We were there for our son-in-law's 25th birthday and attended with young children also. The staff were amazing and it was a nice change to get really great customer service instead of the usual average. The manager is charismatic and personable, and made everyone feel very welcome indeed. When it was time for the birthday cake, the entire staff came out in a procession with bongo style drums and singing happy birthday. This was both unexpected and brilliant, putting a smile on everybody's face. It was especially funny as the birthday boy was in the loo at the time so they had to stop the procession and hide in the corner, to repeat the experience a few minutes later. Everybody enjoyed the food and as a vegan myself, it was really tasty. Vegan choices are often limited in pubs/restaurants but they said that they could produce a vegan version of any dish on the menu; that's amazing service. Overall, the Eastern Eye was a great experience and I'll definitey be back.
