Beautifully located on the top of the mountain with Har Ki Pouri beneath it. The road ,if you go walking, is all winding and will take a long time to reach the top. There is cable car service which is pretty crowded but well organised and takes you up in minutes. The view on the way up or down is awesome, with Ganga stretching out for a very very long distance, the Har Ki Pouri, the bridges, etc you can see and the majestic mountains surrounding the area. The temple was quite crowded and people were unruly pushing and pulling, no crowd control as such. Even the darshan was difficult as people were pushing from the back. Apart from the crowd control rest is good. Jai maa Mansa Devi. 🙏

mansadevi Temple is a peaceful and beautiful place in Haridwar. The view from the top is really nice and you can go by ropeway or by walking. Water and sitting facilities are available at almost every turn which helps a lot while climbing. No photography is allowed inside the temple and there are no entry charges. A proper shoe stand is also available. The temple feels very spiritual and calm.

Mansa Devi Temple in Haridwar is one of the most popular and sacred temples, beautifully located on the Shivalik hills overlooking the Ganga and Har Ki Pauri. Devotees can reach the temple either by walking on the winding path or by using the ropeway (Udan Khatola), which offers a stunning aerial view of the city and river. The temple gets quite crowded, especially during festivals, but the atmosphere remains deeply spiritual. Facilities like water points and sitting areas are available. Photography isn’t allowed inside. A must-visit for peace and divine blessings.
Hari R — Google review
The temple is located on top of a hill accessed by a ropeway. There is some 15 minutes wait for the ropeway on crowded days. The charges are ₹190 per person and you can book ropeway for Chandi Devi temple too at a discounted package rate here. There is a sloping walkway also available. The views from the ropeway is breathtaking, but the approach to it is through narrow lanes in between houses and dilapidated structures. The Q system was good till the final steps to the temple. Then it became crowded and unruly, maybe due to Diwali week. You can buy some Prasad along the Queue which will be offered to the Goddess and given back. There is a place to keep footwear after the ropeway ride.

Might be a little controversial but still I will write. This place is very bad, the priest refused to give us prasad as we look poor but behind us there are 2 people who looks rich and the pandit given prasad to them but not to us. Felt bad but it's a part of life

🌟 Maya Devi Temple, Haridwar 🌟 A peaceful and sacred temple located very close to the Ganga River, near Birla Ghat in Haridwar. It’s one of the ancient temples in the city and holds great spiritual significance. The temple is very clean and well-maintained, offering a calm and divine atmosphere for devotees and visitors. Inside, you can feel a deep sense of peace while seeking blessings from Goddess Maya Devi. There is also a dharamshala (guesthouse) available nearby for those who wish to stay. It's simple but convenient, especially for spiritual travelers and pilgrims. If you're visiting Haridwar, especially near Har Ki Pauri or Birla Ghat, I highly recommend taking some time to visit this temple. Truly a divine experience!

Maya Devi temple is situated on the top of the hill.the decoration of the ma idol is very very attractive.there are two means of transport i.e.walk and rope way(cost is 199 and the combine cost including chandi temple is 349).for rope way there is vip ticket also which costs 649 for two temples.the worst thing is we have to wait for 2-3 hrs for rope way but the darshan will happens in less than 5 minutes.we to wait again by standing(since there is no room to wait at the temple) for rope way.much preferable is kalakand sweet which is available in the waiting hall of the rope way.

Bharat Mata Temple, located in Haridwar, is a distinctive multi-storey shrine inaugurated by the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1983. Standing at 180 feet tall with 8 floors, it celebrates India's unity in diversity. Each floor is dedicated to different themes such as Indian heroes, renowned women personalities, saints, and religious harmony. The temple features a unique map of undivided India made from diverse stones and offers mesmerizing views.
This is a unique temple with 7 floors, each featuring different statues and themes. Visitors can access the floors via lift. A ticket for ₹20 allows you to visit all floors. On the 6th floor, there is a video presentation with four clips detailing various Hindu temples. If you prefer not to visit the 7th floor, you can buy a ticket for ₹5 instead. Exploring the temple typically takes around 50 minutes.
Sai N — Google review
Bharat Mata Temple in Haridwar is an interesting and unique multi-story shrine dedicated to Mother India, standing out among the usual temples of the city. The concept is patriotic and educational, with each of its eight floors showcasing different themes—ranging from freedom fighters and revered women of India to saints from various religions and deities from Hindu mythology. The structure itself is impressive, and the views from the top are quite nice. However, I found the overall experience to be just average. While the lift is convenient for reaching higher floors (with a small fee), coming down requires taking the stairs, which may be difficult for elderly visitors. The temple can sometimes get crowded, and the atmosphere, although culturally rich, doesn’t always feel very spiritual. Cleanliness and maintenance were decent, but nothing extraordinary, and there’s little guidance or signage to help visitors fully appreciate the significance of each floor. In summary, Bharat Mata Temple is worth a visit for its concept and architecture, especially if you have an interest in Indian history and culture. But don’t expect a deeply spiritual experience or top-notch facilities. Overall, a satisfactory stop in Haridwar, but not a must-see if you’re short on time.
Vatsal G — Google review
Bharat Mata Temple in Haridwar is one of the most unique temples in India. The temple has seven floors, each representing a special theme such as gods, saints, freedom fighters, and spiritual leaders. A lift is available for visitors, and entry tickets are very affordable. The ground floor has a grand idol of Bharat Mata, symbolizing the soul of India. The digital show about Jyotirlingas, Char Dham, and Shaktipeeths adds great value to the visit. The temple is clean, well-maintained, and gives a peaceful feeling. A must-visit for those exploring Haridwar’s cultural and spiritual side.
Hari R — Google review
It's a good temple for a visit, in the ground floor has an idol of Bharat Mata signifying the true Identity and valor of India. Above that there are 5 floors in which different gods, religious preachers, freedom fighters are displayed. There is also a 30-40 minutes digital show in the 2nd floor related to Jyotirlingas, 51 shaktipeeths, char dham and mount Kailash which is interesting as well. All in all a good visit 👍
Shuvottam S — Google review
Its very different temple. It has 5 floors. You need to by the ticket of rs. 5 for the lift. And can visit every floor. There are different statues in every floor with different themes. It will take around 20 minutes.

