Non-profit organization
Nestled in the sacred city of Haridwar, Shri Prem Nagar Ashram is a serene oasis that invites visitors from around the globe to find solace and spiritual rejuvenation. Established in 1944 by Yogiraj Satgurudev Shri Hans Ji Maharaj, this tranquil ashram was brought to life through the dedication of his devoted followers. Set just 3 km from the bustling heart of Haridwar, it offers a peaceful retreat adorned with lush gardens and a soothing fountain.
Nestled on the banks of the Ganga Ghat, this ashram is an ideal sanctuary for meditation and spiritual pursuits, offering a serene environment that fosters inner peace and self-discovery. Established in 1944 by Hans Ji Maharaj, the ashram's origins trace back to a profound moment when he witnessed a snake and a mongoose drinking water together at the Ganga Ghat. Inspired by the harmonious energy of the place, he decided to create an ashram here. Today, the sprawling Prem Ashram is managed by Satpal Maharaj Ji and stands as a testament to its founder's vision. One of the ashram's highlights is the Govardhan Hall, a massive space dedicated to satsang and meditation. As the largest hall in Asia, it spans 6,000 square meters and features a unique single-span design without supporting columns. Encircled by corridors on all four sides, the hall creates an awe-inspiring sense of vastness, capable of accommodating up to 25,000 people. Stepping inside, one feels as though they have entered a boundless, tranquil space. Another notable feature is the sacred Panch Pallav tree, where five different trees—vata, pipal, pakar, mango, and gular—grow together from a single base. The leaves of this ancient tree are considered auspicious and are used in religious rituals. Symbolizing the five senses, the five leaves of Pancha Pallav are placed atop a water vessel during puja, representing the divine feminine energy. The ashram also boasts a stunning Lord Shiva Fountain, which becomes a mesmerizing sight at night when illuminated with multicolored lights. Additionally, the campus includes well-maintained, three-story restroom (toilet) facilities for men and women, a temple, and lush green lawns dotted with numerous trees, including the sacred Rudraksh tree. Over time, the area surrounding the ashram has transformed into a bustling, upscale neighborhood with various commercial establishments and showrooms of major brands. Situated at the confluence of Jawalapur, Kankhal, and Haridwar, the ashram remains a peaceful retreat amidst the growing urban landscape. To ensure transparency and prevent fraud, the ashram does not offer online booking for accommodations. Visitors are encouraged to make arrangements directly through the ashram's official channels.

Rooms with coolers were available. We stayed in a double bedroom for 4 people and it was on 1st floor. Rooms for 2 people with lift were available at the Ashram entry. Rooms with AC were all occupied (as per the reservation manager). Room cleanliness: 4/5 Bedsheets and pillows: 5/5 Location: 5/5 Cool Drinkable water was available downstairs. Asharam has a Ghat which had very few people and we enjoyed taking a dip in Holy Ganga and relaxed with no hurry. Car parking is on the street within the ashram premises.

I love the ambience of the Ashram and people are very sweet and cooperative. Rooms are good and food is also wonderful. Love the place as it's very user friendly and to be honest pocket friendly.

The ashram's ambiance exudes a sense of peace and spiritual energy, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in meditation and self-reflection. The lush surroundings and the gentle flow of the holy Ganga river nearby create a serene atmosphere for spiritual seekers. The ashram's teachings and spiritual guidance, combined with the simplicity of accommodation and meals, provide a holistic experience. Whether one seeks inner peace, spiritual enlightenment, or simply a serene retreat, this aashram stands as a sanctuary, offering a path towards self-discovery and rejuvenation.

Very pleasant atmosphere and big rooms with all basic amenities. There is ganga running at other end of the campus and ghats could be accessed through Eastern doors.Water is available 24×7 both drinking and domestic use.Ample car parking space and a big garden to make you feel at space. There is a free of cost food seva * Langar) in afternoon and evening. Only disadvantage is that outside food not allowed in the rooms but it's amidst market hence many good hotels and restaurants around.

