They have menus that are on small pieces of bamboo that can double as a fan(fun). The atmosphere is just what you'd want from an island bar and grill. There was great local art and chickens literally walking around. Prices were reasonable, not cheap, but for island prices really not bad. Drink prices, great! You can get a shot and get to keep the shot glass for less than a shot glass at the neighboring gift shop. Also, we like to collect logo'd bar cups and these came with our beverages. We got the "Caribbean PuPu platter". It came out in sections with the most delicious fried foods and to top it off a little mini grill to grill our pineapple on. This was my favorite, little thing. I cant say enough great things about all of the little things. The staff was EXCELLENT! Andy took such great care of us with a smile on his face and thew in a few jokes here and there. Duffy's also had shirts at a great price with what also seems to be reprints of local art, we loved these shirts and were able to secure 4 of them for less than the neighboring stores and it was just a reminder of what a great time we had there. Thank you Andy and the rest of the staff for such a memorable experience. If we are ever in St. Thomas again, this will be the first place we stop! I highly recommend Duffy's! And it did have some large chunks of lobster. I can guarantee you, though, they did NOT use this entire lobster in MY dish. The amount of lobster in my dish was not equivalent to the size of the lobster tail shell they served it in. They served my meal with the wrong two sides, but it had taken so long to get, I decided to just let it be. The flavor is pretty good. Mildly sweet without the curry being overpowering. The presentation looks like a big ole mess, though. The amount of lobster was not worth the $148 they charged me for it, so value of meal gets a 2 stars. After tallying everything, they actually get a 2.56 stars but Google doesn't let you do that so 3 stars. Ordered a steak & a burger - medium. 40 minutes goes by and our server comes out and says our food will be up soon just about 8 more minutes on the steak....we looked at each other, 8 MORE minutes for a medium steak? 😳 by the time the food came it had been an hour, had a feeling the burger would be too done at that point, and it was - more like medium well. Opted not to get it recooked just said I'd eat the fries because I was hungry and didn't want to wait 30 more minutes. The steak was edible but not a consistent medium throughout, half was gray the other half pink. Maybe they cooked it on one side under a broiler? Who knows. The onion strings were good, probably the best part of the meal. No one management wise came out to check with us about the issue with our food, and when we got the check they actually charged us for the fries, lol.