Perched atop the Neel Parvat in the Shivalik Hills, Shri Maa Chandi Devi Temple is a historic Hindu pilgrimage site with a rich legacy. Built in 1929, it is believed to house an ancient idol of the goddess dating back to the 8th century. The temple attracts devotees year-round and is known as a Siddha Peetha, where worshippers seek fulfillment of their desires.
Chandi devi temple located at hilltop of Neel Parvat was memorable experience. We went by ropeway to enjoy bird's eye view of Haridwar, Ganda river and surrounding hills. Early Morning Trekking is also good option to enjoy panaramic view. You can either buy combo of Mansa devi and chandi devi temple the only thing is you should be able to reach both temples on the same day if there's no long queues then it's easy. When we went in 2022 combo charges 324 rs per person while only chandi devi temple ticket charges 195 rs per person. Temple is clean and well maintained. Temple premises contains idols of lord kali ma, sankat mochan hanuman, Maa Annapurna, Santoshi Maa etc. This siddhpeeth is heavy crowded on festive like Navratri and holiday season. There are waiting halls at each levels and quite nice dining cafe inside and children game area to spend sometime. You'll find beautiful dress photography studies at all places in haridwar rishikesh masoorie.

Ma Chandi Devi Mandir, located on the beautiful Neel Parvat hill in Haridwar, is one of the most sacred and enchanting temples in Uttarakhand. Dedicated to Goddess Chandi Devi, this temple is not only a significant spiritual destination but also a place that fills the heart with peace and devotion. According to mythology, the temple marks the site where Goddess Chandi defeated the demons Chanda and Munda, symbolizing the victory of good over evil. The journey to the temple itself is memorable. Devotees can either trek up the hill or take the ropeway (Udan Khatola), which is an experience in itself. The ropeway offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Ganga River, the lush green forests, and the entire city of Haridwar. As you ascend, the cool breeze and scenic beauty make the ride truly mesmerizing. It feels as if you’re floating above nature’s divine canvas. The temple premises are clean, well-maintained, and radiate positive energy. The aura of the Goddess, combined with the chants of devotees, creates a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Visiting Ma Chandi Devi Mandir is not just a religious trip—it’s a soulful experience that connects you with faith, nature, and inner peace. A must-visit place for anyone coming to Haridwar.
Himanshu K — Google review
The temple is peaceful and worth visiting, but the overall management is poor. Ropeway waiting time is 1–2 hours and the area is overcrowded. Biggest issue is returning without your own vehicle — auto drivers refuse to go unless their big autos are full, making tourists wait for hours. Strongly recommend visiting only if you have your own transport. We recently visited Chandi Devi Temple in Haridwar and while the temple itself is serene and spiritually uplifting, the overall experience left us disappointed due to poor management around the visit. To reach the temple, you need to take the tram (ropeway) service, but the waiting time is extremely long — anywhere between 1–2 hours. The starting point for the tram is overcrowded, which makes the wait even more uncomfortable. There are some small shops for souvenirs, snacks, and games, but that doesn’t balance the chaos. Once you reach the top, there is a small hike via stairway to the temple. The stairs are divided into two sides — one for going up (which is in good condition) and one for coming down (which is poorly maintained and quite difficult to walk on). All of this could still be manageable, but the biggest problem starts when you have to return to your hotel or onward destination without your own vehicle. The auto drivers outside act like goons — they refuse to take passengers unless their large autos are filled completely, or you hire the entire vehicle even if you’re a single person. When I asked small auto drivers, they said they’re afraid of the big ones as they get threatened or beaten if they pick up customers from there. We ended up waiting more than an hour just to get back, which completely ruined the experience. The temple is worth visiting, but I strongly recommend going with your own vehicle. The authorities really need to step in and resolve this transportation issue, as it’s making tourists suffer unnecessarily.

Chandi Devi Temple in Haridwar is a wonderful destination for families seeking a mix of spirituality and adventure. The scenic ropeway ride to the hilltop temple offers stunning views that children and adults alike will enjoy, making the journey as memorable as the visit itself. Shree Daksheshwar Mahadev - Daksh Prajapati Temple is a vibrant and significant Hindu temple situated near the River Ganges. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and holds historical importance related to the tale of King Daksha, Sati, and Lord Shiva.
The temple where Mata sati was born and also the same place where she jumped into the hawan kund, when mahadev is insulted by his father. After listening to this that Mata sati is no more mahadev incarnate veerbhadra one of his most aggressive and powerful entity and command him to kill prajapati daksh, and also command him if any God, Gandharva, army, demi God came up in his way then also kill them but don't stop.. so veerbhadra defeated the whole army and tear them like a piece of paper and killed the prajapati daksh by his single attack and separate his head from his body. After that mahadeb took Mata sati body and roamed in the entire world here and there , and seeing this lord Vishnu start cutting Mata sati body in many parts and each part fallen down on earth and where the all 108 pieces are fall are today's known as shaktipeeth..

