chanting. The public visitors also do silent chanting makes a different vibe. It is advisable to visit there.

I had the chance to visit this place during the prestigious Kalpathy Radholsavam, and it was truly fascinating to witness the vibrant culture and festivities. As expected, the event drew a large crowd, adding to the lively atmosphere. The celebration offers a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the local traditions. However, one aspect I didn’t enjoy was watching an elephant being used to push one of the rathams—it felt unsettling. On the other hand, another ratham was moved using a JCB, which I found to be a practical and humane approach. Overall, it’s an incredible cultural experience, though certain practices could benefit from more modern and considerate alternatives.

The place is marvellous and the arts are really impressive, visited during Christmas holidays and the place was dreadful, it’s not maintained at all, mostly abandoned places where young couples were romantically involved. Can’t take children here, adults have nothing to enjoy. Definitely not worth the 25rs.

Actually, it's a couple's spot! Recently, I visited this place while I was in Malampuzha. Unfortunately, the Malampuzha Garden was closed for renovations, so my colleagues and I decided to find an alternative. We discovered this place on Google and decided to check it out. When we arrived, the exterior looked small and cramped. However, once we entered, we found it to be surprisingly spacious and pleasant for walking around. The only issue was that there were couples in nearly every corner, which made me feel like I was intruding on their time together! If you're planning to visit this place with family, I suggest reconsidering. There isn't much to see here; it's mainly filled with broken stones and fragments, which have been used to create sculptures, designs, and walls. That's about it. Best wishes to all the couples who visit!

Legendary teak tree in Parambikulam Tiger Reserve. It is very tall and huge. It is one of the biggest and oldest living teak trees in the world. Tourists who visit is try to encircle it with extended arms. Even if three people join their arms and try to encircle it, they can't because it is so large. It is supposed to be more than 500 years old. It has cultural significance for the tribal people. They regard it as sacred and say that it bled when some attempted to cut it down.

The authorities could have provided better washroom facilities for tourists.

Nice trekking journey for 4km with local guide. Beautiful waterfall at the top. Bathing allowed, but should be more careful. Only two batches allowed per day 10.30AM n 1.30 PM. So plan accordingly.

It is an intense trekking place for forest, stream and waterfall lovers. Dhoni is a place to visit at least once if you are interested in seeing elephants and wild animals, silent forests and a 3hrs walk in the forest breathing pure oxygen.

Nice location. Water level can cary between seasons. It's good from July to October. Then water level reduces. Clear water. Nice place for a dip. Very cold water. This place can only be accessed after hiking of 4 kms uphill . You will need to go with a guide from Forrest department..you can't go alone. There are tickets as well. Call them to get the timings. The last session of the day is at 1 pm

This place is great for a weekend hike. You need to get a ticket from the counter for 120 ₹. The hike happens as batches, one at 10:30AM and the other starts at 1:30PM. It's 8km in total to and fro to trek. There will be a guide & two dogs accompanying you during the hike. Carry water and snacks if needed. Please don't throw plastics in the forest. Note: Please call and confirm before visiting as they might be closed in-between days. Also go half an hour before the batch starts because if members in a batch go more than a certain number, they will close the gate and will only allow you to attend the next batch.

Every turn revealed a new wonder - from vibrant flora to glimpses of wildlife.Monsoon season transforms the falls into a roaring spectacle, but be extra cautious due to slippery rocks. The anticipation of reaching the waterfalls kept spirits high. While the trek was challenging at times, the reward was undeniably worth it. Remember to respect the forest by not littering and sticking to the trails. The waterfall can be dangerous, so always follow your guide's instructions. It's a challenging but rewarding hike, so wear comfortable shoes and carry water. The final sight of Dhoni Waterfalls cascading down the rocks was breathtaking. It's an experience that nature lovers and adventure seekers shouldn't miss!

Had an amazing experience at the fantasy theme park which just located near Malampuzha dam, 5mins drive from malampuzha dam. The dry games were super fun, the Sky drop Tower was the highlight, giving a real adrenaline rush as it shot up and dropped us down in seconds! The water games were just exciting. There’s this one capsule ride where you stand inside and suddenly the floor drops- it’s wild and thrilling! It’s a perfect fun with family, friends and relatives with laughter and adventure.

