My family and I were on a vacation and decided to walk the Gatlinburg strip and came across this coffee shop. The vibe and atmosphere is a really cool and artsy feel. The coffee was amazing and I personally chose an iced vanilla latte which is the best I’ve ever had! Definitely coming again next time we’re in the area.

Callie was so fantastic and made all of our coffees perfectly. We tried all the seasonal options and bagels. Obsessed with the Bear and the Banana bread cold brew.
The ambiance is so sweet right in the village with cute little goodies to purchase while waiting on your coffee.
So grateful to be able to visit coffee and company and try these yummy treats!

I got the iced pistachio latte. It was absolutely delicious. Staff was wonderful. The atmosphere was great as well. Everything looked very clean. No complaints, this would be a great place to grab a pick me up while you’re out shopping downtown.

We’ve been searching for the best coffee shop in Gatlinburg and we finally found it when we stopped by Gatlinburg Grind. Brandy made us the most delicious drinks (Iced S’more Latte and the Honey Bee Latte, plus a sample of the Dubai Chocolate Latte) and Linda made us some yummy baked goods (Maple Braid and Iced Cinnamon Roll). I absolutely recommend stopping by if you’re in town or becoming a regular if you’re local. No coffee shop around compares.

This is such a great local coffee shop! Its in such a beautiful area too. Brandy was our Barista and her service was amazing and went out of her way to make our coffee experience the best! For our drinks we got the Dubai-iced (amazing), the salty bee, dirty chai, and a strawberry lemonade we enjoyed alk of them. The pastries we got were baked fresh that morning and were great. Hands down my favorite coffee ever. I always get the Almond latte in a girl from Russia named Stacey is the one who makes it. If she's there then you're in luck. We live in Gatlinburg so we love to come down here and just sit outside and drink our lattes. They must have different varieties that they brew because once we came and it was nice and strong and the second time we came and it wasn't very strong. We prefer them were strong. Strolling around The Villages in Gaitlinburg I found three great coffee shops. The first one was Maddie Mae’s Cafe & Creamery. I was expecting the best cortado of the day to come from an ice cream shop. The cortado wasn’t even on the menu yet the barista knocked it out of the park!

Maddi Mae’s Café has the most creamy, delicious ice cream that we have ever had! The owner said that the ice cream is hand crafted with high quality ingredients. It tastes very fresh & flavorful.
The shop is warm & cozy, with seating inside & outside. The staff was very friendly & had great suggestions.
The portions were very generous. We shared a two scoop cup, but it would have been closer to a 4 scoop cup at other establishments.
The shop is located in ‘The Village’ a quaint, European inspired shopping area in downtown Gatlinburg.
We highly recommend Maddi Mae’s Café. We went there every day that we were in Gatlinburg.

Maddi Mae’s café and Creamery is primarily an ice cream shop, but they are have a wonderful selection of coffee offerings. Best is they offer several breakfast and other delicious sandwiches. This was the perfect spot for a light breakfast without the huge lines almost everywhere else. Very nice people.

Excellent ice cream! You can't order the bowl with multiple scoops like a picture someone posted, but we got several individual flavors and none of the disappointed. Apparently they make their ice cream in-house and it tasted creamy and fresh. We tried several of the honey flavors - vanilla lavender honey, cinnamon honey, chocolate honey, and they were all winners.

The ice cream is fine. Nothing better than other places. They limit you to two tastes. And they charge $2 for a cup of water, not telling you there is a charge until after they have given it to you. Overall, based on customer experience I wouldn’t recommend it.

If you really need a coffee drink and don't want to walk to Starbucks, this place will work, but don't expect it to be made right. Asked for an iced coffee with cream, and it was somehow very sweet. Tried again the next day becasue it was convenient to our condo, and my husband stood at the counter and the girls working it just looked at him and went back to their conversations. He waited for a few minutes and then just left and went to Starbucks. It was clear they weren't interested in making any drinks this morning.