Saptrishi Ashram, located near Haridwar, is a serene and traditional Hindu spiritual center where accommodation, religious instruction, meditation, and ritual bathing are offered. The ashram is believed to be the place where seven great sages or Saptarishis meditated. Nestled by the riverbank, it is a popular site for both Hindu devotees seeking solace and visitors looking to find peace through meditation and yoga practices.
Very peaceful and neat & clean place, it's the starting point of river Ganga in Har ki Pouri Haridwar, as describe in name Saptarishi Ashram, Maa Ganga divide here in seven rows.

We’ve been staying at Saptarishi Ashram in Haridwar for the past 4 days in the month of May, and it’s been a truly wonderful experience. Nestled by the serene banks of the Ganga, surrounded by natural beauty, the ashram offers a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city—yet it’s only 3-4 km away. Each guest has their own independent cottage at a very minimal cost, making it feel like a home away from home. The staff are extremely kind, helpful, and ensure a comfortable stay. bring your utensils and cook food for yourself, otherwise just told them they deliver at your stay, If you’re looking for calm, simplicity, and a spiritual touch in Haridwar, this place is a hidden gem!
Aditya P — Google review
Saptarshi Ashram, located on the serene banks of the Ganges River in Haridwar, is a peaceful sanctuary for spiritual seekers. Known for its rich history and mythology, the ashram is named after the seven great sages (Sapt Rishis) who meditated here. Its tranquil atmosphere and proximity to the holy Ganges create a spiritually charged environment perfect for meditation and self-reflection. Visitors can participate in yoga and meditation sessions led by experienced practitioners, offering a deep sense of peace and mental clarity. One of the highlights of the ashram is the evening Ganga Aarti, a mesmerizing experience that combines rhythmic mantras, flickering diyas, and the calming flow of the river, providing a truly divine ambiance. The ashram also hosts spiritual lectures and discourses by renowned saints, offering valuable insights into ancient teachings and modern spirituality. Emphasizing an eco-friendly and simple lifestyle, Saptarshi Ashram provides various accommodation options, from basic rooms to more comfortable choices, catering to all types of visitors. A dip in the holy Ganges is believed to cleanse the soul, adding to the rejuvenating experience of the ashram. The best time to visit is between October and April when the weather is pleasant. A visit to Saptarshi Ashram is an opportunity to disconnect from the chaos of daily life and connect with the divine in a peaceful, sacred space.
Anshuman S — Google review
It's a popular ashram, situated on the bank of river Ganga. One can visit this ashram and also spend some time looking at the beautiful river flowing by. The river is actually quite wide here. This Ashram is located at a walking distance from Shantikunj.☺️
Samrat C — Google review
OMG! This is a scenic heavenly looking place with the least crowd, unlike the rest of Haridwar. This is a spot where you find the peace and solace you look for and the view of clear pristine Ganga. Its pastel colored rocky banks soothes your eyes, its ripples soothes your ears and the cold breeze soothes your senses. It’s a very photogenic place for photographers and who loves to take good portraits with a calming backdrop. Here the water is clear and you can see the river bed very clearly.
Anne B — Google review
A very good location for stay. If you want a place to stay outside the hussle of city this is a gem place. We stayed in 4 bedded 2 room kutia. It was an awesome stay. Everyone loved it. There is a private ghat near Maa Ganga, with is hardly 200mtr in walking distance. You can enjoy the morning sunrise. It's better to book the kutia before visiting but as I have seen there is no such rush so generally kutia is available. Rooms are not as clean as hotels but it is good. Better ask for new buildings. These are good.
Shubhendu S — Google review
For the first time have chosen to stay in ashram in haridwar and not in hotel. It was the best decision, so beautiful Ashram and it's territory. We started in separate kutiya and so peacefully spend time there, waking up while hearing morning Puja sound and birds.
Ana C — Google review
Neat and clean, lots of mango trees and accomodation in seperate kutir apartments, plenty of parking. Located at the place where Sapt-Rishis worshiped -no where on world this location can be replicated. Have their own Ghat on Ganga, neat and clean to bathe. Has canteen for food, many places for eating, Famous Bharat Mata mandir is 5 min walk. Honestly much beyond my expectations of an Ashram. Plus bonus- it also has a naturopathy clinic.

