세인트 존 세례자 대성당은 19세기 로마 가톨릭 교회로, 네오 고딕 건축, 멋진 스테인드 글라스, 음악 리사이틀로 유명합니다. 사바나의 역사 지구에 위치하며, 스카이라인을 지배하는 200피트 높이의 흰색 쌍탑이 특징입니다. 이 대성당은 남부 주에서 가장 큰 대성당 중 하나로, 외부 건축을 감상하기 위해 방문하는 많은 관광객을 끌어들입니다.

성당 관련된 분들이 설명도 너무 잘해주셔서 좋았다. 서베너에 방문한다면 여기서 시간을 보내는 것도 좋을 것 같다. 참고로 11시 30분부터 1시까지는 출입을 못하기 때문에 관광 계획 할때 알아두어야한다.

외부 뿐만 아니라 내부의 장식, 스테인글라스도 너무 이쁘다. 서배너 미드타운 관광할거면 한번쯤 들러보길 추천함
대성당으로 굉장한 규모를 자랑함니다.
건물 양식이나 역사적 가치가 높고 천주교 신자라면 반드시 가보셔야하는 곳 입니다.
촛불봉헌은 성전 내 좌, 우측에 준비되어 있고 기부금도 받고 있습니다.
실제로 미사를 드리는 장소이기에 방문시 말소리는 최대한 작게 부탁드리며 노출이 과도한 옷은 삼가하는 것이 좋습니다.
누군가에게는 관광지일 수 있지만 종교적 건물이기에 예의 부탁드립니다.
Basilica 양식으로 지어진 카톨릭 성당입니다. 밖에서 본 모습도 좋았습니다. 그렇지만 밖의 모습만으로는 만족하지 못할지도 모릅니다. 월-토요일까지는 투어를 할 수 있기 때문에(오후 5시 이전까지. 토요일 오후 5시 부턴 예배를 위하여 신도들이 들어오기 시작하였음) 내부를 꼭 보시기를 권합니다.
서바나 성요한성당에서 주일미사를 보기위해 찾았습니다. 여행지에서의 미사는 참 특별한거 같네요~ 성당도 멋있고 미사도 참 좋았습니다

A tour that you must do while in Savannah! Our tour guide, who was the associate minister, did an excellent job explaining the history behind this beautiful church and its congregation. Tours are normally at 11 am and 1 pm. The church website has more detailed information and you can purchase your tickets ahead of time online. The proceeds from the tickets go back to an amazing non profit that is associated with the church that supports job training and resources for those in need.

If you’re going to do ANY tour in Savannah, do this one. The best tour I’ve been on, maybe ever, I highly, highly recommend doing the tour while you are in Savannah. Derek was awesome. very informative, personable and has a lot of wisdom. I walked away realizing how ignorant I truly am on the history of African Americans in our country, and am so grateful to learn about the people who sacrificed so much to share the word of God. Plus the money from your tickets goes to their nonprofit that helps give people the tools they need to find jobs and get the rehabilitation they need.

Our guide Danielle shed so much light on the church, its leaders, congregation, and so much love, history and life packed into the walls. We learned how critical it is to preserve culture and lessons learned. Our visit to First African Baptist Church was the highlight of our trip to Savannah.

A very warm and welcoming place. My wife and I are visiting from Florida and we were drawn to this place of worship while walking through the area site seeing. While inside learning about the history of this original church of Georgia we were invited to stay for a short service. Which we did.
The message of healing presented by the priest and our seemingly random attendance struck me to the core. This chance experience suddenly didn’t feel like chance but guidance. I was overwhelmed by it and the message of healing was so spot on to our personal circumstances.
I was not able to articulate properly at the time my thanks to the priest and congregation members. The priest approached afterwards seeing that I was struggling and personally engaged me in conversation. I was so overwhelmed with my emotions that I was unable to carry on a conversation. I just wanted to let you know that you and the members that were in attendance are making a difference in people’s lives that you encounter. Thank you!

This is such a beautiful synagogue. If I'm not mistaken, it is the third oldest congregation in America. I took an 11am tour that is also scheduled a few more times during the day, and I'm glad I did. I learned a lot about its history and saw a small museum on the 2nd floor that has 2 Torah Scrolls dating back to the 15th century. I highly recommend taking the tour.

Pretty church on the second floor of a building on Wright Square. The church was closed when I arrived but one of the Church parishioners was kind enough to let me visit. The highlights for me were the art deco elevator– the oldest in Savanna– and the stain glass window, which the church is in the process of restoring.

