Amazing mosque - both indoor and outdoor. A must-see.
Kul Sharif Mosque is located in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. It's one of the largest mosques in Russia and a symbol of Tatar culture and Islamic heritage. The mosque features stunning Islamic architecture, with its characteristic blue domes and tall minarets. Completed in 2005, Kul Sharif is situated within the Kazan Kremlin, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The interior is beautifully decorated with intricate patterns, calligraphy, and vibrant colors, reflecting the rich artistic traditions of Tatarstan. The mosque can accommodate up to 7,000 worshippers and serves as a cultural center, offering educational programs and hosting events. It is a popular destination for both tourists and locals, showcasing the harmonious coexistence of different cultures in the region..
Kul Sharif Mosque, located within the walls of the Kazan Kremlin in Russia, is not just a symbol of Tatar culture and Islamic heritage, but a majestic architectural wonder that tells a story of resilience, faith, and revival. Originally constructed in the 16th century, the mosque was tragically destroyed during the siege of Kazan by Ivan the Terrible in 1552. After centuries, it was beautifully reconstructed and reopened in 2005 as a tribute to its historical significance and the spiritual heart of Tatarstan. The modern mosque blends traditional Islamic motifs with modern design, making it a breathtaking fusion of old and new. With its sky-blue domes, towering minarets, and intricate calligraphy, Kul Sharif Mosque stands as one of the largest mosques in Russia and Europe. The interior is equally stunning, with a massive chandelier, marble columns, and stained-glass windows that filter soft light across the prayer hall. Visitors are welcomed to explore its museum, prayer areas, and observation balcony that offers panoramic views of the Kremlin and the Volga River. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or spiritual serenity, Kul Sharif Mosque is a must-visit destination that leaves a lasting impression on the soul.
The Kul Sharif Mosque, established in 2005 at the heart of Kazan within the Kazan Kremlin, serves as a poignant symbol of Tatarstan's cultural resilience. Built on the site where a mosque stood in the 16th century, demolished during an attack on the city, the Kul Sharif Mosque pays homage to its historical significance. Financed through donations from over 40 thousand individuals and organizations, the mosque's architectural grandeur includes ornate decorations, Quranic verses etched in marble, and intricate details like Czech glass light fixtures. With a unique design featuring intersecting squares, a symbolic dome, and towering minarets, the mosque stands as a testament to Tatarstan's rich heritage. Inside the complex, the Museum of Islamic Culture of the Volga Region offers a captivating exploration of Islamic history. Additionally, the mosque complex features the Museum of Ancient Manuscripts and a library. Visitors can admire depictions of tulips, ancient Bulgarian symbols, and carpets donated by Iran within the mosque's interior. The mosque, accommodating up to 1,500 worshippers, stands not only as a place of prayer but also as a cultural hub. Free entry to the mosque includes access to its rich history, while tickets are required for the museums. Operating daily from 9 am to 6 pm, the mosque observes a special dress code, providing capes for those in need. Friday prayers from noon to 2 o'clock contribute to the mosque's significance as a religious and cultural landmark. The emphasis on preserving Tatarstan's history and Islamic culture is underscored by the enduring presence of the mosque and its enriching museums.
Definitely a must if you visit the city. Elegant and beautiful architecture with the unique blue color. The place is a bit crowded and touristy. The lighting at night is very nice also. Worth the visit.
Amazing mosque stands on top of the hill overlooking kazan. The mosque can be seen from the majority of the city. Blue and white contrasts looks great in day and night time. Truly great to see anytime. With the right clothing you can go in and check out the inside
For each masjid is a place to calm your heart and soul in a world of problems and concerns. It can accommodate 6,000 worshipers. Its inauguration on July 24, 2005, marked the beginning of celebrations dedicated to the Millennium of Kazan.
Though I'm not a Muslim, I must admit that this is a real work of art! A must see when in Kazan! Actually, it's impossible to miss it if you visit the Kremlin.