Where Divinity Meets Eternity – Daksheswar Mahadev Temple, Kankhal In the serene heart of Kankhal, Haridwar, lies Daksheswar Mahadev Temple — more than just a temple, it is a place where myth and divinity quietly breathe as one. This sacred site holds deep significance in Hindu mythology, marking the place where King Daksha performed his yajna and where Goddess Sati, overcome with grief and devotion, surrendered herself to the sacred fire. The temple echoes the divine tale of Lord Shiva’s sorrow, the creation of Virbhadra, and the eternal love between Shiva and Sati — a story of cosmic energy, sacrifice, and spiritual union. Even today, the energy here is palpable — peaceful yet deeply powerful. As you walk through the temple’s corridors, you don’t just witness devotion… you feel it. The gentle chimes of the bells, the fragrance of incense, and the chants in the air transport you to another realm. It’s a place where time slows down, where the heart feels light, and where the spirit quietly bows. A must-visit for every spiritual traveler, devotee, or seeker of divine peace. Daksheswar Mahadev Temple is not just a destination — it’s a divine moment carved into the heart of Haridwar. It is one of the most peaceful and spiritually powerful places in Haridwar. The temple has a deep connection with ancient history and mythology, especially the story of Sati and Lord Shiva. The energy here is very strong, and you feel a deep sense of devotion the moment you enter. The temple is clean, well-maintained, and beautifully built. There’s a calm atmosphere around, and it’s usually not very crowded, so you can peacefully do darshan and spend some time in meditation or prayer. It’s a must-visit for Shiva devotees and anyone interested in spiritual or historical places. A truly divine experience! 🙏🏻💫

Rajaji National Park is a sprawling wildlife sanctuary located on the foothills of the picturesque Shiwalik ranges, covering over 820 square kilometers. It boasts a rich biodiversity with over 400 species of birds and the highest population of elephants. The park offers jungle safaris and eco-tourism cottages for visitors to immerse themselves in nature. While exploring, you may encounter various animals such as deer, peacocks, and colorful birds.
It's one of the best and most well maintained national parks in Uttarakhand. The staff and forest guard officers are extremely courteous and polite to help you with any queries. I would certainly visit again for some great sightings. Recommend everyone to visit with their family's!

Rajaji National Park – A Hidden Gem of Nature’s Majesty Visiting Rajaji National Park was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the foothills of the Shivalik range near Haridwar, this lesser-known gem offers a perfect blend of wilderness, peace, and raw natural beauty. The dense sal forests, sparkling rivers, and vast grasslands create a breathtaking landscape that immediately puts your soul at ease. One of the most captivating parts of the park is its rich biodiversity. I was lucky enough to spot elephants, peacocks, deer, and a variety of birds. The sheer thrill of being so close to wildlife in their natural habitat is an experience that stays with you long after you leave. The early morning safari was especially enchanting — mist floating over the riverbed, sunlight piercing through the trees, and the sounds of the forest waking up made it truly unforgettable. Rajaji is also less crowded compared to other national parks, which means you get to enjoy nature without the noise and chaos of too many tourists. It’s the kind of place that reminds you how powerful and peaceful nature can be. Whether you’re a wildlife lover, a nature photographer, or someone looking to escape city life and reconnect with nature, Rajaji National Park is a must-visit. It’s not just a destination — it’s an experience that fills you with awe and calm.

This temple in Haridwar is a very peaceful and beautiful place. There is a lot of greenery all around, which makes it feel calm and fresh. The area is big and perfect for taking nice photos. It's a great place to enjoy nature and feel relaxed. You can also see the beauty of this place but I think you go for the photography or for the peace.

shantikun Retreat Experience 🌿✨ In June, we visited Shantikun with our family and stayed for around 4 days. The environment was incredibly peaceful and serene, offering us a much-needed break from the hustle of daily life. 🌸 The people there were warm, kind, and spoke with such love and respect—it truly felt like a spiritual home. During our stay, we participated in Sharamdaan (voluntary service), took part in a sacred Hawan (fire ritual) 🔥, and even received Diksha (spiritual initiation), which made the experience deeply meaningful and memorable. 🙏 Overall, it was a soul-refreshing journey filled with positivity and tranquility. 🌞

One of the worst places I have visited in my life, Its name should be Ashanti kunj. Reason - 1.Mannerless guards and other people. 2. Unheignic rooms or you can say halls. 3. Poor planning, you have to borrow Blanket and mattress from a central place and carry to your hall. 4. You can't buy water bottle from 9 PM itself ,u need to fill from water coolers. 5. No reason to stay here except free of cost , technically u should leave ur respect aside if u want to stay here. This place is not for young person who went to enjoy Haridwar, its for those who are only spiritual person. There buildings are clean but rooms were very unheignic and filled with manner less people. Kindly don't take your kids to this worst place, stay safe and take a good Hotel or refer some good and reputed Ashram if you want to live in ashram only.