Jai Ram Ashram, located in Bhimgoda, Haridwar, was established by Adi Guru Sri Jai Ram Maharaj in 1891 and has gained popularity for its services. The ashram is situated near the city center and offers well-maintained gardens with colorful fountains and blooming flowers. It provides accommodation near the Har ki Pauri and offers a serene atmosphere by the Ganga river.
I bet you can't get a better place to stay in Haridwar. Located just walking distance from Har ki Pauri, this Ashram offers so much positivity when you are there. Located right on the bank of river Ganga, this is just an amazing place. Rooms are so near and clean. The Lunch and Dinner which this place offers is eve better than any luxurious meal you'll ever have. Just undoubtedly best place to stay in Haridwar. Location on Google maps is not correct. This is located right opposite to Yatri Niwas at Bhim Goda.
Akhil G — Google review
Office staff behavior very rude and show attitude. They don't know how to talk to people. There is no clarity how much room charge against each category, it should be transparent so that visitor aware and office people are not ask over price. As per office staff minimum charges Rs 4100/day more than Hotel charges. Owner / chairperson please look such issue otherwise vistor avoid take this. As I am aware Jai Ram one of the best ashram in Haridwar.

Oh my God... such rude people ...I cannot believe such religious people can talk rubbish to any person.. such inhumane attitude... they should never pick up the phone if they want to degrade and insult the person on other side of phone... I visited this place 14 years back and had such good memories till I called today to enquire.. ts better to book hotel when u know u have to pay at both places...

I would really recommend this as a great place to stay at Haridwar at reasonable price. Clean rooms and bathrooms. It has a new and an old building. The old building has a Ganga Ghat of its own. It is very close to the Vishnu and Har Ki Pauri Ghats and also the market place. Although one thing is to be kept in mind that is the timing to get inside the Ashram is 10:00 p.m. It is easily accessible from the Haridwar Railway Station.

Shri Santosh Puri Ashram, located 8 kilometers from Haridwar, offers guidance in education, transformation, and home. Kirstine S — Google review
I went to this surreal and mesmerizing Ashram in the last week of December 2021. My experience here has expanded and further awakened my consciousness to a higher level. The vibrations and positive energy this Ashram oozes and especially from the people here is unbelievable. Gangaji, Alaknandaji, Mandakiniji and Rudraksh are some of the finest people you will ever meet in the whole wide world and they embody the characteristics and qualities that God had intended for us and would want his children to embrace and live with. Even the 4 pet dogs have this aura around them. I guess this place does it to you! I spent much time meditating, doing yoga and having deep spiritual and interesting conversations with them. And I cant be grateful enough for the opportunity to experience supreme bliss at this Ashram. The Ashram is located in a very quiet and peaceful part of Haridwar. There is a forest outside the Ashram with Mother Ganga flowing next to it. Sunrises are spectacular from this location in the forest on the banks of Gangaji. You can go for walks or runs and feel fully energised. And I have to say I was so happy to be welcome with warmth and gratitude at the Ashram. This Ashram follows the tenets of the traditional Ashrams that used to be the cornerstone of Indian culture and life for thousands of year. To experience the real Ashram life and to connect with your inner being, consciousness and the Universe, look no further and DO VISIT this place. You will be very thankful as I am. And I will be going back again and again! And there are no Covid related health issues here. It is completely safe for anyone wishing to take a break from their everyday life and experience bliss.