Best street in Kazan Ends at the beautiful kremlin complex
(Translated by Google) The apartment we rented was a minute's walk from the Arbat and the Kremlin. On the first day we dropped our bags and went to look. There weren't a lot of people, which was nice. No one intruded, and we avoided horses and donkeys for photos. The lively scene only captivates you and you have time to turn your head in different directions. There are many establishments from inexpensive to quite expensive. There is something and someone to take a photo with. They gave brochures, but not intrusively. There is a lot to take a walk and see. On the last day we took the metro to the Ring shopping center - Tukay Square, and walked back and rested, leaving tomorrow. On the first day, we also saw people relaxing on benches🤦 it was already at ten o’clock in the evening, the police were not seen. Everything was civilized, quiet and calm with my daughter. Anyone who loves an active life has seen a couple of hostels right on Bauman.

(Translated by Google) Bauman Street - Kazan Kremlin! A lively place, you can spend half a day there looking at the architecture and monuments. There are many excellent restaurants and cafes with national cuisine! Very beautiful ! The street on one side leads to the observation deck and the Kremlin, which is incredibly beautiful and contrasting! On the other hand, the Cathedral of the Epiphany - it has a steep lookout over the entire Arbat, at the top it will take your breath away! (Located next to the monument to Chaliapin) -Don’t buy souvenirs there for no reason, in stores like (Bechtele or in the markets of Kazan for example - half the price)!!! -Well, the second minus is that the whole Arbat is mostly souvenir! A couple of theaters, a couple of shops and cafes, but in general (if you don’t talk about architectural monuments along the way) everything is souvenir shops, at first it’s interesting, but after half the street the sameness begins to irritate (Original)

There is a memorial wall artworks of soldiers lost in WWII. And on the hill with down the Volga River amazing view there is an eternal flame memorial wall for the unknown soldiers. Must visit.
You need 2 days to see everything that this place has to offer. Churches, shops, modern and old buildings… This place is a mix of nature, peace and life. Mix of history, culture and architecture. Of course, religion also. You just can not stop. If you have a chance to visit this place, go, go, go! You will never forget this amazing place and it will be an unforgettable experience for your whole life. You can learn a lot of things about Russia today and also in the past. ❤️ Привет из Сербии 💙
Very cool place to visit. The tour around the wall is totally worth it! Just bring good walking shoes cause there are lots of steps. The overlook is simply amazing! Great views of the rivers and countryside. Lots of paths for walking and benches for sitting.
You will have to visit this every once in a while, The experience is fascinating. I didn't cross the Chkalov Stairs, but the fire, playground, and the State Duma + Administration building was great. Would go again.
It's a very big place surrounded by history, museums, and the Volga. For that reason, you may wish to spend at least two days to catch the moments that are totally worth it.
The Kremlin offers a spectacular view of the city. You can take a sightseeing tour of four towers and a wall for 250 rubles (0.5$). A lot of old military equipment. A lively place. Very steep slopes, you need to be as careful as possible. Years of the construction of the towers are the 1500's. Nearby there are several good restaurants and cafes. There is a very long staircase to the embankment. In the Kremlin there are government buildings.
Very interesting place. With relatively well conserved walls and even some military vehicles from the second war era, the place is gives a nice experience for adults and children There are some gift small shops were you can get folk and soviet era souvenirs (the price is a little bit hide but nothing out of reality for a touristic place).