Jai Ram Ashram, located in Bhimgoda, Haridwar, was established by Adi Guru Sri Jai Ram Maharaj in 1891 and has gained popularity for its services. The ashram is situated near the city center and offers well-maintained gardens with colorful fountains and blooming flowers. It provides accommodation near the Har ki Pauri and offers a serene atmosphere by the Ganga river.
I bet you can't get a better place to stay in Haridwar. Located just walking distance from Har ki Pauri, this Ashram offers so much positivity when you are there. Located right on the bank of river Ganga, this is just an amazing place. Rooms are so near and clean. The Lunch and Dinner which this place offers is eve better than any luxurious meal you'll ever have. Just undoubtedly best place to stay in Haridwar. Location on Google maps is not correct. This is located right opposite to Yatri Niwas at Bhim Goda.

Office staff behavior very rude and show attitude. They don't know how to talk to people. There is no clarity how much room charge against each category, it should be transparent so that visitor aware and office people are not ask over price. As per office staff minimum charges Rs 4100/day more than Hotel charges. Owner / chairperson please look such issue otherwise vistor avoid take this. As I am aware Jai Ram one of the best ashram in Haridwar.

We’ve been staying at Saptarishi Ashram in Haridwar for the past 4 days in the month of May, and it’s been a truly wonderful experience. Nestled by the serene banks of the Ganga, surrounded by natural beauty, the ashram offers a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city—yet it’s only 3-4 km away. Each guest has their own independent cottage at a very minimal cost, making it feel like a home away from home. The staff are extremely kind, helpful, and ensure a comfortable stay. bring your utensils and cook food for yourself, otherwise just told them they deliver at your stay, If you’re looking for calm, simplicity, and a spiritual touch in Haridwar, this place is a hidden gem!

Saptarshi Ashram, located on the serene banks of the Ganges River in Haridwar, is a peaceful sanctuary for spiritual seekers. Known for its rich history and mythology, the ashram is named after the seven great sages (Sapt Rishis) who meditated here. Its tranquil atmosphere and proximity to the holy Ganges create a spiritually charged environment perfect for meditation and self-reflection. Visitors can participate in yoga and meditation sessions led by experienced practitioners, offering a deep sense of peace and mental clarity. One of the highlights of the ashram is the evening Ganga Aarti, a mesmerizing experience that combines rhythmic mantras, flickering diyas, and the calming flow of the river, providing a truly divine ambiance. The ashram also hosts spiritual lectures and discourses by renowned saints, offering valuable insights into ancient teachings and modern spirituality. Emphasizing an eco-friendly and simple lifestyle, Saptarshi Ashram provides various accommodation options, from basic rooms to more comfortable choices, catering to all types of visitors. A dip in the holy Ganges is believed to cleanse the soul, adding to the rejuvenating experience of the ashram. The best time to visit is between October and April when the weather is pleasant. A visit to Saptarshi Ashram is an opportunity to disconnect from the chaos of daily life and connect with the divine in a peaceful, sacred space.

OMG! This is a scenic heavenly looking place with the least crowd, unlike the rest of Haridwar. This is a spot where you find the peace and solace you look for and the view of clear pristine Ganga. Its pastel colored rocky banks soothes your eyes, its ripples soothes your ears and the cold breeze soothes your senses. It’s a very photogenic place for photographers and who loves to take good portraits with a calming backdrop. Here the water is clear and you can see the river bed very clearly.

A very good location for stay. If you want a place to stay outside the hussle of city this is a gem place. We stayed in 4 bedded 2 room kutia. It was an awesome stay. Everyone loved it. There is a private ghat near Maa Ganga, with is hardly 200mtr in walking distance. You can enjoy the morning sunrise. It's better to book the kutia before visiting but as I have seen there is no such rush so generally kutia is available. Rooms are not as clean as hotels but it is good. Better ask for new buildings. These are good.

Neat and clean, lots of mango trees and accomodation in seperate kutir apartments, plenty of parking. Located at the place where Sapt-Rishis worshiped -no where on world this location can be replicated. Have their own Ghat on Ganga, neat and clean to bathe. Ganga Aarti Sthal in Haridwar is a vibrant hub of spirituality and devotion, where the sacred Ganges River becomes the backdrop for an enchanting evening ritual. Each night at Har Ki Pauri ghat, priests lead a mesmerizing ceremony filled with light and sound, as they perform prayers using bowls of fire while temple bells resonate through the air. This captivating event draws both tourists and devotees from around the globe who gather to witness this beautiful spectacle.
Witnessing the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri is truly a divine and unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is filled with devotion, the sound of mantras, conch shells, and bells create spiritual vibes that touch the soul. The sight of hundreds of diyas floating on the holy Ganga is mesmerizing and gives a feeling of peace and positivity. 🌸🙏 It does get very crowded, especially during weekends and festivals, so reaching early helps in getting a good spot. Still, the energy of the crowd, the chants, and the spiritual aura make it worth every moment. A must-visit experience in Haridwar! 🌊✨

Experiencing the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri Ghat in Haridwar is truly magical. The vibrant rituals, the rhythmic chants, and the glow of countless diyas floating on the holy river create an unforgettable spiritual atmosphere. The devotion, energy, and peacefulness of the place make it a must-visit for anyone seeking a profound spiritual experience. Watching the sunset over the Ganga while witnessing the Aarti is simply mesmerizing.