I'm finishing the yoga training 200h. I have only one wish now: to come back doing 2 others months. What a wonderful place. Come to become a yogi or just enjoy this bless area and the amazing family. Thank you so much. Om.
Conscience S — Google review
Surrounded by nature, close to the Ganga, this beautiful Ashram and the accommodation is a bliss to stay. I did the third month of the teacher training (200hr) and I can highly recommend it. The teacher training goes into the depth of what authentic yoga is. So much more deeper than 'only' asana's. What I learned here about purifying, pranayama, asana's, sanskriet, mantra's, Ayurveda, yoga philosophy (old scriptures, as Bhagavad Gītā and Patanjali), and many more, I will cherish the rest of my life. The YogAnga hatha yoga sequence you learn here, is so complete and behind everything, there is a deeper layer. The connection with and the respect for, the nature during the training made it perfect for me. Ganga, Mandakini and Gangotri are born yogi's, giving in a passionate way their teachings, and it was an honor to learn from them. Their life stories (and about their parents) inspires so much. It's a great opportunity to do a teacher training in an environment like this, joining the ashram-life, in a place that breathes yoga and spirituality. The Sri Santosh Puri Ashram feels like home, the Ayurvedic food is delicious, and I can't wait to join another month of teacher training!

It was a wonderful experience to stay at Shree Vyas Ashram. Very quite, peaceful and beautiful environment. The best thing is to attend the Aarti (Morning & EveningPrayer), not to miss. The kitchen facilities are awesome 👌. Priests and staff were very humble and supportive(Thanks to all, V. Prabhu took care of us at most). The only thing that needs improvement is the rooms moisture/mold. Overall, it's a divinity staying.

We went there after Har ki Dun trek and relaxed in ambience of Vyas Ashram. Very well maintained greenery and floral garden. Satvik food and calmness all around. Beautiful temple of Vedvyasa and Kashi math swamiji. Worth visiting and staying for couple of days to calm your nerves.

Wonderful little green spiritual den in a dirty and bustling area, only if the locals took better care of the area would I have recommended this place better. Free food during the stay was also a good addition, mostly open to GSBs. The place lacks enough demand for round the year accomodation and hence might not be sustainable in the long run. Worth a visit, but probably better facilities are available elsewhere for stay and accessibility purposes.

If you are expecting a Hotel-like amenities, this is not a place for you. But if you are expecting a homely environment with people filled with Sewa bhaav, this is a place to stay. This was my second visit to this place and the experience was good. Its a value for money option with deliciously homely food options.

People are too rude.... You are not allowed to have food by yourself they serve only some quantity... If asked for more they'll say that's enough there's others also.... Cooler was leaking.... Whatever you ask them they'll reply rudely no matter how simple question you ask they won't answer politely... Sewa karna hai to prem bhaav se karo na k ehsaan karo.... Won't ever recommend this dharamshala to anyone.... Insaan thoda jyada paisa de kar dusri jagah reh le... Jahan logon me tameez ho ... Very bad experience....

Yoga P — Google review
The Maa Anandamayee Ashram in Kankhal, Haridwar, is one of the most peaceful and spiritually uplifting places I have visited. Dedicated to Maa Anandamayi, one of India’s most revered spiritual saints, the ashram beautifully preserves her teachings and continues to radiate the serenity she embodied throughout her life. The moment you enter the ashram premises, a sense of calmness and positivity surrounds you. Unlike the usual hustle of Haridwar’s ghats, the ashram is quiet and serene, making it a perfect retreat for anyone looking to disconnect from worldly chaos. The gardens are well-maintained, filled with flowering plants, and the pathways are clean and soothing to walk through. Sitting under the trees or by the meditation halls, one can truly feel the divine vibrations that linger in this sacred space. The samadhi of Maa Anandamayi is the central attraction here, where devotees sit in silence, meditating and offering prayers. The samadhi area is beautifully maintained and creates an atmosphere of deep devotion. The temple within the ashram is simple yet filled with spiritual energy. Chanting, bhajans, and occasional discourses add to the uplifting ambience, making every visit a soulful experience. What I found truly inspiring is how the ashram not only preserves the memory of Maa Anandamayi but also continues her legacy of selfless service. The trust runs various charitable and spiritual activities, keeping alive her message of love, devotion, and inner awakening. Reading about her life and teachings inside the ashram’s library and exhibition areas adds so much meaning to the visit. Another wonderful aspect is the presence of devotees and visitors from across the world. Despite cultural differences, everyone comes together here with one common purpose — peace and spiritual growth. The environment is welcoming, calm, and deeply inclusive. ✨ Tips for Visitors: * The mornings and evenings are the best times to experience the ashram’s peaceful aura. * Spend some quiet moments near the samadhi for meditation — it feels truly transformative. * If possible, attend the prayer sessions or satsangs, which are deeply enriching. In conclusion, the Maa Anandamayee Ashram is not just a religious place, but a sanctuary of peace and spiritual wisdom. It offers a rare opportunity to pause, reflect, and connect with the divine within. If you are in Haridwar, this ashram is a must-visit for a soulful experience beyond rituals and traditions.

