해밀턴의 35개 최고의 박물관

기대했던것 보다 훨씬 좋았던 박물관이다. 입장료는13불로 저렴한 편이고 많은 수의 실가동 비행기를 소유 및 정비 그리고 복구하고 있었다. 그중 백미는 역시 4발중폭격기 아보르 랭커스터가 아닐까 싶다. 조금 더 설명하자면 가이드와 동행시 여러 기체들의 조종석에 앉아 볼 수 있으며 가이드 분들은 전쟁 실 참여자들이 많기에 그때의 이야기들을 각색해서 들려주기도 하고 기체 관련 이야기와 박물관 역사 이야기도 해 주는 등 동행시 많은 도움을 준다 운이 좋다면 아보르 랭커스터의 내부 구경을(!!!)시켜줄지도 모른다. 겨울철에 방문하여 모든 비행기체들은 박물관 내부에 격납되어있었으나 여름에 방문할 시 야외에 전시되어진 비행기들을 볼 수 있고 또 멤버쉽 회원은(한번만 방문할 목적으로 회원가입을 하기엔 꽤나 비싸다) 실물 비행기의 탑승 및 비행 체험이 가능 하다 최소 80불이며 나머지는 200불 언저리에 가장 큰 체급의 랭커스터는 3500불 정도이다. 실제로 타지 못하더라도 비행하는 모습만 보더라도 가슴이 떨리지 않을까? 마지막으로 교통이 매우 안좋으므로 왕복시 주의하기 바란다. 버스는 있지만 토요일에는 운행하지 않고 헤밀턴 시내까지 한시간정도 걸린다. 가격은3불. 우버를 이용시 30분정도 걸리지만 배보다 배꼽이 큰 가격이 걸림돌이다 약 30불 주변. 버스로 왕복할 한국인 용자가 나 말고 또 누가 있겠느냐만 토요일은 꼭 피하고 돌아갈땐 공항역에서 기다리자. 박물관 앞 역은 정류장이라 말하기도 부끄러운 곳이라 위험하고 버스가 당신을 그냥 지나칠수도 있다.