Fun, diverse. Many different throats for everyone, from children to retired people. We went with my son for 12 years and my parents, everyone was having fun all day. I like it very much in winter on the open part of the pool with massage beds, the sensations are steep. If you come to the opening - the first hour and a half or two will be generally cool, the people are not very much. And in the evening after 8 excellent.
Great water park. Stayed in the room. Payment for the room includes a visit to the water park, which is very convenient - there is no queue and a visit to the Ferris wheel. I did not like the attitude of the guard on the street. Arrived by car. He asked the guards where to park, the guards replied that now some big people are now in the hotel so they won’t be able to park. After they arrived at the reception they asked what was the problem with parking. They answered that there were no problems and found a place. Listening to lies was not pleasant at a hotel of this level.
Very nice water park with a beautiful view of Kazan. The food is okay but the beer is fairly priced and nice & cold.
I expected more from this place - to be honest. It is mostly very crowded because not only people from Hotel Riviera come there (for Hotel guests its free entrance) but also people from outside come. A lot of families with small kids - for the kids it surely is a kind of water-wonderland. You have to wait quite some time to get your turn on the different slides they have - although they are a nice fun. They also offer massage, Finnish sauna, Russian banya and Hamam (but all of them not hot enough for my taste). Real good thing is that you ha e a basin that has a connection to the outside - which is especially nice in winter times. You can get food and drinks at some different places too - but don't expect real high quality kitchen. Best time to go there is after 20.30PM - the place is open until 23.00PM - in the evening there are less people and kids.
Hotel is located riverside, you can see Kazan Kremlin from your hotel. One of the largest Gym with all equipment and trainers to guide you. Staff is humble and professional. They might have to give English training to all the staff members.
The hotel guest has a free pass to water park with a number of pipes, basins and sauna. You always know how to spend your evening. Open until 23:00.
I'll always remember this place . Every thing is well organised. Many games . There are restaurants. Bar. Hookah. Sauna . I think you'll find there every thing you ever wanted . Just remember to take a waterproof camera with you . I recommend this park for every one.
This park is very fun and well kept. However, I was expecting more of a thrill from the water slides, but overall they were ok.

must visit if you are in UFA beautifull monument and the view and the flowers ,rocks its best to visit in summer see the river from this height
Salavat Monument is a nice place to go visit when in Ufa, especially in summer. Beautiful flowers when walking towards the monument, small fountains. An amazing view from where the statue stands, you can see the river in both directions. On one side you'll be able to see the bridge where the train crosses and if your lucky you can get an amazing picture of that view. Few shops for gifts and few places to get your refreshment, snacks or ice cream (which is most welcoming especially with the summer sun). You can walk down the short way or the long way depending on how much time you have. Both trails are nice a relaxing to walk through. There are a few places where you can see the Tatar history (attire work in the olden days) you can then walk further down to the river bed where they are building a new walking path. This will be quite nice once complete.
It's a good place with a wonderful view and historical places and park and kind people and a pure environment actually I miss this place because I like such places which have like those views and green park and blue sky and forest view from this place and traditional houses and river , but be careful because it dangerous place don't stay the a long time or with kids or under situation of alcohol or drugs or any narcotics at all because you may through our from the edge of the salavat be careful guys I which you a good time
It's a good place to view the White River and take a walk in the fresh air.
Nice place with a nice view over the Belaya river. For Tourists a must see. There are also a lot of small stores for souvenirs, food and drinks. The place is very close to the Hilton Garden Inn.
The biggest of all monument in ufa. Seeing is believing. The first time I came to Ufa . As we were crossing the bridge to the city I was gazing at this well lit monument at night. It is purely magnificent. The monument is located on hill and which make it more imposing . Usually an excellent place to visit .
The place is so lovely and beautiful. It was under construction when I went but definitely was worth the visit..😍

Landmark leaning tower featuring Russian & Tatar designs & a green spire with a Muslim crescent.
Slide 1 of 8
I walked up to the Suyumbike Tower during a detour from a conference in in Kazan a few years ago. The day was gray but the tower stood tall against the sky. Brick on brick, leaning a little, not much, but enough to make you see it was different. It had its own weight, its own time. The view from there was wide. The city stretched out with the river beyond, slow and quiet. The tower had charm. Not the polished kind, but the kind that stays with you because it is strange, because it is old, because it has lived longer than men who pass it. It was a good place to stand and look. A peculiar tower, and a fine view.
The tower, once part of the city's kremlin and known for its lean, was straightened in the 1930s and 1990s. Its construction date is uncertain, with some suggesting the 18th century, while legend claims it was built in a week by Ivan the Terrible's artisans. Scholars debate its purpose, with some questioning the need for a military watchtower in a peaceful region. The tower's architecture, influenced by Tatar design, suggests it may be older than the 18th century. Over time, its top symbol changed from a double-headed eagle to a red star and now a Muslim crescent.
The tower, once part of the city's kremlin and known for its lean, was straightened in the 1930s and 1990s
There is a tale abot this tower. It says that Tzar Ivan the terrible built it as a request from princess Suyumbike when he proposed her. The tower is supposed to be higher of the highest mosque.
A leaning tower with a fascinating legend associated with it. It offers panoramic views of the city from its top.
It is a symbol of the old city of Kazan, a historical place and a museum.