Discriminated Ashram....Is it really a Social Service... Please don't do fake service in the name of God . The worst Ashram I have ever experienced with my family. I have visited Somnath, dwarika, shantikunj, madhavanand ashram....but never disgusted and disturbed. I have always loved Gujarati Tradition but here is what I got...a discrimination of being Non Gujarati. If you are not allowing non Gujarati Family ,then Why the hell are you guys operating In different state....Go to your state...I felt insulted and my family felt insulted. There were two guys one was asking about my state and the other was asking am I Gujarati or not. Shame on you guys.... Shanti Kunj always welcomes everyone not like you guys....You don't deserve to operate in the place of Dev.....Go to your state...now..

Excellent Ashram to stay in Haridwar. It has private ghat, excellent spacious rooms, serene atmosphere and easily accessible approach. The restaurant gives simple and best food at very reasonable rates. The staff is polite and cares for guests. Room layout is impressive. Has beautiful ashrams nearby, having wonderful architecture and design as well as worship places. Good place for Yoga and meditation.

The Ashram has extremely basic infrastructure with no room service, no television, no intercom and obviously no wifi. But it has a private ghat down a flight of stairs at a distance of about 200 meters, where one can take a bath in the holy river. Parking is at a distance, so luggage needs to be unloaded before the vehicle is sent for parking. The inhouse canteen is ill equipped, understaffed and very basic. There are very few options among dishes and the service is quite tardy. We had booked two rooms for two nights but shifted to a hotel after one night.

AC Cooler & simple rooms to choose from. Rooms itself are big in size with 2-3-4 bed options with attached lat bath facility. Cleanliness is on top priority both inside and outside the room. Bhuma Niketan is a Hindu ashram and shrine located in Haridwar, dedicated to social welfare and adorned with intricate statues depicting Hindu mythological deities. Founded by Swami Shri Bhumananda Teerth Ji, the sanctuary is known for its lifelike sculptures of various gods and goddesses, with a popular statue of Lord Shiva at the entrance gates.
Nice time with family and place is very neat and clean I would recommend please visit once if you some time in your visit to Haridwar its very close to Har ki Paudi

It is a project by Swami Bhumanand bhakt and a religious place with a number of small temples inside, suitable for family, kids etc. Very beautiful architecture, idols of various events in Ramayan, Mahabharat, Chardham visits etc. Outside entry is through a Kalash and inside is a beautiful scene of Lord Shiva with Ganga entry on the earth with Bhagiratha efforts. Mobile is allowed after entry ticket for mobile otherwise general entry is free.
Brijmohan D — Google review
Bhuma Niketan Temple is a serene and spiritually enriching site, nestled along the scenic route of Haridwar's pilgrimage circuit. The temple exudes peace and devotion, offering visitors a tranquil atmosphere away from the bustle of the city. Its architecture is striking, with beautifully carved idols, especially of Lord Shiva and various Hindu deities, which add a vibrant and divine charm to the surroundings. One thing that stands out is the calm environment and the cleanliness maintained in and around the temple premises. The gentle chants and bhajans playing throughout create a serene experience that's both meditative and welcoming. What keeps it from being a 5-star spot, however, is that it's slightly less known, so some visitors might miss it if they're not guided properly. Also, it can get crowded during festival times, and facilities like parking or shaded resting areas could be better organized. Still, Bhuma Niketan is a hidden gem in Haridwar—worth a visit for anyone seeking spiritual comfort and a quiet moment of reflection amid the holy vibes of the city.