Witnessing the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar is a truly divine and unforgettable experience. I had only heard about it before, but seeing it in person during my yatra was something beyond words. In the evening, when the aarti takes place, the entire ghat comes alive with the sound of mantras, conch shells (shankh), and bells (ghanti), creating an atmosphere filled with devotion. The sight of hundreds of diyas (lamps) floating on the holy Ganga ji is mesmerizing and gives an overwhelming sense of peace and positivity. It is said that attending the early morning aarti offers an even more serene experience, as the crowd is smaller and you can witness the rituals closely. I was fortunate to experience the aarti from a very close distance, and it felt truly adbhut (wonderful) and avismarniya (unforgettable). Yes, the place gets very crowded, especially on weekends, festivals, or during special occasions, so reaching early is advisable. Still, the spiritual energy, the collective chanting of “Har Har Gange,” and the divine aura make every moment worth it. Har Ki Pauri is not just a place to visit, but an experience to feel deep within the heart. A must-visit for every yatri who comes to Haridwar. 🌊🙏

Haridwar, one of the main destinations to attend Maa Ganga( Ganges) Arti. Every day at around 6:30 PM and even the early morning.,There will be Arti performed and the view is just holy, divine, incredible... We can also take a holy dip in the River banks where you have heavy chains, which we can hold and take a holy dip. Bear in mind, the flow will be very fast, so do not dare to leave the chain nor cross the barricades AT ALL!! Note: You need to reach the ghat atleast by 5-5:30 if you have to secure the seats on the bank stairs to experience the Arti and an amazing view. There will be 1000's of devotees come to attend Arti. ( No tickets, no special entries) It's always a first come first serve basis spots to be secured. We should surely attend the Ganga Arti in Haridwar atleast once it's life time. It's divine.
Nikhilesh T — Google review
Har Ki Pauri is a place on the banks of the Ganga that is spiritually uplifting and has a divine atmosphere, especially during the evening Ganga Aarti. A mystical experience is produced by the sound of chants, the glow of oil lamps, and the movement of the holy river. Be prepared for sizable crowds, particularly on evenings or during festivals. You should be careful with your possessions because the area can get crowded. Although there is room for improvement in terms of cleanliness and infrastructure, the overall spiritual atmosphere makes the trip worthwhile. A Must-See for Spiritual Seekers and Devotees 🎯Ideal Time: Right before bed or in the early morning Aarti ♠️ Advice: If you want peace, stay vigilant in crowded areas and steer clear of busy days.
Rituraj K — Google review
Ganga maiya ki Aarti at Brahmakund- Har ki Pauriare is absolutely divine and worth experiencing. The spiritual atmosphere which includes mantra, bell sound, the beauty of the river, and the devotion of the people create a profound sense of peace and connection with super power. Evening mantra of Ganga maiya starts at 5:30pm and Aarti 6:15pm. Allokik nazara of Ganga Aarti is unforgettable.
Amit K — Google review
Technical tips: Currently as of now, Mid-october, the Ganga Pujan starts from 5.30 PM and concludes at 6 PM, the Ganga Aarti starts at 6.15 PM and finishes off at 6.30 PM. It happens at Har ki paudi ghat and its always advisable to cross the bridge and sit on the other side of the main ghat. Obviously without saying, its better to take seat 45 minutes before the Ganga Pujan as once the Aarti starts, all stood at the backside. So there is a chaos like situation during the Aarti time, so be prepared for that. Commercialization: Obviously, this Ganga Aarti and every arrangement is done by the Shri Ganga Sabha organization and expects a donation request from them at least 3-4 times during this whole Pujan and Aarti. Though entirely voluntary, it still looked forceful sometimes. Obviously, this Ganga Aarti is a must-visit when you are in Haridwar. Mind you, the nearest car park is at least 15 minutes walk from this place. Another important point is that the roads from the ghat are completely barricaded during the aarti, so you can't leave the place midway during the pujan or aarti.
Shinjan P — Google review
Very nice but BEWARE OF THE CORRUPT PANDITS who in the name of a simple puja will cheat you by throwing surprises in between the puja by asking for pitra moksha, family prosperity, feeding brahmins. Apart from the corrupt organised practice rampant in the Aarti area rest everything is beautiful. The Aarti starts every day at 6pm and it's a 20-25 ,mins function. But to get a good view of the Aarti it's better to reach early and make sure that you be on the opposite bank of the river where there are steps and people can sit. Unless you want to do a puja don't even come to the place where the Aarti is conducted. This is where the organised cheating is done by the pundits.

Here 3 big showrooms of reliance digital, trends and footwear and a pantaloon store all other are small scale shops most of the shops in top 3 floors are empty. So I only recommend it for movies or just burning calories as no centralised ac is working and the accelerator and lift are all shut underground parking has water clogging and is very smelly.

This Pentagon Mall is located in Sidcul Haridwar, this is the largest mall of this area but for some time many shops are empty, which causes the grandeur of the small, the mall is a cinema house in which the middle is the best.