The park maintained good safety standards, and we appreciated the relaxed dress code. While the dry rides were average, they were still enjoyable. We had a terrific time. Decent games. Wonderful green environment. The rides were well maintained. Only complaint was the very limited number of floats in water games. Also people the water game infrastructure does not support people beyond 80 kgs. This should be informed in advance. Because of this, children who were supposed to ride the wave with parents , some of them had to go alone . So the experience was limited to that effect . Some water slides were steep and we felt the protection/ sides could be slightly higher to avoid slipping or falling. Nothing of that sort happened..but the fear was there . Rest all were wonderful. For those who fear heights in water games ..there were other water game options, a thoroughly enjoyable factor. Freefall ride was amazing . Gyroscope was adventurous yet nice. Senior citizens do have price concessions. The place is worth visiting

Fantasy park is an affordable locale for school excursions and all. Even though, we went to Fantasy Park on a weekend, the crowd was minimal and therefore we didn't have to wait in long queues. Water rides and other amenities felt really entertaning, for the price. Food served was delicious for the price. And as students you could get discounts. Enquire in the office regarding the same.

For Rs.750 per head, it's definitely worth it, rather having few rides to explore you really can have lots of fun. Worth it! Recommended if you're planning to spend a one day out. Definitely worth the try.

I recently visited Fantasy Park in Coimbatore, and it was such an enjoyable experience! The food court inside offers decent options at reasonable prices, and there are shaded rest areas to relax between rides. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a full day with family or friends. Fantasy Park, Malampuzha – One of Kerala’s First Water Theme Parks Fantasy Park, located near Malampuzha Dam in Palakkad, is one of the first and most well-known water theme parks in Kerala. While the park has been serving visitors for decades, it still manages to offer a decent family experience with a mix of water rides and dry attractions. The water quality is well-maintained, and safety measures are reasonably implemented. However, most of the rides are older, with only two newer additions spotted during our recent visit. To remain competitive, the park would benefit from periodic upgrades and innovations, especially considering the entry fee structure which is similar to that of larger parks. Weekends, vacations, and holidays tend to get overcrowded, so plan your visit on weekdays if you prefer a calmer experience. A major positive aspect of our visit was the excellent service provided by the restaurant staff—friendly, attentive, and efficient. Overall, Fantasy Park offers a nostalgic and enjoyable outing, especially for families and children, though it would greatly benefit from infrastructure upgrades and new attractions.

Malampuzha yakshi built by famous sculptor kanayi kunjiraman .. and has become the iconic structure of malampuzha dam . It is a concrete structure made on 1969 .. the statue is 30 feet high . This naked statue and its sensuality once became the reason for protests by the traditionalists ..

Nice place to visit with family and couples. There are rope car available for that they are charging 71 rupees for head. There is boating also available to enjoy. They are charging 450 rupees for 6 members in the boating and also hanging bridge also available to walk. Inside park there are yakshi statue and few coffee shops also available.

The statue is colossal in size and is created out of a single section of rock. The skillfulness and the creativity behind the statue are remarkable, and it leaves the spectator spellbound. It is one of the must-see attractions in Malampuzha and can be combined with a trip to the damsite and gardens. Evenings spent in the Malampuzha Gardens are made spectacular by the presence of this magnificent marvel carved out of stone. Yakshi, a 30-foot tall nude statue which has been one of the biggest tourist attractions in Kerala's Palakkad District is getting a makeover, 50 years after it was installed. The Yakshi statue is located in Malampuzha Gardens, near the Malampuzha Dam, one of the well known tourist spots in the area. The statue of the demigoddess depicts her in a voluptuous posture with her hair unlocked and legs stretching forward with eyes half-opened. The iconic statue which has now become synonymous with Malampuzha was sculpted by legendary sculpture Kanayi Kunhiraman in the year 1969. Kunhiraman who sculpted the enchanting statue at the age of 30 is now busy giving a facelift to one of his most celebrated works at the age of 81. According to PTI, Kunhiraman wants to give the 30 ft-structure bronze plating to help it withstand the test of time and keep it for the posterity without any damage. “If there is bronze plating, it will last for a long period without any damage.I have conveyed my wish to the government and awaiting a favourable reply from them,” he told PTI. Yakshi, which is now celebrated as one of the finest pieces of art had its fair share of controversies. In the 1960s, unsurprisingly, people were not so excited to have a giant naked statue in the neighbourhood. It was in 1968, the Kerala Irrigation Department entrusted Kunhiraman who had just returned from London to install a statue in the garden as a tourist attraction. It is said that initially Kunhiraman was planning to build a Nandi statue there, but later came up with the idea of Yakshi, after observing one of the hills in the valley, which he felt resembled a woman lying with her tresses flowing. After he began sculpting and the news spread about the nude statue, Kunhiraman feced protests and even threats from locals who were opposed to the idea. Unfazed, Kunhiraman and his team continued their work and completed the statue which has since become an identity of Malampuzha. “Yakshi is the first such bold attempt to bring the sculptures of women out of the walls of temples.