Place is really good with some great jhankis but is not very well maintained. The sculptures and the jhankis have turned faded and old. It is not very well maintained. For religious person and some photography freaks, this place can ve very interesting. They also charge you for taking photographs. We were charged Rs 31 for two mobile cameras. The behaviour of the person at the counter and the staffs here are also not very good. Overall you can enjoy here as some jhankis are good. This is also a peaceful place to be. We went there at the day time so it was not very crowded.

I still remember those days when I was a kid and I used to visit there every Wednesday on "humara Bajaj "scooter. Adjacent to this Temple, there are many ashrams and temples with beautiful scenery depicting hindu mythology . This temple also has many small exhibitions some of them are electrically mechanised like Krishna is eating (mouth of idol is motorized which is periodically opening and closing). Opposite to this temple, there is a beautiful ghat and you can enjoy your winter noon and summer evenings there. Nearby places (Must visit )- Vaishno devi temple, Bharat mata mandir, Sapt Rishi ashram, Gayatri kunj, Bhuma niketan Ghat, Tulsi mandir

Situated on the Saptasarovar Marg, Bhuma Niketan is a popular pilgrim spot in Haridwar. Founded by Swami Sr Bhumananda Teerth Ji, the Bhuma Niketan is currently under the guidance of Swami Achutyananda Teerth. Bhuma Niketan is surrounded by water fountains and green lawns and serves both as a temple and a shelter for the visiting pilgrims. Being a charitable trust, the organization provides free services, such as free food and shelter for the poor, the disabled and the old, alike. Apart from providing medical aide, the trust has also established a school under the name of Bhuma Niketan school.

Bhimgoda Barrage is a significant metal irrigation and hydroelectric dam that features a sizable reservoir. It is named after the kund of Bhimgoda, which was created when Bhima, one of the Pandava brothers, thrust his knees into a rock and water sprang out. The barrage is known for its wildlife sanctuary where migratory birds, including Siberian Cranes, can be spotted during winters.
This barrage is built on the river Ganga. The flow of the river was so fast.It looked very nice.

Superb place to visit. Just cross the bridge, take a right turn n find the way down to river ganga. There is nothing there, no shop, no nothing. Just see the clear water flowing, feel the cool breeze on ur face, sit down n just be with the nature n mother ganga. U will not feel like going away.
Mnu K — Google review
We were in Haridwar on a vacation tour, and that is when we visited the Bhimgoda barrage. The best part was that we got to visit this at Night, and the experience was altogether different seeing this at Night. The reservoir in itself is vast and is also used for hydroelectricity generation. However, the sheer force of water that you can experience at the actual control point is terrifying. Though at Night, we got tons of clear pictures of the entire barrage road, and also, though chilly, it was a surreal experience to see the entire reservoir filled to the brim. I suggest a must-visit place. And visit the barrage and the control point at Night to have an altogether different experience.

Chandigarh Bhawan, nestled near the serene Saptrishi Ghat in Haridwar, stands out as a charming dharamshala that offers an economical stay for families and travelers alike. With basic amenities and comfortable rooms featuring three beds and air conditioning, it provides a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. The dining hall serves food during events and festivals, although the culinary offerings are described as average.
I had a truly peaceful and comfortable experience at Chandigarh Bhawan near Shantikunj. The location is perfect—just a short walk to Shantikunj Gate No. 3, yet away from the hustle of the city. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained with proper AC, geyser, and TV facilities. The atmosphere felt very calm and spiritual, especially with the Radha Krishna and Shiv temples inside the premises. The staff was extremely polite and helpful throughout my stay, they handled everything with professionalism and warmth. The vegetarian food served at the canteen was delicious and homely—just what one needs during a spiritual trip. Also, the ample parking space and elevator access made it very convenient for my elderly parents. Maharaja Agrasen Ashram & Dharamshala in Haridwar is a great place to stay for families, offering clean and comfortable two, three, four and six-bedded AC rooms at an affordable rate. The Bhojanalaya serves delicious meals at just 100 INR per plate. The property maintains a calm, family-friendly atmosphere by not allowing bachelors.
We found a great place to stay in Haridwar for our family of five, all for under 1500 per night. The rooms were clean and comfortable, making it a pleasant stay. They also offer a lunch and dinner service at just 100 INR per plate, which is both affordable and tasty. The food is prepared without onion and garlic, but still full of flavor. One thing to note is that the property doesn’t allow bachelors, which helps maintain a calm, family-friendly atmosphere. Overall, it’s definitely worth considering if you're visiting Haridwar!