*A Visit to Pentagon Mall, Haridwar: A Mixed Bag* I recently visited Pentagon Mall in Haridwar, and my experience was a mix of both positive and negative aspects. Located in the SIDCUL area of Haridwar, the mall is a notable landmark and a popular destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment. As I entered the mall, I was struck by its grandeur and spaciousness. The mall boasts a vast area, with multiple floors and a wide range of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. However, what caught my attention was the vast number of vacant shops, giving the mall a somewhat deserted and isolated feel. Despite being one of the largest malls in Haridwar, Pentagon Mall seems to be struggling to attract and retain tenants, which affects its overall ambiance. The mall's Wave Cinemas, on the other hand, seems to be a highlight, with visitors praising the cinema's quality and service. I was told that the cinema is well-maintained and offers a great movie experience. The food court has some popular brands like McDonald's, Burger King, and Domino's, making it a good spot for dining. One of the pleasant surprises during my visit was the staff behavior. Despite the mall's isolated feel, the staff were courteous, helpful, and attentive. They seemed to be genuinely interested in assisting visitors and making their experience pleasant. However, there were some areas that need improvement. The mall's infrastructure, while grand, seems to be in need of maintenance. The lifts and escalators were not functioning, which made navigating the multiple floors challenging. The underground parking area was also poorly maintained, with water clogging and unpleasant odors. Overall, my visit to Pentagon Mall was a mixed experience. While the staff behavior was commendable, the mall's isolated location, vacant shops, and maintenance issues detracted from my overall experience. If you're a movie buff or looking for a quick dining experience, Pentagon Mall might be worth visiting. However, if you're looking for a comprehensive shopping experience, you might want to explore other options. *Rating:* 3.5/5 *Pros:* - Courteous and helpful staff - Wave Cinemas offers a great movie experience - Food court has popular brands *Cons:* - Isolated location - Vacant shops and lack of tenants - Poor maintenance and infrastructure - Underground parking area needs improvement *Tips for Visitors:* - Plan your visit according to the mall's operating hours and movie timings - Be prepared for limited shopping options due to vacant shops - Take necessary precautions when using the underground parking area - Consider visiting during weekdays to avoid crowds In conclusion, while Pentagon Mall has its strengths, it needs to work on its weaknesses to provide a better experience for visitors. With some improvements in maintenance, infrastructure, and tenant retention, the mall could realize its full potential and become a top destination in Haridwar.

A MALL WHICH HAS LOST ITS CHARM!!! I visited this mall while I was on a business trip to haridwar. I was a bit confused about this place as the mall had 5 floors out of which about 65%of the space was vacant. The 5th and 4th were empty like not even a single shop was there. My review about this place is as follows 1)There was no Food court as mall it was only McD, Burger King and Domino's Pizza with there own dinning area. 2). There is only 2 bar in the mall which do not have all the liquor 🥃. When I asked they said no one like it here. I noticed basic beers were not there. 3) Qsr like McD Burger King is there but no speciality dining or fine dine restaurant available there. 4).In the mall there were No big retail players of daily use commodities like no Reliance Mart no Lulu supermarket. 5).Yes, there was a daily use commodities local brand called Spencers in the basement having electronics, kitchen appliances, clothing and food but some of the daily necessity items were not there. 6). Reliance industries Ltd has 3 big shops here Reliance Digital in the basement Reliance Trends and Reliance trends footwear. 7).The other big shop in the mall is only the pantaloons. 8). You will find few brands like Van Heusen,Mufti, Levis, puma, spyker and numero Uno. 9)l To my surprise a Miniso was there as well which I was not expecting. 10).I alcohol shop name as world of whiskey was also available 11). For kids a toy train, remote run cars, some small rides were there, trampoline Banjee jumping was also available moving forward we saw Mechanical bull ride and 360 rotating reel maker was there 12).Cricket practice net with a balling machine. 13).It was noticed people Escalator were very happy and were recording their walk on the Escalator. Summary:-Over all it's a dead mall. Can do better if they get more brands and if the mall management promotes the mall on social media and by local influences.

Hindu temple
Perched atop Neel Parvat in the holy city of Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India, the Chandi Devi Temple is a Hindu shrine dedicated to Chandika Devi. Legend has it that she was created from the energy of Devi Durga to vanquish the demon kings Shumbha and Nishumbha. The temple offers serene surroundings for contemplation and spiritual solace, although visitors should be cautious of mischievous monkeys.
So there are two ways to reach here, one is a ropeway and the other one is a trek. If you're in a hurry, visiting on a sunny hot day, I would suggest going for the ropeway otherwise trek is also a good option. It has a scenic view but #*BEWARE OF MONKEYS*# The temple is quiet and peaceful. Even on a weekend, the atmosphere and vibe is all heavenly and healthy. There won't be any rush if you go in early morning hours and there are plenty of shops where you can buy the "prasad" so don't stick on one and move forward. There are no charges for the show keeping and #Beware of pickpockets# Few steps upward is another temple, if you're going here I'll suggest to visit that one as well. It is also very calm and peaceful For the #parking There is no such proper place. U might have to park on the road, near the hill or along the mountains. For #ropeway There are plenty of cable cars and hence your number will arrive soon. Even though you book online, you would have to wait and take ur number from here. A counter is present here, you can also buy tickets offline from there. If you are planning to visit mansa devi temple as well, I would suggest u to buy the tickets beforehand, either from this counter or online, cz there the crowd and rush is 🫡 Last but not the least, don't forget to buy the peda from here, the most loved prasad.

