We ordered a fried rice, combination omelette and sweet and sour pork. It was very bland and had no flavour. The staff at the front desk were lovely but for the price we paid it was no where close to being worth it. I would not recommend this place if it was the only restaurant open. (Which on New Years Day, it pretty much was).

We arrived approximately 15 mins early for arranged pick up time and our meal was ready for pick up. Sadly we are not sure how long it was waiting and as we were not eating at home the meal was not hot. I was disappointed in my sate beef as there was more vegetables than beef, and the crunchy noodles were stale.

We were told this was one of the best places to get a good Chinese meal and it was correct. The prawn cutlets were amazing, and like stepping back into the 80's! All our meal portions were huge and we brought some home. The staff were incredibly busy but lovely to deal with.
Definitely happy to recommend, and we'll be back!

As you might have already guessed, I have a bit of a soft spot for Aussie-Chinese, meaning I like to try out the local version whenever I go away. On this South Coast NSW trip, that was Ulladulla Chinese Restaurant. What sets this restaurant apart from other regional exemplars—beyond the extraordinary number of fonts used in their colourful signage—is a large dining room with district views of Ulladulla, local craft beers on the booze list, and what looks to be a more compact menu than most. It turns out they have opted to save menu space by listing all the ways you can have a particular protein on one line.
While the restaurant taking a liberal interpretation of the COVIDSafe guidelines to mean they should stop allowing BYO has angered some locals, as an outsider, I was happy enough to drink Cupitt’s Estate beers. The Mollymook pale ale ($9) is lightly golden and gently malty, while the paler Milton Pilsner ($9) is hoppier and easy to quaff. Both suit the cuisine.
Prices are on the highish side for regional Aussie-Chinese, but the Sichuan fillet steak ($29) gives a good amount of tender beef interspersed with a balanced selection of lightly cooked vegetables (onion, bok choy, broccoli, carrot, capsicum). We asked for, and received, extra chilli in this dish, and it ate all the better for it. Similarly, there were lots of crustaceans in our garlic and chilli king prawn ($31) dish, and they had good bite against a selection of onions and greens that also retained a lot of texture.
The only trap here is the special fried rice ($10/small). It’s a buck less than the large, and really too small for a meal for two, offering up just four small bowls of average fried rice, notable only for the char siu (barbequed pork) that’s made in-house. While pricy perhaps for where and what it is, Ulladulla Chinese Restaurant delivers a slightly above average Aussie Chinese meal.

First time trying Panda Garden last night, perfect portion size, everything was cooked just right, the flavour, the rice, chicken, pork etc had a good taste to them, the chicken pieces were juicy. Definitely going to return again and get more. Hard to find a Chinese restaurant in the area that cooks it just right and is as presentable as Panda Garden’s. Plus the customer service when I got to the counter to collect the food was polite, friendly and the girl at the front counter was lovely. Made it worth coming back for future orders. Good customer service around here scarce. Highly recommend. Next will be Honey Chicken on the next order.

Food is fantastic and in my opinion the best in town and very reasonably priced. At times I’ve found the service a little rude and abrupt when placing phone orders, like they’re annoyed that I’ve dare to interrupt but I guess that could be a slight language barrier issue.
Regardless, Panda Gardens is still my number one choice for authentic Chinese cuisine.

The ONLY dish we’ve tried & worth mentioning is the Prawn Dumplings. It’s about average at the moment. If the chef could find & add a little yellow chives & bamboo shoot in it, who knows maybe it could turn out to be something great.
For the rest of the dishes, even hot chili sauce can’t save them. That’s why I don’t even want to talk about it.

If this was just a mediocre Chinese meal, I wouldn’t be bothered to review… but our experience at Milton Chinese was an assault. I’m a local, and I’ve eaten happily all around town. Sadly I’ve never been treated with such disdain at a restaurant, ever. If you have any kind of dietary requirements or allergies, even if you just like good food, steer clear!! Despite us making it very clear when ordering that we were a group of vegetarians, one with mammalian meat allergy (anaphylactic), we received stale meat spring rolls and grey pork dumplings, which we unwittingly ate before realising.
The woman serving us completely - and spitefully - denied having any conversation about vegetarian options. Honestly, it felt like a nasty trick. I feel sorry that she clearly hates her job this much, but please someone employ her anywhere else but hospitality.

We camped here for one night, it was beautiful. You just need to check in with them and you can camp for free. Beautiful grassland, caravan is ok to camp as well. There is a water fountain outside, and toilets in the bowing club or in the park outside. No shower.