I have all good things to cite about this place. Had a really comfortable stay. Rooms are AC and ther are three categories of rooms, double, triple and rooms with two double bed which can accomodate four people. Rates are affordable. The food in the canteen/mess inside is homely, hygenic, without onion and garlic and wonderfully tasty. Highly reccommended. Contact their reception for bookings either through phone or walk in.

Overall Stay Review: My stay was generally comfortable, with a mix of positives and areas that could use improvement. Here’s a clear breakdown: Pros: Spacious & Well-Furnished Rooms: Recently upgraded, with inviting and functional interiors. Affordable Dining: The ₹100 thali system offers fresh, good-quality meals at great value. Pleasant Ambience: The property has a calm and comfortable atmosphere. Cons: No Electric Backup: A significant issue during power outages. Ineffective Air Conditioning: Struggles to maintain comfort during hotter hours. Inconsistent Staff Service: Staff could be more prompt and attentive to guest needs. Poor Outdoor Cleanliness: Common areas and surroundings lack proper maintenance. Distance from Har Ki Pauri: Located about 3 km away, which may not be ideal for those wanting close proximity. Verdict: The property has good potential, especially in terms of room quality and food. However, addressing key issues like power backup, AC performance, cleanliness, and staff attentiveness—along with its location—would make it a much more appealing choice for travelers.
Sudhanshu K — Google review
I recently stayed at the Haridwar Maharaja Agrasen Ashram & Dharamshala and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite being registered as a Dharamshala, they charge prices equivalent to a hotel room, which sets certain expectations regarding the quality of service and amenities. However, the reality was disappointing. There was no proper electricity supply, and the backup system was unreliable at best. The AC units in the rooms were more than 10 years old and not functioning, making the stay uncomfortable, especially during the hotter parts of the day. When I raised these concerns with the staff, their response was shockingly unprofessional. They behaved very rudely and even resorted to abusive language, which is completely unacceptable in any hospitality setting. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made. It's disheartening to see such poor service and maintenance at a place that charges hotel-level rates.
Mohit P — Google review

Very bad food it's smell like poop Our Ac is not working like baba aadam zamana Washroom average
Mehta D — Google review
The ashram has recently renovated rooms, offering a more comfortable stay for visitors. The food served is simple yet tasty. A ghat is just a 3 to 4-minute walk away, though it is not deep enough for a dip, and the water flow is quite strong. Har Ki Pauri is about a 10-minute ride by battery auto, while Maa Vaishno Mandir, Ram Mandir, and Bharat Mandir are within walking distance. Nearby, there is a bustling market perfect for window shopping and exploring the local culture. Visit Maharaja Agrasen Asharm to find inner peace and connect with nature. It is simple, disciplined, a place where one can escape the noise of the world and find calm.

A neutral rating to be very honest. if you're a student who is trying to explore Haridwar with friends then this ashram is a normal decent accommodation at rupees 750/- rs, there are other factors that apply though-- //CONS// * the rooms are not clean. * they aren't protected by a lock and you have to bring your own security. * the checkout timing is 8am sharp, if you exceed even by a minute they'll renew your booking. * the rooms and the bedsheets are dirty with days worth of webcobs and such. * water from your feet on the alley will piss the owner off even though his balcony literally opens up on the ghat. * no food service available in the residence * they ask (order) you to pay their staff 50/- rupees * you're bound by a deadline to enter the premises because they close the gates at 9 sharp. * if you're from another country and you're looking to smoke or partake in alcohol then it's restricted in the vicinity, and if you're Indian it's obvious because it's a holy city. //PROS// * you have a private ghar with barely any traffic. * good place if you want to meditate * great for photographers who want to click record Arti and ghat view. * just beside the ashram you get a good Arti show with minimum people around.