Despite its name, it is not a functioning place of worship but rather a cultural and educational center promoting tolerance and understanding among different faiths. The temple's colorful exterior and eclectic design make it a popular tourist attraction, reflecting Kazan's commitment to religious diversity and harmony.
Good Concept, but needs serious work and maintenance. Looks beautiful from the outside but when you go inside you'll find yourself in a heap of mess. Some rooms were very well maintained and quite impressive but others were totally messed up. Also the place felt strange as the creator's photo was everywhere along with other scriptures, felt odd. Overall a good place, although needs serious maintenance and remodeling.
This is a very disappointing place. Actually, the building is beautiful from the outside. If you have a lot of time, you can come by bus and just take a picture of the exterior. We regret that we wasted our time to visit this building inside. It’s not a religious place, but a museum. There are many ugly paintings and unfinished artworks. Badly organized and without any supporting information. Hope it will improve with time!
Very interesting and unusual place in Kazan suburbs. The entire complex is work of a famous Tatarstan artist who used to live there before starting this project. The place is still under construction but there are many finished parts. You stroll through Christian, Islam, Buddhist, Hindu....rooms and buildings within the complex. Best to come by taxi, around 6 Euros from city center. Cheap entry fee
I recently had the opportunity to visit the Temple of All Religions in Kazan, and it was truly a unique and fascinating experience. This architectural marvel is a testament to the city's cultural diversity and its commitment to religious harmony. Upon entering the temple, I was immediately struck by its grandeur and intricate design. The building itself is a stunning blend of various architectural styles, incorporating elements from Islamic, Christian, Hindu, and Buddhist traditions. It is a true masterpiece that showcases the beauty of different religions coming together under one roof. One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the different sections dedicated to each religion. Each area is beautifully adorned with religious symbols, statues, and artwork, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere. It was truly inspiring to see how these distinct religious traditions coexist harmoniously within the same space. The temple also houses a small museum, where visitors can learn more about the history and significance of each religion represented. The exhibits are informative and well-curated, providing a deeper understanding of the beliefs and practices of different faiths. It was a great opportunity to expand my knowledge and gain a greater appreciation for religious diversity. Another aspect that impressed me was the welcoming and inclusive nature of the temple. Regardless of one's own religious background, everyone is encouraged to visit and explore. The temple serves as a symbol of unity and respect for all religions, promoting dialogue and understanding among different communities. In addition to its cultural and religious significance, the Temple of All Religions is also a beautiful spot for photography enthusiasts. The vibrant colors, intricate details, and unique architecture make for stunning pictures that capture the essence of this extraordinary place. Overall, my visit to the Temple of All Religions in Kazan was an unforgettable experience. It is a place that celebrates diversity, promotes tolerance, and reminds us of the universal values that bind us all together. Whether you are religious or not, this temple is a must-visit destination that will leave you feeling inspired and enlightened.
The building's architecture is stunning and the history behind its construction is very inspiring (a man once got a message in his dream that he needed to build a place where every religion and beliefs could live together in peace. Nobody lent him money to build it so he worked hard all his life to build this set of "churches"). However since the fire in 2017 the place is an ongoing construction site. The paintings are in a mess, at some places there is no wall, etc.