The Chinese restaurant is ok. Big serves of food and the ingredients are fresh enough. You get good bang for your buck but this is old school Chinese take out style food. It’s not the modern interpretation with its fusions and influences, it’s just Chinese food lol.

Classic country Chinese at the bowlo. Had the fried rice which was delicious and the Mongolian beef which was a little on the spicy side but nevertheless it was yummy. Food came out quick and great service. Had to try the fried ice cream, the batter had a nice lemon taste which was pretty cool. Tried this restaurant for the first time and I wasn’t too impressed.
The short soup was nice , but I’ve tasted better.
The special fried rice definitely wasn’t special, the sate chicken was a bit gluggy and not very tasty , and the sweet & sour pork was just pork , with a bit of sauce , no veggies at all.
For the prices they charge I would expect much higher quality.
Sorry , but wouldn’t recommend, and wouldn’t eat there again.

My husband and I had dinner there on Sunday night 17/8/25. It was freezing cold. The service was very unwelcoming. To be honest, the male waiter looked like he needed a good tub and his clothes were dishevelled. There was somebody in the kitchen that clearly had a bad cold and on a few occasions I heard them coughing uncontrollably and then to my discussed, I heard a loud squark ’ and a distinct spitting sound. I couldn’t help but wonder where was that person spitting whatever they had drawn out of their nose. My husband and I were both horrified. We sat there freezing waiting for our meal and had to listen to the disgusting noises coming from the kitchen. The food was not enjoyable and we both struggled to get through it. Ordinarily, I would’ve walked out but on this occasion we didn’t. I truly believe after our visit the health department needs to go in and do an inspection. If I could rate it less than one star I would.

I bought a mixed entree and pork ribs in honey pepper sauce a couple of hours ago. It was spectacular! The lady who served me was very kind and attentive. The food was truly outstanding. The entrees were cooked to perfection and the ribs melted in my mouth. Just had lunch time special! Chicken chow mein was tasteless. I'd say they'd washed the chicken as it had no flavour. Zucchini tasted as if it was on the turn.
We've had this dish there b4 and it was lovely! What happened? We were given rice instead of the hard noodles we asked for. Rice was tasteless, no shallots, one little prawn. I do not like writing reviews like this and was not expecting to have to. In 2024, on every occasion eating at or from the Harmony, the food and service were always excellent. Based on this, my family and I went there for dinner last night. The experience was beyond disappointing. The night started off ok, with the one entree ordered and shared by my husband, Mum and sister (fried calamari) provided in a good time frame and all said it was tasty. 35 minutes later, our mains had not arrived despite a full table behind us, who came in 25 minutes after us, being served their meals. We had to ask where our meals were. The meals them selves were way below any quality expected from a restaurant: the vegetables on the three mains (Mum had an entree for a main as she can't eat much), were not much above raw. The squid in my husbands meal was yellow and rubbery and tasted slightly 'off', as did some of the onion in my meal: it actually tasted off. My scallop meal came out last and well after all the other meals were served. It was supposed to be ginger and shallot scallops: it was not hot enough and the scallops looked like they might have been from a plastic bag - no ginger at all and no shallots and absolutely no flavour whatsoever. The meal did not even have a nice smell to it. Both my sister and husband agreed that the seafood in their dishes was not of good quality, tasting like it was old and past freshness. As for the service: two young serious-looking girls (possibly family judging by their approximate ages) and neither seemed thrilled to be there, so the service was robotic. Girls that age should be out doing something else they enjoy- not serving in a restaurant - my opinion. The fried rice was good and the only real saving grace. With wine, the cost was $168.00 and most of that was not well spent. Thoroughly disappointing and unexpected, so much so, we asked the girls if it was under new management, to which they said no. Maybe there is a new chef who needs to lift his or her game massively. Based on this experience, we will not be returning, which is a shame. I did not eat my meal. And that never happens! it was put in a takeaway dish to be chopped up and given to my chooks - I hope they forgive me.

We came for dinner whilst holidaying in the area and expected just a quick but good leagues club level Chinese dinner but we were disappointed. The pork and chicken dishes were plentiful to share. The rice was not enough to go across the dishes as a base for the 3 of us - there was no plain rice option on the menu (lucky we had our own spare rice to add to it, even if only the microwave variety). The menu is limited and not very descriptive. We have an older eater with delicate requirements. I had assumed the braised chicken would be pretty safe bet but it was too spicy for her. Yes I could have asked, but I had already checked whether the satay beef was the style of cooking or the peanut sauce (it was the latter) and I didn't want to keep asking questions. A more descriptive menu would allow for more informed choice, especially from such a limited menu. At least the pork went down well.