Visited Shree Ma Chandi Devi Temple on 20th April 2025. To reach the temple, we bought tickets for the ropeway service called Udan Khatola. Tickets were priced at ₹240 per person. It was quite hot that day, but the short ropeway ride — just a few minutes from the bottom to the hilltop — was comfortable and offered beautiful views. The temple itself has a simple and peaceful architecture, which adds to its charm. However, be prepared for long queues at every step, from the ropeway boarding point to the temple entrance and inside the temple premises. Despite the crowd, the overall experience was spiritually uplifting. The ropeway is well-managed, and the staff was helpful, but due to the heat and waiting time, it’s a good idea to carry water and maybe visit earlier in the day. Overall, a memorable visit to one of Haridwar’s most sacred spots!
Bikash D — Google review

Maa Chandi Devi Temple is a serene and spiritually uplifting place located on top of Neel Parvat in Haridwar. The views from the temple are breathtaking, especially during sunrise. The ropeway (Chandi Devi Udankhatola) is well-organized and makes the journey convenient, especially for elderly visitors. It's about a 5–10 minute ride offering scenic views of the Ganga and surrounding hills. The temple is clean, well-maintained, and has a peaceful vibe. Darshan is usually smooth, but it can get crowded during festivals. A must-visit when in Haridwar
The W — Google review
A truly divine experience at Shri Maa Chandi Devi Temple! Located atop Neel Parvat, the temple offers not just spiritual peace but also breathtaking panoramic views of Haridwar and the Ganga river. The energy here is powerful—it’s easy to feel a deep sense of devotion and calm in the presence of Maa Chandi. The ropeway ride (Udankhatola) is well-managed and adds to the overall experience, especially if you’re visiting with elderly family members or children. For the adventurous, the trek uphill is equally rewarding and spiritually enriching. The temple is clean, well-organized, and the priests are helpful but not pushy. Visiting during Navratri made the whole atmosphere even more vibrant and devotional.
Sai L — Google review
Visiting the Maa Chandi Devi Temple in Haridwar is a journey filled with devotion, peace, and divine energy. Situated atop the Neel Parvat on the eastern side of the Ganga River, this temple is one of the most revered Shakti Peethas and a must-visit for anyone coming to Haridwar. The experience begins with either a ropeway ride (Chandi Devi Udankhatola) or a scenic uphill trek. The ropeway offers breathtaking views of the city, Ganga River, and lush hills — it feels as if you're slowly ascending toward the divine. Once you reach the top, the calmness of the surroundings and the ringing of temple bells instantly create a spiritual atmosphere. Inside the temple, the idol of Maa Chandi Devi, believed to have been installed by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century, is powerful and awe-inspiring. Devotees offer flowers, coconuts, and prayers with deep devotion. The temple priests are humble and guide visitors respectfully through the rituals. It is believed that worshipping here helps one overcome obstacles, fear, and negativity. During Navratri and other special occasions, the temple sees thousands of devotees, yet it still holds a peaceful vibration that touches the heart. The view from the temple is equally divine — you can see the majestic flow of the Ganga and the holy city of Haridwar from above. The air feels fresh, and the spiritual energy is high. In summary, Maa Chandi Devi Temple is more than a place of worship — it’s a sacred experience of strength, surrender, and divine motherly love. A visit here brings not just blessings, but a deep inner peace. 🌸⛰️🙏
Sudhanshu K — Google review
Chandi Devi Temple is highly revered by devotees as a Siddh Peetha which is a place of worship where desires get fulfilled. It is one of three such Peethas located in Haridwar, the other two being Mansa Devi Temple and Maya Devi Temple. Goddess Chandi also known as Chandika is the presiding deity of the temple. The story of the origin of Chandika is as follows: Long time ago, the demon kings Shumbha and Nishumbha had captured the kingdom of the god-king of heaven - Indra and thrown the gods from Swarga (heaven). After intense prayers by the gods, a goddess emerged from Parvati. An exceptionally beautiful woman and amazed by her beauty, Shumbha desired to marry her. On being refused, Shumbha sent his demon chiefs Chanda and Munda to kill her. They were killed by goddess Chamunda who originated out of Chandika's anger. Shumbha and Nishumbha then collectively tried to kill Chandika but were instead slain by the goddess. Thereafter, Chandika is said to have rested for a short while at the top of Neel Parvat and later a temple was built here to testify the legend. Also, the two peaks located in the mountain range are called Shumbha and Nishumbha.

Situated on the banks of the Ganga River and surrounded by mountains, it offers a serene environment for visitors to enjoy the evening Ganga Aarti.
Simple but great place for overnight stay in Haridwar Rishikesh region. Attached toilet, big rooms and basic amenities that you expect in a Dharamshala. It is not a hotel. Don't expect hotel like service or facilities.

"I really liked this place." A huge property of 180 rooms big and small on the way to shanti kunj on Dehradun highway. Ample parking space, two huge halls for religious functions. AC Cooler & simple rooms to choose from. Rooms itself are big in size with 2-3-4 bed options with attached lat bath facility. Cleanliness is on top priority both inside and outside the room. Beautiful parks, and temples add to its value. Staff is helpful. There is peace. And the cherry on top is that they have an attached restaurant which serves delicious food really tasty. Someone looking for a calm and relaxing stay outside the city in cheaper prices can go for it.

Shri Ramanand Ashram in Haridwar is located in Shravan Nath Nagar which is near the railway station. This is the important ashram in the Ramanand Sampraday. The current chief of the Ashram is Mahant Bhagwan Das. Shri Ramanand Swami was born to a Brahmin family and is considered to be the incarnation of Uddavji who was a very close friend of Lord Shri Krishna. Uddhav Sampradhay was founded and headed by Shri Ramanand Swami. He adopted the Vishishtadvaita doctrine of vaishnavas that was advocated by Shri Ramanuja, a Vaishnavite saint. It is also believed that during his visit to Sri Rangam in his early life Shri Ramanand Swami was given “diksha” by Shri Ramanuja and has appointed him as an acharya in his line. After which he travelled north to Kathiyavad and started spreading his philosophy. In 1802, before his death he passed the Uddhav Sampraday to Swaminarayan. From Purusharthi Market near the Haridward Railway Junction, head towards Haridwar Main Road at the south-east Pass by Sabharwal Railway Tickets. On the left at 150m turn left at Hotel Orchid Inn, turn right at Hotel Astha, at 57m turn right again at 140 Km turn left and at 72m you will find Shri Ramanand Ashram in Haridwar.