Been there with family for 2 days in Sept 2018 and we enjoyed our stay. I liked couple of things. First, being in the bay of Ganga and the environment. Second, room was quite good and we five people got accommodated. well, you will not find the room ambience like a hotel but its like a normal house (ashram suppose to be like that). Third, Fair pricing and budget friendly with a bonus of great location. Trustee mr pandy ji is a very straight forward person and personally i liked him after having a nice conversation. overall a great stay and strongly recommend to this place.

I recently stayed at Sant Mandal Ashram booked through Yatra Dham and had a disappointing experience. Despite booking a two-bedroom room with a cooler, I was given a room on the 4th floor, which was inconvenient for my 70-year-old mother. Additionally, the room provided was near a kitchen ventilation area, causing persistent coughing throughout the night. The service did not match what was promised, and the overall experience was far from satisfactory. I would not recommend Yatra Dham based on this experience. Improvements are needed in both the booking process and customer service to avoid such issues in the future

They charged me rs 1300/- per room per night. i.e. Rs. 5200/-. 😢 The AC rooms were stinking like a hell with very rotten blankets and dirty bedsheets. The irony is that during this (first week of July) off season even hotels were providing best rooms quite cheaper than this. If you want to enjoy this holy place then better stay at a hotel. Or you can explore other places like Punjab and Sind Kshetra , they have their own hues parking area unlike Sant Mandal Ashram.

It was not that good.. The room was for 475 online..But later on I though it was not a good deal you can find more rooms even near hari ki pauri ghat without booking online... But no idea about the availability in festivals or peaks days related to spiritual festivals Lord Shiva..

Stayed there for overnight and found it good. It has parking facility also inside for around 10 cars which is sufficient in normal days.

Shri Ramanand Ashram in Haridwar is located in Shravan Nath Nagar which is near the railway station. This is the important ashram in the Ramanand Sampraday. The current chief of the Ashram is Mahant Bhagwan Das. Shri Ramanand Swami was born to a Brahmin family and is considered to be the incarnation of Uddavji who was a very close friend of Lord Shri Krishna. Uddhav Sampradhay was founded and headed by Shri Ramanand Swami. He adopted the Vishishtadvaita doctrine of vaishnavas that was advocated by Shri Ramanuja, a Vaishnavite saint. It is also believed that during his visit to Sri Rangam in his early life Shri Ramanand Swami was given “diksha” by Shri Ramanuja and has appointed him as an acharya in his line. After which he travelled north to Kathiyavad and started spreading his philosophy. In 1802, before his death he passed the Uddhav Sampraday to Swaminarayan. From Purusharthi Market near the Haridward Railway Junction, head towards Haridwar Main Road at the south-east Pass by Sabharwal Railway Tickets. On the left at 150m turn left at Hotel Orchid Inn, turn right at Hotel Astha, at 57m turn right again at 140 Km turn left and at 72m you will find Shri Ramanand Ashram in Haridwar.

The asram established in the name of Swamy Ramanand. It's a non profit organization by its kind. The means and intention of the asram is to take care of the monks, brahmacharis by providing essential eminitis like food, accomodation, necessary medication etc.etc. in short and long term basis as per sadhaka's requirement......... In a asram poojarij is the HOD. He is performing poojas, timely rituals, and overall daily routine activities assisted byany followers or imates of the asram. Ramanandasram basically are vaishnavas and follow that tradition. Vaishnava monks and brahmacharis wear white dhothis mainly and jubbas but white only. They wear thulasy mala(ornament) and not rudrakhas. They worship God vishnu. But the asram accomodate any denomination of monks with kavi or any type of dress code without any discrimination. Ramanand asram have many branches throughout India. Uttarkashi, Haridwar,Rishikesh, 4 asrams at Madyapradesh including Guna, inGujrath(exact place unknown) Kanyakumari,Rameshwaram........ And more. But this much is known to me.