Would not even rate this a 1 star. The sweet and sour pork was the first issue. The pork itself was more over cooked batter around off cuts of actual pork- no bigger then a 20 cent piece. The satay beef was mushy, like it had been frozen and thawed one too many times, and the service when complained was rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately, we found the food from this restaurant to be not of good quality or quantity. The omelette was without sauce, the sweet & sour pork was like eating off cuts of pork rather than thick meaty chunks & the satay beef was very oily & lacked taste.
I can honestly say it was the worst expensive Chinese food I have had in my 6 decades. Please know that I don't usually leave reviews but tonight I felt compelled.

I don't know what Chinese restaurant the 5 star reviewers were eating at but it certainly wasn't this one.
The sweet and sour pork sauce was way too salty and had strawberries in it. Couldn't eat it, which just left us with incredibly dry hard pork pieces. Lemon chicken was gross. Curry beef was edible but the beef was half fat half meat. I would avoid this place and eat elsewhere in Callala.

The steam fish was so delicious, cooking time was right on point so the fish was still moist and fresh.

I left my original review below, but I’ve changed my rating to 4 stars because of the response from the business. Staff training can be hit and miss and everyone stuffs up from time to time, it’s okay! But I still feel that it’s a bit pricey, and there was meat in my vegetarian meal, so that’s why I’ve settled on 4/5. Good on the business from responding though, makes a big difference!

After reading the excellent reviews we gave this place a shot, but were really disappointed.
I just wanted some tofu and veg, and was told that I had to offer two “main meals” separately in order to get both. The tofu was $20, the vegetables $18. When I said that would be too much food, she said to “share it with your husband”. So I ordered it assuming it would be huge and I would have leftovers. Well I was wrong.
The photos show the very standard portions I received for $38. Insane. The food itself tasted fine, nothing memorable. My husband ordered the beef satay $22 and a side of rice $9 which was also an average at best. And not even a full container of beef satay, and heaps of cabbage.

Trusted the reviews on the usual websites, but they must be written by their friends. This would be the most bland, flavourless food Ive ever wasted $40 on. And how dare they knowingly pack food for take away that’s obviously burnt.
The spring rolls were light on filling/hollow. The chicken and sweet corn soup had no flavour, the chicken was obviously on holidays, there wasn’t really corn as far as I could tell…and it was over thickened. Flavourless chicken and corn soup, sans chicken or corn, apparently.
And then onto beef chow min with crispy noodles. Certainly crispy - literally burnt fried noodles. The chow min meat and veg was a generous serving, but even with the left over plum sauce, minimal flavour. How is that even possible?
I’d ordered takeaway and was told about 35 mins. Took longer - about 45 minutes. I appreciate that that can happen, but there were only two tables of people and 3 other take away orders in process.
For your info, they proudly display the food safety certificate which rated them 3 stars “good” for food safety and hygiene; thank goodness the place has something going for it. It’s clean enough in the restaurant and seems okay, but it’s not 4 or 5 stars either…
Never coming back. In fact, I’m so angry about them packing up obviously burnt noodles that while I normally support small family businesses, this one gets a massive thumbs down from me.

PS it’s difficult to find the place on a dark night when you’re a visitor. Seems to be at the back end of nowhere behind an industrial complex. Not well lit. No obvious signs, and no other open businesses around it.

I had braised king prawns with veggies in a curry sauce (scrumptious) and hubby had the seafood combo with ginger and shallots (also scrumptious). Pleasantly surprised how tasteful every single dish was!!! We ordered 8 different dishes for pick up and they were ready to go within 15 minutes!! The young lad serving us needs to sharpen up on their customer service skills and be more engaging, it appeared they wanted us to vanish into thing air after we collected our meal. Payment option was cash only...OR you could make a direct deposit into the business' account....a tad weird if you ask me; however the food quality soon made us overlook such minor details. Generous portions. Most mains are priced around the mid 20 dollar mark.
Definitely worth having tho. Sadly, there's no clear/ up to date menu or website listed other than those updated by customers.

Great option if you are craving some Chinese!!! Check them out they are just opposite to the Bomaderry railway station.

Plenty of prawns in my king prawn chow mein, perfecty cooked broccoli and cauliflower, well cooked chicken wings. Perfectly seasoned and not too oily wich are the worries when dinning in a chinese resto.

Please stay away if you are after authentic Chinese food. The serving size is big. But our food was put in the bin as we couldn’t eat it. Fried rice was just coloured plain rice. Black bean beef didn’t have any black bean taste. Rather bland. Soft noodles chowmein didn’t taste good too. Ended up throwing it all away and ordering pizzas for dinner.