I wish I could say that they deserved at least 1 star but alas they don’t. The employees were rude and lazy and the coffee is worse than I’ve ever had( and I’ve had some really bad coffee ), the workers did not seem to care about anything other than their phones and were not up to par. I asked for 2 small caramel macchiatos and they were “out” of the cups and so they charged me for a large...so two little cups of coffee was a grand total of $12.64 which is a terrible price for the sad excuse of a product that we were given. There is a Starbucks down the road with great workers that actually have standards, do yourself a favor and just keep walking :)
P.s all sales are final so they won’t give refunds.

Almost no wait today - the gondola is broken/being maintenanced, so not many people in here. I'm not clear how they can make a latte but can't make a cappuccino, but ok. I'll say, my son's hot chocolate was actually really, really good. Somehow the mocha was not very good and the plain latte didn't taste good at all. Lady working started a little standoffish, but then she was really sweet to my kids so, all in all good service, not the most expensive coffee in town (that was at burg) but it just wasn't that good, unfortunately.

I was too far from the Starbucks (and the line there was loooooong), so I decided to take a flyer and try their coffee. Despite the reviews, I found the coffee to be just below acceptable. I was expecting worse. The hot chocolate was ok. So, in a pinch, better than nothing.

Visited during my vacation in Gatlinburg. Charming Spot with Art and Great Coffee
This cozy coffee shop, called Painted Bear, is a lovely place to relax. The coffee is delicious, and they also offer some sweets. It’s a nice spot to take a seat and unwind. One unique touch is that they have local artwork for sale, paintings decorate the walls, adding to the warm and creative atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit as always I ordered a cappuccino no flavored! It was a good one!

This shop is amazing. We stopped in and enjoyed their peach muffin, apple fritter and banana nut muffin. I had one of their fall specials, a caramel apple frappe and my husband had their caramel macchiato.
The peach muffin was my favorite. It was so soft and delicious. My husband loved the apple fritter and you can’t go wrong with the classic banana nut muffin.
Both ladies in the shop were warm and welcoming. We were also greeted by the coffee house cat once we stepped outside!
This is a must visit place if you are in the area! You won’t be disappointed

Stopped in while touring the arts and crafts district. Small space with big flavors. Had a coffee and a cinnamon roll. Honey the cat was sunning on the front porch welcoming passer byers to the coffee shop. Indoor and outdoor seating depending on the weather. Would come back again when we are in the area.

We love coming here, the coffee is consistent, and in my opinion the best in the Gatlinburg area, you know you will be leaving with your taste buds tantalized with full bodied coffee notes. Whenever I travel, I make it a point to find the best local coffee spot—and this time, that led me to Smoky Mountain Coffee & Creamery in Gatlinburg. I came across it on Google Maps, noticed the strong reviews, and saw that it's under new ownership, so I decided to give it a try.
The coffee didn’t disappoint. It came in a large cup and had a great balance—rich, smooth, and just the right amount of sweetness. You could tell it was made with care, not just tossed together.
Only drawback? No printed receipts. They’ll ask for a phone number or email to send it digitally. I get it, but if you’re visiting from out of town like I was, handing over your info isn’t ideal—especially if you’re not looking for follow-up messages.
Still, that’s a small gripe. The coffee was worth the stop, and if you’re in Gatlinburg and want something local and well-made, this place is absolutely worth checking out.

Good, pleasant experience here. Before traveling to Gatlinburg area, I saw someone reviewing this coffee shop and knew I wanted to visit it. We were pleasantly surprised by welcoming customer service and delicious food & drinks. The place is very cute & cozy. Our food came out quick. We were here on vacation, we got the Berry French Toast and Chorizo & Bacon Burrito. They were both AMAZING. The jam on the side of the French Toast was not jam though which was very disappointing. But I got some syrup and almost devoured the plate too.

There is no parking anywhere near it…unless you to pay $20 to park in a public lot to simply pick up a cup of coffee. The public lots are $20 even for 5 minutes. This was a typical Starbucks located on Parkway in Gatlinburg. It had some tables and chairs and one high-top table that could sit about a dozen. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick. I would think after all this time I would know what I want but I just haven't found that 'favorite' hot/cold drink. It had caffeine and some flavor so it really hit the spot. The prices are very comparable to other shops and it was very clean.

