I ordered an iced latte with oat milk. When the order came up another customer who also ordered an iced latte went to take it. The girl working there snapped at him saying that wasn’t his. Visiting from out of state for a fall vacation trip. After renting bikes from All Out Adventures, my wife and I worked up an appetite. We were suggested to try out The Roost. We were told there was a ramp and automatic doors which made the space accessible. We didn’t initially know where the accessible entrance was so I ended up having to step up with my rollator.

The food is outstanding. I got a mocha maple iced latte which was incredible. My wife got an iced coffee with vanilla. I got the gluten free waffle with fruit, and this butter squash with walnuts and cranberries side being offered. My wife ordered this breakfast sandwich which was her stepping outside her comfort zone. She ordered the Williston, she said it was absolutely delicious and makes her want to step more outside of her food comfort zone due to the amazing experience she had. We would highly recommend this place to anyone if we had the chance.

Spent a lot of time in late teens & early 20’s making the drive to the coolest small city & Thorne’s Market was always 1st on list of stops. I was born in Northampton, MA in 1950. My mom shopped here when it was still McCallums. A fond memory of McCallums is being with my mother purchasing "hankies" for my teachers as Christmas gifts. I liked Thornes well enough ...was a great store. .but the part of where my memories were created was gone. I love the old building anyway. Things change as we age. Never have I been more dissatisfied with a Starbucks than I am right now! I went to that Starbucks as it was closest and because complicated drinks are supposed to be their jam. This place is amazing and so is Colton the Barista. We are so thankful to have found this establishment. However the reason we found it was less then delightful. As my partner and I are new to the area opening a new franchise here we had parked and wanted a coffee. We went to Northampton coffee and was greeted with anger, condescending and vitriol verbiage. She even went as far as to mention how terrible Patisserie Lenox is and to “never support them” as they let people sit.. After one more incident of her berating us we decided to take the 10 minute walk to patronize the establishment that so enraged this young angry barista from NH coffee. THANK GOD. As we found PATISSERIE LENOX and their amazing menu of exquisite beverages and Gourmet pastries and overall good vibes. Patisserie LENOX also takes COVID precautions very seriously, yet also provide the customer with amenities to make it even more safe for the patron. They even have made a division of “in” and “out” in order to protect their customers even more. (see photo) The prices were also shockingly more than reasonable for what looked like edible art.. They make are everything from scratch using the finest quality ingredients that are even organic and locally sourced whenever possible. Neat little cafe and bakery right in downtown Northampton. Found this first when searching for a place that sold macrons near my mother in law's. (Not a short trip for us, actually wouldn't have stepped in save for a special medical appointment nearby.) Everytime we go we always brave ourselves with some sort of disappointment. They either mess up our order, don't have what we've ordered or take almost 20mns to make the order even w/o anyone in front of us.
They also prioritize online orders, so don't think just because you took your lovely time to go in store they're going to prioritize you. You can sit there for 10mns+ waiting and you can see staff making and packaging up orders for people who aren't even there to pick them up.
The bagels are alright, but it all just tastes the same galric-cheesy flavor after awhile.
Also, please if you have an allergy of some type please check your order before leaving. We usually order basic and simple orders, and they've always managed to mess it up, but this place also offers sandwiches/meals with more components, so imagine having a food allergy and getting something you cannot eat and you've already paid for it.
Not sure if this is a management issue, but it doesn't seem like it's run like how it's suppose to. It looks like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off.

This is a nice cozy small coffee shop. I ordered the spicy hot chocolate, but I personally did not enjoy the spicy aspect of it, too spicy for me, gave me a tummy ache and couldn’t finish it. After walking in and obviously being lost I was greeted by a nice young gentleman named Jamie. He was incredibly helpful and had wonderful suggestions. I was absolutely satisfied with my experience. Waited in the drive-thru line for 25 minutes, which is fine. Thought they may be understaffed. Finally got to the front of the line. Waited at the speaker for 5+ minutes without a "we'll be right with you" or anything. Drove up to the window and there was nobody there, so tried to go into the store. Why not update the sign on the door and put signs around the drive through letting customers know the store is closed? I'm not sure I'll find myself in Florence MA again but I might need to make up a reason to drive from Boston. Pleasantly surprised to find this delightful all vegan cafe. I had a bacon burger sandwich with fresh bread and a nice portion of lettuce. It reminded me of the 90ies in the best possible way. A classic veggie burger that was filling and delicious also but tasted healthy. I had a chai latte with my lunch and couldn't help but take a cinnamon bun and large and wonderful blueberry muffin to go. That muffin alone is worth the 2 hour drive. Highly recommended.

I cannot say enough good things about Wild Chestnut Cafe. It's honestly a magical place.
The baked goods are out of this world! Their Saturday cinnamon rolls are a staple in my household. All the muffins are awesome, but the mango ginger is my favorite! The blueberry oat bars are perfect. ALL the cupcakes are delicious. You really can't go wrong. You can also order the cupcakes and some other baked goods in bulk for special events - they're a real crowd pleaser.