The asram established in the name of Swamy Ramanand. It's a non profit organization by its kind. The means and intention of the asram is to take care of the monks, brahmacharis by providing essential eminitis like food, accomodation, necessary medication etc.etc. in short and long term basis as per sadhaka's requirement......... In a asram poojarij is the HOD. He is performing poojas, timely rituals, and overall daily routine activities assisted byany followers or imates of the asram. Ramanandasram basically are vaishnavas and follow that tradition. Vaishnava monks and brahmacharis wear white dhothis mainly and jubbas but white only. They wear thulasy mala(ornament) and not rudrakhas. They worship God vishnu. But the asram accomodate any denomination of monks with kavi or any type of dress code without any discrimination. Ramanand asram have many branches throughout India. Uttarkashi, Haridwar,Rishikesh, 4 asrams at Madyapradesh including Guna, inGujrath(exact place unknown) Kanyakumari,Rameshwaram........ And more. But this much is known to me.

Bustling amusement park with rides for younger & older kids, water slides, boating & video games.
This time I just visited the outside of the crystal world but I did visit this place during my school time and it was so much fun. A theme park to visit with family and friends as all age groups can have fun here and it is worth visiting. Even today when we see those pictures, it’s very memorable. Crystal World is definitely the best destination to spend time. A complete holiday destination to spend a valued time with family. The staff is also very helpful. Hold your breath for the thrilling and adventurous water rides and many more.

Lots of rides to enjoy. The prices are also reasonable. Also, there is 200 Rs discount for students and kids. The slides are very exciting, scary and challenging. The water quality is decent, nothing too special, if you are concerned about water quality water parks are not for you. The waves are good, but with many people it gets so weak and disappointing. The amusement park attached was also good, specially the ride that good through the water stream. I recommend you take own nylon shots and shirts as other fabrics are not allowed and the charge for renting is a bit high.

This so called water park has no charm and it looks like an abandoned place as soon as you step inside. 👎❌ No sign of maintenance, no facilities, and rude staff behaviour. You won’t get good vibes here and it was mostly empty even when I visited on a Saturday. Though slides and jhulas were operational but they are actually rusted scrap and you wouldn’t even want to try them. Looks like they just resumed it after Covid without any renovation. I haven’t been to a worst place than Crystal World water and theme park. It deserves to be shut down. I even asked for a refund right after but they obviously denied my request. See the pictures and videos to judge yourself. I’d advise everyone to avoid this place and save your time and money.

Crystal World is in Haridwar near the highway . It is a great weekend getaway for families and kids! The place has a nice mix of fun, entertainment, and good food. The highlight for me was the Snow World and the Snow Museum — both are amazing experiences, especially if you want to beat the heat. The Snow World gives you that real chill factor with ice slides, snow sculptures, and music, while the Snow Museum showcases some really creative snow-themed displays that make for perfect photo spots. Specially the 3D snow photos. The park has a decent number of rides and attractions, though a few could use a little maintenance. What adds to the charm is the Food Hub, which offers plenty of options to refuel between rides. The Haldiram’s outlet inside is a huge plus — clean, well-organized, and perfect for a quick meal or snack. The overall atmosphere is vibrant and family-friendly. It can get a bit crowded on weekends, but if you go on a weekday, you’ll really enjoy your time. All in all, Crystal World is a fun and refreshing place for a day out in Haridwar — worth a solid four stars!

It's a lovely place to visit with family and friends, although it can get a little crowded, and there may be some wait times for the slides. The food outlets are excellent. Allowing at least four to five hours will ensure you have ample time to enjoy all the water slides and amusement park rides.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Crystal World is one of the best amusement and water parks I’ve visited. The place is clean, well-managed, and perfect for families, couples, and friends. The variety of water slides and rides makes it super fun and exciting, especially on hot days. The wave pool and lazy river areas are amazing for relaxing, while the high-speed water slides give you that thrilling adventure. The amusement park side is also enjoyable with rides for all age groups. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the safety measures are properly followed everywhere. There are plenty of food options inside the park, and the pricing is reasonable compared to the overall experience. The best part is the atmosphere—good music, nice crowd, and a refreshing environment. If you're looking for a day full of fun and enjoyment, Crystal World is definitely worth it! ✔️ Clean & well maintained ✔️ Fun rides and water slides ✔️ Good food & reasonable tickets ✔️ Perfect place to enjoy with family & friends Highly recommended! 🎉🌊

The Rajaji Tiger Reserve is a famous wildlife reserve in Uttarakhand, India. It is home to a variety of animals including elephants, wild boar, deers, stags, leopard and nature. Although it is not the best place to see tigers (as they are relatively rare), the park is still a great place to visit if you love safaris.

Jungle safari is the best thing. Request your guide to take hidden secret places to watch more wild animals.

Rajaji Park is a must visit place. Hire a Jeep Safari with a guide and try to visit early in the morning in summers. Free of almost all kinds of pollution and plastic. Natural habitat for animals like Tiger, Leopard, Bear, Deer, various types of birds, etc. We saw various birds and deer. It is rare to see Tigers.