I love that whole earth grocery offers vegan products and vegan food. The lentil burger wrap was delicious. I enjoyed the potato salad and the pasta salad. I’d say maybe add some celery or something to the potato salad if possible but that would be my only critique and I cook often and potato salad is one of my favorite sides, so I was hoping it would’ve been more than potato’s and mayo. It’s a super cute store and cafe. I liked the use of recycled propane tanks and other materials to be friendly to the environment. I would indeed go back. I particularly loved the size and taste of the wrap itself that came with our wrap. It was really big and it didn’t break or fall open, which often happens at many places in any type of wrap you order. Great place among all the madness! We were looking for a quiet place to pop by for a quick lunch and found Whole Earth Cafe. I had the tuna salad with the balsamic vinaigrette and a side of egg salad and my husband had the lentil burger with the potato salad. Everything tasted really good! My salad was fresh and the tuna salad had pickles and celery like I love. The egg salad was way too salty but I ate it anyway. The lentil burger was delusions but the winner was the potato salad. I don’t even typically like potato salad and it was the bomb. Gluten free bread available for sandwiches and vegan/veg options. We sat outside with our dog at the only table, otherwise I would assume it’s a take out place. Cute little grocery store as well with healthy options. We got an orange juice and a seltzer water as well. There’s a sign on the trash to not put anything with food into it so if you do stay, just take it inside bc apparently there’s a bear that pays them a visit each morning and checks the bin! Overall great vibe!

I was getting hangry so my poor husband had to find a place to eat quick! This place opened 3 wks ago so was pretty new! Thank God it was open!!! The guy who helped us, Alder was very nice and helpful! He let us sample the chocolate oblivion truffle torte and the lemon bar. The torte was deliciously rich and the bar was oh so good!! And no, I'm not just saying that because I was hungry, they were genuinely good!! I decided on the masala chai which was pretty good, and NOT super sweet. My husband had the black bear mocha which he liked and I didn't try because I was enjoying my chai so much! We also got the pecan praline roll that was so good!
This is actually a very cool place. They grow the hemp using aquaponics and hydroponics. They use koi to add nutrients to the water they use to grow the hemp and you can see all stages of the process. They process and extract the CBD in house and make different products with it which are available for sale. We spoke to the grower who told us that all the products have been examined and certified by a third party regarding the CBD content. They are also USDA certified organic growers.
We bought some edibles to try. I'll update the review when I do. I would say that if you want to know whether there is CBD in the product you buy then by it from here!
Update- I came back the next day and tried the hot cocoa which was pretty good! Not super sweet thankfully, was just right!

Stopped for a coffee (not bad) and was looking to peruse the cbd products, but I was put off by the fish tank that's featured behind the counter. The tank is not nearly large enough to accommodate the massive fish inside, and their habitat looks too crowded. I don't frequent Gatlinburg often, but I can't comfortably come to this place while the fish live in this condition.

I had one of the popular drinks he recommended to me and I can’t remember the name but it was the honey one. It was so good! They have alternative milks, multiple different options, prices are good. The atmosphere was definitely different. I loved the furniture and layout of it. Easy to find with plenty of parking.

Stopped here to get an espresso since all of the coffee shops near our cabin were not easily accessible without paying $20 to park.
I'm glad I did. The atmosphere was very nice inside and they had a lot of good options. I ended up going with a tea instead of coffee: earl gray, steamed milk, and honey. It was called a "London Fog" and it was terrific. My wife got a matcha latte which she also loved.
What I didn't know, though, was this place also sells CBD/marijuana. Lol. I realize it's getting legalized everywhere, but I'm always kind of shocked when I see everything from edibles to flower available for purchase in a retail store. I do not smoke; I was just there for the caffeine, but figured it was worth mentioning in case that's your thing.