Terrific place of Socialist era. Contrary to others Ive visited in other places this is more like fun. You can dress in many authentic era clothes displayed and make unbelievable pics.
My friend from Finland and I had a lot of fun in the museum. It is not big but if you are into USSR stuff - come here, a lot of things you can touch, try on or even play old board games. Of course would be nice to have someone to explain to you the meaning of this or that thing. It’s all about the details. The second museum of «happy childhood” was a bit less interesting to us.
There's simply no other place where so much authentic USSR things gathered together. That's just awesome, and lots of things I've seen or had in my childhood also, so nostalgic. Must see!!
Incredibly interesting interactive museum showcasing all the best from Soviet life and culture. Huge amount of engaging and enjoyable exhibits and items, which can all be touched and tried on. My personal favourite was trying on all the different Soviet army jackets and hats. The owner was friendly and made the visit fun and interesting, his passion for Soviet culture really came across. This museum is a must visit when in Kazan! Thank you! Tom Visiting from London
Very well collected, item from normal life during the Soviet years. Also everything concerning rocknroll during that period of time. Effortable
Great place to visit to remember what life was like in the USSR.
The museum was nice and interesting, can touch things and take photos with the clothes or other things. Low score for the price of the souvenirs. Firstly it’s not written anywhere, secondly we dropped by a second time on the second day to buy more pins, the coworker was different with the previous day and she charges for double price for the same thing.
Very interesting museum... they managed to collect so many things, even small ones. Well done! The entry is free, they have a shop inside where you can buy some souvenirs. You can touch things and look as much as you want. The staff in the museum was really nice.

Obviously a must see place on any visit to Kazan. It remains a a historic citadel that was was built on the orders of Ivan the Terrible in the 16th century on the ruins of the former castle of the Kazan khans³. It is now a declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site which includes the Annunciation Cathedral, the Söyembikä Tower, Kul Sharif Mosque and the Governor's Palace. My research says it is a unique blend of Tatar and Russian cultures, reflecting the city's diverse history.
The Kazan Kremlin, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stands as a testament to the rich history and cultural significance of Kazan, Russia. Its origins trace back to the 10th century when it served as the seat of the powerful Volga Bulgaria. Over the centuries, it underwent various architectural transformations, blending Tatar, Russian, and Islamic influences into its distinctive style. One of its most iconic landmarks is the striking Kul Sharif Mosque, which was reconstructed in the early 21st century and has since become a symbol of religious tolerance and coexistence. The mosque's elegant minarets and intricate interior design attract visitors from around the world. Within the Kremlin walls, visitors can explore a plethora of historical and cultural treasures, including the Annunciation Cathedral, the Presidential Palace, and the Soyembika Tower, which boasts a fascinating leaning appearance. The Kremlin's significance extends beyond its architectural beauty; it serves as a focal point for cultural events, festivals, and gatherings, highlighting the city's vibrant cultural scene. Moreover, it symbolizes the resilience and unity of Kazan's diverse population, embracing both its Tatar and Russian heritage. In conclusion, the Kazan Kremlin stands as a living testament to the enduring legacy of Kazan, blending history, culture, and spirituality into a captivating architectural masterpiece that continues to inspire and enchant visitors from around the globe.
Open 24/7, gorgeous at day, even more so at night. My girlfriend and I have been there for three times already, but it is still not enough for us. I would recommend everyone to go there. The mosque is a must-visit. It has also been great to visit one of the towers. The view is simply amazing there.
Amazing history here. Beautiful buildings tell a great story of multiple cultures. Make sure to tour the site and see the wonderful mosque and beautiful cathedral as well as all the other attractions. Highlight recommended. We went on the day of ther republic and the were a lot of people and activities.
Amazing place. The main attraction of Kazan, this place is a must visit. The place is very well preserved. The place looks beautiful during the day, and even more during the night, best time to visit would be somewhere between 4-5pm during summers. Beautiful place, highly recommend!
Overwhelming place, in some places it actually makes you feel like you're 800 years back in time. It has many interesting sights inside of the walls, and also some fascinating view to the city. It's a place where you can easily spend the whole day.