This church is so wonderful and welcoming, with great teaching and community outreach! My husband and I moved to Hinesville with the Army, and after a while we found this church. We visited once when I was 9 months pregnant and then our son was born 3 days later, so it took a while before we could visit again, but we've been attended this whole year and wish we would've come soon! These are the nicest, most down to earth people, the childcare is wonderful and yes, we drive an hour up to Savannah most Sundays to attend! It's so worth it for the love and acceptance of ALL people, no matter who you are. <3

It's a great welcoming group of people, a wide range of ages and life stages, places to plug into and give back to the community. Because in all I do, I want to always honor,praise and glorify God so needless to say I visited with Pastor Tillman and his congregation and was blessed truly by the Youth choir, music ministry and the Word! Was craving a burger when we got to town and read that this was the place to go. It was quiet on a Thurs evening around 8, but not empty. The burger and fries were perfect, exactly what I was craving. Both were cooked right and not greasy at all. Excellent beer selection too. Its a little away from the historic district but worth the trip.

We went here bc of the great reviews and were greatly dissapointed . The place is small and Probaly very lively on days that aren’t rainy as they have outdoor seating. The host was very nice and service is casual. We got the classic, the lone star , & (2) bottle waters (boiled water advisory) and our total was $39. They only have two ways you can order a burger as stated on the menu, “pink” or “burnt”. Okay when taking our order the server asked if we were okay with pink center . Yes, no one wants a dry burger … however, I don’t think it’s okay for burgers to be served almost mid rare . We asked for our check and just decided to leave after not being satisfied but the server insisted we get new burgers to our liking. We thought this was so nice as she didn’t want us to leave dissapointed when we were just going to pay and go but at $40 we opted to get them re made for to -go . The burgers were just as raw as before , the 1/3 lb burger is thick so it is unappetizing and questionable on safety temp . Even the texture is more like raw than juicy burger. Seems like they do use high quality ingredients which is a plus but overall just felt like a waste of money and ingredients considering the Togo was the same. I’m very surprised that this is rated so highly for burgers & fries bc that was unfortunately not our experience nor is this the best burger/fry I ever had.

He was also fully transparent as to which artifacts were to the house and which weren't. The house is well maintained. The stories accompanying the rooms were both educational and informative. The house was beautiful. Our floor 2 tour guild has been a volunteer for over 20 years and was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. The floor 1 guide was weirdly overexcited to the point of tripping over her words (said ummm a lot). The history linked to it is astounding and our guide was so knwledgable you would have thought he lived his whole life here ... but he was from Brooklyn. HE WAS GREAT ... and the staff too. Access to the upstairs was by stairs only so there are some mobility issues ... but the staff is helpful and just seeing the 1st floor was fine for me; all the history was right their in those rooms and the great images they had. Great tour today on Super museum Sunday. Each guide answered my questions fully and with great attention. Love the exquisite details throughout the house such as the crown molding around the ceilings and the gorgeous very old antiques. Tour guide even mentioned Stanton arriving after the pontoon bridge was taken down in Ebenezer so I was impressed with how thorough the history was even in a short time.

Wonderful parish! I attended the 11AM Principal Service during my vacation in Savannah. Sound theology and beautiful liturgy (they still use the the 1928 Prayer Book and 1940 Hymnal). The Clergy and parishioners I met were very welcoming and friendly. And the music was top notch. I will definitely go again next time I'm in Savannah.

When I lived in Savannah from 2014-2017, I attended St. Francis Cabrini. By far, this was my favorite church I have been apart of. People there were so nice, the homilies are incredibly moving(I teared up during most of them) but most of all Father Gabe is literally my favorite priest ever!! He is always there for others when needed and gives the absolute best advice. I struggled a lot during those years and he would always check up on me to make sure I was okay. He’s a great friend as well. The church members were like family. I loved daily mass there the most. This church definitely gave me a home away from home. I’m giving this five stars but if I could give more I definitely would!

The journey was a great event put on by Compassion Church. A reenactment of the birth of Jesus. You had the opportunity to go back in time and experience what it must have been like to live during that time. They did a fantastic job putting this together. It really brings the Bible to life. This was walking through an outdoor trail starting with Mary learning that she was going to have a child and ended with the birth of Jesus and the three wise men. Even walking toward the start of the trail, you were greeted by Roman soldiers who were not so friendly, just as you would have imagined them to be. The actors did a great job playing their roles and staying in character. The props were very detailed including walking through the market in Bethlehem and paying your taxes (which they provided the gold coins at the beginning for your taxes) and being counted for the census. This experience took 2 hours to go through but very worth it. We will be driving up there to experience the church service at some point. We are not looking to change churches but we would like to see what there services are like.

I think I may have joined the church - get a bit of community vibes going on for a bit. I haven't been to a service in some time... alot of my spirituality comes from interactions with nature and communicating with the soul of the earth - trees, plants, and the connection between all living things. The helpful resource is a blessing, and even though i know this blanket will be donated again to someone who can afford laundry and is more static daily, I've a break from the cold ground for a bit. I was able to assist at Mass here while traveling in the Savannah area. This is a great Traditional Latin Mass community in a diocesan church. I pray the local bishop in his charity will continue to allow what simply should never be un-allowed.
